Liberty is bustling with more activity than it has ever seen. Thousands upon thousands of volunteers from across the entire Galaxy, disgusted with their pathetic way of life and wishing to see something, anything change for the better, packed their measly excuses for bags and made their way to this formerly uninhabited desert world a few star systems away from Abbayor, named after the one tenet which unites them all. They settled down in temporary camps, built from all what they had brought, they worked together to construct their houses and provide each other with basic services and amenities. Former Galactic Patrolmen, former Earthling warriors and former Frieza Force mercenaries all trained together to hone their skills in preparation for the final liberation of their homes. The "streets" - if you could call them that, they more resembed gaps between blobs of huts and tents - were chock full of aliens of all species, ages and genders. Poverty was widespread. A dozen hydroponic farms in the distance from the central camp, constructed by the engineers and scientists who had defected from the First Galactic Empire to join this heartland of revolution, were working day and night to feed the rapidly growing population and all of the immigrants who set down on this uninhabited world. There was no running water, only a few electricity generators to charge any necessary devices for all the inhabitants, and little contact with the outside world. Why would anyone in their right mind wish to abandon their lives, be it hard or soft, to make their way to Liberty and join what has been labelled by every single reasonable government at the face of the Galaxy as a dangerous terrorist organization? Desperation. Plenty, plenty of desperation. And hope, one must never forget hope. Every single person on the face of this planet - all of the thousands of specks Almus Alvazar could see off the top of the Liberty radio tower, the towering crown above the extensive camp, and the leader of the Black Star movement himself - slept and rose with the knowledge that their condition will not be permanent. All of the members of the organization had their own hopes regarding what the impending, unclear "revolution" which Almus called for will bring, but many of their goals aligned. They wanted an end to the centuries of conflict and strife between all of the factions in the Galaxy. They wanted an end to mass genocide and wholesale destruction at the hands of those disgusting, careless ki wielders. They wanted an end to slavery, to involuntary servitude, to the exploitation of their labor at the hands of the oppressive governments they grew up under and the corporations which order them from the shadows. They wanted liberty, freedom, fraternity and equality at last. They wanted suffering to end. They wanted liberation. Needless to say, the radical message of the Black Star earned them no favors. They had no allies at the Galactic scene. Not a single major faction dared to say even a single honorable word about their actions. Almus recalled their descriptions of him without any difficulty. He is a terrorist, a soon to be mass murderer. He is a threat to the stability of the Galactic order and the Empire. He is a traitor to the Galactic Patrol. He is an idealist who will never achieve anything of value, who will be lost to history. He is a tyrant who abuses the frustration of the common man for personal gain. The last description always cracked the Abbayor-born former Galactic Patrolman up, and it did the exact same thing now. Never - neither in the open, nor in private - did he consider himself to be anything more than the first among equals. A man who knows how to talk to others, to convince them of what is the right thing to do. And after all, isn't the Black Star the ultimate manifestation of the true goal of the Galactic Patrol, and the great heroes who inspired its continued existence, the Z-Fighters? To do the right thing with all your strength, selflessly, without any thought of profit? To rescue others from the trappings of greed and corruption, to liberate society from evil, even if blood has to be shed along the way? To not bow to the corporate machine and instead crush it with all your might? To him, it is not Almus who was the traitor to the Galactic Patrol. It was the Galactic Patrol who was the traitor to the Galactic Patrol. Planet Liberty was a manifestation of the core of Almus's Black Star. It may have been labelled a terrorist organization, but it did not consider itself one. The Black Star was a way of life. A way of life, free from the trappings of the unjust, corrupt society of the rest of the Galaxy, in favor of cooperation and liberty. Liberty had no police or military, the defense of their promised utopia fell on the hands of the people themselves. There was no government or someone ordering everyone else - the people managed themselves with cooperation and their own initiative, Almus and the other veterans of the Black Star only wielded power through respect and mutual trust. But, fortunately or not, this haven had to expand. Planet Liberty served as a good starting point for the revolution, but it was time to sprout a pair of wings and fly beyond. And with the death of the sly dog, Emperor Polaris, and the political chaos in the First Galactic Empire... it was a better time than ever to begin. " It's time to go."
A lone freighter, once having transported spices across the Galaxy, but now converted to a people transport, made its way across the solar system of Planet Liberty, closing in on an arid, barren world close to its parent star - and alongside an aging, fifty-something reptilian pilot in the cockpit, it carried four heroes, or, depending on where you are looking from, possibly villains, in its compartments. Liberty may have been a barren world inhabited only by a large camp of Black Star members, but it was certainly very well defended - through raids and attacks following the death of Emperor Polaris, or often through the crew of the ships defecting to the rebellion, the Black Star had amassed a fairly sizable fleet, which, alongside several planetary and space defense platforms and a "shoot first, ask questions later" mentality, meant that nobody except a few transport ships previously approved by Almus and the rest of the organizers were allowed to pass into the revolutionary stronghold. Which meant that the only way to get in is to find a way to have one of the approved transports to ship you there. Or have the Black Star themselves approve of your message. In the center of the room, once a spice storage room, where the four travelers were held, a light blue hologram began to materialize, manifesting into a more realistic-like body structure a few seconds later, unveiling itself to be 1-CE, the artificial intelligence managing the day to day affairs of Mitra and much of the First Galactic Empire, alongside Lute, in Emperor Polaris's absence. " My apologies for picking out such a poor and downtrodden transport for you to make your way to Planet Liberty with, as well as forbidding for bringing transports of your own - however, this is the best I could acquire on a short notice which would not be instantly shot down by the Black Star, so it will have to make do." the artificial intelligence spoke, in a soft and lukewarm voice. " My analysis of the ship's momentum and location on the interstellar map, as much as I can gather with only the instruments on Mitra at my disposal, inform me that this spaceship should be landing on the surface of Liberty shortly, which means that as long as I have a way to access you safely, I should allow myself to grant you a little bit more information." 1-CE stretched out her right palm, the full body hologram of a human-like man with messy white hair, a pistol at one hand, and a ragged uniform forming above it. " To be fair, however, the requirement to enter this planet on a simple freighter does play somewhat to your mission, in that I sincerely hope that you will not cause a massacre today. That is not what can kill a terrorist movement such as the Black Star, merely embolden them. However, this radical organization stands solely on the shoulders and charisma of one man, Almus Alvazar. A former member of the Galactic Patrol and a cadet of Kanassa Academy, he had joined the rebellion of Gadon the Protector over a year ago and fought alongside the traitors on Planet Pepper, but soon came into conflict with the Valkyrie-led movement out of their perceived moderation and unwillingness to take the fight to the Empire, which led to him dropping out entirely and joining the Black Star.
It is because of Almus's charisma and belligerence that the Black Star transformed from an underground terrorist cartel to a mass organization uniting much of the poor strata of the First Galactic Empire, and which led to the movement to establish themselves upon the barren world of Liberty to plot a strike southward. His radical rhetoric and call for the destruction of what he perceives to be a corrupt and unjust society have led to many blindly following his way and fighting for his cause with ferocity, something which you might notice if you desire to go in guns blazing. However, you might already tell where the weakness of the Black Star lies. Find a way to eliminate Almus, and the disorganized nature of this organization will lead to it unraveling itself. None of his successors will likely be able to project the same level or authority and charisma and disagreement over future cause of action will break out, at which point the splinters and infighting groups will be easy to round up and extinguish.
It, however, may be more complicated than one might initially consider. This is not the first time that the Empire has sent a strike force to attempt to eliminate the Black Star and its main organizers. Some of these missions had entire fleet squadrons behind them and enhanced warriors with enough strength to challenge Super Saiyans - and every single time, the result would be the same. Every single time, all of the Ultramarines and Imperial Patrolmen would find themselves slaughered and the world informed through their radio transmissions about a yet another victory against Imperial forces, causing even more people to join their ranks. It could not be Almus himself - he has never been anything special in battle, with a last recorded power level of a mere ten thousand - nor could it be any of his allies. Many of the members of the Black Star cannot wield ki at all, and if any warriors of considerable strength had defected to the terrorists, we would have been aware of their presence already.
So, something is amiss on the surface of Liberty, and I advise you all to be careful." The hologram of Almus Alvazar above 1-CE's hand faded, the artificial intelligence assuming that all of the agents have already memorized his face and appearance, and finished: " Any questions?" ICE COLD The innards of the freighter smelled of the various spices that once were housed there. It was irritating to the nose, but the demoness did her best to dull her senses. She was aboard this freighter for one mission only, to ensure that the Black Star was eliminated and dispersed. She held 1-CE's thoughts and plans highly, due to how much the late Emperor relied on her guidance. For an artificial intelligence she carried a rather personable demeanor. Her hologram flickered to life, her comrade Lute standing nearby in Polaris's stead. It was an odd sight, but she simply listened to the debriefing with a silent demeanor. She headed the warnings; she had no intentions to kill innocents, civilians or just any person standing on the surface of Liberty. She wasn't even sure if killing this Almus was going to work out as 1-CE described. What if the people of the Black Star were more resilient? What if they could thrive without the guidance of their leader? And this about the man himself being weak. Returning dead platoons of imperials wasn't an easy task. She could only wonder about what this weird dude had under wraps that gave him such an advantage? Kuueru sighed, her fingers rubbing at her temples as she leaned against one of the katchin walls of the freighter. They would be landing soon, and she was unsure about these people whom were on the ship with her. That was, except for Kaijin. The android whom she had worked with closely this past month. He had proven himself to be a valuable ally and friend. At least with him around she could worry less.

These days, it took much to get the Android to arise from his personal lab on Hollow.
The last time he had gone on an excursion like this was, of course, the Shroomy Tournament, which had been broadcast for most of the galaxy to see. Since then, the Android had promptly retired his one-time, barely existent career as a martial arts champion to return to the peace and quiet of his own lab on Hollow, consistently venturing between his private projects on Hollow, his work for Andrew Creed on Tech Tech, and his more public role as Chief Scientist of the Imperial Bureau of Science and Technological Advancement, given his decision to join Kuueru and Lute in their affiliation with the Galactic Empire, the two placing him in a position that would be most suited to his specialties, which was vast....vast stores of scientific knowledge, as well as historical knowledge. Bouncing between so many planets, and so many projects was not an easy task, and would cause any normal scientist to break down from the stress of advancing in them all within a time frame. However, was he the typical scientist?
Not at all, he was much bigger than that.
But, of course, this mission had dragged him away from all of that. Away from the chaos and the near addictive call that was science. This was a matter of making sure the Galactic Empire remained...an Empire. The Black Star organization was a new revelation to him, and one that Kaijin wasted no time in synchronizing with the Galactic Hypernet in order to discover more. General news alerts from most media stations was about the most he could glean from a quick Hypernet, but it was enough to get what he needed to know. This Black Star Organization was a terrorist organization, a coalition of the oppressed and disgruntled, the misguided who sought to tear the galaxy apart into disunity, instead of banding together, sowing discord within the galaxy. Kaijin was no stranger to oppression, and to "slavery" as organics described it. Hell, organic forms of slavery didn't hold a candle to the "programming' that organics inflicted on artificial creations such as he, in which the word programming was near synonymous with the sad excuse modern society associates with slavery.
Nonetheless, Black Star Organization summarized exactly what Kaijin himself despised. Disorder. Kaijin's vision for the universe was to correct the boundaries that society had drawn up to separate man, and to unite organics. However, this organization did exactly the opposite. Take advantage of weaknesses to sow discord and to create resentment within the public, so that ultimately in the end they can hurt both the governments they were targeting, and the very people that they were supposed to serve. Usually, such cases were dressed up as "noble sacrifices" so that they could reach their public goal. It was all crap. Crap that Kaijin had intent to dispel.
With such intent in mind, the scientist was the first to offer his services to the mission that would be step one to eliminating this blight from the universe, before taking the steps to restore order to the Galactic Empire. Which is also why now he sat in a rusty old freighter with Kuueru, in which their journeys together were becoming more frequent. He smiled softly to himself as he made note of such. The two worked together, and he held great confidence in her ability, both in combat and out. She wasn't a high ranking Imperial Commander simply for the increased accessibility to hot dogs. She was, more likely than not, a better fighter than the Android scientist himself.
The next man was a man Kaijin only knew from reputation alone, his name one of the first that popped up on his datafeed when he first reviewed the list of notable Imperial Scientists. Doctor Nikolas Grey, a man with a genius intellect that Kaijin had to admit rivaled his own, and with an organic brain of all things. He had wanted to meet Doctor Grey for quite awhile, however his obligations to the Leviathans and the Empire, as well as his own personal projects had kept him preoccupied. However, if there was any condition in which Kaijin could observe the man's work, this was the best event to judge.
And then there was a man that Kaijin was not familiar with. Of course, he could be another Imperial soldier, but the Android was in no position to verify. Whoever he was however, his detection systems could already indicate the man was rather powerful, and Kaijin knew already with most species that their full power was only brought about through transformation. Hell, he guess he would find out sooner or later.
"If there is a side to the Black Star Organization that is responsible for all these failed mission attempts, then as 1-CE alluded to, straight up invasion or blind tactics will only bring about more trouble, especially with such little known information about this threat. When we do touch down planetside, decisions need to be made with a sound mind, and with effectiveness at the forefront of your priorities. If we cannot succeed, the organization will only grow stronger. No matter who you are, and where each of you come from, rely on each other, for this mission isn't one to play hero, or solo. When we touch down, we are colleagues. Allies for this purpose. And we will win, in the end."
With such a heartwarming, motivating speech spoken with about a level of enthusiasm and emotion that one would expect from a dead duck, the Android's uncanny red eyes drifted away from the group as he stepped up to stare intently out the front windows, his red eyes gazing into space out in front of him.Post Count: 1 | Dain Sincara | Legume | doctorgrey | Queen Kuueru

For Dain it was just another typical day of work. Granted he rarely worked for such powerful organizations or along such powerful adversaries. Yet in the end it was just another job, this time he was being paid to eradicate some kind of organization. It was true that Dain had neither heard of the black star nor what they were about, but he could not have cared less. Money had been paid to hire a gun and he was simply pointed in the direction the owner wanted him to. Or at least that happened to be true, until they were just informed that all other parties had failed. A grin appeared on his face as he thought about what they could possibly face down there. He might have been a mere mercenary -though in this case assassin seemed to describe it better- but he was still a Saiya-Jin at the core and he loved a good fight above anything else. “Still it is inefficient, isn´t it?” He asked semi rhetoric as he finally moved and opened his eyes. Till now he had been sitting in one of the seats near the wall, arms crossed and head down, pretending to be asleep as he observed. “If this guy was truly so dangerous, we should simply destroy the entire planet from orbit. If there is something powerful down there, it will come out to stop us. If not… job done…” He said with a grin as he unfolded his arms and cracked his neck. The Saiya-Jin was not serious about it, yet it benefited him often if people believed him to be ruthless and not bound by any codes of morality. In truth Dain would never simply blow up a planet. He was in fact not a mass murderer by will -he would still do so for money though- and he knew from experience it would only blow up in their face. By destroying the planet they would create a martyr the universe had rarely seen. “However since we are doing this, let me get dressed for the party.” Dain said as his face grew serious, as he pressed a few buttons on the device attached to his arm and his signature black armor began to equip itself. Soon he was entirely covered by the high-tech Katchin armor. Albeit even Katchin had outlived it´s usefulness, he used the armor for other purposes. The one he was going for now was suppressed, warping and hiding his power level. Using several techniques, the AI embedded in his armor, effectively erased Dain´s signature. It allowed him to remain undetected and even if caught, nobody would recognize him. For all appearances, his signature was now much like a Namekian with a power level of a mere three thousand. “By the way my name is Dain Sincara, elite bounty hunter. I believe we have already met Kuueru. It is nice to meet you again.” Dain said, his voice much smoother, yet more electronic, as he raised a hand to the demoness. “As for the mission, may I suggest we appoint a mission leader? I agree, we are allies in this and should not try to run around like heroes. We are here to do a job and the most efficient way to achieve that is with a clear command structure.” He said as he crossed his arms and awaited the others response. Suddenly a cackle fills the room coming from the dark corner of the room.
"Quite an interesting group we have here. A captain who is also a demon, an android scientist who has power to match his intelligence, and a Saiyan mercenary who was hired to help kill some of his kind. But I haven't properly introduced myself, I am-"
The lights turned on in that part of the room revealing a young looking human with green skin and red eyes who then looks around awkwardly and turns around to see a squid like figure flicking a light switch on and tried to flick it back off.
"Morton, I told you to turn on the lights after I introduce myself!" Grey said.
"I was trying to find the light switch and I switched it off by accident. I can turn it off and we can start over." Morton said.
"No forget it the moment is ruined *ahem* sorry about that I was attempting to make an interesting first impression and my assistant made a mistake. I am Doctor Nikolas Grey, it is a pleasure to meet you all. Lady Kuuereu I heard great things about you, I even saw your work when they sent me the Great Ape corpses to study after that attack on Mitra. Your energy signature is unique which is why I was able to differ it from Polaris'. And Kaijin I heard great things from you, I wish I had your ability to go on days without end without having to eat or sleep and keep on working and doing experiment. Although I prefer keeping my flesh and blood." Dr. Grey said.
He then walked to the middle of the room in a clear space and tosses a Dynocap in the middle of it for a holo-projector to appear.
"And while I did notice you did you were doing your own research on Almus, but I have dug a little deeper before this mission. Morton, the file if you please." Dr. Grey said.
Morton went into a case of capsules and tossed one into Dr. Grey's hand. He pressed the button and instead of a drive to put into the projector he found an alien magazine with scantily dressed women with pointy ears and tentacle hair. Morton laughed nervously and took the magazine away from his hands and gave him the real one. Grey would have to discuss this lecherous behavior with Morton when he gets home. He puts the drive in showing a slide showing a file of Almus with a photo of him back when he was in the Galactic Patrol.
"You see the best way to know what you are up against is to know how their mind works, and luckily I managed to find out that Almus had some therapy sessions before he defected from the Galactic Patrol and it's restructuring into the First Galactic Empire. The therapist asked me to omit his name, but I managed to get some info on him. From what he told me Almus had a black and white way of viewing things, and viewed the Galactic Patrol as the ultimate source of good and law breakers and the like as evil. He was very dedicated to punish those who he thought evil, and he viewed Polaris as a role model. Then when Polaris became the Galactic Emperor and took control his views started to change and he joined the battle of Planet Pepper like I-CE said and that is when me and the therapist came to the conclusion the man's idealistic viewpoints were warped." Dr. Grey said.
He then changed the slide to a picture of a Black Star propaganda poster with Almus on it.
"The trauma from experiencing his comrades die at Planet Pepper against the hands of the Ultramarines was too much for his simple way of looking at things. And his former role model becoming emperor and didn't help. He came to not just hate the Galactic Empire, but all forms of government and viewed them each as corrupt as the criminals he captured. He isn't just you average every day well intentioned extremist, Almus would make sure his goals will be achieved even if he has to sacrifice his life and millions of others to do so. The man is ticking time bomb that could bring down a whole lot of people with him." Dr. Grey said.
He then changed the projector to the next slide showing the radio control tower.
"I-CE is correct that going in guns blazing and attacking on sight would not be wise, luckily I have a plan." Dr. Grey said.
He then went to something covered in a tarp, he took it off to reveal a transport full of spice canisters.
"They're expecting spice, so we will give them spice. Although inside each one is a surprise." Dr. Grey explained.
He then took a capsule out and spider legged robot with a single eye pops out.
"This is the Data Analysis Retrieval and Combat Evaluation Droid or D.A.R.C.E.D. for short. Not only is it made to collect samples for study it is also built with many weapons to fight strong opponents and gather the data from the fights to send back that I can use to make my creations stronger. It's brain is bio-organically engineered with some alterations. Of course it starts to act out I would know so from the video feed from it's robotic eye, and I will use this wrist communicator to send a simple message to sends a shock to it's brain to do so. Let me give you a demonstration, D.A.R.C.E.D. standby." Dr. Grey said.
The robot then went into a spherical mode and Dr. Grey put it back into a capsule and hidden it within one of the spice filled canisters.
"The plan is simple, we take the spice and bring it to where Almus is. You three, with the D.A.R.C.E.D. as back up would go to where Almus is and capture him and bring him back here. I'll stay here and monitor things, and I'll open a channel so we can talk during the mission. Oh by the way Kuueru and Dain, if you two lose any blood and the D.A.R.C.E.D. goes to take samples of it don't worry that's normal it's just following it's programming. Also you three would also need to wear disguises to look the part. Now, any questions before we begin?" Dr. Grey explained. Post Count: 1 Tags: Legume @dainsincaria Doctor Kaijin Vex Queen Kuueru

The four agents recruited by 1-CE all responded to the detailed description of their task in their own way. Commander Kuueru, the demoness who had been one of Emperor Polaris's closest allies throughout the Imperial-Saiyan War and its aftermath, did not show much emotion, seemingly immersed in thought. Her companion, on the other hand, the artificial lifeform known as Kaijin Vex rallied the rest for a motivating speech, calling for camaraderie in the face of such a dangerous threat - perhaps it would be surprising to see an android to express such emotion, but 1-CE knew very well that artificial intelligence is well past the point of advancement where it can simulate such complex emotional states. The Saiyan bounty hunter whom the AI recruited to bolster the ranks of the mission and include additional firepower in case it all goes south, going by Dain Sincara, reacted to the mission the same way she would have expected any Saiyan to do - by raising the point that the strategy is inefficient and simply destroying the planet from above would be more effective. And finally, Dr. Nikolas Grey, a fairly recent recruit to the ranks of the scientist corpus of the First Galactic Empire, whom 1-CE handpicked to provide any necessary scientific knowledge or useful gadgets, presented his own findings on Almus's backstory and psyche as well as crafted a basic plan for the mission, employing his combat drone to assist the operation. All seems fine, though the feminine Frost Demon intelligence opted to address the Saiyan's remarks before they finally land. " The Supreme Headquarters of the First Galactic Empire have considered the possibility of destroying Planet Liberty entirely, Dain Sincara, and after this consideration, our commanders have recommended to avoid such a solution." 1-CE spoke, her eyes in the hologram glancing towards the Saiyan. " Completely destroying the planet and exterminating all the hundreds of thousands of its current inhabitants will do us no good in the perception of the Empire's leadership among the masses. The last thing the people want is a return of tyrannical genocidal rule resembling the days of Lord Frieza - even our passed Emperor Polaris had never even considered the possibility of such a harsh action, either against rebellions or the Saiyan Dominion." Which was a lie. As the person closest to Polaris during his time as the Emperor of the Galaxy, having interacted with him every single day, 1-CE knew how his psyche worked and was well aware that Polaris always kept the possibility of planetary destruction for consideration, especially in the last months of the Imperial-Saiyan War, where she was starting to register that he was turning... unhinged. Someone who could very well end up leading a mass omnicide of all who dare defy him had he continued to sink further and further. Which, although 1-CE never expressed it, was what made her slightly glad that Polaris perished before he could put his increasingly sinister nature into practice. She had no desire to witness the number of organic lifeforms fit for social study dwindle. " And finally, though none of the other major players in the Galactic political scene express any goodwill for the Black Star movement, seeing the First Galactic Empire exterminate hundreds of thousands of its citizens would almost certainly be picked up by them as a propaganda piece. Slander against the Imperial regime continues even though open hostilities between the Empire and its foreign enemies have been put to a halt. This is one of the reasons why I would like you to limit the amount of destruction on Planet Liberty. If the Black Star unravels itself due to the loss of their charismatic leader and our interference is minimal, then that is an unquestionable victory for us. If the Black Star falls due to their members being systematically exterminated, then not so much." By this point, the pitch darkness of outer space outside the windows of the freighter have been changed with the light blue of the narrow and thin atmosphere of the planet, and not long after 1-CE concluded her explanation, a faint thud echoed across the halls of the spaceship, indicating that the vessel has finally touched down on the surface. Already, the sounds of footsteps and voices of all genders and ages could be heard on the other side of the ship's metal-clad chassis, indicating that it had touched down right next to the main camp, if not within it. " I wish you all good luck. Virtus unita fortior." With the motto of the First Galactic Empire as the last bit of encouragement, the hologram faded.
People who had gotten used to the splendor or modern technology of Earth, Abbayor, Arcose or Mitra, upon their first sight of the surface of Liberty, usually feel quite a shock. At first glance, Liberty did not seem like it had been touched by civilization at all. The camp, stretching for kilometers on end and holding hundreds of thousands of inhabitants, was composed of hastly constructed shacks and tents, each one chock full of inhabitants, while the "streets" - more resembling gaps between blobs of huts, really - were so full of people standing, chatting or going in every which direction that even the busiest boulevards on Abbayor wouldn't be able to scoff at them. And yet, things were happening. Things were working. People were active. There was an electricity generator here and there, shared by the community to charge any devices they might have brought to liberty. Some people were working on providing the others with clean water, others were sharing the food they grew in hydroponic farms, or sharing any information about the greater Galaxy they might have received. There was an air of hope and certainty, which the new arrivals might have noticed had they listened in to any of the conversations taking place. The people were living in poverty, yes, but for the first time in a long time, they were fighting for a purpose. For their freedom and everyone else's. Regardless, this is not what the four agents, upon being let out from the transport vessel straight into the thickness of Liberty, were here for. The leader of this commune had to be found and taken out before the revolutionary wave overwhelms the rest of the Empire. Somewhere. Somewhere in this mess. And if one were to look around, they might already tell a few possible options... The sound of weapons clashing, blasters and rifles firing, and grunts being exchange informed that the hole to the left of the team's landing spot, after a few blocks of huts and camps, was Planet Liberty's training grounds. It was here where the combat adept members of the Black Star - be it former Imperials, Saiyans, Earthling soldiers or independent martial artists - honed their skills in preparation for the crusade of liberation against all who dare to stand in the way of the Black Star Revolution. It is known that Almus, even if not exactly a powerful warrior himself, was a former Patrolman and a veteran of Gadon's rebellion. Perhaps he might be there, honing his skills and practicing alongside his followers? To the far right of the landing spot of the freighter was perhaps the densest area of the camp. This was what you might call the "market", or the "town square" of the camp - although there was no business or money-making involved, the people here arrived to free themselves from the corruption of the coin, not immerse in it. It was in the market where people distributed goods and produces among each other, either sharing what they had grown or exchanging them for other goods which they might deem necessary. A few citizens were patrolling to make sure that nobody is trying to take advantage of anyone else or hoard too many goods for themselves. It is known that Almus is a gifted and charismatic public speaker and that this is the most densely packed part of the camp. Perhaps he might be there, giving speeches to his followers and rousing their morale? The radio tower, extending about thirty meters to the sky, was the most visible landmark across the entire camp. Constructed not long after the Black Star landed on the surface of Liberty, it serves as the organization's window to civilization. Through it, the Black Star accesses the Galactic Hypernet, employing a team of hackers and computer engineers to get around Imperial filters and censoring systems to spread their message across the entire Galaxy. It is also how it receives information about what happens elsewhere and plans their strike southward accordingly. It is known that Almus, like the rest of Black Star members, use Hypernet messages to make themselves known to the society of the Empire. Perhaps he might be there, recording a new message to be broadcasted outward? (1474 words, total 3364) Queen Kuueru Doctor Kaijin Vex Dain Sincara doctorgrey

ICE COLD As time went on, the oblivious Kuueru continued to be deep in her myriad of thoughts. If not for Kaijin or the others speaking up, one could only guess how long the demoness could have silently observed. Tired amethyst eyes focused on Doctor Kaijin, his voice as smooth as always. Everyone had their piece to say; even an unfamiliar face came up with an elaborate plan; this man introduced himself as Doctor Gray, and presumably he already knew of Kuueru from the corpses she left behind. Those two weren't the only ones who recognized the demoness. An idle man who seemed to slumber suddenly awoke and gave his thoughts and introductions as well. He seemed harsh in his methods, but Kuueru could note he was purely jesting about blowing up the entirety of Liberty; at least, she had hoped so. He introduced himself as Dain, a name she recollected from the invasion attempt on Mitra. She hadn't seen the man's face before, perhaps that's why she only recognized him once his armor was all but on.So, the doctors in the room had insight into the Black Star; her own research had left her with about the same amount of intel. Being of higher ranking stature in the First Galactic Empire had its perks; briefing and abundant resource banks were a few to name. The freighter grew closer and closer to the orb of a backwater planet; the demoness plotted her own course of action. Clearly, by everyone in the room recognizing her by appearance, it was time to display another disguise. "It's good to see you all again," Kuueru offered a single sentence to the ambush of introductions. Then, the pink haired demoness shifted from view, in her place was raven waves that were her hair. Her skin was pale, her eyes like two light colors emeralds in her skull. In lieu of her rustic tunics and shorts, was a burgundy uniform that covered her from the neck down. She almost resembled a pilot or mechanic in such an outfit, but it was far from anything that would identify her as a commander in the Empire. Finally, she suppressed her power; she wanted to fly as low on the radar of a 'spice' trader as possible. Waltzing around with an enormous power chode was not ideal.
"Well then, whatever plans you have worked up had better work. I'm not about to waste my time failing a mission for anyone to collect data or specimens. That much is for damn sure," Kuueru glared about the room, her frame shifting as she sauntered towards the exit of the ship. That was her first sight of Liberty. It was just as described, a budding civilization at best. There was a plethora of options laid out. A bountiful marketplace where the word of mouth may lead them towards their 'treasure. A radio tower, a place of importance and one where Almus may be holding up to preach to the masses. Finally, the sounds of metal on metal, grunts, and gunfire filled her ears. A training arena no doubt. "Seems that we have to get some leads somehow or another," Kuueru mumbled to the others as the raven-haired demoness stepped onto the dust riddled streets. Her hands dug into her hips, her cold eyes shifting to examine the options before turning to face the group if they had finally decided to disembark as well. She valued opinions, especially intelligent ones like those of her friend Kaijin.

Dain merely shook his head at the man´s plans. In truth they were good plans, but they did not include his pride. He would rather do something unspeakable to himself, then hide in a damn crypt spider. Luckily for him the AI spoke up and he managed to focus on that. Although he merely stood there, listening to the words itself, rather then react. Once again the AI made sense and it was a feeling he shared. He simply did not need others to know that he knew better. Perhaps a simple ruse, but an effective one he had found. Pretending to be way more violent then he actually was. “Okay…” He merely responded, letting his voice trail of. At the same time though, Peet -the AI in his suit, an extension of Petey, the AI in his warship- finally managed to make direct contact with 1-CE. Limited by the suits hardware she had struggled to find an open port. “Hi 1-CE. This is Peet. It is my pleasure to meet you. In any case, aside from any Intel you can share, I think I should point out that your speech is irrelevant. If my master really wanted to, he would do so. The fact that he equipped his suit means he will follow instructions. Anyway I have analyzed the situation and don´t understand the course of action. Even if you eliminate the leadership, the seconds or thirds in command will take over. It might eventually lead into the collapse of the organization, but it would take many years. Not to mention, history indicates severe reactions if a leadership is taken. Don´t you think he would still be a martyr if he was taken or killed by our forces? By my calculations a systematic sabotage would have worked better. Destroy their food sources, blow up or poison their water supplies. Use subterfuge to create an element of intrusion, divide their ranks on the planet. That and a whole lot more info, along with thousands of examples, where send to the AI in a fraction of a microsecond. Of course Dain could not process that much data as quickly as an AI, but due to the chip implanted directly in his brain he could in a few seconds. Picking up the speech of his AI, as it was connected to him. It was a mere benefit, or in this case downside -so much info at once tended to give him migraines- of the memory chip he had installed. That was the trouble with an infinite life and a finite brain. Memories tended to fade quicker then he could make them. The chip helped him store them in his ships data banks. The direct connection to his suit/AI a mere side affect. `Peet, shut the fuck up! It is irrelevant.´ He thought angrily as he rubbed his temples, or rather the armor covering them. Luckily they were just about to land and Dain noticed the scenery and something else. “Good idea.” He said emotionless, yet with a small nod to Kuueru, as he witnessed her transformation. It would probably not be a good idea to walk out covered in black Katchin battle armor. With a few pushes of the buttons located on his arm. The armor had a final trick, a holographic projection made out of hard light. It would only last a handful of hours, but for a while he would appear as a traveling soldier. He was wearing camo pants, a battered body armor and two guns on his back. “Hmm… not bad.” Dain noted as he looked over the disguised picked by Petey. As soon as they landed, following the familiar demon. The moment he set foot outside all the hairs on his body stood up simultaneously as he expanded his senses and the AI fed him the rest of the information. “Okay the first who suggests we should split up, I will shove my sword… well gun now I guess… so far up their ass I´ll be able to fire at our enemies through their mouths.” He said loud enough for the group to hear them. He did not care about multiple leads, they had enough time to check all of them one by one. “Anyone can make an educated guess where we should go first?”Post Count: 1 LegumedoctorgreyQueen Kuueru

Post by Doctor Kaijin Vex on Jan 16, 2019 22:24:11 GMT -5
It was a decent idea. However, it was an incomplete one.
From his position by the viewport, Kaijin listened to Doctor Nikolas Grey as he laid out his course of action. His analysis on Almus was admirable, and he figured if anyone was to, it was that man, with Kaijin himself being frankly too busy to go to the lengths that Grey went to acquire the amount of information he did. These days, it seemed everything that showed up in his workspace these days was an emergency.
Alas, back to business.
"A doable strategy, but missing several key components. We cannot do anything with your creation, or with Almus, if we cannot find him. However, the guise of spice traders will serve us well. Once we land on Planet Liberty, we will be entering a field in which we are unfamiliar with. A shantytown revolving around the Black Star organization, with a culture of its' own. If we are to infiltrate, we must not attract attention. Especially us." Kaijin said, aiming the last part of that statement to Kuueru, his red eyes focusing on the woman. Kuueru was a longstanding commander of the Galactic Empire, and given how well known she was within this ship alone, who knew how quick it would take for others to recognize her. Plastered over Galactic Hypernet channels across the galaxy, or in files within some Imperial officer's desk cabinets, it mattered not. Kaijin was no shadow operative either. Even though his tenure within the First Galactic Empire had been rather short, his rather swift ascension to the top rankings of the hierarchy had put him at the head of quite a few news articles, announcing his appointment as Chief Scientist, along with a few select press conferences in which the Android discussed the biggest threats to scientific development galaxy-wide in the modern era. While both subjects were not interesting in the least, his face was out there, and there was always the risk that one might recognize them. Out of all them, Dain Sincara probably had the safest neutral position, given his introduction as a bounty hunter. He worked for his money, and thus had no official affiliations to attach him to.
The rest of them, held no such luck in such a situation.
Kaijin muttered something unintelligible under his breath as he reached into his pants pocket, taking out a small handheld device. Holographic Disguise Technology. A similar variant to the ones that he had installed into his Riot Soldiers, the artificial creations that he had completed only a few weeks prior to the public outbreak of Black Star. Although, unlike the ones within his Riot Soldiers, this one was detachable, given that Kaijin had little intent to install the device into his own hardware. Attaching it to his chest, the Android fiddled with a few buttons before his appearance shifted.
The alabaster colored skin was the only recognizable aspect that Kaijin maintained. His trademark, blood red eyes had shifted to an uncanny golden, supported by short cut, messy black hair. His clothing had morphed into black combat boots, with matching black pants, along with a navy blue overcoat. A few scuffs of dirt and grime here and there, along with a few choice stains across the jacket served to at least keep away from the "pristine" level of cleanliness, while also not alluding to homelessness.
As the vessel moved to land, the ever alluring motto of the Galactic Empire rang in his head, a constant reminder of what rode on this mission.
Virtus unita fortior.
With the majority of his time spent floating between Hollow, Abbayor and Tech Tech, Kaijin had become quite accustomed to urban centers and technological marvels. The Tech Tech species boasted large biodomes filled with bustling artificial atmospheres, and skyscrapers extending as far as the eye can see. Every day a new device released to the public. Abbayor, a bustling metropolis, a center of galactic commerce and trade. A planet ushered into a golden age, if one could ever believe such ages existed. Even Hollow, while not dependent on technology boasted more than....this.
It was bare. Uncomfortably bare for a man who constantly surrounded himself with technology. Shantytowns dotted his vision, hastily made shacks with a function to support life and provide shelter, little more. In the distance, rifles blasted off and the grunts and groans of men and women filled his auditory sensors. A radio tower in the distance, and the main streets and marketplace laid out before them. Looking briefly to Kuueru, the Android smiled a moment before speaking.
"While Dain Sincara's delivery was rather...crude and unnecessary, he is correct in the barest of senses. Splitting up would not be wise in enemy territory. However, I would also suggest spreading out enough so that we are not sandwiched together when we move. We are not to draw attention...and nothing draws attention like tightly packed groups of individuals, eyes flitted about as if they know they don't belong, and want everyone to know as well.." The good doctor mentioned, his near emotionless, soft toned drawl not supporting the sarcastic tone that his statement was supposed to carry.
"That being said, the marketplace is an optimal place to start. It boasts a large amount of traffic, and allows us to conceal ourselves within crowds, blending in with the Black Star civilians. From there, we can see what information we can glean, before moving on. The training grounds in the distance, as well as the radio station are viable options as well, but are more likely to be less open to the greater public, and thus harder to infiltrate. I would rather not risk it so early in the game, unless we need to."Post Count: 2 | Dain Sincara | Legume | doctorgrey | Queen Kuueru

Thankfully the well programmed AI was able to tell the Saiyan why destroying the planet was a horrible idea. Of course killing everyone there was a bad idea that was exactly what he came to the conclusion to as well to make this plan. Even his own suit's AI agreed with him and offered some extra insight. Indeed killing him would also make him look better. Which is why they need to capture him and bring him back alive.
"Thank you Dr. Kaijin, and yes the plan has holes but the intel on Liberty is limited so this will be a learning experience for all of us. I made this plan for the purpose of allowing few casualties and a more careful stealthy approach, and Dain's AI Peetalso brings some good points. Which is why we need to bring back Almus alive and detain into a maximum security prison, not just so he wouldn't become a martyr. Because then whoever leads in his place would want to free their leader and could set up a trap to capture them. Turning his own charisma that allowed him to get so many loyal followers against him." Dr. Grey explained.
He then watched as everyone put on their disguises. Kuueru manages to shapeshift into a beautiful human woman, Dr. Kaijin and Dain both use some kind of holographic disguise.
"Unfortunately I won't be joining you all, luckily with some inventions of mine I will still be able to contact you all and see what is happening." Dr. Grey said.
He reached into his pockets and got out what looked like tiny specks in his hand, he got out a modified magnifying glass to show that they are in fact nanobots designed to look like tiny insects.
"These nanomites will be hidden on each of you, allowing me to communicate with you all and show me a video feed while you are all hunting for Almus. Good luck to you all, oh and one more thing. When you give the signal to me to activate the D.A.R.C.E.D's please cover your faces. The spice from the spice jars is very irritating to the eyes and nose, and once they come out of their capsules the spice containers would burst and a cloud of it will spread every. Believe me I tested it, and learned the hard way." Dr. Grey said.
The six Nanomites split and two each crawled onto the group that would be heading out. One would hide in their hair or another inconspicuous spot, while another hid in the ear to send vocal messages. As they walked out Dr. Grey waved them goodbye and put on a headset that would allow him to hear his comrades and speak to them through his Nano mites.Morton was just finished plugging up the monitor set up to a portable generator. With that finished Dr. Grey got a capsule box from one of his pockets labeled "Furniture" and tossed the Dynocap which turns into a couch.
"Using Dynocaps makes me feel nostalgic for the old days of working at Capsule Corp. I even created designs for a Dynocap that can keep living beings inside. Yet they said it would be abused for human trafficking and such which was true. I tried to plug the project again only this time having these cute little fluffy critters I bio-engineered to put inside as pets. They were made to be the perfect pet and even their look was marketable, they could've made a fortune off of that idea. But no they said that bio-engineering is morally wrong and that I shouldn't play Kami well who is laughing now Tucker from marketing?!" Dr. Grey monologued not realizing that the rest of team can hear him cause he turned the headset on when he put it on.
He awkwardly coughed and said "I do apologize for that unprofessionalism, I am still bitter about that so I'll focus more on the the mission at hand."
Planet Liberty's surface was not quite what he expected. For something that many people died on to stop Black Star he expected more security and more weaponry. Hell he expected more advanced equipment then this. It looks like the slums of a post apocalyptic Earth town. He's starting to question how Black Star could even be a threat to them or is it their sheer number rather then what power some members have. If they have any noteworthy individuals with substantial power levels, but he is not ruling that out.
It appears they were at a crossroads and had to choose from three areas to choose from. I-CE said Almus' power level was not very high so he doesn't seem to be the type to train so he must not be at the arena which leaves the radio tower or the market place. He was going to suggest one of them to split off from the group to check both places and Dr. Grey can alert the other person when they found Almus. That is until Dain suggested violently why he dislikes such an idea. And to not earn a Super Saiyan's ire he decided to not suggest that idea.
"Dr. Kaijin's plan is the best course of action. If we can't find Almus there we would find people who will, plus your disguises as Spice Traders would fit the best in the marketplace." Dr.Grey advised.

Even the stronghold of an anti systemic rebellion needs to feed itself, arm itself and clothe itself. This is the reason why the market on the surface of Planet Liberty eventually came to be - however, it was only a "market" in the most superficial sense of the term. Indeed, there was no money being exchanged anywhere across the surface of the entire planet, and anyone who tried to use, say, Imperial Credits or Earth Zeni to pay for services or produces would at best be met with odd looks and at worst denounced as a traitor to the cause. The concept of monetary exchange had been denounced by the Black Star long ago, as a tool which corrupts the hearts of men and women, the oil which maintains the oppressive culture of modern degenerate society across the entire Galaxy. It makes people see each other not as comrades in arms and peace alike, but as something to be exploited for personal gain. Instead, the "market" of Planet Liberty served as a way for the comrades of the organization to share what they had acquired for those who are in need, whether it was food, weapons, ammunition or resources to produce something for others. The group of "spice traders" making their way across the crowded street and finally entering the market would see numerous such exchanges take around them. On one side, an Abbayorian in a ragged Imperial Patrol uniform with the insignia ripped off was exchanging a few blasters he had gotten hold of during a raid on an Imperial outpost for a service of food. On the other side, a Saiyan former member of the Dominion military was offering some in vitro meat he had grown in one of the camp's hydroponic farms in exchange for more ammunition for his blaster as well as some local made protein shakes. The people who weren't here to trade were usually chatting about one thing or another, but most of them had been gathered around a wooden podium at the end of the plaza. A person was standing atop of it and speaking - however, he did not bear the lush and messy white hair which 1-CE presented to the four agents before their landing. Hell, it was not even a man. " Comrades, the final hour is at hand!" the rich voice of Sasha Qui flooded the plaza, the woman following up her words with plenty of visual expressions such as clenching her first and waving it across the air - after all, her superior was able to rally the crowd with much of the same. Once a Galactic Patrolwoman much like Almus, she had served in the Earth Regional Headquarters of the organization at the time of the foundation of the Empire, barely managed to escape the slaughter and infighting there, and eventually ended up among the Black Star, where she serves as one of the organization's leader's second in commands. " The plan for the final strike against the hive of corruption in Abbayor has been approved, and within weeks, we shall descend upon that doomed, unsalvageable world and show no mercy! Exhausted by the oppression of the First Galactic Empire and the destruction of their homes as mere toys aty the hands of the Empire and the Dominion, thousands on the surface will join our ranks, and those who dare resist will see their end for betraying the utopia this Galaxy deserves! With Abbayor fallen, the rest of the Empire shall fall, and with it, the entire Galaxy will be overwhelmed by the armies of the Black Star! Comrades! In this moment, I request all of you to devote all you can to make sure that victory falls to our hands! Those who are assigned to manning the fleet and fighting on the surface, continue your preparations! Those who are assigned to supplying us all, we need your efforts more than ever!
And remember... We do this for your freedom much like we do for ours." The speech was followed by ovation and cheers, although those who might have listened in the conversations which followed would tell that not everyone was on board. " Black Star armies? Conquest of the whole Galaxy? I thought we are here to just get the Empire off our backs and build up a society without oppression?" one of the spectators muttered to his peer who replied: " Yeah, that was Tarno, I think, one of the second-in-commands just like Sassha. He wants to just build a society of free communes in this corner of the galaxy, I think, but Sasha thinks that's not enough. I don't know, it's complicated..." " I guess... Neither one of them are really important though, right? Almus knows what our goals are. They're just interpreting them differently." " Right. He knows what path we should take." ICE COLD Following the demoness's own disguise, two others in the group decided to follow suit. Kaijin wore something that almost resembled his outfit during a Kabocha mission, Dain shifted to something a bit more mercenary-y. Alas, it seemed that the other young doctor decided to remain behind on the freighter while the rest of the group disembarked and began to explore a bit. According to Kaijin, he seemed to calculate that the marketplace would be the best place of searching. Kuueru nodded, and since splitting up right now wasn't the best course of action, this was their choice. As soon as Kuueru turned her back and began making her way through the tightknit streets of the trading market, she heard a commotion up ahead. Her bright green eyes focused on the woman's voice. She spoke of uprooting the Empire and a timeline to do such. There was a bit of mixed opinions amongst the crowd, but most seemed in favor of usurping the Imperial powers. Kuueru folded her hands over her chest, now far enough away from the rest of the group to blend in amongst the crowd as a solo merchant. Within her pocket she whipped up a spell, materializing a small firearm as well as a few smoke grenades. She approached one of the vendors and set the items upon the tabletop as the merchant behind eyed them. "What are you looking for?" He barked through a few missing teeth. "I could use a small battle shield generator. Something to give me some cover." Kuueru paused, her head nodding towards the direction of the former speaker. "Say, I'm new on Liberty, how long have these people been planning an attack on the Empire? It's a pretty bold move, but one needed. Also, do you know anything about that Almus character? Part of me seeing his broadcasts brought me here to trade."

Without any vocal agreement to his course of action from anyone who wasn't in a lounge chair back in the ship, Kaijin decided it best to assume that his course of action was the one being taken, and that spread out reasonably amongst the marketplace would prove more beneficial than non. Thankfully, as he proceeded forward, his assumption only proved correct as the others followed him into the rather large marketplace.
It was quite the scene. As expected, civilians flooded the scene. Rough and tumble rebels forced to abandon the comforts of their normal lives to fight for a cause they believed in, and thus forced to live off the land. In their revolution, they seemed to cast aside nearly every facet of their previous allegiance, in which even the use of galactic currency wasn't in practice, the Android noticing with piqued interest as traders resorted back to the barter system, a form of trade that had quickly become obsolete with the establishment of civilization and the construction of what was to be the basis for modern societal norms and standards by thousands of species across the stars during their individual histories. However, while it was rarely practiced in today's day and age, the barter system always remained in the dark corner of the mind, if only to call upon during some idle discussion.
But here?
It made sense ultimately. A radical organization seeking the destruction of all semblance of order, simply so their people could be free and confused without any plan for leadership or proceeding afterwords, with a broken galaxy in tow. Throwing galactic currency to the wind in favor of simply giving and receiving goods suited the rebels nicely. Once he had separated from the remainder of his teammates, the term "separate" being used in a rather loose sense since he could still detect them all within the range of his built in scouter. Well, perhaps all but Doctor Grey, but he was shut within the safety of the ship anyway. Such an afterthought reminded Kaijin to crush that nanite hiding within his ear if the other scientist mentioned "Tucker" from marketing one more time. Obviously, Grey held a great deal of resentment for poor Tucker, but Kaijin frankly couldn't give a damn.
As he approached the mass of bodies gathering over at the plaza, Kaijin couldn't help but hear the loud, boisterous voice of Sasha Qui over the cheering masses. Immediately assimilating into the crowd, Kaijin joined the cheering with some polite clapping as a way of easing himself into what seemed to be a speech. Even a quick glance at the speaker indicated it wasn't Almus, based on the mission dossier he saved to his databanks about the team's mutual quarry. However, if the woman was trusted enough to inspire the public, she had to be one of Almus's closer compatriots.
Like a snake in sheep's clothing, Kaijin kept a small smile of approval plastered on his face while disgust wormed its' way through the Android's internal energy processors. Was this the divisive, short minded drivel that had inspired so many to join this so called Black Star? A promise of endless carnage descending upon multiple governments, burning entire cities for the so called faults of a few? Yet at the same time claiming to be better than the factions who they accuse of doing the same? As much as Kaijin had his internal desires to be an organic, he couldn't help but shake his head at the foolishness of it all. Had organics looked past their trivial differences and united under a single flag, then progress would be made so much quicker. However, rarely was there a point when organics could agree on anything, or look past themselves to see the bigger picture.
Only when a knife was at their throat did they realize.
As Sasha concluded her speech, which to Kaijin was about as fascinating as the ravings of a mad woman in the lower sectors of Abbayor, the man saw it fit to cheer and clap like the rest. But even while doing so, something caught his ear.
"Black Star armies? Conquest of the whole Galaxy? I thought we are here to just get the Empire off our backs and build up a society without oppression?"
"Yeah, that was Tarno, I think, one of the second-in-commands just like Sassha. He wants to just build a society of free communes in this corner of the galaxy, I think, but Sasha thinks that's not enough. I don't know, it's complicated..."
"I guess... Neither one of them are really important though, right? Almus knows what our goals are. They're just interpreting them differently."
"Right. He knows what path we should take."
Oh, what was this?
It was complicated, huh? No, in fact the situation was quite clear. The woman, Sasha apparently, who had preached the gospel of the Black Star before them, riling up the crowds with her radical propaganda....had ideals differing from this Tarno individual. Both were second in command to Almus. And better yet, both Tarno and Sasha held view that differed from Almus. While the two individuals in which Kaijin had eavesdropped on saw nothing of importance from such inconsistencies, the Android wasn't so easily duped. He would have expected such deviation if perhaps this Sasha or Tarno were some low leveled officers assigned to propaganda by some other commanding officers, so low in the food chain that they never got the chance to meet Almus since enlisting. But no, these two held nearly as much authority as the big kahuna himself.
If something as simple as agreeing on a goal and course of action for the galaxy led to so much variance and disagreement, then how fragile was Black Star truly. It also made their job that much more important. The masses, the soldiers, even the officers of Black Star, they were all depending on Almus for stability. Even if his officers were bumbling messes, unable to agree...no...because his officers were bumbling messes, unable to agree on a single goal, that made people depend on Almus all the more. A single man was the rock of this operation. The shadow behind it all. While the Galactic Empire had all intent to topple the entire system and the hierarchy systematically, this simple conversation made the effect of a successful mission all the more crushing.
Black Star was a house of cards. And Almus was the card that would cause the rest of the house to collapse if stripped from the equation. They had to take Almus out of the equation. Kaijin's eyes followed Sasha Qui as she left the podium, intent on seeing exactly where she would go next.

Dr. Grey hoped he didn't come across as needlessly petty with that Tucker outburst. He really wants to become an acquaintance to Doctor Kaijin Vex and he was hoping to make good first impressions. The Android could become the second person he could consider a friend in the empire next to Morton. Although his relationship with Morton is more complicated than being a friend or an assistant, it's more so Morton is dragged along to help make Dr. Grey make science and he feels safest near Dr. Grey since he prevented the other doctors from dissecting him when he worked in the Neo Red Ribbon army and that he saved him from his crashed spaceship and would've died if trapped in there for too long as the stasis chamber Morton was in was running out of power. He also needs to talk to Dr. Kaijin about what he found out about the Chronos Organization.
And it seems that Black Star is more backwards then he thought. A trading system, how very archaic and also flawed. There is a reason that the trading system failed, mostly cause people can't agree upon how the value one or more objects. Although he course through Kuueru Nanomite camera notices the weapons and other tech that the Black Star have and are trading. So that's how they get their weapons, when they leave their government they loot weapons to bring to Planet Liberty to support Black Star.
And Kaijin managed to spot Sasha Qui giving a speech, another Galactic Empire deserter who joined Black Star. She seems a lot more violent and take action then Almus and it seems that they plan on attacking Abbayor while they are rebuilding the damage in a few weeks. And from the convos he picked up it seems not only is she a high ranking member, she and another one have different views on what the Black Star means. So even his people hand picked right hands don't fully understand his goals, this society is doomed to fail if they ever succeed. There needs to be a leader and a government to keep things in line and in order. However, this info shows that without Almus they would be even more helpless without him then he thought which means they won't have to use his prison trap plan after all if Sasha and Tarno destroy the organization themselves through in fighting.
"Now Dain, you need to make sure no to stand out. Try offering some of the spice in the canisters for trades to help blend in more." Dr. Grey suggested.
Saiyans were usually a stubborn bunch and this one was already quite quick to anger. However, he is a mercenary that they paid to help them so he should do what they want him to as per their agreement for paying them. With that out of the way Grey continued watching through the three video screens to see any signs of Almus among the crowd. It was a difficult task, like playing Where's Waldo with three different books at the same time. Nothing Grey couldn't handle though as he took a sip from a cold cola that Morton handed to him while Morton drunk from a juice box and watched the monitor together as if they were two friends watching a sports activity together.Post Count: 3 Tags: Legume , Queen Kuueru , Doctor Kaijin Vex , Dain Sincara

“Sorry can´t do that I am afraid. I would love to, but I am posing as a soldier, not a trader. It would look too weird if I started trading spice. Sorry doctor.” Dain replied a bit stiffly, but not without meaning it. The doctor was the only one who seemed to have a plan and although Dain was not cut out for the role as trader, while wearing two guns and armor, he did respect that. As they were going to the Market they only found the lieutenant, a second in command or such. The display was automatically updated by Peet, yet there was something else that drew his attention more. That radio tower. Dain was very well aware they were not supposed to destroy it, but from what he got from the mission briefing, the thing was damn important. He tilted his head slightly to look at it better, while keeping an eye on Kuueru. She was doing a good job of blending in, though he slightly bit his tongue as she mentioned the word trade. Perhaps it was because he had been a soldier on the front lines for a long time, but he did realize the situation they were in. People who lived like this did not `trade´ so much, as help each other. You can´t trade if you have nothing, but the shirt on your back and hope as currency. Still she was smart enough to use something far more valuable for something that made sense, which was rather impressive. A smile played over his face as he watched her act. Vex on the other hand seemed to have noticed the Luitenant as well and Dain wondered if he was thinking the same thing as he was. Well to be honest he was considering several options, though the two dominant ones were either to follow Sasha, hope she would lead them to Almus. Or capture her and force the answer out of her. Both were messy though and did not guarantee success. Then Dain had an idea. There was another member of the team. “Doctor Grey, is it not?” He spoke softly, hoping those nanites the man had mentioned were working. “Is there any chance you can adapt your nanites or create new one on the fly that would allow us to hack that radio tower? I want to destroy it, without any actual destruction. Just hack it and render it useless. Could nanites be used to eat certain wires or let´s say the main components, without actually leaving a trace?” Dain asked as he tilted his head some more. The destruction of the post would be beneficial to their cause, even if they could rebuild it, it would at the very least disable Almus from sending messages or asking for reinforcements. There was another benefit though, one he was mostly after. “If I granted you direct access to the tower, could you hack it and possibly find out where this Almus is? I would presume he would be one of the few people who´d have a direct connection to the tower.” Dain asked the final question with a slight grin, as he turned away from the tower. Once more he observed the mass and strangely he found himself once more able to identify with them. Or at least a part of him who remembered him being in the same situation. Yet it also made him more determined to finish the mission, without harming these people. They were mere `soldiers´ in a grander plan this Almus was playing. Merely led here by something called hope. Soldiers… The thought suddenly hit him. It would be the one thing Almus would need the most and the three of them were capable fighters. “Could we not simply post as soldiers, prove to be an asset and take it from there? With our skills we should be able to make an impression, which means either we´d be taken to Almus or taken somewhere for closer inspection. Either way we´d move out from the masses and a step closer to our target.” Dain said softly, hoping the other could hear him. He was usually not one to plan stuff, but he did appreciate it if people in a team talked and worked together. It was the whole point of having a strike team. He knew it was a bit much to ask for a rag tag team barely put together, but if everyone was going to do his own thing, so was he. As he thought it his hand automatically reached for the butt of one of the guns and he began fidgeting with it nervously. Post Count: 3 LegumedoctorgreyQueen KuueruDoctor Kaijin Vex

Upon hearing the spice trader barrage him with questions, the merchant raised his eyebrow, clearly confused at her wanting to know so much and yet also knowing so little. Accepting the woman's offer of a small firearm and spoke grenades and pulling out an old, already once used shield generator from the crate next to his feet - after some burrowing through and searching, that is - the merchant spoke: " You're an odd specimen, girl. Most of the people who come 'ere after seeing Almus's broadcasts already know who he is and what we're up to. Last I recall, we've all been thinking about taking the fight to the brutal Imperials to the south as long as we've set up base here. And if the veterans are to be believed, then well beyond that too. But we've only had enough comrades join us to make it reality when that bastard in Abbayor finally died." Faced with the question on what he knows about Almus specifically, however, the salesman stumbled for a little bit, not sure how to respond. He eventually managed to come up with an answer, however: " Well, to be honest, girl, I don't really know much about 'im. I think he's from the Patrol or something like that? I did get to see him face to face, though, and it was amazing. It felt like he was speaking to me personally, and yet to all of us at once. Completely different from Polaris, Radia or what have you. They only speak to themselves, basking in their glory and wealth while yeomen like me and you suffer under their boot. But Almus is down to earth and one of us, y'know?
I'm not sure where he is, though. Definitely not in the market though. All of us woulda definitely been out there listening, not doing our own thing." Sasha could never claim to have the speaking ability of her superior. She had always been a woman of action, not of words. Not that she was completely asocial or anything like that, it's just that out of the two, Almus was the better orator and ideologist, it came from his natural ability. However, seeing the people of the organization who had come to witness her message applaud and cheer nevertheless stirred something in her. Maybe joining the Black Star was not going to be as useless as she might have initially imagined. Stepping down from the podium as the crowd before it started to disperse, Sasha was met with an escort of uniformed and armed comrades, her personal guard. Out of all of the notable leaders in the Black Star, she was the only one to build up a personal unit, rather than relying on the will of the people to defend her from any assailants - all of them were either her former allies in the Earth HQ who chose to join the Black Star alongside her, or other former Imperial defectors whom she had recruited to her ranks. " Stellar speech, Miss Qui." one of the soldiers spoke after the woman and the uniformed revolutionaries exchanged salutes. " It was just a simple status update, nothing to fawn over." Sasha replied, placing her hands on her hips as she glanced towards the market before her. " I had been afraid that the rhetoric would turn the people away... but they ate it up regardless. Either they consider my ideas to be in greater regard than I anticipated, or they all are a flock of mindless sheep." " It is possible they could be both." an another soldier commented. A slight smirk formed on Sasha's face. " Which would be good news. Sheep are easy to control. Unfortunately, Almus still thinks-" The Xeno woman suddenly stopped once her eyes caught the glimpse of a man with bleached white skin following her with his eyes. " Miss Qui, is something wrong?" " Nothing at all..." Sasha muttered underneath her breath, then turned towards her followers. " Say, there was something about being needed for a radio message that we about earlier today, right?" " I... believe so? Don't quote me, though, Miss Qui." " Good. Very good. We're going there. Immediately." Dr. Grey's bots continued scanning the entire trading district during and after Sasha Qui's speech, the small robots zooming in and out causing a little bit of suspicion among some of the people in the bazaar, but not enough for anyone to try to point them out or even give more than a passing glance. However, every single one of the scans, no matter what method was being used to collect information, would yield negative results. It seems that you could find almost anyone and anything in this shopping district, but for whatever reason, Almus was simply not here. Nowhere in the whole bazaar could you find his familiar light messy hair. If he is on Planet Liberty, then he is clearly currently somewhere else. While Grey's searches for Almus in the crowd proved fruitless, he thought about how him and Sasha both look extremely human despite being extraterrestrials. Saiyans look human too but at least with their pure black eyes, spiky black hair, monkey like tails, ability to turn into a great ape at the full moon, and able to make their hair turn gold and become stronger. Those telltale signs could easily tell apart Saiyans from humans, and he is yet to find out how one becomes a Super Saiyan. Of course while they look the same on the outside inside is another story, maybe when they capture Almus he could torture him by performing surgery on him while he is concious and forced to watch. Just thinking about doing that makes him smirk and giggle at the thought of this mighty leader's horrified look as he watches his own body be cut open.
Also Dain decided not to trade any spice and pose as a soldier, while it fits his disguise there is a problem.
"Someone needs to be attending the spice and trade from it so it doesn't look suspicious for there being unattended spice containers! The capsules I put in some of them are buried deep in there, but if a guard decides to investigate them they could end up fighting one, and if they open the capsule and find a strange orb shaped robot they would get very suspicious." Dr. Grey advised.
However, Dain the Saiyan mercenary surprisingly comes up with a very good suggestion for a plan. Something he wish he thought about, perhaps Saiyans aren't as simple minded with one track mind's focusing on fighting as he thought.
"Excellent idea Dain, so great in fact maybe I ought to give you some extra payment from my own pockets after this is over. Unfortunately my nanomites can't fly and they don't have the ability to hack into the radio tower, but I can make something that can." Dr. Grey explained.
After saying that he got up and got some dynocaps out. One contained a work desk, one contained nanoparts to build the nanite he requires, and another contains his tools. He kept a lot of his Dynocaps from working with Capsule Corp, and Red Ribbon. He does know how to make Dynocaps and he could, however due to Capsule Corp's patent on them and making sure it never expires he would be unable to sell it or produce them to give to the people for free without facing legal repercussions. They certainly are useful for easily storing items and bringing them around. He could make a new lab out of this empty spice storage room with the Dynocaps he has.
After some careful work he finished his new creation which he dubs the Nano Beetle. It has a more beetle like appearance with wings and metallic pincers in it's "mouth" that resemble that out of stag beetle's. He gently strokes the nanite with one of his fingers and he let it fly towards it's destination. If he can hack into the radio tower, not only can they find Almus, but they can distract Black Star and perhaps even delay the Abbayor attack. And without them spreading their propaganda for a while less people would be willing to join Black Star.
He can only hope now that his precious little bug bot can reach it's destination. And that the rest of the team will continue to remain incognito and not raise anymore suspicion. Kuueru already did by asking way too many questions. He can trust Kaijin not to make any errors. Dain, he admits seems smarter then he thought at first. Although the fact he mentions how he wants to move from the masses is interesting. Earlier he seemed fine with a full frontal assault even it was only a joke, but now he seems to be feeling empathy for this people. Which is a dangerous mistake one could make on such an assignment.Post Count: 4 Tags: Legume , Queen Kuueru , Doctor Kaijin Vex , Dain Sincara

ICE COLD The Spice trader granted Kuueru's trade, and even answered her questions to what she presumed to be the best of his ability. Her green eyes narrowed as she felt the suspicion filling the man's voice. Still, she didn't seem to stir too much hesitance from the man, he still talked and conversed with her despite her barrage of questions. "Aye, I felt that too when I saw him talk. I must say, I am a brash one, choosing to dive headfirst into something without giving it the best research. You should see how much money I waste on gambling in the casinos when I know the odds are stacked against me. Still, when Almus spoke, something resonated in me. I am sick of these constant wars with innocent lives at stake. At least, hopefully, with one final blow the Empire can be stamped out and peace and return to the stars."Kuueru nodded before taking the shield generator with a smile. She looked it over once and managed to fit it into the bag she carried by her side. With that she shot the man a wave and winked his way. "I like it here, maybe I'll be back to see you again sir?" With that the raven-haired woman turned her attention back towards the crowd. She silently eyeballed her comrades. Kaijin was still enamored by the woman named Sascha giving her speech. Dain was standing in the back, talking on a link with Doctor Grey as well them through a shared link. Kuueru paused. She could pass for a soldier yes, but this mission was already splitting into so many different sections her head was spinning. Then Grey was back on the comm insisting that someone guard the spice. This last-minute plan, which she wasn't even sure was the point of, was over her head in the midst of the boisterous crowd. Idly fingers ran through her silky black waves. She got some information, and it was clear that Almus wasn't here. Perhaps switching to the radio tower was the best option for now. Alas, there was still the battle training facility in which they could issue challenged disguised as soldiers. For now the woman waltzed over to the spice containers and popped a squat with bored expression. Perhaps something would happen soon to shake things up.

How annoying
It had been a half hearted hope that the Black Star Leaders, in their disorganization and desire to keep command as lowly defined as possible, had sacrificed protection for popularity. Of course, he was wrong. The Black Star leaders weren't stupid or naive. They were painfully aware of their positions as far as the rest of the galaxy was concerned. Black Star was, by all means, a terrorist organization. That marked each and every single Black Star member, especially the higher officers, as a galactic criminal. They had to live with the fact that at any point, warships could drop out of the sky, primed to invade the planet they had made their home. So, it wasn't difficult to assume that yes, the higher ups would be primed with guards. In fact, it would be a foolish notion to assume that they wouldn't be primed with guards.
However, it was a pity. The prospect of one less Black Star commanding officer was an enticing one. However, their eye had to remain on the prize. To expose himself and his team, over a mere helping hand to Almus Alvazar would be even more of a folly. Nonetheless, he had learned much on this day. Even if they had not found Almus here in the marketplace, Kaijin had only confirmed the true nature of Black Star, and it would only make toppling the system that more devastating. However, he had to topple the system first.
Edging away from the now dispersing crowd as Sasha Qui's listeners returned to their daily market duties, the disguised Kaijin once more blended into the crowd, weaving past traders and potential buyers. As he moved through the crowds, he couldn't help but overhear Dain and Dr. Grey's conversation through the shared channel passed through the nanites that hid within each strike team member. In such conversation, the prospect of disguising as soldiers crossed the discussion table. It was a flawed plan, no doubt. They would disguise themselves as Black Star soldiers with little to no knowledge of their internal hierarchy system, no knowledge of any of their customs or protocol. Hell, they didn't even have uniforms. However, at the same time, out of the three options laid before them, two of them required clearance, or at least some semblance of a good story to pass through. The marketplace was the only option in which they could lay incognito, no questions asked. However, it was becoming increasingly clear that Almus wasn't present, and thus any further time spent in the marketplace was time wasted.
But how could they make this situation better? How could their odds improve if any military disguise they donned would be even flimsier than the one they devised to hide their true identities in this very plaza?
"Doctor Grey, do as you will with the nanotech at your disposal. Just ensure you are not caught. We don't need anymore problems on our hands then what is already laid out before us." The Android whispered, his words barely audible above all the hustle and bustle of the plaza's occupants. But due to the close proximity between mouth and mic, the volume would prove sufficient.
"However, we need a way to scope out the more high level areas of Black Star, as Dain said. However, I fear for Black Star's training methods, and our lack of knowledge on them. We do not have any form of information on their general security measures, their protocol and conduct and hell, we don't even know if they have a uniform or not. Until we have some semblance of an idea of the role we are supposed to play, I do not wish to risk infiltrating any high profile sector, especially given if we are caught, we will be in the focal point of enemy activity, and escape will be made much more difficult..."
"Perhaps regroup back at the ship to formulate a course of recommended action?" The disguised Android mused.Post Count: 4 | Dain Sincara | Legume | doctorgrey | Queen Kuueru

… not cause any trouble? Everyone seemed to be doing their very best not to stand out, not to cause trouble. Why though? As far as he could sense there was nobody here who could even come close to stopping them and that was still with their power hidden. He had no doubt Kuueru and Vex were able to wield impressive powers. Otherwise they would not be on this mission, or at the very least they would have dubbed him the muscle, which luckily he did not seem to be. Why were they trying so hard to stay incognito? “Goodluck doctor.” Dain said, half in thought as he pondered the question. None could thwart them or kill them. So what would happened if one of them was captured, revealed as an imperial spy? Would they no be taken captive and taken to someone qualified to deal with them? Or better, if there was a true incident, would he not be drawn there to help? From what the Saiya-Jin heard, this Almus was a true hero to the people, a leader that was granted his right by leadership and example. The bounty hunter had met many of these so called hero´s in his time and he had no doubt the man would come running if there was an attack. To be the first on the barricades to defend the people. Or at least Dain could not imagining the people here following him so blindly if that was not the case. Still… it was not his call to make. He barely knew the man and he was not being paid to endanger the rest of the team. He was a mere bounty hunter and had offered his idea´s. So he began to make his way back to the crates of spice. He could not pose as a trader, but security… that was well within his line of work. “Hi there. Any luck?” Dain asked as he posted himself next to the woman with the silky black hair, gun drawn and trying to look imposing, yet not threatening at the same time. “You really have mastered that look of fun though, have you not.” Dain said with a sly grin as he turned Kuueru and mimicked her face. Probably luckily for him they were interrupted by Vex, as Dain knew all too well that demons usually did not posses too much sense of humor. “Then I suggest we revisit my plan to pose as new soldiers. Eager to proof ourself as newcomers it would be logical to make our way to the fighting pits, proof ourselves, yet know nothing about protocol.” Dain said softly, before letting out a very deep sigh as he realized was he was just about to suggest. “Perhaps… perhaps… perhaps we should split up though. One of us go to the tower and help Grey access it, while the other two go to the arena?” He said, finally managing to bring out the words he hated so very much. At the very least they should do something, before Kuueru would get so bored the spices started to look interesting. Post Count: 4 LegumedoctorgreyQueen KuueruDoctor Kaijin Vex
