Another day, another scheduled match between a member of the Imperial Armed Forces with the new Emperor. Lots of people were itching to meet their new overlord in person, get to know him more personally and see how he stacks up in comparison to his father. His mother, Imperial Regent Eis, would filter out a few of the least important or most threatening offers, but for the most part, Absolut's career as the Emperor has been marked by constant fighting, sparring, and usually getting beaten. At least it was something he actually knew, even though he didn't exactly prefer this boss rush going for weeks. God forbid he had to instead work out his tax plan or meddle in intergalactic politics, he knew absolutely nothing about actual statecraft. And he needed all the strength he could get both to reapply for the Galactic Patrol and to make a difference for thousands of lives as a hero... So, sure, keep the requests flowing. Today, Absolut stood in the training grounds of Planet Mitra awaiting an Ultramarine commander who introduced herself in the request as "Kusubu". Absolut did not know much about her, but she had apparently made herself a name as a loyal and competent Ultramarine and one of his father's closest aides - so it makes sense that she would want to measure up against her new boss and see if her oaths of loyalty should be renewed. Commander Kusubu walked silently towards Mitra’s training ground. She was looking forward to sparring with the new Emperor of the Galaxy because she was very curious about how his strength stacked up against his father’s. She had experience Polaris’ power firsthand, so hopefully his son wouldn’t disappoint.
It didn’t take her much longer to arrive at her destination. She made her way onto the training grounds swiftly, walking over to who she assumed to be her opponent. Once she was within two meters of him, she’d stop. Her eyes scanned him from head-to-toe, and she felt his energy... he was weaker than her! Not by much, but still weaker. With that in mind, she still wouldn’t underestimate his skill in combat. She knew better than that. “I believe this is the first time we’ve met.” She remarked, keeping her glowing blue eyes locked onto him. She had seen him before, but for whatever reason, a formal meeting never took place... until then. “I am Commander Kusubu. Just call me Kusubu... and please, don’t give me a nickname. I fucking /hate/ nicknames.” It is very obvious that she doesn’t have a filter.
The short demoness stood there waiting for a response. Immense heat radiated from her small body as always, and she was wearing her Ultramarine uniform.

The first thing which Absolut noted as soon as Kusubu stepped into the training chamber was the notable heat which the Ultramarine radiated from her body. The sealed off room immediately started turning warmer, droplets of water were collecting on the windows installed in the walls. Absolut wasn't exactly uncomfortable - Frost Demons such as himself are built to withstand conditions much tougher than this - but it was still something he noted instantly as a sign that this opponent was going to bring something new to the table. The second thing which he noted was that, after introducing herself, Commander Kusubu immediately followed it up with several swears and curses... including the F-word, too. It might sound surprising, but despite having gotten pushed through the worst of Galactic society during the last year, Absolut didn't hear people openly cursing in front of him all that often - and good for him, because... he didn't like that at all. " Um, Ms. Kusubu..." Absolut spoke up. " Maybe you should... consider not saying those bad words in front of me, please?" The young Frost Demon pulled out his Sword of Greenskull and stood in a lowered defensive sword stance. Either way, the battle was about to begin. Defensive Phase

She raised a single brow at his request. Polaris /never/ told her to stop cursing, so she really didn’t expect Absolut to do it. “You want me to stop using ‘bad words’ in your presence? Tch, I will /try/ to respect your request.” She can make no guarantees regarding her use of curse words. At this point, it’s something she just does instinctively. She will openly admit that she uses the word ‘fuck’ as often as the word ‘and’ in her daily life. Shortly after finishing her response to his request, she would get down into a fighting stance of her own, “I better not be disappointed after this fight, Absolut.” She remarked before starting off their spar with a bang.
She takes in a long, drawn-out deep breath before firing a massive flume of blue flames directly at the Emperor with the intent to burn him. She would follow this up with an intense barrage of neon blue flame-like ki blasts, all aimed for Absolut’s chest area. These first few attacks were made to show off her power and abilities centered around the use of her biological flames. She hoped that Absolut would find a creative way to counter these attacks… but she shouldn’t get her hopes up.

Kusubu did not seem too happy with being ordered to cut it out with the cursing, which immediately sent a feeling of guilt rushing down Absolut's spine. That... was not a very polite thing to do, was it? Ordering someone older than you to follow your will, that is... Thankfully, Kusubu also seemed willing to follow the young Frost Demon's order. Oh. Right. He... keeps forgetting that he is supposed to be all of their overlord. If he demands something, those demands will be met. An order which Absolut knew he was going to struggle with getting used to. " I'll try..." the young Frost Demon muttered after Kusubu demanded him to not disappoint him after this fight, then pulled out the Sword of Greenskull from his back and raised it in a defensive position. Moments later, the first of Kusubu's attacks arrived - the demoness opened up with a burst of fire from her mouth and a barrage of energy blasts from her hands, all of which Absolut responded to the same way - using the blade of his weapon to deflect them all to the side and thus leave himself unscathed. Unfortunately, this was somewhat a mistake, as trying to cleave through Kusubu's fire breath meant that several painful burns were left spreading across Absolut's body afterwards. Not bothering to stop even for a second despite the burns across his body, Absolut suddenly lunged forward, opening up with a thrust from his heavy weapon before following it up with dual horizontal slashes. Kusubu really didn’t like the sound of ‘I’ll try.’ If /anyone/ within her unit said something like that after receiving an order, they would be doing the dirtiest of work around the base until they straightened themselves out. In her opinion, there is no try. You either do it, or don’t.
After watching her attacks get deflected by her opponent, she would get down into a defensive stance, doing so just in time to defend against his counterattack. Kusubu sidestepped the initial thrust, and successfully ducked under the first slash of the sword. She would block the second slash with her arm, wincing in slight pain as it did so. Her sleeve was cut by the blade, but overall, it didn’t cause much damage, “Heh, not too bad.” She commends before launching a counterattack of her own. She usually doesn’t fight anyone who uses a sword, so this fight should give her some experience against weapon users.
She spread her arms out wide, essentially asserting her dominance with a T-Pose. “Kuso-Kurosu!” She exclaimed before firing a cross of intense blue flame right at him. This was her signature attack, one she has done for quite awhile now. Hopefully it would pay off now.

As soon as Absolut completed his combination of sword strikes - not with as much success as he hoped, but, thankfully, it was good enough to leave a satisfying first impression on Kusubu - Absolut immediately leapt back, holding his weapon up in a defensive stance and began bracing himself for a counterattack. It was a standard procedure in almost any martial arts battle - attack, counterattack, find ways to take out as many of the enemy's countermeasures while employing as many of your own. Maybe that's why they call it an 'art'. Kusubu's attack manifested itself as a powerful and intense blue flame heading straight towards the Frost Demon. The previous spar against @brisk , who used immolation techniques, taught Absolut all he needed to know in fighting such opponents - he suddenly slid to the side, avoiding the core of the flame, and instantly rushed forward while the technique was still ongoing, aiming to exploit the advantage for himself. Hoping that Kusubu was not yet ready to defend herself, Absolut suddenly sent forward a blade thrust towards her kidney, following it up with tww wide vertical slashed towards the demoness. Absolut’s assumption that she would not be prepared to defend against an attack was very, very incorrect. Once again, she would sidestep the thrust, and the follow-up slashes would also be dodged by the short demoness. The first attack impressed her, but the second was just disappointing. It didn’t help that it seemed… almost identical to his first set of attacks. She hopes that he’ll mix it up a little next time. “You /really/ expected that to work on me? Hah! I’m not a fucking amateur.” And there she goes with the cursing again, “I’ve been fighting for many years, you’ll have to be a little smarter than that.” She remarked in a confident tone before getting down into an offensive stance, signalling to him that her counterattack was coming.
She began by throwing a medium-sized orb of flaming energy right at him, aiming to burn him some more. Kusubu is a fan of burning things, if that wasn’t already obvious enough by her fighting style. After throwing the ball, she would rush right at him, infusing her fists with energy before throwing them both at his face. She wanted to see how well he could handle an attack like this.

Aw, Absolut thought it was a good plan, to get Kusubu distracted while she was firing her energy attack and strike her then... guess it wasn't as clever as the young Frost Demon thought. Immediately upon missing all of his sword slashes, Absolut begun stepping back, raising his weapon in a defensive formation - however, it did not protect him from a wide, engulfing fireball heading straight towards him. As soon as he managed to power through it, the real attack came - two powerful ki infused blows heading straight towards his face. The first one, though clearly powerful, moved too slowly to catch Absolut off guard, but the second one struck him directly in the cheek, forcing the young Frost Demon to make a few steps backward. Absolut did not waver, however, and reacted immediately - he sent his hand forward to try to latch onto Kuueru's fist and, if successful, pull her over his shoulder to slam her back-first to the ground. Whether or not he managed, the teenager would follow it up with a wide slap with the flat side of the Sword of Greenskull for a blunt strike to blow Kusubu away. Defensive Phase

A low growl came from the demoness as her attack finally connected. The fact that she couldn’t land any substantial hits on the Emperor frustrated her quite a bit. This frustration was expressing itself through her body heat, and the fact that some area on her body were starting to glow a light neon blue color.
Her eyes widened as her fist was grappled onto by the other. She didn’t expect it at all, but she reacted quick, yanking her hand out of his grasp, “Tch.” Is all that would come from her before his next attack came. This one made contact and sent her flying to the side, almost smacking into one of the room’s walls. Now /that/ one did some damage to her… she hobbled up to her feet, and let out a deep breath, “Now that’s what I wanted to see from you, Absolut.” She remarked, rubbing at her side softly before pulling something from one of her gloves: a syringe. She stabbed this into her side, letting out a pained groan as she did so. This syringe repaired any damage done to her by the attack. After tossing it aside, she would start her counterattack.
She would get into the T-Pose once again, making it obvious what she was about to do, “Kuso-Kurosu!” Yet another cross of intense blue flame would rush right at the Emperor, aiming to burn him even more.

Finally, Absolut managed to deal some real damage on his demon opponent. The weapon slap struck Kusubu directly, sending her slamming to a nearby wall with a loud grunt, and getting the young Frost Demon to release an easier breath. There's still hope, there's always still hope. But... maybe not as much of it when Kusubu suddenly stabbed herself with a syringe and released a some sort of serum into her bloodstream which swiftly repaired any wounds which she received in the combination. Thankfully, it didn't seem to turn Kusubu into a some sort of hulking monster at the same time, but... this meant that Absolut's struggles were just beginning. The Frost Demon raised his weapon in a defensive position as Kusubu released her trademark Kusu-Kurosu attack yet again. This time, instead of dodging the incoming fire blast, like the demoness might expect, Absolut suddenly ran straight into it, slashing at it with his heavy weapon. The Sword of Greenskull easily and swiftly cleaved straight through the attack, splitting it into the halves careening towards the arena's walls, and Absolut ran out from the other side, opening up with a sword pierce towards Kusubu's torso and following it up with a blunt blow by the flat side of his sword to smack her aside yet again. Kusubu certainly didn’t expect Absolut to rush his way /through/ her attack, and when he did, her eyes widened once more as she scrambled to get her defenses together. Even though the attack was unexpected, the demoness would still dodge it by hopping right over the blade, looking at him with a grin while doing so, “Hah, you misse--” She was cut-off by the flat side of his blade, sending her flying off to the side once again. This time, she did smack into the wall, denting it slightly. After a few moments, she pushed herself from the wall, and landed on her feet.
Now that /really/ ticked her off. It was about time she released all this anger… and he would be the target of it. After releasing a deep huff, she would let out a shout of anger, causing a flood of steam to leave her body, it all rolling towards Absolut. It’s as if she was releasing all the heat built up inside of her body… and releasing it right at him. While the steam rushed towards the Emperor, she would fire two orbs of energy right at him. She hoped that this release of heat paired with the orbs of energy would do some damage… because she knew that she was the one on the losing end of this fight.

The next phase of the battle unfolded and concluded with the span of a few seconds. It all started when Kusubu, having clearly gotten frustrated with the way the battle was going, suddenly released a powerful huff of steam which rolled across the battlefield. Absolut, covering his face with his forearms while the burst continued, figured as much - as such, it would only be a favor to fold this battle quickly, before either one of them ends up outright angry, That's how his battles have been going for quite some time, surprisingly - has he really gotten this easily agitated in the last months? As such, when Kusubu released both of her energy orbs straight towards the Frost Demon, Absolut suddenly charged forward, the attacks seemingly colliding with his frame and releasing a powerful explosion, covering much of the arena in a thick, dusty haze. The young Emperor had vanished for a few seconds, until suddenly, seemingly out of nowhere, he appeared right in front of the short demoness, his fist a single inch away from her chest and his face fixating a determined, focused glare. Mr. Cam and Mr. Duria would tell him to get on with it and not waste a single moment while Kusubu is still surprised, but Absolut figured he would say a word or two anyway: " I'm sorry." Right before driving his fist straight towards Kusubu's lungs, it, despite being a mere inch away from its target, moving at a blinding speed. Defensive Phase

At first, she thought that her energy blasts were /very/ effective against the young Emperor… but oh, was she very, very wrong. A wide grin formed on her face, and her mouth opened up to say something, but before she could boast about her previous attack, she saw Absolut re-appear suddenly, and once he said ‘I’m Sorry,’ she would open her mouth up once more to speak:
“The fuc--” Before anything else could escape her mouth, the final attack of their spar would come. As the strike connected, her eyes widened and her breath was forced out of her body, leaving her breathless as she stumbled back after the hit connected. Within a few seconds, she was on the ground, struggling to regain her breath. This attack did her in, and she wouldn’t regain her breath fully for about thirty seconds.
But once she did, she would stumble back onto her feet, her legs shaking slightly, “..Heh. You did very well..” She coughs, “The next time, I’ll definitely beat you.” Kusubu said in a confident tone before turning to leave the training room, doing so rather quickly. She was now heading to the infirmary to get checked out. She has a feeling some of her internal organs and components were damaged by the punch..

Landing the One Inch Punch was both a source of relieving surprise and of worrying shock. Duria was the one who taught him this technique, as a way to easily knock the wind out of an opponent if you time it correctly and wield at least a similar amount of strength as your enemy. Absolut struggled with pulling it off against his Saiyan trainer, but seeing it land pretty much perfectly against Kusubu was relieving in many ways.

Thankfully, the situation resolved itself when the demoness stood up from the ground and walked the ringing pain off, complimenting Absolut on his abilities and stating that she will beat him next time before finally heading towards the infirmary.
"I..." Absolut once again muttered, then clenched his fist and cracked a faint smile. "If so, then I'll be waiting, Ms. Kusubu!"
