The sun shone its bright beams of light all across the generally lively forest. The forest was far from silent, as the usual sounds of the forest could be easily heard. The chirp of birds, the buzz of insect wings, the croak of frogs and the occasional thumping of a tree trunk could be heard. Thumping of a tree trunk? Somewhere in the centre of the forest was a human male attacking several trees repetitively out of frustration. Multiple trees had already collapsed due to this so called "training". He continued this near meaningless process, until he abruptly halted his movements. He ceased his attacks on the defenseless trees, and now leaned his back against the poor, shattered tree he had been abusing. He panted heavily, he wasn't tired in the slightest, but nevertheless he had decided to recuperate. A white mouse had appeared from under a rather large leaf. It had stood on its hind legs and it glared at him. He returned the glare, and gave it a wink. The rodent scurried off. Elrick had made good friends with a lot of animals in the forest. Or, he thinks so. He had been on his lonesome for quite some time. He would take his back off of the supportive tree, taking a few steps foward, before coming to a stop, whipping his body around to face the tree, hurling a broad, purplish beam consting of burning ki towards the tree. The lower trunk of the tree was immediately vaporized. As the large plant fell, he contemplated his next move. He had made little to no progress with his training. If he wanted to "catch up" with his desired progress, he would have to get abnormally powerful in at least a month. It had seemed nigh impossible to him, but according to his thoughts, if he set goals in hard to reach places, he'd work twice as hard, right? Either way, he had quickly realized that training alongside a partner aided people when it came to attaining power. He attempted to get someone's attention by raising his power level, until his power slammed into the figurative wall. "That should be enough," He declared. He hoped someone close enough to sense his presence. As a precaution against unusually powerful evil beings, he dropped his power almost immediately afterwards. He then found some dirt, grounded it into dust, and his in a nearby bush. He had a flimsy escape plan in mind. He patiently waited for a ki source to move towards him.

Thast had been training in the wastelands outside of South city for what seemed to be half a year at this point. This particular day, he was sitting atop a small pillar of rocks meditating. Images of himself fighting an opponent that did not exist would flash through his mind. This was the power of image training, one Yin had taught him to wield. He would be able to train without even lifting a muscle. Not only would his mind sharpen, but his ki would as well. A slight breeze would drift through the air, it was a cold day, and the weather channel said to expect some light wind, so that would be no surprise... After a second, another, but far more powerful gust of wind would blow by the meditative earthling. Looks like those winds were a bit stronger than the weatherman had indicated, strange. Thast would close his eyes again to resume his training, when one final gust of wind would be enough to send him falling off his pillar! The young fighter fell about five feet before taking flight back into the air. "Where is that coming from?" Thast would scan the surrounding area until he heard a distant boom followed by yet another gust of wind. It seemed to all be coming from a forest where a massive amount of trees were strangely collapsing! "Yin, Yang. Let's go check that out..." Thast would blast off into the direction of the trees. Once he had reach the sky above the forest, he would see a man reclining against a destroyed tree. Was this the guy wrecking the place? "Hey, you there." he would descend from the air, now standing ten feet from Elrick. "What's all the commotion? You a lumberjack or a fighter? Nevermind, that power level of yours tells me your a fighter... Looking for a challenge I'd bet. Well you caught me in a good mood. Name's Thast, Thast Rowens. Elrick had suddenly felt a ki source head straight towards him. "Damn..." Was all he could say. What else could he say? The power headed towards him was at least twenty times larger than his own. Every muscle in his system tensed as an adult male landed about ten feet away from him. Was this man a Human or a Saiyan? The resemblance between the two races was beyond uncanny. Either way, did it matter? If he engaged this man he would be annihilated. Still, it was a challenge. Fighting an opponent much stronger than you was a great way to test your strength and push yourself to your limit. The man inquired about Elrick's profession. He would chuckle as the man asked if he was a lumberjack. He was most certainly not a lumberjack, but he was a fighter, for certain. The man then offered a fight. Perfect... "Hehe, I'm definitely not a lumberjack, but am a fighter. I think I'll take you on if you insist." He crouched, getting into a basic fighting pose. He would smirk, feigning confidence. He wasn't particularly fond of getting his ass handed to him, but if he wanted to get stronger, he must take this man on in one on one combat. He began his attack by forming a ball of purple ki in his hand, tossing it at Thast. He then immediately charged towards his opponent, intending to throw a heavy punch at the man's gut, to provide maximum discomfort for his opponent. He would have to deal some lasting damage now, or else he would be overwhelmed.

The man seemed to be one of few words, Thast could respect that. Apparently, he was the one who had been bulldozing the forest all this time, that would make the fight all the more interesting. The difference in power between the two was staggering an a way. Thast decided it would be best to hold back, and play along. He would show this man a taste of true power soon enough. The earthling would crack his neck and enter a classic boxing stance. Before Elrick's eyes, he would see Thast's power level drop drastically. "I'll take it easy on ya for a few rounds. That way we can have some real fun, but then I'll show you my true power." Thast was confident, perhaps too confident, but this time the power gap was on his side. It was a nice change of pace actually... Thast would allow Elrick to get in the first blow as he had mentioned earlier. First, small energy ball would be flung his way. This would be simple enough to stop, Thast caught the ball of energy in mid-air and proceeded to crush it between his fingers. a small, yet powerful explosion seeped out from his closed hand. "That was pretty cool. Any other tricks?" just as he said this, a massive fist came flying towards his gut. Usually, an attack like this would have caused quite the damage, but Thast was on edge. As the attack would fly for him, he would disappear and the reappear behind the man. "My turn."Thast would rotate his position slightly, and a grin would come over his face. He would then flip into the air, attempting to land a butterfly kick against Elrick's cheek. To follow up, he duck down slightly and attempt an open palm strike on his opponent's chest. Elrick had not been surprised when his ki blast had been abruptly cancelled. It was only a distraction anyways. He threw the punch, eyes going wide as he missed completely. "Woah," So close... Had he hit that punch it would have given him the edge. Thast dropped his power level, stating that he wanted to have some fun. In that case, Elrick decided to attempt to push this guy to his limits. It was not going to happen, but he had to give it his all. Thast immediately went on the offensive, charging towards Elrick, delivering a butterfly kick which Elrick sidestepped. He felt the force behind that kick. A small gust of wind blew against him. Elrick avoided the oncoming palm strike by performing a front flip, flipping over Thast, landing behind him. This guy certainly was quick, it seemed that this man trained his heart out being so powerful. Elrick... Remember your training. Elrick attempted another attack, charging foward, attempting to kick the man in the thigh, then uppercutting him. The thigh was a good place to start, he thought. He'd been kicked in the thigh before, and it hurt like a bitch. This was his first real fight, he had to think smart.

Given the fact that Thast has lowered his power level, and decided to take it easy on the guy, he never expected a significant strike to land. His opponent had actually managed to land a decently powerful kick on his thigh. There would even be a slight bruise. Many would be intimidated by an attack like that, but Dain had trained him better. Following the well placed kick would be an uppercut, one Thast would narrowly dodge by jumping back a few feet. “I’m impressed, for someone with a power level like yours, your quite skilled. That just means I’ll have to try a bit harder!” an aura would appear around Thast's body, flashing white, black, and then blue. For his next attack he would draw on the power of both Yin and Yang... The earthling's left arm would be surrounded by a sphere of white radiant ki, while his right would be engulfed by a dark, dreadful black energy. He would then lunge at Elrick, attempting to deliver a series of punches to the man's chest. He would then disappear form sight, and reappear behind his opponent yet again, attempting to finish the combination with a swift kick to the man's side. If this kept going, Thast would break a sweat soon. "Holding up alright? heh."

Elrick's kick had connected. Yes! He had, in the figurative sense, scored the first point in this game. His opponent dodged his uppercut, but did it matter? Thast complimented Elrick. Claiming to be impressed. Elrick blinked in response. A guy this strong had managed to be impressed by his measly attack? Alright, maybe not so measly. A small bruise was visible on the man's thigh. And he was holding back. A lot. Still, Elrick smiled. The man suddenly ignited his flashing aura. This technique required ki! Elrick's body tensed, bracing himself for what's to come. Thast's arms became enveloped with ki, one holy white, one night black. He charged forward, Elrick crouched slightly. Thast threw a combination of blows at Elrick, who ducked, blocked, twisted, did anything that seemed appropriate to avoid getting hit. Thast suddenly disappeared, reappearing behind him, attempting a side kick. Elrick jumped as high as he could, avoiding the blow. Elrick fell back down to the earth, grinning. "Nice try." Elrick stretched his arms foward, with outstretched palms. A large purple ball of ki formed in his hands. "Ha!" The ball of ki shot out at Thast, forming into a beam of purple light. Whether it hit or miss, he would charge towards Thast, wherever he may be, delivering a punch to the face.

His attacks had managed to miss Elrick yet again, he was really off his game today. Usually, attacks like the ones he was throwing would be more than enough to take down lesser martial artists. This man was clearly no lesser martial artist, he had proved that much between his dodging capabilities and striking power. Feeling as though he was in a loosing battle, Thast would begin to power up, if five percent of his power wasn't enough, perhaps fifteen would do. After this slight increase in strength, The earthling would soon become under attack by an abnormally powerful ball of ki. He had never seen anything quite like it, as a beam was shot out of it towards him. Thast would start by rearing back his left arm to his right shoulder, and when the beam would come into range, he would backhand the attack. This would cause it to bounce off his hand and then into the sky. Next would be a bit more tricky. Elrick would dart at him with a punch straight to the face, it would be a skilled strike, but nothing he wasn't capable of stopping. Thast would catch the new comer's fist in mid-air as it was swung towards him. "Your much stronger than I was. Now however, things are different. I won't show you may true strength yet. This is but a sample, roughly twenty percent of my full strength..."He would let go of Elrick's hand and jump back several meters to create some distance. Thast would then bring both his hands to his sight side and begin a familiar chant, "Yin, Yang!" Power would begin to build between his fingers as a grey orb would appear. "Kamehameha!" He would thrust his two cupped hands forward, causing a beam of grey explosive energy to fire off towards Elrick. Thast had either intended to end the fight here, or damage the man just enough to show off a bit of strength. BATTLE TRACKER SUMMARY

Elrick's ki beam was swatted away as if it was a mere fly. He only glanced for a millisecond as his attack flew through the air. He charged forward, attempting to land another punch on his opponent; Thast caught Elrick's fist. He heard Thast say something about using roughly twenty percent of his power. Crap... Now he'd get his ass kicked... Still, he had accomplished what he set out to do. Force Thast to power up. He was only at twenty percent of his power, even so, Elrick was now grossly outstripped in power. Thast put his hands to his side and begin chanting something. Yin Yang...? Ki built up between his palms. Grey coloured ki. Certainly not common. Ending the chant with one final word, a single motion caused the orb of ki to be fired at Elrick in the form of a beam. It moved so quickly, Elrick only had the time to select one course of action, clash with the attack. Elrick thrust his arm forward, releasing a large beam of flaming hot purple ki, attempting to counter Thast, ensuring that neither of the two got away unscathed. An enormous explosion would occur, knocking Elrick back into a tree that was miraculously still standing. However, once Elrick made impact with its trunk, it snapped into two. Elrick got up groggily, dazed by the previous impact. He vigorously shook his head, after which he tossed a couple ki blasts at Thast.

After his signature attack had been fired, it would quickly be opposed by a beam of Elrick's own creation. The grey and purple energies would collide together, this would cause yet another massive boom that would destroying much of the environment around the two fighters. Elrick had fought valiantly, Thast didn't even think a person with Elrick's level of power could hope to stop a beam that. Despite his doubts, the two beams would dissipate against each other. Thast would manage to stand his ground, only being pushed back a few feet thanks to his higher power level. Still, he felt the back end of his own attack. "That was really something. Ya know, I bet you would make an excellent tournament fighter. But the thing is, I fight in much greater battles than tournaments." The two energy blasts would be shot his way, and crash into the earthling's body. It appeared as if he was entirely unaffected due to a grey aura that surrounded his body. Yang, the dark spirit that lived inside Thast mind would whisper in his ear, "Heh heh heh, this looks fun. Your not going to loose to this guy are you?" Gritting his teeth, Thast would enter a more offensive fighting stance. He would bring his two hands to his right side yet again, preparing yet another beam. "Yang. Give me your power!" This time, a black aura would form around Thast as a black orb of ki would begin to form between his two cupped hands. This time around, he would draw on only Yang's power, it may be even more destructive than before! "Yang Kamehameha!" Following this shout would be an explosive black beam of ki aimed directly at Elrick. Thast wouldn't be pulling too many punches this time! BATTLE TRACKER SUMMARY

His two ki blasts were negated due to a greyish coloured aura around Thast. He would then cup his hands together. Oh no... Not this again... Another orb of ki had materialized within his cupped hands, only this time, it was night black in colour, violently pulsing around in Thast's hands. It was larger than the last beam that was shot at Elrick. Thast let the beam fly loose, the beam engulfing everything in its path, and Elrick whole. A large explosion would follow, destroying more of the innocent forest. When the smoke cleared, there was nothing in sight; other than Elrick, who had somehow managed to stay on his feet, however, he was bleeding all over his now shattered body. He held his left arm in his right hand, panting heavily. His jacket had dissipated, his undershirt was in tatters and he was clinging on to his consciousness. Okay, now was probably a good place to stop. He had been outclassed with a single technique. "Y-You're good..." With those final words, he valiantly continued. He stretched his arms forward, purple ki building in his open palms. He poured as much ki as possible into the attack before releasing the attack. He barely had the strength to move. That was it. He had lost. Elrick hadn't expected to emerge the victor, but Damn... Thast got him good.

The fallout of the dark energy blast had finally dissipated, leaving a trail of destruction in it's wake. Various trees and plant life had been thrown a sunder by the technique. The two fighters now stood in an open field, from what use to be a thriving forest. The silhouette of Elrick would cross Thast's eyes in the distance, he had managed to survive the devastating attack greatest attack. If the earthling hadn't said it enough in the past, he was even more impressed! Though he was still only using a fraction of his strength, the Yin Yang Kamehameha was still his greatest technique. Even the strongest of fighters had had a hard time dealing with it in the past. Now Thast had a promise to keep. "You have done very well. Now for a look my full power." The earthling's power level would quickly shoot up, he was now just as strong as he was earlier. Thast decided to give a few words of advice before attempting to end this. "Elrick, your strong, and you learn fast. In this world there will be all sorts of people. Good, Evil, morally gray. It's up to you which side you fight for, choose wisely."As he finished his monologue, a familiar purple beam attack would come his direction. "Your technique is pretty good. I think I'd like to try it..." The earthling would then raise his right hand. All the purple energy would fly towards his arm, and he would stop the beam dead in it's tracks. Slightly pulling back his arm, and then thrusting forward, Elrick's own energy attack would be push back at him in an attempt to end their battle. (OOC: Sorry, your very right about it being 41. Elrick felt an enormous power level coming from Thast. He stated that he was now resting at the height of his power. Elrick had known that Thast did not require going full power, but he did say he would show his full strength at some point in this altercation. Seeing Thast catch the beam Elrick had shot at him, caused Elrick's eyes to grew wide. Thast threw it right back at Elrick. Elrick barely had the strength to move, with sheer determination moving him to attempt to dodge the attack. To do so, he simply threw himself out of the way, landing on the floor of the earth, his very own attack narrowly missing. He felt pain as he attempted to do something as simple as standing. Once he was upright, he painfully said, "Okay..... L-Lemme try...... That again...." In each interval, he panted, coughing blood when he was finished his dialogue. He put his hands forward once more. Pouring as much ki as he wished into his palms, a familiar first purple ki orb taking shape in them. This.... Must work.... That is, if he managed to make his beam connect. He gave the loudest battle cry he could muster, releasing the energy once more towards his opponent. If this hit.... Maybe he could even the score, if even a tiny bit.

Now at full power Thast felt as though nothing could stop him. This would be the perfect time to relax a bit, and give himself a chance to recuperate. Elrick seemed to almost be out of strength anyway. Thast would walk over to a smaller tree that had managed to survive the battle and lean his back against it. He would then close his eyes and concentrate on restoring his strength for a moment. Though his opponent was lower in power level, he had still managed to wind Thast, and that was a decent accomplishment in itself. His relaxation would be cut short as he felt yet another power building up. It was another purple beam, and it was heading right for him. Thast would quickly bolt several meters into the air allowing the attack to pass under him and destroy the tree he had been reclining on. Perhaps it would be time for him to try out a new trick. The earthling would raise his left arm, directing it towards Elrick. Thast would simply say "Sleep" as his opponent would soon come under a psychic attack. Thanks to the teachings of Yin, he had managed to pick up the technique pretty quickly. Would it be enough? BATTLE TRACKER SUMMARY

Thast evaded Elrick's attack by flying upwards. Elrick's eyes followed Thast as he bolted upwards. He would then witness the man point his arm at him. He crossed his arms, assuming that he would soon be hit by an incoming ki beam. Instead of a beam of energy crashing down at Elrick, it seemed as if an invisible force was attacking him. His head started to feel as if it had been set aflame. He put both hands to his head, applying pressure to it. At thus rate, he was going to lose all consciousness and the match. He began vigorously shaking his head, agitation written across his face. Gritting his blood stained teeth, he released the loudest battle cry he could muster from his mouth. "AAAAAAAARGH!" With the pain and dizziness in his head eliminated, he lunged towards Thast, putting his ability to fly to good use. He threw several punches at Thast, attempting to knock him down, towards the earth's floor. Whether he succeeded or not, he would lunge at Thast again, delivering a final kick to the stomach, attempting to knock the wind out of him. Elrick's battle was almost over. He could barely find the strength to do what he wanted to do. Despite this, he continued, displaying his stubbornness and determination.

The fighting would continue, but this time on a psychological battlefield. The first of his psychic attacks had managed to effect his fellow human, this much was true, but he would stilll manage to shake off it's negative effects with a simple battle cry. Though he was disappointed, Thast had kind of expected it. If the man had lasted this long, an attack like that would only manage to hold him off for so long. He needed to land a decisive blow, but this would be easier said than done. Before he could plan out his next move however, his opponent would react with a vicious combination that while powerful, failed to connect with Thast's body. Luckily, the man seemed to be running out of stamina slowly, if things continued to go the way they were, the fight would be over. After the first round of punches would come a kick straight to the earthling's stomach, it was solid, and even caused Thast to spit a bit. Things were starting to get really interesting. "You managed to brush aside my attack. Promising indeed... Let's try something else..." Thast would then Jump at Elrick attempting to land a flying knee to his chin, this was one of his more precise attacks after all. Secondly, he would raise his right hand to the air and try to come down on the newcomer's shoulder with a standard Karate-style Chop! BATTLE TRACKER SUMMARY

Thast evaded Elrick's furious combination of fists cleanly. His final kick had made contact with the man's stomach at least. That would leave a mark. Elrick hadn't even noticed Thast's compliment as he was lost in his own thoughts. Retreating, he gritted his teeth, tasting a rather large amount of blood as he did so. Thast had already ruined his only jacket and tore Elrick's shirt up. What else would he do? That question was answered almost immediately as Thast charged at him, unleashing a furious knee kick targeted at Elrick's chin. Elrick threw his head back to narrowly avoid the attack. But did this matter anymore? With every motion he made he felt pain. At this rate he was going to pass out. Thast's open palm shot into the air, falling down into the space where Elrick's shoulder was formerly located. He struck air as a now barely conscious Elrick had put the rest of his energy into darting away from Thast. Elrick could no longer find the strength, determination nor desire to continue the fight. He abruptly ended his flight, landing roughly on his feet. Shakily, he looked towards Thast. It was as if he was mentally raising a white flag, signifying his surrender. With that, he fell backwards, falling into the dirt. His eyes were still open, just barely. He was out of breath, covered in blood, injured and dirty. "Okay, I-I think..... you've...... won...." His voice was barely above a whisper; he doubted that Thast heard him. Whether Thast heard or not, Elrick still lost. It seemed like nothing could change that.

Even in his opponent's last moments, the man had managed to dodge two of Thast's most deadly strikes. It was quite the feat of speed indeed. What would do him in was simple loss of stamina from battling an opponent with a power level capable of destroying worlds. Thast would pant before powering down to his base levels, the battle took a lot out of him, and even more from Elrick. That was the moment when he would notices the man's jacket had been ripped by all the fighting. That was unfortunate, it would only be fair if he helped his new friend out. Opening his wallet, That would leave a wad of 100 zeni ontop of the man's chest. When he came to, he would be able to afford another jacket. At least Thast had hoped he would...
With a crack of his knuckles and a quick stretch, Thast would blast off into the air above the destroyed forest. The two of them had really gone all out, and Thast wouldn't have had it any other way. "Yin, you think we'll see that guy again? He's got a good chance, and a bright future ahead." The spirit of light would softly smile, "Perhaps Thast, Perhaps..."
