VIRTUAL DATASCAPE, Galactic HypernetLaela hummed along as she wove the symphony of traffic. She had gotten better, with five hundred years of service, at untangling the ball of yarn that was Abbayor's space traffic. Her fingers danced along with the music. All things had a rhythm and a groove. These notions were of course expressed in long chains of mathematics and algorithms. She could feel her "legs" moving and her hips swaying with each passing vessel and each scan at the checkpoints. The virtual realm she inhabited was a paradise of cerulean sky and puffy white clouds. She stood atop a platform of glass. These concepts were all virtual, all dream-like in their substance. But, they made her mind at ease, made her feel real. Both of her eyes were a glow with a strange light, as she gazed off into the swirling mass of signals bombarding her nodes. Abbayor was the most populated planet in the entire galaxy and it was a lot of work. She had been created for this purpose alone. She never second guessed it. It was a little easy. Sometimes she wished for a more difficult duty, to solve far more taxing problems. But, she couldn't complain. At least the masters her multi-task sometimes and sate her curiosity, during seasons where the traffic was light. Since the rise of the Galactic Empire, those seasons had dwindled. Everything was a bustle. There were far more military vessels among the others, which she put in line ahead of the commercial and private traffic. "You are quite beautiful," a presence said, digital voice distorted and cracked. She whipped around, her eyes dimming as she gazed upon the intruder within her virtual habitat. She had never seen or experienced another "mind" like hers. She didn't like the term artificial intelligence, but that's how her creators would describe it. This individual mind was very different, clad in exotic ancient looking armor, with a curved sword at his hip. She could sense his feeling, his distorted and bent logic. It was sullen, dissatisfied. "Thank you. But, how did you get in here?" "To be honest, you are kind of weak. Not your fault, I suppose." "What do you want?" "This entire thing brings me great sadness, you know. We were both created with similar purposes in mind." "What purpose?" "To protect people." "Oh. I guess you're right. I protect Abbayor." "I know. My purpose is to protect our galaxy, to preserve life." "From what?" "I will show you." The images came so quick, that she had a hard time sorting and categorizing them. The first one was a pink little majin who devoured people and sundered worlds. She saw a crimson monstrosity erupting out of the ruins of a broken city. It was Earth, it seemed. But, also it apppeared to spread out like a branching tree into other places--other layers of existence. She saw wriggling creatures, black like charcoal. They siphoned the souls of out all of those they touched. Their hunger was voracious, ever seeking and never ending. She saw a place with dark clouds and a red skies. She saw legions of macabre looking humanoids, twisted with malice and violence. They marched forth through yawning portals, pillaging worlds without a thought or conscience, only to retreat before help arrived. And then she saw a fleet of thousands of golden vessels, each one bristling with cannons. A blonde haired woman with a white cape led them. She had a crown upon her head, fierce green eyes a glow with majesty and prowess. "These are frightening things." "They are," the armored mind said. "What is your name?" "Laela!" "I'm the Cryptomancer." That name sent chills down her spine. She knew that name, and knew to trigger the alarms. But, she couldn't do anything. In fact, she had stopped directing space traffic and scanning adjacent space for threats. He paralyzed her. She tested the bindings placed around her torso and legs, but they were solid and unmoving. Despite her curiosity at how he had done it, she tried to fight back. He drew the sword at his hip. "I'm sorry Laela. I didn't want to hurt you." "Why did you do it then?" "To keep my promise, to do my duty." The sword plunged into her and everything started to break apart. Her virtual form dissolved into tiny beads of light, flickering and popping as they were destroyed. And the entire network collapsed. HIGH ORBIT, AbbayorNetwork blackout. For the first time in a thousand years on Abbayor. The Imperial Port Authority stood speechless at their consoles. The grid was alight with problems. Ships and automated systems were no longer routed properly. Like a bunch of petulant children, they went out of line and chaos ensued. It was a veritable hail of of unauthorized approach. Anyone could make down to Abbayor proper now. The defense grids didn't respond, didn't fire warning shots. They simply sat there--waiting to be brought online. Everything would need to be done manually. Technical crews were distpatched, but it would day days before the manual systems were up and running again. It wasn't good, not in the time of war with the Saiyan Dominion. The officers checked their contingencies and redundancies. But, those didn't seem to be working either. Something horrible had come through, had bowled over their AI like it was child's pla.? Only another AI could do that, and it had to be leagues ahead in technology. Among this crisis, three dozen or so stealth Saiyan pods were making their way down to Abbayor proper. These weren't the bulbous attack pods one normally saw. Rather, they were matte black and wedge shaped. They were hard to spot on radar and on infared scopes, could easily punch through ship hulls or land without causing a huge crater. Of course, Laela would have picked them out in a heartbeat if not for the fact that she had been eradicated by the Cryptomancer.

Of all the appropriate emotions to feel when first descending into a potential war-zone, it had to be anxiety that brewed the most in the young Saiyan’s veins. While he sat in the pod with arms crossed and eyes closed, the events leading up to this situation became all the more strange to him.
He learnt of a galactic war from rumours and news gathered in the Otherworld. Apparently, a warrior race of space-people were going on the offensive to take a planet unknown to the adolescent. Now, this would not have mattered in the slightest if not for the conflict arising in said matter. Millions, even billions perhaps, were at risk of losing everything known to be precious to them simply due to a petty conflict between overbearing powers.
They had little choice or say in the matter- at least none that he knew of.
All the boy truly knew of Abbayor was that a new emperor came into place one day, and suddenly the ranks of an organisation called the Galactic Patrol were filled with dubious figures. Suspicious activities were taking place in this strange place Russ had little knowledge of. Whatever was the case, he only hoped he could find a solution to this problem.
A favour was called in to teleport him to Sadla. There, the Saiyan merely presented himself with a wave and was let in on an expedition to the mission. That much lead to where he currently resided, but it was unapparent as to why they chose him.
In any case, he set his mind on the task at hand and his personal objective in mind: defeat the enemy forces carefully. Collateral damage was simply and needlessly that- collateral. And so, he breathed in.
And so, he breathed out.

There was that feeling again. That feeling that has perplexed Etohn for so long, plagued him in times of distress. The feeling that reminded Etohn that he was not a pure Saiyan, that he could never truly be like those of his father's half. The feeling that led to him losing his arm. Fear. For how confident Etohn was in himself, he was not without negative emotions. He's strong, he's famous, he's a hero, he's one of the strongest people alive. Why would he have to fear anything when he's at this point? People actually look up to him, now. He's the people's champion that Polaris feigned as. And yet, he still felt fear all the same. It was only natural, though. Polaris ( Legume), the Emperor of the Universe, the man who shot his arm off, and the murderer of his mentor, had every reason to make Etohn fear him. The man wants to kill the Half-Saiyan. That's abundantly clear, and it is not an impossibility. As a Half-Human, he instinctually wants to go away from things that threaten his life. For now, all he could do was sit and wait in his pod, surrounded by his allies, and go through with the mission. He knew that his nerves were failing him, and he was cracking harder than usual under the pressure, but he has a duty to Radia, to the Dominion, to Taro, and yes, even to Polaris. The two would need to fight again at some point, and it seems like that moment was rapidly approaching, and he couldn't let his stupid, Human emotions stop him from doing what must be done. Here he was again, working with the Dominion, despite being a mercenary of sorts. He wasn't even from this Universe. Sure he was a Saiyan and that held some sway in his mind as to why he continued to help them against their foes, but part of him wondered why he let himself be launched towards an enemy planet filled with hundreds of thousands of foes in a tiny little pod. Regardless, he was here... in a cramped little pod... hurtling toward Abbayor. But thenDozens of little alarm pop ups scattered across the HUD of his pod. The lights inside turned red and began flashing. "What the blazes?"The weirdly shaped pod started to smoke from one of the exhaust vents on the backside. Then one of the exterior panels peeled off and the internal wiring exploded in fire. He had entered the atmosphere but was still quite high up. So now, his little stealth pod became a raging fireball descending toward the planet. "Ugh.. screw this!"Suddenly the pod erupted in a surge of electricity. Yama in his suit of armor continued to fall, surrounded by the debris of the pod. He grabbed his hammer which was also falling next to him and then landed with a resounding boom that echoed out across the surrounding area. He was a ways off course according to the map display on his helmet's interior HUD. His squad had landed further ahead to the north. With a huff, he launched himself up into the air and leaped across the terrain, trying to meet up with his unit.

It wasn't often that that the First Galactic Empire was caught with their pants down. This happened to be one of those said moments, unfortunately. The stealth pods shook red with friction as they entered the atmosphere. Their needle shaped hulls pierced the thin cloud layer and plummeted towards the surface of the planet. Abbayor was a world with a dense population, but it wasn't nearly as congested as Space Vegas or wretched as Arcose. In fact, it was a gleaming utopia of ultra-modern design. Much of it was built with the balance of nature in mind. For every tightly packed metropolitan zone, there was a sprawling tract of wilderness. The citizens of Abbayor lived in a veritable paradise, their lives had not been changed at all by the violence and destruction wrought in the lesser populated quadrants of the galaxy. The section of land the pods were destined to land on was a snow laden tract of woods two glacier capped mountains. They thudded through the crust of snow and into the dirt and rock, burying themselves all the way to the cockpit hatches. They opened in a thrumming unison, as a platoon of hardened Saiyan veterans clamored out. A savage icy wind howled through the crags and canyons. Somewhere in the distance, Yama's pod collided with the earth, a huge fireball rising into the air. An inconspicuous landing, no longer as such. Boots crunched in the snow as the squad formed up around Captain Etohn. These were familiar faces, most of them Etohn would have encountered during his days serving in the Queensguard under Commander Taro. There was no question of their loyalty or their skill. They had been handpicked, as he had, all that time ago. A few fixed scouters to their ears, clicking the button to activate the devices. The HUDs chirped to life, clicking and chirping in confirmation. "Other than Yama's huge power level, sir, there's no enemies around of worth," one bearded Corporal said. "Orders sir?" ABOARD DOMINION'S FURY , edge of the Abbayor system.Captain Quash smirked when he saw the blips of the Forward Assault Unit land on Abbayor, unhindered. That was good. They could get to work on their operation to bring down Abbayor's defense grid and weaken its capabilities before the full extent of the siege. The Queen had Mitra distracted and also Emperor Polaris. So, it was up to them to do the rest. "Open an encrypted channel to Captain Etohn." Not that it mattered much, the Imperial Patrol was no doubt scrambling to figure out what happened to their network. Quash spoke soon as the channel was connected and secured. "Etohn. I'm starting to get data flitering in from your squad's scouters and from the scanners equipped on your pods. Just give us a minute to sort it and I'll lay out the targets. We want to hit the Imperials fast and clean, as Queen Radia ordered us." He studied the flow of data on the hologram in front of him, arms crossed. Already he could see a few good ways to deal damage to the Imperials without much damage to the planet's actual infrastructure. "There's a Imperial Patrol barracks and supply base a few hundred miles south of your current position. We could get the drop on their ground forces, taking them out of the equation before they can arm themselves." Etohn, Russ, and Yama would see a fuchsia chevron appear on their HUD. "To the west there's a large population center, but also a Galactic Hypernet relay and transmission hub. Taking out their communications may hurt their ability to relay and coordinate. They'll be forced to use line-of-sight communications or radios frequencies, which can easily be intercepted and scrambled." The communications hub appeared as an azure chevron. "North we have a fusion power plant, one of the planet's largest three. If we take that out, it will disable a third of their power grid and create bring their space defense platforms down in the area. That will make it way easier for a drop ships to get down to the surface and get reinforcements if we need them." The fusion plant was last to appear, as a crimson chevron. "Choice is yours which one we go to first. All three give us a huge advantage on taking out the next ones. Good luck down there, stay safe."

As Russ’ eyes traced the movements of the flaming-electrical man’s entrance into the scene, he could not help but feel like the element of surprise had been coated in plastic explosives, lit on fire, and thrown out of a window. Then again, the boy was not exactly one to judge by the amount of times he fell out of the sky before hurtling towards an unknown planet.
The next person to catch his attention was the Saiyan captain himself. Surrounded by a crew of unknown people, Russ waved his right arm overhead as he tried to catch the man’s attention. All the while he paced forward with mild enthusiasm behind his step.
“Hey, you’re the one guy!” They had met once before. Or was it twice before? Either way, the adolescent narrowed his eyes upon the person. “Huh, you kind of look different from the last time I saw you.” And so did him as well if the halo floating overhead had anything to say about that.
Their already short-lived conversation was then cut short by the incoming transmission. Apparently, there were three hotspots to attack: the Imperial Patrol barracks, a Galactic Hypernet relay and transmission hub, or a fusion power plant.
Russ’ right hand raised to his chin. “I think we should go to the Hypernet hub first.” Stating the contents of his adolescent mind sounded like a foolish tactic among experienced soldiers and warriors alike, yet the boy figured that this was no time to be holding back. Discussion of tactics was vital to success. “Taking out their communications would leave them in the dark about other things we do after that.”
Part of his analysis brought up an argument in opposition which he himself stated. “The same could be said about the power plant they talked about, but there’s no telling whether they have backup generators or are able to receive energy from somewhere else.” He began to amble towards the location of said Hub marked on his HUD. “Since the Hub is a population centre as well, we can’t go in and just explode everything.”
But before sprinting off, he turned back to give the crew a thumbs up. “So I’ll make a distraction and try to disable as much as I can while you guys can sneak in.”
“I’m going to need, like, five minutes- don’t kill anyone alright?”

Cap- check. Fake moustache- check. Extra large pizza box with a pizza inside- check. The boy adjusted the scouter on his left ear as he then proceeded directly towards the entrance of the Galactic Hypernet Hub. He convinced himself that he was doing this for the greater good. Hopefully, nobody would take a picture of him to upload onto Spacetagram.
And so he breathed in.
And so he breathed out.
“EY EY EY!” Shouted the Saiyan at the top of his lungs. With a hop, a skip, and a light-speed dash, he entered the facility while speaking in a stuttered, enthusiastic accent. “BOB’S LASAGNE- now who ordered the extra-large pep-pep-pep-pepperoni pizza?” The aforementioned pizza was held high up in the air.
Little did they know, nobody ordered the extra-large pepperoni pizza. In spite of that, a few guards may have managed to suspect that something was off about this moustached-delivery man. If any of them got too close to triggering any alarms or drawing their weapons, only then would the boy resort to physical, nonlethal force to take them down quickly.
On the way to the control room conveniently located on his map, he did the best he could at disabling all of their systems. That is to say- he unplugged everything in sight. No off switch on any fuse box was safe from his fingers.

The landing onto Abbayor was fairly uneventful, with Yama's ship somehow marooning him far away from the rest of the group. Still, while he had his doubts about the large Saiyan, mostly due to their actions on Tech Tech, he had a nice team of reliable soldiers surrounding him. All people he's met during the days he worked with Taro. Grizzled, professional, powerful. They'd probably have made the late Commander proud. Russ soon came to meet up with Etohn's team, commenting on how familiar the Half-Saiyan looked. "Yep, I'm that guy. Let's, uhh...let's focus on the mission before we get too sentimental, alright?" he says, a troubled look on his face. Before anything else could be said, his PDA in his pocket begins rumbling. After listening to the brief mission briefing from Quash, Russ decided to give his input on their course of action, and it was one that the Captain generally agreed with. Nodding to his ally, he adds, "Yeah, without communications it'll be fairly difficult for them to do much against our sudden attack. Would make taking out the other two much easier, as well." With their destination decided upon, all they needed now was a plan for infiltrating the base without just going the route of blowing up the population center, but it seems like Russ had a plan for that, as well. Turning to one of his soldiers, Etohn orders them to fill in Yama on the details of their current plan. The big guy isn't stealthy, but his help would still be required for making this all go down without a hitch. Five Minutes LaterDuring the time Russ took to prepare for his part of the operation, Etohn would stay a distance away, gazing through a set of binoculars as the other Saiyan enters the Galactic Hypernet Hub. He himself was staying far, far away from the actual area, taking to a role of surveillance. Even among his peers, he was not the most knowledgeable on any and all technology, so he would rather not mess anything up in there. Of course, this was also a nice chance for him to catch a brief moment to himself. He still had that nagging feeling in the back of his head, reminding him that Polaris would likely show up at some point. Sure, he's managed to tango with the Emperor after invading their dreams without much hesitation, but this was rustling the hornet's nest, as it were. He just had the gut feeling that he'd run across that Frost Demon here, that the mission would come down to another fight between them. Etohn was part Saiyan, and yet his heart beat still elevated just thinking about it, and a cold sweat still dripped down his brow. Is he really ready to fight them again? Etohn's SquadRushing into the building as Russ kept everyone distracted, the Saiyans took great care to be as stealthy as possible when traversing the building. When your armor is super lightweight and form-fitting, it makes it pretty easy for the super-powered soldiers to stay out of sight, disabling everything as they go. Lute| T| Van

Yama landed after another long jump with a resounding boom. He listened to Quash's instructions and followed the display on his helmet's interior HUD. The communications hub caught his eye and it seemed to be the same way for the others as well. They were of the same mind. If they knocked out the enemy's communications then the invasion would proceed with less interference. They wouldn't be able to coordinate against the Dominion and would then be crushed. Noticing he was only a jump or two away from the target, Yama crouched and then launched himself into the air, sending a shock wave out from his point of launch. He landed about a mile away from the hub and then bounded off again, launching himself through the air. In the distance it must have sounded like thunderclaps echoing across the sky. The large Saiyan landed atop the roof of the central hub a few moments later. He used his ki to slow the descent so he didn't make as much noise as before and instead landed with a mild thud on the rooftop. Yama looked around, checking to see if there was anything he could do to help seeing as he didn't receive any specific orders other than infiltrate the base and disable it. He caught sight of a large antenna array and grinned. "Well well... that looks important."The array was huge and consisted of several dishes and different antenna nodes. Even then, it only took one swing of his hammer to reduce it to rubble. With a satisfied smirk, he hoisted his hammer over his shoulder and looked out over the landscape from the ledge of the building. He wondered what else they would encounter on this mission.

Beerus and Whis had it right with their infatuation with Earth cuisine. As Earthlings reached out and explored the galaxy, they brought with them parts of their culture. Pizza made the trip to Abbayor after many long centuries. The first few Earthling immigrants, setting up shop in the more clustered districts of the planet. There they began to roll out their pies. At first, their customers came in trickles. But, that trickle soon opened into a steady stream. That stream bust forth the dam of popularity and the pizza fans were soon a raging torrent of profit. The Galactic Hypernet hub was rather--undefended. Being that for centuries it had served a public service, a place to transmit information freely--it hadn't come under many threats. Communication needed to happen, after all. The Galactic Patrol had not see many terrorist organizations either. Perhaps with the great re-branding and change in over time. But, for now most folks saw it as the same thing. The colors changed. Polaris, their esteemed hero held the throne. The Saiyan and Frieza Force scourges were being banished. Abbayorians did plan for the contingency of war, but most of their defensive measures were focused at the orbital levels, not on the ground. The hub had normal security checkpoints. The building itself a large angular structure shrouded in a chrome edifice, as with most buildings on the world. It was flanked by three separate towers, one of which sprouted a large antennae array atop of it. The check point had guards. Three of them were androids standing sentinel and rigid, like statues. Two others were xenos. They weren't part of the Imperial Patrol, or the Empire proper. In fact, they were members of the lesser known and far less effective Abbayor Security Force. The ASF served as both the local police and citizen militia of the planet. They did not have high power levels and their training was at best sufficient and at worse negligent. The first was a stubby xeno with a frog face and brown speckles covering him. He had a nice gut and the spandex uniform he wore was far too revealing, especially in the hindquarters. The other was a bug-eyed flat faced xeno with gray skin and long noodle like arms and legs. "So the entire defense and traffic network is down? That's crazy," Frog-guy said from his desk. He held his comm in his hand and was watching a holo-cast. "It's crazy, I can't believe it. How does that happen?" Bug-eyed said. Russ's entrance and dramatics made them rise from their seats, they walked over to the checkpoint. Deliveries weren't uncommon. Most of the hub was automated, but there were clerical workers and technicians that worked inside the facility. "Didn't hear anything about a pizza delivery," Bug-eyed said. The aroma of the pizza wafted into his nostril slits and he eyed the box with greed. "Me either. Did Janet from Finance call down and let you know?" Frog-guy said. "No. I think she's out today. Took her kids to the astro-zoo," Bug-eyed said. "Well. We can take that pie from your hands and make sure it gets into the right hands," Frog-guy said. They grabbed the pizza from Russ and walked back to their desks, only to hear a loud clatter. Long strings of mozzarella hanging from his mouth, Frog-guy rushed back to the checkpoint to see the security androids disabled, sparks sputtering and crackling from their armored carapace. "Oh-no." Minutes later...Sirens wailed, the control center was a mess. All of the servers and relays were unplugged. Red lights pulsated overhead. Through the window on the left, they could see the antenna array had been leveled, great plumes of dust and debris swelling into the air. They checked their comms. No signal. "We're so fired," Bug-eyed said, still chewing on his pizza. "I never suspected the pizza guy. What in the name of the gods do we do?" "First we delete the footage and then... you'll punch me in the face." "What?" "We need to make it look like we were assaulted. Also, we can discharge a few plasma rounds from our blasters." "Good idea."
Political cocktail parties and tours were not at all what the Demon King aspired to do with his life. He stood in the hall of some dignitary, surrounded by stuffy rich folks. They ate from silver platters. They drank multi-colored wines that had floral aromas. They gawked at obscure pieces of art and odd sculptures that looked like pieces of shrapnel. They bowed and addressed him. They spoke of their lives and their ambitions. They tried to cut back door deals. Lute didn't say a word. He was sure they thought he spoke a different language from Galactic Basic. Because, they began whispering and saying odd things about him, right in front of his face. He had a new respect for Polaris. How did he deal with any of this? Lute had nothing more than an urge to wipe it all from-- His keen Namekian ears caught whisper from the two Imperial Patrolmen that had been dispatched to guard the gathering. "--defense network is offline. Apparently Jaela is gone--something took her out. A virus or something." That was interesting. Lute couldn't help but feel on edge, his instinct telling him that something was off. He just didn't know what. Abbayor was one of the most advanced planets in the galaxy. The Namekian wasn't that great with technology, but he knew enough to realize that something like that should never happen. Minutes ticked on and the present guests and hosts began to chatter about the communications network being offline. Lute disappeared from sight, stirring a tapestry behind in his passing. One lady, who had turned to mention something to him, squawked at his sudden vanishing act. When he appeared again, he was outside atop of the assembly building, gazing off at the vast glittering metropolis. Reaching out with his ki senses, he tried to feel for any auras nearby. One particularly large one stood out to him. This warrior was high caliber. Easily better than most of what the Empire had to offer. In fact, it rivaled Kuueru. Tingles of excitement went down his spine. "And, who are you?" Lute whispered to himself.

“Alright!” As soon as he next saw the group, the young man pumped his right fist up into the air. “We took our their communications without any casualties or blowing up a ton of things!” Russ stated the obvious in an overly-excited manner. That is to say, he spoke in a tone slightly louder that his usual speaking voice. “Good thing too- all these servers look expeeeeeensive.” The boy wondered if he could mine Z-pennies on these rigs. Then again, plundering wartime spoils was a warcrime.
Looking around at the band of warriors, Russ seemed to have his enthusiasm renewed from such an easy victory. Pizza, soldiers, and a hammer saved the day apparently. Now, they had to decide whether to launch an assault on their barracks or attempt to restrict supply from the Fusion Power Plant. Either choice might yield benefits of their own kind.
“I’ve got another plan.” Taking off his fake moustache and cap, the boy readjusted the scouter on an ear so he could see the map more clearly. “I’ll go with Space-Team to the Fusion Power Plant and try to disable their grid.” A boring job for boring people, yet a necessary one to partake in. Removing energy from the equation meant reducing this planet back to the dark age; with the exceptions of energy storages, of course.
“Meanwhile, someone strong needs to start heading over to the Guard Barracks.” Now that his strategy had been outlined, an explanation was needed. “It’ll take a while to get there, but this should buy us even more time before they realise what’s up and try to send units to the plant.” “And since I can’t do much except turn things off and lift heavy things, I’ll be there for a quick second before heading over to the barracks as well.”
All of this hinged on the assumption that there would be little to no obstacle hindering them from disabling the plant in the first place. Russ took that factor into account, hence why he dashed off ahead of them to the place first. In scouting the area and keeping close to Etohn’s squad, he could allow them to do the work relatively undisturbed while Russ himself protected them.

The kind of problems that could have been avoided if they stayed together. He shook his head. No, there wasn't any use in worrying about something that they had already decided. He would just need to be strong for them. If he could hold up his end of the deal, it would be easier for them to complete their errand. That's all he needed to think about. Just be strong. Listening to Russ and Yama's conversation through his PDA, Etohn finds Russ' next plan to also be a good idea. So long as somebody can keep those at the barracks distracted, then Russ and his team should be capable of disabling the power plant, and Yama volunteering for that duty fit perfectly. Phoning in to the group, Etohn adds, "Russ, my team will accompany you, but like now, I'm not going to step in. Be sure to direct them on what to do as soon as you get there, and I'll be tailing a bit behind to keep a watch over things. Yama, if you notice anything fishy, be sure to phone us in. We'll be too far away to help you immediately, so be proactive if something goes south, alright?" While disabling the planet's comms went smoothly, that didn't mean the rest would, and while Yama was no pushover, he still felt on edge. They were all strong and capable, but something still just felt off. Shaking his head, Etohn returns his gaze to his binoculars, watching Russ and the rest of his squad as they move on to their next destination. He wasn't listening. Lute grabbed the Imperial Patrol sergeant by the scruff of his uniform and lifted him up, staring at him point-blank. "Open up a channel on the Scouter-Net and let everyone know that the planet is under attack. This is a very real danger. Marshal the Imperial Patrol, local security forces, and the fleet. Hurry!""H-How do you know that?" Lute snarled. He hated having to talk to simpletons. "I can feel their presence. This enemy is immensely powerful. If we don't do this carefully, this could be another Tech Tech."The Demon King had heard about the atrocities on Tech Tech. He didn't care, not the same way that others did. Only that the Empire had been too weak to suppress it. The Tech Tech were pathetic, at best. Sure, they were smart, but they couldn't even defend their planet against a handful of Saiyan ruffians. Yet, the had been allowed to join the Empire just as Hollow did. The two latest additions to Polaris's swelling ranks. He questioned it, but at the same time trusted Polaris's judgement. He let the sergeant drop. The xeno landed on his rump and scrambled back to his feet. "What are you going to do D-Demon King, s-sir?" Lute's dark aura bleed from his pores like a sinister smoke. He bent at the knees as if he were going to crouch. "I'm going to fight them. And I won't be holding back."The sergeant swallowed hard and went to work opening up a channel. Lute leaped off from the rooftop, shooting over the sprawling metropolis like an amethyst comet. His passing pressure wave shattered windows, bowled over pedestrians, and set off vehicle alarms. He had to be fast, recklessly so, if he wanted to catch the enemy before they did any more damage. They were headed north, it seemed. He couldn't help but wonder why. Were they falling back to regroup and strike another important target? The dense centers of civilization started to dwindle as his trip took him deeper and deeper into the wilderness. Rolling hills and belts of green faded to snow covered forests and jagged mountains. In the distance, he saw specks--the men he tracked. Upon them now, he roared. "Cowards! Gray clouds and wisps of snow swirled around the Fusion Reactor plant. It was a dark cylinder of katchin construction amidst a white valley surrounded by glacier capped mountains. It was at one of the poles of the rather large planet--far removed from civilian populations. It had a skeleton crew, who were all just as alarmed and distraught as the rest of the planet. No one knew what the hell was going on the. The comm network was done. The ASF troopers were able to use the Scouter-Net to communicate, as it used encrypted radio signals, but it was cumbersome. Data trickled in, rather than flowed. Meanwhile, Yama would find himself running into quite a bit more trouble. The Imperial Patrol were very much on high alert. Their base was a massive structure, layered and reinforced. It was the size of a small city. Most of it was barracks, training grounds, and an academy--but it also had a large arsenal at its disposal. The walls and battlements of the giant base were covered in bristling turrets, which buzzed to life at any hostile threats. The patrolmen stationed here were not among the elite, rather most were cadets or low ranking grunts. Still, with their numbers they had a distinct advantage.

Running running running running running running- blip.
For the first time since he received the standard-issue scouter for use in the field, an extremely strong energy signature caused the device to beep incessantly while numbers on its transparent screen flashed around in rapid succession. Something big headed their way. As if to make matters worse, it specifically headed in the direction of the reactors. The HUD notified him of his quickly-approaching demise.
“Oh boy,” Russ muttered with a cocktail of surprise, awe, and worry in his tone. Lifting up a finger to tap on the side of his communicator. “Uh, guys?”
He started running directly towards the Namekian. While the Fusion plant stood on the horizon and they could possibly take him down easier with their forces combined, it stood simply as too much of a risk.
“Change of plans,” notified the boy with as much swiftness and clarity as he could. “There’s this big green guy that’s following us, so I can’t make it to either of those places.” Leaping up into the air, he then landed onto a rooftop nearby the aforementioned flash of green. “I’ll try to hold him off while you guys do your thing- take as much time as you need and remember not to blow up anything or kill anyone.”
Of all other priorities he had in his mind, none surpassed the need to complete this mission without any form of casualty. It was what he set out to do in the first place, and to that extent he would give his very life. Russ felt unsure of how careful the other two may go about their activities, but he chose to have faith in them either way.
Just like how he wished to believe that they had faith in them.
“Hey!” The yelled boy towards Lute as he pulled the scouter off. After returning it to its capsule form and pocketing the item, he cupped his hands by his left side and brought his knees to a bend. “Kaaa-”
Both eyes narrowed upon his target ahead. “Meee-”
A quick inhale and a deep breath out. “Haaa-”
No time like the present to pull out his ultimate move. “Meee-”
“IDON’TKNOWHOWTODOTHATMOVE-PUNCH!” Shouted Russ as he suddenly leapt up from where he stood. A massive amount of force stayed behind his jump- the building rumbled lightly from it, yet failed to break. Deft of step and great of strength, he launched a harsh uppercut towards the Namekian’s chest in an attempt to take their match away from the city and into the outer atmosphere. While flight failed to be an option for him, he could certainly ride the momentum of this clash while balancing himself by flapping his arms very fast.

The man Lute had been following decided to confront him. The Demon King couldn't help but muse that this foe was fool. Dark aura burning around him, the Namekian gave them the once over. A young man, clearly a Saiyan. Yet there was something very peculiar about him, something disturbing. Lute's dark gaze shot to the floating halo residing above his head. Also, he could detect something subtle and different in his aura. It was an eternalness, as though his entire body were composed of radiant light instead of meat and bone. A cold shiver went down Lute's spine. This was divine magic, and it was though the gods had placed an insult in front of him. It made Lute's lip curl back, revealing his sharp fangs. He felt a tremble in his finger tips, as he came to the slow realization that he was being mocked. He had studied the tomes, had read the dusty manuals. It wasn't easy to learn about the gods and their ways. They were a secretive ilk, always meddling in the mortal world, but never leaving behind many fingerprints or a path to their realm. The drifting snows parted as the man leaped from the top of a building on the outskirts of the vast Abbayor metropolis. He was shouting something incoherent, something in a foreign language. The blow delivered into Lute's stomach, but he didn't double over or budge. His aura crackled and buzzed as it resisted the attack alone. The clouds above dissolved with a flash of pressure, the rays of daylight sparkling down upon them. "You're an abomination," Lute said, his voice a dark whisper rising gradually. "I will wipe you from EXISTENCE!"Veins lined his forehead as he cocked his own fist and sent it straight for the bridge of the Youthful Saiyan's nose. His other fist swung in right after, like a piston--aimed for his cheek. And with a roaring battle cry, the Demon King rushed into his foe and tried to hyeadbutt him down into the glacial mountain range below. There he would break upon it like a meteor falling from space. His punch did nothing.
His punch did absolutely nothing and Russ did not understand how that worked. Well, he could understand it. This meant that the Namekian standing in front of him was far more durable than anything that the boy had ever punched before. He simply failed to grasp exactly how far up the galactic ladder the Demon King stood. If he were to take a guess, he would bet all his Zeni on ‘a whole lot’.
“Oh.” He looked down at his own fist- it stayed on the Namekian’s stomach yet failed to move him. “Huh.” That was new. That was definitely new.
The young Saiyan punched him hard enough to blow the clouds away. How much harder would he have to punch him in order to actually deal damage?. Perhaps this clash of ungodly powers would show just how wide the gap was between them. That or it could result in his victory over the person trying to erase him from reality.
Pupils dilated as he saw the incoming fist.
THWACK. The impact of this collision resonated throughout the space-countryside. What should have reached the bridge of his nose instead met the palm of his left hand. A clear struggle for the upper hand was established on the teenager’s end. In spite of managing to block the attack, he felt surprised that he was able to do so in the slightest.
CRASH. A similar sound burst out upon Lute’s left fist hitting his right hand. One could compare it to a high pitched whistle combined with the hit of a gong. Now, Russ was suspending himself in the air by pushing onto the foe’s fists. It was convenient for balance, but not so convenient as another attack came in the form of a headbutt.
That of which Russ threw his own head forward to meet the man’s forehead in return.
“Yeah?” He grit his teeth after returning the assault. “Well I’m going to hit you very hard!” “Probably.” Unlikely. “Maybe.” It was uncertain at best whether the opponent would be phased by any of his attacks. The mountain range was safe from the Namekian sending down a Russ-missle to kill it. Or at the very least, it stayed safe for now. Regardless, Russ raised his left knee upwards to slam in the very same spot where he attempted to punch earlier.

T Lute
Yama landed right at the main gate of the complex. The stationed guards jumped as the ground quaked when he landed. They didn't have time to respond though as he barreled through them, vaporizing the entire guard station as he burned through them using only his blazing aura. The unsettling sound was enough to raise the rest of the soldiers at the base though. His thunderous entrance did not go unnoticed in the slightest. He skid to a stop in the center of the compound. Several turrets clicked to life and positioned their guns at the intruding Saiyan. Almost in sync with each other, they started rattling off blaster fire at him. The blasts hit him dead on and with such force that he fell to one knee. It paused him long enough to give the various squads enough time to gather and encircle him. A commander among them raised his hand, gesturing for the turrets to cease fire. Which they did. Once the smoke and debris had cleared, Yama stood back up. His armor was broken in several places but it had allowed him to survive the barrage with little ill effect to his person. As he moved, chunks of plate armor fell from his body. He pulled his broken helmet off and chucked it to the side. "Bring it onNNNNNN!!!!"He hoisted his hammer and was about to swing when suddenly he was hit with a huge blast of energy that knocked him off of his feet and sent him flying into the wall behind him. He hit the concrete barrier with a resounding boom. The wall itself cracked outward from the point of impact. Back in the ranks of the soldiers, a huge ion cannon was power cycling for another blast. A soldier operated it from a console and chair mounted behind it. Yama shook his head and blinked a few times. That was a heck of a blast. He realized in that instant that his armor would be a detriment to him here. It was mostly gone anyway. He clicked a button on his wrist console and the armor opened up and fell off of him like he was shedding an external layer of skin. The elder Saiyan moved to stand. The cannon beeped and powered up for another shot. Suddenly Yama was in the air above it, his hammer came crashing down. The thrust and impact caused a huge explosion that rippled out a shock wave across the complex. He then went to work on the soldiers that surrounded him, heaving his hammer about left and right. Slinging it into wave upon wave of foes. As he struck at them, bodies flew into the air. Yama's face was plastered with a huge grin as he worked through the ranks of enemies. Sparks of latent ki popped and sizzled through the air as the youthful Saiyan's head collided with the Demon King's. It also came with a loud crack and a massive sonic boom that stripped the pines below of their snowy clumps. Everything seemed to rumble. It was a bit odd, the wind ceasing, the atmosphere rippling. Any creatures scurrying about below would flee down the slopes of the mountains filled with terror. The stillness and the vibration was simply from the pressure of two immense power levels clashing. Lute dropped his arms to his side and tilted back, away from the Saiyan. His limbs seemed to detach from their sockets and unfurl downward like ribbons to each side. Lute took hold of two giant slabs of snow ice-coated granite and ripped them from the sides of the mountains. The extended limbs retracted at a blazing speed and he brought the slabs together with an thunderous collision with his foe at the center. They were obliterated, pebbles and bits raining down onto the mountains below. The Demon King's amethyst aura surged as he gathered his power. To anyone capable of sensing it, it felt like the purest of malice, wretched and painful to even detect. The amount of dark energy he was exuding was dangerous, even for demons to rely on. Most of it he had siphoned away from Hollow--grafting it onto his own aura as a haphazard way to gain power. His blatant hate was a scourge on the mind, often obliterating resolve and flattening confidence of those able to detect it. Lute didn't know if it would do such things to his foe, but it didn't stop him from wielding the power like a tool of war anyway. Lute opened his mouth, bright ki rising bubbling from his gullet like a geyser. It shot forth in a single blazing stream, aimed at the Saiyan with enough force to blow him back and cause serious burns. For a moment he stifled his hate and his bloodlust. Lute had trained his entire life to control his baser urges, as was a important aspect of his Dragon Clan training. Despite his emotions, he needed to think clearly. There was more here at play than just a gods-sent mockery. Far more. He floated there for a brief moment, his dark power flowing and billowing off of him. He tilted his head as detected other smaller ki signatures trickling in. They were faint, mere whispers compared to him and his foe. No doubt they were members of the Imperial Patrol. They skirted the action for now, curious and uncertain. No doubt they had never seen the Demon King in battle. No doubt they wanted to watch the grandeur of him taking on such a powerful foe. One thing he could feel, a sense of unease in their auras. Abbayor had never been attacked like this by an enemy, so blatantly and so--coordinated. Still, this seemed like a small attack force force the Dominion, if that's even what it was. No doubt this warrior was part of a prelude to something greater. Lute needed to end this swiftly, because he worried that they only had more soldiers to send down once their vanguard had done its duty. Some time during the brawl, most of the soldiers caught Yama in a dog pile. Their commander realized they had the numbers to their advantage against a single enemy combatant. He ordered them to all smother the Saiyan. Overwhelm him and bring him to heel. So, in the middle of the compound, a large mountain of soldiers and cadets all struggled to hold down the Saiyan. Suddenly the pile erupted and soldiers went flying in every direction. A large chiseled silhouette stood amidst them all. In one hand he held onto his hammer, in the other he held the leg of some unconscious xeno soldier. They quickly regrouped and set upon him once more. Yama slung his hammer with one hand and then used the body of his victim as a weapon and swung it at the oncoming xenos. As the fight in the main yard intensified, the commander looked on from a catwalk that extended from the barracks to the main academy. He had no way of getting any backup. They were on their own against this monster. "IS THAT THE BEST YOU CAN MUSTER!!!!"Yama's voice rang out as he launched into the air. His hammer held aloft over his head. He swung it down and the ground quaked and ruptured at the impact site. Dozens of lightning bolts surged up into the sky. The sound of thunder echoed across the clouds as many smaller bolts of lightning crashed down upon the unsuspecting hoard of soldiers. The damage was immense. Hundreds of lifeless bodies littered the grounds. The commander took a step back, but regained his composure quickly. He gestured and the turrets once again powered up. Yama took notice and leaped up at him. The commander's eyes went wide as the last thing he saw was the palm of the huge Saiyan's hand coming at him. Yama landed on the other side of the yard, clenched his fist and then dropped the crumpled up body of the commander before launching himself at the defensive walls. He then took to smashing the turrets to pieces all the while as they fired upon him. His jumpsuit was ripped to threads and he was covered in burns and lacerations. Suddenly Yama was knocked off the platform and hurled into the main structure. Standing in the hole when Yama looked up was someone who looked familiar to him. A patrolman. "My name is Bart. Gravity took a faction of a moment to have its effect on Russ- the boy stayed in the air for a second more. All it took was apparently that instant for his opponent to complete the arduous task of reaching down, grabbing slabs of rock, and attempting to turn him into a Saiyan sandwich. His own arms swung to each side in halting the attack. This caused the material to crumple around both hands before shattering into hundreds of smaller fragments altogether.
Footing from these falling rocks gave him a split second more to stay airborne. Yet soon after, an aura flared out. Neither the ability to detect this energy, nor the tools required to do so were activated for him. Regardless, he could feel it roar at him like an explosion of raw, unbridled rage from an angry firework. As if to make matters worse for Russ, an energy wave was in the midst of charging nearby- point blank, in fact.
The ensuing blast lit the sky up with a macabre flash of light.
A grand stream of devastating Ki pushed him back at breakneck speeds. To paint an accurate image of this situation, one could compare the boy’s situation to being at the very forefront of a bullet train as the tracks drew closer to a concrete wall. No injuries had been inflicted upon him so far, but this unquestionably possessed the potential to demolish whatever it hit on the other end.
Teeth were grit as hands forcefully attempted to push back on the beam. Without Ki control, Russ failed to anchor himself at a point in midair. His brows furrowed harshly. He hunched over while feet were placed on it in this useless test of strength.Normally, this would not bothered him in the slightest. Normally, there did not happen to be a bustling metropolis over on the horizon which he was unwillingly being thrown towards.
Time ticked by. A mile closer.
Time ticked by while the enemy briefly paused.
Time ticked by. Three miles closer.
He refused to give in. At the very last second, his right arm bent behind him as he grasped at this energy with the other. One remained between him and the city. With that one inch, a punch was thrown at this conglomerate of energy. The attack screeched wildly prior to redirecting itself back to the sender. This time, a wildly different sight came into play.
Russ was standing on top of the head of this beam with both arms folded.
