It was another day in West City, and things have certainly been the most peaceful it has in a while. Of course once you get past the memories of being attacked by a giant plant monster made by the Freeza Force and the more recent explosion of Parliament building where Regent Stone was. Things have certainly improved since those dark times as now the damages have been completely rebuilt thanks to help from Capsule Corp and West City is looking as beautiful as ever. Now the citizens of the city can have respite for now at least. At least it's better then what's currently going on in Satan City unbeknownst to the general populace of Earth.
After having that battle with Arashi and that was basically an overblown sparring match with a lot of wisdom spread here and there given from the cat's mouth. Will decided to come to West City to stop to get something to eat. He needs to save Sensu Beans for emergencies due to their healing properties so he can't just eat them to not be hungry anymore. He looks at all of the places to eat and flies over a lot of fancy restaurants that most likely need reservations to get in and are probably expensive. He sees a few fast food places, but he is cutting back on the grease for his new diet. He then stops to see a local diner called West Tiger Diner with a cute little cartoonish white tiger as their mascot on the sign, and he can smell some steak being grilled as he floats above it.
Nothing wrong with some grilled red meat after all it isn't fried and it's a good source of protein. He floats down and walks in and sees there are already a lot of people in here. He goes to sit in one of the empty booths and looks at the menu as a waitress comes in to ask for his order. It seems all of the waitstaff wear white tiger themed uniforms. Her outfit has a fake white tiger tail on the back with black stripes, and she wears a tiger ear headband on her head. It's a bit strange Will thought, although he couldn't help but think the outfit is cute.
"Hi welcome to West Tiger Diner can I get you a drink to start you out with?" she asks.
"A water with ice would be fine." Will says.
"Are you sure you don't want any milk?" the waitress suggests trying to keep a straight face while saying that.
Will opens his eyes slightly in a squinting matter to give the woman a look that just says "Really?" and the woman awkwardly tries to keep her smile because she gets paid a bonus if she keeps smiling even while wearing this ridiculous outfit. She walks away to get his steak while Will ponders where exactly this myth about cats liking milk started. From what he read their stomachs can't even handle milk, except that of their mothers when they are kittens of course. Does that mean all cat beastfolk like him have lactose intolerance as well or is he just one of the few?
He should be thinking about stupid questions like this until after he figures out his order and waits for it to be ready. While reading through the menu he notices there is quite a selection. There is even breakfast, dinner, and dessert items as well for lunch and according to the menu you can order from any of the menu's at any time. Breakfast for lunch, dessert for dinner, the possibilities and combos. No mere mortal should be able to have this much power and freedom with what they order and yet they did it anyway. It was a bit overwhelming even for Will as is thinking his over order.
He did come here after that nice steak, but then he noticed they have meatloaf as well. He is tempted to get fries as a side as he can smell them frying from his seat and the scent is tempting him more and more to cheat on his diet. No he should order the mashed potatoes if he is going to get anything potato related. Probably some broccoli on the side as well or another type of vegetable. Should he start with a salad or a soup. A nice warm bowl of chicken soup does sound good.
Of all the challenges one must overcome whether it be someone who practices martial arts or has a low minimum low paying job, indecisiveness is the universe's greatest obstacle. Whether it be thinking of what to order at a restaurant or deciding whether or not to switch the rails on a train track indecision can often lead to consequences. After all if Will takes too time figuring out his order the waitress would keep coming over to check up on him and he would be just wasting her time and look like a fool for not deciding quickly enough. Not to mention that a bunch of people sitting near him would notice if this were to happen and talk about it to friends and rumors would spread of him. The pressure was on as Will was facing what felt like a challenge he hasn't had in a long time.

The bell on the door rang as it opened to the latest customer. A small feline person. It wasn't exactly strange. Earth was filled with humans and non-humans. All were Earthlings. Van was tucked into his own booth, leaning against the wall with a map covering his face. The faint sound of breathing coming from under it was the only indication he hadn't died. On the table sat a mostly empty plate and a half-empty glass of water. As he snoozed there, the cat person took up the booth right beside him. The slight jostling brought him out of his slumber. He mumbled something about booby traps, giggled to himself, and fell back to sleep. The waitress coming over brought him back to reality again. He grumbled under the map but then giggled when she asked the cat person if they wanted milk. He could see his booth neighbor's reflection off of the polished silver that lined the counter across from the booths. He lazily watched as the new customer scrutinized the menu. Van arched a brow. He had been at it for awhile and it looked as if he was getting flustered. The boy sighed, rose upright, and set the opened map onto the table. He leaned against the cushion of the booth. The cat customer's head was just on the other side. He spoke up, offering his own suggestion to help him. At least, he hoped it would help anyway. "Try the meatloaf. I just had some and it was really good."

Will was then pulled out of his trance to see a blue eyed blonde youth suggest that he should try the meatloaf. While normally an adult wouldn't take the advice of someone so young when it came to what to eat Will is willing to take this kid's offer to finally come to a decision. About time too as the waitress from earlier has returned with a glass of ice water for Will. The waitress noticed the constipated look from earlier and she knows that look all too well as someone thinking too hard to decide what to order. She hopes that he made up his mind cause she doesn't want to wait for a cat all day and she has a date after work too. "So have you decided your order?" the waitress said masking her pain. "Yes I would like the meatloaf dinner with mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli. And to start it off a house salad." Will said. "Really? I mean oh really? Coming right up cat I mean sir!" the waitress stuttered. As Will was waiting for his food he couldn't help but hear a discussion coming from a group at a table near the entrance of the diner opposite from where he was sitting. "I'm telling you guys it's this country's shitty customary system is why our portions are so tiny compared to back in Satan City!" the grey haired man stated. "For the last time Kact, you can't keep blaming things on the customary system." the blonde haired man said. "Look Ficus, I spent years in school just to learn about how metrics work, and I don't want to learn about a whole new way of measuring things. But I am telling you guys those portions were more like kid sized then what we could get back home!" Kact said. "Well would be already be back home right if Vern here didn't get food poisoning from eating pit stop food!" Ficus said. "It's not my fault, I told you guys I wanted McHercules, but Orch refused to stop so I bought some food with the pit stop. It looked good at the time." Vern, the gentleman with the hair the resembles a house plant, said. "I might as well ordered a single black coffee and left just to spite you and let you go hungry for wasting our time because of you we were late." Orch, the one wearing the odd attire and purple hair, said. Will then tried to ignore them as much as he could with his sensitive ears. That is he until he caught one of them saying something about robbing a bank. "-if we had gotten here quicker it wouldn't have closed on Wednesday noon! And why closing on Wednesdays anyway, it's not like people go to church on Wednesdays!" Kact angrily whispered. "Well we better wait until they are open tomorrow so we can get the money for Bills Capone." Ficus whispered. "Or...we can all rob this place." Orch suggested. All three of the gangsters then look at Orch with shock as he smiles at his "grand idea". "Think about it, all of these customers have wallets in their pockets. Also there's the cash register, the tip jar, and even the safe. This place has a lot of money and it would be way easier for us to rob here then a bank. Whose going to stop us, the wait staff wearing the ridiculous outfits working minimum wage or the manager that barely gives a shit." Orch said. All of their faces of doubt are replaced with grins of malice as Orch gets out a laptop and begins typing on it. Will realized that everyone here was in danger. Thankfully these guys seemed to be incompetent so it wouldn't be too hard to get rid of him, just about to get up some murmurs about their devices starting to no longer function from cell phones to game systems. Then suddenly all of the blinds on the windows shut themselves preventing anyone from seeing what's going on inside out or out, with the open sign being moved to closed. Will then realized what he is feeling and what is happening, they aren't just normal gangsters but psychic gangsters. Kact got up and made needles out of psychic energy in between his fingers and he starts throwing them around and pin them to the walls. Vern shows his hydrokinesis causing a lot of water to take the form a giant hands made out of liquid that holds multiple people down that panicked and tried to flee. Ficus gets up from their table and begins to speak to the confused crowd. "Good afternoon everyone, if you do as we say and give us all of the money in this establishment then no one will get hurt. And if I were you I wouldn't want to remember our faces. We have a lot of friends in the criminal underground who would silence you all to leave no witnesses to clean our mess so to speak. As you see we already have some hostages, anyone tries to escape or fight us again I assure you and they will die." Ficus explained. Well this day certainly gone off the rails. If he was quicker he could've already knocked those four out and they wouldn't have hostages as leverage, but now that they do Will is reluctant to take them all on by himself cause he might be able to save everyone if he does something. At the same time though he can't let these people get away with it and just steal everyone's money. Wait a minute, that means they would come for him eventually to take his money. Perhaps he can catch him by surprise and make him a hostage and offer an exchange. Word Count: 971 Total Word Count: 1861 Tag: Van

"Uhhhhhgggnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn..."He lifted himself up onto the table and stood to his full height, which actually wasn't much taller than the men if they were standing on the floor like normal. He pointed to the one who had spoken, striking a dramatic pose. "You picked the wrong diner, buddy!"Van appeared to be very confident. "Yeah, that's right. Me and... um.. me and..."The boy looks around and then notices the cat guy in the booth next to him. "... and this guy right here are gonna kick all of your butts!"A little bit of misdirection... They all looked towards Will for a split second. Van smirked and brought his hands up to his face. "SOLAR FLARE!"

Will was surprised that the boy next to him ended up stepping up to talk against the mobsters. The mobsters couldn't believe it either that a kid would have the balls to do that. And then Van said that Will was going to help him, which also caught Will off guard because besides his Gi how did he know he was a martial artist. Most people just thinks he is some weirdo that dresses up because of the cape, but capes are cool and he likes it when it floats in the wind heroically behind him during an intense moment. When they looked to see the weirdly dressed cat in the booth beside the kid they then start to think the boy is just trying to bullshit or distract them, or he is just really dumb. When the kid yelled out Solar Flare Will covered his eyes just in time as the mobsters were blinded. So he was a martial artist like him after all, that technique was primarily used by the New Crane School so he wondered if he got it from them. With them blinded Will delivered a blow to each of them individually in quick succession. A punch into Vern's gut, a kick across Kact's face, Orch's face being slammed into his lapto, and Ficus being given an uppercut and sent flying a few back and crashing onto one of the diner's tables. The people who were being held by the psychic needles and water were set free as it seems the abilities wore off with the psychic gangsters down. At first Will dusted his hands as he saw that he easily taken care of them, until they begin to get up now looking rather pissed. They all then to begin tossing knives and forks at them with their telekinesis, Will uses his own telekinesis to throw them onto the ceiling. "I thought you guys each had one psychic powers each for a sec like a sorta gimmick, like he creates needles, plant head uses water, the laptop guy has technopathy and you do whatever it is you do." Will said to Ficus. "Stuff like telekinesis and telepathy are pretty basic. We were born with these abilities and managed to increase them ourselves to gain new uses for them. As for what my gimmick is well, let me show you." Ficus said. The man then made a finger gun gesture with his hand and fired a black bolt which hit a table and crushed it as if an elephant stepped on it, alarming the man who was setting next to it. "Gravity Gun, pretty neat gimmick isn't it? Let's see if you this brat can survive the increased gravity." Ficus said. Will then saw him shoot towards the blonde kid and then goes and takes the shot for him and is surrounded by the black energy, while the weight slows him down a bit he isn't being crushed at all as he moves around to see how it is affecting him. Seeing him take the shot and still standing alarms Ficus greatly. "What is this like 50 or 60 times Earth's gravity? Nothing I can't handle." Will said. Vern then made a bunch of water burst of the sink from the kitchen and have it surround Will's head. Will covers his mouth in response but the water begins rushing into his nose through Vern's hydrokinesis and he eyes begin to bulge and go bloodshot as he is losing air. Will then telekinetically grabs a napkin holder and throws it at Vern's head who loses his focus and the water ends up falling down and WIll snorts the water out and begins taking breathes. He makes a note that their special psychic powers require intense focus it seems to stay in action. Kact makes a very large lance made out of psychic energy surrounding his hand and begins to lunge at Will and begins to try to skewer Will like shish kebab. Will begins dodging each and everyone of the man's attempts to stab him and trips him making him fall forward and drives his lance into the flower. Which ends up causing his arm to be struck. Will then kicks his head from above driving Kact's face into the floor and making an indent as he ends up being knocked unconscious, at least Will hopes he is. He then turns his attention to the other three and to see how the boy is doing. Word Count: 747 Total Word Count: 2608 Tag: Van

When Will turns to look at Van, the blonde boy is sitting atop a pile of three unconscious bodies. The rest of the group of robbers. He makes a finger gun gesture and shoots a black bolt at one of the ones Will had been dealing with. The bolt cracks the man in the leg and instantly drops him to the ground, flat. He couldn't lift himself up. Van was using the gravity gun ability one of the mobsters had. "This is a pretty cool ability!"Unfortunately, it would wear off after some time had gone by. Van could only keep a few abilities forever. Any new ones he got that he didn't want to keep ended up being discarded eventually. It would certainly be nice to keep every ability he came across but then again, he might not even remember them to use them again. The blonde boy hopped down off the pile of unconscious thieves and walked over to Will, his hands in his pants pockets as he eyed the orange gi he had on. "Nice job with those ones!"He held out his hand for a handshake. "Ya know... that gi looks familiar. You ever train with Goku?"

Honestly these four mobsters weren't expecting things would go down like this when they made their decision to rob this place. It was the worst day of their life that they had to pick the one diner where two even more stronger freaks then them would be in. Even more so when the child beats the rest of them down easily. After all of these years they spent perfecting their psychic powers so they could get away with whatever the hell they wanted. Bills Capone is going to be very cross when this ends up showing up in the news they thought before going unconscious. All of the onlookers were impressed, and also very frightened. If they weren't so scared of these two titans they would be congratulating them. So they go back to waiting for their food or paying for it and then leaving. The manager however came out of the safety of his office to congratulate the two. He is even more glad that his insurance is able to cover crazy shit like this so it didn't cost him anything either. "Heh heh you two did great, the phone started working again so I already managed to call the police and now they would have an easy time taking them in. Tell you what, whatever you ordered it's on me. You just saved my customers, my workers, restaurant, and my hide as well." the manager said. Although Will was certainly impressed himself of how the boy managed to easily mimic that Gravity Gun technique and was able to use it and control it to make the gravity increase low enough so that it wouldn't kill that man he used it on. Will didn't sense any psychic abilities from him until he used it. The boy must have an incredible natural talent to copy abilities of others. He wonders if he got the Solar Flare from watching someone else too. That could mean he didn't learn it from the New Crane School and might not have a master. Although now the boy says he apparently trained with someone named Goku. Goku...Goku...that name sounds familiar but Will can't put his finger on it. He knew a Son Godai but he hasn't heard or seen him in a long time. Could Godai and Goku be related? No that's just stupid to assume just because their names sound similar. There's probably no correlation whatsoever and Will is just thinking too hard. Might as well tell the boy the truth. "Well I didn't train with a Goku, but I trained with the legendary Master Roshi before his passing that is. It was a long time ago but, you probably don't want to hear about it. You don't want to hear some cat dribble on about his life, but I digress. I haven't introduced myself properly, my name is Will O. Wisp soon to be the New Turtle Hermit. When Will had mentioned that he knew Master Roshi and had spent time with him, Van perked up with a big smile. Then he looked off to the side as if confused. His eyes moved to the left, then the right. He pulled his hand up and started counting on his fingers. "...I haven't introduced myself properly, my name is Will O. Wisp soon to be the New Turtle Hermit. What's your name my dear boy?"Van mumbled something as he started counting on his other hand, entirely missing Will's question. "S-So wait, you've gotta be at least 500-600 years old then! Oh wow! I haven't met anyone as old as me before!"
The boy did a little dance in place before continuing. "This is crazy! What are the odds!? Oh wait wait! You must know this one then!"Van pulled both hands over to one side, gesturing the traditional Kamehameha stance. "But what about this one!?"He lifted both hands up over his head as if he was summoning the Spirit Bomb. "Oh! Or this one--"Van cut himself off when he realized that Roshi didn't actually teach the others he knew so Will might not know them. His smile drooped down into a half-frown. "I'm sorry, I've gathered so many over the years, sometimes I forget their origins. Yet it is hard to forgot someone like Goku though. He and his friends helped me through a dark time in my life. Sadly, I never got to meet the legendary Master Roshi. Goku spoke of him often though."The boy shook his head and the smile returned. "I'm Van! It's nice to meet you!"

Wait the boy says that he is 600 years old? He looks so young though, but he does not appear to be lying. He has no reason to and Will can tell from his aura that he is telling the truth. That means the boy is older then Will technically is cause Will trained with Master Roshi 400 years ago. How did the boy get to stay this young looking and live so long? Did he manage to find the secret for longer life that Master Roshi found to stop aging? The boy shows the Kamehameha stance which of course knows and nods at, he then also shows another stance for the Spirit Bomb which Will remembers seeing Godai using. Again the boy mentions Goku and that he seemed to have known Roshi as well. He could have been a student of his long before Will was a student of Roshi himself. Meaning Goku might end up being long gone. Will remembered the old photo he picked up at Kame House' remains and wondered if one of them in orange gi was Goku. "Well I am certainly no spring chicken, but I'll have you know I am only a bit over 400 years old. While I did recently retaught myself how to use the Kamehameha and learnt to do the version Master Roshi himself used long ago from what little I remember of him. I don't know that technique but it reminds me of one a child named Son Godai once used that was Spirit something. I am glad this Goku was able to help you in a hard time in your life. For most of my long life, like I said it requires a lot of explaining. It is a pleasure to meet you Van." Will said. He then beckoned the boy to come with him to his booth so they could sit across from each other to continue their conversation. Now how to start it out, well might as well start from the beginning. "The truth of the matter is something happened to me and the rest of the Turtle School students. I was a dead corpse cut up into several pieces before I was stitched back together and brought back to life as a servant for a crazy witch lady. The witch died and I regained my control and free will and little by little I remembered more and learned more, and yet I still don't know what happened that day. Although it seems I am more then an average cat man, recently I read through a book on mystical spirits called Yo-Kai. In this book one such being was a cat one called a Bakeneko, and ever since reading that book I wonder if that was what the witch was attempting to create with me instead of just an undead servant and that I have turned into this Bakeneko. It might explain how I am still alive even with the witch gone, or perhaps I "lived" long enough that my body became that of a Bakeneko. Whatever the reason my magical prowess and power have since grown and I can feel as if my potential to grow stronger has as well as if I could break limits I couldn't break before." Will explained. Will then began looking down solemnly thinking about how he could only have gotten this strong through some ludicrous means. It felt like he got a free pass to get stronger. Although then again if he had lived normally through martial arts and lived the ripe old age of 100 years he could have become a Bakeneko that way. As apparently from what he read in the book it is said that one of the ways a cat could become one is by living that long. Yet he was given a second chance of life so should he truly be complaining right now about it. Will then looks back up and notices Van as if he forgot he was there and coughed into his hand. "Sorry about that, I prattled on for so long and then just went deep into thought about something. Enough about me though I am someone as...long lived as you can tell me some stories yourself. After all I wonder how you managed to get this way since what you say is true. Did you found some kind of potion or spell that keeps you from aging or even the fountain of youth?" Will asked. He then looked and leaned in to whisper "Or was it a wish on the Dragon Balls that did this to you?". Word Count: 767 Total Word Count: 3,870 Tag: Van

Van grinned wide and nodded in response to Will's question. It was true. After both of his adoptive parents passed away, Van went in search of the dragonballs. Part as a coping mechanism to distract him from his grief and, in a way, to honor them for giving him so much. He had thought about what wish to make for a long time during the hunt. He wanted to wish them back to life, but he knew that they wouldn't want that. They believed in fate and to be brought back in such a way would violate their beliefs. Van wasn't restricted with such a compunction and so he had settled on a different wish. He would become immortal. As a kid at the time, he thought of how great it would be to live forever. All the time in the world! What great discoveries he could make, what worlds he could visit, and knowledge he could gain. What he didn't think of though, was that he would look the same and never age. He would be a young teen, barely a teenager at that, for the rest of his life. At first it bothered him to no end, but eventually, he got over it and just lived his life the best he could. Van blinked a few times, realizing he had been lost in thought. "Sorry about that."He looked around, realizing the scene most mostly under control and there wasn't really much left for them to do. "I've got some ruins nearby to explore. Maybe we can meet up sometime and spar? That would be fun!"Van handed Will his contact info in a little card. It was a neatly printed business card that just displayed his name and a contact number. The boy waved to Will as he headed out the door and off to begin another adventure.

Van nodded to confirm that indeed he used the Dragon Balls to become immortal. Will then sees that the boy becomes lost in thought too, curiously he reads the boy's mind and learns more on the matters of why he wished on the Dragon Balls. Poor kid, to lose his family at such a young age. Well Will can hope they are happy now in Other World. Will wished he remembered his parents but all he can vaguely remember is his dad who he remembers as being a white cat man like him. He remembered him living in a really tall tower or something like that so maybe he was rich. Will then was surprised to see that the boy was leaving already and Will didn't get the chance to learn more about he knows. The boy handed him a business with a contact number, surprised he managed to get one looking like a 13 year old, and left to go to explore. The boy was definitely a free spirit, seems more interested about discovering and learning things then actually fighting or getting stronger. Will thinks there is no more he can teach the boy, but perhaps there are some things the boy can teach Will about. It was then that Will then realized the food he has been waiting for arrived and then began to dig in. Van might know a lot of information about the past lost to time. Perhaps Van could teach him a few moves that he might remember. Too bad he didn't knew Master Roshi personally so he wouldn't be able to tell Will more about him to help jog his memory. But considering this Goku seemed to have been taught under Roshi as well, as evident of Van recognizing Will's Gi being similar to this Goku, then perhaps there are some things Van can teach him that Goku taught him from Roshi. Until then Will stayed at the diner to eat the rest of the meal and to make sure those gangsters didn't get back up or get away to cause anymore trouble. Thankfully they never did and the police came by to arrest them. Hopefully whatever prison those guys go to would be able to contain them. Although Will hasn't heard anything about the guys he helped apprehend before escaping so maybe they would be locked up for a long time. That is, if they have anything that can suppress psychic powers. But for now, it's time to eat a good meal and have a moment respite from all of the chaos that happened today.
