So far Dain had been a bit bored. If he had to be honest it was to be expected. He had been hired by some rich guy to extend his influence by taking part in some martial arts tournament under his name. The fact that it was a local Earth tournament contributed nothing to the scenario, but the man had a Ruby Dain had been dying to get his hands on. So reluctantly he had agreed to participate in the tournament. It had taken all day, getting through several preliminary rounds, then the eight to semi finals. In all fairness the contestants were not all bad. Most of them actually had been well trained and some even registered a PL above two thousand. That was a lot more then the world martial arts tournaments a long time ago. In the semi final there was even a bald guy, muscular woman that registered a PL of almost ten thousand. Had he not sensed her power ahead of time, she might actually have caught him of guard and thrown him out of the right. Luckily the Saiya-Jin had power to spare and could raise his own power rather easily. He had been doing so the entire tournament, raising his strength each time it was required, just so that it was a fair fight. This way it was more about technique and he could even consider it a bit of actual presence. The evening was finally ending though and with only the final match to go, Dain was feeling a bit exited for the first time. His opponent was a true martial artist. He had watched her fights with great interest and she was on a whole different level. As he entered the arena, under loud cheering from the crowd, he did something he had not done before. With a grin on his face he clenched his fist and actually powered up. Instantly the crowd went silent as a breeze rose in the building and black KI well up from Dain like a nitrogen mist. “Forgive me for being bold, but I am not to hold back. From what I´ve seen you are far superior to the fighters, so I am going to enjoy this.” He said with a big grin on his face, as he watched his opponent enter the ring. He had to admit she was a good looking girl, although he had to admit he always had a thing for female martial warriors. Something about their feistiness appealed to the Saiya-Jin nature in him. It caused his tail to wiggle for a moment. As soon as the bell rang Dain burst into action. From his black KI a perfect clone sprung too life and he raised his hand into the air. Black lightning shot upwards, formed a black thunder cloud and released a thunder bolt towards his foe. “By the way, my name is Dain Sincara, nice to meet you.” He said with a smile, yet his eyes spoke seriousness as he lowered his hand and snapped his fingers, signaling his clone to attack. Without any delay the clone shot forward, throwing in quick succession two attacks towards it´s target. From his left he threw a black KI-Blast, crackling with lighting, while from the right he shot a bolt of pure Lightning towards her. Comon, show me what you got. Dain thought to himself as he watched, anticipating a fun fight.

As the tournament Asuka was feeling fairly confident about her odds, she was taking down her opponents with ease which is a usual feat for a two time champion like herself. And now closing in on her third Asuka seemed really eager about her chances. As her name was called to enter into the Arena she noticed her opponent a rather scruffy looking older gentlemen who seemed to be giving her some kind of a look, that quite honestly bothered her a tad. “Why is he staring at me like that.” A self-conscious blush cross the warriors face, her modest attire was never really quite revealing and while the girl had a rather athletic figure it wasn't sure something that could be seen simply through her clothes, but as if things couldn't get any creepier. His tail began to wiggled as he leered at her a telling sign of his "opinions" on Asuka. “Eww...this old man is so gross.” she then stops and looks to her opponent taking another close look at his tail something that traumatized her a tad, for the last time she had fought against someone like him things didn’t end well for the young girl. “I hope he doesn’t go all great ape on me…” she thought to herself. But now wasn't the time for fear the young warrior stowed her reservations and then bowed towards her Saiyan opponent. "I'm Asuka, Atsuki Asuka, pleased to meet you as well." she said in a chipper voice as she bowed to her opponent. But after pleasantries had been explained she suddenly she felt his energy surge through the floor. “Tch what power...but I’m not scared of him. This what Tetsudo style Martial arts is all about, I'll show him the why the Shouten State is stronger than any super Saiyan!” Asuka eyes then began to glow a bright white as she entered the Shouten state. But just as she had readied herself so had he. Spawning a clone of some sort, Asuka spotted this and considered her options. “This will be a hard fight, but I won't give up.” As she saw the clone charged toward her Asuka dodged its initial attack using her vanishing technique but was unable to witness his follow up attack as it flew by her, and slammed into her shoulder however and after bracing through the damage the youth appear before the clone. Smashing her fist into his jaw. “I can’t believe I have to break this out so early on.” As the clone is launched into the air, she vanishin in front of it and envelop it in wrappings only to violently turn him downward, pulling him down in a spiral fashion. "Tetsudo Style Martial Arts: Offensive Mummification Technique: Spiral Bullet." As the two would spiral into the ground Asuka would utilize her special vanishing technique in order to avoid the impact of the attack. She would land nearby, assuming a combat stance and awaiting her foe’s next move, however she’d feel a sting as the burn from her enemies attack had burned a hole in her left sleeve, leaving a searing wound on her shoulder. Dain had to admit he was surprised by the magnificent attack that the girl displayed. Rarely had he witnessed such a devastating technique. Of course there was the clone and then there was him. Albeit the attack was strong enough to dissolve his clone, Dain appeared unharmed from the crater he just formed with his body. At the moment of impact he instinctively released a blast of energy, shielding him from the actual impact. “That is not bad actually.” The Saiya-Jin said with a grin as he climbed out of the crater unharmed. Luckily the arena was rather large, two hundred feet in every direction, plus a modern forcefield around it. It somehow allowed air to get in and dust to get out, but completely absorbed the impact energy of his crash. Now it was his turn again though and he cracked his neck to indicate he was about ready to fight back. “Okay let me turn up the heat a little bit.” Dain said with a grin as he tapped into a bit more of his vast power, causing the black KI mist around him to increase in density. “What is an incredible fighter like you doing in a back water tournament like this?” He asked, just before he dashed towards her and drew his sword. As he drew his sword, he fluidly continued the motion and turned it into a slash, releasing a wind slash towards his opponent. Before reaching her he had already sheathed it again and released a finger bolt from his right index finger, aiming at her right shoulder. The main attack though came as a misdirection, as just as he was about to reach her, he extended his right hand and aimed for her chest. One thing many people forgot about electricity and the users is that there is potentially a much more deadly use. If his hand would reach her, he would simply absorb as much energy as he could, potentially disturbing her ability to move. As a bounty hunter he had often used this technique, simply place a finger on his opponents heart and sap the lightning, causing instant heart failure.

With the clone out of the way Asuka seemed to potentially make things somewhat easier for herself, however seeing the man emerge from the rubble, made Asuka uneasy, and when he fired off his retaliation shot, the youth could only brace herself for impact, lifting her arms as she was knocked back his furious counter-attack, half of her gi was shredded in the process, but the bandaged warrior continued to fight on. “What a counter...attack...he’s really strong...I don’t think I’ve ever fought anyone like him before...If I don't do something...”
As her foe continued with his onslaught of attacks Asuka's body reacted to the danger that was present and her ki began to explode from her body, seeping through her bandages, the Shouten Hado had emerged, her heartbeat had escalated to a grand degree, but even with this newfound power the youth needed to remain focused. The emboldened fighter kept her eyes focused on her foe and in doing so noticed the quick jerking motion of his wrist pulling against the hilt of his blade to unsheath it. She anticipated some sort of slashing attack and upon seeing the black lightning used her vanishing technique to instantaneously move out of the way. She looked back and saw it crash and crackle around the force field. She then looked back at her foe and felt something pierce her wounded shoulder. “Daargh!” she shouted. She turned back around and then noticed a strange projection coming toward her was that a hand?” She managed to avoid the attack by stepping around it. And could feel her heartbeat escalating as she held onto her shoulder. Her eyes continuing their white glow. “Dain-san with all due respect,can we just...focus on the match…”
Asuka took her hand away from her shoulder blood began to seep down it, she cringed in pain however she soldiered on, charging toward her foe and utilizing her vanishing technique in order to deliver a powerful kick to the back of her opponents head. “You really don´t want me to focus on the battle, Asuka.” Dain said with a grin as he withdrew, showing the sparks around his fingers. “Also so you don´t get the wrong idea, the attack you just dodged was aimed to simply stop your heart, not cop a feel.” Dain said as he cracked his neck. He had been doing some damage, but all in all he was really amazed by the girls technique. It was pretty flawless and if she would have had the strength to back it up, he would have been in serious trouble. “Just so you know, I am not even at twenty percent of my maximum strength and that is without even having transformed. So you really don´t want me to get serious miss Asuka.” Dain said with a confident grin, just as she used a technique to vanish for a second. After having withnessed Legume´s time skip though, it did not catch him by surprise as much as it should. Perhaps the advantage of having 1400 years of combat experience was that he had seen most techniques. The display of Asuka was once again flawless though and nearly caught him of guard. Just in the nick of time he managed to twist his weight slightly and turn a bit, so she hit him in the neck, rather then the back of the head. There was a loud sound as he foot hit, yet Dain barely moved his head. Instead he just smiled at her. The second kick came out of nowhere though and as the Saiya-Jin was struck again, he felt his head move sideways under the force. “That is an interesting technique.” Dain replied as he vanished for a moment, only to appear several meters away from her, casually cracking his neck. A little stream of blood ran from the corner of his mouth, but he wiped it off quickly. “Now allow me to treat you to my special attack.” Dain said as the grin faded and he began to growl, summoning almost all the energy he could muster. Raising his hands as if he was about to charge a spirit bomb, he began firing countless blast of energy into the sky, where they bounced of the forcefield and began forming dark thunder clouds. Within a second the dark clouds filled the entire sky of the arena and darkness began to fall over both combatants, as the ceiling light could no longer reach them. “Dance of Thunder!” He said as he lowered his arms and snapped his fingers. For a moment nothing happened and then the black clouds released their deadly charge. Lightning bolt after lightning bolt began to strike down, covering the area in a blinding bright light, followed by the sound of thunder as they hit the ground. Using his affinity for the element though he guided several straight towards Asuke.

With her foe hardly phased by her attack, Asuka needed to devise a strategy quickly. But as the youth got lost in her thoughts, the quiet murmuring of a storm brewing pierced her ears as the sounds of thunder grew louder within the clouds. This disturbance prompted the young girl to raise her head where the youth noticed lightning forming in the clouds above. "That storm looks pretty bad...I wonder if they'll have to call off the fight?" The youth wondered. But as the lightning struck the ground creating a massive crater in the floor below, Asuka knew this was no act of the Kai's. The thunderstorm shook the ground and shatter the forcefield that protected the audience from the brutality of the competitors, they began to roar and cheer at the sight of the spectacle but at this point, poor Asuka was way in over her head. "Sheesh, this is just a portion of his ability!?" She said as she attempted to dodge the strikes as they collided with the floor. As the storm continued Asuka did her best to move out of the way of each bolt but eventually one was moving too fast for her to dodge and all the girl could do was raise her hands. And as the sizzling hot plasma impacted with her arms Asuka was knocked back by the catastrophic force her arms singed from the impact of its hot surface. “So him trying to stop my heart with lightning is supposed to make me feel better about him not being a pervert? What is wrong with this guy? I wonder if he's one of those drunken masters I hear about?” Down but not out a wounded, winded and nearly washed out Asuka stood up from the blow being rallied on by the crowd. She looked out toward her powerful opponent and still continued to fight, her heartbeat racing from all the adrenaline her body is being forced to produce in order to keep her standing. But even as thunder and lighting clashed throughout the battlefield Asuka pressed on charging toward her foe once again, using her special technique to vanish into thin air smashed her opponent in the back of the head. Should it land she would then follow up by vanishing once again and smashing her palm right into his abdominal region. The girl was weak but she wasn't going down without a fight. “Ah my bad, that is actually my doing.” Dain said with a grin, just before Asuka seemed to notice it as well. He actually felt kind of bad for the girl. Even if he held back his true strength, he still had over a thousand years of combat experience in his favor. Dain had to comment her though, she was still hanging in there and her technique was flawless. Rarely had he seen a vanishing technique performed so smoothly and executed that well. Still he had seen the technique now and knew what to expect. “Asuka, you are fighting too directly.” Dain said as he closed his eyes, just as he felt her vanish and looked for the electrical current in her body. As expected it appeared behind him again and this time he was prepared. “Your technique is fantastic, but if you keep repeating the same attack, I can easily find a flaw in it.” Dain said seriously, even with a friendly smile, as he simply vanished for a moment, before reappearing in exactly the same spot, giving the illusion that her kick went straight through her head. Still the Saiya-Jin liked the young fighter. She was tenacious, stubborn and did not know when to give up. A part of him wished he throw the match, as she deserved it much more then he did. All he was doing was a job, he felt bad for withholding victory from a promising martial artist. He was however bound by the contract and his own pride though. “Come on! You can do better then that!” Dain said as she appeared in front of him and trusted her palm in his abdominal area. It stung a bit as her hand pushed inside his abdominal muscles, leaving an imprint behind and she even managed to push him back slightly. The look on his face did not change though. “Where is that strength you displayed earlier? That devastating attack. Is that what your instincts are telling you? That you can beat me with punches?” He asked as he began to walk forwards. Without further warning he jumped suddenly backwards to increase the distance and allow him to build up speed as he dashed forward. Within a moment he closed the distance, but just as he was about to strike, he vanished, leaving an after image, only to reappear a moment later in the same spot. Without a shred of remorse he began to pummel at her, aiming to bury her defenses under a flurry of punches, before finishing the combo with an uppercut.

Asuka felt his words cut deep, being taunted as the fight came to an end. The youth felt belittled and this loss only made her feel worse. It would appear she had a lot to learn but even though the battle was over, Asuka would use this loss to further her training. And while not outwardly showing it she took this defeat hard. She witnessed his attacks come toward her with the first strike knocking her back and blurring her vision. Yet she stood her ground. “I’m still standing, I won’t fall.” She said defiantly. and as the second attack came her way she raised her palms but Daine punched right through it, blood would seep from her lip, but still she stood up yet again. “Earthlings don’t give up so easily...Saiyan.”and when the final blow landed. Asuka tumbled back losing feeling in her legs.
“I...ughh…”As her back hit the canvas her Shouten ki died out and her body went limp as she fell into unconsciousness. She had fought hard but alas she had been exhausted of her energy and out of power.And defeat had stung Asuka would keep her chin up in defeat and return to fight another day. With a new perspective and even a new set of skills, though unfortunately for Dain she'll be leaving with a relatively low opinion of him. Dain Sincara BATTLE TRACKERSUMMARY

Before Asuka could hit the ground, Dain moved in, catching her gently with his arm under her back. Silly girl, you talk so big before you hit the ground… Dain thought gently as he held her, waiting for the referee to complete the countdown. He had to admit he liked her spirit, even when sorely outclassed she stood her ground and never wavered. Had it not been for him, she could have easily taken the tournament. She was by far the strongest human he had encountered in centuries, perhaps even after the legendary Krillin and Yamcha. Those two warriors of legend had the strength to go toe to toe with him, even if they were only playing around. “You will get there little Asuka…” Dain said with an unusual warm tone in his voice as he looked upon her peaceful, yet prideful face, as he reached inside his pocket. From it he drew a little green bean and gently placed it into her mouth. The Saiya-Jin always carried one of the senzu beans with him and within moments he watched as the magical effect took their effect. “You are a great fighter Asuka, however you lack practical experience and a guiding thought behind your actions.” Dain said friendly as he helped her on her feet and then removed his arm, as soon as she could support her own weight. “I believe once you overcome that flaw, you will become a warrior unrivaled in the universe.” For a moment there was only silence and then he decided to do something he had not done in a while. Silently he reached inside his pocket again, grabbed a little card and pressed it in Asuka´s hands. “Here is my card, if you ever need help or just want to train, you can reach me there. It was my honor fighting such a promising warrior from Earth, little Asuka.” Dain said friendly, perhaps even a bit endearing, before he placed two fingers on his forehead and vanished. He had finished his job and he had other things to do. If he was correct there was a job about slaying some kind of winged monkey in the East Quadrant that had been tormenting a village.
