FERUSALEM, High OrbitOne didn't run from the Demon King. Lute had once been an assassin after all, he had his methods. If he put his mind to it, he could track down any quarry. Even the wizard and a former veteran member of his Aetherguard, Krelbor wasn't able to escape punishment. Krelbor had stolen several tomes from the library of the Scorched Palace, before slipping away on some rickety freighter with a crew of scum. Lute had traced the ship's route through Imperial space, figured out the potential trajectories--which let him to the East Quadrant. From there they had landed on Arcose. Lute found the crew, and after some coercion managed to get out of them that Krelbor had jumped on another transport headed to some save haven in the middle of nowhere named Ferusalem. His war cruiser hung over the swirling white clouds and arched blue curve of the massive planet. He watched the data on that planet scrawl past on the holo-display. His bridge crew were going about their typical berthing tasks. The world didn't have much of a population, nor were there any stand-out power levels being detected. That meant little, as most of the more powerful creatures in the universe knew how to hide their power. Even still, Lute could see why Krelbor would have came here--to the middle of nowhere. It was unlikely he would be found, by most. Lute was the exception though. He closed both of his eyes and reached out with his ki senses, sweeping over the planet. It took him a long minute to search the many signatures he found. Krelbor had a very distinct aura, the same kind of eerie sensation that most wizards tended to exhibit. Found you."Why not send a bounty hunter or a unit of Aetherguard down? You must have better things to do, milord," one of his advisers said. "Because," Lute said as he approached and keyed his security code in the nearest airlock. "No one crosses me and gets away with it. Thunderous marching sounded throughout the halls of the Council Chamber. Gallius led ten fellow Knights Cordis and his four Royal Guards towards the main Council room. It was time for his plan to finally come to fruition. The formation stopped about ten feet away from the door, Gallius held his hands behind his back as two honor guards unsealed the doorway. The nine Councilmen stood as Gallius entered. “Burle, Griffith, Maximus” Gallius said, referring to the three Councilmen who had agreed to help him. “Step asyde” He said sternly. An Elderly Konatsian and two Earthlings would step to the side of the meeting room. Confused muttering would echo throughout the room as five Knights Cordis entered the room. They would unsheath their weapons. “Ye haf been removed from ta council. Each of ye shalt be granted a plot of land n enuff supplyes ta last ya fer lyfe. Leef now” Gallius stated. The room was utterly silent. Suddenly a Namekian would step forward, anger painted across his face. “You son of a bitch, you said this was a free world and now you’re pulling a coup?! I won’t let you get away with this!” He shouted, forming a green short sword before charging forward. Gallius side stepped the Namekian, forming a Longsword with which he used to severe the Namekian’s arm. He would fall to the ground shouting in pain as purple blood stained the marble floors. “Get hym out of ere” He turned to the remaining Councilmen “Leef. Or I shalt not be as mercyful” Each Councilman aside from the three he had ordered to stay filed from the room. The five knights followed behind, one carrying the injured Namekian. Gallius walked to the large council table and set a hand on it. “Nytes shuld nat be led by a Council, me frens” He stated to the three Councilmen. Gallius rose his fist and slammed it upon the table, splitting it in two. “Thay need a kyng” He said as he sat down on one of the chairs. A Knight would run in, exasperated and scared witless. “Sir Gallius, There is an enormous Power level within orbit!” “Is it ta Albaricans agayne?” “No sir, it’s an individual” Gallius stood and turned, walking towards an open balcony. He would summon forth a Golden Pegasus and mount it. As he did so a Golden Aura would surround his body along with six swords forming behind his back as if wings. The Knight burst into the air with a golden trail following behind. After circling the planet a couple of times, he managed to spot the being with such a large Power Level. Lute dropped from the belly of his war cruiser into the vacuum of space. He used his ki to slingshot himself across the vast gulf separating the vessel and the atmosphere. Before long he could feel the heat and the friction of the planet pressing in on him and he used his aura to deflect it from his flesh and slow his approach so it wasn't quite as meteoric. As the clouds parted and he made his way towards the sprawling surface, he was hit with the sharp sensation of an approaching ki signature. He braked hard in the air as he saw a golden glint shimmering on the horizon. He folded his arms and awaited. It appeared this backwater planet had a guardian, and one that had an ample power level as well. Lute wasn't at all intimidated by this approaching warrior's caliber, but he was impressed to find someone so strong all the way out here. The man was a sight to behold, clad in armor atop a winged horse. Lute didn't know what to make out of it. A lot of warriors had unique ways they expressed themselves with their power. Regardless, it was all the same in the end. He was asked to state his business. Lute scowled. "I am the Demon King Lute, ruler of Hollow. I've come seeking a fugitive who fled my domain, a wizard named Krelbor. I have no interest in this planet and anyone else on it. Krelbor? He certainly knew of the old Konatsian. He took up residence with one of the monasteries, offering his knowledge of magics in exchange for shelter. Whatever this “Hollow” King wanted with him, he would have to get through Gallius first. The knight looked down towards the general area of the Council Chamber, contacting Sir Lantus through his psychic powers. “Fynd ta one nown as Krelbor an get hym off Ferusalem” He would look at Lute. “Ask Burle ware he is” He would say to Lantus, just in case the Namekian had Psychic powers of his own. Gallius formed a lance and shield. “Ye certaynly ayn no Daemon, let alown Kyng of em. Ive met me share. I do nat no of thys Krelbor, an I wuld suggest leeven. Thys be mye planet, an theese be me peepel ye are scaren. Symple farmen folk an Craftsmen. An whyle ye may haf a hye power level, as me men tell me, but I haf no fere of such thyngs” He would narrow his golden eyes at the False Demon King. “I shalt not gif moar than one warnen. Leef now, Lute” He wouldn’t address this Namekian by his given title out of respect to the true demons he had met. This Lute person disrespected the true demonkind by adopting such a title. Lute could forgive this man for his ignorant statement. It was true, with his current power he was exhibiting, he certainly didn't come across like a demon. That dark energy, the power he had absorbed from the Demon Realm, that every substance that had mutated and changed him at a permanent level was something he only brought out when he needed it. But, that didn't mean Lute wouldn't give him a sample of that power, a little taste. To make him eat his words. "Very well," Lute said, showing one of his fangs in a smirk. "You've made a grave mistake."Tendrils of dark ki, like black smoke began to pour out of his skin. Gallius's sense would be bombarded with a sensation of pure depravity, of the darkest of malice. Lute clenched his fists and the smoke erupted into a blazing amethyst pillar that lashed out, parting the clouds and darkening the sky with his foreboding presence. The Demon King opened his mouth and light began to swell at the back of his throat. Keeling over, it looked as though he were about to wretch. Instead an enormous purple beam erupted froth, cutting across the expanse straight for Gallius. Even if the knight avoided it or blocked it, Lute wouldn't cease fire. Instead, he would redouble his efforts, sweeping his head and pouring more energy into it to increase the beams girth and destructive potential. BATTLE TRACKERSUMMARY

The Knight Burst from his steed as the darkened shroud attempted to engulf him. He spun to help dissipate it before rematerializing his steed below him. Gallius had experienced some of the greatest mental anguishes that any mortal could. It would take much more effort to effect his mind than this. The Knight rose his shield as the Namekian reared his head back for some sort of blast. He had seen others perform such moves before and knew that they could certainly be devastating. The knight felt his arm struggle against the sheer force of the attack. But he would not be felled in a single move, no he knew he could not win this battle. But he would not surrender Krelbor to this Namekian. Krelbor was of Ferusalem now, if this man wished to cause him harm, he would have to get through Gallius first. As the namekian noticed the attack not properly connecting, he would redouble his efforts and continue to push on with the blast. Gallius shouted in a mix of pain and anger as he pushed back the onslaught. With a final shout he would dissipate his mount below, whilst keeping the shield raised with his psychic powers. The knight flipped forward through the air, flinging two of his floating swords towards the Namekian while he was still distracted with the shield. Lute looked down to see an energy sword sticking into his right bicep. Grimacing, he yanked it out with the sizzle of blood. The demonic energy that rippled around him healed the wound at an unnatural rate and he stared at the warrior who had deflected his attack. It was a bit unexpected. Lute didn't anticipate that the attack would have killed him outright, but he had been hoping it would have maimed this nuisance. Still, it appeared his foe was an experienced fighter and quite resourceful. The Demon King could feel his hunger for battle sparking inside of him. He hadn't come here for a brawl. No, he fully intended to simply murder Krelbor and be on his way. But, here he was interested to see what this foe could do. Plus, he doubted he would be able to continue on with his original mission unhindered until he defeated his armored foe. Lute's dark aura flared outward as he shifted his floating stance sideways. He twirled the radiant blade with his finger tips and cocked his arm back. Taking aim, he then whipped it at Gallius with unbelievable speed and accuracy. If the knight wasn't careful, his own weapon would pierce straight through him with dire consequence. BATTLE TRACKERSUMMARY

It would appear that the mouth blast wasn’t the only effort which the Namekian had redoubled. His aura began to feel even more oppressive, to the point which he would have to force a purge of it. The knight’s armor would begin to give off a Golden shimmer which grew into a blinding white as he channeled his powers against the Aura’s effects. It took a decent chunk of effort and power to fully purge it, but after a few seconds the white light burst, expelling the aura. He would lean forward utterly exasperated from the ordeal. As he turned back to see whether the Namekian followed him or not, one of his own weapons flew past him. While he had quickly dissipated the sword so it cause no more harm, he felt a deep gash in his arm. It would seem that he would need to clean up his weapons after using them. Gallius would suddenly make a sharp turn with his steed, jumping off once more and forming a large Halberd in his hands. He would attempt to stab into Lute’s torso. For the briefest of moments, it would seem as though the ki halberd had made impact with the Demon King. Yet, if one looked close enough they would see that its sharp bladed tip had stopped mere centimeters from the flesh. Lute's insipid aura had folded inward to protect him from harm and the pressure behind it, the immense amount of ki he channeled, had slowed the momentum of the blade. He stared at the helmeted fighter for a long moment, his dark eyes locking with the shadow of the visor. And then he grabbed the tip of the weapon and pushed it aside. Gallius wasn't done yet, though. He was a crafty fighter, that was for sure. Numerous blades descended inward. Lute's aura flared outward to deflect them, but one penetrated through and cut open a line across his left cheek. Droplets of purple blood oozed. Lute cocked his fist, concussive telekinetic energy travelling up the length of his arm and swirling around his knuckles. He shifted and lunged at Gallius and loosed a massive punch aimed at his torso. And then he swayed, flickering from view. Appearing above and behind the knight, Lute brought his own head down in a cataclysmic headbutt. If successful, Lute fully anticipated it to spike his foe into the crust of the planet below. Gallius formed a shield just in time to take the brunt of the impact, still that didn’t keep the strike from hurting. He could feel his torso being bruised horrendously as he flew backwards. Quickly he would flip around to catch the next impact with his left arm. The armor cracked slightly, but that was to be expected. He had been forced to use the Knight’s Cordis armor whilst waiting for his more advanced armor to be built. Steel couldn’t withstand strikes such as these, truly the only reason he wore it was out of comfort. He had spent half his life in armor, he was much too used to it to go without Though he did get propelled quite a ways downwards, it still wasn’t enough to reach the surface. Gallius summoned his steed as he fell, bursting upwards with a lance. If he was lucky, he would hit the Namekian and propel him upwards. If not, well he was sure the Namekian wished for his head at this point. Either way, this fight had to be away from the surface, there were too many innocent below which could be injured in their cross fire. That he could not allow. Gallius was propelled by his steed upward, lance of energy outstretched. Lute tried to shift to get out of the way of the attack, but was too slow. The point of the weapon drove into his shoulder and he took hold of the haft. The energy burned his hands, but he was able to prevent it from punching straight though. Still Lute was skewered. He gritted his teeth as he fought against getting pushed up into the sky. For a long time they traveled up together until Lute managed to stop their momentum. Hovering in the air, he swung his other hand up using his palm to strike against the length of the weapon and snap it in two pieces. Freed now, he surged backwards away from Gallius. His aura flared outward as he gathered ki. Gallius would feel the tug of that hideous energy emanating from Lute, as it tried to leech his spirit away. Fists glowing and crackling with raw power, Lute opened up on Gallius with a cascade of energy bolts. Both of his arms pumped back and forth at a rapid pace. He spewed forth a rain of annihilation. Once more that damned aura would return. Why was this Namekian so focused on using his aura? It was perhaps one of the most unorthodox methods of fighting that Gallius had ever encountered. Maybe aside from the sheer ferocity of that damned piece of pink rubber ( Pepa )… But it mattered not. While he certainly felt more drained after suffering the extent of the Namekian’s presence, he managed to push through the dread which was wrought with it. “Yer mynd gaymes don wurk wit me!” He shouted angrily. The Namekian’s next barrage was a bit more difficult to avoid given it’s rapid and sudden nature. The first half certainly hit the Knight, but he managed to flair his own aura to minimize the bullet like Ki blasts. Lute wasn’t the only one who could fight with his Aura. He would form a large, paddle like sword as the final half of the energy orbs flew towards him. Using the flat side, he would swat back the attack towards Lute. Gallius followed up the counter attack with a large swipe of his sword. While such a strike could leave him very exposed for an attack, he hoped that the counter strike had been distracting enough to assist in delivering the devastating strike. "What mind games?" Lute growled through gritted teeth as he fired his torrent of blasts. The knight created a massive sword out of his ki and used it to swat away his energy blasts, many of which came right back at the Demon King. Lute grunted as they crashed against him. He didn't bother trying to get away, but did stop firing. The pain lent him strength. The suffering increased his ferocity. It wouldn't be long now until he reached his masochistic apex and be able to truly deliver violence. Not long at all. Gallius swung his blade and Lute pushed it aside with his palm, the edge of it digging into the flesh a bit. The air howled in his ears as Lute shot straight up, his brooding aura flashing around him. His foe enjoyed using constructed weapons to fight. Lute often did so himself with his adaptive fighting style. So, it would be interesting to try and defeat this foe at his own game. He channeled ki into his fist and from it erupted a massive amethyst sickle, its head a jagged curve. It was a wicked weapon and he planned to use it as such. Blinking from sight, he appeared above and behind Gallius. He swung the sickle down in a wide diagonal slash and then turned, pulling it back as he lunged and tried to hook and drag his foe down with him. BATTLE TRACKERSUMMARY

A Scythe? He was using a farming tool in a combat situation? Guess it was true what they said about Namekians, they liked farming. Gallius easily skirted around the awkward tool, only to be caught off guard by the sheer speed with which Lute managed to move it. He brought his shield up, the scythe hooking into it and throwing it aside. A nasty gash would be left on the knight’s arm. If it had been a Halberd hook or some sort of axe, Gallius could of very well lost his entire arm in the ordeal. The knight spurred his steed forward once more, this time summoning a Golden Great sword. Gallus would swing it downwards towards the Namekian, catching the blade with both hands as it rose upwards. Then he would pull a sharp turn before bringing the weapon down once more for to strike. “Yer aura is about as dull an dark as yer understanden of wepons, False Demon!” Gallius shouted through gritted teeth as golden blood leaked from his gash. It was a smart move to keep the Namekian so high up, his strange attempts to match Gallius’ style could of caused untold collateral damage. Not to mention, being this high up helped keep everyone’s eyes off the chaos of the fight, helping to keep everyone calm whilst it continued. False Demon.Lute laughed at that notion, at the childish insult. This man clearly knew nothing about demons or what actually constituted as demonic. True, if one counted a demon as simply a creature born in the Demon Realm, Lute was not one. But, he was the strongest and possibly only living member of the now defunct Demon Clan, carrying on the legacy of King Piccolo and other Super Namekians who were exiled from planet Namek. He was carrying on a legacy of defiance. Against the order that ruled all, the very gods who cast their intentions from above upon mortals. Mortals whom they believed were helpless, but would rise up and strike them off their gaudy thrones--one by one. Gallius's golden great sword fell down and Lute swung the big head of his scythe around to parry it aside. Ki blades were weightless, so it was done with a speed a ferocity not possible with normal weapons. Despite that, the fragile energy construct shattered, the head of the scythe spinning away and bursting into motes of light. Lifting the broken haft, Lute concentrated and formed a pointed spear-tip on its end and tried to drive it into Gallius's throat. In all tournaments on Gallius’ homeworld of Ferrous, Knights who participated in Jousting events were required to wear a special sort of armor. Unlike the armors of battle, these armors were heavy and cumbersome, even the helmets were typically locked facing forwards. A man on horseback getting hit by a weapon such a lance would experience more than a slight discomfort when riding at full speed. Gallius felt this first hand. After managing to avoid the Namekian’s first strike, he took a sharpened spear straight to the Helmet. Steel plates didn’t match against Ki based weaponry with their ultra fine blades. Gallius reared back just in time for only a slight cut to hit above his brow. He would flip back off the horse, cause the embedded spear point to slice open the helmet. Two large golden wings would form behind Gallius as he fell, allowing him to stay standing in air. Blood leaked into his left eye as he breathed heavily from the exhaustion of this fight. He would burst forward and point out his Great Sword in an attempt to skewer Lute. Whether it connected or not, he would swing the sword to the side in an attempt to eviscerate the Namekian. It didn’t really matter how much “fatal” damage he dealt to Lute. Anything fatal to a normal creature wouldn’t cause nearly the same amount of damage to a Namekian. They were like Majin but uglier. Gallius didn't have a huge power level, but Lute could easily see that he was a highly skilled fighter. The way that he fell off his magical flying steed, how composed he was despite the pressure and the overwhelming force. That was something only a veteran warrior was able to do. Most others would be shitting their pants and fleeing at this point. But, Gallius had resolve. Most of all, he was earning Lute's respect. Something not easily earned. "You have potential," Lute muttered as he spun pulled his ki spear back and shifted his stance. It was an open stance, allowing for more mobility than defense. Because, Gallius was setting up for a thrust of his golden great sword. The blade shot with speed and force. The sharp point clashed against Lute's aura, which he forced forward to reinforce himself as he sidestepped it. Gallius had done enough damage now that Lute was in the zone. His demonic powers were reaching their peak. Standing beside Lute was like standing inside of a burning building. His aura was a thick smoke, a fog on the mind. Lute's telepathic presence wasn't something he did intentionally, although he could if he wished. Rather, it was a subconscious assault--trying to fragment cognition and incite fear. All he needed to do was slow his foe down, make them hesitate and he would win the day. Gallius's entire right side was exposed as Lute moved past him at ungodly speed. Despite that, Lute had a strong feeling the knight's fighting instincts would kick in at any second. Instead of trying to stab him with the spear, he swept it diagonally, using the sharp edge more as a cutting tool. Not the optimal way to use a spear, but better than nothing. After that attack he withdrew the spear, pulling it behind his back. There he switched hands, hoping to throw Gallius off. A bit of a risk and an advanced fighting technique--but Lute was ambidextrous and that had proven to be a boon in hand to hand combat. In the opposite hand now--he lined up and attempted to plunge the ki spear straight through Gallius's midsection. BATTLE TRACKERSUMMARY

“Sir- Uh, I mean King Gallius, he has been taken off world. We move with haste to the location” Gallius grinned as the good news was given. The location was Kabachan Space. If the False Demon King attempted to continue his hunt, Carambolis would immediately know about the threat and bring his entire Armada to deal with it. He knew the dangers of taking on refugees of any kind. Various locations had been set aside if the person so desired. Once someone settled upon Ferusalem they were citizens. They may have committed crimes in their past, but Ferusalem was as much a place of redemption as it was a place of safety. He could feel fear attempting to bite it’s way into his heart. But he had enough of fear. The endless warfare on his old world, The Voice’s threats and forceful attempts at control, his near death with Pleez… Fear could be useful if one wished to survive. Gallius, however, cared little about that now. His life was dedicated for the preservation of his new people. There was no room for such selfish feelings as Fear. Even with his stalwart heart, he couldn’t stop the strange oppressive aura from fogging his mind, making his reactions slower. Indeed, every movement was not only sluggish but also painful. He barely managed to deal with the strike for his midsection, the shield he had managed to form shattering as he was flung back. The strike had managed to break his right forearm. Gallius formed a longsword in his left hand and flew forward, attempting to hit the Namekian with whatever strength he had left. The Demon King found himself distracted. Throughout his little engagement with King Gallius, he had kept lock on his target's energy signature. But, it was gone now. Gallius managed to slip past his defense and slam him with the edge of the constructed longsword. The blade didn't cut his skin, but the force of the blow drove the Demon King back. For a long moment he floated there, searching with his senses--hoping that he had just lost lock on Krelbor. But as the seconds ticked by--he realized that it wasn't possible. His adamant features dissolved into a deep frown and he once more locked eyes with Gallius. The warrior had exerted himself fighting Lute, quite a bit. Lute could tell he was moments from breaking. But, at the same time he had to give the man kudos. Not only did he have potential, but he had kept Lute engaged long enough to smuggle Krelbor away. That alone was a feat. Lute hadn't expected much from such a backwater hole in the middle of nowhere. They were coordinated and efficient, far more than most colonies this far away from the core. "Looks like you win," Lute said. "Today."Such a concession was never an easy thing for Lute to make. But, he wasn't quite as prideful as some warriors. Well, he was--but he didn't let it get in the way of his better judgement. Despite his frustration, he had no reason to wreck havoc on Ferusalem. "But, I will find Krelbor and I'll kill him eventually."With little warning, Lute's aura folded around him and he shot off into space--headed back to his ship. Gallius raised his sword for another strike, until stopping at the Namekian began speaking. Wait, he won? The Namekian, the one who could of just destroy Gallius along with the entire planet at that, conceded defeat? Gallius dissipated the sword with confusion drawn across his face. Out of all of the foes he had fought thus far, all of the fiends he had the misfortune to fight, this was indeed one of the first times he had ever had a foe conceded since his homeworld. All he had suffered thus far was near death or little to no contest. But instead of being petty and raining hell upon Ferusalem for Krelbor’s loss, he remained honorable in his pursuits. He didn’t punish the innocents out of anger. As the Namekian flew away a grin grew across Gallius’ face. The King gazed down at the paradisiacal planet. This was the first major threat the planet had ever suffered. They survived and they would continue to survive. Gallius slowly lowered himself with a pair of dull wings.
