The three of you break ranks, each one jetting off to a generator, intent on tackling each one solo. All of you achieve at least some measure of success, damaging the shielding of the generators, but by yourselves, you are unable to take them down in one go. As you attack, the automated turrets that provide point defense for the generators hum to life. The greater battle rages all around you. The explosions from ships being destroyed illuminates the void. Cam, you hear Onyon's voice crackle over your scouter. "Keep up the good work! We've got them handled up here for now. Once one of the other generators goes down that should open up enough of the ship for us to begin our bombardment. A behemoth like that ship isn't going down in just one salvo!"After that, it's too difficult to focus on any words as the point defense weapons attack you all. Thankfully they seem relatively straight forward; unlike many of the ki users you are used to dealing with, these don't have a deep bag of tricks. These are simply guns... But then again, being simple means they can be very effective. Each of the turret batteries hits you with a nigh unavoidable salvo, then proceeds to fire short but damaging bursts at each of you in the attempt to bring you down before you can damage the ship any further. Mr. Cam's Reluctant Pupil This was a mistake. A terrible mistake. It would be the worst mistake in history if the person committing was not a complete nobody. Absolut's hammer smash not only did not manage to destroy the shield generator, but also prompted a harsh response from the turrets defending the generator, which were now able to fire back before being destroyed. A massive salvo of practically unavoidable slugs and energy shots flew towards the young Frost Demon, and though Absolut did his best to dodge as many as he could, the rest easily blew him away, sending him slamming into a steel plated wall and leaving a Frost Demon-shaped hole inside. Any more of these salvos, and he's dead. Very dead. This was a mistake. I should flee. I should find Cam, stick by his side and-Absolut's hand expressed its opposition by slapping his face in the cheek. "No!" the Frost Demon exclaimed to himself. "I'm not... going to be a frightened child anymore... I'm here to prove that I'm not..." Absolut slowly crawled out of the hole, the shield generator once again visible to his eyes. An energy construct rapier formed in the Frost Demon's hand. I'm here to prove that I can be something my father could not. A real hero. Not just a fake. And I can't do that if I run away.
I'll destroy this shield generator... and only then I can rest.
Don't run, Absolut... You're a hero and heroes cannot lose. With a slightly frail battle-cry, the Frost Demon charged forward, rapier in hand, and began to slash at the shield generator with all of the might he still had left. (278 words) Out of Battle Stats:

It was too much, and her attacks not enough. As she hurled what seemed to be an onslaught of energy attacks towards the enemy, it barely made a scratch. Gears wirled and buzzed as a closeby defense turret locked onto the Earthling’s body. She was paralyzed, by the sheer size of the thing, she knew what kind of firepower it could produce. How ignorant was the woman to go off on her own, and on top of that, Absolut she had left alone.
Wide eyes grew even further open as the generous salvos of energy ripped through the air towards her frame. Quickly the woman held up an arm, a shield emitting from her forearm to deflect most of the damage from the attack. However, her body was still hurled in the opposite direction. She burst through a sheet of solid metal and wiring before digging herself out of the premature grave…
“Damn you,” Meiku mumbled, another attack soon came for her however. This time, she managed to move out of the way, but barely. The Earthling jumped to her feet and booked it for the portal, however her end destination quickly changed. She focused on the frost demon’s energy and soon walked through a portal next to him.
She immediately locked onto his target and began to fire away. With hands full of orange colored mysticism, she began to hurl chaotic blasts towards the turret. If they managed to hit, they would explode on contact with a massive concussive blast. BATTLE TRACKER

Wait! Cam's mind reeled as his feet pressed into the metal grating of the ship's floor, halting his advance. He could feel and see all the unique energy signatures of lifeforms on this ship, though there was a lot of interference from all the various forms of technology that made up this ship. Still, he could feel Meiku and Absolut's energy signatures flicker under duress. That was when he saw the automated defenses in front of him guarding the generator he was attacking open fire. A an arm whipped up like an angry python, cracking against shots of energy to send they ricocheting off the back of his palm, and Cam was gone just as quickly as he had come, retracing his steps and using his scouter to trace Meiku's location, he was on a lower floor of the ship, though that wouldn't deter him. Once the Emperor was below Absolut and Meiku, he would simply fly upwards. Sheets of metal and girders buckled under the Kabochans immense strength as he surged through several levels of flooring to emerge from out of the floor right in front of Meiku and Absolut, it was actually probably quite horrifying until they realized it was Cam coming to their aid. Stepping off to one side he looked over at Absolut, tossed the arcosian child a dark brown segment of what looked almost like black licorice root, "Eat it, trust me!" Cam said before he he looked towards Meiku, "We need to stand together, we underestimated our foe, just for a second. We fight as one and work our way through this ship together," his orders given, "Both of you, stay close, I'm going to attack, both of you might want to cover your ears," Cam suggested as he gathered up his psychic energy Cam would loose a scream before invisible waves of kinetic force ripped forward towards the generator and automated defenses that still needed to be destroyed, wave after wave threatening to rip apart this entire section of the ship. A few minutes ago...
"Father," Colla said.
She watched the battle against the experimental Ikondan ship unfold. Both of her arms were folded and she couldn't the nagging sense of frustration creeping up inside. Normally she kept her mouth shut when Supreme Commander was working. But, this was getting to be a bit absurd.
"Don't you think it's a bit unfair for us to sit up here while Emperor Carambolis is out on the front-lines?"
The grizzled Saiyan had been busy orchestrating the attacks, probably with little moment to think about how it may mar his reputation. Then again, he didn't care much about that kind of thin anyway. Ever the pragmatist. He pointed and commanded his ships to move into a wedge position, they were going to break through the fighters with overlapping fields of point-defense fire. A majority of the crewmen were xenos, all of variety of shapes and sizes. The Dominion was ran by the Saiyans, but they didn't turn anyone down who wanted a seat at the table. A lot of them were good men who had suffered far too much at the hands of the Frieza Force. The Dominion had made the hard move against the tyrants and earned far more friends than enemies in the early years.
But, sometimes the galaxy could be a polarizing place. The flow of recruits had been staved since the whole debacle with the freshly anointed Galactic Empire. Colla wondered if the entire idea of a galaxy united under Saiyan rule and protection was a pipe dream. If it was pointless. Brokering peace wasn't something Saiyans were used to. They were far too feisty, far too hungry for war and battle. It was in their veins.
Some in the Dominion saw that. Queen Radia was ambitious, but disconnected from her people's real concerns. Colla admired the woman for her power and her grace, but often thought she left her warriors hanging far too long. Until recently, she had been gone off on some forlorn training trip. Strength meant a lot, but at the cost of guidance? Commander Taro had died. So many others. Kabocha had been lost.
For what?
Regardless, Colla was loyal to her father and to her people. She was here as a sacrificial lamb, a way for the Dominion to solidify their alliance. Onyon hadn't dreamed up the idea, she had. And he could see that during their encounter the Kabochan Emperor had tested his patience and his pride. But, the Black Lightning had seen his share of war and bloodshed. He was the type that only fought the good fight, the one he thought right.
Keeping the Kabochan's in chains didn't serve the Dominion in the least bit.
"What do you suggest?" Onyon said and turned to her.
"Let me lend a hand."
Onyon perked an eyebrow. "How can you help? We're in a full engagement here."
"They're getting chewed up by those point-defense guns and are trapped inside of the shields. If we focus fire on one of the shield sections we can bring it down long enough for me to slip in unnoticed using one of the new stealth pods."
The Supreme Commander barked some more orders and then rubbed his stubble laden chin, thinking about her plan for a few moments. "Don't you think that the Emperor will see that as an affront?"
Colla shrugged. "At first, maybe. But, if we're going to secure this alliance through a marriage proposal, I think he should also know what his potential wife is capable of."
Onyon's cruiser focused its fire onto an upper section of shielding. The Ikondans were no doubt be confused about this strategy. It wasn't optimal, and they thought of precision before all else. Bringing down a single section of shield would be a fleeting thing over the course of a fleet engage. It was far better to spread the damage over a wider area and tax the generators until they overheated or gave out. In this case they would part the defensive sea for a brief moment.
Sizzling bolts of plasma rained down, one after another until the section collapsed. Only to reform mere seconds later just as it had been. Yet, in those seconds a needle shaped space pod had slipped through. Equipped with stealth technology, it went undetected as it thudded into the outer hull, using kinetic force to burrow its way in. Gel sprayed out and made a seal, so that the compartments inside didn't decompress. The hatch opened and Colla clamored out into the belly of the beast. Ikonda ship design was all smooth chrome and sleek lines. Quite stylish, if not a little egalitarian in its manifestation. Nothing stood out, nothing was unique. It would be easy to get lost in the honeycomb of chambers.
Her power level was detected as soon as she emerged from the pod. Clad in her armored vac-suit, she charged down corridor. Ikondan troopers emerged to intercept her. Each one was stronger than the average Saiyan warrior. Good thing Colla was the daughter of the Black Lightning and not some weakling rabble.
Twin ki fuchsia blades erupted from both of her hands. She weaved her way through the lot of them, deflecting their ki blasts, chopping limbs, slashing necks. She was a whirling dervish of destruction, but unlike most Saiyans--she had precision.
After felling the opposition, she checked her wrist computer, displaying a holographic map. Much of it was an educated guess from her father's ship scans. The point-defense systems on the ship were mostly analog, to prevent hacking and systems infiltration. They had isolated targeting computers, communicating only through line of sight laser-relay. Redundant tech, was the best kind of tech for the purpose. Ikondans could get fancy, but only where it made sense.
However, the trio of them that battered the Emeperor's squad were all interlinked to the same power source. A slight flaw perhaps, but giving each turret their own special reactor would have been far too expensive. Even for a giant mother ship project like this.
Blades still buzzing, she cut open a section of the bulkhead and kicked it in, forcing it to land with a resounding thud. The power conduit lay behind inches deep of katchin mesh. Her ki blades wouldn't do the job here, so she dismissed them, pulling out a small cylinder from her utility belt. She pressed against the conduit shielding and activated it, flickering from sight and ducking behind cover. The white flare of super-heated plasma filled the chamber, along with a shrieking and hissing noise as it burned its way through the cross section. It then exploded inward with a violent burst, cutting off the power flow.
The entire experimental ship rocked from the force of the force of the sudden detonation.
Cam, Meiku, and Absolut would notice the defense turrets stop shortly after. Not just the three they faced, but also dozens more along the length of the great vessel. It gave them a moment of reprieve.
A moment ended as Ikondan troopers emerged to repel the invaders by hand, blasters leveled. Until Colla swept in from behind and mopped them up. She used the zero-grav environment to her advantage, weaving death in a flurry. She rolled and flowed, using her ki to adjust her trajectory between targets and to avoid harm.
Since no voice could be heard in a hard vacuum, she opened a scouter channel to the trio.
After a chuckle she said, "Emperor, I'm here to help. My name is Colla, daughter of the Supreme Commander. I think we have a shield generator destroy, do we not?"

Mr. Cam's Reluctant Pupil
"HAAAAAAA!!"
Absolut screamed at the top of his lungs, a rapier at hand and a sudden fiery determination in his eyes. His weak, but working ki sense informed the Frost Demon that Meiku and Cam were coming towards him, one with the help of portals and the other the old fashion flying way. Maybe the more sensible choice would be to take this opportunity and not rush the shield generators while you were still severely wounded - however, Absolut's charge showed not a single hint of hesitation, as if for a moment, his weak, frail mind had stepped aside to let a brave and bold warrior take the reins.
With a wide arc, the Frost Demon swung the sharp energy blade forward, instantly cutting through the outer layers of the generator armor and letting the small child barrel inside, where he continued slashing through until the entire machine was reduced to nothing more but pieces and mush. The few remaining Ikondan soldiers aboard the ship opened fire on Absolut with their blasters right before Colla swept through them, but those blasters shots were enough. One hit the Frost Demon in the thigh, and while it wasn't enough to pierce his skin or leave more than an itchy burn, it disrupted Absolut's momentum and sent him rolling across the air - not good at all, especially since he had little control over his movement even before that. Unable to turn in mid-air, Absolut slammed face-first into the ship's hull, leaving a teenager-sized hole and clinging onto it.
Soon, all of the pain and agony he had briefly forgotten in his berserk charge came back in one internal assault, leaving Absolut slumped in the hole he had just made, wincing and barely breathing.
Thankfully, he was no longer alone. Meiku emerged from her portals, and Cam burst in from the depths of the ship. His sudden arrival almost made him seem like an enemy - but, thankfully, he was only hurrying to come here as soon as possible, apparently, and even tossed Absolut a weird room which, according to him, would make his condition better.
R-really?..
It's not like he had much of a choice but to accept. A sentence which describes Absolut's entire time in Kabocha, really. The root fell into the Frost Demon's stretched out palm, and Absolut lifted it up, weakly crunching on it. Suddenly, a surge of life rose across his entire body, wounds fixed up, bones snapped back in place, and his stamina recovered to what it was at the beginning of the fight. The Frost Demon stood up, staring at his arms and body in disbelief for a few seconds, before taking off from the hole and catching up to Cam.
The defense stations were no longer working, the Ikondan soldiers were eliminated, the shield generators were destroyed. It was sad for Absolut to see so much wanton destruction and death - he could only hope that it couldn't have been avoided - but at this point, he knew better than to question what was happening around him.
"Mr. Cam, we did it!" Absolut exclaimed, enthusiastically. "I'm sorry for being such a nuisance in this whole fight, though... I ran off because I tried to impress you and everyone else, but I only ended up making it worse..."

Cam felt his power rising, he had hit his apex--about to change, publicly, for the first time before he heard Colla's voice over his scouter transmission. Heightened senses and the ability to see ki energy allowed Cam to watch the power drain away from Ikondan defenses--though he didn't need special sight to understand what had happened, whatever power system that supported their weapons systems had been destroyed. This ship would be theirs, Kabochans knew all about piracy and salvaging of Ikondan technology, this ship was on an entirely different level though. With no immediate threat, whatever reflex Cam had gained that allowed him to change stopped flexing, just for a moment though his aura had flared a brilliant silver, his eyes had whited out, darkened red and blue markings hand twisted over Cam's skin. It was only for a few seconds, but it spoke of something the Emperor had yet to reveal to the galaxy at large, some font of power that he had yet to reach for, though it slipped away to remain hidden. The Saiyan Dominion likely already knew he could match a super Saiyan in a fight, he had done it several times and remained intact and even a victor in a few of those brawls, "Looks like the Dominion held up their end of the bargain after all, I was beginning to think this might have been a trap," the tone of displeasure in Cam's voice was sharp as a knife, though it quickly returned to normality as he shifted to look at Absolut, "Not quite. Their defense systems are off, but the shields are still up." Looking towards Meiku, Cam offered a thumbs up, "Nice portal work by the by. Looks like we all got a clear shot at our targets, we better take it while we can," Cam stated as he leveled a palm and pointed it at the next closest generator, many layers of reinforced and energy resistant metals. With a burst of energy, he blew the piece of machinery into nothing, a white silvery arc of energy ripped its way through machine and circuitry until it hit home in Cam's original targeted generator. The piece of technology shattering before promptly exploding as Cam looked towards Meiku, "There's one more generator. Care to do the honors?" he asked, before he reached up to his scouter, opened his communication channel and heaved a dejected sigh, "I didn't know Onyon had a daughter," Cam stated, "We're mopping it up now. Thanks for the assist," though his tone seemed to suggest he was somehow disappointed that the Saiyans weren't the perceived violent savages the universe tended to try and paint them as, "We have a way off this ship, though I wager you already knew that. You'll want to make your way to us, unless you've something special in mind saiyan." the Kabocha declared this last sentence with a matter of fact tone, though the question on his mind right now, was whether or not anyone had noticed the slip in power that had occurred, if only for a few seconds.

Meiku had successfully made her way through her portal and to Absolut’s side. The lad seemed worse for wear as he sat. There was a subtle heavint to his small chest, however it was faint. Luckily, the emperor of Kabocha appeared and saved the day. With the aid of a small root, the boy seemed to spring back to his former glory, in some capacity at least.
The Earthling however turned her attention to Cam; she hadn’t recognized the voice over their communication devices at first; but she soon introduced herself as the daughter of the Supreme Commander. They were confident enough to send such precious cargo? No, this woman was more than capable of fighting her own battles. That much was noticeable as she took out an entire row of armed Ikondan’s.
A sudden pang of uselessness filled the woman’s head. He earlier attacks upon the generators seemed to be useless, yet here she was---taking them down entire power systems with ease. Meiku’s brows furrowed as Cam mumbled some words to her. In a daze she hardly noticed his voice. Quickly, the raven-haired woman perked up and noticed the compliments he offered.
“Oh, the portals? That’s nothin’,” almost bashfully she retorted to the emperor who then left the last of the generators to her to her to handle. She ran towards the unguarded bulwark. Nimble fingernails dug under the raw metal and pried open the terminal exposing many wires and electronic guts.
The inner workings of the generators all made sense now. As she looked at the framework she understood everything at a fundamental and operational level. All it took was one snip, a single green wire. The last of the shields guarding the ship were now eliminated.
“Aight, time to head out?”
Meiku waved her hand, yet another portal opening up behind the group. She waited, unsure if the Saiyan warrior would join them, however--as soon as they all jumped through the rift they would appear back before Commander Onyon, ready for debriefing of their mission. Lute Cam Emperor Absolut

Colla sighed with relief inside of her mask once the shield array went down. As soon did, the Saiyan fleet began hammering away. The entire Ikondan ship rocked and shuttered as concentrated plasma fire pelted it. They weren't shots meant to destroy, rather to disable. The engine blocks went first, erupting into great plumes of flame and escaping atmospher.
The Saiyan warrior tapped a button on her wrist computer, her boots buzzing with electromagnetic energy to keep her pinned to ship's hull. She heard Cam's message loud and clear. "Headed to you now."
The Ikondan's were starting to jump ship, like the gross cybernetic rats they were. Well, she guessed they were more crustaceans than rats, but the analogy held in her mind. Escape pods and shuttles streaked away from the belly of the big vessel, shimmering specks among the black of the void. Commander Onyon belayed any attack against their retreat. There was no honor in cutting down a defeated foe. She held her breath as he ran along the length of the vessel to where the trio were forming up to evacuate.
It was the moment of truth. Were the Ikondans going to scuttle the ship? If so they probably had seconds before annihilation.
Those seconds ticked away and she arrived just as Meiku opened the crackling rift. So the hive-mind bastards didn't blow their ship to oblivion. What a dumb move.
That is because it would be gifted to Cam and turned against them in the future, without a doubt. Kabocha and Ikodan didn't ever stop being at war. It would go on for eternity until one side fell to the other. In the hands of the Kabochan military and the Crusher Corps, the experimental cruiser would be one of the most state of the art war vessels in the galaxy. Maybe somewhere in their collective consciousness the Collective expected to come back and reclaim the ship with force. She didn't blame them for keeping that sort of hope. No doubt the thing had been extremely expensive to plan and build. But, they were fools for underestimating the Emperor.
Colla had never traveled via portal or teleportation before. She hesitated a moment and finally allowed herself to exhale. With a silent prayer and eyes closed, she pushed herself into the swirling vortex.
It felt like she was being sucked through a straw, spiraling, twisting, turning and then--
She was standing on the bridge once again, her magnetic driven footsteps thundering onto the deck. She disabled the charge and reached up, clicking the side of her helmet. The gas inside released with a hiss and she pulled it off, her mane of black hair cascading out.
Onyon loomed at the view-port, studying the smoldering ship, face all hard lines and dark leering eyes. The rear half of it had been reduced to slag from the bombardment, so it wasn't going anywhere. It would take some considerable work to get it operational again. But, it was no doubt worth it in the long run, if the Emperor had the patience.
"Get some lines onto that ship. We're going to tow it back to Kabocha. The ship is yours Emperor," Onyon said. "A measure of good faith between us. Also--"
He turned and strode forward, clapping his big mitt like hand onto Colla's shoulder. "We wish to further extend our offer after seeing you in action. We want to secure this alliance for years to come. My daughter here, as you may have seen, is a fine warrior and skilled tactician. She is a natural leader as well. If you would have her as your wife, our allegiance would be set in stone. So long as one of us rules by your side, we shall be an unstoppable force in this galaxy."
Colla smiled at Cam, her eyes wide with excitement at the notion. "Don't for a minute think that my father is peddling me off to you. I was the one that suggested the idea. I admit, perhaps in conquering Kabocha we Saiyans were bit too hasty in the way we assimilated your planet into our ranks. Perhaps there was a better way, and that should have been liberation not occupation. The Dominion wishes to see a galaxy secure and at peace, under leadership that is truly strong enough to protect it. The Galactic Patrol have been ineffectual, and now they have gone the way of a relentless autocracy in their desperation to remain the top dogs. The Frieza Force only wished to squeeze resources from those they ruled. And they did, to the point that the fruit of their bounty withered and died. Now they are defunct. We wish to elevate all that allow pledge their loyalty to us. That is the Saiyan way after all, always getting stronger, always improving."

By all accounts the Emperor should have been, well, giddy. He had just forged an truce with the Saiyan Dominion, now cane the opportunity to solidify that truce into something much more affirming, much stronger and far more powerful. Suddenly the initial insult of not seeing Radia here herself wasn't so stinging. They were trying to measure the Kabochan and appeared to like what they see. Cam opened his mouth to speak, then thought better of it. He laughed--not a humorous laugh mind you, one could sense there was some measure of anxiety that had suddenly struck the Kabochan. The cautious part of his brain begged him to say no; she was everything Onyon promised and likely more, but that meant she was a blade at Cam's throat that the Dominion could try and use to execute him at any point in time he got uppity. In truth the Kabochan had never intended on getting married, and if he did he likely wouldn't have been faithful, he was still quite a young man and cared to have, if not a long life, definitely a busy and full one. Yet were this offer truly genuine, passing it up could mean insulting a potentially monolithic ally, and for some reason Cam's eyes drifted to the Saiyan woman, a single thought crept across the forefront of Cam's mind: She just might make a good empress. "Nice to meet you too," Cam said finally towards Colla, "Anyone ever tell you that you come on a little strong?" At least his temperament towards the Saiyans seemed to have mellowed, "To be frank I hadn't considered the notion of marriage seriously. I'm a very... Organic person, I suppose you could say. I like to let things flow naturally, but," and anyone who knew Cam and was paying attention would be able to notice the switch. His posture became a little taller, his stance a little less guarded, more open, his eyes leveling on Onyon now, "Your daughter is quite beautiful and clearly a talented enough warrior," his gaze a little more predatory as he looked back at Colla, though he was careful to veil such things with honeyed words when he could, "But perhaps we should take a moment to let the dust settle before we both do something we can't take back, hrm?" He had been trying to sell the notion to the Saiyans that they needed him more than he needed them, perhaps he had sold that idea a little too much, despite any red warning flags that came to the Kabochans mind he didn't seem entirely closed off to the idea, he just didn't want to force it. He would want a chance to speak with Colla, alone, in neutral and entirely truthful terms. He would never subject a woman to himself without first having her entirely understand just who he was and what he was capable of. A sudden question ticked into Cam's brain, "Out of curiosity though, are you one of those fabled super Saiyans? I'd like another shot at one sometimes, the first fight I ever had with one was... A little bit of a let down, if I'm being honest, though I don't think he was Dominion."

Meiku hadn’t thought much about the commander sending his own daughter to their aid---frankly, she was pretty oblivious when it came to politics. However, give her a goal and she would blow away a space fleet with extreme precision. The nuances of talk and lobbying however, those fell on deaf ears with the Earthling. After stepping through the portal they were back in the presence of the brute of a Saiyan, his guard, and his rather beautiful warrior daughter.
However, once safely aboard the ship, it was clear that there were always hidden agendas beneath. They offered the remnants of the plasma melted ship, but also offered something much more valuable. A body.
Still, this body was no mere mercenary or talent, she was asking to be Cam’s wife. Meiku stood there agasp; it felt as if the woman was watching a live reenactment of a daytime soap opera. She sunk back away from the exchanges the others had. It wasn’t her place to come into such a conversation, besides--she hadn’t much input either. The emperor’s affairs were his and his own, her own thoughts or feelings of the arrangement were unnecessary.
Colla too expressed her interest in being his bride---it was a rather odd situation. Currently Meiku found her gray orbs marveling the smoldering ship they held in tow. She only hoped that Onyon wouldn’t go back on his offer if Cam shot down his daughter.
Cam didn’t however----he didn’t turn her down, no. Still, he didn’t accept her proposal either. Like the rationally thinking leader he was, he declined for the time being. Instead, he boasted about wanting to fight a ‘Super Saiyan’.

Mr. Cam's Reluctant Pupil
With the battle dealt with, the Ikondans evacuating from the ship and the remains of the vessel starting to be towed back towards Kabocha to be repaired and turned to the Kabochan Emperor's newest weapons, Meiku opened a portal to ferry her and the rest of the team, as well as Colla, back to the bridge of Supreme Commander Onyon's ship. And Absolut with it. Immediately after being transported back to safety, the young Frost Demon plopped down on the ground, all of the exhaustion, pain and strain he had ignored in the heat of battle coming back in a single instant.
Despite the pain, despite having been pushed to the brink mere minutes ago, and despite the loss of life happening around him, Absolut felt happy. His first real taste of battle might not have been as successful or victorious as he wished it to be, but, first, he didn't end up dying, and second, he managed to take down a shield generator, despite being, objectivey, the weakest in this entire mission! And that's what mattered the most.
And this is only the beginning, right? His training under Duria and tutelage under Mr. Cam were far from over.
Immersed deep in his thoughts, Absolut paid little to no attention to what was happening around him - even though he really should have. Something about Super Saiyans and Kabocha and organics and daughters... shouldn't really be relevant, right?

Supreme Commander Onyon held his hands out to Cam, as if to say hold on a sec.
"This is very sudden, obviously, Emperor. We wouldn't expect you to have an answer right now. I think our truce is good enough. We Saiyans wish to help build a better future for Kabocha along side you is all. We can reconvene on this at a later date, perhaps. Just think on it for now."
Colla cheeks warmed as she studied Cam more. The confidence and power he exhibited was attractive. He wasn't ugly either. That helped. Her idea for marriage had been one purely of strategic importance. She didn't expect an arranged marriage to be perfect either. But, it didn't hurt to stick yourself a powerful handsome man. Didn't hurt one bit. She hoped he accepted it.
She found her eyes meeting the floor at his question, a bit bashful. "Me, a Super Saiyan?"
The woman had fought hard, struggled to reach the level of Super Saiyan. She knew others had, beside the Queen. Commander Taro--before his untimely death. Neither she or her father could reach the form. Her father was more than strong enough in his base form, but there was something there--something blocking the ascension. Even her brother Dill, wherever the hell the big bastard was, couldn't ascend, and he was stronger than both of them.
"N-No. Not yet. I have been training for it for a long time though."
"We have shuttles ready to take you back to your ship," her father said. "Whenever you're ready. I'm glad you decided to take this route. I'm glad we didn't spill each other's blood this day."
