Arale Town was a small place, really little more than a few dozen buildings clustered around a central market square. It was an important fixture in the local community, somewhere that the local farms delivered their goods and traded for the needed supplies to keep life going. Situated at a crossroads, with a beautiful stream running through the middle of the town, it had been generations since anything of important had happened. Konats was a place which had avoided much of the pressure of the galactic community thanks to its backwater status; a place where magic was the norm and the people had that curious mix of barbarism and sophistication which meant they were looked down on by most of the galactic community whilst being conscious enough of that community to reject it themselves. But there were downsides to remaining so stubbornly apart from the galactic community as a whole. For instance, when there were rumours that a particular settlement of yours was planning to send a magical envoy to assist the Saiyan Dominion in their war effort, well, sometimes, the Empire might send a diplomat. And other times, it might send Pleez. The little pink Majin walked to the middle of town at a casual pace. Her blood red eyes swept over the place, and she saw that there was fear in the eyes of these people. Of course. They knew magic. They might be some of the only people in the whole galaxy who could glance and her, and have a good chance of knowing exactly what she represented. Her smile was a white slash in her face as she lifted her hand up. A sudden jerk, clenching her fist, and there was a blinding flash of crackling pink lightning. A flare of such intense energy that it would be visible as a sudden spark even from the cold depths of space. The power surged outwards from her, and in an instant, the middle of the township was reduced to so much smouldering ash. Thick, choking black smoke belched up into the sky, bruising a beautiful clear day and sending a signal for miles around. And Pleez began to laugh. A wild, crazed, happy noise amongst the sudden carnage. Yes. This was what she was good at. This was what she enjoyed. Not some stupid diplomatic mission, not playing bodyguard, or reigning herself in as fools made clumsy attempts to soothe her rage. Utter destruction. She wanted nothing else. Andrew C. Creed

Gallius held his head as the smoke rose. He could feel it before actually seeing it. The corpses of the innocent Konatsians, the bloody and unprovoked attack. It made his golden blood boil. “I can sense the drop in power level. Whatever is in there is killing innocent people. Are you sure you don’t want me to kill it?”
“NO!” He would shout in anger, voice almost cracking. “No moar deth. Ryp thys thyng apart, hurt it untyl it begs fer deth. But notin moar shalt dye thys day” “Heh. I’ve only seen you this angry a couple of times before. You’re even giving me permission to hurt them” He could almost feel the voice give a grin. “Alright. I’ll hurt them for you. It’ll be more fun making it suffering in it’s wounds anyways”
The Knight’s left gold eye dulled and right eye blaze with crimson anger. “Let us begin”
Gallius burst over the horizon with a crimson halberd in hand. He was giving an almost animalistic shout of anger. Upon seeing the only non-Konatsian, a female Majin, he would bolt to the murderer with his Halberd point poised to strike. Upon impacting with the point he would pull back the Halberd and slash at the Majin before stabbing once more. His final strike was aimed for her leg, flipping the halberd around to hook her and pull her down. “I WILL TEAR YOU APART!” He would shout, voice echoing throughout the barren ash wastes. The sudden appearance of the enemy combatant was met with a curious cocking of the head by Pleez. She hadn’t seen a warrior like this before. As he charged her, Pleez let out a terrifying HOWL, her mouth distorting hugely out of proportion, as though she intended to swallow him whole. Instead, though, the sudden discharge of sonic energy broke his attempt to harm her; the strikes were deflected by the brunt of the sudden force laid out against them. Only one of the halberd’s piercing stabs managed to make contact with her skin, and where it did, the impact didn’t seem to have any clear effect on the gelatinous creature’s mass. But it did have quite a dramatic effect on her state of mind. “You HIT ME!” Pleez shrieked. “You HIT. ME!As though this possibility was utterly beyond her, her voice rose in tenor and pitch, her eyes focusing with bloodthirsty intensity upon this foul creature who would dare to cause her pain. Her aura surged wildly about her, a sudden, crackling force bathing her in electric pink lightning as she raised her hand towards him. A small fraction of that intense electricity balled up in the palm of her hand, swirling into a condensed sphere which was launched towards the Knight’s helmed head with shocking force. Unlike many energy attacks, the ball wouldn’t explode on impact, and would instead ricochet upwards wildly should it hit its mark true; the force of the blow as though his head had been struck with an enormous hammer, rather than by an energy sphere the size of a basketball. “I’ll KILL YOU.” She howled, even as she leapt backwards to put more distance between herself and the enraged Knight. “I’ll break you into so many pieces, all the king’s horses and all the king’s men won’t be able to put you back together again!”There was an almost childish quality to her fury as she shrieked and spat at him, her free hand – the one which hadn’t fired the energy ball – clutching to her side, despite the lack of any visible evidence of a wound. Gallius would tilt his head to the side, allowing the sphere of Ki to fly harmlessly past. He would turn to see where it landed just to make sure it wouldn’t come flying back or explode. His Crimson gaze would return as the Majin started having her temper tantrum, saying something about kings and horses. Twas quite an embarrassing sight to behold. As if a child was given the powers of a god. It made Gallius chuckle slightly. “I can see you’ve sacrificed your intelligence for power” He would dissipate the Halberd and form a short sword. Pointing it at the Majin, he would grin underneath his great helm. “You lack any sort of finesse or strategy. You babble like a child. And your voice is about as annoying as your power level is large. I will take great pleasure in tearing you asunder” Gallius formed several crimson swords above his head. With a loud burst of energy, he would attempt to stab rapidly as the Majin in various locations which would be lethal to a normal creature. He knew this was not a normal creature, but he had to use what he knew if he had any sort of chance against this child minded woman. The first strike aimed for the neck, quickly dissipating the weapon on impact and reforming it in his left hand. The next spot was towards the heart, two swift strikes before flipping back in preparation of a rebuttal. “Gallius cared about these villagers, he wanted to kill you for causing so much harm. I personally just wanted a good fight. Now I want you dead as well. Your intelligence insults me”

The Majin’s eyes went flat and dead as Gallius insulted her. His attempt to divine whether the ball was coming back towards him was quite sensible – but he had underestimated her badly. When he darted in towards her, the first slash at her neck was met with a low duck, crouching down into the scorched earth of the village. The second and third strikes hit home true. The first, especially should have gutted her like a fish – but no. There was absolutely no visible sign of damage from the assault. The blade punched into her, and distorted her back with the clear outline of the blade, but it utterly failed to puncture the hard, rubbery flesh of the Majin. Pleez SLAPPED her hand into the ground, and the instant she did, the ball of energy she’d launched earlier ERUPTED upwards, coming up fast a hair’s breadth in front of Gallius… before it exploded, violently. The condensed energy erupted in a wash of heat and light all around the warrior. And in the very next instant, she was lunging through it, a blur of fists and feet flying out in all directions as she aimed to batter and beat the Knight backwards across the village, her furious assault coupled with a wild screech and furious voice. “You don’t kill Pleez!” She howled with terrifying anger in her voice, her body surrounded with a close-fitting shimmer of bright pink energy, a protective barrier sprung to life instinctually in combination with the lightning already crackling about her body. “Pleez kills YOU!”Andrew C. The explosion most certainly hit it’s mark. It’s impact was something that Gallius had not prepared for and it’s damage would certainly be felt for the weeks to come. The blast itself had split the knight’s helmet in two, causing a cloud of black smoke to erupt outwards. His surcoat was utterly disintegrated. The chainmail underneath broken in just the right areas to cause it to slip off. Even his gambeson could not stand against the fiery blast. Two red triangles would appear within the dark smoke, followed by a large sharp toothed grin. “I never understood why he wore that armor. It never lasts” He would grab the remnants of his gambeson, tearing it off and throwing it to the ground. The crimson gaze turned to the majin, narrowing slightly. “You’re going to kill me? Then get over here and do it”
A large spear would form in Gallius’ right hand. He would slam it on the ground, poised for the Majin who suddenly burst through the smoke of the explosion. He would thrust it up to her, using her own aura to bounce himself away from Pleez. He would pull the crimson spear up and bend it into a bow, drawing it back and firing numerous shots towards the Majin. If any happened to connect they would explode on impa ct. “Come now, you sard. Several of the energy arrows did strike Pleez, but they didn’t seem to slow her down much. She punched her way, quite literally, through the first few, and the rest either missed their mark entirely or failed to produce more than a light ripple through the Majin’s bubblegum body. It was one of the more terrifying aspects of fighting Pleez that the longer the battle went on, the more her hatred and destructive impulses leeched into the world. Whilst her punches and kicks failed to find their mark, destructive magic was still saturating the area, and as she closed on the Knight once more, it responded to her outrage for her. Pink flame ignited around the pair, a tall circle of brilliant neon fire enclosing them both, and the oppressive heat scorched at her opponent even as she came to a sudden, stark halt. She raised her hand, palm facing directly towards Gallius, and she spat on the ground. “You talk too much.”
Judgement made, she unleashed a further wave of brilliant pink energy directly towards Gallius. The power she forced out into the world was unfocused and amateurish by most standards; there was little control and little effort made to directly pinpoint her opponent. But what there was, was an overwhelming amount of raw strength. She didn’t have a lot of patience at the best of times, but the mouthy Knight’s insistent attempt to keep baiting her was working. The sharp grin grew to an unnatural length as the Majin closed in. “Why thank you…” He said with a sly tone. As soon as her hand faced Gallius, the black smoke and devilish face disappeared altogether, revealing Gallius’ confused face. “Wat th-” Is all he could manage before being blasted back by the pink energy. He skidded across the ground slightly before catching himself. He looked down to see his armor gone, and great helm broken into two pieces. He would hold a hand to his head. “Wat the hell are ya doin!?” He shouted to the voice. He knew it was there, it just chose to stay silent. “Damn ye…” Quickly he would fly to the Majin, attempting to form a weapon but to no avail. All he had left was his golden shield. It would have to do. Gallius bolted forward in an attempt to shield bash the Majin. Upon impact he would raise his legs and kick off her. As he fell towards the ground his steed would form and catch him just in time. The winged pegasus would turn to the Majin, it’s golden coat almost blinding. “Ye haf merderd the innosent. The energy crackling about Pleez lashed and licked at Gallius as he continued to try and assail the Majin. The blows struck home true enough, the woman’s gummy form rippling and shuddering against each impact, but when the brave warrior landed back atop his steed, she was none the worse for wear. Her eyes shone darkly as she considered him, and her arms spread out to either side, gathering the latent destructive magic which had infused the landscape surrounding them during the clash. The smell of ozone was the only warning that the Knight was granted before pink flames erupted all around him. In the very next instant, Pleez slammed her hands together, and reformed the tightly-bound sphere of swirling pink power she had unleashed against him at the start of the battle. Her expression was sour as she flung it at him. “Stop yammering!” She shrieked, “You can whine all you want when I send you to the Other World, then I won’t have to listen to you!”
The ball hurtled through the air at breakneck speed, this time aiming to catch Gallius square in the chest – and regardless of whether she had to redirect it completely or master the rebound from a successful impact, the malevolent creature would swipe it downwards after that to try and smash into the spine of Gallius’ noble steed – no respect for animals either, it seemed! Gallius shifted slightly to the right to avoid the large pink sphere. Quickly he would hop forward with his shield raised in order to protect his steed. The impact would knock him back onto the pegasus, his arm feeling like it had just been broken. “MANUS SMYTE THEE!” He would shout as loud as he could. As his voice echoed across the ashen fields, a large golden lance matrilizing in the knight’s right hand. The pegasus quickened it’s flight towards the Majin fiend as Gallius couched the lance. “Thys wurld shalt suffer ye no longer!”
As the lance hit, whether devastating or miniscule, it exploded in a bright display of golden light. The lance exploded forward in an attempt to pierce the Majin, ending the battle once and for all. If not...Well, avenging the innocent was a worthy and honorable death. Gallius would continue past the majin for a couple of feet before screeching to a halt. His right hand was burnt and smoking. That damned voice thought it perdinant to destroy his armor, his people would have to help him make a new set. Gallius turned to face the majin. “Ye do nat scare me. Nor dose deth” He would form another Lance, slamming it into the ground. “If i dye tanyte, I shalt be greeted bye me brothers in ta relm of Manus. Can ye say ta same?”

As Gallius bore down on Pleez, the Majin focused her power about herself once more. She raised an arm to take the impact on the palm of her hand, and the lance struck home true – striking a barrier of shimmering pink, concentrated power. The detonation of energy blasted a deep crater into the earth, but when the smoke cleared, Pleez didn’t seem any worse for the assault at all. Shocking pink lightning surged around her in wild and unfocused disarray, the blasts of power not aimed particularly at Gallius; though he may well find himself caught up in them. Her energy carved deep furrows into the ground, gouging trenches as a slow smile split her features. She threw her head back and laughed, wild and carefree, as she rose up into the air. “I don’t care about scaring you!” She cackled, “I just want to KILL you! And I, can’t die!”It might sound like bragging, but then, maybe, after what he had just witnessed, it wouldn’t sound that way at all. Pleez might simply be stating a simple fact. They had exchanged blow after desperate blow, Gallius had stabbed her, pierced her, struck her with everything he had – and she didn’t look as though it had caused her more than a temporary inconvenience. And that damned energy ball was still flying around unhindered. With a loud shock, Gallius flew off his steed having been struck by one of her bolts. A small stream of glowing gold blood began to leak from his nostril. He had a plan… As the sphere of Ki flew towards him, he simply swatted it to the side with his shield. The knight had a slight limp as he walked forward. “If ye wysh ta kill me thys day, then may I ask who haf sent ye? A warryor shuld no ta name of ta cowerd who sent sumen ta kyll in thyer plase. So I may properly end em in ta afterlyfe…” “How did you…”“I dun need ye anymoar, cowerd. Thys is me body, not yers. And I shalt be damed if ye kyll me thys day” “Hm. Fine”Gallius rose a hand up to the heavens, clouds slowly beginning to darken into a thunderstorm. Two lightning bolts would strike directly next to him, leaving two golden long swords embedded in the ground. He would dissipate the shield and grab the two swords, testing their balance before refocusing on Pleez. “Manus Vult, Infydel” Gallius burst forward wildly slashing at the Majin with little intent on safety. If this thing couldn’t die then so be it. He would make it suffer as much as it could before entering the golden void. This things torturous everlasting life would have to suffice for victory. This time, the instant Gallius’ shield struck the energy ball, it detonated in a swirling mass of brilliant pink power. The rules, it seemed, changed with Pleez’s violent whims, and as the warrior summoned swords and barked, demanding answers, she sneered derisively in response. “No.” She said, in the petulant tone of a child, “You’re pissing me off, so you can die wondering!” The swordplay left deep slashes and gouges through the Majin’s gum-like body, but the moment the steel had finished passing through her, the wounds healed closed once more. Cutting and slicing hurt, it annoyed her, but this time, she stood her ground, only bothering to duck out of the way of one slash which would have decapitated her – that was always infuriating. Their battle had already laid significant waste to what little remained of the village, and now things seemed to be entering into their final stages. Pleez leapt suddenly, so that she could swing around and bring her leg snapping towards the side of Gallius’ head. Whether or not that strike hit home true, the Majin would twist unnaturally, showing off the full limits of her acrobatic, inhuman nature as she corkscrewed herself and stabbed down with an arm which literally grew to the length needed to plant a painful fist into the brave Knight’s midsection. Gallius shot his sword up to deflect the her kick to the side of his head. As the Majin brought her unnaturally twisted form down to strike, he would slice at the fist while also stepping to the side. As she landed he would hop back and raise his swords in a cross for protection. “Hm. I see, ye be jus a slave ta thys person then. Not independent enuff ta make yer own choises…” He would slide the two swords together before taking a more offensive stance. “Ye be noten but a serf ta a lord, hm? Tis a shame, ye haf ta strength ta be yer own ruler” Gallius jumped forward, a trail of golden light following behind him. As he closed in on the Majin he would aim for her head, as it seemed to be the only spot she was defending. Since she wouldn’t bother defending the other portions of her body there would be no point in trying to trick her by attacking another part. All he could hope for was quick and accurate slashes and jabs. The first attack was a stab to her neck, if she chose to defend it he would retaliate with a slash to her cranium. The Majin shrank as his first blow came in, literally compressing her torso so that the slash passed harmlessly through the air where her head had been. The second met her arm, and the blade cut midway into her forearm, before she yanked it backwards with an irritated hiss, her flesh reforming flawlessly over the wound. If he was attempting to bait her with his words, it wasn’t working. The more he attacked her, though, the more angry she got – which against a conventional opponent would have meant she was leaving herself more open to attack; certainly not a bad strategy. Against Pleez, though, her guard was barely there to begin with. All it meant was that she was happy to stay up close and personal with him – which was definitely a mixed blessing. She was in sword range, but it was also harder to avoid her own counterattacks. Superheated steam suddenly burst from the holes dotted about the Majin’s pink frame, billowing out with a sound like a whistling train. Aside from being scalding hot and painful, it was also obscuring – until suddenly, brilliant pink light burned away the steam in front of Gallius’ face. Pleez let loose the raw, unfocused ki energy in a shriek of brilliant power which emanated from her mouth; a continuous blast which aimed to swallow the brave warrior whole, and put an end to this once and for all! If she had been trying to blind the knight, she had succeeded. The knight stumbled back slightly. Quickly he would hurl himself to the side in case of an attack. As his vision was restored, she saw a large patch of blackened and glassed earth where he had once been standing. She reared for another scream, causing Gallius to charge forward, staying just low enough to avoid the blast. He collided with her, attempted to grapple her still with a bear hug. She seemed to have no bones, or really anything that a normal creature would have. Whatever this creature was she wasn’t natural. Even if she took the shape of a humanoid. Gallius would form a sword behind the Majin and shot it forward towards her torso and head. The first was followed by two more. There was a decent chance that Gallius could end up impaling himself with this, but the possibility of successfully hurting her was worth the risk. “Ye seem angry, M’lady. Haf I struck a nerve, er am I simply annoyen ya with not dyen?” To be honest he was surprised to of survived this long. Wrestling Pleez was a disconcerting experience. The Majin’s form shifted and swirled, and at the last possible moment she simply disappeared from his grasp, blinking out of existence as she warped space to blur herself away leaving Gallius behind to take the brunt of his own swords. His accusation was… nonsensical, to her; she was no more or less angry than she’d been since the first moment he’d dared to strike her. The level of her simmering rage had remained consistent from that point on, and even now she merely glowered at him, her dark red eyes gleaming dangerously. “Time to say goodbye!” Her voice came from the roof of a ruined building. Between her initial assault and the collateral damage of the pair’s furious combat, the township was wrecked beyond repair. Nothing more, now, than a testament to destruction; burned husks of buildings and the bodies of those unfortunates who had been unable to flee before the clash of superpowered warriors brought devastation to their homes and businesses. Pleez was done playing around, though. Raising her hand above her head, she gathered the swirling mass of pink energy she had used as her most common weapon – and this time, the orb redoubled in size, dwarfing her by far as she unleashed the swirling blast of power down towards the brave knight, aiming to crush the life out of him beneath its super-condensed form. Gallius threw up his shield to block his incoming swords. While most were avoided, one managed to make its way into the knight’s upper thigh. Glowing Golden blood began to trip from the wound, every drop sizzling and burning on the ashen ground. The knight quickly turned to see the forming a giant sphere of energy. He would smirk slightly as he formed another shield in his other hand. “Spiritus mei manus guide est inanis auream…” The sphere began its course towards the Knight. He would raise his two shields. “IN TE INANE!” The sphere would collide with Gallius and struggle to get past the shields. He shouted as loud as he could whilst attempting to push back the violent attack. It was to no avail as his arms burned from the sheer effort of repelling the sphere. With a crack, one of his hands would break at the wrist, causing him to fall back and be consumed by the attack. Within the crater left by the attack, Gallius struggled to kneel. He formed a pole with which he used to push himself up to a full stand. Blood leaked from various lacerations and burn wounds, dropping more and more golden blood onto the ground. He would hold out the hand which he hadn’t broken and form three wavering and dull swords in front of him. The swords came in, and Pleez batted them aside with a swirl of one gelatinous limb. Her arm swept them all up and sent them hurtling off into random directions, a faint growl and narrowing of her eyes the only visible response from the woman to the brave knight’s attempt to bring her low. The blades themselves punched through some of the ruined buildings, collapsing one more damaged hut in on itself, but she couldn’t even find it in her to enjoy the moment of destruction. This impudent creature’s stubborn resistance – his unwillingness to just die already – was driving her mad. Though he was barely standing, Pleez was still throwing attacks at him as though he were just as fresh to the fight as she was. With an animal howl of fury, she leapt at the man, bringing her fists down in wild, erratic swings. Gallius held out as long as he could. But it wasn’t enough. He didn’t have a hope of winning this battle. One of the punches landed it’s mark, knocking him back, flipping across the ashen ground. His nose had been broken in the impact, one eye swollen to the point of being shut. Once more he struggled to stand, forming a few flicker swords behind his back. “Wat are ye wayten fer, you lyttle shyte. FYNYSH THYS!” He shouted angrily towards the Majin. Golden blood poured from his nose, dotting the dark ground. He weakly rose his arm, launching the flickering swords towards the fiend. Gallius used the last of his strength to propel them as hard as he could. With any hope he could give the bitch a scar to remember him by. The knight fell to his knee as the swords impacted. He couldn’t defend against the next onslaught, nor was he likely to survive it. He grinned slightly. At least he would see his people again. He served as well as he could hope to. Even in his death he would know he never let such acts pass, no matter how futile it was to try and stop them. Gallius had no more qualms with death. In the end he would die a hero.
