Smoke billowed high into the skies on the other side of the valley. A great plume of ash and sorrow rising from the ruins of Shuma Village, the once home of Asuka Atsuki. The sleepy mountain hamlet reduced to ash and rubble in one fell swoop by Amatricina the Avaricious, Queen of the Demon Realm. Her task had been simple, the demoness had sensed the now familiar energy of a Dragonball in the area, having already grown familiar with their magical energies. Not content with one wish from the Eternal Dragon, she already hungered for a second, resuming her quest to reacquire the mystic artifacts as they scattered across the the stars. Her search had been fruitful, and the Demoness held the orange three starred gem aloft in her talons, grinning widely as she inspected its perfection. Once finished she tucked the gemstone back into its hiding place, snug deep between the overgenerous bosoms of the Fire Demons.
In the wake of her 'victory', if one could even call it that; in truth it was simple butchery, Amatricina said atop a large boulder in the middle of the Earth's vast forested wilderness that stretched across the northern lands. She had elected not to return to her realm just yet, not yet anyways at least. The earth may yet hold more Dragonballs, and the Demon Queen sat silently, feeling out across the planet trying to sense the magical energies permeated by the gems. Though it was possible to build a device to pin point the locations of a Dragonball, Amatricina had no need for such things. A Dragonball radar could be broken, stolen, and lacked the sheer range as her vast magical senses could extend. From her perch atop the bulking piece of granite she felt out across the width and breath of the Earth, brow furrowed in concentration trying to divine the location of the gems of wish granting power. When the only energy she sensed was the orb snug in her bosom, Amatricina ceased her search, letting out a content sigh. "Only one Dragonball arrived on Earth then. So be it... I will have Sincara check Kabocha, Mark I will travel to Arcose, and I will search Ferusalem next." She planned to have her Everchosen assist her in sweeping the galaxy, world by world until she had reassembled her prize. Shenron had been loath to help Amatricina the first time, but was bound by the Dragonballs' magic to grant her wish. Amatricina smiled to herself, imagining how irritated the wish granting dragon would be to see her a second time so soon.
As she was about to rise from her stony throne and depart the world, Amatricina's stomach let out a soft growl. It had been a few hours since she ate last, and she'd left most of the villagers in Shuma Village too burned or mangled to make for decent meals. Luckily for Amatricina, she knew well the Earth's wilds were teaming with an abundance of life. Prey grew fat and happy, free from the likes of the nightmarish demonic predators that ravaged the surface of the demoness' own world. On Monsigneus every wild beast was a ravenous omnivore, devouring whatever source of nourishment it could sink its teeth into. Only the strongest survived in the harsh volcanic gauntlet they called life. But here on Earth, in the idyllic fall breeze of a rolling forest life was tranquil and peaceful. It made the world's animals stupid and slow. Like the one that came into view. Amatricina grinned, fate smiling upon her once more.
It was a deer, a large buck no less. With a proud set of antlers and a powerful, agile body that had survived many wolves and many more winters. The deer twitched, turning its head and looking at Amatricina's boulder. It was empty, the demoness gone, and the deer thought nothing of it. As it turned its head back to resume its grazing the last thing the animal felt was razor sharp talons carving its head clean from its body. Beady black eyes catching the glint of blood soaked gold before the life slipped from the creature's mind. Amatricina flicked her wrist, wiping the blood from her gauntlet as she began to strip the flesh from her kill. She hauled it back to her boulder, using her telekinesis to shear the large stone into the shape of an ornate gazebo with a stone table in the center. It took but a modicum of mental effort, such psychic feats came easily to the strongest living demon in existence.
Amatricina tossed the corpse of the slain beast onto the table, its blood pooling in a basin so it would not ooze off the edges. The demoness took a seat, grinning as she ripped a hind leg from the deer and began to slowly sear the meat with her fire breath. The scent of roasting meat filling the immediate area, drifting with the headwinds down the slopes of the forested mountain towards the valley below. The demoness paused her flambe, inspecting the now grilled meat and sniffing it eagerly. Her mouth practically salivated, and Amatricina raised the cooked limb to her mouth taking a great fleshy bite from the meat. She'd finish her meal, then conjure a Dimensional Rift back to the Arioch to inform Dain Sincara of her plans. For now though, the Demon of Avarice was content simply to enjoy her feast.

A strange mystic energy suffused his entire being.
It was wholly unfamiliar to Null, and though the divine gift had come from a prayer offered at the hands of a Shinjin (Niha), it's very nature was still a mystery to Null.
He did not understand this strange force mingling with his ki.
In order to gain a better understanding, Null searched throughout East City to find one versed in dealing with the mystic arts. There were few masters who grasped an understanding of it -- even fewer who could boast a personal encounter with such phenomenon as Null experienced. But it wasn't all for naught.
There were rumors of a small village hidden within the mountainous regions hundreds of miles north of North City. They were mostly secluded from the rest of the world, though not wholly inaccessible by those willing to brave the crumbling mountain paths and sheer drops that dominated the craggy, tree-laden valleys.
It was a simple task to access such a place for him, considering he could fly. Yet nothing could have prepared Null for what he ultimately found.
Fire and ash.
A pile of burned rubble was all that remained of what once might have been a flourishing village. Null hovered in the air, miles above the burned out wreckage. It was little more than a charred skeleton of the village that once stood there.
"How could something like this happen, so far up in the mountains?"
Null began to scan the surrounding area, but he could not see what could have possible wrought this level of destruction. But he could sense it. It felt malicious in nature, permeating his senses as much as the smell of roasted meat. A bandit group, perhaps? No... this was far more sinister and... otherworldly. If he hadn't spent some time training in Other World, Null would not have recognized the chaotic taint of demonic aura in the air.
This wasn't good. Nor was it a problem he could feasibly handle.
But he needed answers. So he had to try.
Locking onto the ki signature, Null flickered from view and disappeared, leaving nothing but the smoke to fill the empty space he left.
He snapped into view just a few dozen yards short of the culprit.
Null could hardly believe his eyes.
It was as if the finest of stonesmiths had carved out a small niche right there in the mountains. A towering figure in regal, gilded armor seemed to be enjoying a fresh meal. Even at this distance, Null could sense that this woman was stunning, in both her aura and her appearance. Her flaming red hair stood out like a beacon amidst the drab grey of the stone gazebo and the dry shrubs that sparsely dotted the rocky terrain.
Null hovered there in the air, staring at the figure from a distance, trying to gauge his next move.
Her aura felt oppressive, dense and palpable, it seemed to want to drag him down to the ground, burying him in the very rocks beneath his feet. Null fought against it with his own aura, a thin veil of white mystic energy coating his being to work as a counteracting agent against her oppressive energy.
Daring to float closer to the being, Null paused when he was within earshot of the figure, not desiring to draw any closer than the situation warranted.
Though wary of her strength, a part of him felt elated at encountering such a formidable being.
"Are you the one who razed that village?"
It couldn't have been anyone else. Though Null felt he still needed that confirmation.
"Those people... I hear they were good. Innocent people who did not need to die. I needed information from them... guess that's not happening any time soon."

Amatricina sensed the Saiyan as he drew close, she sensed every Saiyan on Earth and every being on the planet of any notable power level for that matter. It was all background noise she tended to drown out until they drew close. The Saiyan flying around inspecting the ruins of Shuma Village was akin to an fly buzzing too close to the head of the demoness. It existed, but until it got too close it did not annoy her. When the warrior came hover near enough to inspect her masonry, Amatricina let out a short sigh. It seemed today was going to be one of those days. She no longer ever bothered hiding her demonic ki, why would a Demon Lord ever choose to hide in the guise of a mortal if they could will it? That meant dealing with foolish and curious mortals who inevitably sought her out. Hopefully this one wasn't dumb enough to challenge her, she much preferred the taste of deer to Saiyan.
Still eating her meal, Amatricina slowly turned her head so she could lock eyes with the Saiyan in the distance. Her fiery gaze glowed with a radiant orange light. She held the deer's haunch up to her mouth to take another mouthful of red meat. Amatricina then vanished from sight, moving imperceptibly faster than the Saiyan could follow leaving only an after image in her wake. She appeared directly before him, meeting the Saiyan at eye level as she hovered. Amatricina had several inches on him in height, more than a foot if one included her horns. She now hovered only feet in front of him, her demonic aura at barely a quarter of her full power level and yet it still managed to eclipse the Saiyan's several times over. The demoness stared for a moment, ruby gaze unblinking as she finished another bite of the animal haunch she still held clutched in her hand. Only when Amatricina finally swallowed did she at last open her mouth to speak.
"Indeed I am, Mortal. How perceptive of you." Her words came haughty and harsh, and Amatricina chuckled to herself as a wicked smile crossed her face. "It was easy too, I barely had to lift a finger. Imagine what I could do if I did." The demoness scoffed to herself when the mortal had the audacity to inform her the villagers had been good people who should have been spared her wrath. It was as if he knew not what manner of being he conversed with. To a demon slaying the weak came as natural as breathing, Amatricina had to make conscious effort not to do it. She took another bite of her meal, seemingly unphased by this conversation enough to stop gorging herself. "Good, evil, naive words for a foolish world view. The people of that village were hardly innocent. They were selfish, greedy, and it cost them their lives and those of their kinsmen."
Amatricina shrugged, nonchalantly, and began to regale her story. "I came to the village in search of a mystic treasure they housed. One I wanted for the betterment of my own clan. A selfless goal, from a noble ruler only acting in the best interests of her kin. I offered the villagers peaceful terms, stating my name and my purpose for invading the sanctity of their village. They needed merely hand over their artifact and I would be on my way. My time is far more precious than the lives of a handful of mortals. If it wasn't, do you think this planet would yet be more than a debris field floating through the cold depths of space?"
Amatricina paused her story, taking another bite of deer as she let her words sink in. Only when she had swallowed did she continue. "The villages, thinking only with their greed, denied my request. They tried to spirit away my rightful prize into safekeeping, and sent their priestess and champions to face me in battle. It was a foolish notion, they were not even embers before my flame. I slew them with ease, reclaiming what I desired from the rubble of their misbegotten village anyways. Had they simply parted ways with their treasure they'd yet live, and you'd be hearing the tale of the fearsome demoness that visited their village but did them no harm while you sat around their fires sharing in their meals." Amatricina grinned a malevolent grin, chuckling to herself. "Instead you find only a village of corpses, and a once more triumphant Demon Lord enjoying her lunch. Now tell me Saiyan, because I am both curious and in a good mood. What is your name, and what information does a Saiyan seek from a backwater mountain village that's of such importance?" Her questions asked Amatricina took one last bite of her meal, then began to snap up the bones in her jaws to devour the marrow.

He wished he could say that her story surprised him. Sadly enough, it was not the first scene of genocidal carnage Null had witnessed in his thirty six years of life. How many villages had his squad been ordered to raze to the ground during his time with the Dominion? Saiyans were brutal. Once, their race was known for building profit off the misfortune of others, wiping out entire colonies and selling the newly emptied moons and planets for profit to the highest of bidders. He had no right to judge her.
Null could not even say that it was simply a matter of follow orders. A part of him had felt a certain thrill. Seeing the fear and panic on their faces as they realized their inevitable demise. Pummeling their warriors to bloody pulps for putting up their pathetic resistance, energy rifle fire reducing their dwindling numbers to nothing. How many species met their tragic end before the might of an advancing Saiyan army? It was no wonder Queen Radia's last major decree was met with ill reception. Who could believe Saiyans more than the brutes they were?
No, he would not judge her. Nor would he oppose her. "Selfish and greedy. Would that not be calling the kettle black? They refused to part with whatever artifact you sought from them. They chose to protect their own. In the end, it cost them their lives." He glanced back over his shoulder. Null could still see the rising columns of smoke, smell the acrid stench of the burning valley. "I should think dying for that precious treasure of theirs was a noble cause in their eyes. As far from greedy as one could get. But it's not like we can ask them, now can we?"
She would further regale him with her story, speaking as if she were some glorious conqueror who hardly need to lift a finger to punish the 'foolish' mortals, as she called it. Hovering this close to Null, he was able to take in the full breadth of her. She was tall, every bit as elegant and regal as her attire testified. Her curled horns were a sight to behold, the fire in her gaze as fierce and deadly as the eyes of any grizzled warrior Null had ever fought in combat. Her breasts, huge mounds of ample goodness, nearly dominated his view.
Part of him burned with lust for her. He could feel her aura intermingling with his own. It sought with inky tendrils to permeate his protective aura. Every instinct in his body told him to flee from her, to get far away from the demoness. His heart began to pound in his chest, his Saiyan blood stirring in the presence of such a formidable foe. She terrified him, and yet, Null refused to show a single ounce of fear in her presence. He would not be intimidated. He would not flee like some coward.
Upon finishing her regaling tale of conquest, Null was left with a choice. Should he give her his name? Play into her fanciful tale? In truth, a part of him felt grieved for the loss of life Shuma Village incurred. What would he have done, in her stead, if Null had reached them first? What if they refused to help him learn of the strange mystic energy that filled him? Would he have destroyed them, too? Her speed was phenomenal, even for the likes of himself. Fleeing was a non-option.
Null would have to utilize a lesser used skill from a neglected part of his arsenal if he hoped to end up as more than a messy pile of burnt flesh, much like the deer that filled her toned belly. "I'm Null. That's about it." He held no fancy titles or positions, nor did he boast of any noble blood or special claim. He was a gutter rat from New Sadla who cherished every breath that filled his lungs, especially before a demon who could ensure that each breath was his very last.
"You probably already know I'm a Saiyan. Your kind has a knack for figuring that out. I've been to your realm... briefly. Glad I didn't run into you." It was probably more truth than he should have divulged. "I recently had an encounter with a divine being on New Namek. I... asked for a blessing. I'm not sure what she did, but... I feel different. My energy is different. I can't quite explain it." A frown deepened his countenance as Null recalled meeting Niha. "It's not a bad thing, but... I feel I need to better understand what's happening to me."
"I don't suppose you could help with that, could you?" To ask the Demon Lord for help sounded as ridiculous as if her quarry, which she currently feasted on, had asked to not be her lunch. "You mentioned some sort of mystic treasure? Can you explain to me its properties? Can you surmise if it possesses some form of energy?" His questions were a desperate barrage, one after the other, relentless in their manner. "I don't know what's going on with me, and frankly... I'm frightened. But I guess I'm left with no other option than to ask you for help instead."

Amatricina chuckled, her meal had her in a good mood, and she tolerated the mortal's jokes. "Selfish and Greedy? Me, I am Avaricious, I am beyond Greed. But I am hardly selfish. I do what I do to ensure a future for my clan. I am their Warlord, they are my subjects. My purpose is to lead, theirs is to follow. If I cannot lead my clan to a greater future, then my rule as Warlord is a disgrace, and my failure should be forgotten to the dust of history. My strength is our strength, my victories are our victories. When I fail, my clan suffers for it and when I succeed we are triumphant together. Tell me, do you think these villagers felt the same?" This much was truly what Amatricina thought of herself. The Fire Demons' held their honor high, sacred pacts and edicts guided their every action. Chief among those was the Warlord's duty to rule. If the warlord was not a strong and capable ruler, they opened themselves up to being usurped by a political rival challenging to their throne. It was infrequent, but did happen. However it had been many generations since Amatricina's bloodline had come into power, her great ancestor slaying an unworthy ruler who proved time and again to be a Warlord unworthy of their support.
The demoness scoffed again, suppressing a laugh as she raised a hand to her mouth. "They refused to part with my artifact because they were foolish and short sighted. My kind honors a simple edict, Saiyan. One your race will surely appreciate the simplicity of." Amatricina cleared her throat before reciting the First Flame's edict. "The Weak must serve the Strong, or be crushed beneath them. It is a simple message, one that has guided our philosophy in all things for tens of millions of years." Her eyes narrowed, and the demoness snapped up the last bit of bone before casting aside the hoof of the beast. "By denying the will of the stronger power, they assured I had no use for them and they would suffer for this transgression. Had they been less short sighted, and considered my bargain they would have lived. Look at their options, do not cave to my demands and perish before me in battle. Or accept my terms and have a chance of survival. Which is preferable Saiyan, the certainty of death or the hope of survival? They didn't need protect their own, I wasn't there to kill, only to take. They chose to make themselves objects of my ire with their defiance, making their sacrifice all the more foolish for it."
Amatricina's demonic senses could cleanly divine the emotions of other beings. The soul was a map her kind could easily read, it was one of many tricks in a demon's arsenal. She could see cleanly the evil desires in mortal's hearts, the sins that gripped their soul. This Saiyan, like so many mortal men before him, was gripped by lust. It brought a smile to the demon's face. She narrowed her eyes and gave the warriors a sultry gaze as she slowly drifted around him. Giving ample view of her commanding rear beneath her cloak as she did. "We could ask them, Saiyan. I can pass between Dimensions as easily as you can summon your ki to fly. The fabric of the universe is my plaything, and I travel unhindered by it through my dark magic. We could go to the Other World, ask the slain mortals of that village. Do you think they'd still believe their futility was worthwhile? I achieved my goals, they paid with their lives needlessly. Their struggle has ended, and my ambitions are unimpeded. Do you think if you asked they'd gladly do the same again?" Amatricina was behind the Saiyan now. She placed her hands on his shoulders and leaned in to whisper into his ear. Her armored bust pressed flush to his back. "I think not." She whispered softly, before pulling herself away.
She listened intently as the mortal regaled her with his own stories. Though as he did a vein began to throb at the demon's temple. The phrase divine being setting off a powder keg within the volatile demoness' black heart. Once Null's speech was over Amatricina's hand immediately shot out for his neck while her aura flared violently around her. Burning crimson ki wreathed in black lightning forged of Dark Energy that crackled and arced with pure power. "An interesting tale. Saiyan. A shame you were foolish enough to tell me." Amatricina's eyes narrowed, her gaze growing cold and fierce as she bared her fangs. Talons tight around the warrior's throat, though not enough to draw blood or completely cut off his breath. "Indeed, you should be glad you didn't have the misfortune of running into me in my realm. I'd have devoured your bones for defiling our realm with your feeble, mortal presence. But that is not what commands my Wrath, Saiyan. You encountered a divine being, and asked for a blessing. I should break your neck just for admitting that to me."
Amatricina relaxed her grip slightly, if only just. She sniffed at the air, her aura was so suffocating in its presence she hadn't even noticed the flicker of divinity to the Saiyan's ki. She opened her mouth wide, gleaming white teeth and pointed fangs on display as the Saiyan got a clear view of her blood stained maw. She inhaled deeply, drawing in a great portion of his ki with her light eating abilities. Gorging herself until she was full of more than just a meal. The gift of the Eternal Dragon was not being wasted, and she employed it whenever applicable. Divine ki tasted exquisite, the most delicious of all forms; though the ki of a Saiyan, particular a Super Saiyan was also delicious. When she finished Amatricina's very aura seemed swollen from her energy thirst, and she licked her plump lips. "You have been touched by the briefest, most fleeting amount of divine ki I have ever sensed or tasted. The shinjin who blessed you must be so far down in the heavenly hierarchy they are not even born of a Golden Fruit of the Kaiju tree. Not even fit to meet my flame." The demoness paused, patting her full belly lovingly with her free hand.
"Your divine blessing is good for one thing Saiyan. It makes your ki taste even better than it would before. For that you will live, this time." She mulled over what to say next, a part of her just wanted to drain the warrior completely dry. The sin of Gluttony had grown much stronger in the Fire Demon since her wish for the power to conquer the Demon Realm. She had come to enjoy indulging it greatly, but she had already given the mortal her word and she was loath to go back on that. "Your energy is different from the rest of your race, it now carries a spark of the divine. The faintest flicker of the energy wielded by the very Kais themselves. You will find magic comes easier to you, with the exception of the dark magic my kind wield. That will be beyond your grasp unless you purge yourself of this divinity." The demoness licked her lips, hungry eyes already inspecting the warrior's depleted aura. "Something I'd be happy to assist with..." She added sardonically, she knew he'd never accept.
Amatricina lowered the two to the ground, forcibly. Her armored heels touching warm earthen forest floor as she held the Saiyan inches from the ground aloft in her taloned embrace. "I could help you, Null." The first time she'd uttered the warrior's name. Her voice become soothingly, almost motherly. A false tone, Amatricina liked to keep mortals who asked of her assistance off balance with her words. She released her grip enough for the warrior to breath easy, though she would not let him free just yet. "I know more of the divine and the demonic than any other being in this realm. I am a sorceress without peer, the strongest of my clan in a thousand generations. You could hope for no better mentor.... But." She let that word hang in the air. "But, you'd need offer me something I desire. Something worthy of me wasting my precious time teaching you of the power you now so faintly wield, and the magic you could command. Something more than your energy, delicious though it may be. I suspect you have nothing of such to offer me." She smiled, a malevolent smile matched by a piercing gaze. "You should be frightened, you admitted you were blessed by the divine to a Demon Lord. Be glad I was in a good mood Saiyan, and for the record, the relics I seek are the last thing I intend to inform you of. Do you think me as daft as you are?"

To stoke the ire of one such powerful being was a bonafide death sentence, but it was a necessary calculated maneuver on his part. The benefit of being a gutter rat was that people often underestimated you. All of his life, Null was surmised to be of even less worth than the dirty rags that adorned his frail body, potent with the stench of his unwashed being. It was not for a lack of trying. New Sadla had a few notable rivers, but they were abundant with predators looking for their next meal. They did not often care if its source were Saiyan, animal, or otherwise.
Such a powerful grip around his neck would not be the first time he seemed in peril. It was like a vice, powerful enough to hold him in place, though not malicious in its intent to do him actual harm. But he still played the part -- eyes widened in fear, fingers clawing for purchase against the golden gauntlet but finding none. He even kicked his legs a bit to emphasize the struggle. This wasn't the first 'predator' that held him in its claws, opening its vicious maw to devour him whole. Amatricina wasn't the first predator that liked to play with its food.
She touted and spewed more haughty nonsense, to a point where Null almost wished she'd just break his neck, if only to no longer be inundated with her arrogance. Saiyans boasted an arrogance that bordered on obsession -- with themselves, their ideals, and their fighting prowess. But this was beyond annoying. Yet, at the same time, proved quite fruitful. "You know the problem with an arrogance like yours?" His voice came at a soft rasp, his airflow restricted by her crushing grip. Though it did not stop the snide grin that touched his lips. "You love to talk."
Her talons closed on empty air. His after image, still smirking, faded from view. Null appeared behind her, frowning as he rubbed the raw claw markings that marred the skin of his throat. Just another scar to add to the many that decorated his war-hardened body. "It took everything in me not to dodge that... guess I'm lucky you didn't kill me. But I assure you -- I'm a lot faster than this. I needed to get you talking, and well... you told me everything I needed to know." His back faced her own, though should she turn to grab him again, he hovered a few feet away, well out of the demoness's greedy grasp.
"And you're right. You terrify me. But not for the reason you might think. I'm scared I might lose the small amount of willpower I still possess and fight you. But that's not why I came here. I won't be dying just yet." How could he? Amatricina's information opened up a floodgate of information for him. About the divine beings of Other World, and the formidable warlords that dominated Hell's legions. About the mystic energy that mingled with his own, steadily growing stronger with each passing minute. "I never thought I'd possess any aptitude for magic at all. I suppose events have transpired to give me an advantage... for once."
He spun to face her in the air, muscles taut with tension as he prepared to dodge any further attempts she might make at grabbing him again. You didn't survive the grasp of such a monster twice. "I've been given a taste of divinity. Is this what it feels like? To not be bound by the mortal limits of the body? Ageless. Impervious to the disease and detritus that plagues finite beings such as myself." Fingers curled into a tight fist. A spark of mystic aura danced along his knuckles. His smirk widened.
"I may be the only Saiyan alive to possess such... unique energy. You won't kill me... at least, until you've seen what I can do with it. Why not teach me? And in the end, should I be a disappointment... well, I couldn't stop you from devouring my energy if I wanted to, could I? Oppose one as powerful as you? 'Do you think me daft as you are'?"

Amatricina slowly shifted around to face the Saiyan as he slipped out of her grasp. She needed not turn quickly, it was too much effort for a warrior so beneath her. Her eyes came to lock with Null's and she simply chuckled. "It is no surprise your race is used as little more than brutes and cannon fodder. I don't expect Saiyans to be scholars. A lesson, if you will." She stated, though the demoness did little beyond place a hand at her hips. "Arrogance is the exaggerated sense of self worth or importance. The belief that one's abilities are beyond what they actually are. Pride is the sense of satisfaction one receives from their skills and accomplishments. My accolades and my strength speak for themselves. I have a right to be proud. In you, Saiyan, there is only arrogance. You have grasped the fainted, slightest glimmer of divinity and think yourself a god. It is beyond laughable, it is pathetic."
The demoness simply shook her head, rolling her eyes at the foolish being before her. Why she continued to indulge him with conversation, she did not know. "Don't deluge yourself, Saiyan, I can sense fear... or lack their of. Yours is a race too foolish to know fear when they see it. Had you struck me this mountain side would be your tomb, and there would be more death this day than one feeble village of Earthlings. But I'm not here for death, I can find plenty elsewhere. And it would not be 'fighting' you, it'd be an idle distraction." Why this Null felt the need to tell her this, Amatricina would never know. To proudly admit you almost lost the willpower to keep from striking a being that'd easily slay you without a second thought? Perhaps she had overvalued the merit of the Saiyan race's pride. Her own champion, Dain Sincara displayed similar, foolish, deluded levels of bravado. It seemed it was their kinds' great folly.
Amatricina simply scoffed at the warrior's notion his newfound gifts were the source of magical aptitude, he was lacking in his understanding of the concept. "Divinity, like demonic nature, is but a gateway to magic. It flows in my blood, as it does in a Shinjin's own. However, true mastery of magic comes from disciplined training, decades of practice, and tireless meditation. Magic is the harnessing of the energy of the mind, just as ki is the harnessing of the energy of the body. I have seen lowly earthling witches with power levels less than half of yours command sufficient magic to open portals to other realms. And I have seen the strongest mortals this realm has to offer fail to possess even the faintest spark of a talent for magic. If you think the glimmer of divine ki you now wield automatically makes you that much worthy of commanding magic then you are as deluded as the one who bestowed it on you."
Null immediately went on to prove this point, rambling about his 'newfound divinity'. Amatricina chortled, not even trying to suppress it this time. It put her back in a good mood, if only just. "One brief flicker of divinity and you think yourself the Supreme Kai." She said still chuckling, slowly shaking her head. "Ageless? I should think not. Gods die, even they are not truly immortal. Shinjin grow old, they perish, just as my kind do. Long lived though demons and shinjin may be." Amatricina grinned, raising a taloned gauntlet as Dark Energy crackled from his fingertips. "Who's to say I won't kill you? You've certainly said more than enough idiocy to incur my ire." With that Amatricina flicked her wrist, dispelling the energy at her gauntlet as fast as she had summoned it. "You're beneath my contempt though, be lucky for that, Mortal. I care little for you or what 'you can do.' Why would I ever teach my dark magics to one who so brazenly admits to being blessed by a being of the divine? Or does your race truly not possess a word for 'demon' in your native tongue?"
With that said and her points made Amatricina turned to slice through the dimensional fabric itself, tearing open a rift between realms. "You are already a disappointment to me, Null the Saiyan. A foolish warrior, too arrogant to hold his tongue. Who boldly brags of his divine blessing to the very being that will tear every last god from the heavens for their crimes. Be lucky there's humor in your idiocy, or this conversation would be long since over and you'd currently be in the long line waiting for King Yemma's judgement." As she spoke Amatricina casually tore open her rift, the bridge of a warship on the far side. "Now, I'm off to learn where this planet New Namek is, and slay whatever Divine Being resides there that bestowed you this gift of yours. Consider this my blessing to you, Mortal. You are sparred from my wrath... this time." With that Amatricina simply stepped through her portal and vanished to half way across the cosmos. To consult the star charts of the Arioch for the location of the Namekian homeworld. The Demon Queen had far bigger fish to fry.
