Creed’s arm shot up to catch the attack, all while continuing to stare down at Rine. As if saying “Don’t bother, your speed means nothing now”. When nothing impacted his arm, he would finally turn to see what occurred. The child’s eyes rolled back as he passed out onto the dusty red ground. How dare he… Not only did he attempt to attack a god, he couldn’t even follow through with his attack. Did he take Creed to be some kind of weakling? Or perhaps he learned the error of his ways. In any case, this was his final warning. To hell with his first kill, this peon needed to be eliminated once and for all. An example to all who shall oppose their god. Creed would take his time walking over there, raising a single finger to the unconscious young.
“You underestimated me, and for this you shall pay dearly. But at least you can die knowing I had to raise a finger to finish you off”
As a sapphire beam started to build at the tip of his finger, Rine would appear in front of him suddenly. He hesitated, dissipating the beam.
Thank heavens, he wasn’t fully gone. Rine stood with her arms outstretched and a face set with determination.
“I told you. No more beating up children”
Creed scoffed. “I won’t. I’ll kill him”
Rine hissed at him as the beam began to power up again. It was evident that he wouldn’t allow Rine to stop his reign of terror. The ground surrounding the two began to crack and rise as the attack grew.
“I will kill you if I must” Creed almost shouted over the rumbling winds.
“No, you won’t!”
“And why is that?” Creed asked, humoring the peon.
Rine took a deep breath. This isn’t how she wanted him to find out, but it was her last way to bring him back to reality.
“Because… Because I’m Pregnant!”
The beam disappeared once more. The wind would slow to it’s less chaotic turbulence as Creed simply stood there with his finger still raised. The Blue of his mask would shifted back into Green before disappearing completely.
“W-what?” A barely audible and muffled voice said. Even the burning he felt in his chest from the toxic atmosphere couldn’t shake him from what he had just heard.
Rine would quickly jump forward and kick him square in the mask, shattering it to pieces and knocking him back. He would struggle to rise, clutching at his throat as the lack of oxygen finally hit his body. His burnt and cut face would contort into pained gasps as he crawled forward. Rine quickly ran to him, placing an oxygen over his face. The burns and cuts could be healed with a Healing pod, thankfully. As Creed took a few deep breaths, he would finally pass out. The exertion from this power had to be substantial. How he survived with such wounds had to be either luck or sheer will power. Her gaze would finally fall on the kid.
She would walk over to him and try to shake him away. Carrying Creed in that armor would be a hassle enough and she didn’t want to leave the kid to die in this hellscape.
