Seeing the adult lose her cool got a cheeky giggle from the little trickster. "Nyeh heh hee~! Silly~! They are not written anywhere, cuz Zam can’t write!" Her comment was as blunt and flat as getting bopped by a paper fan. About as awkward too. If it weren’t for the complete lack of malice within her, one may have thought she did this all on purpose. She was quick to protest the unfair, untrue and frankly blasphemous claim that snack foods didn’t count as scores. "Nuh uh, they are totally scores!" She puffed her bouncy chest proudly, smiling oh so smugly. "Yup yup, it’s my very own super special game." Amatricina had hit the nail on the head with her deduction. This was indeed a game cooked up in the chaotic corners of a tiny Majin’s mind.
And sometimes the only winning move was not to play.
When the topic shifted to candy, Zam’s eyes started positively twinkling. Immense gluttony flared in her soul, vast and bottomless like an ancient abyss. "Yup yup, I loooove candy!" Even with how she stretched the exclamation, it may have still been an understatement. There wasn’t a single type of candy she didn’t like. Beaming with excitement, she nodded eagerly at the mentioned choices. "Oh, those are great picks! It’s funny how super sour candies make your face go all bleeeeh." She scrunched her rubbery features exaggeratedly. "My favorite is chocolate! Brown chocolate, white chocolate, square chocolate, round chocolate..." Counting with her fingers, she rattled off all kinds of things that apparently counted as different kinds. Well, she was the expert here. Sort of...
Several minutes and chocolate types later the barrage finally ended. "...and hot chocolate." The candy connoisseur blinked. Once. Twice. "Um. That’s all of them, I guess." Her twitching nose drew her attention towards the one particular confectionery. Ooh, something smelled super sweet! Zooming around and round the Demon Queen, she gestured excitedly towards the little special shop. "Hey, hey Lady Ama! How about that place?" She had blissfully forgotten the simple yet sinister condition for getting all the candy she could want. Then again... She was capable of devastating things when properly motivated. The devious demon might be in for quite a surprise. Words: 383 [Total = 4680] @amatricina

"I should have guessed as much sooner..." Amatricina said dryly as Zam recounted that Stoppy Car's storied rule book was neither official, recorded, or anything more than her own childish game. She rubbed at her temples, as she began to contemplate simply leveling this city to see if that was enough energy to kill Zam permanently. Sadly though, she did not, both because that would require real effort and because she did not want the whole of the universe aware of her existence just yet. So for now Amatricina simply nodded along in agreement, as if she cared about Zam's strange scoring system or nonsensical rules. There was a pure kind of innocent that erupted from Zam when Amatricina inquired about her favorite candy. The young Majin was driven in a childish rambling about all things candy. It was the most information Amatricina had actually managed to pry out of the creature about any one topic. "Sour candy does not make my face do... that." She offered simply when Zam contorted her face into a pained looking expression. "Though I do appreciate the taste a good deal." She couldn't help but smile as the girl orbited around her like an over-eager moon. It triggered the motherly instincts within the demoness in a strange way. It reminded her of herself when she was very young. How her mother had taken that enthusiasm and taught it proper discipline, and how her father had shaped that energy into that of a proper warrior. She hoped some day to do the same with her own brood of children. "That was rather impressive, Zam." Amatricina added simply when Zam finished recounting her many forms of chocolate. Though most of them had merely been adjectives like 'melted chocolate' or 'tasty chocolate', it was certainly enthusiastic to say the least. The Demon Queen could appreciate the sin of gluttony, and she could sense it welling up mightily within the child. Though Zam's ki may be strange and difficult to read, and her head largely empty, this was one sin that shined through the fog that was the Majin. She smiled as Zam acknowledged their destination, ignoring the fact the girl had completely forgotten they were headed there in the first place. "Ah, an excellent suggestion." The demoness spoke in agreement, giving Zam the credit of discovering this most delicious local. With that Amatricina led Zam to the confectionery, pushing open double doors and allowing the two inside. The store itself was quaint, taking up only a single floor. Candies and snacks of all sorts and shapes lined the walls in great barrels with scoops waiting. A fudge making station was also set up at the far end of the shop, with a glass wall so fat little children could watch their favorite fudge packers at work. The entire place smelled of chocolate and love. Soon it'd stink only of death. Amatricina grinned, demonic light shining from her eyes as she raised a hand. The shop patrons seemed shocked at the appearance of the two beings that had walked in the store. A horned woman and a pink girl who was also horned, though much less notably so. "Greetings Mortals, struggle against me and perish in flames." Amatricina commanded simply, as tendrils of Dark Energy shot out from beneath her cloak. They raced across the store, enshackling every man, woman, and child in their grip. Chaining arms and limbs and preventing all from moving. A woman screamed out in terror, and Amatricina quickly jerked her head and fired her Burning Gaze at the woman. The poor earthling was incinerated before she could blink, and the room grew deathly silent. "The next one of you to utter a sound shares her fate." Amatricina ordered curtly, already irritated with the mortals and their fear. "Now. As I was saying..." She turned to Zam, patting the girl tenderly on her head. "Majin Zam. See how powerful I am? These mortals are insects before me. I could kill them all without lifting a finger. The strong take what they desire, and the weak must give them what they ask or suffer for it." The demon bent down on her knees, meeting the short child at eye level. "Do you understand what that means Zam? It means we can have as much candy as we want, because we are strong, they are weak. But, I won't let you. Because I am much stronger than you. Not unless you play my own game. My game is simple, its called 'Massacre'. The rules are simple, kill everyone in this store, leave no survivors. And don't make it messy, I wouldn't want bits of them on my sweets. Earthlings taste vile, too many drugs and alcohol." Amatricina wrapped her arm tenderly around Zam's slender shoulders, smiling ear to ear as she spoke. "Understand Zam? Kill them all, win all the candy you can eat. Fail, and you get nothing but sadness. It's an easy game." The demoness said, leaning in to whisper in her ear. "I know you'll be good at it."

Much to Zam’s immense glee, the adult agreed! With a jubilant- "Yaaay!" -she burst through the door, blissfully ignorant of the odd looks they were getting. She was much too busy enjoying all the sweet scents that tickled her sensitive nose. Super delicious! Her mouth turned into a waterfall of drool as she tried to decide what to eat first. Maybe, uh, the chocolate? Or mix it up and go for fudge? Ooh or even both at the same time? So many choices! Only tender head pats were enough to snap the hungry girl out of her daydreams. She happily nuzzled against the armored hand, wanting juuust one more pat. Okay, maybe one more. Mooore... The sinister intentions were completely lost on her.
Meanwhile in Zamland -where things looked happier than normal and a cheery music always played on the background for some reason- the Demon Queen sounded very different. Blah blah powerful blah blah? Zam nodded. Blah mortals blah blah blah blah. More nodding there. Zam knew that adults liked it when she nodded at their big and important words. Certain words sparked something inside her though. A dark giggle echoed through her mind. Even if someone had known to ask, she could have never put it into sensible words. But... Somehow it was all just so familiar... Like once upon a time a grandpa, different from her grandpa, had told her same kind of things... Especially that one word Lady Ama kept using again and again. Yeah, she remembered that trick...
It went something... like... this.
Back in reality, the child’s eyes turned red. Her hand slowly rose, fingers splaying and palm pointing towards the people. Amatricina was halfway through her sentence about all the candy when a massive blast drowned the rest of her words. Resembling an enormous wave of pink glitter, the highly volatile energy promptly vaporized the victims. And the back end of the shop. Not to mention a good portion of the city block behind it... "Done! Can has candy now?" She chimed up cheerfully, like she had just finished a chore. There wasn’t even a hint of guilt on those honest, innocent features. She only cared about the candy. Worryingly though, her eyes still remained red...
One of the first things creatures of good or evil learned about little Zam was that her morals were flexible. Just like the Majin herself. Where most people saw the world in black and white, or more sensibly in shades of gray, she was a firm believer in bubblegum pink and chocolate brown. The world was fun and delicious! She couldn't help it really. It was in her nature. Words: 445 [Total = 5125] @amatricina

The demon looked on in mild surprise as Zam obliterated much of the store, and the street behind it. Such a destructive little pink package, her power far betrayed what Amatricina could readily sense within her. That damnable ki hid great inner potential. And no quarrels for violence either, in fact, Zam hadn't even let Amatricina finish before she vaporized the patrons in her pink energy wave of death. When the dust settled Amatricina was simply standing there clapping her hands as she smiled tenderly at the girl. "Excellent work Zam. Though you could do with some finesse." She cooed, withdrawing the remaining tendrils of Dark Energy that now shackled nothing but ash back into herself. Everyone had been slain, though it was far from as 'clean' as Amatricina would have hoped. Still, it was the thought that counted, and Zam's thoughts had not hesitated with such concerns as 'morality' or 'benevolence' or 'mercy.' There was only a desire for candy, a deep gluttony that spurned on more violent actions. Perfect. Amatricina looked down at Zam, patting her lovingly on the head as she spoke. "Yes Majin Zam, we can have candy now." The demoness glanced to a counter top, lazily waving a hand and pulling a jar of malted milk balls to her direction. She reached in, grabbing one with her claws and popping it into her mouth. The Demon Queen chuckled to herself, thinking how productive this day had turned up. A dragonball sat safe and secure in her bosom, and she had discovered a strange, violent new form of being. One neither divine or demonic, but something all together unique. Majins, what strange creatures they were. So chaotic, and prone to recklessness. She had doubt the Kais must detest them, like loose cannons unleashed upon the Mortal Realm. "In fact..." Amatricina added, ceasing her pats. "You may have all the candy you can eat..." With that she trailed off, already hearing sirens in the distance. Mortal authorities, she would deal with them when they arrived. For the moment thought, Amatricina was simply content to savor another sweet victory.

Celebration and jubilation filled the ruined store when the child was finally given permission to indulge. Giggling gleefully, she zoomed back and forth along the shelves and shoveled treats down the bottomless hatch. A handful of this... And a good helping of those... Everything she snatched she munched happily. Chocolate, fudge and more blended together into a sickeningly sweet vortex. Just looking at her go would’ve made a lesser creature’s teeth ache. Worse yet, every bite fueled the growing sugar rush. At this rate the little bundle of energy would be completely out of control for the rest of the day. But then again, it probably wouldn’t be Amatricina’s problem anymore. Probably.
Meanwhile, the precious relic was surrendered completely to the Demon Queen’s clutches. One more orb of power for the dark collection. Zam didn’t even remember the precious, shiny thing that had started this whole encounter. Her mind was much too full of sugar. It was better this way though. Some things were definitely not toys. What would a Majin even wish for anyway?
So the strange little story between a Demon and a Majin came to an end. As expected, a lot of senseless destruction had occurred. People had died. Somewhere up in the heavenly realms the Kais no doubt watched with great disapproval. However, since they so vehemently refused to interfere, the two destructive creatures were free to run amok. The approaching sirens would be no match for them either. Only when the candy and fun ran out, the two would finally go their separate ways. Even the heavens feared that one day they might meet again.
But that would be a story for another time... Words: 285 [Total = 5410] @amatricina
