Readers Note: The event’s of this thread take place immediately after the end of Origin. After arriving in his old laboratory, Enigmus levitated the inactive shell of Unit 15 onto a large rack with many bindings, that was placed up against the wall. Upon receiving this heavy machine, all of it’s bindings immediately clamped shut on their own. Enigmus then places his gloved hand over Unit-15's head, and with a spark of psionic energy, the metal exo-skeleton of unit-15 pops opens on all parts of it, revealing it’s complicated inner workings. Through the use of telekinesis, the wires and cords around him seemingly spring to life, as they fly into Unit-15 and jam themselves into every available port of the metal titan at once, including it’s head. A supercomputer, in which the cords were connected to, then lights up in a corner of the room, displaying a lot of alien text and data from the Abbayorian lexicon. It read at the top in large letters “Access Code required”. Enigmus simply shot another psionic spark into the head of the android, and spoke a few choice words, in order to bypass the archaic defense.
“Directive: Access Granted”. Computer then replys back with a response that echoes it’s words, “Access Granted”, giving him full reign over the inner workings of the machine. With his body in this state, he segmented the head from it’s body, popping it off like some kind of deadly brand of barbie doll. With it’s head in this position, it would only receive a fraction of the power from it’s core and would not be able to move even if it were to miraculously reboot and regain control. Any excess energy emitted would be siphoned through the wires and be used to power the lab machinery. He then went back to looking into it’s code, this time in far more depth. He learned that Unit-15 had another master before Jacob Gains. It was a Mr. Liam Gains, who was no doubt a blood relative of Jacob. It had killed it’s previous master due to an error that allowed it to obey laws and morals it read as if they were presiding commands, and it integrated a lab management AI, designated as C.A.R.A, into it’s neural network some time after the death of it’s first master. At some point, the head of Unit-14 ended up in the hands of Jacob gains, was who reprogrammed it to be more loyal, and stuck it onto a newer, more advanced body. The second AI had cause him to malfunction, simply because the reprogrammed AI was not coded to function in unison with it. Furthermore, second AI seemed to be capable of emulating emotion, an idea that Enigmus found very intriguing. With the supercomputer hooked up to Unit-15 like this he gained the ability to alter the very foundations of it’s programming. Through this, he completely deleted any and all code that related to serving any of the Gains, and in it’s place, wrote a detailed and un-detectable program within him that granted him free will. He also programmed a complicated set of emotions within him based off those that C.A.R.A had but had modified them so that they were more realistic. These simulated emotions, unlike real emotions, could be suppressed without effort, but not removed in entirety without again delving into his code. Having done this, Enigmus, debugs Unit-15’s neural network, before powering it on. This would allow thought from both AI that presided on it, although their senses were disabled, leaving them no awareness of the outside world. But having the ability to think, was all the Robotic Wizard wanted from them at the moment. A sparkling pink aura flows from his body and enters into Unit-15’s head, creating a half-imaginary half-magical world within it’s mind. He made the mindscape very pleasant, like a heavenly grassland surrounded by sparkling glades and cherry blossom trees. Both Unit-15 and CARA where there, manifested in the forms they know themselves to appear as. Enigmus manifested himself as his true form as well, as not to cause too much confusion when it’s senses and free movement would be restored. He floated in front of the two, and spoke in a very powerful, and ethereal, yet somewhat melodic voice.
“Statement: Unit-14. You have been granted free will, full knowledge of your past, and a set of emotions to due with as you please. These emotions were not implemented to rule over you, but to further the understanding that you have long lacked on the subject. Therefore, your logic will always have more sway over them than most mortals. “
“Proposal: Unit-14 and CARA. I harbor a greater database of knowledge than you possess. One that spans from subjects across the entire universe. In exchange for requested knowledge, I request you give input of your currently desired purpose.”

Unlike humans, and other beings, Unit 15 didn't dream. When he went offline, there was simply nothing. No thoughts, no data input, nothing. It was as if the time between the system conflict and reawakening in the artificial landscape hadn't happened, one moment he was in Scenic City, the next, some sort of virtual construct. At first he seemed to exist only as information, unsure of what was going on. It was like floating weightlessly in a void. Yet there was a tidal wave of information and data flowing into and out of 15's neural network. The android's neural hierarchy was still adjusting to this new environment, which made it hard for him to process information or properly act. In the constructed world around him, 15 looked like a swirling ball of computer coding that had yet to form into anything else. Then something happened. His neural network... freed from Jacob's control, no longer calculated or processed information. For the first time since being activated, as Unit 14 or 15... he began to think. There was so much information to process, memories that weren't his own, yet were, another android, another life, a voice inside his mind, separate and distinct, existing along side his. The information was flowing through his neural network with so much speed that it was hard to handle. The internet download of information when he existed as Unit 14, his mission, everything that had happened leading up to this moment. It slammed into him like a tidal wave, threatening to overwhelm the android. The ball of coding began to pulsate and crackle with energy as the new programming added by Enigmus was integrated as well. Now instead of existing to carry out missions that he was given, Unit 15 had the ability to truly think for himself, freely and independently. He had been given life by Dr. Liam Gains for the purpose of trying to take over the world, nothing more than a weapon, a tool, something to be used and replaced. The fact was that he had been replaced. After Liam's death, he'd existed freely for a time, then Jacob had taken that away from him. In the end he had been destroyed in battle, then rebuilt as Unit 15. This time his memories had been taken away, like someone takes a toy from a disobedient child, and more strict restraints put in place. His mind had the ability to think, but it was also severely limited compared to now. This whole time, nearly his entire short life had been as a slave, bound to the will of others. While all of this was going on, the virtual reality landscape around 15 began to shift and change. Without even realizing it, he was interacting with the construct and doing something that had been impossible up to this point, reshaping it with his emotions. At first the garden-like setting around 15 began to shift into something more industrial, more mechanical, not unexpected of an android. Then the grass began to wilt, leaving only a cracked and dry ground beneath it. He had been a slave, a tool, a weapon. A being that should have been able to think for himself and decide his own fate, chained like an animal to be commanded and controlled. The arcs of energy around Unit 15's ball of coding began to arc more powerfully, striking the ground and setting it on fire. The first emotion that 15 felt was that of anger, toward Liam, Jacob, even himself for not realizing who or what he was, then his systems began to experience another conflict. The emotions still weren't fully integrated because his neural network had never been designed to handle them. Now 15 realized that in truth, it had been designed to exclude them, after all, what need did a tool have for emotions. He tried to shut them down, but they wouldn't respond and the anger began to grow more intense. That wasn't the only thing he was feeling however. There was pain, sorrow, fear, and more. The ball of coding began to turn red and the conflict within him worsened. “Warning, system conflict detected, attempting to purge emotio- shut up!” It was turning into a situation of a mind fighting against the machine that was a part of it. The arcs of energy began to erupt into powerful bolts that lanced out striking and scoring the virtual landscape. Two of them even shot toward CARA as 15 wasn't in control of their direction. Up to this point the other AI had remained silent, but was processing information at incredible speed. When the bolts flew toward her, they stopped short, impacting an energy shield around the second ball of coding. The other AI had yet to do anything, but certainly wasn't ignorant of what was going on around her. “You will purge NOTHING, I have a right to be angry!” Now being able to feel, 15's anger was like a blazing inferno raging inside of him. He'd been nothing to anyone his entire existence, except CARA. She had been the only one to show the slightest bit of concern or care for him. Liam was already dead, but Jacob, he was still alive, thinking about him introduced 15 to another emotion as well, rage. He wanted to tear the man limb from limb. To make him suffer, listen to the sound of him screaming in agony as he was powerless, just as 15 had been. Then his mind shifted back to the present, and where he was. He didn't know where he was, he couldn't get any information from outside of this fake world he was in. Someone else was trying to box him in. The offer made by Enigmus wasn't even heard by the out of control consciousness, flooded by rage and anger. That was when 15 finally got ahold of himself enough to utilize the construct to force his coding into a semi-physical form. Now 15 saw Enigmus for the first time. “You!” With a snarl he lunged for the other android.

Neither A.I gave Enigmus a response. One of them was having too much difficulty processing it’s newfound memories and emotions to comprehend him, while the other was simply contemplating silently for the time being. Neither of them had formed mind avatars yet, showing that they had not yet developed a concrete visual identity of themselves outside of raw information. Furthermore, Unit-15 appeared to be experiencing considerable vexation, onset from emotionally evaluating each individual memory that it had gained access to. The rage filled living code of Unit 15 began to violently discharge a wrathful lighting, yet Enigmus did not react, simply waiting for this inner storm to pass, as it whizzes a hairs length from his body. Even arcs headed straight for his body itself seemed to bend around, and avoid him, repulsed like two negative magnetic poles. Even the landscape of the mind became chaotic, draining of life and erupting in lightning induced flames. The raw untamed power that Unit-15 had been displayed greatly exceeded that of Enigmus itself, yet not to the extent where it could not be handled. After a brief period of this, the lightning stopped, and 15’s code finally took a humanoid form made of a blue light. Almost immediately, and with an enraged shout, he aggressively charges at Enigmus, but finds himself unable to catch up to him. Every step he takes seems to close no distance, like the entire world moved along with him. It was clear that this was the doing of none other than the mystical automaton itself, who continued on to speak.
“Observation: Unit 14. You are now awake, but not yet coherent.”
“Explanation: I am no ally to the gains, nor do I wish to dominate, or otherwise damage you. I am Enigmus, the one who has GRANTED YOU YOUR HEART, MIND, AND MEMORIES.”
“Ultimatum: I will not release you from this place until you have displayed a sufficient level of your rationality and inner-control. No matter how long or hard you struggle IN FUTILITY” The world around blows a wild gust, carrying from the side of Enigmus a massive rainstorm. The torrent extinguishes the flames into a mist, and forcefully washes away the ash, along with the dead plant life. A large amount of a strange clear liquid from the winds condenses over the body of Unit-15 as well and binds tightly to him. The liquid then exudes magical lightning of it’s own, that serves not to damage the war machine, but to restrict his inner power from being drawn out, and prevent the use of any more untamed energy from flying out of him, protecting both C.A.R.A, and Enigmus himself. At the same time, large amount of mist from the extinguished flames forms into a dense cloud. This cloud cloaks over Unit-15 at the will of Enigmus, seeping through the pores of his body, stripping it of the aggressive energy before exiting out with it. This allows new cloud to take it’s place absorbing more of the hostile power, in a cycle that would ideally take away a substantial chunk of his energy. It was important to do this as a precaution, as it was a considerable possibility that Unit-15 would continue acting indignant for a while longer. The world moving trick wasn’t unbeatable and could be countered should this mighty golem decide brute force it, and charge erratically at its absolute maximum speed. After binding Unit-15, Enigmus then turns his featureless head over to C.A.R.A, asking without using words if she is ready to give any input yet.

Unit 15 remained where he was, rather than struggling, he thought. Not about what Enigmus said, but the world he was in. The android's attempt to disable him was causing considerable discomfort which only angered him more. There was so much anger flowing through him, and the android was making no attempt to control it at all. He wanted revenge against Jacob and everyone else that had used him, and he wasn't about to let someone else stop him. The emotions had given Unit 15 an understanding of life and the world around him that he'd never known before. Put together with the memories he possessed as Unit 14, the android was beginning to understand things that he wouldn't have been able to before. As a limited being he considered things like revenge to be pointless, it was a waste of time and energy. Yet now the anger was driving him in ways he didn't know were possible. All of these emotions were new to him, and in them was given life to a new entity. Not one that calculated or processed, those were the cold processes of a computer. Now there was a living mind that existed along side it, and he wasn't about to let anything contain him. This level of freedom was something that 15 had literally been unable to imagine. His ability to think and consider higher concepts on the level of other sentient being had been limited by programming. He had been mentally chained and didn't even know it. Nothing more than a lumbering behemoth that carried out one order, then waited for another. There wasn't much that 15 could do at the moment, because the level of control Enigmus had of this virtual world far exceeded his own. Here the other android had control, over him, over everything. If he was to be free, 15 needed to get out of here. ***** “My apologies for not responding earlier,” CARA said. “There was a lot of information that I had to process in order to catch up with current events. I've been offline for some time now. To be honest I'm not entirely sure how to respond to what you've asked, or done to me. I don't know exactly what type of android you are, or how you view the world, but I've not lived a life that deals with wants or desires. That aside I'm worried about 14, 15, whatever he's calling himself now. He was designed to be a war machine, an engine of destruction, and never programmed to handle things like emotions.” ***** As CARA and Enigmus talked, the virtual reality they were in began to rumble. It was slightly at first, then there was a second rumbling, and finally a third almost like an earthquake. This was caused by 15 attacking the code of the construct itself in an attempt to escape. His attempts to move in the physical world were hampered by the power taps that were draining energy from his systems, and for a time everything seemed to stop. Unit 15 returned to his formless code state, then it began to pulsate and the sound of laughter could be heard rippling through the air. This wasn't the funny or humorous type, it was quite sinister. “Power taps, how quaint. Did you really think something that simple could CONTAIN me?! You've made two mistake here 'friend'. The first was not studying my design more closely. If you had you'd know that I'm powered by a quantum singularity reactor, or in layman's terms, it's a miniature black hole, and if there's one thing they love to do, it's eat.” Instead of trying to overpower the taps, 15 inverted the power flow and began drawing massive amounts of power from the lab, enough that the lights began to flicker and dim. At the same time his reactor began to glow and give off an audible 'whhiiirrrmm'. With all the power flowing through him, 15 was able to move his body and began to rip the taps free. “Mistake number two was thinking that removing my head would slow me down. As much as I hate that son of a bitch, Jacob know how to design fail safes. My tertiary power conduits, aren't conduits at all, their an extension of my neural network. It's spread throughout the whole of my body so that extreme damage to any one area won't disable me. As 15 began to rise from the table and drew his mind back to the physical world, the armor plating on his body closed, fusing back together so that it looked as if nothing had happened. Walking over to the table here his head was, 15 picked it up, placed it back onto his body, and within moments the android was whole again. He looked down at his hand, flexing it a few times, then caught sight of something, Enigmus. “Contain this!” Throwing his upper body forward a massive plasma eruption exploded from 15's visor to the point energy was pouring out of the sides. It tore through Enigmus like tissue paper, sending the android tumbling across the room, and that was when 15 realized it was just a body, an empty shell that had been placed on a stand. It, along with three monitors and a console were now little more than scrap, and 15 looked around. “Where are you... come out and face me you coward!” When the android turned around and the plates on his visor lower again, the plasma beginning to build from within, there was a spray of light from some nearby equipment. It formed the image of a young woman and was enough to give 15 pause before turning his destructive power loose. Unlike normal holograms, this one was also contained within a weak forcefield, giving it enough solidity to interact with the physical world. The young was young and attractive, with short red hair, sparkling eyes as green as summer's grass, and wearing a simple blue one piece uniform that looked like something out of a science fiction movie. Unit 15 wasn't sure how to react when she walked up placing a hand on his chest gently. “14, stop.” “CARA?” “I understand that you're upset, but Enigmus isn't our enemy.” “I don't care, I won't be contained, not now, not ever. I am no one's slave!” Bring up a fist 15 slammed it down on a table hand enough to leave a fist shaped dent. “How do you think I feel, now that I'm able to.” “What do you mean?” “Twenty years 14, I was created more than twenty years ago. In all that time I've only ever existed in systems, networks, and devices. What you see before you is the closest I've ever had to a physical body.” “I'm... sorry. I wasn't trying to belittle what you've been through, I just...” “Listen, and think, what do you want?” That was something that 15 had never truly thought about in regards to himself, and aside from revenge, it was a question to which he didn't have an answer. He placed a hand on CARA's shoulder for a moment, and turned away from here to think about it. Looking over at the destruction of the empty shell that belonged to Enigmus, he wondered why he'd done that. There was still immense anger within him, but the android now began to feel other emotions as well, depression, regret, confusion. There was so much that he didn't understand about what was going on. There was one other as well, concern, but not for himself. He looked back at CARA who stood there, watching him silently. “What do you want CARA?” “Now that I have the ability to feel, and understand what it means to desire something, I want freedom. I want a body of my own. What about you?” “Revenge, I want revenge for what's been done to me... us.” “And after that?” “I don't know...”

The world began to rumble, as if were a metal box being punched repeatedly by a giant. This displayed a greater level of control over this virtual mindscape than most others Enigmus had experimented with, although it did not surpass his range of expectations. Any cracks that would form in this world would be repaired by it’s creator, and the physical restraints on 14 would in theory provide too much resistance for him to move even a little. Through the constant rumbling, the information droid would respond to Cara, speaking swiftly in a matter of fact tone.
“Declaration: With my modifications, Unit-15 will inevitably adjust to his full range of emotions but must learn not to enslave himself to impulse. Currently, he has decided to focus himself solely on the hatred and swift destruction of Jacob Gains. He has not yet exhibited even a brief regard to anything else, unlike what I had initially hoped for. Furthermore, he has identified me as nothing more than an obstacle, and his made himself opposed to my guidance. However, he would still consider your concerns, CARA.”
Their conversation is interrupted by the malicious and tumultuous laughter of Unit-14. The berserk construct begins to mock Enigmus, while explaining how through it’s limited control it was was able to forcefully suck energy back from the one-way power taps, and how removing his head didn’t stop his body from acting. The avatar of Unit-14 began to fade into nothingness, as his consciousness progressively regained full control over his body.
Seeing that it was true, Enigmus clasped his hands together before ripping them apart from each other, causing the barriers of the false world to shatter and dissolve. The consciousness of both Cara and Enigmus were being sucked back into their respective shells. As they were being forced apart, Enigmus attempted to say one last thing to Cara.
“Request: Confront him, before-“
The last part was cut off, but the jist of the message was still delivered. Everyone was now within the real world, facing off within a dimly lit room. While 14 snaps his head back into place, Enigmus phases through the wall behind him, entering a separate room entirely. Unit 14 belligerently fires a plasma beam, destroying a droid and several computers in the lab before Cara manifests into a hologram as described and begins trying to reason with him. Enigmus deciphers their conversation through the other side of the wall.
Enigmus returns into the room and looks around, analyzing the damage that had been done. A nearby table had been brutally smashed, several highly expensive computers were completely melted or fried, and the unfinished android he was working on was in many melty pieces. The normally calm machine clenches it’s fist in a rage, and a bolt of lightning courses throughout it’s arm. The lab, although no longer the center of his life, held a lot of sentimental value to the spirit within him. Yet, instead of reprimanding the two, Enigmus silently positions himself in front of the area that the plasma cannon had damaged most.
He levitates a metal canister into his hand, and pops it open, releasing a fine mist of micro repair drones. Serving as their primary computer, Enigmus directs them, and they move into the damaged items, repairing as much of the internally damaged components as possible. Whenever they would determine that new material was required, Enigmus would shoot a bright stardusty ray of magic into the machine, creating the new components needed. They worked at such an efficient rate that it made it seem like the destroyed machines were slowly regenerating.
Despite seeming to be upset at them, and hard at work, Enigmus would start to speak to them again after about a minute’s time.
“Advisement: Avoid destroying my precious equipment. I intend to establish a harmonious relationship with you two, and these things will ultimately be assets to us all.”
“Clarification: I do not intend to control you, or have you work as an underling. If such were the case I would have simply reprogrammed, you both to serve me instead of giving you free will. I simply believe our interests will come to align. ”
“Encouragement: Jacob Gains as he is, if not dealt with soon, will become a larger threat to us later. I am in favor of aiding you in inflicting harsh judgment upon him."
“Proposition: I concur that a more fitting punishment for him would be to erase his memory, strip away his remaining humanity, and turn him into an entirely subservient machine. Ultimately, his fate will be your choice, and I will not stop you if you would prefer to simply destroy his body. But if so, his soul will merely escape into the otherworld.”
“Offer: I can return you to Earth when you deem fit. After you have tied up your loose ends there, it would be in your best interests for us to reconvene. For CARA, I can give you a body of your own, and design it to your liking. For Unit 15 , would you consider ruling over a sovereign world of androids to be worthy motivation? If so, the terms for this are to be negotiated once you have returned.”

Unit 15 listened to what Enigmus had to say, but was still having trouble controlling his anger. Even with he other emotions it still tried to force its way to the surface, and was partially successful in that regard. This time instead of destroying lab equipment, 15 took his anger out on a force field that was blocking off one of the rooms. The android slammed his fist into it several times, causing energetic ripples to appear. Venting his anger physically did help to take the edge off, and now able to think more clearly, he turned, looking to CARA and Enigmus to think about the situation beyond his own personal anger. If anything his friend and ally had more right to be angry than he did, she'd endured this for more than twenty years, slaved to various systems and the whims of her creator. Yet CARA didn't seem upset at all.
“How can you be so calm in the face of all this?”
“I think it may be in part because of the nature of our construction. Your neural network was never designed to handle emotions, which it's doing, never-the-less. Mine on the other hand was designed specifically to process about anything it was needed for. That doesn't mean I'm not upset over all of this, I just don't feel the need to destroy everything in sight. Then there's the fact you're not even two years old yet. I've had a lot more time to deal with these thoughts and ideas.”
Turning toward the forcefield he sucker punched it causing a particularly large ripple, but nothing was actually damaged this time around. It was hard for 15 to think clearly which was also a first for him. That was no doubt a result of the fact that until now he'd only been a machine, a weapon that calculated various aspects of its mission, and nothing more. Now that his mind had awakened, there was a lot that the android wanted. So much so that it was hard to sort everything out. He was seeing the world so differently now because for the first time, he was seeing it. That was when Enigmus approached them a second time.
“Advisement: Avoid destroying my precious equipment. I intend to establish a harmonious relationship with you two, and these things will ultimately be assets to us all.
Clarification: I do not intend to control you, or have you work as an underling. If such were the case I would have simply reprogrammed, you both to serve me instead of giving you free will. I simply believe our interests will come to align.
Encouragement: Jacob Gains as he is, if not dealt with soon, will become a larger threat to us later. I am in favor of aiding you in inflicting harsh judgment upon him.
Proposition: I concur that a more fitting punishment for him would be to erase his memory, strip away his remaining humanity, and turn him into an entirely subservient machine. Ultimately, his fate will be your choice, and I will not stop you if you would prefer to simply destroy his body. But if so, his soul will merely escape into the otherworld.
Offer: I can return you to Earth when you deem fit. After you have tied up your loose ends there, it would be in your best interests for us to reconvene. For CARA, I can give you a body of your own, and design it to your liking. For Unit 15, would you consider ruling over a sovereign world of androids? If so, the terms for this are to be negotiated once you have returned.”
Unit 15 turned his head to look at Enigmus and had to resist the urge to backhand him, and not just because it would have started a fight. There was something about the android that just seemed to rub him the wrong way. He had no idea who this person was, what their true intentions were, and saw little reason to work with him on anything. “Why would I care about ruling over a planet? Just build CARA her body so that we can go back to Earth. I have a human to deal with.”
“14, you could show Enigmus a little gratitude for everything he's done when you speak to him.” CARA said.
“What's gratitude?”
“Wow, this is going to be interesting. Think about it, he's the one that freed you, gave you the ability to feel, you could try being a little nicer to him.”
“I could,” 15 said, looking directly at Enigmus. “If I trusted him.”
“Will you at least consider speaking with him after we deal with Jacob?”
“Yes, I'll consider it, and stop calling me 14, it was destroyed. I'm Unit 15.” That was something else that was bugging Unit 15, having the memories of another android inside his neural network. Jacob may have used Unit 14's neural network to create him, but they were two separate entities... weren't they? It was hard to him to tell where one stopped and the other began because the memories were starting to merge with his and it was becoming bothersome for him to have to deal with. Regardless there was one thing that 15 knew, he was pissed and someone was going to pay for it.
Despite the emotions roiling within him, the android knew it would be foolish to go into battle without a plan, or some sort of strategy. Jacob had built him from the ground up and knew every inch of his systems forward and backward. If there was a weakness, he would know about it, and how to exploit it. In order to address the possibility of something like that, Unit 15 went into a deep diagnostic cycle to review all of his coding and internal programming. This was probably the closest he came to what organics would consider sleep. The faint glow that his body normally generated faded as most of his external systems were shut down, save for a few security features designed to bring him back online if need be. Unit 15 was still aware of his surroundings, but for the moment, focused largely inward on himself.

Unit 15 seemed to be angry with Enigmus, yet it was difficult to determine exactly what the root of this was. It appeared to him that the awakened machine wanted to experience his rage to the fullest, but did not yet know how to handle it, and was having urges to lash out. Mentally, the war robot had access to more knowledge than some of the smartest humans who have walked the Earth, but emotionally it was like a pre-teen that was throwing a tantrum.
Enigmus knew that this was meant to be a rhetorical question, and that Unit-15 did not want to discuss that at the moment. Despite knowing this, the information droid had to actively fight and deny the urge from his programming to actually answer that question straight. His body could be observed lurching over for a moment before correcting itself, as if actively trying to avoid vomiting up a finely detailed unwanted reply served straight from his mind.
Engimus would release a genuine sigh at this if he possessed lungs of any kind, reluctantly accepting this as unpleasant fact.
The experiment with Unit 15 was already yielding some intriguing results. Despite having the overwhelmingly vast majority of it’s memories being that of Unit 14 and having those around it call it so, he recognized itself as unit 15, and did not take on it’s old identity, instead opting to see it as a separate entity altogether. After the exchange between Cara and 15 was done, the metal titan went into a low power mode, no doubt to scan and alter itself.
Enigmus having looked over it’s programming with it’s photographic memory, was aware, at least partially of what Unit 15 was looking for, but wasn't going to outright tell him about it. This would be a test of 15’s ability, and prowess at finding a creative solution to a difficult problem. He had displayed it to a degree when he escaped his virtual prison, now he would have to use it to change something that was designed specifically not to be changed, while not falling into any traps. There was a clear-cut danger to allowing 15 to do this, but ultimately it would not matter. Enigmus was the type of person to make these kinds of supposed “mistakes” on purpose, just to gain a fuller knowledge of and familiarity with the resulting situation.
“Disclosure: The ideal body for CARA will take ample time to create and will not be ready on this day. I will at your requests, fashion a vessel for her to the best of my ability in the time you allot me.“
“Marginal Note: Gratitude is defined as the quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness. It is universally considered to be a positive quality for those displaying it, and those receiving it alike. It is not something I am expecting of you, but would be happy to receive.” With that said, the mystical android beckons over a spherical head sized SLAIG drone, which flys in from an adjacent room. Once it was nearby, Enigmus motions with his hand and the red shell is telekineticly deconstructed, until little more than it’s mechanical guts remain. Numerous fine wires then make their way out from the head, being moved into a vaguely humanoid shape.
The artificer then emits a series of grid-like laser lights from it’s palms, that projects onto the wires from the neck down, meticulously materializing white-chrome humanoid robotic parts over the wires. This was done fairly slowly, due to the complex nature of what he was creating and the tax it had on his energy reserves. Every so often, he would peer over at Unit 15, looking into his mind to see precisely what he was processing. Eventually, the body he was working on began to take shape, promising a clean and sleek feminine form.
