Though an hour probably seemed like an eternity for the participants, a lot was happening behind the scenes in a last minute rush. Producers with tablets ran around relaying information to ensure that the entire night went smoothly. All of them came to Cassava too. People barraged the Saiyan with questions, information, and their general annoyances. While she was trying to prepare, she was also juggling the end results of a makeshift team of crew members. Certainly the woman’s nerves were frazzled, but she began to dress herself for the evening regardless.
This entire event, while something she aimed to have a huge impact, was certainly a shabby get together. The only thing keeping the event on the rails was the woman’s bleeding pockets. Still, she would see no use of the Zeni otherwise. That is, unless Cassava went on mission trips to feel the dying and decrepit providing food and medical care.
After managing to sort out the last minute details, the Lieutenant was off to grab her participants. It was a short walk, but quickly the dark-haired woman burst through the doors her body clad in something different. Long gone were the tattered clothes and makeshift armor.
Lengthy beach waves were hoisted high upon her head in a tight ponytail. Denim shorts hugged at her hips. Upon her torso a black bathing suit top covered her chest. Layered upon that was a bright long sleeved summer blouse which covered her for some additonal modesty.
Cassava was going to be on the HoloNet after all, she couldn’t risk losing audience members at home to PG-13 ratings. No, this show was for all ages! Hopefully her participants wouldn’t let any spare body parts loose tonight either, despite the shenanigans awaiting.
“Hello, hello! The time has come my friends!” Cassava blurted out, her face clearly portraying the anxiety of hosting this entire thing. Alas, her stiff body managed to wave for the group to follow her. From here it was show time. No more stretches, no more food, no more talking.
But there was free booze for the participants, once they arrived to the stadium floor that is.
They walked through many a corridor, the sounds of the patrons above filling the hallway. The woman in her best beach attire led them to an elevator which plummeted to one of the base layers of the magnificent stadium. There was but a single double katchin door separating the group from the spotlights and roaring cheers of the fans that already made it to their seats.
Several assistants swarmed Cassava and assaulted her with powder puffs and last minute additions to her makeup. Truth be told, the warrior wasn’t too used to such appearances, but was giving this her all.
“A-All right guys. This is it. Beyond this door will be the bright lights, sandy ground, and the fierce breath of competition,” Cassava spoke, her own voice trembling as she fought to crank out the words. She shot the group a thumbs up before the doors to the stadium slide open, right on time to start the show.
“Try and play up your entrances a bit. Think, professional wrestling!” Cassava chuckled and turned to fly her way into the stadium.
At the first sight of the doors opening the crowd had already erupted. Men, women, children of all colors and creeds lined the seats of the mega stadium. Surely, there was no shortage of attention for these four participants, and Andrew Creed, who Cassava thought to be Rine’s personal cheerleader.
The Saiyan flew up, a microphone tight in hand as she waved towards everyone in the crowd. At least, that was her attempt to be socialble. The warrior’s voice then boomed to life, the sounds of the patrons simmering to a low rumble so that the host could introduce the contestants.
“Welcome everybody to the First ever Scarlet Summer Games!” A portion of the LED lights that illuminated the stadium diverted to bathe it in crimson light. It certainly hyped up the crowd who waved signs of their favorite planets and participants.
The woman pointed towards the door she exited from and awaited the participants to appear one by one. In the meantime, she took her seat on the sidelines of the arena. There was a white lounge chair prepared, drinks constantly refilled for the nervous host.
“First up, you may love him, you may hate him! We have Duke Satan of Earth! This famous face certainly has the spunk and attitude to bring a crowd to their toes! Let him dazzle us with his enthusiasm and power!” She had chosen some diverse personalities to accomplish this disaster of an event indeed.
“Following him, we have an interesting pair. Rine, the beautiful azure skinned woman! Alongside her partner Andrew Creed she has come to participate, for---some unknown reason! I don’t know much more about the tall beauty, so prepared to be surprised!” Cassava chuckled, her brilliant white smile shining as she eased into talking to a crowd. Still, the people in the audience hooted and hollered as the pair revealed themselves. She quickly took a drink of a properly made sangria.
“I hope you’re ready to be dazzled! We have one mighty pink lady whose skills seem to soar despite her carefree demeanor. Get a load of the cutie, Zam! Hopefully you all fall in love with her, right?” Cassava noted before moving on the last participant. Absolut, or, ‘Colonel Frost’ as he was pretending today. She waved a hand back towards the door while waiting for the rest of the participants to join her beside her elaborate chair set up.
“Finally, we have Colonel Frost representing his kind, the Frost Demons! This dazzling competitor seems quite shy, but we hope to see him pry out his shell today! Give a hand for Frosty!~” Cassava teased with the nickname that Zam had thought of for the frost demon.
Once the group had finally joined her at the sidelines they would see an open tiki bar, providing drinks for the participants for the evening, that is, if they were old enough to drink.
“Feel free to have a drink,” The bartender behind the bar spoke to the group. He was a blue xeno octopus creature. His various tentacles cleaned glasses, prepared drinks, and worked away as he maintained eye contact with the group.
“All right! I know you guys already have your favorites picked out, but first we need to decide teams for the first event! Two versus two, randomly paired---for your enjoyment!” Cassava chuckled and pointed towards a large screen towards the rafters of the stadium. It was large enough for everyone to see, and several similar monitors displayed the same information.
It simply stated Team 1 and Team 2, with two question mark filled boxes beside each title.
Suddenly, the screen shifted, a roulette of four pieces spinning around in a cute animation. Each slice had a simple picture of each participant and spun for what seemed like an eternity.
Finally the roulette came to a stop. It rested on the portrait of Rine. With one more spin, the second choice was Duke Satan. The team screen reappeared and with it the teams finally decided. Team one was Rine and Duke, Team two was the remainder of Zam and Frost.
“There you have it folks! At least, for this team event! Rine and Duke will be opposing Zam and Frost! I’m sure you’re all speculating the game, right? Well, it’s a cult classic! A show of might that only the strongest and most skilled of the participants will win! TUG OF WAR!”
Cassava declared, the spotlights of the stadium focusing in on a single thick rope in the middle of the stadium. In the middle there were several markers indicating how far the opposite team would have to pull for the win. WC: 1312 || 4229 | Tags: Android B "Moxie" Andrew C. Creed Emperor Absolut Majin Zam

Duke had finally finished making calls, and it looked as if the games were about to start any second now. He just hoped that all his contacts got the information right. He would begin some light stretching with a look of unmatched confidence in his eyes. He was going to win these games, and show everyone how weak ki users actually are! No one could stop a guy as strong as him! oh yeah! Soon the doors of the room would open and Cassava would reveal her new bathing suit, "Woah, she's pretty hot" Duke would mutter to himself. If she was here that could only mean one thing, the games were about to begin. It was the earthling's time to shine and put all others to shame! "Alright! Lets do this!!" The champ would don this signature Satan family white cape, and follow the female Saiyan to the main stadium. It was time for his big entrance, and boy would it be. As the woman told them all to play up their entrances, Duke would give a slight nod... There it was! His name had been called by Cassava. Duke would push open the Katchin doors, and begin to slowly and heroically walk into the stadium. As he did, the army of cheerleaders would follow behind him, giving out their signature chant and dance "Duke Duke, he's our man, if he can't do it, nobody can!" Over the stadiums intercom, his theme song would begin to blare! Suddenly, a series of massive pyrotechnic explosions would occur as Duke struck various poses to get the crowd really pumping! In the sky above the stadium, a series of blue and red fireworks would go off in a way which would re-create Mr.Satan's face in the sky. Moments later, a skywriter would fly by writing the word "Satan" under the recreated head. This would not be the end of things however, as the theme music would stop and a full sized marching band world burst into the stadium out of no where, and would start playing an instrumental version of the previous theme song! Duke would finish striking poses after what seemed to be a full 5 minutes, and eventually pick up a microphone. "ARE YOU READY PEOPLE!!!! CAN YOU HANDLE THE SATAN!? AS YOU ALL MAY HAVE HERD: I am indeed the last remaining relative to Hercule Satan! Savior of earth on multiple occasions, and the one who tamed Majin Buu!"Duke would allow the others a chance to present themselves, but he knew he had the most spectacular introduction! Eventually, it would be time for pairings, and Duke decided it would be a good time for a drink. The oaf would walk over to the bartender who would slide him a bring teal colored beverage, "Thanks, keep the change" Duke would say as he tossed the man a 1000 Zeni piece. It appeared that all the beverages were quite tropical, it made sense considering his environment. Duke would take a long sip of his drink until the first pair had been decided. "Rine and Duke" he would do a spit take, comically spitting the blue drink into the air. He was disappointed that he didn't get on a team with Zam or Frost. Those two were much better for publicity. "A Tug of War eh? Heh heh heh! We'll try to go easy on ya kids..." Duke would then point at the two kids, and give the both of them a thumbs down!

A sigh escaped from Creed as the mustached buffoon ran out with his eye candy. All this bravado was beginning to annoy him quite a bit. If he wanted to listen to a fool like this, he would of just gone to The Church of Satan… He would glance over to Rine, noticing her new one-piece bathing suit. Creed was expecting her to be a nervous wreck, as she always had issues with crowds like this. Instead, he would see something...unexpected. There was nothing but a determined scowl as Satan disappeared from view completely. Creed would raise a brow. “You alright?” He would ask, placing a hand on her shoulder. She would suddenly grasp his hand and give a snakish grin. “I’m tired of hearing people cheering for that idiot. Let’s give them something else to cheer for!” “What are you- hey!” She would forcibly pull Creed out with her as Cassava announced the duo. As the two reached the center of the platform, Rine would stop, spin around and kiss Creed. His eyes would widen with surprise, face reddening by the sudden act. Creed had not gone public with his relationship with Rine, at least not in any major way. There were plenty of rumors, but this, this would cement those rumors. Images of the Tycoon and his Xeno lover would undoubtedly be plastered over hundreds of different news outlets. As Rine let go of him, Creed would glance around at the crowd who still cheered for the couple. He’d sigh before giving Rine a slight smirk. “You know, I’m supposed to be the one who does that” Rine glanced down at him, grabbing his arm and raising it up as they continued down to the sidelines. She would lean in slightly. “You would've dropped me” She’d mutter. Creed gave a chuckle at that as they finally reached the bar. Creed leaned on the bartop and ordered two whiskies. He’d glance over at Satan as Rine excused herself to the restroom. “By the way” He’d mutter to the idol. “I would suggest trying not to do anything...unsavory” He would grab his drink and sip from it, raising it up as the other two contestants entered the Bar area. He’d glance over at Satan. “I know more about you than you would expect. If Rine loses because of your actions, I will shatter your image like the thin veil of glass that it is” He’d hand Rine her drink as she returned, leaning over and patting him on the shoulder. “Good luck out there, Duke. I know you won’t disappoint me” Creed and Rine would sit back as they announced the teams. Rine seemed satisfied with getting Duke as a team member, as Zam was obviously too innocent for her own good and Frost seemed quite nervous. She would turn her gaze to the two kids and narrow her eyes. Creed would lean in. “Go easy on them” “No” Creed sighed. “Well, I tried” Word Count: 496 Android B "Moxie" Queen Kuueru Emperor Absolut Majin Zam

The time was up! Zam was trembling with excitement! She didn’t need to be beckoned twice, as she rushed after the host. Along the way, she circled the raven-haired woman like a living satellite. She seemed especially interested in the new look and the reason wasn’t kept secret for long. "Wooow, Miss Cassava, you look super pretty! Not at all scary anymore!" Just seeing Miss Cassava like this was making her want to wear something new and special too! Hm, well, maybe later because now... It was showtime!
First up was, of course, the champ! The little Majin gawked at the spectacle, stunned and speechless. It was like seeing one of those parades in the big city! Sooo this was what they were supposed to do then? But where would she find a marching band so late? Pushing the silly thought aside, she settled for applauding along with the audience. She would do this her own way, yup yup.
However, the next entrance really caught the tomboyish girl off-guard. Quizzically she cocked her head. What was Miss Rine...? Oh! Ooh! That looked like fun! Hmmm... Suddenly she zipped over to Frosty, demanding his attention with a quick nudge or two. Poke poke... Leaning much too close, she voiced her idea without a shred of shame. "Hey, wanna try that too?" Excitedly she pointed at the affectionate adults. Nope, she wasn’t joking. It wasn’t a big deal, right? ...Woops, no time! It was her turn already!
As Zam’s name got called, a mischievous giggle echoed in response. She burst out bouncing, springing and flipping. Boing, boing, boing! Each acrobatic trick released twinkling pink sparks in its wake. She made her own pyrotechnics. With one more bounce she shot high into the air and landed right next to the host. Aaaand pose! Briefly a pink blaze engulfed her before flaring upwards into the sky. "Wooo~!!! Zam is here~!!!" Her jubilant yell was met with wild cheering. She too found plenty of fans in the adoring crowd.
Curiously the girl approached the bar. Eyes glimmering with awe, she watched the numerous arms skillfully working their magic. Imitating the adults, she tapped the counter. "Hey, I want some juice too, please!" After sizing up the short creature with a sceptical look, the octo-alien shrugged and mixed her a bubblegum-colored drink. First she gave the tall glass a tentative sniff. Then a caaareful sip. Hm hm... Sweet! And yummy! It smelled a little funny, but it tasted kinda like fruit so obviously it was juice. Right? Right. Yup, just delicious juice that was making her feel a bit warmer with each gulp!
The golden gaze turned to the monitors. Spinning, spinning, spinning... And ding! Zam let out a happy squee when she got her pair. "Yaaay Frosty!" She reached out to give her teammate a hug for good luck! Woah, watch the glass! Even if the armored ally dodged the affectionate squeeze, the Majin wouldn’t mind. She was just as eager to trade taunts with the competition. "Nyeh hee~! Better do your best or you’ll be sorry~!" She pulled her lower eyelid down and stuck out her blue tongue. "Bleeeh~!" If the adults expected the pint-sized girl to be a feeble opponent, they might be in for a surprise... Words: 551 [Total = 2682] Queen Kuueru - Android B "Moxie" - Andrew C. Creed - Emperor Absolut

The Symbol of Peace... One Day
And there we finally go. After what hardly felt like an hour, Cassava finally showed up in the locker room, wearing denim shorts and a bathing suit, and declared that their time was now. The first event was about to take place and the four participants were set to step out to the roaring masses. The way how the Saiyan dressed quickly reminded Absolut that he didn't look dressed for beach sports at all. Thank god that the Cosmic Suit had an internal cooling system...
The introductions swiftly began, starting with Duke Satan, who, as Absolut had grown to expect from him, put on a flamboyant and bombastic show. The man, if anything, sure knew how to whip up a crowd, even if his introduction felt like it lasted forever. Pose after pose, long speech after long speech, all with roaring crowds and stage effects, over and over... Thankfully, Duke did not hold them up however, and Rine with Andrew ran out right after, pulling each other into a kiss. Aw, that looked cute, didn't it? Surely-
"Hm?" "Colonel Frost" muttered, noticing that someone was poking him. It was Zam, and the girl, after having witnessed Andrew and Rine make a kiss, was asking the young Frost Demon whether he wants to try the same.
H-huh?! Had it not been for the Cosmic Suit obscuring his face, Absolut would have been red as a potato. K-kissing?.. And she didn't even seem like she was joking! Was she... attracted to him or something?
"Um, well... I think, uh..." Absolut tried to respond, rubbing the back of his head, before he was finally saved from the embarrassing fate by Andrew and Rine finishing their introduction, and Zam speeding past them. However, the thought continued to linger in his head as the Frost Demon watched the last of the introductions before his. Cassave didn't even hesitate to call him 'shy'. And if he wants to be a hero, a super hero, then being shy and hesitant is the last thing he wants to be known by. If you hesitate to even strike a normal conversation, then how could you be expected to drop that hesitation when you have to save someone from a burning home?
Plus, this was supposed to be the moment where his hero alias is introduced to the world. He has to make headlines. As difficult as it seemed.
This is dumb. This is so, so dumb. Absolut thought to himself as he stepped towards the platform, his collected brick pace standing out from Duke's extravagance, Rine's energy and Zam's bounciness before him.
Absolut, come on. You've fought space pirates, you've fought giant monsters, and Ikondan space fleets, and didn't yield during any of that. Why should you give up now? It's only for a second, you'll get to prove everyone wrong about denouncing you as shy... and everyone will like it. Even you!
Now get out there, and...
As soon as "Colonel Frost" stopped next to the host, the nanobots composing the Cosmic Suit's metallic face dispersed to the side, while he suddenly reached his hand out to the side. Using his Frost Demon telekinetic powers, he pulled onto Zam, dragging her out of the bar and towards the platform, into his hand, where he promptly planted a kiss. Absolut's target was the Majin's cheek, but, accidentally, he ended up hitting her alcohol-stained lips instead.
Oh god. Oh god. Oh god.
Thankfully, before it went any further, Absolut pulled away, the nanobots composing his armor's face plate collecting yet again, just in case anyone was trying to stare into his face for too long, and confidently raised his left hand to the sky, forming a V sign with his index and middle finger. V for Victory! The stadium was filled with cheers. Why wouldn't it? They just broke the shy kid out of his cage!
Absolut had the least time to wait in the sidelines, mostly spending his time wiping away the smear of alcohol on his lips and desperately trying to not think about what he had just pulled. It was successful in what he had set out to achieve with it, for sure, and his stomach was now filled with butterflies, but...
Oh, and he just happened to get teamed up with Zam for the first event in the games, too. Yeah. That's great. Are you sure Cassava wasn't meddling with the dice or something? The Majin immediately pulled her newfound teammate in for a hug - "Colonel Frost" remained stoic, his eyes focused on his two opponents, but did not try to push Zam away at all. Hell, it was actually kinda nice, wasn't it?
If they're exchanging retorts, though...
"I'm sorry in advance for beating you both." "Colonel Frost" commented, stretching his arms slightly in preparation. Tug of war, huh? That oughta not be too difficult...

The competitors all made the most flamboyant of entrances. It was considerably surprising to the Saiyan hostess who watched from afar with her concerned honey gaze. While, it appeared that mostly everyone came out fine, no tripping, no gasps from the crowd. No, it was something much to the contrary; cheers erupted of all varying levels for the guests of honor. Everyone evoked an excitement from the patrons in their seats, well—those who weren’t standing and displaying their eagerness.
Duke of course had a flamboyant entrance. She had to authorize his manager to let in the crew to set it up after all. Brilliant fireworks light up the sky and the amount of boasting coming from the Earthling was nauseating. The Saiyan sighed when the mustached man came in yelling and trash talking, though---he wasn't the only one. Still, the way he pumped up the crowd she couldn’t stand to be upset for long.
Creed and Rine made quite the introduction. The odd pairing of business partners strolled right in. Though, no one expected the blue alien to pull her superior into a kiss. Cassava wasn’t sure what kind of introductions these were. Would this happen during the normal Galactic Games? She shrugged the thought just in time for Zam's bubbly arrival.
The pink girl was certainly a fan favorite of the evening. She swirled through the air, her aura giving off the appearance of quite the pyrotechnics. While they weren’t quite as loud or elaborate as Duke’s, they suited the Majin just fine.
Finally Frost made his appearance. Quickly the awkward Frost Demon made his way to the congregation. Though, for some odd reason Cassava felt a déjà vu. Now this Colonel was planting unannounced smooches on innocent girls. Hopefully the crowd wouldn’t regard him as a pervert. It was mixed reactions of gasps and cheers. Most however were just enjoying the sight of the boy coming out his shell.
Either way, the group moved on to grab their drinks if they so wished. The couple of the night, Duke, and even the Majin indulged in the sweetly deceiving drinks. Masked behind artificial syrups and sugars was a dastardly high ratio of alcohol to everything else. Cassava didn’t mind that right now though, it helped her anxiety of the stage. She idly took a long sip from the straw of her fruity beverage.
“All right, I’m sure most of you all know the rules! A team on each side, a flag in the center of the rope, and you guys pulling your hearts out, not---literally though, PLEASE. God the producers. . .” Cassava announced, though she half forgot she had a microphone up to her lips.
“Rules are simple enough. Use whatever might you can muster. First team to pull their flag over the line closest to them, wins. Best two of three sound good? Perhaps it’ll give you a chance to warm up!” Cassava announced to both the audience and the participants as she hovered from her lounge chair over towards the sandy arena. Her sandals dug into the sand that was artificially heated to mimic a real beach. Even the dome of the stadium began to close, creating a moment that felt like they entirety of the crowd was closed in a box. Then suddenly, the ceiling illuminated. Rich screens displayed blue skies, puffy clouds, and the speakers even played the daytime sounds of a tropical paradise.
“This here rope is reinforced Katchin 2.0 prototype. Guaranteed not to snap or our money back!” Cassava joked, her smile blasting the entire stadium with joy. With that she picked up one of the heavy ends of the rope and gave it a sharp whip. The Lieutenant kicked up sand with her actions and then playfully let the rope fall to the ground.
“It’s all yours participants. Pick your sides, do your best, and then we will get this party started!”
The giant monitor that listed their faces earlier now showed the results thus far and the starting countdown of the first event. Cassava cleared her throat and waited for the countdown once her participants were in place.
“3, 2, 1 TUGGGGG!” She exclaimed, the crowd roaring to life. WC: 649 || 4878 | Tags: Majin Zam Andrew C. Creed Android B "Moxie" Emperor Absolut

The champ would slam his drink down on the bar counter, it appeared as though he had finished the whole thing in a matter of seconds. It looks like things were about to start, show time! Duke would crack his neck, and then throw his white cape into the air revealing a pair of crimson swim trunks underneath. It looked like the first game would be a classic Tug of War! Duke wouldn't be surprised. He had known about it a head of time, all thanks to a paid informant that would secretly working for the champ. Flexing a bit more, he would call over to his partner Rine, "Come on Rine, we've got this one in the bag! HAHAHA!!" Duke would strut up to one side of the rope like it was nobodies business. This particular side of the rope was marked by black tape, and the other by white tape. Usually, it would be a fair contest of strength, but this would be no ordinary rope... (Flash back to Duke's phone call in the locker room) In a hushed voice Duke would speak over the phone, "Tug of War huh? Got any ideas for that?" On the other end of the call would be Mr. Satan's informant, suggesting a devious plan. "The rope is made of a powerful thread. One end will be marked by white tape, and the other by black tape. A flag will be in the middle. Make sure you grab the black side of the rope, the white will be sabotaged..." As it so happened, the informant was correct, the end of the rope with the black tape seemed to be completely ordinary. Duke and Rine's competitors would not be so lucky however, as their end of the rope would be covered in a thick layer of slippery grease. Duke would give a devilish grin as all of the competitors got into place. It would be time to test the capabilities of his new invisible battle suit, on top of the grease slicked rope. In his mind there would be no way he could loose at this point! As the final number of the countdown had finished, Duke would shout "SATAN PULL!!!" Pulling the rope towards him with all his might and trickery! (Energy Control: 10. -10 for drinking. Result= 1d100+0) YIGqC3P_1d100

Creed set a hand on the shoulder of Rine, whose desire to win was growing by the second. “Remember Rine, it’s just a game. Don’t take it too serious-” She would glare at him. “Try and aim for about a mid level of seriousness” Her gaze returned to the competition as Creed quickly finished his whisky and asked for another. Honestly, there was no threat he could of given Satan that would match the fury storm that would be a losing Rine. Creed would sigh and walk over to the two kids, carrying his new glass of whisky. As he reached the two, he’d take a quick sip of his drink before finding a spot next to them. “Just a heads up, she might seem like a mean person, but she’s actually very nice. Just a bit too competitive. Don’t let her get to you, just try to have fun” He’d take another sip. “Oh, and good job with that act out there, Frost. Takes some balls to do something like that, and you don’t strike me as someone who enjoys big crowds like this. I’d say I’m rooting for you, but-” He’d glance over at Rine with a slight chuckle “I’d prefer to get out of here alive. Good luck out there” Creed would return to his seat as Rine stood to take her spot. He’d raise a glass to her. “I’m rooting for you, dear” She’d give a grunt of acknowledgment before meeting with Duke. As she reached down to grab the rope, she’d sniff slightly before flicking her tounge out like a snake. There was something strange smelling in the air, something greas- She’d quickly snap out of her investigation as Duke began shouting. As soon as the match started, Rine would attempt to pull back the rope with all her strength, digging her feet firmly into the sand. Zam let out a surprised squeak when something invisible snatched her away from the bar. "Eee-mmh-?" Her eyes widened at the soft embrace. Shared warmth rushed through her head. Wonderful flutters filled her chest. It felt... nice. Without thinking, she reached for the boy and gently pulled him closer. Just a little longer... As the moment ended, she gazed at Frosty with a small blush and coy smile. The crowd went wild...er! First Rine’s daring reveal and now this brave display. Somewhere excited journalists were already feverishly typing dreamy articles about young love. Cassava’s publicity was off to a heart-shaped start.
When the game was set to begin, the Majin promptly downed the rest of her strong juice. She was feeling all warm and giddy inside. Like nobody could ever beat her. Yeah, that kiss thing was awesome! Haphazardly she tossed the empty glass over her shoulder and skipped off. Fortunately the deft bartender caught it before anything broke. Mister Andrew’s kind reassurance was happily waved aside. "Isss okay~! Imma gonna kick their butts~!" Just a touch tipsy, she teetered to the sandy arena. Maybe when she won, then she might even get... a head pat? Filled with determination, she lifted the rope.
And 3, 2, 1...
Immediately the rope tried to flee Zam’s grip. Her hands stroked the slippery cable like she was trying to grab an unruly bar of soap. "Woah! Wowowow!" However... She wasn’t without tricks either... Suddenly her arms stretched, wrapping around the rope like constrictor snakes. The slipping stopped. She dug her heels into the sand and puuulled with all her might. "Hnnngh... Now... I got you...!" Steam puffed from the holes lining her body with each tug. For someone so small and squishy, her strength was absurd. It would briefly bring the two adults to a standstill.
But to actually win, she was going to need Frosty. Words: 319 [Total = 3001] Queen Kuueru - Android B "Moxie" - Andrew C. Creed - Emperor Absolut (50 EC - 10 Due to delicious tipsy juice.) 032wuQ9V1d100+401d100+40

The Symbol of Peace... One Day
Andrew's words when the Earthling walked up to Absolut and Zam rubbed a little bit of salt on the open wound. Yeah, that really was a ballsy move, wasn't it? Especially since he barely knew the Majin for more than an hour... So... how did he manage to do it? Or even consider it in the first place? The world wonders...
"Uhm, thanks for that..." "Colonel Frost" muttered in response to Andrew's encouragement and promptly stood behind Zam next to the rope, awaiting the start of the match. As soon as it started, however, the young Frost Demon was quick to learn that something was not right here.
"W-why is the rope all slippery?!" Absolut called out, struggling to get a good grip of the rope. This didn't seem to be a problem for Rine and Duke, they were tugging as hard as they can, and even Zam was not having much of a problem, employing her Majin abilities to render the disadvantage null and void... Damn it, he's gonna let everyone down like that!
Well, if I have to deal with such a disadvantage, then...
"Colonel Frost" suddenly grabbed his piece of the rope and wrapped it around his torso, binding it to a makeshift belt around his body and instantly starting to push to his and Zam's side, the slippery disadvantage swiftly left for naught.

So it was finally time for the first event to start. The crowd roared and moved like an ocean surrounding the area. Cassava was grinning from ear to ear. Not only were these participants introductions already sending her viewer count through the roof, but the goofy and zany events to follow certainly would. With her microphone tight in hand the woman looked towards the group of players as they prepared to tug.
Then, on her command they gave it all they had.
The rope between them snapped taut.
Both teams managed to dig their feet into the sand, though it wasn't the perfect medium for a game like this. Uneven ground shifted and moved with ease with the opposing forces from each side. It would be hard if not impossible to maintain footing, which was only more of a challenge for these superpowered challengers.
Cassava was unaware of anything Duke had prepared ahead of time in terms of foul play. But she couldn't help but overhear young Colonel Frost's words. The Frost Demon certainly called out about the potential cheating, but it was too late---the tugging had begun and the two teams were well into progression. Though they were close in their efforts, ultimately the victor of round one was the team of Rine and Duke Satan. They jerked their flag across the line and narrowly snagged the win! Fortunately, there was more to these games than Cassava had let on.
"All right folks, you saw it first! The first round goes to Rine and Duke! Let's give them and hand and then move onto the next round to determine the true victor of this test of might! Or perhaps, a third round will be needed to determine the true champion!?" Cassava's drinks were clearly roaring through her veins. She chuckled and looked towards her own producers who all seemed to have frowns upon their face. Fortunately for them, they weren't aware of the next plot within her box of entertainment.
"All right all right, chin up competitors! There is still time for redemppptionnnn!~~~" A tipsy Cassava blurted into her microphone as she stood eagerly at the sidelines while the participants prepared for round two. Surely the alcohol in their veins was taking a toll on their bodies, especially with the sudden rush of physical activity.
"Oh---but wait, what's that?!" Cassava looked around as if confused. Suddenly the lights dimmed and the multiple large screens across the stadium illuminated with a simple screen. Suddenly a brilliant yellow background blinded the crowd. Upon it, three icons shifted through over and over again, until ultimately the wheel of images stopped. But what could a pig, a water drop, and a fish mean? Also, how did it affect a game of Tug of War? The crowd all whispered to one another in confusion. Cassava did mention a twist in the games, so hopefully the crowd wasn't too surprised.
"You hear that?! Salty Sabotage this round! Same rules as last time, but this time---there's a bit of a twist yeah? Just try to keep your composure, and out pull your opponent! Good luck!" The Saiyan teased with a mischievous grin. Then the lights were all back on.
The beautiful sight of the beach returned, the brilliant artificial sky fooling none the wiser.
"All right guys, really put your backs into it! 3. . . 2. . . 1. . . TUG!" Cassava ordered again. Yet, as soon as they started tugging, several large robots made their way to the arena floor. They positioned themselves on ever side of the participants before opening their chest chassis. Suddenly, fish.
Yes, wet, sloppy, and dead fish came hurling towards the teams as they tried to play Tug of War. Why? Because Cassava figured it would be amusing. She sat in her chair, her lips greedily sipping up the rest of her sangria before ordering another fruity drink she didn't know.

A massive, goofy grin would run across the champ's face as he soon realized that Rine and himself had gained the lead. Slowly but surly, the flag began to lean towards his direction. Exactly as he had planed, the grease slick had worked perfectly. Strangely enough, it seemed Colonel Frost had managed to see through his little trap, and even verbally pointed out the sabotaged equipment. Duke needed to come up with some sort of cover up, "Uhh, don't be a sore loser there kid! It's just a game after all!" Duke would plant his feet firmly into the ground, until Rine and he had won! "OOOOOHHHH YEAAAAHHHH!! I am the champ!" Duke would begin making several poses as cameras would flash, recording the event for all of history to remember! This was a very proud moment for the champ, very proud indeed! This moment would soon be interrupted as the hostess Cassava announced that his opponents would get a chance at "Redemption". "What, a second chance? I didn't count on that..." Duke would begin to shiver, the greased rope would soon return to normal as the day's heat would evaporate it. Duke would have to rely on the power of his battle suit alone in the next challenge! If all that excitement wasn't enough, this next round would involve fish. That seemed strange. What could fish possibly do to slow them down? Either way, Duke would grip his end of the rope yet again and declare "Alright kids, round two! Lets see what ya got heh heh heh!" As the champ began to tug on the cord, something strange would happen. Two robots would appear out of no where and from their chests would come a barrage of fish! Duke had seen this move used once before, an old sushi chef fighter he took on could use a similar technique! He would begin to duck and jump avoiding the various Halibut, Salmon, and Calamari shot his way. He only hoped that Rine would be adept in fish dodging as he had been. "Doing alright over there kids!?"

Almost...Won… Wait, why was… Rine narrowed her eyes as Frost began to wrap the rope around his waist, complaining about grease on the rope. She knew there was something wrong with the rope, she’d glance back at Satan as they pulled down the two children. He was the one who chose the side of the rope… And even paused when Frost mentioned the grease… That little cheating piece of afro fuzz! She was going to make him regret ever coming to this- Rine’s murderous thoughts were interrupted by the sudden announcement of a second round. Her angered expression slowly turned into a sly smirk. “Second round, you say? Perfect” She’d state simply before reaching down to pick up the rope. At first she began to tug as hard as she could, just as before. But just as it seems the rope was inching close to the kid’s side, Rine would release the rope, catching a fish mid air, turning around and slapping Satan in the face. “YOU LITTLE CHEATING PIECE OF CRAP! YOU COULD OF HURT THOSE KIDS!” She’d shout, continuing to slap him with the fish. “HOW DARE YOU EVEN THINK OF DOING SUCH A THING! YOU’RE LUCKY I DON’T MAKE YOU EAT SAND YOU LITTLE-” Well, you get the picture. Creed would be sitting back, sipping on his glass of whisky with a little grin. He’d lift up his glass again. “Go Rine go!” He’d say loudly. Word Count: 240 Queen Kuueru Majin Zam Emperor Absolut Android B "Moxie" bOD0uV201d100 +15 = 81 1d100

Utter shock froze Zam. Baffled and bewildered, she shifted her stare between the announcer and the opponents. She... lost...? Immediately a pout soured the cheery features. "Oh boo!" Cheeks puffing, she folded her arms and grumbled something about the stupid rope not playing nice. A stray pile of sand got idly kicked. Losing just felt the worst! Even the warm and bubbly feeling couldn’t dampen the disappointment. Fortunately for everyone involved, she had not made the connection between the misbehaving cable and a certain champion. A Majin tantrum would’ve been pretty bad for the ratings. Oh and the entire stadium too.
Luckily, the girl’s childish sulking was cut short by Cassava’s timely reminder. Oh, right, there was still a chance. The rule was best out of three after all. Excitement sparked in the golden gaze again. "Yeshhh! I won’t loshe this time!" The mischievous grin proved contagious. She had no clue what this Salty Sapo... Sabi... Fish thing was, but she was hoping it would turn out something delicious! Grabbing the rope again, she steadied herself. ...As much as she could anyway. Who kept spinning the world around?
And 3... 2... 1... Let’s jam!
Before Zam could put her back into it though, another surprise caught her off-guard. Rain of fish! Nose wrinkling at the stench, she squirmed beneath the bombardment. "Ewww~! Ewewew~!" Puffs of steam formed a distinct X above her head. She liked fishies, but not when they were all slimy and stinky! Yet the protests and wet slaps were accompanied by bursts of playful laughter. The sheer chaos tickled her. Seeing the Miss Rine flailing with a fish was the finishing blow. In an instant, the tipsy girl’s balance and strength were gone. She slipped and flopped, eating a faceful of sand with a dusty puff. Muffled giggling was her only contribution now. Frosty was all on his own this round. The Symbol of Peace... One Day
As much as Absolut and Zam struggled and pushed, the first round of the match fell to Duke and Rine. How unfortunate, especially when it was hardly even fair, but the young Frost Demon did not put much mind to it, especially when they still had a second chance to win.
Unfortunately, while the rope was no longer slippery, this is where Cassava opted to shake up the game, and a flurry of fish suddenly go thrown towards the participants. Gritting his teeth, Absolut wrapped the end of the rope around his armored body again and began pulling backwards.
Bad news - Zam did not do as well as him and soon got knocked out of her position, and while it was heartwarming to see her happy and laughing while rolling on the floor, this also meant that their side could only rely on him.
Good news - Rine and Duke were not doing all that much better either, the former starting to slap the latter with a dead fish for rigging the game and cheating. And though it was one of the reasons why Zam collapsed laughing, it also gave Absolut an opportunity.
Now!
Tugging at full force, Absolut started stepping back, trying to take advantage of the other team's infighting to clench a win.

Tug of war was well underway. For the second tug Cassava had provided quite the deterrent for the participants. Yes, the slimy variety of fish soaring through the air and smacking the unsuspecting players was the highlight of her week. She wouldn't admit that she enjoyed the odd punishment of others though.
The Saiyan dressed in her best beachwear pinched her nose and downed the rest of her drink. Not due to the harshness of the alcohol, but due to the stench her games were managing to make. Several fish lay lifeless around the arena, they would be cleaned up shortly once the arena had shifted for the next event.
The crowd didn't know whether to laugh or to gag from the sudden shift in the stadium. Alas, that's what they paid for right? A show of unexpected reactions and events. Cassava was providing not only the crowd, but the viewers at home a chance to see their biggest rivals get slapped with sea life.
While Rine was still making a big fuss, the Majin and Frost Demon team were still trying to prevail and be victorious. Both teams struggled and fought against one another for the claim of best Tug of War champion. At least until next year, if the ratings would allow them to have a next year that is.
The blue-skinned woman was so frustrated that mid competition she took a moment to attack her own teammate! Cassava grimaced at the sight and tried to peel herself from her seat. This match was going to be close. Well, it was going to be close until the Majin was slapped and tickled with a barrage of pescatarian dinner dishes. She quickly succumbed to both the alcohol, and the giggles before falling upon the soft sand to writhe in agony. It was solely up to Colonel Frost to handle this round.
"WOW GUYS, Zam is on the ground incapacitated now! This leaves Frost to handle the competition. Luckily for him it seems Rine has taken to her own teammate with fierce swarm of attacks! Never thought I'd see something like this in a competition!"
The Frost Demon looked like he was going to be struggling despite Rine attacking her own comrade. Duke pulled hard and somehow managed to trip up the younger boy all while taking a lovely fish to each side of the head. The entire crowd observed in awe as Frost was pulled onto the ground, ironically right ontop of the laughing Majin.
High tech cameras zoomed in on the field and up close and personal with the teams. Their lens went in and out of focus as they tried to get the perfect shots of Rine abusing her teammate and Frost and his new love interest Zam laying ontop of one another. One could only imagine their awkward glances and flustered faces once they realized how they were positioned.
"Well, looks like we have our winner folks! For a second time Team Duke & Rine have won! That means they have captured the first event's win! Will they continue their streak, or will they flounder once a new game has been played?! After a short commercial break, we'll be back!"
The cameras zoomed away, and Cassava wiped her brow before ordering yet another drink. She ushered the participants over, although they may have smelled of fish.
"Get any last drinks right now! The next game is getting prepared." Cassava instructed as the arena in the middle of the stadium was obscured from view by tall ebony drapes. Underneath the crew was hard at work putting together quite the mine field.
Cassava snickered and turned towards her guests. The producers were already in her ear with positive news. Many eyes were on them tonight, this thing was turning out to be a huge success. Like fake professional wrestlers breaking rules while the referee wasn't looking but getting away with it. That was how Duke was looking. The young love interests---a drama between teammates! Everything was juicy.
It was still good for their numbers though. This comedy of a competition was considered above water, for now.
"You guys did great! Congrats to Rine and Duke! Oh boy, you guys are going to like the next one, an individual competition. So, you can shine on your own!" Cassava exclaimed with a mischievous grin. Her microphone was tucked away for now, so her words were earnest and whole hearted. She just hoped they weren't too embarrassed to the point it would hurt them.
Suddenly, the middle of the field was spotlighted, and the cameras came back on to hover around capturing shots of the crowd, the athletes, and the marvelous reveal. In a moment they had put together something immaculate. The curtains fell, revealing brilliant azure waters throughout the entirety of the field. The entire course stretched on for what seemed like a half a mile. There were obstacles throughout the course, and towards the end a long stretch of water to swim, perhaps 300 meters or so.
There were slides, stairs, moving contraptions. All of them aimed to cause the participants to fall, flounder, or get soaking wet! At least they would be able to cool off and wash off the smell of fish.
"Welcome back folks! As you can see we have unveiled the next game!" Cassava floated up above the stretch of the course, a camera following the woman as she went over each section of the course. At least, the parts that she wanted them to know about. There was always room for surprises along the stretch of a course!
"As you can see, this is quite the course! One might say it's even harder because it is soaked in flowing water. As you can imagine, that doesn't help with footing. Oh yeah, by the way, obviously no flying. Y'all ki users that can fly, if we catch your feet too far off the ground, you get a punishment!~" Cassava teased with a bubbly smile. Her normal abrasive side had melted away a few martinis ago.
"THE FIRST PART OF THE OBSTACLE COURSE IS THE WET TREE FROG JUMP! All right, moving platforms, short opportunity to close the several jumps, AND it's slippery so you need immaculate control for this one! You must jump to the platforms both higher and lower than your current---and you must do it all while a torrent of rain pours from overhead!"
Currently the soft sound of the water filling the pools below was rather relaxing. However, once they were all four in there together, it would be a madhouse. Each would have their room and separate platforms, but just watching them all struggle simultaneously was going to be amusing.
Cassava moved through to the second set of obstacles.
"Right o, we have bridge er bridges of doom! There is a bridge, or four if you wanna be particular. You might be able to cross. But there are no handles, no railing, nothing to hold onto. Make your way across it but watch out for the pendulums of DOOM!" Cassava chuckled and pointed to the narrow bridges, and the giant inflatable axe heads that swung to and from. They were weighted just enough to knock someone down into the water below! Down there, they will just finish a little more, slowly right? If you can manage to run your way through, you will reach the finish faster."
Cassava cleared her throat and moved onto the beautiful stretch of saltwater pool that hugged the end of the course. There it was simply a race in the skill of swimming. Hopefully no one needed water wings.
"Finally, a race through the water towards the finish line. Simple as that. So, whenever you guys are ready, you will start your runs through there. First one to the end, wins!"
"ALL RIGHT FOLKS, WE ARE READY TO ROLL! ON YOUR MARK! GET SET! GO!"
It was right into the games, now---to see if these participants could handle this affair. TAGS: Android B "Moxie" Andrew C. Creed Emperor Absolut Majin Zam WC: 1337 | 6881

Duke was feeling quite pleased with himself, he had not only managed to wing the first round, but was proficiently dodging fish as well. Everything seemed to be going to plan until something quite unexpected happened. Rine, his own team mate, accused him of cheating! The nerve! What was even worse was that his partner began slapping him around with a large flounder. "WHAT THE--" Wack! "I DIDN'T CHEAT!--" Wham! "YOU HAVE NO PROOF!" Zowie! Duke needed to ignore these attacks coming from the mad woman, while simultaneously tugging the rope. This would be no easy feat to pull off, but thanks to the strength-enhancing, invisible bodysuit, the champ somehow managed to pull a rabbit out of a hat! He actually managed to defeat the young couple. After he had won, he would drop the massive rope, twist his mustache for a moment before shouting "AAAAAHHHHHH YEEEAAAAAAHHH! I AM THE CHAM--" Biff! Duke would be wacked by Rine one last time. Soon after the Tug of War had concluded, Duke's team was declared the winners! The marching band and cheer squad from before would continue their rendition of Mr. Satan's theme song in celebration. Meanwhile, Duke would be covered in slime crawling toward the bar. He needed a stiff one after that. "Make it a double this time will ya!" The cephalopod barkeep would sweat in a comedic manner before pushing a strange green drink towards Duke. This one tasted weird, it felt as though it was making him less drunk, interesting... The first round would be coming up soon after the breather. Duke needed to psych out his opponents. Something dramatic to distract them would work! Something that would boost ratings would help too... But what to play on... Zam and Frost of course! Young love... Duke would walk over to Zam and ask "Hey Zam. There's something I would like to talk to you about. Follow me." The earthling would try to lead Zam off to speak with her in privet. If she agreed, step one of his evil plan would succeed. Next he would explain, "You and that Colonel Frost fellow sure fought hard in that last round! So I decided to give you two a present! Think of it as a reward for your hard work!" Duke would give an evil smile, "You and Frosty should open it together! And in public!"
The present appeared to be an ordinary box that was gift-wrapped in an expensive-looking wrapping paper, and it was. On the inside however, would be an expensive diamond ring with a small note attached to it by a string. The note would first say: "Read this to Frosty Zam" The inside of the note she was suppose to read to Absolute simply said the words "YES, I will Frosty!" on it. If Zam were to read these words, her and Colonel frost would soon notice that a boom mic and cameraman were near by, and the whole crowd would think that Colonel Frost had just proposed to Majin Zam! It was classic drama class! After these shenanigans, Cassava would announce the next event. It was some kind of obstacle course. And the ground was soaking wet! While this may have been a hindrance for his competitors, Duke had found a loophole in Cassava's no flying rule. First, for clinging to various surfaces he had the shoes of his invisible battle suit outfitted with spikes! Secondly, and most deviously, he had bribed a man on the inside who controlled all the mechanisms throughout the course! The only issue was that Duke lacked ki, and would be much slower than his opponents... As the word GO Was called, the champ would begin leaping from platform to platform, everything seemed normal for a few moments. Seconds into the course however, sharks would begin to leap out of the water! Not towards Duke however. In fact, anytime Duke came near a moving obstacle such as these creatures, they would mysteriously stop acting for a few seconds, before reactivating after he passed them. Wonder how that happened... Eventually, after a hard trek through the watery course, Duke had slowly, but surly made his way to the end of the watery platforms. He only hoped his sabotage had made him fast enough to keep up with ki users! Obstacle course Roll: 06utd|H51d100-5 (Reflex 0, -5 for drinking earlier)

After delivering, what Satan has assumed to be the final strike, Rine rose for another slap. Creed quickly hopped down and grabbed her arm in an attempt to stop her, not that he’d be able to over power her. Luckily the blood thirsty woman had managed to let out enough of her anger to refrain any further slaps. She would give a huff before throwing the fish at Satan, narrowly missing. Creed was struggling to keep himself from laughing at the whole ordeal which had transpired, keeping it down to a slight grin. As the two returned to the bar area, Creed would order another drink for himself, opting it’d probably be best not encourage Rine to drink anymore. “Well, that was...Something” Creed would say as he took a drink. “You think you’ll be good for the other rounds?” Rine gave a laugh. “I’m going to bury that mustached dork in the sand if he tries anything like that again. Shouldn’t have a problem otherwise…” She’d glance to her two previous opponents and give them a thumbs up and smile. “They’re strong, almost beat us even with the cheating. Wonder if they can fight” As their hostess spoke of the next games in the line up, Rine couldn’t help but feel a bit nostalgic at the large obstacle course. It reminded her of the ones they used back in the GP Academy, though much cleaner and not made of wood. The obstacles shouldn’t be too big of an issue, but the slippery floor might make things difficult. Creed would give his usually “Good luck!” as Rine head over to the starting area. As soon as the first game started, Rine hopped forwards to the first jump, stumbling slight before righting herself. Taking note of what exactly she did wrong during the jump, she’d hop to the next couple of jumps with incredible speed, even doing a flip on one of them to show off a bit. After reaching the final jump, she would spin in the air before landing, giving a thumbs up and a wink to the crowd. If Satan wasn’t going to be punished for cheating, then she’d just have to steal all his spot light. Despite the best efforts, the final yank failed. Luckily for Frosty, the ensuing fall had a soft landing. Pillowy even. Zam let out a surprised squeak. Steam puffed into an exclamation mark. The sting of loss got flattened. It took a moment for her to understand what just happened. Her head felt somewhat clearer. Gleefully disregarding how necks were supposed to work, she turned her gaze onto the boy. A bright smile shined on her features. "Silly~! Now is not the time to wrestle~! We can do that some other time!" Nope, she didn’t mind the fall at all. Nor did she really get why people were staring. What was the big deal? Once the friend got off her back, she too would bounce back onto her feet.
When Mister Satan approached, the trusting girl perked up immediately. "Okay!" She followed along, utterly oblivious to the sinister plot. The mention of a present made the golden eyes twinkle. Excitedly she nodded to each word. It sounded like a great idea. Snatching the box, she eyed it eagerly and even gave it a little shake. The rattle refused to reveal anything though. Suddenly she lunged, aiming to give the generous adult a biiig hug. "Thank you!" Happily she skipped off, dancing to the strings that had been pulled...
Zam strutted up to Frosty with the present in hand. She tore through the paper like a living shredder. It was... a box! Yaaay! ...Oh there was something inside the box too. While the camera rolled and the mic crept closer, she studied the note. Out loud. "Read this to Frosty Zam...!" She revealed the ring that glimmered brilliantly in the lights. The crowd gasped. With the brightest grin, she turned to her friend. Her voice didn’t need mics to carry embarrassingly far. "YES, I will Frosty!" Deafening cheers erupted from the audience. Now that was rocket fuel for ratings. She slipped the ring on and admired it against the sky. Shiny! Like a tiny star!
Well, the even was moving on, for better or worse. The little Majin hurried to her spot and got ready. Her body was slowly recovering from the drink too. Not that it would help much... Sadly, agility had never been her strong point. While the other contestants leapt with skill and grace, she slipped and flopped all over the place. Chaotic giggling followed each crazy bounce. Her last jump ended with her slamming against the platform and nearly falling. Only barely she managed to scramble back on it. At this pace she might end up dead last. The Symbol of Peace... One Day
It was quite rich to expect that Colonel Frost, no matter how much effort he put or the people on the other side fought among each other, would be able to defeat two grown adults all by himself and with a stream of dead fish heading towards his head. One powerful tug later, the Frost Demon suddenly lost balance thanks to his own rope-wrapping technique, falling straight into...
"Silly~! Now is not the time to wrestle~! We can do that some other time!"
Absolut's face was buried in Zam's chest. Immediately as he realized the position in which the two competitors laid, the young Frost Demon recoiled back, his heart rate and breathing tense from realizing what had just happened.
"I-I-I am so sorry!" "Colonel Frost" exclaimed off the top of his lungs, frantically waving his arms across the air as he continued stepping back. "I-I didn't mean to, I just slipped on something, lost my balance and..."
Zam might not have been too bothered by what had just happened between the two, and just laughed it out like everything else, as carefree as she was, but... but Absolut certainly was bothered! Thankfully, he made the smart decision to travel here while in disguise - God knows what might have happened if this was the Emperor of the Galaxy getting into hijinks with a Majin girl.
Oh, and speaking of hijinks, this wasn't even the end. Right before Absolut was about to step on his platform and get on with this obstacle course, which gave him a warm memory of Galactic Patrol training courses and the simpler life he lived back then, his attention got drawn to Zam walking up to him with a present box at hand. Oh dear, what is this supposed to be now? "Zam, this isn't the time..."
Nope, it was absolutely the time. Absolutely the time for the Majin girl to open the present, reveal a beautiful diamond ring inside, and finally speak out loud that she will! She will do what? Well, apparently, everyone interpreted it as giving her hand in marriage. As Zam made it even worse by putting on the beautiful ring and admiring it, "Colonel Frost" stumbled and muttered:
"A... Ah... That, uh... That didn't happen... I didn't..." How does this keep happening to them? Why do the two of them keep... ending up in these situations? "Can we... at least wait until the end of the games, Zam?.."
He was almost late for the next game, after all - wouldn't it have sucked if this meant both of them got eliminated or something? Absolut leapt on his platform, shaking his head to clear it of any and all thoughts about Zam, and, as soon as the bell rang, bolted forward towards the spinning platforms. The trick here was not only staying on the platform, but also speed, and Absolut opted to put all of his battle experience to use to maximize the latter by using the slippery floor of each platform to his advantage. The Frost Demon's foot slid across the platform floor, leaping off towards the next at the last form, and continuing to do so with each passing platform.
