[Abi Town - Morning]Plains rolling out in every direction. A clear sky, nearly devoid of clouds. A nearby river gently trickling along. The soft baying of nearby sheep. Tranquil would be a good word to describe Abi Town. A bit too tranquil might be more fitting, though. Based upon hearsay from the denizens of Earth, supposedly all contact with the outside world has been cut off from here. There have been no responses to anything from here, and every time people have gone to investigate in person, they'd never come back. A very foreboding premise, almost bringing an apocalyptic visual to mind, and yet it was just...calm. If one were to sense out their surroundings, they'd find a number of animals in the location, going about their usual business. The birds still flew overhead, searching for new meals to eat, squirrels flitted about the trees to find food to store for the winter, and insects move about undetected in their own, little world. As you all approach, all for your own reasons, all of this is revealed to you. Whether by fate or by coincidence, all of you are now coming to approach the town, all of you here due to the mystery surrounding this locale. Andrew C. Creed| Emperor Absolut|@null| Pepa

Eschalot had come to Earth with the intention of learning how the people here coped with the many tragedies that had befallen their planet in recent times. Whilst the average person was still somewhat put-off by her traditional Saiyan battle dress, rumour about this place and the danger it seemed to represent was still ever-present. Who could say what horrors lay in wait in Abi Town?
As the dark-haired woman flew over the surrounding land, it didn’t seem like many horrors waited at all. Eschalot kept her power suppressed to a relatively modest level; enough to stand out like a sore thumb amongst the local population, but not enough to seem overwhelmingly powerful amongst her own people. She was definitely one of the Elite, but she wasn’t broadcasting her true strength as a challenge.
She carved a bright blue trail across the sky as she approached the limits of the village proper, her senses highly attuned and focused on the surroundings. Right now, the only things she could feel were the extremely low-grade power levels of animals.
That, of course, was unusual enough in its own way. The lack of human power signatures made it clear that something terrible had indeed happened here. It could look as idyllic as it liked; towns didn’t just up and vanish for no reason. Something, or someone, had caused the entire population to disappear. And judging by the fact that nobody in the outside world seemed to know what had happened, it had happened quickly enough and thoroughly enough that there weren’t any survivors.
“Well.” She muttered to herself, “The plants and animals are still alive, so it isn’t a radiation leak or biological weapon…”
Those were her first thoughts, and she was pleased that it wasn’t the case. She could be as powerful as she liked, if she got hit with a blast of super-high-powered radiation or some terrifying disease, she was still going to die. Her approach slowed, and she closed her eyes as she focused on the ki in the surrounding area. What killed all the people, so quickly and suddenly that there was no obvious or visible sign of conflict, but left everything else alive? She didn’t like this, not one bit.

Mr. Cam's Reluctant Pupil Were it not for the Saiyan Dominion making peace with Kabocha and thus once again granting free passage to their ships across Saiyan territory, Absolut might have never gotten the chance to visit Earth, the so-called "heart of the Galaxy" thanks to the simple fact that it has been so influential in Galactic affairs ever since the years of the Z-Fighters. After all, Kabocha and Earth are on two completely different sides of the galaxy, and the only way for a person from one side to get to the other is through either Imperial or Saiyan territory. The Empire was not an option for Absolut, so the Saiyan Dominion it was. The news of an entire Earthling village turning into a ghost town and cutting all communications with the outside world for some completely unknown reason managed to reach Kabocha one way or another, and Absolut's trainer, the Saiyan Duria, figured that this was the perfect opening to test his abilities in situations different than your average Kabochan or Ikondan battlefield. Mr. Cam granted his approval, and thus the mission was set. Officially an independent expedition unaligned with the Empire of Kabocha or the Crusher Corps, holding a dozen Kabochan soldiers as entourage and one Frost Demon eager to prove himself to be worthy of the status of a hero, it arrived on the surface of Earth after a few days of travel, setting up camp a dozen kilometers away from Abi Town. There was a problem, however. Even if the Earth Military was too afraid of whatever was happening inside of that town's limits and thus had no desire to intervene, the sight of a Kabochan platoon suddenly invading a town officially controlled by Earth would be far from desirable for the diplomatic relations between the two states. And Emperor Cam had no desire to make any more enemies, no matter how distant, so Absolut came up with a different plan. He'll go alone. A crazy and stupid idea, perhaps. But it was the best option in this situation. If worst comes to worst, and to make sure Absolut doesn't simply use this as an opportunity to escape, the Kabochans in the camp used their scouters to keep track of his position at all times. With a suppressed power level to avoid being noticed, the young Frost Demon made his way through Earth's lushes on foot, getting closer and closer to Abo Town. (404 words) Defensive Phase

Earth was just as beautiful as he remembered. It had been a good month or so since he last saw the sprawling and diverse landscape. Gallius had heard of the horrors of this town from a passing traveler. No man could enter and ever hope to return. Dark forces were at play here, Gallius needed to put them to a stop. The Knight would peer down at the cityscape. Even in the daylight his Galiant Pegasus steed shone like a star. It would appear that nature reclaimed the city. Animals scurried about without a care in the world. Grass and weeds coated the roads. It reminded him of the old ruins which once scattered his home realm. Gallius had noticed a faint blue line which trailed across the sky. Tracing the line with his eyes, the knight would eventually set his gaze upon a figure floating in the air. The line had begun to thicken as it got closer to the figure, it seemed that it was slowing down. Perhaps this thing was what caused the dissappearences. “Citius!” Gallius would shout to his mount, causing it to trot forth with even more vigor. Eventually Gallius would come within mere meters of the figure. “Stop a-” Wait a moment… Was that Eschalot? Gallius would grin slightly as he slowed his mount. “Eshalot! It be gud seen ye ere!” He would shout loudly “Fayt be deemen it fit fer us to werk togethr onse more! Unless… Ye be the cass of thys trubels?” Emperor Absolut Pepa @null Etohn

For a moment, there was nothing but the quaint serenity of the surrounding village. Abi Town, it was called. The sun kissed its pastures with the gentle beckon of warmth and light. Oxen snorted, sheep bleated, ducks waddled along, the tips of their tails swishing as if their march held greater importance than a trip to the nearby lake.
And the next...
Disengage protocol—God Speed.
A great cloud of steam hissed, issuing from the figure that seemed to materialize in the midst of the waddling ducks. They squawked, wings flapping in surprise, beaks snapping in indignation as they, along with other nearby creatures, scrambled to get away from the sudden blight crashing the tranquil morning.
Once the last curling tendrils of white smoke dissipated into the air, Lilica was left standing there, lightly smoothing the wrinkles out of the front of her uniform. Teleportation was one of the few abilities Lilica did not often showcase, save for the need to travel insurmountable distances in mere seconds flat.
Abi Town was next on her list of locales to visit in order to study its inhabitants. Perhaps if she were lucky, a villager or two would be willing to recount it's history to her. Perhaps such a place would do little good in the grand scheme of things, but Alva had assured Lily no amount of data was useless. And so, Lilica continued to travel the expanse of the planet, gathering and accumulating data.
Only... something was off.
It was impossible her scanners would malfunction—so the three energy readings she picked up were real. This village, according to the pre-analysis she'd ran before arriving, had told her it should have been filled with dozens of locals.
Had some mishap befallen the poor villagers?

[Abi Town]As Eschalot speeds towards the city, they would notice that the tops of all of some of the buildings had a flood of white and grey covering them. Thousands of birds, pigeons specifically, were perched upon the roofs of the centermost buildings, cooing unnaturally quietly to each other. Their numbers shift as they slowly move around, gazing at the empty townscape below them in search of their next meal. As the Saiyaness and Gallius near, a small spec could be noticed below on the grass-overturned ground. There seems to be absolutely no energy coming from whatever it is that is moving, while it is too far away for any discernible details to be examined, it definitely is nearing one of the bird-covered buildings. Slowly, it approaches them, the avians visibly stirring at the sight of whatever was below them. Then, without warning, the pigeons erupt into a cacophony of feathers and flying bodies, scattering in every which direction. Soon, every building's roof lay bare, and whatever startled the creatures was gone. [Abi Town Outskirts]Slowly traversing the countryside, a lone Frost Demon would bear witness to arrival of Lilica, ducks frantically quacking as they dash past him to escape the sudden appearance of the android. As they are running through a bush behind Absolut, a yelp sounds off, immediately followed by the sound of twigs snapping. Seemingly rising out of the ground by the bush, a humanoid form begins rising upwards. Cloaked in dark robes and with bright, orange hair, the person dusts themselves off before shifting their eyes to Absolut. "Ahh, hello there. I was hoping that I'd get to watch you unimpeded, but the ducks scared me," he says, a complete and utter lack of emotion staining his words. Almost motionlessly, he continues to stare at the Frost Demon, his eyes lacking any shine behind them. The most unsettling part, however, was his energy. He gave off absolutely no discernible ki, but within his frame, there were small, almost unnoticeable specs of energy signatures, numbering in the thousands. Even being a few feet away from him, it is difficult to even notice them in the first place. "Would you continue letting me watch you?"Andrew C. Creed| Emperor Absolut|@null| Pepa

“Gallius. Good to see you again.”
Eschalot’s greeting wasn’t particularly effusive. When he asked if she was the one who was responsible for this, she shot him a dark look – but she didn’t dignify it with an answer. The air was suddenly filled with pigeons, and that was enough to draw her attention back down to the Earth, where – she couldn’t see anything at all that might be responsible for their flight. It was possible that the pigeons had just been spooked by a natural predator. It was likely, even. She was no expert in the wildlife of Earth cities, but she was sure there were things there that’d eat birds like this.
But still. The hairs on the back of her neck were standing on end. There was something very definitely not right about all this, and she meant to find out what it was.
“If you’re here to help, watch my back. There’s something weird going on. Maybe I can draw it out.”
She drifted down lower to the closest buildings that had been covered by pigeons a moment earlier. She still couldn’t see anything threatening. There was no explanation so far, but she knew she could trust Gallius in a tight situation, and she knew one way to draw out a predator. Either it would run in fear, hopefully exposing itself in the process, or it would attack her, likewise exposing itself in the process.
“KIYAAAAAAAAAAAAH!”
Bright blue flame erupted into life around her as she drew out her full power. Bathing herself in her aura, the air was whipped into violent frenzy, sending feathers flying in a mad whirl as she let her fighting prowess be displayed in full. It was rare she let herself do this, and it felt good to finally let it all just, hang out.
“I know you’re out there!” She bluffed, bellowing down into the empty city. “Show yourself now or I’ll level this whole place and you along with it!” It was a direct threat - a complete gamble, based on violence and little else. It was, in short, a plan completely fitting of a Saiyan Elite.

Mr. Cam's Reluctant Pupil Trailing across the lushes surrounding Abo Town, Absolut had plenty of time to admire the scenery around him. The Frost Demon had visited a number of planets during his short life, but Earth was different from both of the worlds he was most familiar with, this being Abbayor and Kabocha. The former was completely built over and had a purely urban landscape, save for the occasional park, while the latter was a completely desolate wasteland with the only plant on its entire surface being the dying Tree of Might. Compared to both of those, Earth was surely a breath of fresh ai- "Aah!" Absolut yelped upon seeing a mysterious robotic woman suddenly descend to a pond in front of him, hiding behind a tree with his power level still suppressed while the frantically flying ducks covered his way. W-what was that?! Was that the person behind what happened to Abo Town? Maybe he should go and ask about tha- Who was that? That was someone's voice he just heard, for sure. And, as it turns out, Absolut wasn't just imagining things. A person who somewhat resembled an Earthling with dark robes and orange hair rose from the bushes, his ki signature mysterious, composed of hundreds of barely noticeable specs of energy emanating from within his frame, unlike anything the young Frost Demon had ever felt before. The man explained that he was watching Absolut, for god knows what reason, and requested to be able to watch him again. "Um, uh... n-no!" Absolut exclaimed in response, hoping he didn't speak too loudly as to not alarm the android who had just landed in the pond nearby. Why would he ever let someone stalk him? That's just creepy... Preliminary scans complete.
Detecting three energy signatures. Calculating... Four energy signatures. Calculating... three energy signatures. Calculating... calculating... calculating...
"Disengage scan protocol."
Something was causing her scanners to go haywire. And there seemed to be a sudden flood of activity. She barely had time to register the presence of the young Frost Demon traversing the very path Lily had appeared upon before a huge spike of energy caught her attention overhead. Lily glanced up, magnifying her vision as she took in the sight of a powerful figure in the air.
One sat atop a powerful steed of pure energy, while the source of the spike—clad in battle armor—seemed to be shouting a challenge to some mysterious figure below. Another quick scan determined, despite the flood of panicked pigeons filling the skies, there was nothing there that could be detected. But Lily was beginning to learn she could not trust her scanners here.
Another voice caught her attention. Lily returned her gaze to the Frost Demon, yet a second figure stood close by. An immediate suspicion seemed to fill her—less something she could sense, more an inkling of an instinct.
That was the benefit of the Rhaegar-Heart code: it allowed her to see things through a human perspective, sometimes overriding her programming. There was certainly something off about this particular figure.
Deciding against her plan of confronting the Saiyan, Lily instead focused her full attention on the strange figure accosting the frightened Frost Demon. Though it was not her prerogative to protect innocents, Lily would be remiss if she allowed such a being to continue to frighten the Demon. Perhaps he was the culprit behind the strange happenings of this village.
"God Speed."
She vanished in a cloud of steam, only to reappear several meters away, directly in the midst of the odd man and the demon, interrupting their conversation. Again, Lily tried to lock onto his energy signature. It seemed more as if it were a culmination of many smaller signatures, and no two of those seemed the same.
If ever there was a threat to be found, this man was it.
She calmly raised a hand, palm outstretched in the robe clad figure's direction. An orb of red flickering energy formed in her palm, growing to twice the size of her hand.
Potential threat detected. Probable cause of major loss of village population. Threat level unknown.
Recommended course of action...
"Eliminate."
She prepared herself to fire upon the being. It was the most logical course of action.

Gallius’ would feel slightly guilty as the Saiyan gave him a dark look. “I apologise fer assumen such a-” Eschalot would shoot away, having mentioned hunting something and needing someone to watch her back. “Ye gods woman, thys be jus lik em traps all ovr agayne!” He said with exasperation. Gallius would rear his steed and take off after her. She would suddenly burst with a blue aura as he neared her. Gallius knew not why she had done so. Perhaps the color change was to attract the cause of the desolation within this city. Either way, Gallius did not attempt to stop her. He trusted she knew what she was doing. As she stopped and shouted, the knights eyes widened at the threats spewed forth. He would ride up next to her as quickly as possible. “Ceese Echalot, thar be no need fer such rash acten”
Something caught his eye as he attempted to coerce the fiery Saiyan into a more diplomatic approach. Three figures standing apart from one another as if in a standoff. Two seemed normal enough, but the other… It looked to be a lizard of sorts with a bright red face. It seemed to be the species same as that Pirate he once fought. Gallius’ eyes shone brightly as one of the figures went in for an apparent attack. A young maiden with blond hair. He had to stop this.
Gallius loosened the reins and flew forward without so much a word to Eschalot. As the maidens attack grew in size, Gallius managed to park his horse in between the Orange haired figure just in time. “Ceese at onse! Deth shalt not be rot thys day!” He would shout loudly, Golden eyes ablaze within his Great helm. He knew not if the Maiden had heard or ignored him. Either way he would not allow this man to come under any harm. If he was the cause of this disaster, the Earth courts could have him as a prisoner.

Well, everything seemed to escalate rather quickly. Seemingly out of nowhere, Lilica would suddenly be standing by Absolut and the stranger, holding him at ki-blast-point. Then, from the sky itself came a knight in shining armor, mounted atop a glistening steed, to prevent the Android's attempt at the man's life. During this entire exchange, however, the man seemingly didn't pay any heed to such things. Rather, he was, instead of even looking to Gallius and Lilica, pulling out a notebook from his sleeve, no larger than the size of his hand, and would open up the first page of it. On it was a diagram depicting Absolut, with an almost realistic level of detail to it, showing him standing casually. Next to it are dozens of bullet point notes, describing mundane details about the Frost Demon, such as his sex, skin coloration, estimated weight, etc. "I am a biologist named Ambrosia. My reasoning for being here is to study biological creatures. I was watching you since you are an unknown being," he says to Absolut, a monotone, disinterested tone about him. Flipping through his notebook, a couple dozen more drawings of the Frost Demon being flicked past until he stopped upon one showing only a rough sketch of his head. "and I am currently missing details on your tooth structure. Please allow me to study your tooth structure. I can then determine the closest relative to your species on Earth for my research."
Eschalot's display of power causes the buildings within Agi Town to begin rumbling slightly, dozens of animals shoving their way past each other to escape from the shaky structures. The birds surrounding them would continue frantically flying all around the Saiyaness. Bizarrely, though, they didn't seem to be getting very far away from them. Between the powerful winds and absolutely terrifying power she was outputting, it would make sense for the birds to have left as quickly as possible, and yet, they almost seem stuck. A quick glance around them would reveal a possible reasoning for such, however. The sky directly above Eschalot seemed a tinge greener than it should be, and the birds seemed to continually be buffeting against something solid in their attempt to escape. This bizarre barrier seemed to stretch very far out, as well, only the things that could be seen directly outside of the town's limits had the odd tinge. Somehow, a large, green bubble had formed around the entirety of Abi Town. Below, creatures that were previously making a mad dash to escape now slammed uselessly into the transparent barrier, having no success at escaping. From the city down below, a loud cackling would ring throughout the area, seemingly echoing around from every direction. There was no way to track the source of the sound, and still, there was no unusual energies felt below Eschalot.
Suddenly looking towards Abi Town, Ambrosia would point towards it. From the outside, it seemed as though there was some green bubble encompassing it all. At the edges of it, dozens of creatures stood there, occasionally attempting to uselessly walk outside again. "It seems as though it is feeding time. I would recommend that we leave the area. Bad things happen to those that are fed upon."Barrier Health: 70Andrew C. Creed| Emperor Absolut|@null| Pepa

Gallius sped off at top speed, leaving Eschalot behind – the exact opposite of what she’d asked him to do. She couldn’t really blame him, as it looked like there was some commotion down below, but as the situation rapidly became clearer, Eschalot let out a heavy sigh. If he’d just stuck near her, this would have felt a lot safer. But, she was still a Saiyan – it was going to take a lot more than some creepy laughter to scare her.
She took in the barrier, the birds and animals, and her eyes drifted over the ground below her as she turned around, confirming that she still couldn’t see the source of the echoing sound.
“Oh? You think this is funny?” She asked, rhetorically, of the infuriating voice. “You think I’m trapped in here with you? Fool! I’m one of the Saiyan Elite!”
If this individual had to resort to stealth and psychological warfare, she reasoned, it was because it was too weak or cowardly to confront her in a fair fight. If it thought that she was going to be intimidated by that, it had another thing coming! She wasn’t some greenhorn; this wasn’t the first time she’d been placed in a dangerous situation. She’d killed dozens of warriors who thought they’d had her right where they wanted her. This wasn’t going to be any different.
And now that it seemed clear there wasn’t anyone in the town she had to worry about, it was time to show this individual – whatever it was – just what it meant to face off against one of the Elite.
Her fist clenched tight to her side, and she gathered power into it. Brilliant blue energy swirled into her knuckles, and with a sudden pitching motion, she punched down towards the closest building, releasing a burst of explosive power which punched through the roof, and detonated midway down – shattering the concrete and brickwork, and causing the whole edifice to collapse in on itself. Her voice raised in bellowed threat:
“You’re trapped in here with ME!”
(Wordcount: 355 - Eschalot detonates one of the buildings to try and drive the threat into the open.)

Mr. Cam's Reluctant Pupil Everything went so fast. Absolut found himself to be watching quite a spectacle. First of all, remember the android woman Absolut sighted on his trip and fled from only to notice the odd orange stalker from the bushes? Well she was back and with a vengeance, suddenly appearing in between Absolut and the biologist named Ambrosia, declaring him to be the target and gathering an energy ball in preparation for striking him. "Wait wait, what are you doing?!" Absolut exclaimed in fright, flailing his arms, but his words didn't really seem to go anywhere. And that wasn't even all. Suddenly, a horse with an armored rider on top of it crashed down into the field, speaking some gibberish and staring at the blonde android. The landing was so sudden that the young Frost Demon shrieked and leapt back, his heart racing for a few seconds before it became clear that the knight was not here to slay him. And, finally, Ambrosia spoke something cryptic about the beginning of "feeding time" and offered them to evacuate before something unspecified bad happens to them. Okay, okay, this randomness and cryptic hints just isn't going to cut it. Absolut took a deep breath and walked up to the unlikely trio of an android, a knight and a creepy biologist, speaking: "Okay, I'd like to ask this to get back to normalcy, please?" Turning to the android and knight, Absolut spoke: "First of all, who are you two, and..." An idea suddenly popped into his head - or, more accurately, a thought on what they might be doing here. "...are you here to investigate Abo Town as well?" And turning to the biologist Ambrosia, he continued: "And what do you mean by 'feeding time'? And, just to be clear, you should perhaps ask before stalking me for pictures..." (303 words) Defensive Phase

This was a rather irritating deterrent from her initial objective. And to top matters off, a strange occurrence was happening. The ground beneath their feet had began to rumble. Crimson eyes widening in shock, Lily let the energy gathered at her palm dissipate before it could be discharged on either the odd figure—having now introduced himself as Ambrosia—or the gallant knight who thought it pertinent to protect him.
The earth shuddered and trembled, fissures beginning to appear several meters away. Evil laughter echoed menacingly throughout Abi Town, before abruptly closed off by a large green dome forming over the perimeter. Animals bleated and clawed in a flurry of noise, fighting to escape the barrier yet finding themselves trapped within.
"Initial objective dismissed." Lily sighed, flicking one of her thick ponytails aside with a flippant toss of her hand. "Ugh, so annoying. Fine—I won't eliminate him... looks like we have an even bigger problem."
Lily flew away from the ragtag group of strangers, landing just a few inches shy of the newly erected barrier.
Scanning obstruction. Preliminary scans complete.
"Some sort of barrier, eh?"
It was sturdy, too, keeping the debris from the exploding building within from billowing out of the blast radius of the Saiyan woman's erratic attack. Pursing her lips in annoyance at the woman, Lily rolled her eyes and began to examine the barrier once more.
"Perhaps our energy is best spent dealing with this for now. The sooner we get inside, the sooner we can uncover what's happening here," she spoke over her shoulder to the rest of the group. "Or, by the time we get in there, that woman will have destroyed all possible evidence. How else can I run a proper analysis? Ugh... Saiyans."

The knight’s eyes would begin to widen with worry as the Maniacal laughter edged closer and closer. He would quickly turn to see the other’s also acknowledging it and acting fast. A sigh of relief would escape from him as he quickened to join the group. Gallius reared his horse around to face Absolut. “Aye, me gole ere be to stop watevr be casen such trable. Tho I fere that it hath fownd us!” He would shout as the laughter grew louder and louder He would turn to the Android with a glint in his eye. “An do not speek ill of me fren. Ye alredy be on thin ise wit tryen to merder thys man” He would beckon to Ambrosia. “Don test me anymore, girl” Gallius would hop off his horse, dispelling it with a bright flash of light. He would then proceed to form a Pike. Couldn’t be too careless with this barrier, it could have some kind of stunning effect or worse. He would swiftly stab at it five times to test its durability and/or hopefully break it. After doing so, he would turn to Ambrosia. “Ye seem to no abot thys. I implore ye to anser the boy’s queshons, an truthfully at that”
