As the battle concludes and Asuka's hand is raised at the end of battle she can't help but keep her eyes locked on Yuujin as his broken spirit, is seemingly crushed by the loss he suffered. She smiled for the crowd but inside she was rather heartbroken. As the matches went on, Asuka would continue to blaze through her bracket making it all the way to the semi-final round. But throughout each match she was constantly concerned for Yuujin going as far to check on him after every match, though much to her chagrin she was turned away every time. But Asuka was persistent and after qualifying for the finals Asuka snuck back to the infirmary to try and persuade the doctors to let her visit him.
"You again...I told you patient Ogata is resting..."
Asuka looked to the doctor with puppy dog eyes and did her best to plead with him.
"Please Doctor...he's my friend can I at least see him for five minutes?"
With a heavy sigh the Doctor stepped aside and allowed her inside.
"5 minutes." he sternly remarked
Asuka bowed, thanked the doctor and headed inside.
"Arigato."
Upon entering inside she found Yuujin in the back of the room fast asleep, she looked upon his sleeping face with a smile. But as her eyes drifted down towards his wounded right arm, she then began to feel a tad guilty. "I'm probably the last person he wants to see right about now..." saddened by guilt the young girl turned to leave in order to allow him some time to properly rest. But just as she was about to leave she got an idea. "The Nikko Potion...it's the least I can do!" Tucked inside her sash Asuka removes a potion of Nikko Flower Extract and took the seal that normally had the name of the potion on it and turned it inside out. She then quickly looked around for a pen and once she found one quickly penned a message on the tag.
Dear Yuujin-kun, I was worried about you so I brought you some medicine I know you might not want to look at me right now but, I hope you'll at least get better in time to enjoy the rest of the tournament. I hope you'll still be rooting for me in the standsyou it would mean a lot to me, get well soon...Asuka.
as Asuka set down the bottle of medication for her friend she looked to him once more. "Ya know...he's kind of cute when he's sleeping..."
"Time's up Ma'm!" called out the Doctor.
"Uh-oh!"
Asuka then walked out of the room in a huff, hoping that Yuujin would awake in time to see her letter, and that hopefully come her next fight Yuujin would be there to show his support. who knows perhaps his feelings were more than just a momentary distraction.
