Raijin had fallen in with space pirates. It was as simple as that. Hera was as good a place as any to get involved with such nefarious deeds. Rai had heard of the misdeeds and bizarre cultural focus on piracy that the planet seemed more than content with keeping strong and ongoing. Rai had come to know the 4-fingered pirate known as Narin the Scourge. He was an admirable fellow. Liked to drink and snort the space equivalent of PCP in heavy doses. His crew was known for being lowlifes and overall scumbags. The halfling had a goal for his adventures in piracy. This was part of his training to prove his usefulness, both to Lute and to Polaris. Rai felt as though he should play both major players, risking prison or death by allying with these criminals.
"Oi! Knife-ear!" Rai heard Narin say. That had become his name on this planet- he had gone by that since coming here. It was fitting. "Y'gotta go'n'get me some more space dust!"
The man held a baggy upside down, shaking it to signify it was empty. Raijin sighed and nodded. "Sure, yeah, just call the guy for me. He's always awkward on the phone. I'm leaving now."
The hybrid made his way out of their hideout, brooding as he did. It had been a few days and nothing interesting had happened. The partying was fun and all, but lately Raijin had been feeling a real pull from his vices. This planet was an epicenter for greed and violence, and it bred betrayal. Someday Rai would return here, set up his own crew. Then he'd plunder the galaxy, swearing allegiance to none. But to do that, he had to play his cards right. Get a bit stronger, learn some real fancy tricks. Play the game.
The halfling loved to gamble. He always thought about it. During fights? Betting. Figuring out the odds. Keeping a good poker face on. In fact, Rai was itching for a fight. Preferably one he could win. But the more he walked, the more he wanted to brawl. It was itching at him that he hadn't done anything but spend time with prostitutes and thugs for days on end.
Rai continued to walk, sighing as he did so. He didn't even sense the individual he rudely walked into, a blonde haired, handsome youth. Rai's expression darkened as he glared at the boy. "Watch it."

V3 had been traveling through space for some time now. He was not sure what he was searching for but the algorithm in his head knew. It ran it's calculation near the bottom of his vision. He did not have to see it. At will he could choose to absorb the information and in a way it was in his head, but he did not like to think about that. He was on autopilot. Allowing his subroutines to guide his path, move his limbs, and act on his behalf. He usually didn't like to do this. It always felt unnatural to him. Would make him weary and anxious, but in the cold unforgiving vacuum of space, he made an exception. He loved space. He loved the feeling of it, as weird as that sounds. He loved the quiet, though it is not truly quiet. Focusing intently on one could hear their own inner workings within the vacuum. Since the body itself is a medium through which sound can travel. He could feel and hear his gears turning, his blood pumping, the ignition of his jets, and so much more. Currently, V made his way to a strange planet he had heard of. His body and clothes were stained with the debris and signs of a battle or more accurately. A slaughter. On the last moon he had gone to he was ambushed by a gang of pirates who aimed to kill him, they didn't. He felt bad for killing them. He did not want to but they kept coming, though they did mention the name of their captain as they called for him. Captain Narin he thought he'd heard them say on that tiny moon. He landed on this strange planet hoping to meet the rest of this crew and inform them of what he'd done. He hoped to talk them out of their way of life and warn them. Bumping into a...person? he attempted to excuse himself. "Watch it." the strange creature said to him. At this point, V3 began to take control of himself. "Uhm, sorry about that. Raijin narrowed his eyes at the youth. Pirates? Really? That was no coincidence. He was looking for them. So, Rai bowed, still upset. His recent set of fights had left him confident. "The name's Knife-Ear. If you're lookin' for pirates, you've got yourself a Captain here. Why are you interested?" Covering for Narin, Rai began to crackle menacingly with ki and electricity. It was obvious he was rearing for a scrap. Life had been unkind to him as of late. The hybrid desired a trial by fire. This youth, whose energy was undetectable, could prove to surprise him. Rai had yet to effectively wipe the floor with someone. He imagined this could be his chance. Above him, clouds began to gather. The crowded street bazaar they had bumped into each other in had been filled with Heran merchants until the clouds gathered. They stuffed their goods into dynocaps and rushed into their homes, finding the drastic shift in weather imposing. Raindrops began to fall, and any that landed on any living creature would imbue them with a crippling effect. This storm continued as lightning began to strike. If the android was not careful, he would find molten hot plasma searing his mechanical equivalent of flesh, threatening to melt him down into scrap metal. V3 stood in the searing rain. He looked up into the sky as he raised his arms to cover his head. It burned as he watched it rain. The pain made him wince at first as some of his silicon-based skin around his arms began to peel off, a first-degree burn. It was an annoying, persistent pain that he could not hide from, it made him angry. Noticing the scare and panic this was causing to other V's expression soured. Lowering his hands he walked calmly and purposely towards the man. "Hey uhh, buddy. You're making a mess. Stop." Standing there, imposing his size over the man he'd hoped they could come to terms. He had decided not to kill anyone. He hated killing, it burned him to his core, far worse than what this rain could do, at least he'd like to think that. Not wanting to stand in this weather for long he decided to give the man a more tangible warning. Before the man could response he crouched into a fighting stance and shot his left arm forward in a jabbing motion, he repeated this about four or five more times in a rapid session. He wanted to punch the man in the mouth, wanted the man to re-think the next actions carefully. "Stand down Captain. I killed your guys. Didn't mean to. I uhmm. Didn't get there names but here" He dropped his pack onto the floor and pulled outset of weapons and belts, laying them on the ground in front of the man's feet. "Go home. Rai felt the first of the set of jabs narrowly graze him, cutting his cheek. This man was fast. Focusing, Rai relied on martial arts training and ki energy to rapidly dodge each individual strike afterwards. They could've hurt had they landed, the knife-eared hybrid knew that. While dodging he allowed the ring around his index finger to gather magical energy, weaving a spell mid-dodge. All of the androids wounds would be worsened by Rai's magical energy as the young warrior prepared for his next technique. Energy crackled and simmered in the palm of his right hand as he prepared his go-to technique, which someone might find... shocking. Okay. Bad pun. Not the right way to do things, but at least he hadn't said it out loud. Much like he intended to not narrate his techique this time. He phased from view, reappearing above the mechanical warrior. The plasma bubbled and churned with malicious intent as it unleashed on the android, hopefully shocking him. If successful Rai would charge through the bolts of lightning, gathering up the latent ki as he did so. The youth would unleash a second, devastating attack as he plummeted towards his foe, aiming to punch the youth directly in the mouth. He was irritated that the blonde android had managed to kill most of his crew. Therefore, he chose to make the difference between them a little more apparent. That was why he had gone in so strong right off the bat. There was no time to waste. For once, Rai was betting on himself. A twinkle of avarice gleamed in his beaming eyes. BATTLE TRACKER

A Torrent of wild and powerful energy wrapped around V3. He had no way to avoid it as the energy shot through his veins, pulsating with power as his body rattled back and forth violently. Recalibrating his sense in tandem with manipulating his own ki he and bunny managed to regain control of his body and limbs, while managing to redirect some of the lightings towards his opponent. Now wrapped in a thin veil of lighting and energy he decided to use it against his opponent. His warnings had failed and his opponent had now proven himself to be deadly and capable. Pooling his ki into his limbs he launched himself towards the Captain and began to fire a wave of fist towards him fast enough to break the sound barrier. Sonic booms now emitted from his fist as they reached full extension. Channeling his energy into his fist he also managed to funnel tendrils of lighting into them as he unleashed his initial barrage. Once the energy dissipated in his hands he would attempt to wrap his arms around his opponent and bring him down into the ground with a vicious slam. "We don't have to do this. Rai managed to dodge the sonic-boom producing flurry of strikes, frustrated as he felt bolts of foreign electricity lightly singe his body. His eyes narrowed as the mechanized fighter tried to grapple him. Rai evaded the grab at the last moment, backpedaling as he did so. The Shinjin hybrid reached into his robe and withdrew a flask, cackling. Tendrils of magic leapt from the bottle as he uncorked it, clawing at Ve. If successful, he would find his energy reserves drained. If not, it could at least look flashy enough for Rai's next technique to land. Bolts of electricity formed in either hand. Rai charged the youth, holding the flickering plasma as if they were stakes. The halfling laughed as he tried pierce both shoulders of the android, aiming to limit his movement even further. Raijin had totally ignored whatever advice the other being tried to give him. He was losing patience very quickly with the world. He only had a short time before he would have to prove his worth to one of two malevolent warriors, much more fearsome than the sole blonde youth in front of him. That was why Rai couldn't afford mercy. Even if it wasn't today, his very life was on the line. Either way, he'd be risking everything everyday. Why not go all out? BATTLE TRACKER

This new opponent was quite nimble and very resourceful, it seemed. He kept using strange items V had never seen before. They made him feel weird. What's worse is that even his computer systems were having trouble understanding the chemical makeup and compositions of these strange items and energies the man was using. Even Bunny had remained uncharacteristically silent. He did not like that. And to make things worse his opponent was not even listening to him. He did not like that or any of the things that were happening. Another strange jolt of energy shot through his entire system. He was confused as to how the man was doing these things or what was happening in this fight. It was hard to defend against something you didn't understand. V3 was beginning to get angry. As the battle raged on he reached into himself using his Ki and summoned the nanobites to begin repairing the internal damages. As he did he extended his arms and quickly clasped them together in front of him. A large sonic boom erupted again rushing forward and moving everything in front of him aside. Raijin ignored the android, paying more attention to his motions. The mechanized fighter clapped his hands together, unleashing a fearsome sonic boom. It brutalized everything around him, Rai had just enough time to put up a guard and minimize the damage he took. He felt the armor on his robes crack, and was knocked back several feet. A few bruises had formed on his forearms underneath his robes as he began crackling with his familiar healing energy. Rai's fists still burned with plasma as he closed the gap between the two, this time taking slow and menacing steps. "It's not about wanting a fight or not. It's about fighting when it's time. And right now is time." The warrior dissipated out of view, appearing in front of the android. He attempted to place a swift punch in his gut, his fist still burning with electricity. From there he would dissipate from view again, this time appearing behind the machine. He put his two hands together and a single bolt of searing light ing arced from his palms. "Stop complaining and focus! You're out here just asking for pirates, how does that help you?" Rai lectured the youthful fighter, hoping to teach him a thing or two about what it meant to live in a world like this. "Stop making yourself known to the world." BATTLE TRACKER

V3 impressed himself. His skin seemed to mold and changed it's composition to adjust to the heat. Whatever Dr. Jacob had done to V had helped him adjust on the fly to these tactics somehow. Though it did seem to also have an effect on Bunny, his friend, and artificial intelligence matrix. He did not like that she'd been quieter these days but He guessed she was busier now. For the youth to think Raijin remotely cared about the lives of some pirates, Rai couldn't help but laugh at how naive Blondie was. Even if he had killed most of the crew, Raijin was learning the ropes from them. There were a million more where they came from scattered across the universe. His opponent began to attack, targetting Rai's diaphragm. The hybrid evaded the techique, moving out of his enemies hitbox. He watched as the man attempted to pin him to the ground, but he was no longer there. He flashed a cocky grin, baring his sharper-than-average canines. "That it? I'm surprised! I never have this much luck!" he bragged, once again sparking with incredible amounts of latent energy. The youthful fighter allowed a basic healing spell to fix up some of the damage he had sustained, as he focused on his next assault. A few bolts of searing plasma were tossed at his opponent, as per the norm with Raijin. But, this time he also wasted no time in uncorking his flask once more, hoping for better luck. As the bolts of electricity careened towards the android, familiar tendrils emerged from Raijin's flask, clawing and scratching at the android. As the black tendrils of mist, fire, and lightning wrapped around his body V3 was beginning to suspect the man didn't like him very much. He stood for a moment contemplating what to do until he realized the mist was interfering with...HIS HAIR!!! Thinking quickly he jumped backward, with enough force to propel a small yacht. As he landed he could feel his muscles beginning to strain. "What the?" He said as his legs buckled slightly under his own weight. "Ohh I see. You're some kind of mean space pirate." Raijin couldn't afford to fool around anymore. The android had seemed to gain his bearings, preparing an incredible attack, propelling towards him. The first barrage was far too much. Rai could barely put up a guard as the devastating technique slammed into him. In fact, only his freshly bolstered strength allowed him to dodge the next attack, albeit barely. He had sustained a nice bit of damage that last assault. The mechanical fighter seemed to be improving. Rai's eyes flashed with malice and destructive intent. The clouds that had gathered earlier began swarming and swirling, thunder bellowing above the pair. "That hurt!" he said, sizzling as a few raindrops fell on him. As he phased back a few feet, Rai made a couple of hand motions and in a moment, two massive bolts of lightning crashed down from the sky. The longer range version of his Shocking Slash, a variant he had created when fighting against Shiva, Durga and Ganesha was a bit less risky than the close range one. Plus, Rai was hurting bad from that last one. This had to be put to an end soon, and this one seemed to be able to take a beating. The Shinjin hybrid cracked his neck in anticipation. BATTLE TRACKER

V closed his eyes now and surrendered his limbs to the algorithms in his head. He always felt tingly when he did this. It was like being on a rollercoaster with no tracks. He never knew what to expect or what would happen next and it was different every time. He did have some control over it. Like a lucid dream, the systems would conform to a basic or simple goal of his whatever that may be. This time it was to not get hit. Earlier he had actually gotten angry at the man for hurting him and he did not like it. Not so much the pain, he could handle that, and not even so much the small man. He was just clearly misguided but his rage. V3 did not like being or getting angry. It was something he tried to avoid and this was his attempt at calming down. Bolts of lighting shriek right past him. He jumped into the air extending his fingers and arm forward towards one of them. Within an instant, the tendril of energy struck the tip of his finger and the force shot his arm towards his chest. As the energy coursed through him he took it into himself, energizing himself, and tucking his limbs inwards to perform a series of flips and spins mid-air, dodging lightning and propelling himself towards his opponent as he did. Eventually, he unfurled but this time it would be to catch yet one more bolt of lighting and redirect it towards his opponent! When the android attempted to redirect a stream of lightning, Raijin scoffed. That was his domain. The man spun through the air towards Rai and tossed a bolt of energy at him. Rai waved his hand, it dissipating in front of him. What surprised the hybrid was the left cross that the mechanized fighter had come in with afterwards, careening towards him. Focusing his energy, the electrically-charged warrior phased from view, appearing behind his opponent. This would have to be his second time unleashing a devastating attack. Moving and fighting at this pace was definitely starting to effect his energy reserves, and Rai felt like he was almost more injured than the other fighter. Without a doubt, he would have to change this. Focusing his energy, he began to prepare his next spell. A catalyst would be required for this, however, and Rai knew that this next spell was a little risky. It was a combination type spell in which he imbued his lightning with a few other elements, injuring and debilitating his foe in various ways. He had two glass orbs saved just for this occasion. He withdrew one of them and began pouring magical energy into it. Within a second, a swirling cloud of miasmic lightning began to crackle and churn inside of the glass. Rai didn't waste a moment. Phasing backwards, Rai tossed the glass at the youth's feet, hoping that the spell was effective. This was a bit of a dirty trick that Raijin hadn't even really used yet. V3 blinked in surprise as his lightning redirect failed. He was impressed not that he had time to be impressed as he spun into his next attack. Bracing himself he gathered his energy for his next attack only to have his enemy dissipate before his eyes. It did not make any sense. Was he fast? Was V getting slower? He could feel his muscles begin to ache and groan from the exertion. "One good punch. Just one good punch" He said to himself. A strange ebon orb shattered at V's feet as he twisted around to face his opponent as a mysterious cloud enveloped him entirely. The strange dust and mist was inescapable as he attempted to swipe it away. For a moment V braced himself thinking it was a distraction but when no attack came and his sensors started to detect his energy reserves being drained he changed tactics. Switching to thermal vision he locked onto Raijin's body. He clasped his hands together and jumped into the air, he would attempt to use the concealment of the mist to his advantage. From the outside looking in he appeared as a raging tornado. He spun viciously towards the enemy, extending his leg at the last minute to deliver repeated series of kicks and knees as he spun circles around the enemy. Raijin hardly had a moment to put up his guard as the supercharged android slammed into him, rebreaking a few of his ribs and cracking the bone in his wrist. He yelled in pain, glaring at the youth as he barely managed to regain his composure. The series of strange tornado kicks had left him reeling in pain. Raijin saw as the being began to take in more energy, before charging at him, attempting a grapple. Despite his injuries, Rai managed to rapidly dodge the technique, drawing from his reserves of strength. “Th-that was much better!” he coughed out, blood staining his robes. He reached into his pouch and withdrew the second orb, laughing hysterically. Raijin felt himself finally enjoying himself. Despite the detriments applied to his foe, he still managed to fight hard back at him. Raijin was impressed. Clearly, him disposing of the other pirates he had allied himself with was no joke. He threw the orb at his opponent, hoping that the second spell-infused glass ball shattered and had a more significant effect on his opponent. This fight was weighing on him heavily. As the strange wizard pirate man reached into his robes to pull out another one of his strange orb things V3 prepared himself. For a moment he hesitated. His sensors registered the cracking of several bones from his last attack. He did not want to hurt the man or kill him but somehow his opponent was still standing. Analyzing him from top down he could see that somehow is musculature system was repairing itself. He could not explain it. A scan of his physiology did not explain these anomalies either. At least that is what the report in V's head display suggested. He did not know what any of it meant. At least he would have an idea if he paid attention to it but he was more worried and concerned then anything else. As the next orb came at him he baseball slid towards it, grabbing it in one hand before it hit the ground and then tossing it into the sky as he slid fast enough to reach escape velocity, within seconds it would erupt or pass through in the planets atmosphere. Extending his free hand he ignited a ball of ki to rocket him towards his foe at subsonic speeds. He flipped up and onto his feet once he got within 5 feet. The resulting shock wave from the impact would send the man flying into the ski like a catapult and from there v would fire a volley ok Ki blast, set to stun, against his foe. Rai cursed as his makeshift magic grenade missed horribly, the android rocketing towards him with a devastating ground stomp. He narrowly avoided being sent into the air by the technique and barely regathered himself as he eyed the youth, Rai beginning to crackle fiercely with lightning. V fired a volley of ki blasts at Rai, and Raijin escaped them, phasing towards the android. He focused some of his remaining strength and unleashed it, a storm of thunder and lightning hurtling towards the mechanical warrior. "Shocking slash!" As this happened, the storm above them regained intensity, the cursed rain drizzling down on the field of battle. If that was successful, Rai would refocus a smaller portion of his energy into a searing ki blast, targetting the boy. This fight had been going on for far too long. His power was dwindling, and despite the multiple injuries they both had sustained it didn't seem to be ending anytime soon. This scuffle was taking some time. How much more would this boy be able to take? Rai eyed the destruction around him. The small street they had been fighting on had seen better days. Lights flickered on and off, buildings were on fire... For someone who seemed peaceful, this kid had done a number on this place alongside him. If he wasn't such a pretty-boy, Rai might've tried to recruit him. A big bruiser can have their uses. But it was time to end this. BATTLE TRACKER

As the waves of force and energy rocked V's limbs back and forth. As he struggled to maintain his footing. V3 struggled to get to his feet from the blow, circuits starting to fry as he outermost layer of skin began to peel off. Taking a knee he stopped before he mad his next move. Starting to realize what he had been doing to the town they were in a wave of pain and shame brushed against him. As he rose from the ground he surveyed the area with his scanners. He found one man under rubble and debris. Placing his weight under him he bolted towards the man, running right past his opponent as he did. He took in a deep breath and blew aside the flames in the area, reached into the rubble and lifted the man free. He then turned around to do another quick scan, luckily it seemed that most people had cleared the area by now. "Hey man. This fights messin everything up. Like you're not even getting anything done here." He hung his head in shame for a moment. Before dropping the man to the side. He began to walk forward in a calm manner. "Look bro. I'm gonna give you one last chance to live a better life. No one's having fun if your dead. Right now I am gonna punch you and tomorrow you're gonna be better for it" Taking his stance he leaped forward in front of his opponent and began to unleash a series of left handed jabs followed by right handed combos. three sets of these would be followed by a flying knee to the face which he would convert into a super man ouch in mid air.
