Papaya Island was host to quite the plethora of tournaments, the arena brawl matches proving to make up quite the revenue for the host dojos. Typically in arenas such as this, the dojo that hosted typically pushed ahead their own warriors as a method of testing their prowess against warriors from across Earth. The same rang true for this tournament, a small time tournament ran by the Black Light Company, a small business that made its' revenue from running martial arts tournaments all day long, everyday, providing a constant center for people to challenge other fighters, as well as spectators to watch and enjoy the brawls and tests of strength. Attracting martial artists from across Earth, the Black Light tournaments were one of the biggest martial arts tournaments in the quadrant.
And today, it had attracted the attention of one Majin Khoshai. Normally, the nine year old wouldn't be interested in something like this, given that he would much rather run around in some field for hours, or buy everything in a candy store and eat that for breakfast. But that was just it. He didn't have money, and apparently money got you...pretty much everything. And if he didn't have money, how could he go to that really fun amusement park? The one that he couldn't afford! Or...how could he get that really tool action figure set? There was so many things that he could get! But, only if he won the tournament of course.
His eyes flitting back and forth nervously between some of the more massive martial artists, most notably the animal-type Earthlings, who simply looked threatening, even if their combat ability didn't back it up. He was scared by the big burly looks of the people around him, but like Big Brother Tora said, tournaments like this were basically just like the fighting games that he and Tora usually did on Tiger Island, but just in a different place. And Khoshai liked those, so maybe this would be fun!
"ON ONE SIDE WE HAVE A MYSTERIOUS PINK SKINNED FIGHTER FROM THE FAR EAST! MAJIN KHOSHAI!" The announcer bellowed
That was him! With a skip in his step, the child Majin bounded down to the hallway before flipping up to the platform, grinning from ear to ear as the crowd cheered his name. He even waved a bit as people admired how adorable he looked.
"AND ON THE OTHER SIDE WE HAVE OUR NEWEST COMBATANT! PLEASE WELCOME OUR NEWEST MARTIAL ARTIST, THAST ROWENS! GIVE HIM A BLACK LIGHT WELCOME!"
His opponent.
The crowd roared as the cage door opened to usher Thast in, for apparently a "Black Light welcome", was akin to screaming as loud as you possibly can. His grin sustained, Khoshai turned to face his opponent. As he approached, he even offered the Earthling Warrior a small wave.
Hi, Mister! Thast is a pretty funny name, but you seem really strong! My name's Majin Khoshai, and lookie, I'm strong too!" Khoshai spat out rapid fire, the excitement of the moment getting to the small child as the words practically shot out of his mouth rapid fire. However, as he spread his arms out, his body was suddenly enveloped in a ferocious pink, sparkling aura. It was near dazzling in it's mystical looking, majestic magenta color. And with such a burst of energy came a dramatic exponential increase in strength, with Khoshai's own power level bursting past what was believed to be the normal human limitations, throwing out powerful gusts of wind into the crowd. However, the Majin's Ki Signature was rather...peculiar. It was constantly ebbing and shifting, like a running current. While Khoshai's power level was much higher than that of the average human, his strange Ki was working against him in this instance, capping his energy at merely a small percentage of his true power. The child didn't even seem to notice, however. Giggling, Khoshai pointed to Thast, already enjoying himself.

There Thast stood, backstage of the Papaya Island martial arts tournament looking around at the various ferocious combatants. In Thast's opinion, it was a miracle he even managed to get through the preliminaries. He would take a moment to remind himself why he was even there if he couldn't properly control his new abilities. The voice of his bosses commands would flow through his head yet again: "I don't care if you can control those powers yet or not! We need that prize money to keep this operation going! Do you want the Red Ribbon Army take take over the earth!" after that all Thast could recall was the General's constant nagging. Given the situation however, the young earthling did not have much of a choice, he did in fact need to obtain a cut of the prize money in order to help keep the rebellion's coffer's full. Unfortunately for him, he did in fact agree to do whatever the General would need him to do, even if that mean fighting a terrifying foe... His contemplation would soon be broken by the call of the announcer, and from behind a curtain Thast would walk into the ring. Strangely enough, before him appeared to be a small pink boy who apparently had a lot of spirit. Thast would mutter to himself "They can't be serious, a kid?" but then he would realize the child's name... "Majin," Thast had heard about them, quite powerful fighters in their own right. Thast would approach the center of the ring as he would hear Khoshai mention him being a strong warrior, In a bit of a chuckle Thast would remark "Maybe I'm strong, I haven't quite figured that out yet, but I won't go easy on you just because your a child..." Thast would leap toward the boy with the strength a seasoned fighter, just as he had begun to summon various energy constructs. It was too late to turn back at that point. Thast would have to back up his actions with a show of force. In a couple motions, He would attempt to land a round house kick to the Majin boy's left side, and attempt follow up with right hook directed at the boy's rib cage. BATTLE TRACKERSUMMARY

Thast was rather quick, that much was true. But Khoshai, thanks to Tora's intense training, was quicker. Even without the child noticing, he had improved drastically from the man's intense regime. His reflexes were higher, and he found himself capable of defending against even the strongest of men and women in a different manner than simply allowing himself to get pummeled, and then reforming. Thus, when Thast closed in with a rather savage roundhouse kick to his left side, Khoshai raised his left arm, causing the kick to slam into the forearm, Thast's leg ricocheting off his arm as a result of the boy's hardening of his arm moments before the contact.
However, as much as he defended the first blow, the second one caught him off guard, causing Thast's fist to plow into his ribcage, the boy's body flattening out like rubber under pressure. Thast would swiftly discover that instead of his fist slamming into bone and muscle, the sensation of contact would be more akin to slamming his fist into putty, with the boy's elastic body simply moving in accordance with the motions, before popping back into place, with Khoshai exhibiting little to no register of pain.
"You're fast! But watch this!" The Majin child challenged before his tail would flash across Thast's vision, the fuchsia colored appendage moving to tighten itself around Thast's neck, hoisting him aloft, the tail extended so that it would be effectively strangling the human while holding him suspended, and thus at Khoshai's mercy. Regardless of whether the tail successfully constrained Thast or not, Khoshai would press onwards with his attack, bounding forward with both fists clenched, before simply pounding away at the human, his fists rocking back and forth continuously as he pelted the man with blows.Post Count: 2 | Thast RowensBATTLE TRACKER

As Thast managed to land his first kick, he would take note of the boy’s reflexes while stopping it. Being able to do something like that took serious training. As his second blow landed a smirk of sheer satisfaction could be seen on his face. Despite his lack of control he still managed to land a hit. Perhaps this caused Thast to become a bit overconfident, because he never saw his opponent’s counterattack coming. In a few moments the Majin’s wound would heal as if Thast had never attacked in the first place, and then a tail made of a putty-like substance would seemingly come out of no where! “A tail? He’s got a ta-“ thast’s complaint would be cut short as he would soon be constricted by the neck. Grasping at the tail trying to take a breath, he would then be hit with a construct of pure energy, he would shout in pain if he had the voice for it. However the most devastating part was yet to come. The child would begin rapidly punching Thast in the gut, and yet another construct would ram into him. Things for Thast were not looking good, even members of the crowed could be heard saying “ohhh,” in pity. As he dangled there, the pink boy would let out yet another round of attacks. Before he could deliver them however, time would slow down inside Thast’s mind. He would hear the whispers of the spirits whose powers dwelled within him. “We have decided to grant you the use of our abilities for but a moment, do not fail us,” Yin would say. As the punch came his way, Thast would spin around escaping the boy’s grasp and the attack’s range. Now that he was free, it would be time for a counterattack of his own. Thast would begin charging his energy, a gray aura would burst around him, and adrenaline would pump through his veins. Raising both hands to face level, Thast would take the traditional stance of a boxer as energy would begin to swell from within. The earthlings left hand would become surrounded by an aura of white hot light, and his right hand would be shrouded in an aura of darkness. Looking at himself in awe, Thast would realize the immense power the two spirits had been holding out on sharing, “all this energy, and you two couldn’t share even a little? Never mind...”
With his new powers channeled, he would fly toward the Majin to release his Ki enhanced blows. “Let’s see if ya can bounce back from this kid!” He would fire off a left hook with his light-wrapped hand, followed by a straight right with his hand of darkness, and would attempt to end the combination with a double palm strike against the boy’s chest. If this didn’t work, Thast had little else that could hurt the guy. BATTLE TRACKERSUMMARY

"Oooooooh" Majin Khoshai marveled as Thast spun and broke from his grip, the boy's tail retreating in favor of wrapping around his waist. He allowed Thast to step back a few paces and regroup, the child all the while pointing and laughing, floating in air as he fell backwards, as if seeing the human dance about was the funniest thing he had ever seen.
"Hahahahahahaha! You look funny!" Khoshai cackled out, his high pitched, glee filled laughs filling the air as tears came to his eyes. Sure, it was a funny little movement, but it wasn't that funny. However, the child's distraction served as a boon of sorts to the martial artist, for Thast was quickly able to close the gap and launch his barrage of blows upon the unsuspecting Majin. Khoshai never even saw it coming. As Thast drew close, he unleashed a savage series of blows upon the boy's frame, battering him ten times over with a flurry of punches. His body shifted and changed with each blow's impact force, his body deforming as he was struck, so that once Thast finally disengaged, Khoshai's body was a steaming lump of misshapen flesh. That just so happened to pop back into place mere seconds after the human stopped attacking, with the boy cheering all the while, as if he had won some grand prize.
"That tickled!" Khoshai giggled, much to the shock of the crowd. Merely moments later, it was thought that the tides had turned, and in a spur of the moment increase in strength, Thast had managed to maul the boy into submission. But the child had simply regenerated himself back into prime condition, even to the point of playfully mocking the attack.
"My turn, my turn!" He exclaimed before bounding on the offensive. His aura buffeted out before him, a fearsome magenta color surrounding him. The energy was intense, to say the least. His eyes began to glow bright pink, as he unleashed intense psychic force upon his opponent. In a matter of moments, Thast would find himself surrounded in a purple cloud like aura, psychic energy rushing to wrap around him and paralyze him, keeping the Human Warrior from moving as the psychic cloud paralyzed him, keeping him in stasis.
The child let out a glee-filled giggle before sending his right foot crashing into the earth. The immense strength behind his Ki empowered foot caused the ground to cave in underneath his boot, his foot stretching as it traveled underground. A moment later, the foot would appear again, bursting out of the ground before Thast, the elongated boot moving to smash directly into the Earthling's jaw.

Just as Thast he thought he manage to best Khoshia's defenses with his combo attack, he would be deterred in a very similar way to how he was earlier. The young boy appeared to be formless like some kind of rubber or putty, this would allow him to easily defend against any sort of melee attack Thast would make, luckily Thast was not the kind of guy to make the same mistake twice. He would hear the voice of the dark one, Yang, in his ear: "Watch out! The bastard is going to counter attack!" Thast would soon hear the taunting chuckles of the Majin. In that moment, the young boy appeared to be something much darker than his small frame, and innocent disposition let on. This kid was a true fighting machine, perhaps a killing machine. One thing was for certain however, the crowd was eating this up, they loved the kid. Maybe that would mean more prize money at stake...Probably not. Before Thast could even begin a muster another plan to stop this pink ball of energy, he would hear the little guy say it was his turn. Within a few moments he would see the pink psychic energy all around him, but he would feel the massive power swell yet again. As the pink aura drew closer, Thast's own aura began to expand, and within the blink of an eye Thast would appear in a completely different corner of the ring. He had managed to dodge the Majin's psychic attack, but as he did, he would see the boy slam his foot into the ground. "This is how the Majin fight, the savages. Get into the air before you die." the dark voice would command. Heeding this warning, Thast would bolt into the air right as the majin's foot smashed through the arena floor causing a decent amount of damage to the arena itself. Watching this gave Thast an idea... He didn't really need to beat Khoshai in a one on one battle to the death, all he had to do was win the match, and there are plenty of loopholes in tournaments. On such loophole Thast knew about was ring outs. If he could destroy the ring, and if the Majin would fall to the ground, he might be considered the victor. Armed with this new devious plan Thast would begin drawing upon his ki once more, and ask the spirits "Yin, Yang, do either of your have any sort of ranged attacks? I need something now!" the calm voice of Yin would respond: "We have one we could share..." Similarly to before, Thast's Ki would be transferred into his hands. An orb of white, radiant ki would surround the earthling's left hand, and a similar orb of black necrotic ki would surround his right hand. Then, Thast would speak with the voices of Yin and Yang audibly echoing him as if possessed by a demon: "This is our ultimate technique!" The young man would bring his hands together and press them outward toward the gleeful Majin boy. Two beams of energy, one of pure black, and another of pure white would be fired forth. The beams would begin to collide against each other, until they appeared as one single wave of spiraling black and white energy heading straight for the boy and the arena he stood on. The light given off by the blast was as dazzling as it was destructive, the mix between dark and light was near mesmerizing as it tore across the arena floor. Khoshai's eyes widened as he registered the bright light as it bathed the grand arena, and a moment later, it struck him dead center, tearing a hole straight through his abdomen, the blast breaking through to the other end, leaving the child with a gaping hole through his stomach. His eyes rolling in the back of his head, the Majin boy fell backwards on his back, smoke rising from the wound point. The crowd gasped, many of them screaming as they realized the severity of what happened.
Had Thast killed a child?
But, like clockwork, the child leapt back to his feet, the gaping hole still remaining where his stomach should be. He looked down at the gaping hole, and his eyes widened in surprise, as he poked the burned, charred skin around it.
"Whoa! That was cool! You had dark energy, and you had light energy...and then you put it together, and then it went all like 'whoosh' and then it hit me, and went all like 'boom'! And then I played dead, and played a prank on you!" Khoshai said before sticking his tongue out, wagging it about for a few second while also pulling down on the skin below his eye. A taunt of sorts.
"Nyah Nyah Nyah Nyah Nyah!" Khoshai taunted playfully, before dissolving into giggles. He truly was a special one. Despite literally having a hole blasted straight through him, which simply regenerated back to prime form, he still kept coming back, practically bouncing for more and giggling all the while. This was all a game to him, and one that he was having a lot of fun with.
Building Ki up in the throat, white, ethereal like apparitions began to spill forth from Khoshai's lips, forming little clumps of ghostly flesh, if one could even call it that, before solidifying into mini ghost-like clones of Khoshai!
The ghosts immediately erupted in the same cackling laughter as the child himself as he jumped around, introducing himself to each of his Kamikaze Ghosts, who greeted him in turn, without touching him, of course.
"Hi I'm Khoshai! Nice to meet you!" He greeted to each one, before he looked back to Thast
"Now! Get him!" Khoshai said, before three of the collection of eight total Kamikaze clones shot off to hone in our their target, all of them seeking to make contact with Thast in some way, either by grabbing onto him, or by Thast trying to attack them, only to be greeted with a sweet surprise. Either one worked. However, once they did make contact with him, the ghosts would explode in a grand show of deadly fireworks.

Thast watched as the mass of energy crashed into his opponent's body, and caused a gaping hole to appear in the young boy's stomach. As he watched the Majin warrior collapse, he would see what the crowd could not, the kid's power level. Despite Thast's attempt to push the guy out of the ring, the boy decided to take the damage head on rather then allow himself to be moved, and soften the blow. This could only mean one thing, in Thast's mind, earthier the Majin was crazy or he has been holding back this whole time... The Majin's body would reform as usual, but at least he seemed a little shaken up, for about five seconds. The boy would then go on about his interest in Thast's abilities, the Ki of Yin and Yang. Truth be told, the earthling had never actually told anyone outside his organization about the powers which he wielded. "Well, I wish I could say those powers were my own Khoshai." Thast would give a sigh, "Even with the abilities I possess though, you seem to be fairing very well. Me, not so much." After the boy began to gloat of his successes, the voice of the dark one would appear yet again in his mind: "A pity, the little guy is strong. Far to strong for use in our current state. I would offer you some more of my power, but your body would die trying to contain it all." Soon Thast would notice the boy creating a small army of ghosts. This was bad. He knew that those creatures would have more then enough power to grind him into dust. Thast would ascend into the air yet again, hoping to gain a tactical advantage of sorts. As he did this, the first two ghosts would rush him. The first would come from the front, and the other would charge from the back. "Kill two birds with one stone," Thast would smirk. Then, in a flash of energy, Thast would disappear and reappear on the ground floor below. This would cause the two ghosts to collide into each other, and cause a beautiful display of fireworks for the audience. There was one thing Thast had forgotten however, there was one ghost left. The creature would surprise him from behind, giving him a bear hug before exploding into flames. After the dust of the explosion had settled, the earthling would demand "I know your much more powerful then you let on! How about you give me a taste of your true strength!" BATTLE TRACKERSUMMARY

A taste of his true strength?Majin Khoshai had to admit, he was conflicted. On one hand, he knew he was holding back, and he was doing it for several reasons. The first one being that it was no fun going all out on people! The child didn't necessarily realize that he was in a category of power that few could ever match. His raw strength eclipsed most people in the galaxy, with only few who could match, or even exceed. And he was only nine years old. Thus, when he came to tournaments such as these, he found that he could defeat the vast majority of the competition in the first punch...and where was the fun in that? So Kho's body began limiting itself, so that the child could then focus on making the fights as long as possible, so that he could really enjoy the "game". Then, there was his master's orders. In the last Black Light Tournament that Khoshai had participated in, he had fought Nullian, a powerful Super Saiyan Warrior, and Khoshai's own master and caretaker, Tora no Seishin, the Tiger of Earth, and one of Earth's most powerful and well known heroes. In such a bout, the man had lectured Khoshai continuously on the hazardous use of his power, and how he couldn't simply flaunt it, for such reckless abandon could end up killing someone. Afraid to disappoint the person he looked up to the most, Khoshai had done what the man had said, furthering his decision to not fight people at earnest. However....he really wanted to sometimes. So maybe....if the person asked, it wouldn't be so bad, right? Plus, Thast was pretty strong...so he wouldn't die, right? Of course not! If he was afraid he would die, why ask for the boy to unleash his power anyway. Nodding, Khoshai's aura buffeted around him once more, yet the intensity was near ten times greater. In an instant, he went from the small four thousand that he had used as his previous cap, all the way past three hundred thousand, the sudden release of power sending shockwaves crashing into the reinforced cage that held them confined within the arena. Was this the extent of Khoshai's power? Or merely a greater fraction? "Don't die, okay? Big Brother Tora would get really mad if I really hurt someone! Ghosts, goooooooooooooo!" Khoshai exclaimed before pointing to his opponent, ordering the remainder of the ghosts to charge their opponent. In an instant, Khoshai sprung back on the offensive, directing his right hand outwards, oustretching his pointer and middle fingers out, with his thumb meeting in the middle. From that point of contact, a compact red energy sphere began to form, the blood red sphere crackling with volatile electricity as it charged by the fingertips. A moment later, the discharged energy sphere released quite the ambient red light as it shot on its' way to Thast, electricity sparking out from the energy sphere, hitting the light fixtures above, on it's path of endless destruction. Thast would watch the boy contemplating the use of his true power. For a moment, Thast would actually wonder if he had been wrong. Perhaps the boy was going all out, and was just crazy after all. Before he could open his mouth to ask again however, he would begin to feel a shift in power. The dark voice would whisper in Thast's ear yet again, "You idiot, you asked for this. Well, enjoy the view I suppose." Thast would girt his teeth, and begin to sense the massive power being radiated from the boy's body. It was more energy than the mere earthling had ever felt before, and he knew there was no stopping it. Any hope Thast had of winning had been lost, but at that moment there was another look on his face. A smile, one of intense delight would be on Thast's face, he would be strangely excited at getting the opportunity to take a head on attack from a guy this strong. "Hahahahah! Come on! I wanna feel your power!" even though the two ghost's began to approach, Thast would begin running directly toward Khoshai. As the ghost were finally upon him, Thast would slide under their spectral bodies and continue to charge directly at the boy as he was charging his attack. Thast would lunge with his fist reeled back, but it was far too late. The Majin's orb had fired, and impacted. Thast would be wreathed with a pain he had never felt before, one that would shake even the spirits that inhabited him. The ball's force would first lift Thast into the air, then Thast and the orb would crash through the ceiling of the arena. Outside the arena, the earthling and the orb would travel into the stratosphere. Onlookers would hear a distant 'boom' as a massive explosion could be seen for miles on end. Thast would fall unconscious from the explosion, luckily the earthling had dodged the Majin's ghosts previously, otherwise he may have truly died. around two minutes later, Thast would fall from the stratosphere all the way back into the arena where he had crashed through the ceiling earlier. Whoops, did I go too far?
Khoshai covered his mouth in shock as he watched his energy blast smash into his foe with devastating force, the giant blood red energy sphere distorting slightly before shooting off into the evening sky with great propulsion, smashing past the the barriers and past the roof. The great explosion that followed bathed the sky a light red, casting the glow over the entire arena, before smoke replaced the light. And from the center of the smoke, came a human body, that crashed down upon the ground below, back into the arena.
That set off another series of cries of alarm.
Khoshai backed up nervously, away from the prone body. He looked like he was about ready to cry. Did he mess up? Did he use too much power, and actually kill the human? Maybe he should've used less power. Man, he was gonna get in so much trouble. Tora was gonna be really mad...and so would the tournament officials...and...and...
"He's alive!" The announcer yelled out as a medic checked his pulse and responded back positive. Thast was alive. Burned and injured, yes, but alive. The revelation brought excitement back into the boy, who was petrified that he was gonna get punished by his boss. Khoshai quickly recovered, smiling with relief over Thast's continued survival, and happiness that he had won. The rest of the crowd seemed to bounce back too, cheering over the victory of the Majin. However, as Thast was carried off to the medical center, Khoshai hurried over to the paramedics who responded to the scene.
"Will he be okay?" The child asked, concern in his voice as he looked down at Thast.
"Yeah." One responded gruffly, looking at Khoshai, albeit with a kind smile on his face,"We deal with cases like this all the time. He'll be fine." To which the boy nodded, before the team carted Thast off. Khoshai looked back at the arena, and smiled one last time before heading off to the sidelines. The tournament was far from over!
