Tournaments were fun. Well no, fighting was fun, tournaments were boring. Too much paperwork, too much sitting and waiting, not enough fighting. But, for Majin Ala it had been the best way to get out there and meet some strong warriors to play with. Clover had told her all about them. The handsome fighter from Earth came to this planet regular to claim his fortune in prize money. He'd met the mischievous Majin in a bar of all places. Him, drinking away his sorrows, and her, stuffing her face on the buffet. A match made in heaven if Ala did say so herself. But now, now was time to get serious. The final bout of the tournament was fast approaching, and Ala sat patiently in the fighter's lounge. She couldn't help but swish her tail in excitement, staring at the intercom waiting it to call her name. She'd breezed through her division of the tournament bracket so far. No contest, no challenge, boring! Just like fighting that Dain Super Saiyan. All power, no skill. Despite her childish demeanor, Majin Ala was incredibly savvy in battle. And she hungered for a more suitable opponent than what this tournament had to offer. Hopefully the finals would be fun at least. She didn't know what she'd even do with the money she won. Its not like she had a bank account. Give it to Clover or Mr. Tora maybe, Earthlings liked money. Finally the loudspeakers hummed with static, before the tell tale voice of Shroomy blared through them. "Good afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen! Would our two lovely finalists please report to the tournament arena, our final match of the Space Vegas Annual is about to begin!"The mushroom alien's voice boomed through the speakers, and Majin Ala was already on her feet about out the door. She arrived at the designated location mere moments later. Tournament staff quickly checking her over to assess that she was medically fit to fight. The red tape they went through to avoid lawsuits was phenomenal truly. But they'd also learned quickly that the Majin woman lacked blood, or bones, and injury just seemed to be regenerated in moments. So this was mostly to appease their own legal department. After she was cleared Ala took to the stage, rolling her shoulders and cracking her neck despite the aforementioned lack of bones. On the opposite end stood her opponent, who'd taken a bit longer to give the medical green light. She didn't recognize him, but she didn't ever recognize anyone so that was ok. "Alright folks, we've got an exciting match lined up today. Two undefeated warriors in the Space Vegas Annual, the upstart rookie and the seasoned veteran. Everything is on the line tonight. So get ready, for the Spectacle of Cccooommmmbbbaaaattt!"Ala liked Shroomy, he was energetic and silly. The big shot himself appeared on a hoverpad, huge monitor behind him displaying a head shot of the Majin for the crowds to see. "In the Red Corner, a newcomer on the Space Vegas Strip. An alien beauty from a faraway world with an appetite for more than just battle, she claims she's devoured her foes and destroyed their planets. The Curvaceous Conqueror herself, let's get a big round of applause for Majin Ala!"The cheers mostly came from the men in the audience. The fight was a regular battle of the sexes by all accounts. Drooling slack jawed drunks chanted the Majins name as the whooped and hollered from the nosebleed seats. "Ala! Ala! Ala!" The monitor quickly shifted to her opponent, a dashing Saiyan with a sword bigger than her was. "And in the Blue Corner, a warrior who's already made a name for himself at my own Shroomy's Invitational. A Saiyan who's saved his home world and now travels the stars in search of fame and glory. The handsome hero, the suave savior, the sexy swordsman himself, let's give it up for Legume!"The crowd erupted in raucous cheering, Legume already having a popular fandom with both the ladies of Space Vegas, and the many Saiyans that were regular attendants of the tournaments there. Majin Ala simply crossed her arms and hmphed to herself, silently jealous she didn't get as much of a peanut gallery. As was typical, Shroomy's introductions involved a lot of flowery descriptors and the thinnest nugget of truth. But they always managed to work up the crowds. The man knew his audience. "Alright folks, you know the rules. We want a clean fight. So let's shake hands, touch gloves, and the battle begins at the sound of the gong!"

For someone like Legume, tournaments and martial arts bouts were one of the few sources of income available - after all, in the eyes of this society, he was pretty much an undocumented alien, who suddenly popped into existence one day and doesn't show up in the records of any government. How could such a person try to find a job or anything in that field?
Not that Legume exactly minded this, however. The strength and skills he acquired during his service in the Federation Armed Forces were always his most valuable asset anyway, this was pretty much a natural evolution of that. And, hey, he was decisively above average in this brave new fantasy world, too? A radical change from the Galaxy of the future he still remembers, where he, though considered talented one way or another, was nothing extraordinary.
Here? He could finally not only receive praise from entire crowds, but try to make a real change in society, and for the better? How?.. Well, he'll get back to you on the specifics. For now, he has one more tournament to win. And for one more time, his travels brought him back to Space Vegas, one of the few places in this entire Galaxy which even slightly resembled his home. Apparently, besides Shroomy's Invitational, there were a couple more official martial arts events held on the planet, organized by the same organization and announced by the same mushroom man.
The preliminaries and elimination rounds were not much of a challenge. The finals, however... they always brought surprises. And something in Legume's mind anticipated a surprise today as well.
With his ten foot long greatsword hanging on his back, the Saiyan stepped into the ring right after his opponent, his appearance immediately met with mutters, cheers and squeals. In the short time he has been in this Galaxy, he has already managed to acquire himself a fanbase, huh?.. The opponent on the other side was very clearly a Majin - the bubbly appearance, the pink skin and the eyes all gave it away instantly. Shroomy introduced her as Majin Ala, too, clearing out all second thoughts on that.
As far as Legume could tell, Majins were almost completely nonexistent, but still a noticeable presence in the Galaxy of this time - which makes sense. After all, it hasn't been too long since Majin Buu's last appearance, right? That's when the Majin community of his era marks the beginning of their history, if he recalled correctly. The Majin community was... small, by Galactic standards, but still numbered in a few millions, and their reluctance to mix with other species and unique traditions all made them the odd duck of the multi-species community of the Galactic Federation. They were fairly integrated in the Galactic Core, where Legume had lived most of his life, but Majin representatives in the Congress of the Federation consistently reported on anti-Majin xenophobia in the less developed regions of the Galactic Rim.
Okay, enough with the politics of a country he's never coming back to.
Legume walked up to his soon-to-be opponent, cracking a smile and extending a hand to the Majin woman, then spoke:
"Please. Just no absorption."
The time when one of his Majin schoolmates absorbed him when he was eleven years old was probably the most disgusting three hours of his life.
With the formalities dealt with, Legume stepped back and ran back to his side of the ring, taking out his massive greatsword, Vanity, from its hilt, then, as soon as the gong roared to signal the beginning of the match, a second slam followed right after - Legume's weapon smacking the ground and releasing a powerful shockwave rolling across the battlefield, in sync with the Saiyan's golden-haired transformation.
Just Super Saiyan 1, however. He had no idea what this Ala was capable of and opted to not waste energy while trying to find out. Not that the cheering crowd could tell the difference.

Majin Ala gave the Saiyan a puzzled look as he mentioned absorptions. "Did you really think I was gonna do that?" She asked innocently, wondering if her reputation proceeded her. Nonetheless the mighty Majin clenched her fists, tensing her muscles as she braced for the gong to strike. When it did she was more than ready, having psyched herself up for battle. Immediately the Majin braced herself for the incoming shockwave as it ripped past her. She clenched her teeth as dents and depressions were impacted along her voluptuous figure from the force. "Ow..." She said simply through clenched teeth, black eyes locked on her opponent as he transformed. "A Super Saiyan? Good, that means you're strong. Strong means I don't have to hold back!" With that the Majin let out a deafening scream, not dissimilar to a Vice Shout. Though this was no dimensional tearing burst of sonic energy, it could leave lingering injuries by those caught up in the sonic wave. "HHHHHHYYYYAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!" Ala roared as her pink aura shifted and raged around her. Her unknown, unfathomable power unleashed in boundless quantities. Not that anyone save for another Majin could properly sense it. Their strange ki felt like a lie, shifting as chaotically as all things Majin did. The transformation took moments, and though there was no physical change to Ala herself, her aura had become an entirely different beast. Pink ki deepened into a harsh crimson, whereas now pink lightning surged and crackled around her form. "Hmph. Now we can play." She informed her foe, brushing a lock of hair out of her eyes. The Majin raised a hand high over her head, aura flaring as she charged a mass amount of ki at her palm. Ala unleashed her Assault Rain, a shower of ki blasts that arced high into the air before raining down across the arena in a near unavoidable shower of energy bullets. As her bombardment shelled the arena Ala couldn't help but let out a laugh giggle. She was ever amused by many things, most of all her own destructive power. As her Assault Rain began winding down though something peculiar happened. While her foe was distracted with the barrage of energy blasts a large piece of the Majin slid off her backside. It hit the ground like a ton of bricks, literally in this case, leaving cracks in the tiles beneath it. The blob of Majin substance quickly began to swell and shift, forming legs and arms and soon fingers and toes. With a loud rubber POP it sprung into full detail, forming even clothes, jewelry, and hair from its rubbery composition. Majin Ala was now joined by an identical looking doppelganger. The two cracked their necks in unison, despite not having any bones. "Majin Ka." The clone said simply. "And Majin Ala." The original added. The two flared their auras simultaneously, unleashing a powerful wave of energy that could injury an unprepared opponent. As it finished Majin Ka lashed out, her long tail extended out unnaturally far to whip across the arena at Legume. Though she aimed to hit him, she was merely the diversion. As the duplicate launched her attack Ala rushed in, charging her signature Vanishing Beam in her right palm. "Eat this!" She cried out, unleashing the blast at her opponent. The pink beam of energy was difficult to avoid, bending through the air with precision that caught most foes off guard. Worse, when it struck true the seamless blend of Majin magic and their chaotic ki could leave opponent's virtually immobilized.

Sometimes guess and gut feelings go a long way. Legume expected this final opponent to be a real treat - and look at that, they turned out to be a real treat after all. When Majin Ala powered up, with a deafening scream and a gigantic aura surging from her body, the Saiyan was forced to close his eyes and cover his ears at the display - and once the transformation was finalized, though no notable physical changes to Ala had occurred and Legume couldn't even sense all the bottomless power within her, he could tell that the power difference between them was crushing. Overwhelming.
Exciting.
Legume's brief smirk at Ala's showcase of power vanished, however, when the Majin woman suddenly thrusted her hand to the sky and released a powerful barrage of energy blasts, aiming to carpet bomb the entire battlefield. Yeah, no, he's not going to be dodging that kind of attack with Time Skip or any other measure, the only option was to cross his arms, let the attacks hit and take all of them head on.
Once the barrage concluded and the arena where they were fighting had been left a smouldering ruin, Legume raised his eyes and witnessed in shock that there was not one Ala before him, but two. Majin Ka and Majin Ala, as they introduced themselves. Right... Majin fission. They're able to spawn multiple copies of themselves all connected by the same consciousness, exactly what Ala was pulling on him right now. In his time, the Majins often used this ability to make their numbers larger than they actually are during protest actions and demonstrations, and keeping track of Majin citizens for voting and tax collection purposes, among others, was always a serious pain.
Back to the fight.
In response to Ala and Ka both flaring up their powerful auras, rolling across the battlefield, Legume swung his greatsword forward, releasing a torrent of air forward to split the aura burst and leave himself unaffected. Immediately after, the two Majins charged forward, Ka sending her tail as a whip to which the Saiyan responded by suddenly leaping into the air and avoiding the appendage, just in time to witness a powerful pink beam of energy head straight towards him.
Legume's body acted on instinct. A crystalline bubble of time surrounded him as everything around him - both of the Majins, the incoming energy beam, the cheering crowds and Shroomy watching the duel - froze completely, and during the brief window of time which Time Skip lended to him, the Saiyan charged forward, speeding past the Vanishing Beam and sending his left fist forward towards Ala's neck before leaping back.
Stopping with a slide across the blasted arena, Legume took an easier breath, winding back his weapon and speaking:
"I should have brought earplugs to this fight."
The attack soon came, in the form of Legume swinging across the air and releasing a torrent of air towards his Majin opponent.

When the Saiyan swordsman swung out his blade, the two mighty Majins were more than ready. "HHHYYAAA!" They roared out in unison, their auras flaring as they redirected the waves of energy back at their foe. "Return to Sender!" They cried out in unison, giggling as they watched the sword beams hurtling back at Legume. When time itself froze briefly, the Majins could still sense Legume, but couldn't will their body to move fast enough in response. Ala took the blow direct to the next, and it collapsed her windpipe, leaving a fist shaped indent in her throat. When the Saiyan again reappeared in real time, she whirled around to face him. Ala rubbed her throat as it popped simply back into place as if nothing had happened. "THAT... HURT!" She screamed at her opponent at the top of her lungs, the declaration quickly devolving into a second Vice Scream that ripped across the arena. The Saiyan was fast, faster than anyone she'd fought, and it unnerved the Majin. Ala and Ki both flared their auras, relaxing their stance. "NO HOLDING BACK!" They cried out in unison, releasing their condensed states as they began to swell and balloon up. The two inflating to enormous size, their bodies venting steam from holes along their arms as they equalized the pressure inside of themselves. The ground buckled under their weight, no longer were the two passively counteracting their own density with telekinesis. Once they finished Majin Ala and Ka had grown to some fifty feet tall apiece, towering above Legume by an order of magnitude. "I'm the biggest Majin there is!" The two bellowed in unison, slamming their tails on the ground as their already immense power level bounded upwards even further. Something was off though, as the two giantesses looked at each other. "More Majins?" One asked the other. "More Majins!" Came the excited reply. The two tensed their muscles, and small bloblettes of pink goop fell off their backsides. Small being relative, the blobs each weighed over a hundred pounds. They quickly began forming into a dozen smaller Majin. These new ones did not look entirely like Ala did. They sported shorter cut, wilder pink hair and had a younger look and build than Ala. Their outfit was somewhat similar, sporting the same poofy white pants and gold and black belt, but they wore a rather revealing black jacket, orange gloves, and a long purple cape. The squadron of miniature Majins rolled their arms and cracked their knuckles as they stared down their foe. They grinned ear to ear, ready for a fight. "Majin Zams!" The two larger Majin declared proudly, standing before their smaller fissions. "Ma-Jin ZAAM!" The Zams cried out eagerly, their own pink auras flaring. They lacked the strength or intellect of the larger fissions, but they made up for it slightly with their numbers. Their display finished, Ala and Ka began their offense once more, now operating at full might. The two lunged forth at the Saiyan, Ka launched a sweep kick at their foe, leg arcing across the ground while Ala lashed out again with her massive tail. This time it simply sought to crush Legume beneath it kill a falling redwood tree. The arena was further damaged by even simple footsteps from the two, much less their destructive attacks. The thing with Ala though was, her wild and chaotic double team fighting style was far from mindless. Her most aggressive attacks were merely feigns, never fully meant to actually hit her targets. Ala's tail and Ka's kick were mere diversions, meant to distract their opponents from the real blows. Playing off each other's initiation, Ala and Ka sent out Mystic Attacks, stretching their arms and legs to unleash unpredictable elastic blows when the other had Legume distracted by her assault. Aiming to strike at blind spots, flanks, or simply catch him when his guard was preoccupied with their doppelganger. It was a fighting style only a Majin could so readily employ. It sought to overwhelm even the fastest, most reactive defenses with weight of numbers and wild chaotic strikes that came from every direction. All while Majin Ala herself proved too durable and too elusive to wear down. Ala finished off her assault with another Vanishing Beam, charging the pink blast in one hand as she hurled it at her foe. "This one's even bigger now!" She taunted to her foe, pooling more energy into the blast now that she was fighting at full strength. Ala fired the debilitating beam, and it surged across the arena towards Legume. It didn't have far to go, between Ala's size and the limited arena, she barely had to aim. Lucky for the audience, Shroomy spared no expense on stadium shielding. He learned that lesson the hard way long ago.

The Time Skip strike was more of a warning shot rather than a full force blow - not that it was going to be an effective technique against someone so malleable and rubbery as a Majin - but it made Ala pissed to no end regardless. Within moments, all hell ended up unleashed right before the Saiyan's face. First, the two Majins blew the torrent of air whipped up by Vanity straight back at Legume, forcing him to cross his arms and block the incoming returning strike before it tore him aside. Next, the two Majins suddenly dramatically grew in size, rising to be over fifty feet tall, and began spawning numerous child copies of themselves on the ground, all calling themselves Majin Zam and setting their sights on the Super Saiyan.
Within moments, Legume found himself no longer fighting just two Majins, but an entire army of them.
"Oh my nonexistant Gods."
Dozens of stretchy arm attacks immediately shot towards him in unison, one after the other to try to catch Legume off-guard and overpower his defensive instincts. The Saiyan used Time Skip wherever he could to avoid the slowest of the blows, but for most of time, he was forced to block or simply endure the incoming attacks.
Then, through the web of stretchy blows, the real hits came. Ala's tail whip was, once again, not all that difficult to dodge, while Ka's sweep kick presented a much more serious problem. Lacking any further options at dealing with the swift incoming attack, Legume activated his Time Skip, reappearing above the incoming attack and sending his elbow downward to smack the foot into the ground.
Just in time to witness an even more powerful Vanishing Beam heading straight his way. Alright, we've dealt with this once before. And this time, he's going to give more than a warning shot.
Activating his Time Skip, Legume suddenly charged forward, passing by the Vanishing Beam and making his way to Ala in the brief window of frozen time which the technique gave, then immediately released a series of powerful blows at the Majin's gigantic body before finally leaping back once the time of the technique ended.
Cocking back his greatsword yet again while flying away from the gigantic Majin woman, Legume swung it across the air once more to whip up an another torrent of air, dust, rubble and any of her minions which might have gotten picked up in the whirlwind.

"Huh?" Ala said in mild confusion, bemused by the Saiyan's comment. "Gods are real, my dad ate some." She was of course referring to Majin Buu's titular rampage across Other World some million years ago. "Yeah, but Kais are friends, not food. Buu said that too." Majin Ka added her two cents, this nugget coming from the Majin woman's most formative years, before Buu had returned to primordial slumber and Ala had set off to wander the very stars in search of purpose and happiness. These bits of juvenile insight were quickly lost as the match continued, and Legume managed to duck and weave past the bulk of the Majin legion's combined rain of blows. Ala had dealt with agile opponent's before. Sly the Panda was fast, almost as fast as Legume. She'd pummeled him into the dirt, she'd do the same here too! "You're fast." The two giants admitted in unison as they exchanged blows with the warrior. This time however, they moved even as Legume paused time in a display of Unfathomable Speed. His attacks repeatedly struck nothing, save for any unfortunate Zams that happened to be caught in the way. When the Saiyan came close and unleashed his blows on Ala's enormous body she shifted and contorted, rapidly dodging each and every strike with her Majin Body Manipulation and the speed she'd demonstrated. A wry grin formed on the Majin's mouth, plump lips pursed to reveal gleaming white teeth and pointed fangs. "But I'm FASTER!" She roared, unleashing her own rain of blows back in exchange. Mystic Attacks that launched out in a rapid fire barrage of elastic punches from the perceived opening her previous attacks had given Legume. The warrior's tornado didn't so much as flinch the giant Majins. They simply stood their ground against it, though the Zams were flung about like tops and had to pick themselves up. Heads still spinning, the Majin Zams were not to be taken lightly, they rushed Legume from behind as he was distracted by Majin Ala's onslaught. "MA-JIN ZAM!" They cried out in fiery union, ki charging at their fists as they swarmed the warrior to pummel him with their miniature Majin might. It looked similar to a little league rugby team dog piling the ball. There was still technically a Saiyan somewhere under the writhing mass of pink limbs and purple capes. "ZAMZAMZAMZAMZAMZAMZAMZAM!" They Zam squad cried out at the top of their lungs, notably less intelligent and far more direct than their larger counterparts. They were effectively cannon fodder, battle hungry drones born of the wild and combative parts of her personality. Void of independent thought, they shared an instinctive kind of hivemind with Majin Ala. There was little need for direct communication. Even she didn't understand their name only spoken language, she didn't need to. The thoughts and emotions psychically shared between them told each other more than enough. Meanwhile, Majin Ka was not to be outdone. As the Zams dispersed to regroup following their assault, Majin Ka moved into position at the Saiyan's flank. She flared her aura and let out another Vice Scream, sending a sonic blast of energy hurtling Legume's Way. Ala stuck out her blue tongue, shifting away with her Unfathomable Speed as Ka appeared overhead and brought down her balled fists in a powerful overhead smash. Her follow through send quakes through the arena, leaving a huge crater in the tiled floor. "Did I get him?" She wondered aloud, as her doppelganger appeared on the opposite side of the arena, already charging a new vanishing team in her hand. When Legume did show himself, Majin Ala was ready, extending out her elastic tail like a massive whip and slamming it down towards the Saiyan to by her precious moments to charge her signature attack. Ala blew the Saiyan a kiss with her free hand. "You fight really well. Much better than the other Saiyan a fought lately. His name was Dain, and wasn't nearly as fast as you." With that said the massive Majin launched another of her Vanishing Beams, sending the deadly energy wave hurtling across the arena towards her foe. Deadly pink ki infused with magic intent to debilitate and slow her fearsome foe. As she finished the attack Ala landed back on the ground with a weight crash, already damaged tiles splintering and buckling beneath her feet.

No, he did not somehow forget to activate it, he remembered the moment when he tensed his muscles and released his aura in just a way to dip into the Time Skip technique. The crystalline time bubble surrounding him from all sides indicated just that, too. And Ala dodged all of his attacks.
That shouldn't be physically possible.
Legume was so baffled in the moments after his Time Skip barrage that he even forgot that he was in the middle of a battle, paying for the slip-up dearly when Ala's counter-barrage began. Dozens of Zams struck him one after the other from all sides, the Saiyan barely found the time to cross his arms, much less dodge, as he got slapped around from one place to another with unbelievable speed.
Legume did, however, regain his senses when the time came for the two giant Majins to step in to the fray - the loud, piercing scream coming from his back and ringing in the Saiyan's ears must have helped him to realize the predicament he was in - and began responding appropriately. Faced with Ka's gigantic downwards slam, Legume activated his Time Skip to get out of the way and send a counter-blow at the giant Majin's cheek in the brief window of time the technique gave him. His response to Ala's follow-up tail smack was much of the same - get out of the way of the frozen attack and send a counter-attack, even if what had happened mere seconds earlier indicated that it might just be a waste of energy.
After his counter attack to the tail whip, Legume landed on the ground with a long slide, taking a second to catch his breath and analyze what he has learned so far with a clearer mind. The only hypothesis he came up with so far was that Ala was simply so powerful and so fast that she was faster than stopped time. This, combined with the fact that her Majin powers gave so much manpower that the Saiyan basically had to face an entire army instead of a mere opponent, meant that this was definitely going to be a losing battle.
Oh.
Ala is not even finished.
A powerful pink beam was heading straight Legume's way and it was already too close for him to activate Time Skip in time and hope to get the hell out of dodge. Lacking any other options, the Saiyan cracked a smirk, clutched the handle of his greatsword more tightly and charged straight into the incoming energy beam, striking it with his weapon.
An enormous clash took place, outshining everything in the entire arena, but soon enough, pushing through the avalanche of pain heading his way, Legume's weapon cleaved through the Vanishing Beam, splitting it into two halves, each of which heading their separate ways. Not only that, but the Saiyan also suddenly spun his weapon around, deflecting one half of the Vanishing Beam to send it straight back at Ala.
That was...
...exhausting, but really exciting. And since he has a bit more time before the next pain train arrives, why not address what the Majin had spoken to him earlier, but he could not address in the heated moment?
"I'd be more surprised if you said I was inferior to Dain. Fought him as well. Beat him as well." Legume spoke, holding up his weapon in a crouching defensive stance. Wonder what technique that bounty hunter is going to bring the next time they inevitably fight, huh? "Before we move on to the finale, though... please, enlighten me, how in the world are you faster than time?"

Majin Ala had gotten overconfident with this round of attacks, and Legume in turn had punished her for it. In her violent outburst of strength she'd been so focused on delivering as heavy a beating as she could on her outmatched opponent, she'd let down her guard. The Saiyan swordsman's counterattack had come instantly, while time was still ground to a crawl. Ala's tail had been severed at the halfway point, flung across the arena and impacting the shield dome wall like five tons of rubber. Meanwhile Ka's hands had been cut off at the wrist, crashing to the ground like heavy boulders. The two giant Majins stared at their injuries, while their legion of Zams grew deathly silent. "Grrrrrrrr...." The two giantesses growled in irritation. They could regenerate injury, and their tolerance for pain was vast, but they still didn't like getting hurt. They merely looked at their severed limbs with a grimace on their face. No blood seeped from the wounds, no bone protruded or torn flesh hung in rags. Just a clean cut through a strange pink substance. "That hurt." The two responded in unison, as their disembodied tissue broke down into formless pink masses. Ala's tail and Ka's fists clunk back across the ground to reform with their respective bodies. It was a somewhat unsettling display, watching a Majin's body writhe and shift as it reformed anew. Moments later Majin Ala and Ka were reformed, "HHHRRRAAAAH!" They roared, their auras flaring with immense unknown, unfathomable power as they simply unmade their wounds and pulled forth more ki to replenish their stamina. The two landed at either side of the Saiyan, rolling their shoulders and arching their backs as they soothed their regenerated forms. The two curvaceous conquerors looked down at their little Saiyan opponent, as their Majin Zams grouped defensively around their feet. "There. That's better." Ala replied with a teasing smile. "Nope. You're stronger than Dain. I can sense your power level is higher in your base form. He transforms more than you do though. Unless you're holding back on me." She said with a shrug. Could Majin Ala tell Legume had high ascended states he'd yet to wield against her, or was she simply guessing? That was anyone's guess, her mischievous mind was best not thought on too carefully. "But." Ka added, slamming her tail excitedly against the ground. "You fight with more skill. Fast, unpredictable. Not just attack attack avoid defend. You aren't predictable, nope. That makes you fun."With that said the two Majins blew the Saiyan another kiss. "That's why I'll tell you how I'm faster than time." Ala said boastfully. "And because you're handsome." Ka added as well, giving Legume a playful wink. "It's simple silly. Majin Magic." The two said in unison, and the Zams nodded their heads and agreed. "You're strong. I'm stronger. You're fast. I'm faster. You think you stop time? I unstop it. Takes a lot of focus though. Magic powerful, but I'm very good at it." The two finished their boast, leaping back to opposite ends of the arena to give their opponent some time to react. "Now, we keep playing." She informed Legume, as the Majin Zams took to the air. The miniature Majins giggled and laughed as they charged pink energy at their palms. "ZAM ZAM ZAM!" They chanted, as they unleashed a continuous energy volley of ki bullets at Legume. It kicked up quite the cloud of dust and debris, peppering his position in a shower of pink bolts. Wasting no time, Ala and Ka shouted again, mouths opened wide as they fired another Vice Scream in concert with their Majin Zam continuous ki volley. The two blasts of sonic energy hurled towards the dust cloud, detonating and scattering it like a rush of wind to the relief of the crowds. The two giant Majins then dashed in unison, closing the distance on their foe. "Get ready!" They bellowed, ready to pummel Legume into dust. Majin Ka went high, where Ala went low. This being relative, as their opponent was some one tenth or so of their height. Ka lead with a flurry of punches, whereas Ala responded with lightning fast kicks. The two feigning attacks off of each other in deadly synchronization. They'd alternate, their most telegraphed blows bluffs to allow their duplicate to unleash more more punishing mystic attacks from behind. Ala and Ka unleashing elastic Mystic Attacks when given the chance, arms and legs elongating outwards to strike Legume in uncanny, unpredictable ways that were nearly impossible to avoid. All the while the Zams taunted him with childish laughter as they hovered above. As their onslaught finished Majin Ala placed her massive hand right before Legume's charming face. "Bye." She said with sudden sinister intent to her tone. Pink ki pooled in a condensed ball at her palm, and the massive Majin unleashed a point blank Vanishing Beam on her foe. She figured Legume would probably dodge most of it with his Time Skip, but at this range, his odds were low. Ala fired the powerful beam of energy a fraction of a second later, her angle pointing it into the arena floor. It burrowed a large crater even into dense katchin floors. Ala and Ka just grinned as pink light filled the arena and a deafening explosion rocked the entire stadium complex. "Boom." Ka said with a giggle, hoping Legume was struck grievously by the blast.

Hurrah, at least the two Majins were not faster than time now. With several well-placed strikes, Legume cleaved away the alien's limbs and send both of her copies reeling back from the shock. If he had placed such injuries on anyone else, it would be... severely problematic, but the Saiyan had grown well accustomed to the Majins not only being able to stretch and copy their bodies any way they might want, but also regenerate any physical damage placed upon them.
And here the two of them go, employing a rather gross looking procedure to regenerate the lost limbs and land back on the ground, one on one side of Legume and the other on the other. At these levels of power, there were only two ways to defeat a Majin - dish out so much damage that their regeneration simply becomes overwhelmed and their stamina can no longer take it, or toss them into a place which is able to dish out that constant damage for you, say, a star. Neither one of the two was really feasible right now. Ala was significantly more powerful than the Super Saiyan right now, so the former was not an option, while the latter would result in death and that's not really what a tournament is about.
So...
I'm sure I'll find a solution somewhere on the way.
Thankfully, Ala responded well to Legume's offer to talk a few things out before they begin the next phase of the fight and started to talk, giving the Saiyan a minute of reprieve, which he used to catch his breath, rest his muscles a little bit and recover his reserves. After pointing out that Legume and Dain were not even comparable - despite Dain's greater transformations, Legume fought with considerably more skill and technique - Ala suddenly emphasized her interest in whether the Saiyan was holding back on her. Cracking a smirk, the Saiyan offered a reply:
"Would you be fine if I told you the answer was both yes and no? I could, indeed, push myself a lot farther than I do now, perhaps even up to your level - but you can already tell that it's not the way I fight. I'd rather not waste the energy in power level competitions which I could be using to take you down."
Besides, who is he to presume that this is Ala's maximum? It would be a terrifying thought, to witness a person with raw power such great that even his Super Saiyan 2 form pales in comparison to it, but it's far from impossible to imagine. After that brief exchange, the gigantic Majins blew Legume a kiss and, stating that they find him both challenging and handsome, chose to explain just how they were faster than his Time Skip.
Legume blinked and then shivered at the thought, lightly shaking his head.
Hard pass.
Then he took a second glance at the feminine Majin.
...Light pass. Depends on how drunk I am.
What Ala proceeded to explain was just as terrifying, however. The power difference between the two of them is so great that her Majin Magic is able to outright cancel the effects of his Time Skip. He stops time - she unstops it. That... is going to be problematic. And with that final thought, the fight restarted yet again, with Ala's usual overwhelming barrage of stretch attacks and minion rushes - Legume responded to the barrage the only way he had available, dodge everything which he had the chance to dodge and tank everything else, hoping that you don't rack up too much damage and don't get knocked out. As time passed, however, the latter became increasingly prominent - exhaustion at constant Time Skip spam was, once again, starting to set in, it was far from the most energy efficient technique.
When the two giant Majins stepped in after their minions, Legume turned around, swiping across the air with his weapon to blow away the last remaining Mystic Attacks which still targeted him, then exclaimed:
"If you want to un-pause time, you first need to know when it's being paused!"
That was the guess, really.
The barrage of punches and kicks soon came. The trick was... that activating Time Skip requires a very specific muscular twitch and aura burst, which can be replicated without actually activating the technique. As such, Legume sped across the gap between the two giant Majins, dodging incoming blows wherever he could - every time whenever the opportunity to deal a counter-attack came up, be it with a punch or kick closing in or the giant's body showing a gap in its defenses, the Saiyan would randomly pick between Time-Skipping and cleaving through the limb during the pause, or suddenly lunging forward and slashing across the attack with his heavy weapon without the need of a skip. Despite that, in both of those times, he'd make the usual muscle-tense and aura burst.
Hopefully, Ala would get thrown off by the change in tactics - the point was to try to make her double-guess on whether the action she is seeing is a Time Skip or an average attack, whether she needs to "un-pause" time, and thus give Legume the time window needed to actually deal damage.
The clash between two giant Majins and a Saiyan flying in between them continued for some time, until suddenly, Legume saw a hand shoved straight at himself and a massive blast of energy come out from the palm.
Oh.
Kaboom.
A massive glassed trail rolled across the battlefield, up until the barrier separating the ring from the spectators, taking a cone-like form - in its center, however, a small, extremely sharp path of completely untouched floor tiles could be seem.
And at its tip stood a golden-haired Saiyan, his massive weapon standing on its tip in front of him, having served as a hasty shield during the beam strike and wide enough to have covered him from injury almost entirely.
Legume let out a snicker, lowering his weapon and staring at Ala with his piercing blue eyes, then raised his free left hand and twitched his fingers inwards, sending a taunt to the Majin to try again, and harder this time.

Majin Ala furrowed her brow and slammed her tail irritably against the ground upon hearing Legume's words. "So you are holding back? No fun, it's no fun if I don't see your full strength." She lamented, lips pouting at the Saiyan's revelation. "I wanna see you do the Super Saiyan thing one day, the strong one. The one with the long hair. Then, I really wanna fight. It'll be twice as fun when I smash you!" Majin Ala knew what Super Saiyan 3 was called, at least in theory. But in the heat of battle and with her flare of irritation it slipped her Majin mind. Not that it mattered much, Legume would figure it out. Ka folded her arms crossed, scowling at the man. "If you're gonna hold back, then I am too. It's only fair. No more using my arms." She offered, notably declining to power down to something appropriately of Super Saiyan levels. The two massive Majins continued their onslaught, giving Legume little room to pause. Speaking of pause, the Majin once more used her Unfathomable Speed to move at a pace that nullified the Saiyan's Time Skip technique. Ala reached out to Legume, invading his thoughts with her telepathy as she avoided and dodged each of his incoming counter attacks as the two warriors clashed through altered time. 'I know when you're gonna skip time. I'm in your head. Well, I am now. But I mean, I can tell when you're gonna do it. I can tell by your ki, feel the way it shifts. Not like Majin ki, not chaotic and shifting. Predictable, measured, regular ki. See?' She demonstrated with her unparalleled defense. Not one blow or strike managed to harm the giant Majin woman or her duplicate. When they were finished, Ala stood unscathed. When the Saiyan swordsman taunted the Majin woman, it angered Ala to no end. She didn't like being taunted, especially when she was winning. Neither did her Zams, which mirrored her emotions. "Zaaaaammmm..." They growled, clenching their fists and gritting their teeth. "ZAM!" Came another cry, steam erupting from their bodies like a train whistle as they quite literally let off steam. The Zams raised their palms, charging more ki blasts at their palms as they fumed with anger. "MA-JIN-ZAM!" The tiny Majin fighters cried out in unison, bringing their hands together and firing off their own miniature versions of the Vanishing Beam. What they lacked in individual firepower they made up for in numbers. It was quite the spectacle watching a dozen thin beams of pink ki converge on Legume's aura at once. Ala and Ka meanwhile kept to their promise. The duo crossed their arms in a huff, unleashing nothing but an endless barrage of synchronized kicks at their opponent. "This is for holding back." They goaded in unison, legs kicking outwards so fast the crowd could never hope to keep track. All the while the women's upper halves remained deathly still. In between the barrage they extended out their prehensile tails, lashing out at Legume with mystic attacks as their huge tails thrashed and slammed against him. "You can't dodge everything." The two taunted in return, scarcely giving the warrior an inch of breathing room throughout their assault. "And you really can't dodge this!" Ala declared, giving her Saiyan foe a deathly serious look. The mighty Majin opened her mouth wide, plump lips revealing sharp fangs, pearly white teeth, and her saliva drenched blue tongue. More importantly though, a sphere of ki quickly formed in the Majin's mouth as she condensed her ki into another point blank blast. Without hesitation Ala braced herself then fired a narrow beam of energy tip[ed in an electrified sphere from her mouth. Once more, at this range there was little hope of avoiding it fully. And the crowds would be dazzled by another destructive light show as Ala's Ill Flash leveled more and more of the arena. Her latest energy blast carving another sizable trench in the katchin floors and making the protective energy dome shudder under the force of her blows.

In retrospect, perhaps it was highly optimistic to imagine that a counter which Legume had thought up on the fly for Ala's abilities would not get countered just as swiftly by the Majin herself. Through none other than a psychic connection, too - which made the Saiyan's random decisions on whether to skip or not to skip completely meaningless, as Ala was able to read all the information she needed and react accordingly.
Which, with that in mind, makes Legume's decision to further taunt Ala all the more baffling. He was already losing the fact, and decidedly so, so why try to hasten his defeat like that? Well...
Isn't getting an opponent ten times stronger than you so invested in defeating you that they rage, scream and charge at you kind of a victory anyway? In a twisted way, perhaps. It was certainly an achievement.
"Well, if you're reading my thoughts... all I have to do is just not think."
Or sever the telepathic connection. Legume's psychic abilities were fairly... basic, however. He did not know if he would even be able to sever the connection in time for the battle picking up again. Plus, this was just a lot funnier.
Acting on instinct, the Saiyan leapt straight into the fray, crossing his arms at the immediate onslaught of Mystic Attacks and Vanishing Beams, deflecting the few beams to the ground with his weapon whenever he could, then began zipping across the battlefield, getting out of the way of the barrages upon barrages of stretching kicks from the giant Majins heading his way - employing his Time Skip whenever his instincts deemed it appropriate, but generally only relying on his natural speed to avoid getting hit.
Until finally, Ala appeared right before him, revealing a... far from an attractive mouth cavity. Thankfully, Legume did not get to stare into it for long, as the Majin promptly released a powerful mouth blast straight at the Super Saiyan.
It was a question of milliseconds. A crystalline bubble of frozen time once again formed around the engulfed Saiyan, everything around him frozen in place. He already did not have much time before the Time Skip technique fades away, and he has to worry about Ala undoing the time pause as well. Cloaked in a thick layer of aura to protect himself from the negative, immobilizing effects of the energy beam, Legume suddenly emerged from the vast Ill Flash - and promptly, before the Time Skip faded, sent his heavy greatsword straight towards the Majin's eye.
The technique faded away shortly after, but Legume remained on the offensive, flying back to gain some distance from the Majin giant and swinging across the air to send a yet another torrent of air at his opponent.

The last think Ala saw was Legume's blade as it plunged deep into her eye. She let out a scream, howling in pain as the massive blade carved deep into her head and buried itself to the hilt. "AAAGGGHHHHH!" The giant Majin leapt back as the pain shot through her, the weapon slid out just as easily as it had burrowed in. Ala gritted her teeth, hand clenched over the gaping wound on her face as she began to regenerate. No blood was spilled, and pink tissue began to quickly reform into a suitably black and red eye to replace the missing one. In only a few moments the macabre display was done, and Majin Ala's face was unblemished and restored in full. She snorted steam from her nostrils, before stomping one foot hard enough on the arena floor to send tremors throughout the stadium. "You're a Saiyan, your kind never do think!" The Majin shot back in response to Legume's earlier quip. Like clockwork the Majin Zams acted out in relation for this grievous offense. They launched themselves at the swordsman like vengeful soldiers, barraging him with dozens of punches and kicks. Small but fast, and seemingly tireless. The Majin Zam legion was always ready to fight, mostly because it was Majin Ala... and she was almost always ready to fight. As the mini Majins assaulted their foe, Ala and Ka clenched their fists tight, their auras flaring violently with unbridled power. The entire planet began to quake, skies darkening overhead and thunderclaps felt in the distance. It was unknown, unfathomable power unleashed in full, if only for a moment. The two giant Majins' aura surged like wildfire, sending waves of oppressive energy at the Saiyan. "ENOUGH. I WILL FINISH THIS!" The two cried out with unnerving clarity of purpose. The duo of mighty Majins launched themselves at Legume in a frenzy of kicks, pelting the hapless Saiyan back and forth like a hackysack between them with their elastic kicks. One last double tail slam sent him hurtling towards the ground, and the Majins prepared their final assault. A bright pink orb of ki formed at their pointer finger, and they quickly raised it to their mouth as if giving it a taste before firing an erratic beam of magic and ki at their opponent. Ala sorely wanted to turn her opponent into a pastry and eat him, but she knew well enough her manners. And her agreement to her new friends about eating people. So, failing that, she'd settle for trying to feast on the Saiyan's energy instead. Majin Ala and her ilk snickered and sneered at one another, eager to see the aftermath of their assault.

Oh god, maybe all of that annoying Ala was a massive mistake - because what followed was the Majin completely losing it, her power level growing absolutely humongous, and the entire army which she had spawned throughout the fight all piling up on poor defenseless Legume. The Majin Zams all overpowered any meager attempts at Time Skip he might have tried to activate to rescue himself from the onslaught, simply with sheer firepower and wholesale destruction. This was followed by the two giant Majins pummeling the battered and beaten Super Saiyan with thousands upon thousands of kicks.
Oh, and just to put the cherry on the top of the ass kicking cake, Ala fired a some sort of beam of magic and ki infused which struck Legume directly and rapidly drained him on the leftovers of his ki. The Super Saiyan transformation faded away, his hair descending to the usual pitch black color, and the Saiyan fell to the completely destroyed floor of the arena, sliding on his back for several meters before finally coming to a full stop.
Can he stand back up and at least try to prevent Shroomy from starting to make the ten count? Nope... nope... nope. His body was completely giving up on any tries to lift himself up. And, soon enough, the announcer exclaimed that Legume is down for the count and Majin Ala is the winner of the match, as well as the tournament itself.
Hey... number two in such an intense tournament ain't bad.
Legume lifted his head up and spoke towards the victorious Majin:
"Hey, the last time I got beaten to a bloody paste by a demonic woman, she took me out on a date, are you gonna give me the same treat?"
(Legume is defeated!)
