It was a good day. The sun was shining, the bees were humming, the birds were singing...
Alaka sat in the middle of a glade, a small vestibule that served as a place for travelers to rest before heading deeper into the nearby forest. The tendrils of her 'hair' swayed back and forth as she relaxed, as if being pushed by the breeze... though the air was still. She reached beside her, skillfully snatching the head of a radish and pulling it free of it's roots with one brisk motion. Her hand brushed over the flesh of the vegetable, wiping away any dirt clinging to it before digging her fingers in to snap the radish into smaller pieces.
As the radish was parted, an earthy scent began to fill the air as it's innards were exposed. It wasn't long before a nearby bush rustled... and then a snowy white rabbit wiggled out into the open, lured by the smell of food. The Majin's lip curled into a faint smile behind her gray scarf, turning her palm upward to offer the radish to the bunny. After a moment's hesitation, it hopped over to her, nibbling at the chunk of food in her hand before letting out a happy squeak.
The sound seemed to be a call of some sort, as yet more rabbits bounced out from beneath the bush. Five in all, three much smaller than the others. Their little cotton tails wiggled happily as Alaka sorted the food amongst them, ensuring each received a fair share. She felt some strange, warm feeling welling up inside of her chest as her smile grew wider.
Tch. Pathetic.
Alaka's eyes widened as she dropped what remained of the radish and suddenly whipped both hands up to grasp at her head. The sudden movement spooked the rabbits, sending the family rushing back towards their den. But as for the Majin herself, she merely let out a pained whimper as she dug her fingers into her temples.
What the hell do you think you're doing with my body? Do you even remember who we are?!
Her breathing shallowed as she brought her knees up closer to her chin, quivering slightly as she tried to suppress the voice again. It wasn't real. Just ignore it, and it'd go away... all she had to do was block it out for a little bit and it would fade, just as it always had. At least, that's what she had to tell herself. Words: 414 Majin Zam

High in the sky a pink streak was zooming through the fluffy clouds. A Majin named Zam zipped up and down, rolling and looping around, like she was diving in and out of a white sea. The whistling winds carried cheerful laughter. At the same time, the childish creature every so often turned her eyes and antennae down towards the forests below. She scanned the scenery, seeking for any interesting sights and sensations. See, today was a great day for adventure! And if she got lucky, she might spot something new and exciting! Like a beastie to wrestle... Or something good to eat... Or even a new friend!
It didn’t take long for the girl’s rubbery feelers to twitch, tickled by a strange sensation. She immediately came to a skidding stop, well, whatever the flying equivalent of that was anyway. There was a spike of power down there, smaller than her, sure, but also waaaay bigger than normal earthlings. And in a funny, weird way... It felt sort of familiar too? She couldn’t really explain it though. Hm, welp, only one way to find out! Without wasting a moment the pink comet shot down towards the forest below.
Upon reaching the peaceful glade, Zam stopped to float a short distance away. She cocked her head, admittedly a little puzzled. A pink girl...? More than that though, her attention was drawn towards the adorable balls of fluff gathering around the stranger. The golden gaze was suddenly filled with twinkling stars. Cuuute! Her heart trembled with barely contained wonder. Aaaand just a tiny bit of envy. She wanted to play with bunnies too, but they always got scared and hopped away... Grandpa said it was because she was big and scary... But she wasn’t scary! Honest!
As soon as the bunnies fled, the curious Majin finally snapped out of her thoughts and drew closer. She hovered right above the oddly acting stranger. Sloooowly her upside down head inched into view in front of the other girl’s face. Close. Very close. pair of golden eyes glimmered with curiosity. Quiet seconds crawled by. A cricket chirped somewhere. ...Until suddenly the girl flashed a beaming smile. "Oh hai!" The cheery greeting overflowed with energy, much like her excitedly flailing limbs. "You look like Zam! And Zam looks like you! Are you like Zam too?" Volume control clearly was not her strong point. And neither was the concept of personal space. Words: 410 Majin Alaka

Even if Alaka could sense Ki she wouldn't have noticed the other Majin's approach, wrapped in her own thoughts as she was. As she'd hoped, the voice vanished back to whence it came. For now. It would return in due time, as always, but there was nothing she could do about it for the moment other than to try and keep her emotions in check.
With a heavy sigh Alaka rose back onto her feet and turned to walk away... only to find herself face to face with a familiar pink face. The Majin let out a sharp yelp as she tensed up, a loud whistle sounding as steam blew out from her pores. The sudden shock startled her such that she took a few stumbling steps backward, only to hit a stone with her heel and cause her to fall back onto her rump.
From her new position on the ground, she finally had a moment to take stock of the situation. Her eyes were wide with confusion as she stared up at the other pink girl... and then realized that no, this wasn't the voice inside her head given form. This was an entirely different Majin!
Alaka had never met another Majin before, discounting the two halves of her split personality, but she knew how her race was created- mostly. Either summoned by a sufficiently powerful Warlock, or split from another Majin via fission. There was a third method involving a technique called the 'Love-Love Beam'... but that was a foreign concept to her. Regardless, she wasn't as surprised by the existence of another Majin as the other girl seemed to be.
She slowly picked herself up off the ground, taking a moment to brush herself off while lowering her head into her scarf to meekly cover up to her nose before pointing at the other girl... and then pressed her thumbs together while pointing down towards the ground with her pointer fingers to make an 'M', then let the symbol fall apart to quickly flick her finger between herself and the other girl, confirming that they were indeed both Majins.

Flipping around in flight, the curious creature got a better look of the similar stranger. So much of the same... They both had bubblegum-colored bodies, holes along their arms and short, pink bundles of pretend hair, even if styled differently. Yet much different too... Like their outfits. Zam for one was dressed in the classic Majin garb, just white baggy pants and a black tube top, as well as boots and arm sleeves to match. She was the spitting image of a mischievous genie. Or a child-like destroyer...
As the quiet girl started motioning, Zam cocked her head with equal parts curiosity on confusion. M? Were they playing a guessing game now? Ooh, but she loved games! "Uhhh... Maybe?" Okay, so, maybe she wasn’t any good at them. But she would still try! "Many? Me?" The guesses were haphazardly tossed out. She squirmed around, looking at her own body as if it would somehow offer a hint. ...And against all odds it did. When her eyes found the symbol on her belt, the pieces clicked together. She naturally knew what the mark meant, a small piece of instinctual information bubbling from somewhere deep within. "...Oh, Majin!" Yep, it was the Majin mark. She wasn’t sure why, but that’s what it was.
Approximately five seconds later, long enough for an awkward pause, the realization finally in for the simple girl. "Ooooh! Yus! Zam is a Majin too, is what Zam is!" Without a warning, the bundle of energy rushed towards the stranger, arms spread wide open. If Alaka didn’t move fast, she would’ve found herself tackled against the ground in an overbearingly affectionate hug. Well, someone had been lonely. She was just so super excited to find another Majin. Sure, there was Lili too, but she hadn’t seen the blue buddy in ages...
Zam sought to nuzzle her cheek against her new friend. Yep, they were friends now. She had decided that. "Hey, hey, do you have a name? My name is Zam! Nice to meetcha!" Giving the redundancies a rest, the talkative bundle of energy finally backed off a little and stopped to catch her breath. Expectant silence filled the air, giving the quiet stranger ample chance to speak up. ...Or, you know, not. Words: 380 [Total = 790] Majin Alaka

When Zam started guessing what the M was supposed to mean, Alaka thought about how she could make it clearer what she meant. But the answer was simple! She could simply point towards Zam's belt, emblazoned with the Majin's signature M as it was. But just as she was starting to raise her arm, Zam figured it out on her own. Well, that was fine. She never had much of a chance to communicate with anyone but the Shinjin that freed her from her prison, so she was still rusty at the whole pantomiming thing. Presumably she would get better with time.
But! There was no time to dwell on that. By the time she decided to return her attention to the other girl, she was already halfway towards the ground with Zam wrapped around her! Alaka's face flared crimson as her back hit the grass, body whistling as steam shot out of her pores while she flailed helplessly beneath Zam. "...Eep!!!!" A little squeak forced it's way out of her from being cuddled with so suddenly.
When she calmed enough to start planning her escape, she sucked in a huge breath of air, letting her chest puff out a little before exhaling just as harshly. But where she stopped inhaling once her lungs were full, her exhale didn't cease even after her lungs seemed to be empty. She let all the air flow out of her body, growing narrower and narrower... until she was thin enough to try and slip beneath Zam and escape from between her legs. If she managed it, she'd pop back to her regular thickness once she hopped back onto her feet, wobbling a little to regain her balance.
She'd spin on her heel to face Zam again, face still red from being flustered even if she'd run out of steam to expel for the moment. Part of her wanted to run away and find some cave to hide in, but no, if she wanted to learn how to interact with other people... this wasn't the worst test subject she could have run into. ...Right?
First, she'd have to answer Zam's request for her name. Alaka raised her arms into the air, attempting to summon the mystic energies in her body to cast a spell... only for nothing to happen. She felt completely and utterly empty. Her hands came back down so that she could look at her palms in confusion for a moment, only to realize the issue. Her power had been sealed. She was no longer capable of magic. So, she would have to explain this the old fashioned way. Charades! So, she held her pointer finger up and then slid her hand over a bit before extending her thumb to form '1L'.
Her head whipped around, searching for something- until finally locking on her target! She grabbed her right shoulder with her left hand and thrust her right arm forward, the limb easily stretching a few dozen feet towards the tops of the trees so that she could snatch an apple from a branch before snapping her arm back to her. With apple in hand, she held it in front of her while pointing to it with her left hand. Then the left hand made another L, pointed back to the apple, her right arm rose straight up while her left arm and leg came out at opposing 45 degree angles to form a full body K, then she brought the apple back down to point back at it again. 'A-L-A-K-A.' It made sense in her head.

Much to Zam’s mild disappointment, her new friend turned out to be the shy sort. ...Though she only noticed the great escape when the smooth skin against her cheek was suddenly replaced with ticklish grass. Bewilderment bubbled to surface. "...Huh?" Rolling over, she plopped to sit on the ground and turned her full attention back onto the quiet girl. The wish for more hugs was still kind of twinkling in those hopeful eyes... She understood though. Not everyone liked hugs. And that was okay.
The curious creature watched closely as the silent stranger started making motions. Her head tilted to the other side, as if another angle would help her understand better. Well, maybe it did. So, first there was... uh... Finger? Line? One line? Just one? And... L? One L? She nodded in deep understanding. "Hm hm, I see, so that’s how it is..." Yes, indeed. Most indeededly. So far she was following along. When the apple was added to the picture, her arms folded and brow furrowed as she pondered the pantomime. She thought so hard that streaks of steam rose from her head, gathering into a floating question mark before vanishing into the breeze.
Eventually Zam did voice a careful guess. "Um... Lapple Kapple...?" It was kind of a weird name... But she wouldn’t judge! Except... "But that has three L’s..." She sighed at the realization, deflating a little like a leaky balloon. With a huff, she puffed her cheeks and thought even harder. Letters and apples were swirling inside her mind. Suddenly her expression brightened as the realization dawned on her. Beaming with glee, she leaned closer. "Oooh, is it just Kapple? Your name is Kapple, right?!" She was so sure she got it right this time. It had a K, one L and an apple. Clearly she had it all figured out. Words: 311 [Total = 1101] Majin Alaka

When Zam said that she understood, Alaka felt elated! She felt bad for thinking it, but maybe the other girl was smarter than she'd originally given her credit fo- ...Lapple Krapple?! What... how... who...
This is stupid. Blow a hole in her and let's be done with it.
Alaka winced as if she were in physical pain while her vision clouded. Because, well, she was. The Voice was like a psionic dagger into her brain. But even if she were to take the Voice's advice, it wouldn't do any good. Zam was a Majin, like her. She'd just reform and be right as rain.
When her sight cleared, she saw that her right arm was raised towards Zam's chest, fingers splayed as if to fire a magic blast. She let out a surprised yip and grabbed her wrist with the arm still under her control just as the Voice's attack released-! But even as she pulled her arm back, there was no deadly spike of energy. Or anything else for that matter. Alaka thrusting her arm out, then yanking it back towards her own chest was probably an odd sight for the other girl.
HEY! WHERE THE FUCK IS MY POWER?!
Her eyes clenched shut as she grabbed at her shoulders, hugging herself tightly. Her body quivered from the force of her fingers digging into her biceps. It wasn't until the pain started to fade, signifying that the Voice was leaving her thoughts that she finally spoke. "Mmf."
Well, she'd tried to speak, but her scarf was still tightly wound around her mouth. She peeked up at Zam through a single half-lidded eye. She didn't want to talk, but... the only other person around was a fellow Majin. Surely it wouldn't be too awful to say something. So one of her hands came up, tentatively grasping at her scarf to tug it down past her chin and let her soft, meek voice be heard. "...Me Alaka.". A single white fang was exposed behind her lips when she spoke, though she quickly pulled the scarf around her mouth again once the name had been given, waiting for Zam's response.

Zam smiled smugly, so very sure that her guess was right. She was getting good at this game! For real! The smug glow shifted into a puzzled silence as the other girl lifted her hand at her chest and made a sort of grabby hand. Then the light bulb lit up. "Ooh? You wanna touch?" Flashing a friendly smile, she offered an enthusiastic nod. "Yus, go ahead! I’m suuuper soft!" She puffed her bouncy chest proudly, completely oblivious to... well... a lot of things, actually. Innocent and playful by nature, she couldn’t even guess that there had been a threat to her life. And even if she somehow had, she wouldn’t have minded. It was fine. She was immortal, you know.
Since the quiet girl shied away again though, the cheery Majin was left confused again. This new friend seemed... kinda like... in pain? The strange struggling was almost making the carefree Majin worried. ...Almost. All the worries were blown away when the friend finally decided to speak! Sort of. It was a soft sound, far from Zam’s loud exclamations, but she still caught the most important part. Alaka. So her new friend’s name was Alaka! It too had one L and a K. She did briefly wonder how the apple fit the picture though... Oh well! "Nice to meetcha, Alaka!" Good name, great name!
Now that the new friend had a name, Zam could finally voice the question that had been forming in her mind all this time. Excitedly she drew closer, pretty much demanding attention. "Hey Alaka, hey, listen! Um, sooo... How did you get so close to those bunnies?" She turned her gaze to the ground and poked her fingers together awkwardly. "I like bunnies too, but they always hop away from me..." She was kinda ashamed to even admit it, but... It was a problem she couldn’t just punch or blast away. So she honestly was out of ideas here. Her face somehow transitioned from bright red to dark purple when Zam said she wanted to touch. Oh Gods, she was going to make it through the entire rainbow before the end of the day, wasn't she? Alaka had to slap her own cheeks hard enough that her face squished in order to clam down enough to return to her usual bubblegum tone. For a being that was over a thousand years old, she didn't exactly know much about romance- but she did know that Zam's mindset was dangerously oblivious. People could... get the wrong idea about all kinds of things with her.
But she managed to relax a little when Zam repeated her name. She still felt a little uncomfortable with speaking, but if it was with another Majin, then maybe it wasn't so bad. It did clear up their misunderstanding rather quickly after all. But it would be a little bit before she could work up the nerve to utter another word.
When Zam started to move forward, Alaka meekly grabbed the sides of the scarf and lowered her head behind the fabric, almost like a turtle, until her face was hidden up to the bridge of her nose. Or at least, where the bridge of her nose would have been if she'd had one. Zam's happy, bubbly personality was... very, very different from what she was used to. The Warlock that had summoned her was verbose, but cruel and sadistic. The Shinjin that released her was quiet and reserved. Zam was something entirely new to her.
But, she wouldn't deny someone who wanted to commune with nature. To answer Zam's inquiry, she raised her pointer finger and pressed it over her scarf where her mouth would be in a 'Shhhh' gesture. Assuming Zam simmered down a little, Alaka would drop onto her knees and gathered the remains of the radish that she'd dropped with one hand while her other hand waved towards herself. If Zam drew closer, she would lightly grasp the girl's wrist and try to carefully dug her down onto her knees to join Alaka on the ground. And if that worked out as planned, she would place a piece of the vegetable in Zam's hand and tug her wrist forward to extend her hand towards the bush. With that, it was just a matter of waiting and watching to see what would happen.

Mystified and mesmerized, the curious Majin followed the soundless instructions. First she nodded and zipped her mouth shut. No, that was not a metaphor. She actually traced her pinched fingers along her lips and squeezed together until there wasn’t even a line left. Well, she sure wouldn’t make a peep now. Then she crept closer to see what the girl had in her hand. Some sort of veggies? Immediately her nose wrinkled. Ew... She had no idea how people could eat those bland and icky things. Grandpa liked them though and always insisted they were good for health... Bleh.
Pushing the stray thought aside, the magical mischief-maker eagerly imitated the example. Dropping to her knees, she cocked her head at the offered vegetables. Sure, she tentatively opened her palm and accepted a piece, but... The imaginary gears weren’t quite turning yet. Uh... What was she supposed to do with this? She wasn’t going to eat it that’s for sure. Still, she followed along and crouched even lower. Slooowly she stretched her hand towards the bush. And now they had to play the waiting game.
Seconds crawled by, slowly gathering into minutes. It was a good thing Majins with their bizarre anatomy didn’t need to breathe, because Zam had been holding her breath in anticipation for a good while now. Eventually the patience was rewarded though. The bush rustled gently as a fluffy, white bunny peeked past the leaves. Its small nose twitched with careful curiosity. Immediately the girl’s gaze widened and hand trembled with poorly contained excitement. But for some reason the skittish little creature was keeping its distance...
Zam nudged Alaka with her elbow and shot the silent instructor a pleading look. The frantic back and forth glancing of the golden pupils combined with the nervous jitters probably translated to something like... Ihavenoideahowtodealwiththisplshelp... Or just... Heeelp... She was so close! Closer than she had ever gotten to a bunny! If it hopped away now, her poor heart would be crushed. Hopefully the wise nature expert had more tricks up her sleeve. The Majin offered only a small blink when Zam made her mouth vanish like magic. That was... probably something she could do as well, but she'd never tried nor had any reason to given she had no problem with keeping silent with one. But it still managed to draw a little giggle from the Majin all the same. Zam's pure innocence was refreshing somehow. Of course, thinking about how the two compared caused her smile to fade into a light frown. A bubbly, bouncy Majin compared to the once-conqueror of the Western Quadrant. She still had a long way before she could make up for what she'd done.
Alaka snapped out of her trance when the bush started to shake. That was a good sign! She was worried that she'd scared the rabbits away for good, skittish as they were. But instead of immediately hopping over, it remained at a distance, inspecting the pair carefully with it's light red eyes. It's caution was understandable given the circumstances. Trust was a difficult thing to earn, but quite simple to lose.
When she was judged, she turned her gaze back to Zam... and the girl's panic was clear on her face, even without a mouth. Alaka simply shook her head slowly, reaffirming her grip on Zam's wrist to hold it steady while her other hand came around to gently rub the other Majin's back. It was said that animals could smell fear, but they could sense a wide variety of emotions. Zam anxiety was likely even more apparent to the rabbit than it was to the girl sitting beside her. All she could do was try and keep her calm long enough for the rabbit to drop it's guard.

Patience was not the pink powerhouse’s strongest point, definitely not. She just couldn’t sit still without feeling like a fizzy drink was bubbling and overflowing inside her. Even with the reassuring rub, she was still trembling. This always happened with animals. They sniffed at her all suspicious and then ran away... like there was something... wrong with her... Somehow she persevered though. It was her specialty after all, squeezing through tight spots like silly putty. She just had to believe hard enough, right? Right. Good plan, great plan.
And sometimes good intentions were rewarded...
Hop... Hop, hop... Aaaand hop. Finally the cautious ball of fluff dared to draw close. Nose twitching it nibbled away at the veggie treat. Zam’s eyes widened even further and cheeks puffed with a delighted squeal trying to break free. The bunny was eating from her hand... She was really feeding it! Oh she couldn’t wait to tell Grandpa about this! He would be sooo proud. She could already imagine him scratching that bushy beard and grumbling approvingly about preciousness of life and stuff. And she agreed, bunnies were super precious!
But only sometimes.
When the excited girl reached out to try and pet the wild animal, however, it squeaked and scrambled away. Too fast, too sudden. She froze in the middle of the failed motion, staring at the fleeing critter. Something shattered behind her blank stare. After a painfully awkward moment passed, her head weakly drooped. Without saying a word, she crawled over to the closest thing that passed for a corner, which happened to be under the shade of a huge tree. She sat down, curled up aaand flopped to her side. A violet veil of gloom hung over her. Words: 290 [Total = 2070] Majin Alaka

Alaka could feel Zam quivering against her, but all she could do was continue to offer her silent support. And, it seemed it was going to pay off when the bunny drew closer, and closer-! She drew her hands back and let Zam take the wheel as it were, only for the spunky Majin to move too suddenly and spooked the rabbit off again. And after being scared twice in a row, it likely wouldn't be back for a third time. Animals were funny that way.
A quiet sigh escaped the girl as she reached out towards Zam, only for her fingers to swish through air. The other Majin had already stood up and started wandering away. Her hands anxiously came together, digits kneading into one another as she tried to think of what she could do to make Zam feel better. It was a good first attempt! The animals certainly hadn't trusted her right away either, but she endured until they started to feel comfortable around her. But how could she help Zam to understand that these things needed more time... she slowly shuffled over to Zam's side and crouched behind the girl, mouth opening... then closing again as she realized she had nothing to say.
Just then, a genius idea struck her like a bolt of lightning! Or at least, she hoped it was a good idea. Alaka's hands grabbed at her own head and roughly ruffled the feelers that made up her 'hair', pushing the mass back into her scalp until she was left bald. From there, she put a thumb in her mouth and blew hard enough that her cheeks puffed out... only for a single long, floppy rabbit ear to pop up where her hair once was! And then a second to match followed soon after! With a pair of bunny ears on her head, she lightly prodded at Zam's shoulder to get the girl to look at her.

It would’ve taken some prodding to get the depressed Majin to even budge. The gloomy aura was like an imaginary shell around her. First there was no reaction at all. Then she curled up tighter, as if hoping to shrink away from reality. But eventually the defense was worn down and she turned her head juuust enough to see the shape over behind her. The blank, broken gaze trailed upwards... until it spotted the floppy ears. There was a puzzled blink. And another. Finally some semblance of the previous lively energy sparked within the golden dots. Her lips reappeared just to mouth a single word.
"Bunny..."
After a brief pause, Zam suddenly sniffled. Her eyes welled up with glimmering tears and suddenly she lunged upwards. Quite the feat from a prone position too. Her arms flailed wildly, wanting to trap the girl into a clingy comfort hug. She really needed it too. Hugs were nice. Well, regardless of whether she got the coveted hug or not, just seeing the sort-of bunny was enough to cheer her up somewhat. Sure, Alaka wasn’t as fuzzy and small as the real thing, but tiny details didn’t matter. Cute was still cute. Honestly she was just glad to have someone who wasn’t scared or angry.
The sniffling girl sat back down and wiped the snot on her sleeve. Her head still drooped though and the blue feeling persisted. "I’m sorry... for scaring the bunny away..." Finally she had found an acceptable volume, even if the apology came out as a sad squeak. She awkwardly twiddled her fingers together. Words were hard. "I didn’t mean to, but... I just got so excited..." Well, knowing the power most Majins held, Zam especially, this was pretty much the best possible outcome. Whenever the pink powerhouse got too excited, things often tended to... explode.

She just kept prodding at the prone Majin over and over again until the other girl finally responded. The lunging glomp that followed should have been anticipated, but somehow Alaka neglected to plan for it. Thus, she was easily bowled over by the other girl, letting out a high pitched squeak of her own when her back hit the ground. She squirmed and wiggled between Zam's arms, though her struggles weren't enough to slip free of the other's grasp. Alaka was very trapped.
And then she was free! When Zam pulled away to sit, Alaka rose into a sitting position as well. Her hands came up to mash the bunny ears back into her head, fingers once again kneading at her own scalp in order to form the thick tendrils that constituted her hair. With one final shake of her head, she was back to normal! As normal as 'normal' was, anyway.
She listened quietly while Zam apologized, but when the girl finished, Alaka simply placed her hand over Zam's and gave her fingers a light squeeze even as her eyes fell to the grass between them. She didn't want to speak, but she also didn't want Zam to stay depressed. On the other hand, she didn't know what words to use even if she did try to say something. What a dilemma. Alaka didn't mind that the bunny scampered off. She simply enjoyed nature as it existed. It didn't need to be in front of her to appreciate it. But she wished there was something more she could have done for Zam.
...Maybe there was something she could do. Alaka rose to her feet and lightly tugged on Zam's hands to try and get the other girl to stand as well. If Zam went along with the tug, she would start to walk towards the line of trees beside them, wanting to lead Zam deeper into the forest.

When prompted, the sniffling girl did get up and follow along like an obedient puppy. Words weren’t even needed. She was easily motivated -and manipulated- by curiosity alone. The bunny thing still stung in her soft heart, but at least Alaka wasn’t angry about it. That took the worst edge off. Besides, bubbling excitement was beginning to overpower the sadness anyway. Of course she wanted to see what her new friend wanted to show her! Wiping the rest of the tears away, she quickly skipped after the quiet guide.
Heading deeper into the forest, Zam peered at the surrounding greenery. Light filtered through the leaves. Wind whispered in the trees. A bird was singing somewhere and a squirrel skittered along a thick branch. Usually flying high near the clouds and seeking places with lots of people, she didn’t come to places like this too often. It was sort of like back home. Less dinos though. Her idle mutter waded through the ambient sounds. "Hey Alaka..." After a tentative pause, she voiced the question every parent, guardian and unwitting babysitter dreaded to hear the most. ...No, not that one. The more innocent question.
"Are we there yet?" "Are we there yet?" "Are we there yet?"
Again and again, in the same flawlessly flat and bored tone, like a broken record. Even receiving and answer would’ve only delayed the inevitable repeat by few seconds. If there were trials to become a saint, putting up with this was probably one of them. It wasn’t until the pink duo reached some semblance of destination -or at least came to a stop- that the impatient girl finally stopped and lifted her arms. "Yaaay!" Of course the enthusiasm was genuine, as it always was with here. Because they were here! ...Um, but where was here? Words: 304 [Total = 2686] Majin Alaka

Zam seemed to become less depressed as they moved, which was good! She didn't want the other girl feeling sad. But then relief gave was to tedium as Zam kept asking if they had arrived yet. Despite not speaking herself, she didn't mind listening to other people talk. Which was good because Zam seemed to talk enough for the both of them. She merely replied to her companion's queries with a slight shake of her head. Over and over and over again.
Thankfully for Zam, it didn't take overly long to reach their first stop- an otherwise unremarkable tree with piles of hard, brown oval-shaped objects of about a foot in length surrounding the base. Alaka offered a quick bow to the tree to thank it for the bounty... before picking up one of the ovals and cracking it in half with her hands. The scent of chocolate and pineapples quickly filled the air as Alaka tried to hand the halves over to Zam. Despite the hard, unremarkable shell of the fruit, the inside was filled with a soft white chunks. If the other Majin took it, she would cup her now empty hand and gesture up towards her mouth to tell the girl to try eating it before leading her further into the forest still.
If Zam took a bite, she would find that the fruit tasted much like how it smelled, with the addition of hints of banana. It was a Cupuacu fruit, though Alaka didn't know the name. She just knew that it smelled and tasted like candy, so she assumed that another Majin could appreciate it. There was still one thing left that she wanted to show Zam... and she hoped that the other girl would like that, too.

The pink powerhouse lifted a brow, staring skeptically at the offered treat. Erm... Oookay...? However, her nose twitched with undeniable curiosity. Smelled like tasty things! She did take the halves, but only gave them a tentative sniff. It didn’t look like candy though... Her doubts were shattered by the first bite though. It was like getting hit with an energy blast of sweetness. Chocolate! Pineapple! Oooh with juicy aftertaste of pear aaaand a touch of banana! Not that she could put any of that into words mind you. "MmmmMh~!" She squirmed with a muffled squeal, savoring the taste. Her whole face beamed with pure joy. That was a gift well received.
Bit too well actually...
Approximately five seconds later, Zam had picked the ground clean and stuffed her stretchy cheeks full of fruit. Her hamster imitation was spot on at least. Much munch munch, she devoured the odd treats with a blissful smile resting on her features. Unlike the respectful Majin, the mischievous one rashly and selfishly hogged the tasty boon without any consideration for nature. ...Also, Majin or not, eating that much at once was a tummy ache just waiting to happen. Karma did work in mysterious ways after all.
Oh well, it was all fine though. Eating tasty things had been enough to make the easily excitable girl forget the bunny thing completely. Her head was full of chocolate. And hints of sweet fruit. Considerably cheered up now, she rushed after her friend. Upon catching up, she stretched her arm to pat, pat and pat the girl on the shoulder. Yes, she wanted undivided attention. Then, arms flailing wildly she declared... erm... something? "Mhif if fo foof! Fanf foo!" Her muffled mumbling may have been pretty unintelligible, but her thankful heart was definitely in it. She couldn’t wait to see what more Alaka wanted to show! Words: 310 [Total = 2996] Majin Alaka

Alaka was already heading to their next destination when Zam doubled back for more fruit. She wasn't particularly hungry and felt no compulsion to stuff herself beyond bursting... a feeling that Zam apparently didn't share. She was glad that the other girl seemed to like it, though. There wasn't much in the way of candy out in the forest, but there was certainly things that were just as good littered about if you knew where to look!
When she felt the barrage of pats on her shoulder, she turned... to see Zam standing behind her with swollen cheeks. She couldn't help but feel her own cheeks round out as she struggled to hold in a little laugh. Zam was just... so silly. But when the other girl tried to speak, she furrowed her brow and tried to make sense of it. Mhif if fo foof. Fanf foo? Could it have been 'This is so good! Thank you!'? Yes, that seemed about right.
If she were as affectionate as Zam, she probably would have given the other girl a hug. But since she wasn't... she just put her hand on top of the Majin's head and ruffled her hair a little through rubs. And with that out of the way... she went back to leading Zam to their next destination, just beyond the next copse of trees...!
They came upon a gigantic white tree, with a similarly massive beehive hanging off one of the lower branches. It was easily several times the size of a man, with the opening at the bottom large enough to crawl into. Alaka bowed to offer another short prayer before stretching her arms out, reaching up into the opening to fumble around for a moment before finding what she was looking for. When her arms came back out, she was holding two palm-sized bricks of honeycomb. Bees made far more than they needed for themselves, so she didn't feel two bad about borrowing some. However, a loud buzzing started to emanate from the hive, the entire thing quivering slightly as the buzzing grew louder and louder. Alaka pushed both combs into one hand while grabbing Zam with the other, fleeing back into the forest with the other girl. The bee's stings likely wouldn't actually cause any harm to either Majin, but she didn't want them to end up dying in defense of their home either. Besides, now they were on route to their final destination!

Basking in the attention, the childish creature hummed contentedly. She continued the tune all the way to the huuuge tree, until something buzzing caught her attention. Head cocking in that pondering position, she watched her friend deftly fetch some flowing gold. Sure, she had known that honey came from bees, but seeing it up close was like magic! When the buzzing started getting annoying though, Zam’s eyes narrowed and antennae twitched. A spark of magic crackled between the pale tips. If those things buzzed any closer... Luckily for the poor bees Alaka was there to drag her away before she did something completely thoughtless.
When looking up the term 'bottomless stomach' from some oddly specific and cheeky dictionary, one might find Zam’s image as an example. Defying both physics and common sense, she swallowed the massive mouthful in a single gulp. Her bizarre body briefly bulged, then snapped back into shape with a puff of steam. A satisfied hum left her lips. Yes, her appetite was pretty much endless. In fact, she was only looking forward to getting more snacks. It was a small wonder how she hadn’t bloated up into a jolly, fat Majin by now. Then again, her destructive powers had to be fueled somehow and she definitely did get plenty of exercise...
While strutting along, little miss sweet tooth shot curious glanced towards her friend. That fresh honey looked really good, you know... Sooo… Why weren’t they eating it yet? Ooh, was Alaka planning something? She sure seemed determined to go somewhere. A hand reached to pat the girl insistently. "Hey, hey Alaka! Hey, listen!" Pat... pat... Patpatpat. "Now that we have honey, think we could find a toast tree somewhere too? Ooh, or a muffin bush?" A giddy feeling bubbled in her stomach as she imagined the (im)possibilities.
