Okay so much for their week long nap. The moment Dain saw the pitch black blood on Sly´s paws, followed by the reaction, he knew it was bad. It almost was enough to ruin Dain´s good victory mood. For a moment he averted his eyes, but just at that moment they landed and they were forced to make an appearance. His wooden sandals calmly walked down the ramp and into the castle. To his dismay the destruction had reached even up to here. Most of the castle and the arena had been destroyed and all around them wounded people were being dragged of by their family and friends. Those too poor though or had neither, were just left behind. The kings soldiers standing around, protecting their precious king.
The asshole that sat on top of the mountain of rubble. He looked smug after seeing the two had survived, pleased to see the threat of the beast gone and his plan having worked. In his mind he was already planning what to do next to increase his wealth and power again. Sure he would have to pay the two warriors a bit, but it was nothing too bad. Especially since the two of them probably did not know anything about the underground vaults. Yes plural. Perhaps he could even trick the two of them somehow and install a device in the back of their necks that would render them helpless in front of him.
Normally this might not have bothered Dain, but considering the fact that he felt like he was just hit by General Mountain and Sly´s condition… to be perfectly honest he might have just been looking for a reason to lash out.
Perhaps it was unfair, but right now Dain could not care less. Before the guard could even react, Dain had already dashed forward, grabbed the king by his fat neck and lifted him up. “You don´t give a rats ass about these people… only yourself!” He growled angrily as he squeezed slightly. To his surprise not a single person seemed to be to eager to react. Of course everyone was well aware that the two were unstoppable gods compared to them, but… there was more and Dain hatched a quick plan. At least it was worth a shot.
Well to be fair he had already had every intention to do what he wanted. This was just an excuse. However seeing the king sit among the injured, not lifting a finger to help them… it was enough to spark his idea and in truth he found it hilarious and brilliant. Of course that might also be the alcohol talking, plus the minor concussion. It was more likely though to be his own ego. Dain did like himself a lot after all.
“It seems none of you really love the king and from what I could see, I understand. Unfortunately I am not a psychopath and don´t kill for a reason.” He said as a grin grew on his face and he released his grasp on the king slightly, allowing him to breath a bit again. “So here is what I am going to do. I have currently fulfilled my contract and am open for hiring. Is there anyone who wants to hire me to remove the king from power? He asked the crowd.
At first the crowd seemed to react shocked, only to see a glimmer of hope. Yet by now the guards jumped into action. They might not have had any love for the king, nor the wish to attack the two aliens, yet this they knew how to respond to. It was the second paragraph in their training manual. -turns out the king had been king a long time and rebellion/revolution was a comon thing- In a moment they dispersed and through their actions they made sure the crowd did not dare to speak up.
Dain looked around and looked at the crowd. He could see it in their eyes they actually wanted him to do it, yet all were too afraid to speak up. The Saiya-Jin had to give it to the king, he actually did know how to make himself feared and in a way that almost caused him to earn a few points of respect from the Saiya-Jin. Almost. The king was too much of an A-hole to actually earn anything in Dain´s book.
“Seriously, nobody?” He asked with an air of disappointment in his voice he could not truly hide.
Of course he could always just kill the guards and see what happened then. However he was too tired to start a whole other fight and it would actually defeat the brilliance of his plan. He loved the idea of being paid to kill the king.
For a moment there was a wave of disappointment, when suddenly a female voice came from above. “Do it! I will hire you!” The slightly slurred voice came from above and as Dain looked up, he saw the drunken woman through a large hole in the roof. Standing on the ramp of her ship, she held out a single coin and a bottle of booze. A twinkle was in her eyes as she placed the coin on her thump and shot it in the air, where it soared up till it reached it´s high point, curved and then began it´s descent. Until it landed in Dain´s open hand.
The coin in itself was a worthless golden coin. Although it still meant weeks worth of food and living for a poor family on the planet, it was relatively worthless. Judging by the weight it was not even pure gold and even if it had been, it was too small to be worth much in their own universe. However that coin was soon getting more value on this planet then even the biggest treasures.
It was the coin that killed the evil king.
“Payment accepted!” Dain replied with a grin as he tossed the coin to Sly and squeezed until his hand formed a fist and the kinds head rolled over the floor.
It was the cheapest job he had ever taken, but ever since the first time meeting the king -when they were captured and forced to fight- the man had it coming. With that out of the way, Dain gave a quick command into the receiver on his wrist and a moment later Petey transported as much treasure as she could possibly hold into her belly.
Of course the AI was quite smart about it. She knew that with all the damages she had taken, she had to fill up as much as possible, without overloading herself. So she did not take the heavy metals like gold. Instead she took the lighter and more valuable treasures. Although Dain would ask her later why she had taken paintings and other art objects. Perhaps they had a value on this planet, but obviously not where they came from. Even if some of them were rather nice.
The answer was simple. Petey had not expected Dain to inspect the treasure and truly think about it. An obvious sign of AI brain damage if Dain had ever seen one…
“As the new kings of this planet, I say we hold a feast and celebrate! What do you say, supreme commander Sly?” Dain said loudly, as he really wanted a drink and some food. Crowning himself king was the easiest way to get that done. Plus he also really liked to remind Sly who was the number two!

As they made there way back to the king's mansion they were forced to pass all the destruction their battle had caused. Sly wasn't the type to care about collateral damage. However, seeing the amount of wounded and destruction forced him to feel sad for the people of this land. Perhaps, it was because it reminded him of his home and his youth. He grew up with nothing, and before he gained all of his power he too could have been at the mercy of a couple of titans deciding to duke it out on his homeland. He hid his feelings well, but he made a note in the back of his mind that he would make this place a great place to live in the future. Even if that meant he would make a base of operations for his business here to bring in a ton of money to the economy. Eventually they would pass the majority of the destruction and make it to the king. This is where things took a quick turn and a unexpected turn. He knew what he was forced to witness was a sad sight, what he didn't know was that it had an effect on Dain. He merely sat in the background as Dain grabbed the king from the throat and then offered his services to off the guy. What was another great surprise was to see their drunken new friend flip Dain a coin for payment. Within seconds the king's head was rolling on the floor and the coin was being flipped to Sly, "I don't think we can really split this. Since, I did most of the work I guess ill just keep it."He chuckled at his own joke, as he listened to Dain declare himself king. With a shrug of the shoulders he looked out to the still shocked crowd as the new king offered a night of celebration. Even though his whole body was aching and his condition was rapidly worsening, he was always down for some good food and even better booze. He reached into his pocket and grabbed a flask of liquor. With it clutched in his little paw he raised it high above his head and jokingly shouted out. "Long live the king! Now let's get good and hammered."The guards now realizing they had a new power structure immediately began ushering the crowd into the center of the kingdom. Dain and Sly would follow and the sight was truly magnificent. He had visited this place on a couple of occasions but was never granted the opportunity to see the dining hall. It was massive and made out of marble. The walls were nothing but shelves of rare booze and the place was staffed with help to the gills. The previous king did a lot of things wrong while ruling this place. However, this dining hall was not one of those wrong things. It nearly made the raccoon wanna cry in joy as he ran over to a random bottle and popped it open. Dain SincaraWC: 510 TWC: 10,606

The Saiya-Jin cracked a smile upon his friends joke, then a grin and eventually a full blown laughter. Even with everything going on and his deteriorating condition, Sly was still making fun of him. He loved it. “Fair enough, but only if I can make a suggestion where you can store it!” He replied as still grinning, as he gave his friend a devilish look, making it clear he meant the place where the sun doesn´t shine. -And no, he did not mean Canada- It reminded him once again why the raccoon was his friend.
Somehow the raccoon did not let things go to his head. It might be too easy too say this, but by competing with each other and keep putting themselves down, perhaps they kept their feet on the ground. Just a little. It was easy for them to start believing in their own legends. After all they were divinely sexy, wealthy beyond compared, controlled a fleet strong enough to take on a small space empire and were strong enough to be called a god. Combine that with a pleasant character, great smell, wonderful humor, the ability to cheer everyone up and… yeah he suddenly realized he might have just been a tad drunk.
Luckily that seemed to be his preferred state of mind nowadays anyway. It was so easy to hide in the warm embrace of alcohol, plus it tasted delicious and made the world more funny anyway. Dain honestly did not understand why so many people where making such a big drama about drinking seven days a week, a few bottles an hour. It was not like he was hurting anyone. -Aside from those people in buildings that collapse after he crashed into them by accident, off course.-
Not to mention the fact that his friend was the only one who seemed to be able to keep up with him. At the end of the night only a handful of people seemed to be conscious. -after Dain made his first decree as king that nobody could leave until they passed out. Of course this was after his third bottle of something, yet most seemed to have taken him seriously.- One of the guards was slow dancing with a pole, apparently unaware his partner had passed out twenty minutes ago. Another just raised his head from under the table, drunk the last of his beer, stared at the room with unbelief and than passed out in his soup. Several more where snoring loudly from under a pile of bodies -the second decree had been to pile people up to make space on the dance floor- and the captain of the guard seemed to be having the time of his life doing some kind of dance, before suddenly his eyes twisted and he fell backwards, straight as a log, into a deep sleep.
Dain however seemed to be doing well. Hanging from the main chandelier with one hand, two bottles in the other, singing Irish folk songs at full volume. Well more like blering. Perhaps there were four bottles in his hand. They kept shifting and blurring. “SLYYYYYYYYYYY YYOUU DEADAEDED YETH?” He yelled loudly, as he tried to find his friend among the chaos. He barely saw anything, so instinctively he put his hand on his eyebrows to help him look.
Suddenly there was a loud bang, followed by grunting, screaming and glass breaking, as Dain had completely forgotten he was using the hand to hold onto the chandelier and crashed into several people lying on the ground.
Now you might think a bunch of people would actually be softer then a concrete floor. However there are a few misconceptions about that. First of all humans have very strong and especially sharp bones. For instance if you fall on someone´s locked elbow with just the right angle of chest, you could actually shatter your solar plexus. Not to mention a lot of other bones and the fact that people might get violent if you crash into them and punch you.
The other reason was the fact that the entire floor was covered with a ten inch high fiber, three million thread count, fluffy carpet that allowed you to sink in till your ankles.
… okay that last one surely was not the misconception. Definitely are those bloody bones and… massive boobies Dain seemed to have crashed into after closer inspection.
“OOUUCCHHHIESS?” He asked confused as he got up, unsure whether he had hurt himself or not. He tried to sense his body, but from the lips down he felt pretty much nothing. The bottle in his hand had broken though, so without caring he simply threw the remainder away and held out his hand. So far it had worked the entire evening. Every time he held up his hand, somehow a new bottle had come flying. This time though not one but at least eight came flying towards him. He tried to grab one and missed, tried another, missed again and then the bottle exploded on his forehead.
Shards of glass exploded outward in a wire area around him and the strong smell of candy flavored liquor spread to his nose. A wave of nausea spread through his body, followed by a pounding headache and the urge to go lie down quite badly. Who the fuck makes candy flavored booze? He thought to himself as he tried to erect himself and walk to the table, only to find the entire room was spinning.
Oh… He thought to himself, the last shred of self awareness being used to figure out what was happening to him.
“Goodnight Gracie…” He said as his eyes twisted and turned for a moment, before his gaze broke, his eyes closed and than the Saiya-Jin finally fell down. Having outlasted everyone, but perhaps his friend Sly and…
Of course the drunken girl who had thrown the coin. She was sitting at her private table, with a collection of bottles that would have been able to knock out a small giant. She was still sitting there, drunk, but seemingly not even close to her limit. Had Dain still be conscious he might have crowned her the new king just out of respect.

A drunken haze is all the raccoon could remember for majority of the night. There were blips he would remember the following day, but most was a lost cause. Somehow Dain managed to hang from a chandelier and in glorious fashion fall from it. Sly might some stranger and the two would play drinking game after drinking game. Until the stranger passed out for the night. Sly's drunken haze would continue as he jumped from one partty goer to another, eventually drinking all of them under the table. He was committed to being the last party goer standing. It took a crazy long time, but eventually everyone was out of commission for the night. The only ones left standing were Dain, the female warrior, and Sly himself. Dain managed to take himself out next, by his previously mentioned chandelier incident. Once he thudded from the ground, he heard his friend utter a work or two before passing out. The gaze of the raccoon would quickly scan the area. His eyes finally rested on the female warrior, who was sitting at a table by herself. She was surrounded by a litany of different types of alcohol. Based off of Sly's drunken calculations, the warrior was well past both him and Dain in terms of quantity consumed. This could not stand, at least Sly thought. Clumsily he trudged on over to her table. Once close enough he plopped in a stool at the table so he was sitting across from her. Loudly he began to speak to her, further showing his intoxicated state. "We are gonna drink until one of us goes down. It will be you, but as we do how about you tell me some stuff about yourself. Like where are you from? Why are you so strong and chose to stay in this place. What's you deal." A burp escaped the snout of the raccoon as he finished speaking. As the female warrior prepare a response, Sly reached over and grabbed a large bottle of unknown alcohol. He took a giant swig, this would prove to be his last swig for the night. Instantly the room started to spin, and he felt himself to start to go from the conscious world. Fortunately, before completely conking out for the night the warrior responded. And what she said would remain etched in the little raccoon's brain for the reminder of his time with her. With a small smile she spoke out to Sly, "I have all the time in the world to explain my past. I could tell you all your drunken questions, but that would just waste time wouldn't it. From what I've seen, you don't have much time left do you? I overheard you mentioning your deteriorating condition, and you can tell by looking at you that you are rotting from the inside out. But I also heard you could fix yourself if you could take control back of your ship. Well I got potentially good news for you. I am pretty certain I know where to find your ship." Sly was thrilled and wanted to jump from his seat. Unfortunately his prior swig was going to prevent him from acting on the newly learned information that night. As he attempted to stand, the room swirled around him and his vision began to fail. Within in a few moments it went black and the raccoon bounced off of the floor as he joined the rest of the party goers for the night. Dain SincaraWC: 585 TWC: 11.191

Strange thing though about Petey. Since she was always mostly present through the chip and the device on Dain´s arm, she could usually tell what was going on. However this time it seemed she got pretty much knocked out as well. The way she described it, she had found a way to mimic drinking as an AI. A combination of a virus, dos attack and more technical stuff Dain did not understand. He had simply added it to the growing list of quirks he did not understand with his AI. He did not really mind usually, albeit he did not enjoy her version of groaning as she awoke from her slumber.
Especially since she had somehow decided to do the whole awakening think directly in his head and albeit he did not truly know what she was doing, for some reason he knew she was doing the AI version of puking her guts out. It was a bit disturbing to say the least, especially combined with the image of someone puking in your head. So he honestly did not enjoy her waking up like that.
Especially not when she did it at the same time he did. The first thing he noticed when he opened his eyes was the taste of socks, cigarettes and what not in his mouth. The second was a devastating headache and a slight blurriness that made him wish he was dead and keel over.
Luckily the first was quickly helped by a big swig of the first bottle he could find. It tasted like crap, but at least it burned everything in his mouth away. What was more was that is also burned away part of the headache and his physiology did the rest. As a Saiya-Jin he enjoyed a metabolism that not only allowed him to consume impossible amounts of food, it also broke down alcohol and other effects at a rapid pace. Or perhaps that was due to the curse of his body. He was not really sure. It mattered none. Sometimes it was also just a blessing.
In this case it was also a real curse. Imagine having the worst hangover. The kind that still makes you feel miserable the next day. Now imagine having that two day mother of all hangovers and stuff all that in the span of five minutes. It was enough to make Dain wish he had truly died for once. Or thrown into a star. As long as this feeling would go away.
With a groan he shrunk back into a fetal position and for the next five minutes he laid shivering on the floor in a fetal position, sucking on his thumb. Luckily after that slowly it started to fade and he started to wake up properly.
However as he began to wake up properly and looked around the room, he noticed it was still dark. The first rays of light barely coming over the horizon.
Apparently it was going to be a good day. It seemed most of the commotion had calmed down. During the entire night of drinking the palace had been shaking occasionally as an earthquake hit or another volcano erupted. To be quite frank it was good to know the planet was finally calming down and he could even hear a few birds singing outside.
With a loud groan he erected himself and began to make his way to somewhere. He was not even sure where. Dain merely knew he had to move. To where, when or what he was unsure. Unsteady on his feet he simply stepped on everyone in his way, not caring enough to swirl through the massive pile of bodies. Suddenly he saw the girl, still drinking and next to her his buddy Sly. Completely swamped out.
“Morning sunshine!” He said with a grin as he effortlessly picked up Sly, kissed him on the head -with a gigantic grin on his face-, chuckled and then placed him on the table to rest properly, before sitting down next to the girl.
For a moment he brushed past her, the tips of his fingers touching her smooth skin for a brief moment. Suddenly a weird feeling washed over him, a feeling of emptiness. He could see her, he could smell her. -Underneath the several layers of strong liquor he got the hint of the most incredible sweet flavor of strawberries and other fruits.- Yet despite all that, the moment he touched her he felt as if he was touching emptiness.
It was an extremely weird feeling and for a moment he just sat their confused.
“So… ship?” He suddenly asked out of nowhere, only to fall silent as he wondered why he asked it at all. He barely recalled anything from last night and he wondered what ship he was actually asking about. His own? The Atrioch? Her ship? He honestly did not know. All he felt bouncing around in his brain was that single word. Ship. It seemed important, yet he could not recall why. Heck he barely recalled why they had gotten here.
What was supposed to be impossible had happened. The alcohol had erased some of his own memory and Petey seemed to be unable to help for some reason. He remembered something about a space fight… did they really fight a gigantic green god? No wait… yes there definitely was a fight and then… Dain let out a chuckle as he remembered the king´s head. Then there was a party and, no, wait! Sly! He suddenly remembered the black blood from Sly and what his friend had told him. They needed to find his ship.
Suddenly Dain felt like an asshole. As a friend he should have taken Sly immediately and begun to search for his ship. They should leave immediately.
“Oh you were awake? Impressive.” The woman said as she swirled a bit as she reached for another bottle, uncorked it and took a swig.
Dain found it more impressive she was still alive, yet did nothing to correct her. If she believed he was awake, he thought that would be good enough. “So what is this about a ship?” He asked curiously. Instead of answering though she simply reached into her pocket, pulled out a small vial and poured it into Sly´s mouth.
“That should help him wake up and will grant him a few more days… you are going to need it.” She said with a mysterious smile, before picking up her own bottle again and finishing it in a single swig. “Your friend is dying and last nights bacchanal did not exactly help. You need to find his ship and replace the damaged organs.” She said after burping loudly, just as Sly was starting to wake up.

He shot awake once whatever miracle liquid was dumped down his gullet. Surprisingly, he felt great not even a slight hangover. Whatever was given to him was amazing, The small raccoon had not felt this good since heis organs started to fail him. Immediately he jumped into the conversation and began hitting questions, "Last night you said you knew where my ship was located. Tell me know, or I will end your life at this spot. Is it still being controlled by this rival gang. I need to know these things right now. Let's get going, I can tell I am already on borrowed time."The urgent pace in his voice displayed how much of a serious situation Sly felt he was in. The raccoon had always been put in possible death scenarios in the past, most of them with Dain. But, in all of those instances, he had some control whether he lived or died. It normally revolved around beating some powerful foe or escaping some collapsing fortress. He was confident in his abilities, so he never felt the twinge of fear. Now, it was out of control, no training could make him quick enough or strong enough to avoid this. He was going to die, if the duo didn't reach this ship. The near certainty of the fact was starting to wear and tear and the small raccoon's psyche. The female warrior appeared to still be downing drinks at a rapid pace. Truly an impressive feat, it made Sly want to know what her origins were. There was no way a Earthling could consume as much as this warrior did without dying on the spot. Once she finished a bottle she downed it and slammed it on the table prior to responding to Sly's various questions. "It is in the North Quadrant, orbiting Space Vegas at the moment. From last I heard, yes it is still under the control of this rival gang. But, I feel you should know this. Sly this rival gang is a splinter off of The Crusher Corps, your old gang. I guess they didn't appreciate how it was changing similar to you. However, unlike you they did not want to make something like what The Crusher Corps originally was, just a bunch of space pirates and mercenaries finding work together. They wanted to make it a force to take control over people. The complete opposite what you picture is what they do, they get involved in politics they want power and they want to rule. However, you will still remember and know a lot of these creatures on your ship. From what I heard they feel if they drive in your cruiser, and lie about besting you in battle, they think it will up there street. cred"Anger immediately begin to well up within the body of the small raccoon. The anger was a bottle of coke and the information given by the warrior was a mentos. Quickly, Sly exploded his top and flipped a table. His paws would clutch on random bottle and he began throwing them against walls and furniture. His ruckus began waking up party goers from the night before. "These motherfuc$ers think they can take my ship and lie about me. Not only that they are gonna break of from the Corps and make it even worse than it has become. That is pathetic, I despise them more than I do the members that work for Cam now. They need to pay for this."Sly was ready to go and anger was going to be his driving force. He swung around to face Dain just before he would race off to The Atrioch. "Everyone on that ship dies before I have to get my organs repaired. The only one who survives for a moment is their captain. I want that rat fuc% to see my face and now his actions lead to the death of his crew. Once he realizes this, I will end his life too."The raccoon swung back around and took off in headlong flight. His destination for the time being was Dain's ship. He forgot to even ask the warrior and Dain to follow, he just hoped they would. Dain SincaraWC: 705 TWC 11,891

Dain was very well aware of Sly´s past. When they had met, Sly had still been part of the Crusher Corps and the man -at the time still human- had actually been a target of him. Of course due to all kinds of silly, wonderful and mostly ridiculous adventures, the two had become allies and friends for life. Of course that did not mean that at the time, Dain had done a proper background check into Sly. As any proper, professional bounty hunter would have done. Of course most would have done it before hunting his target. Dain did it two months after, when his curiosity about Sly had grown. Of course there was not too much to find about his friend. As any professional, he had managed to keep mostly to himself and not leave a lot of traces. Yet he had learned quite a bit about this crusher corps and from what he had read, he was not a big fan. To hear what these fragments did, especially with his beautiful ship… it was dishonoring and infuriating. So he could imagine Sly´s anger quite a bit. Combine that with the fact that Sly was not doing too well and Dain could forgive the man for rushing of. There was a difference between forgiveness though and approval. A vein still popped up on the side of his head as Sly rushed off, knowing his time with this woman had been cut short. Just as she finally had started to intrigue him and he wanted to ask her a few more questions. That and he was in his groggy morning state, so his limp parts were actually not so limps anymore. She was not the most `feminine´ woman he had ever seen, but considering her revealing outfit she did seem to have all the right parts. Her camel toe actually was really enticing him and he wondered if she was showing it to him on purpose or whether it was due to her own drunken state that she did not seem to notice. However before he could wrap his tail around her waste, pull her clothing and try something, he could hear Petey in his ear, asking him whether she should give Sly access to her. He still had a few things to do here. The Saiya-Jin was not a `good´ person by any means, but he did hold pride and responsibility in his heart. “Peet, please fire up the engines and prepare for a quick departure.” Dain spoke quickly, knowing Peet could always hear him, before turning his attention to the drunk, girl, warrior… all fancy titles, but there was something more. Dain could not put his finger on it, but there was definitely something more to this girl. For one the amount she drank and still be coherent. He had never met anyone capable of out drinking him and Sly and they had… quite a bit of practice. Moreso… how did she know about Sly and his ship. They were from another dimension. The first time they had come here was completely by accident/disaster and without Petey, they probably could not have made it back. No she was definitely fishy and of course that made Dain want her to join them. “So want to join us? You seem to be wasted on a planet like this.” He said with a grin as he stood up and extended his hand to her. “Hmmm I guess it would be prudent, I have been here too long already, but… She replied after a few moments of contemplating before accepting his hand. “I will join you later. You three have made a mess of the planet and you just crowned yourself king. If you leave now without fixing a few things, there won´t be a planet to come back to.” She replied and as she said it a mysterious glow appeared in her eyes as she looked around, yet Dain did not have the feeling she was seeing anything there was around them. He was a bit disappointed that she would not come directly with them. Her intel would be useful. For some reason though he knew instinctively that he could not force her, even if he wanted to. “So you will take care of things her for me? It would be grately appreciated.” He said with a nod, as it would truly be a great help. The Saiya-Jin loved fun and games, but it would be great to know this planet would be taken care of. “How will you join us then? We live in a different dimension you know.” He asked curiously as he looked sharply at her, looking for any signs of shock. There were none. “Oh no worries. I can take care of things really quickly here. Besides… I predict I will get there before you even make it, unless I am terribly mistaken.” She said with a mysterious smile as she reached for another bottle and waved Dain off. Of course Dain had no reason to stay. For some reason he believed the girl and his loyalty laid with Sly in the first place anyway. With everything settled he dashed after Sly and quickly was gone from sight. “Hmm those two are more interesting then I thought and even I can´t read their future… I wonder what that means. Oh well bottoms up and then back to work.” She said with a smile before emptying the remaining bottles on the table, before holding out her hand and summoning the staff to her free hand. Meanwhile Dain had already reached the ship, only to notice it´s engines were still down. Everything else seemed to be prepared and to his relief the giant monster still seemed to be unconscious. “Ehhh Sly… did you not want to depart quickly or are you getting cold feet?” He asked as he landed next to his friend. He planted his ass firmly in the comfortable captains chair and began pulling up a few screens. All systems seemed to be either green or orange, so it should be okay. Green meant everything was okay and orange meant they were damaged, but if controlled by the AI, rather then the meat part, it should be doable. Actually the more he scrolled through the list, the more he noticed that more and more was getting orange. It seemed their ship actually had taken quite a beating. What he did not know was that the most critical part had been hidden so far down the list that Dain never bothered to scroll there. The dimensional drive was completely at the bottom, blinking and shifting between bright orange and deep red… @ Kinjin | 1,131 | Total Word Count: 31,279 + 1,131 = 32,410

"No I am ready to go, just was waiting for you to finish up flirting with that chic. If you don't mind, I'll fly this piece of shit for a bit."He hopped on over to the captains chair and sat in it. The difference of size between him and Dain become extremely noticeable at this point. The chair was much larger than Sly's, for obvious reasons, and the small raccoon was forced to stand in it just to reach all of the controls with his little paws. Also the controls were clearly made for hands, and not so much paws, so for the first few moments he fumbled with the various controls until he finally adjusted accordingly. "Hold on to something, cause we are gonna go as fast as this hunk of junk let's me fly."A turn of a knob here and a move of a pedal there and the duo was racing out of orbit and towards the black hole to return to their own dimension. An awkward feeling for a moment and the duo was back where they belonged and racing towards space vegas. As they flew Sly looked over his body, "Looks like I am still a raccoon, I am glad. I much prefer this form over my old one. This makes stealing much easier."
It felt like an eternity to Sly, but in all reality it only took a few moments for them to reach Space Vegas. Once outside, he would fly the ship as full speed around the planet in search of his ship. Eventually it could be seen out in the distance, the old red and faded crusher corps logo could still be seen on the golden cruiser. "Those motherfuc$ers really thought they could just take my ship and nothing would happen about it. They will pay for this. They think they represent what the original corps did, but they are wrong. It wasn't about politics way back then, it was just about a group of criminals doing as they pleased."His teeth gritted as he raced towards his ship. It was becoming clear the Sly's anger was placing him close to the edge. Within another moment the duo would be boarding Sly's ship and preparing for a battle. "Okay, looks like we got in unnoticed somehow, Once we take out the crew one by one, I need to get into the sick bay. I have a machine there that can clean my blood and repair my organs. Well at least, I hope it can. Let's try to be stealthy I don't want to fight the whole crew at once."Just as he finished speaking alarms could be hard going off through his own ship. It appeared the crew had noticed the arrival and were now descending upon their position. Sly let out a sigh of frustration as he looked over towards Dain. "Well shit. Looks like my plan it out of the window, guess we will fight em all here and now. But try to keep the captain alive for now."WC:511 TWC: 12,391 Dain Sincara

Dain could understand Sly´s fury, so he just stood aside and watched as the raccoon flew the ship. All across the machine lights and parts came alive. In the machine room a strange device lit up and began to hum, hoomp and hiss as several cylinders jumped into action. It was the makeshift dimensional transporter Peet had created from scrap and in all honesty it was not ready for a direct jump. Steam and smoke quickly began to rise from the top as sparks flew from the top. Only by some makeshift repairs and handy work of the AI, it somehow held and they appeared in the right dimension.
Which actually was not entirely true, though Dain only realized that after he read the logs later. Apparently they had stopped in a dimension where time ran so slow, they would have been stuck there for thousands of years before they could even have pressed a button. Luckily an AI is millions of times faster so she had managed to get them out eventually. However the internal logs showed -after some calculations and conversion- it showed them that they had actually spend the equivalent of thirty six years in there. A funny side effect though was that neither of them would ever realize they had been there. Time ran so slow, their synapses had not even fired enough to transmit the weird dimension to their brain from their eyes.
Again according to the logs that probably was a good thing, as the only description in the computer was `freaking weird´. And if an AI described it like that, there was a good chance it was true.
The AI said with a voice that clearly reeked of fear and relieve. It spoke and clearly the two of them had not gained any bonus points.
Still a shiver ran across Dain´s back as he heard the odds and it was a true miracle that they were there apparently. That or the AI had malfunctioned and not calculated the odd properly. However perhaps it was their time they would get some luck.
Dain had been doing some thinking recently and according to everything he had remembered, by now they should have accrued enough karma points that they were due to win the galactic lottery several times in a row. I mean how often do you run into an undead overlord while retrieving a few supplies from some farmers house. Or what about the time the complex exploded when they were guarding a prisoner. Perhaps that would have been okay, but the bout of the plague that was released from the ground had been too much.
They even managed to board without causing a problem. Which was a miracle in itself and Dain was just about convinced their luck finally could have changed. He was just about to ask Sly about it, when it happened.
“Oh off course… it would be too much to ask for a bit of luck.” He grumbled, with a grin on his face, as the alarms went of.
Sadly Dain did not know the way to the sickbay. However it seemed to be irrelevant now. He had no idea how long Sly would be out like this and then Dain would have to defend the raccoon. Well he would if need be, but he preferred not to be in such a precarious situation. It was always a bad idea to be pinned down. A single wild shot could blow up the machine and with it Sly´s hope of recovery.
“Well fine then and I promise I will try not to do too much damage.” Dain said with a grin as he raised a hand towards the corridor several soldiers were appeared and released a wave of energy. It simply engulfed them and… exited the shit through the hull on the other side. There it ricochet of the inner shield, to the ships hull where it left a gigantic scorch mark, before deflected towards the shields again. Rinse and Repeat. “uhhh…” Dain said as he scratched his head, as the ship kept shaking violently as the wave kept bouncing between the hull and the shields. “… uhhmmm how about I offer to repair your ship for free after this?” As he continued to scratch the back of his head and looked apologetic to Sly.
It was getting a pain like this. The Saiya-Jin had simply been gaining strength too fast and was apparently not good at holding back anymore. Perhaps it was due to their fight with Xiango that he had pushed through another limit?
The air around Dain looked almost serene for a moment as he opened his eyes. A moment of calmness as the Saiya-Jin relaxed and exhaled briefly. All the tension vanished from his body as he witnessed his surroundings. In that brief moment he could see everything, from the biggest objects, to the small particles of dust floating around. A moment of true peace, something only the great masters of their era knew. To completely relax, be one with their own senses and body. He could feel his own heartbeat, the pulsating veins in his arms and the warm tingling in his fingers.
“Okay, here we go!” He said as he inhaled and tensed his muscles. Instantly black KI began to seep from his body, like a thick black mist. A few veins popped up on his chest and his breathing turned into a soft grunt. The air around him began to vibrate, trembling as if the air itself was heating up around him.
He was unsure, but for now he decided to holster his arm and instead draw his sword. As long as he did not release and slashes… or swung it to hard to create gushes of wind, perhaps Sly would have a ship to claim. “Sly when we get back, you should dock this golden rust bucket in the Gete Star and upgrade it. It looks wonderful, but you definitely need some proper dampening fields and shielding.” He said as he could still feel the ship vibrate occasionally as the beam kept striking. Grimacing with every strike. Albeit it now seemed to be rapidly losing strength.
“Okay show me to the bridge. What resistance can we expect? Internal defenses? Troops?” He asked, just as several droids rolled in that seemingly filled the entire corridor and came equipped with shields and some nasty firepower it seemed. “Oh sure… Sly take point. I will use you as a shield, you just keep shooting.” He said with a grin as he ducked down behind his friend, grabbed his arm and moved it playfully to the direction he wanted his friend to shoot. True.

"Yeah, can you try not to blow my ship up during this process? I need that machine to repair my organs and stuff. If this ship goes, I'll likely go with it. I am gonna fight towards the room that houses the machine. Try not to destroy anything else. Ill take you up on that offer also, once we are done here I can dock it with the star for an upgrade or two. Well, if we get out of here alive."Just as he finished his rant at Dain, the droids showed up. Sly was half expecting a mediocre crew inside, a crew the duo would wipe off the galaxy within a matter of seconds. But the sheer numbers and their power levels were nothing to simply scoff at. It appeared this crew wasn't just the reject Crusher Corp members of old. Perhaps, some of them had some actual standing back in the day. Sly wondered if he would know any of them personally. He shrugged the idea out of his brain for the time being. Now wasn't the time for day dreaming, but a time for action. Sly jumped in front of Dain and pulled his two revolvers. Luckily, he was able to contain the blasts enough to not destroy his ship, but just take out the droids as the duo made their way throughout the ship. "Okay keep on pushing through, I think the room is just up here on the left. It's hard to tell exactly with all these stupid droids around us." They duo kept pushing, but the droids just kept coming. Within moments each of them was easily outnumbered one hundred to one. Sly dropped a energy grenade that exploded and created a shield around the two as they continued to push on. Fortunately, the shield managed to hold long enough for Sly to make it to the needed room. "Help me barricade this door."Sly ran and shut the door and using a small tool within the room welded it shut. "That won't be enough to hold these droids off for long, and I am sure the rest of the actual crew is headed down here as well. Help me move some stuff in front of the door."Sly quickly began barricading the door with the heaviest stuff he could find in the room. Most of it would do next to nothing to stop the crew from barging in for long, but he needed all the time he could find. Once the door was barricaded Sly jumped up on to a table and laid down. His gaze shifted to Dain, "Okay, hit the button over there and the process will start. Once it begins, I will be out of commission for a bit. So if that door comes down, you can not let anyone interrupt with the process, if they do it's game over for me. I trust you can do this."Sly gave him a reassuring nod and then closed his eyes. Hopefully not for the last time. Dain SincaraWC: 506 TWC: 12,891

“Oh sure, anytime I want to have any fun, you have to be a buzzkill.” He said, feigning upset as he threw his arms in the air. “Next you will say I can´t even inject you anymore with fun drugs as you sleep… tsck when did you get so boring.” He said with a grin as he fired a few blasts from his finger gun towards their enemies. The explosions still rattled through the corridors, but the blasts were small enough that they did no further damage. Well the wall would need some paint and the cleaners would have a great time cleaning it up.
“Okay give me a second.” Dain said seriously for a change as he reached inside his robe for six small half orbs. With practices precision he placed them on the edges of the door with equal distance between them. Once they were placed, he pressed placed a bigger orb on the central and pressed the button. A soft hum could be heard before they flickered on an a yellow energy field formed between them, covering the door.
At first it seeped around him like a true black mist, before it began to form into a swirling aura around him. The black KI lit up like a thousand light bulbs on a gigantic Christmas tree and a gush of wind spread through the area. A few veins popped up on his arms and a soft growl escaped his lips as he summoned his natural power to the absolute maximum. Of course that alone was enough to make most people run screaming. His long brown hair swayed softly in the air and his brown robe fluttered around him. “Well how about this… according to my internal sensors I now measure easily over half a million…” He mutter to himself with a pleasant smile as he looked at his own hands and the power he could feel rushing from them.
Of course that was not even a fraction of his power. His race had a truly frightening part to it. The ability to transform into a far more powerful form. With a soft grunt he clenched his fists, grounded his teeth and dug deeper. Inside him a flicker of a flame could be found. He extended his senses beyond his body, reaching deeper inside and embraced the flame.
The next thing Dain did was punch his fist through the door controls. A wave of sparks and smoke shot forward and with a small nod he then watched Sly weld the rest of the door shut. It was the best they could do for now and Dain began helping Sly throw stuff in front of the door.
It was not much, especially by their standards. Still against a few droids it could hold a few minutes and Dain would be able to fill the rest of the gap. He hoped.
“Don´t worry, I promise you I will only use your limp body as a personal shield as a last resort.” Dain said with a devious grin, just before he pressed the button and Sly went under like a charm.
Jokes aside, Dain would give his life to save his friend. A moment later that was about to happen though as he could hear the knocking on the door and not the friendly, polite knock. The bots had begun firing at the door and Dain could feel the entire room trembling from their combined fire. At first it seemed to hold, but then it slowly began to turn red and the edges were starting to melt. Thick black smoke began to seep in and red hot flames and debris were coming into the cracks.
As the room began to fill, Sly must have inhaled a bit as his tiny body began to cough. In a reflex Dain threw himself against the barricade, extending his KI-field to cover the door. It did cover the gaps, but Dain was also exposed to the heat and he could not help but get into a coughing fit. Yet despite every urge to move, he forced his body to stay. Even as several of the orbs exploded with a crackling sound and shot of like a cork from a champagne bottle, impacting against his chest.
“Petey! Waste any energy you can, but start transporting the Cyclonian guard from the Gete Star, to the Atrioch to this rust bucket! I need help!” Dain said between coughing fits, into his armlet.
It was the last resort he had. He just hoped with the Atrioch as a middle point, he could get it done. Luckily a moment later the Atrioch came in. “Can´t do captain. It would take away almost all of my energy, even life support and the Gete Stars androids are not complete yet. At this point the guards are barely functional!” She replied with a lot of static in her message and from the noise the droids were making on the other side he could barely understand her.
“I don´t care! Teleport all personal into my room, it has it´s own life support. Shut down the rest of the ship if you have to, even life support. Just teleport those droids here!” He bellowed, trying to get over the noise.
Just at that moment the remaining orbs gave up in a crash and Dain was almost thrown back as several explosions ripped through the door and impacted on him. “Damnit Sly! Wake up sleepy beauty!” Dain said with gritting teeth as he dug his feet into the metal floor and stuck his arm through the holes in the metal door. He could feel the skin get cinched and the smell of his own burned arm hair was not delicious, but he kept it there and began firing KI-Blasts into the corridor.
The androids exploded rather nicely, but their places were almost instantly taken by new ones and the relief in fire was so short, Dain had barely the time to miss the incoming fire.
Just at that moment the situation got worse as the Saiya-Jin could feel a rumbling noise coming from the back of the room and to his dismay he saw one of the walls explode in a mess of debris. In the hole he could see several androids, apparently having made a shortcut between one room, several bulkheads and this room. “PETEY!” Dain bellowed as he extended his other arm and fired several blasts into the new room.
Dain began hovering a few feet above the ground as he stretched out his arms beside him. Pure golden energy began to glow around him, his aura burning with a new intensity. Blue lightning began crackling around him as his muscles swell and veins popped up all over his arms. He spread his legs slightly, as if to stabilize himself and contain the tremendous amount of energy he was summoning.
This was getting ridiculous and to make it worse, he could feel the trembling coming from fire from above and the ceiling showing the first signs of trouble.
Dain was just about to be overwhelmed when suddenly he felt a sensation of huge energy flowing through the ship, then suddenly a whole lot of noise and trembling and then silence for a moment. Or relative silence as the combat seemed to be getting further away from them.
“okay, you got five guards… make the most of them. I am shutting myself down to preserve energy. Petey out.” The AI said faintly, before fading.
Dain sighted in relieve as he pulled his scorched arm back from the hole and stumbled his way to Sly. The silly raccoon was simply lying there, resting peacefully, coughing up black smoke on occasion. Luckily this was not going to last forever as thankfully the machine red 99%.
“WAKE UP!” Dain said as he gently stroked Sly cute cheek several time, before raising his hand and slapping it with so much power it send the racoon flying through the room. “How do you feel?” He asked as he walked to his friend who was just opening his eyes. “Sorry about that, it seems I missed one attack.” He said with a grin.

He quickly rolled off the table and fell to the floor landing on his snout. Quickly, he woke and his eyes instantly narrowed in on Dain sincara. "Just an attack made its way through huh? I am not convinced." Sly would respond with a longer tirade and probably a type of response in the form of an energy round or two at his friend, but the incoming of droids seemed to be increasing. Quickly, he popped up to his feet and squared up against the incoming onslaught. "Okay, Dain you and droids take those couple hundred remaining over there. I'll handle these ones over here. After that we should be able to make our way to the actual remaining crew members."The room began to shake and quake as Sly unleashed his full power. His transformation occurred nearly in an instant. Indicating his comfortableness with the form. His revolvers had changed into his iconic crooked cane and his blinked into action. If one was able to follow his movements, they would see the small raccoon blinking from one droid to the next. With each move the small raccoon would split a droid in two, or render their head from the rest of the droids body. Within a few seconds, Sly was standing on top of a heap of destroyed droid parts. His breath labored as he spoke out to Dain, "Once you are done toying around over there, let's get going."WC: 241 TWC: 12,132 Dain Sincara

Dain could never fool his friend. Especially since the impact left a hand size shape impression in the raccoons fur. Still… it was so totally worth getting shot at, he rarely got the chance to slap his friend. “No I swear, it was a-” He began, but just as Sly had been interrupted by the droids, so was his speech. He would probably get the payback he deserved, but for now he enjoyed the warm after glow in the palm of his hand. It was the sweet, succulent feeling of success, radiating from his hand to his elbow. -Making him wonder what the hell Sly´s head was made of.-
“Okay let´s make you a proper captain again. Then at least you are equal to me in rank.” Dain said with a grin as he followed his friends example and powered up. His golden energy washed over him in an instant and then he blasted off. His sword drawn, flashing into the corridor, bellowing his famous battle cry.
FOR PONY!
The first droid that appeared around the corner got sliced in half just before it could even raise it´s blaster. The rest was simply a matter of endurance. Despite their numbers, Dain and his droids cut a way straight through the enemy ranks.
Eventually the two met up at the door to the bridge. So far they had only faced massive amounts of drones, but this seemed to be the bridgehead. The final stance of the rebels who took over Sly´s ship. In the midsts was a gigantic mech suit, towering twenty feet high and looking rather impressive. Inside was the captain of the band of brigands, having aimed all weapons at the two. Around him where several of his goons in combat armor.
“So Sly, came here to die? It is not too late to give up and join us again. We could share command!” The man said with a thundering voice coming from the mech unit, however it was quite obvious the man was not as convinced of his own position of strength. The shaking in his voice making that quite obvious.
“Well old buddy, ready to finish up and have a drink?” Dain asked as he powered down a bit, his golden aura falling away. His blond hair remained, a sign he would be ready to help at any second, but he stood down and crossed his arms.
This was Sly´s beef and he figured his friend should get to clear up his own mess. For Dain it would have been a matter of pride, so he granted Sly the same courtesy.
————————————————————————————————————————
Meanwhile Petey was having a bit of a fit. She had been going over her systems, including the apparent thirty six years she had been in that dimension and doing the math. Nothing was making sense to her. According to her understanding of the universe and laws, the readings she was getting now where simply not possible. According to her reading it seemed like time and dimensions were spilling out of the drive. She was also noticing a build up. At the moment it was only a fraction, but according to her internal sensors the ship was trying to drift. In the middle of space and any celestial bodies were too far away to have any pull on the ship.
With a frantic pace she began to research all kinds of information regarding physics, wormholes and time. As an AI she had rudimentary information about them and even if she has most data stored, it was not as if she had taken the time to understand it all. Especially the experimental physics and theoretical physics she had not bothered with. Right now though she was downloading as much information from the hyper net as she could and began bouncing idea´s of the main ship, who was then spreading it to a hyper mind of AI´s.
Yet none of them seemed to have ever heard of something like this. There had been dozens of adventures with time, dimensions and even loops, but this was the first anyone had ever heard of time spilling from an engine.
The problem was that none of the sensors on board could actually measure it. What Petey called time was simply the effects she was measuring, not what caused them.
So instead of trying to figure out what it was, the group of AI decided to spend their time on figuring out how to stop it. So far, quite fruitlessly.
————————————————————————————————————————
Just at that moment the green monster still aboard the vessel hovering to the ship awoke, only to look at the drunken girl. For a moment he looked confused as he realized he was in some kind of cage. His big green hands grasped the bars and tried to pry them apart, but they did not budge an inch and as much as he tried to summon his power, he could not. He could not even feel the faintest flicker of power.
The girl just smiled at him and placed her hand upon his, calming him before he could even get upset. Her hand looking absolutely tiny on top of his. “Remember Peno, this was all your idea. You wanted to see what those two would become.” She said in a soothing voice, lifting the confusion and anger from his mind. “I know, I know. I just did not expect those two to capture me.” He said wearily as he calmed down and looked around him. “So how did they turn out?” He asked curiously, unable to remember most of the battle. It was inherent to his lesser form. Albeit green and imposing, it lacked his usual finesse.
“Well the Saiya-Jin did alright, though I still can´t get a reading of him. I can´t even figure out what it is. Everytime I try it is as if I am staring at two versions at the same time, yet the second form is not here at all. In any case, Sly has been most impressive and as you predicted he will turn into something far more if allowed. Here take a look yourself.” She said as she opened the palm of her hand, allowing an orb to form. For a moment there was nothing and then suddenly there was an image in it, showing both the raccoon and Dain fighting their way through the invaders.

A look of inquisitiveness was drawn upon the face of Sly as he listened to his foe speak from his suit of armor. Quickly, his facial expression changed as a laugh of condescension left the lips of the small raccoon known as Sly. His voice oozed of his presumed superiority of the goons aboard his ship as he spoke out to them, "You seriously think, I am the one who is going to die here. The only chance you ever had was to get me while I was healing up in my ship, but you failed. No, I will not be dying today and I know you know that. That's the only reason you would throw that pathetic hail mary attempt of survival by offering me a co-leadership position among on ship."His voice began to rise as he continued to speak, his anger could be felt with the harshness of his words and tone as he scolded the mech suit enemy. "You think that was even worth a try? You think you can just steal my ship while I am away, gallivant around this galaxy claiming you had bested me in combat and then I would simply forgive all that and agree to lead alongside you. You are simply pathetic, I am going to make an example of you and your whole crew who thought it wise to follow you on this death wish of an adventure."His voice then went to a calm and confident tone as he drew one of his revolvers and continued to speak out to the goons and self proclaimed leader, "One thing you can be proud of is the fact that you will be remembered. You will be remembered as the reason on why you do not try to cross me. People will tell your tale. The tale off the idiot who thought it was a good idea to try and pull a fast one on the ol raccoon. However, that story will end with them stating how quickly and easily you were killed by me."The mech suit man attempted a quick response, most likely a plea of some sort. The enemy knew he was done for, and hoped he would be able to reason with Sly before his execution was performed. However, neither the mech suit man or his goons had enough time to utter a response. They barely had enough time to came up with a thought. Within a blink of an eye, rounds of energy were flying from the muzzle of Sly's revolver. The shots were all placed with blazing speed and accuracy. Such speed that Sly was finished placing his last round through the skull of the mech suit enemy before the first body dropped from his first shot. As the bodies laid lifelessly on the floor, Sly drifted his attention back over to Dain and a friendly smile crossed his face, "Let's go get a drink. I'll have this hunk attack to your ship for the time being. Hopefully you have some staff that can clean this scrapheap for me and fix the damage you caused during this escapade."Dain Sincara: WC: 522 TWC: 12,654

There was a slight twitch in Dain´s eyes as he witnessed the shots being fired and a small shiver. “You´ve been holding out on me… remind me to never fight you seriously…” He said a bit awe struck by the speed, accuracy and deadliness in which Sly took out his competitors.
“So we defeated the green monster, made quite a buck, dethroned a king, made a buck, got your body restored and took back your ship… not bad for an adventure.” Dain said with a grin as he counted their accomplishments this day. Now all they had to do was continue what they had been doing all this time: drinking. “Actually let´s just send your ship to the Gete Star. It will have your entire ship repaired, overhauled and upgraded within a week. We just got the third docking area operational the other day, so it should be no problem.” Dain said as he casually walked over to the control panel.
With a few pushes of the buttons he activated the control panel, and laid in the course for the whereabouts of the big gete star, as long as a recorded message to be broadcast once in the vicinity. The war cruiser would not even need a captain to dock it. The Gete Star would simply `capture´ it with a tracking beam, pull it closer and then swallow it like a fly. It was amazing what the star could truly do and it was not even full size or power just yet.
So far Dain had been powering it with a ZPM they had recovered on a previous mission and it was almost twenty eight percent operative. However that was not the most amazing thing. The Gete star grew from the inside out. Which mean that instead of adding layers on the outside, it would actually create them from the inside and push them outward. Meaning that as long as the star kept growing things kept surprising them.
What interested him the most right now was a report of a mysterious room they had found. It seemed to contain some kind of power stations, but was currently turned off and they had not been able to turn it on just yet.
It was the fun fact about the Gete Star. Despite housing tens of thousand soldiers and scientists, who all worked around the clock, they had only explored 0.09% of the entire star and much of it´s innards and workings were still completely unknown. What was even weirder was that the star still seemed to keep expanding over time and some times they found completely new rooms that were not there the day before. It was generally interesting, yet also a royal pain in the gluteus maximus.
Recently they had suffered several waves of attacks from robots that came from somewhere outside their known sphere. The best they could figure out it was an automated response and defense from the star, but they did not know the how or why of it.
————————————————————————————————————————————
With that being done and said, the drunken girl wiggled her staff and the orb displaying it all disappeared. “So that is the score. What will you do now?” She asked the green man behind bars, unable to help stifle a small smile. Albeit it was her job to train, protect and guide him, he was still her master and she did find it funny he was behind bars. Of course she could easily break him out, but something about his behavior told him it was better to wait and soon she was proven correct. As always.
“Yeah… I think I will stay for a while. Their real adventure is about to begin and it will be fun to watch with my own eyes.” He said with a grin, showing his sparkling white teeth as he crossed his arms and set down in his cell. “Besides… they did beat me fair and square, even if it was without using my true power, they overcame my mortal form, so it is as it is. Also… have you seen the collection of booze on the Saiya-Jin´s main ship… I am surprised you won´t join actually.” He said with a chuckle, just before he noticed the two returning.
Without saying one more word, the woman simply shook her staff and vanished. Though not before she erased her presence and the conversation from the computers security banks.

“Anyway, we should get back to the Atrioch if we want to have a good drink.” Dain said as he opened the hatch and the two of them walked inside the fighter they build. “Oh look our cap- new friend is awake.” Dain mentioned casually as he walked past the cage and into the cupboard where he hid the truly good cigars and booze. Relatively at least. Compared to the stocks on his mother ship, these were cheap seven eleventh bottles of booze. They still were better then most people would ever drink though and far more expansive.
“By the way, now that you have your ship back, there is something I want to talk to you about.” Dain said seriously as he sat down in his comfortable chair, poured himself a glass of sweet yellow honey ale from the planet Tshic and lit his cigar. “I never asked this, I just always assumed, but I think we both have the same employer when it comes to our line of work.” He said as he inhaled deeply, before blowing several circles of smoke into the room. “Do you also get your contracts and jobs from a group that calls themselves the Ravagers?” Dain asked curiously as he extended a few fingers and drew the chess board from the shelves alone with the fitting pieces.
There was something he wanted to propose to Sly. He knew he should probably be serious about this, but he had to admit they made their best decision when drunk and being preoccupied. Like taking a contract to take out a green monster or engage an entire fleet of vessels. All golden idea´s. With that in mind he downed his glass in a single sip and poured in a new one as he awaited his friends reply.

Things had gone as smoothly as Sly had expected. However, the two had managed to survive the majority of it and were well on their way to a much needed break. It went quick and within a few moments the two would be taking a comfortable seat aboard the Atrioch. Sly let out a long drawn out yawn and stretch as he looked over towards the green monster, who was now awake within his cage. Sly let out a condescending smirk to the creature and gave an equally smug wave to the beast, obviously he was not aware of who the beast actually was as he spoke out to him. "Comfy in there? Yeah.... get used to it. Ya mess with the raccoon and your ass gonna get stomped." He let out a hearty laugh, showing how he found himself to be absolutely hilarious. As he began to relax with a nice stiff drink, this time he chose a brandy, he felt as the mood slowly shifted. Even though Dain and Sly were close friends, the air still managed to feel awkward around the two as Dain popped the question regarding The Ravagers. Sly who was still leaned back in a large leather chair, slowly set his drink on top of a glass topped side table next to him. The loudest sound in the room was the clink of the drink on the table, Sly was not the type to set a half filled drink down. He lifted his gaze and focused on Dain, he slowly leaned forward. "You know of The Ravagers? Funny, I never put the fact that you may be employed as them as well. Figures, you do take some of the highest bounties around and most of them come from them." Whether or not Sly´s words hit a nerve with the green beast was very tough to tell. It gave the raccoon a look Dain could not identify, then simply shrugged his shoulders and crossed his arms as he watched the two of them talk. For a moment Dain looked at the beast and then decided on a bit of mercy. “One second Sly.” He said as he simply shrugged and made his way to the cupboard. In a moment of compassion he had decided that the green monster deserved a drink as well. He might be a monster, but he was not a monster! Plus Dain had been rather impressed with the monster and wanted him as part of his crew.
Well more he wanted to train and study under Xiango. The monster was a class above anything he had ever faced and he was sure it could teach him a whole lot after he had convinced it to. For now though he would have to keep him locked up until he had a proper chance to talk. Although he probably would have to wait until Sly left. It was becoming rapidly obvious that his friend did not like the green monster and would prefer to kill him.
So he walked to the cupboard to reach for a drink, some food and a few cigars. Unlike before though this time he did not go for the hidden compartment. Instead he went for the cheap rotgut booze, saltine crackers and a few cigars that he would not touch unless completely sober. He may not be a monster, but his compassion only went so far. “There you go…” Dain said, carefully placing the supplies in reach of Xiango, without ever actually getting too close to the monster. He was pretty sure that even without energy, the monster had enough raw strength to strange him and uncork his head quite easily.
After that he made his way back to Sly, but not before grabbing a few good snacks from the cupboard. With a sigh he sat down, his sore rump sinking deeply into the comfy cushions. As a Saiya-Jin he was hardened and his body never broke, but sometimes it felt as if he could feel all battle fatigue wash over him all at once. A comfy chair, a stiff drink and a good cigar luckily usually did the trick. “So where were we?” He pondered as he scratched his scruffy chin.
The fact that he actually felt some stubbles under his fingers reminded him how long this day actually had been.
He had sparred with Sly, traveled to another dimension, fought a fleet, fought a green monster, killed a king, traveled back, invaded Sly´s ship and killed… suddenly a thought appeared in Dain´s mind as he realized how violent their trips actually were.
[╔color=gold]“Heh we have a great life!” He suddenly muttered to himself as he recalled all his great adventures.
For some reason he still thought and talked in terms of days. Though it was hardly accurate, as in space there were no dawns or evenings and he was unsure how long inter dimensional flight actually took. A quick glance on the clock told him that according to internal sensors they had been away more then fifty seven hours. No wonder he was tired. There was something disturbing though. It was almost not there, but there was a tremble in the clock. Like ever few mili seconds it went back a bit, before going forward. Which was weird as it was a digital clock, managed by an AI.
He decided not to pay any attention to it and turned his attention back to Sly. “Uhhh sirs, can I interrupt you for a moment?” Peet asked suddenly, though Dain was not in the mood for any more disruptions, so he merely told her to come back another time.
“Well right you are. I figured we both were probably working for them. They are the biggest organization out there that organizes our line of work after all.” He said with a grin, when suddenly something hit him. “HEYY DAMGIT! That must mean you were the one that took the mission to free the harem of sultan Obuna from the pirates.” Dain blurter out as he remembered how desperately he had been wanting to take that job when he had seen it. Rumor had it the mysterious sultan had the most beautiful and willing woman in his harem in his side of the galaxy. Yet by the time Dain had finished his mission and wanted to take it, he learned that another hunter had already taken the job.
In a way the two of them were actually competing with each other. It was not the point he wanted to make, but it would help so he took it. “Well recently I have been thinking… it is just inefficient to compete with others for jobs. Would you not agree that it would make our jobs easier if we could simply… take control of the job distribution process?” He asked, carefully formulating his words, as he tried to figure out what Sly felt about the process.
If his friend agreed he had a proposal to make. If not he would drop it for now and just head home for now. He really could use a good nap, a shower and tinker a bit in his forge to relax.
He really hoped though that Sly had a few good idea´s. He had a few idea´s about what he wanted to do once they controlled the Ravagers.
Meanwhile Xiango was listening intently to the conversation. It was going exactly as was predicted, which meant soon things were going to get interesting. Thoughtlessly he picked up the bottle of cheap booze, poured a cup and suddenly stopped for a moment as he looked at the glass. Then his hand and then the glass again. “Uhhh…” He began, appearing to wanting to say something, but then swallowed it and in concession swallowed the entire glass. Or at least the contents, before pouring himself a new drink.

In all honesty, he did not know much of The Ravagers outside of the fact they offered him jobs. He never even took the time to think if they were anything more than a middle man for employers and employees. However, Dain's line of questioning made him ponder about the truth of The Ravagers. He was intrigued, and if Dain knew of a way to make the process even more profitable, Sly would be down. He chuckled slightly as he heard of Obuna, "Yeah that was me, paid pretty well too. There was this woman who wanted to repay me in more ways than one if you catch my drift. Sadly, since my chance my taste have changed as well. I only go for other anthropomorphic types people and not surprising, there isn't a ton of those types running around. I have crossed a couple, but never a female of course." As his rant sidetracked from The Ravagers to his love interest, he caught glimpse of the large green monster who was eyeing his drink. It snapped him back to reality in an instant, the creature's appearance could shake anyone from a daydream. He chuckled slightly as he shouted to the beast, "Dain is much nicer than I. If it was up to me, I would have left you with that blade sticking through your torso. Also that thing in your hand is called alcohol. You drink it ya big dumb green lug." His attention finally shifted back to Dain and his line of questioning. He picked up his drink and took a long sip as he pondered the possibilities. Once empty he sat it back down on the glass topped side table with a heavy clink. A long drawn out sigh escaped his lungs as he responded to his friend, "You always have such grand plans, of course I am always down for anything that would make our lives easier and more profitable. So tell me, how much mayhem must we go through to take control of these Ravagers." WC:340 TWC: 13,289 Dain Sincara

“Har har, you are a funny one aren´t you.” Xiango said as he let out a fake laughter after Sly´s comment. “However I would like to remind you, it took two of you to take me down. Perhaps I am due a bit of credit? Especially since I was a prisoner as well?” He said rather coherent as he grew serious and downed another glass of the liquor just as Sly had instructed him to. It was swill, but beggars could not be choosers and it was better then the nothing he had recently.
Once more Dain was impressed by Sly´s ability to put one plus one together. He had not actually said he wanted to take control of the Ravagers, but the raccoon had seen through his play of words. It was indeed what he wanted. Simply because he wanted to take control of his own jobs and earn more money. Or was there more to it? Well perhaps there was. Dain always tended to think in greater terms and right now he had decided to become king of the Saiya-Jin race. He never cared much, as they were in good hands, but their latest queen had made a mess of things.
Last he had been to Sadia there had been beggars in the streets, scrounging for food. It was despicable. Since when had Saiya-Jin not been able to hunt on their own anymore? Since when was the army and combat no longer what they lived for? Perhaps the Saiya-Jin were no longer the Saiya-Jin race he felt he belonged to. Perhaps a century ago it would not have bothered him, but recently he found out his other mother race -the elementary race where he grew up- was gone without a trace and suddenly he had felt like he had not belonged anywhere.
There was something infuriating about it, seeing his planet like that. Recent adventures Blue thunder began to strike around him as his golden energy swell up to incredible new heights. His feet dug even deeper into the ground and as a scream left his mouth, a tidal wave of golden energy washed over him, engulfing anything in it´s path. His already impeccable muscles swell up even more and he actually grew a few inches. His stomach muscles popped out one by one, till your could grind wheat on it. The gray robe tore to shreds under his continues and the remains flew off into the distance.
His hair spiked up even more and then everything started to convolute around him. Dust, light, wind, rain, anything near him got sucked into him as if he was the only source of gravity. His body began to pulse with a golden light and then he unleashed it all in a final gigantic scream. A light so bright it outshone the sun for a moment was released from Dain and then he stood there.
His body converted into his lightning form. The air around him vibrant with pure golden energy and blue lightning. A serene look rested in his purely white eyes, aside from a few bolts of lightning burning in his eyes.
So somehow that ended up with him on quite a binge and when he had woken up the next morning, Petey informed him he had belligerntly vowed to become the king of the Saiya-Jin and personally save his race.
Now many people would probably have discarded the thought once they sobered up, but then again Dain was not average or one of the many. Plus he had grown bored lately. Becoming king seemed like a fun thing to do. In a few decades he could fake his own death and alter his appearance once more. For him a few decades where short, so making plans to become king actually where not that far fetched. First thing he figured was that he would need to control a group he could use in the shadows. The Ravagers had come to mind and he had even made plans to leave Sly in control once he would ascend, only to support him secretly and join him again once he was done. With the Ravagers at his command he could slowly start eliminating the chain of command on Vegeta, create incidents where he appeared their savior etc.
“Hmmm I would say nearly impossible to death defying odds. So I guess the usual.” Dain replied with a grin. “Actually I do know where they operate from and if we just kill the council, we could take it from there.” Dain said as he shrugged, knowing the plan was terrible and just waited for Sly to comment on that. “Of course if we do, there is a good chance the Ravagers would reject us… unless we present them with a proper price that would be too good to resist.” Dain said with a grin, as he led up to his actual point and he was truly exited.
Just recently he had been on a mission to quell some rebellion for the empire and he had learned of an amazing secret. “What do you think the others would say if we took over and presented them a new base of operations?” Dain said with a grin as he left a bit of a pause to ruse Sly´s curiosity, a sparkle in his eyes and the biggest grin on his face. “We come with the Gete Star, that legendary artifact. I might have just recently learned about it´s location.” He said with a grin, before taking a big sip and awaiting the reaction of Sly.
“Sir, I really need to-” Petey tried to interfere again just as another set of trembles run through the ship. Dain however rudely interrupted the AI, telling her it could wait until after this was one.
“You sure about that?” Xiango suddenly asked as he seemed to look around. To Dain it looked as if the green monster was searching for something it could not understand.
It mattered not to the Saiya-Jin. He might have been kinder then Sly, he still did not care for the words of the green monster and he was exited about this. “So how about we go and retrieve the Gete Star and then make a play for the Ravagers?” He asked dead serious. Perhaps for anyone other then the two of them, just that question was enough to turn them away, but Dain just acted as if it was nothing.

"Well well. you have been one busy man huh? Not only do you find a way to overthrow the ravagers, but you also find a suitable piece of bait to prevent the group from dismantling itself once we off the council. Sounds like a horrible plan for the most part. But most of our plans are horrid, due to the fact the odds of success are usually near zero to begin with. The only thing I would add is, once we off the council we rob their stash. I know for a fact they take a decent percentage of our earnings from the jobs they give out. Word is they don't use traditional methods to safeguard these funds. If we could relieve the council of this absorbent amount of money and then equally disperse it through the members of the ravagers, I am certain we would be welcomed much more warmly." As he finished speaking he drew his attention once more to Xiango. Even though he originally ignored his comments he remembered what he quipped and decided it would be an appropriate time to respond, "I give you no credit. You were a slave whose very existence was to do nothing but fight. You should be crazy strong. Also, I think I could take ya on a 1v1 anyhow." He didn't believe that if he was completely honest with himself. But he was not about to give this monster any sort of sympathy for the time being. However, Sly was beginning to grow increasingly suspicious of Xiango. The green being seemed to have a keen sense of his surroundings for a beast the supposedly was nothing more than a slave used for fighting. Sly spoke back to Dain, "I think you should see what the heck Petey wants. I am sure it is nothing of actual importance. But I have noticed the longer you ignore the thing the more impatient and persistent it seems to become." Sly leaned back in his comfy leather chair and took a sip of his alcohol followed by a long smooth puff os the cigar. WC; 350 TWC: 13,639 Dain Sincara
