Creed’s suit would begin to compensate for the heat. He was not bluffing when he said he could survive on the surface of a star. But there were many things in this universe hotter than a star. He would dial down the temperature a bit more just to be safe. The volcano, which was the origin of this immense heat, seemed a pile of shining obsidian with a molten top. Interesting and somewhat beautiful in it’s own way. Creed always was a sucker for nature, growing up on a planet lacking in it had a way of doing that to a person. His scanners, through audio indication only given the strange distortions, reported the surface as being almost sterile. That was… Well, lets just say finding anything in the natural world which was sterile was not common. Creed never paid much attention in his studies on Geography or Biology, but he did know that microscopic organisms could be found all over vents such as these. There wasn’t even a single Tardigrade. His instincts told him this was quite the unnatural ordeal. Perhaps the heat wasn’t the only thing they had to worry about right now. As the two finally reached the nest, a fact Creed would love to rub in Boot’s face, he would turn to Azuma. “Doctor Boot wants living samples of this creature for a bonus. But I have a much better and far more lucrative idea for the both of us. I wish to obtain a sample myself, but have no desire to see Capsule Corp do the same. If you help me get a sample and destroy the rest, I will pay you triple whatever bonus the Doctor was willing to pay. So long as we deal with the creature, he will pay you the base salary as well. Once we return to an area where we can connect to the hypernet, I will show proof of the transfer of funds. If not, then fine. I will destroy them myself and take a sample. You have everything to gain and nothing to lose in this deal” Creed would hover over to the nest and examine the creatures inside. Big things had small beginnings. Releasing these eggs on Capsule Corp research areas would divert millions of Zeni for containment and eradication. It may even cause them to abandon the facilities altogether. One was bad enough, but imagine five of these creatures, on five different planets, all at the same time. It would be utter chaos. Something he would be sure to passively rub in Tiara’s smug face... “You’re not Azuma.”
It was a statement of fact. He took in the green glow of her eyes, the aura that shaped her petite form.
The android girl he'd met did not give off a ki signature. Not one that could be detected, even though his senses were battle honed, sharpened with the years of conflict. It was rare Null could not detect the energy of another being whether they were suppressing their energy or not.
His eyes narrowed at the shimmering figure, floating in the dense murk.
To make matters worse, he'd lost track of both Creed and the real Azuma. This couldn't be the real one.
"I doubt the real Azuma would be this helpful." Before the... thing... could respond, everything went completely dark. If it weren't for the subtle lime-colored hue drifting in his vision, it would be a complete darkness.
"H-Hello?" He could not keep the nervous waver out of his tone.
His fingers tapped a frantic staccato against the wristband, but it seemed to have stopped responding, nor was he picked up any signals or comms. On instinct, he lowered his power level to its bare minimum. He did not like feeling so exposed, and giving away his position right now seemed foolish.
Gears churned in his mind. If he continued swimming blind, he'd only further disorient himself, and thus, become even more lost.
He needed a distraction until his mind could concoct a viable solution for this harrowing conundrum. Perhaps the answer laid right in front of him. "How can you guide me without your suit? You loved it, remember? You spent a good five minutes doting on it when the good dentist gifted them to us. Is yours malfunctioning too?
It was a purposeful misdirection. The real Azuma hated the suit. Boot was a doctor not a dentist. And they had been working just fine up until now, so they weren't malfunctioning before now. If this Azuma answered any portion of that question wrong, Null would know without a doubt it was an impostor. Perhaps it was time to begin gearing himself up for a fight.

Azuma had been born swimming down in the sea for hours, and started occupying herself, by switching her swimming pattern. She began to perform backstrokes, while still keeping track of where creed is going, so she wouldn't get lost. She was an impressive swimmer. She didn't have any swimming lessons. Azuma had wondered if null is still alive, but then again. She would think that he would handle himself fine without creed, and azuma. The saiyan seemed that he held some potential, so she didn't have to worry about someone dying on the mission. Azuma was also wondering why Dr. Boot would be needing a sample, after hearing what creed was saying. his offer sounded interesting, but with the current situation that they're in. It's a bit risky. She was also curious as to why he would want a sample of the creature too, and would want to question what was his reasons, and his motivation. “What's your reason for wanting a sample of the creature? I'm not saying it's a bad idea, I'm just rather curious” Azuma asks. While creed would want to extract some samples out of the creatures egg. A question quickly came to mind. Without null around, what if the mother of the eggs started to come around, and no one is there to guard azuma or creed? The two would be in a heavy predicament if they would do some extraction. She isn't much for taking risks, and would like to take the logical approach. “With nulls disappearance, we're at a disadvantage in this situation. I would have to guard you, while you're getting your samples. If we both end up getting the samples, then we won't have enough time to prepare ourselves for what's to come.” Azuma states. Azuma would hope that creed would use his head, and not his money wanting phase. Azuka was willing to guard creed, while he extracts some samples. Word count: 320 Andrew C. Creed @cress Lute

The creature that looked like Azuma floated there for a long silent moment. It tilted its head at Null. And then without warning it loosed a horrifying telepathic screech. Null would feel it reverberate in his skull, as though someone had gripped his brain and tried to shake it loose from his skull. It wouldn't actually cause him harm, other than a very swift headache. Yetthe link through the link had with into mind, Null could feel its emotion. Terror. Pure terror. No no no, not my babies. No no no no!The image of Azuma faded. And then, through the murk and abyssal darkness Null would see a gargantuan shadow moving forward. It shot past him at insane speeds and a torrential burst of water. As it surged into the depths, he would just barely be able to make out its hideous and abhorrent features. It had been lurking close by, the entire time unseen and its presence masked. The fake Azuma had only an illusion, a lure meant to attract potential prey. Null had almost been a snack. The aberration didn't have a power level, in fact it had the opposite. It was a scar, a black hole from which ki seemed to be pulled toward. With the impressive speed and power of its swimming capabilities, it wasn't long before it appeared in the dull crimson glow of the underwater volcano. Azuma and Creed wouldn't detect it coming by any means, but they could see it. It was hard to miss a creature bigger than most buildings. It set its intention upon Creed, as he was closest to its young. The first thing it did was send one of its huge tentacles whipping towards him. Upon touch, Creed would have the artificial ki in his suit leeched from it, as though a conduit had been opened up. It then blasted at him with a telekinetic burst, attempting to send him drifting back far away from its young. The burst would distort his suit and its electronics, perhaps even compromise it, if he didn't effectively defend himself. Tracker ACTION SUMMARY

When creed was in the middle of extracting the eggs of the creature, that was within the cave. Azuma would a mysterious crimson glow that would begin heading towards both creed, and azuma. She wasn't sure what the glowing was. Could it have been null? If it would've been null, she would had been angry about him. Angry that his idiocy lead the pact to abandon each other, but at the same time it wasn't his fault. She wasn't sure who to blame, in all honesty. She was quick to react, and blame people. Azuma could see a creature that was the side of a building, heading towards their way. Azuma would attempt to use her telepathic powers in order to connect to creeds mind, in order to warn him that something was coming their way “You should definitely want to hurry up, if you want to live” Should creed heed her warning, he would hope to be able to pull out of their fast. If the creature were to lunge an attack at him. When the creature came close, it was beginning to target creed. Azuma would begin to kick things in gear, and attempted to protect creed from being attacked with its huge tentacles. Azuma would use her aura guard, in an attempt to be a defensive shield. Azuma would expect what's next on the menu, as the creature would do whatever it takes to protect its children. Word count: 240 Andrew C. Creed felt the creature before he saw it. He was correct in his previous speculations, they would indeed feel the water shifting if the creature got too close. Creed was almost jolted forward as he reached the halfway mark with his laser cutter. Luckily the auto stabilizers in his armor ensured he didn’t accidently cut through the egg. Rear facing cameras would give him a view of the creature behind him. Large, very large. To be expected with a nesting ground like this. It seemed to host a vast array of a tentacles along with a trio of three glowing red eyes. Ugly bitch, it’d be nice to squash it once he finished here. Maybe destroy the eggs before finishing the job. As the first tentacle came crashing down, Azuma attempted to intercept it but failed. Creed would quickly reach over to one of the egg stalks and throw it behind him, resulting in a thunderous slap. The egg stalk, along with at least four eggs were completely destroyed. That seemed to make it mad, as the second strike was much faster. His hind armor dented slightly at the impact, but withstood the majority of the force. Either way, it was an injury which was sure to hurt in the morning. He needed to get his shields powered up ASAP, but this damned precision laser took too much Ki to refocus. Creed turned to Azuma. “I’m almost finished here, attack the damned thing and get it’s attention! Once I’m done, I’ll finish it off myself” Word Count: 255 Azuma Lute @cress BATTLE INFO - Andrew C. It was gargantuan. A behemoth of the deep. A terrifying monstrosity with massive tentacles that trailed behind it, snuffing out every bit of light that touched it. Null drifted in paralyzing fear, eyes widened, his breathing stunted and haggard in the darkness of the depths. As if by some miracle, the lights in his suit blinked back to life, the HUD display re-initializing. A blinking green chevron, which he now understood to be the creature, was moving fast toward a pair of blue dots. His partners. Instinct took over as Null began to swim after the beast, shouting into his restored comms. "Dr. Boot? I think... I think we found that thing! It went after the others, and damn near got me. I'll try to see if I can draw it toward you, but you had better pray to the gods that sub of yours can catch it!" It wasn't hard to find the thing. He could hear it engage his comrades in battle. He had to hurry! Wanting to catch it by surprise and injure it. With a cry, he fired a volley of ki at the ugly, massive creature, peppering its thick hide with blast after blast of energy blasts, hoping to draw its attention. tag: Lute, Andrew C. The message Null sent to Doctor Boot was never reached. The scientist was busy fiddling with his own instruments, trying to figure out what was going on down there. Far too afraid to inch closer, to see what had happened to his little expedition. As Null followed the creature, he went into its strange distorted zone and upon doing so cut himself off from outside communication. His arrival would prove timely, right as Creed was currently being accosted by its tentacles and telekinetic powers. The thing barely fit inside of the cavern that it used as a nest. Null would notice upon firing his rain of ki blasts that he barely scratched its tough hide. The thing was built like a war ship. It could survive intense heats and ridiculous amounts of damage without being scratched. He would need to step it up a notch if he wanted to take the monster down. It's mighty maw opened up and upon doing so, it started to use suction to draw Creed toward it. Creed's sensors would also detect that it was also latching onto the artificial ki inside of his suit and trying to pull it towards it. Alarms would blare. Sensors would go haywire. This thing was the reason that their signals weren't getting anywhere, and why the readings whey were getting ridiculous. The aberration was literally bending and distorting reality around it. A voice would enter Creed's mind, and with it pure rage. CEASE YOUR ACTIONS MORTAL!Tracker ACTION SUMMARY

This was fascinating, absolutely fascinating. This creature seemed to be attempting to absorb his Ki, Creed wondered if the thing could actually sense it as well… Readings were inaccurate and mostly unreadable. Creed increased his boosters to launch himself back into the stalks of Eggs as the creature’s voice echoed throughout his mind. “Mortal?” He would think back to the creature. “You have yet to strike me any meaningful blow as of yet, and you dare call me a Mortal? Let this be known, creature, you are no god and I shall prove this very soon. But you can at least die in peace knowing one of your spawn will survive this day, I cannot say the same for the rest of your brood” From within the forest of egg stalks, a bright blue light could be seen, slowly growing outwards. “Let me remove my mortal shackles for you, peon, and show you my true power” Any of the stalks within a 20 ft radius of Creed were instantly vaporized by the sudden burst of power. A large and serrated, and red hot harpoon would burst outwards from the remaining stalks of eggs, followed by two more. They would attempt to impale themselves into the Creature’s eyes. If unsuccessful, they would embed themselves into the walls surrounding. Creed would come flying out of the forest in a new and strange set of armor. His green cloak was nowhere to be found, the once slim armor now took on a tank like appearance, any of the Emerald Ki ports now shone a brilliant Sapphire blue, and blades jutted out of his forearms. Creed held his arm out blade first, hoping to impact against the creature first. If unable, he’d simply begin to slash and tear into whatever he could on the creature, aiming mainly for the eyes. After finishing up with his butchering, he would aim a hand at the creature, blasting down at it a fully powered beam, hoping to slice it into two. "Boot? Hey, Boot! Son of a—"Null smacked the side of his helmet in the hopes of jarring his comms. He didn't get a response from the scientist at all. This was part of the reason Null didn't bother with all of this fancy technology, not beyond what he needed to know when he belonged to the Dominion. His attacks glanced off the creature in a harmless fashion. One of its tails lashed out absently at him, swatting at him as if he were an afterthought. It stung a bit, but with its full focus centered on Creed who had fully engaged the creature, Null suspected he didn't take nearly the amount of damage the creature could truly dish out. "Damn it!" he shouted, swimming out of the vicinity of one of the harpoons as it zipped past him, slamming into the cavern wall behind Null. "Hey, Creed, I'm over here!"What had the world come to for Null to be reduced to collateral damage? He was a warrior, a born and bred Saiyan fighter. But here in the water, his experience counted for nothing. He hesitated for just a moment, wondering if he should retreat to go find Dr. Boot. Nothing but a black expanse greeted him. He would get lost in a matter of minutes. Deciding to aid the androids, he fired off more energy blasts, remaining at a safe distance away so as to avoid those nasty tentacles. If Creed wanted to draw the creature's ire, Null would let him. tag: Lute, Andrew C. Creed, Azuma | post count: 7 BATTLE TRACKERSUMMARY

Null's attacks previously had little effect. But, Creed--he was a different story. The blades of his armored suit dug deep into the creature's hide, sundering open long and deep gashes. Blood filled the depths, a swirling dark cloud of it darkening the dull volcanic light inside the cave. It recoiled from the attacks, right into Null who also laid into it with another salvo. Knowing that it's young were dead, and now cornered in this cave--it realized its error. But, it was too late. The creature would need energy if it wanted to fight back, if it wanted to be effective. Creed was giving off plenty of it, even if the energy was a bit strange. It has a taste to it, a bitterness, as though it were a mockery of the very real and lush ki that a living creature like Null emanated. Just what was this armored creature? The aberration's maw opened up wider and it pulled harder at Creed, trying to strip away the outer layers of his aura and consume them. He was closer and already facing the aberration, so it made sense to try and sap him first. The mosnter hard to think of a way to escape, to save its young, But, even it could see now there was little hope. Even if it died here, it had served its true purpose long ago. Creed scoffed at the creature’s miniscule siphoning of his Artificial Ki. Judging by how strong this thing was, that small bit was most likely sufficient enough to completely fill the creature. As it began it psychic shrieking, Creed simply pointed a finger to more egg stalk, slicing it in half with a blast. “You can quiet down now, 'Destroyer of Universes'. Accept death with some dignity” Creed held his hand out at it’s open maw, preparing another blast. “If I’m being honest” Creed would think to the creature. “I would of thought you to be stronger than this… Hopefully your child will be more effective when I finish enslaving it. Otherwise I may have to drive your kind into extinction” The attack would fire directly towards the Creature’s maw. If the creature wanted Ki, he’d give it plenty. He’d force feed it till it burst like a water balloon. The minigun on his shoulder would open fire on one of its eyes in an attempt to shred it into mush. Creed would turn his head towards Null. “Focus on destroying the remaining eggs. Leave none remaining and I will ensure you gain more than whatever bonus Doctor Boot would pay you. Attempt to trick me and you will end up like this creature” Creed would return his attention back to the creature, continuing his butchering. Word Count: 306 @cress LuteBATTLE INFO - Andrew C. "Trick you?" He was confused. Why would he try to trick Creed? Better yet, why was the android so suspicious of him all of a sudden? Perhaps this thing had toyed with them as well, casting odd illusions, perhaps of even Null himself. It was plausible. That irritated him. "I don't take orders from you," he barked at Creed. "But I'd rather we didn't let this thing, or any others, escape." He tried in vain to spot Azuma. Perhaps she was on the other side of the gargantuan creature, attacking it from another angle. Its bulbous mass could easily obscure her from sight. Deciding not to worry for her sake and focus more on his own, Null swam past Creed and the creature. Though reluctant to kill the young of any living creature, Creed was right. Dr. Boot only wanted the mother alive. Perhaps it was too dangerous to allow the others to live. He swam between the stalks, firing off blast after blast, destroying the eggs and the stalks. Only when he'd gotten as many as he could see, Null returned to join Creed in the battle to subdue the creature, astonished at the level of brutality Creed fought with. "Don't kill it!" he warned Creed. "I don't care how much money you have. You ought to stick to Boot's instructions. Maybe let me take over the assault while you try to get in touch with him. If you haven't noticed—"He ducked a swiping tentacle. "—comms are down!"Ducking between more of its tentacles, Null sought for more precision strikes, pummeling the tentacles, doing his best to sever them. Without its appendages, this thing could not hope to withstand their concentrated barrage. tag: Lute, Andrew C. Creed, Azuma | post count: 8 BATTLE TRACKERSUMMARY

Frustration. Fear.... Hate. The aberration felt nothing but this pure and unadulterated emotion Its unborn young continued to die. They were being slaughtered for sport now, to prove a point. It shut its wicked mouth, knowing well enough that Creed's beam would burst it asunder if it tried to drink it up. It withdrew several of its tentacles to defend against the continued onslaught. The beam sizzling through two of them, cutting them open and spilling more dark inky blood. It was trapped, it couldn't flee from the cave. The best it could hope for was to gather some energy and lash out at its attackers. If it could get them to retreat, even a little--it could then make for open waters. But, it wasn't a guaranteed plan. For some reason it could barely get any energy from the strange tasting armored being. So, it turned its attention to its original prey. There was no deceiving this one with illusions now. Null's attacks battered it. It hissed and writhed against each pelting fist. And then it shifted, turning its armored back towards Creed and opening its maw at Null. It would try to drink of his energy, letting it flow into its being. Tracker ACTION SUMMARY

Creed’s eye twitched as the creature turned its back on him. The fool dared to insult him like this? No, this wouldn’t stand. Creed turned his head to check how many Egg stalks remained. Even through all his abuse, there still seemed to be quite the substantial amount despite Null’s efforts. Perfect. Creed would float over to the base of one of the egg stalks, ripping it from the rock which it was rooted on. He would float up above the creature, getting a good view of it’s top eye just below its large dorsal fin. The stalk would float above him as Creed slowly spun it, getting to a ridiculous build up of speed before finally whipping it straight down, aiming at it’s open and possibly injured eye. “Did I give you permission to turn away, monster?” Before it could turn around, if it was going to, Creed would float down to it’s hind fin, quickly tying the stalk around it before tightening it, attempting to sheer through its tail completely. Whether it worked or not, Creed would aim his minigun down and open fire to try and finish the job. “You aren’t going anywhere. You are going to stay here and watch as your children die. Your final sight will be the complete incineration of this abyss before I finally grant you peace” Creed glanced to Null, finally giving response to Null’s comments on his methods. “I don’t follow orders, especially not from that fool. I’m going to kill this creature and burn everything it has spawned into ash. We were sent here to take care of this thing. Bringing it back was only for the bonus. If it’s dead, you get paid both Boot’s pitiful salary and double the bonus. So either kill it, or let me kill it”Word Count: 306 BATTLE INFO - Andrew C. Creed, The Iron Capitalist DEFENSE PHASE. Creed was right. The creature had taken damage from both of them, and it was becoming desperate in its assault. Null almost felt sorry for the thing. Perhaps he would if it didn't frighten him. If they hadn't already seen the people it had killed, not to mention those it would kill in the future if left unchecked. And what if he'd fallen to its illusion? Would he be little more than a mushy pile of bones and flesh, swimming in its digestive tract? The thought angered him, even as heavy fatigue tried to overtake him as the creature sucked away his very energy. He broke away as Creed assaulted it with vicious efficiency. It was then Null understood he would never defeat this creature in his current state. Using his momentary anger to fuel him, he raised his fists at his sides, clenching them tight. A golden light began to ensconce his form, the water trembling and churning all around him. With a mighty cry and a brilliant flash of light, a yellow aura of flame surrounded him. Null's eyes, once dark, now shone a stark blue that seemed to glow in the murky depths of the water. His own aura pushed back at the shadows, revealing more of the creature's hideous maw in the warm light. "You may want to get out of the way," he informed Creed, hunching forward. Null drew his hands to his side, blue light flickering between his palms as he charged his attack. "Ka... me..." The light grew brighter, a ball of energy forming. "Haaa... meeee...." The light, brighter than ever, seemed to build to its ultimate crescendo. It grew in size, enveloping his hands and part of his forearms entirely. "Haaaa!" An energy blast exploded from his hands, throwing him backward from the force. It spiraled through the water, steam hissing off its surface as it barreled toward the creature. If it didn't dodge, it would take the blast full force. And, if they were lucky, die in the process. tag: Lute, Andrew C. Creed, Azuma | post count: 9 BATTLE TRACKERSUMMARY

The aberration was used to darkness. But, it had never been blind before. That was a special kind of darkness. It was emptiness--the lack of all vision. It recoiled as the stalk smashed into its eye, the entirety of its massive body twitching and convulsing from the pain. Only moments later to feel an even worse spike of agony as Creed tore off its fin and chewed up the rest of the wounded stump with slugs fired from his minigun. For a moment, it was simply stunned. It had just watched one of its babies get used as a weapon against it. There was going to be no escape. It realized that now. There was no victory either. No, just defeat... and suffering. And then it felt a radiant ki, a powerful eruption from the creature it had just been trying to siphon from. So much, power, so much... to consume. Yet, here it was bloodied and broken. It wanted a taste. No, it needed a taste. A sip of that radiance, a decadent treat before the end. With a surge of voracious hunger, its maw opened up again. The radiant blue beam that Null fired collided with it what was left of its appendages. And then it tried to drink, peeling away layers of the Super Saiyan aura. Tracker ACTION SUMMARY

Creed would fully extend the two large blades on his forearms as the creature went to attack Null. It was ignoring him at this point. Even with all the pain he had inflicted, it ignored him. Perhaps it couldn’t feel pain. He hoped it could, because what was going to happen next was going to hurt. Creed would slash into the stub which once housed the creature’s tail. The slice was about two feet deep, any further and he might start getting into the internal organs. That was not what he was hoping to do. Slowly his drones would descend from where they had previously held his cloak. Two Drones slowly floated out from under the cloak, lighting up their plasma torches. The remaining drones would drape Creed’s cloak over his shoulders as he retracted his blades. “I don’t know if you can understand me, creature, but I have one final warning” The drones would float into the cut, slowly wiggling their way in and activating the plasma torches. “Give up now. Accept your death. I promise it to be quick for now. But if you continue to fight us, then my Drones will drill into your innards and turn them into soup. You will experience perhaps one of the greatest physical pains that any creature could feel. I grow weary of this conflict, so end it now” The Drones would move forwards a bit until reaching a suitable position. Though they progressed no further into the creature, they did continue to activate their plasma torches. Word Count: 256 BATTLE INFO - Andrew C. Creed, The Iron Capitalist DEFENSE PHASE. Some of his yellow aura slipped away into the creature's open mouth. Null felt heavy fatigue settle like a weight into his bones. It threatened to sap every ounce of energy he had, but with his transformation, he found he had plenty to spare. "You want to take my energy?" His aura flared brightly, shining like a beacon of hope despite the horror of the creature before him. A steady blast of energy erupted from his hands as Null maintained the energy attack, though it was being sucked into the creature. It became a battle of wills. The question remained of who would win. Null thought of the many lives that had been claimed by this creature. He thought of Azuma, who might have very well been a victim herself. He thought of his Saiyan brothers, who had joined his cause and entrusted their very lives to him. He thought of Wua Lu, and his soon-to-be born child. So many depended on him. For this reason, he could not fail. Another mighty bellow erupted from him, his beam doubling in size and ferocity as Null pushed back against the creature. He poured out his energy in spades, hoping to overload the creature. He would teach it the tenacity of a Saiyan! tag: Lute, Andrew C. Creed, Azuma | post count: 10 BATTLE TRACKERSUMMARY

Dr. Boot stared at the blinking crimson indicator on his HUD. His oxygen levels were low and the same with fuel. He had been waiting almost 18 hours for the trio to return from the blackness below him. He had not received a signal from them since only minutes after their descent. They were gone. Lost in the inky nothing. He grimaced, uncertain what he should do. These creatures... were known for their weird effects on reality. It was possible that they were alive down there. Well, except Null, as the Saiyan's life support would have run out six hours prior. The other two--he was uncertain of. They were androids after all.
"Fuck."
He slammed the button on his holo-panel to begin his ascent. A failure. Another failure.
What would be bring back to his superiors? They would no doubt abandon his funding and research. He would be put on some other engineering project something far less interesting.
THE THING THAT LURKS BELOW
Time was a funny thing.
It was even more funny amidst the presence of an aberration. Within the sphere of influence of a creature not from this universe, so foreign to it that the very laws that bound and constructed reality--were not applicable. They were bent and twisted with relative ease.
There was one law, one that even this odd creature could not escape from. And that was Death. The lack of all existence--was inevitable no matter where you hailed from in the twisting nether of creation. Today it's death would come at the savage hand of the two warriors, sent to recover it. Two warriors who had cornered the beast, killed its young, and driven it into a desperate feeding frenzy.
It dran the golden light. Despite the aura's harsh tendency, despite the way it burned--it devoured with an unyielding voracity. It left behind thought, it left behind any notion of survival. No, it was just trying to fulfill its final carnal desire,.
Until, the plasma torches dug into it. It writhed and shuddered, awaking from its stupor.
It was too late though. It damaged and closed eye burst open with a blinding flash. The length of the monster shook and shuttered as golden light spilled back out of it its eye hole and every other port on its body. It had bitten off more than it could chew, quite literally. Inky gore and searing heat filled the waters and it drifted down to the bottom of the cave--finished.
All was silent. It was defeated. Only Creed and his Saiyan companion remained.
Immediately the distortion had faded. Only, soon as their systems detected it, they would realize it was the next day. Dr. Boot's signal was long gone.
