Upon being given the word to leave. Asuka does as she's told and she and Zam head off, however, worried that the Majin might be shaken by the death of Captain Kay she stops off to order her a pizza. Ordering Zam's favorite. "Go on, pick out whatever you like." Asuka's kindness came as a sudden shift to the sternness she had displayed earlier. As the voracious Majin eats her pie Asuka looks to her briefly with a rather somber expression. “She seems unphased by everything. I'm not too sure she's aware of what happened.” but rather than spoil her moment with a tale that might in one ear and out the other she figured she'd wait until Zam asked her about it. When the time was right. Still, she had no clue how she was going to go about doing so. LATER that night the duo came home both eagerly greeted by Shin'yuu Asuka dog who looks like she hadn't seen them in ages but then again he was always like that. Asuka knelt down and petted the little Shiba-Inu. “Hey Boy…” Asuka then went into a pantry and pulled out some dog food filling up his bowl and pouring out some water for him as well. She then left a light on for him and headed upstairs. “I'm going to get some rest. You should too Zammy-chan. Asuka petted Zam on the head, ruffling her hair and then headed up to her room to get some sleep. And while the stress of the day made getting to sleep a more arduous process than normal, after about an hour or so Asuka managed to get adequate rest. However, her morning would not be so smooth as she was interrupted by a phone call. Hearing the loud ringing noise Asuka headed down the stairs toward the sound of the noise picking up the phone only to hear Detective Darui's voice and the busy sounds of the office workers in the background. “Hello…? Is this the White Family residence.”“It is...this is Asuka speaking.”“Just the woman I wanted to talk too...have you seen the news?” Detective Darui asks his voice less hearty and much more solemn in tone. “Detective Darui, I thought that was you and no I haven't…”“Turn on your TV.” Detective Darui asks. Asuka the grabs the remote sitting on the island counter in the center of the kitchen. Upon turning on TV the television a news anchor can be seen delivering the news of Captain Kay's death. “Today the East City police force honors Captain Kay a member of the EOR defense force who was the head of the planets SHINE force, a division dedicated to ensuring the protection of the people of Earth from the intergalactic drug trade that runs rampant in the north quadrant. It was said that…”The reporter continues to talk about the details leading up to the Captains demise. Asuka the hangs her head. “I'm sorry…” Asuka remarks in a heartfelt tone. “The department is holding a memorial service to honor him tomorrow. I was wondering if you were interested in attending.”“I'll be there.” Asuka says, somewhat choked up. “Come dressed in black...it starts at 11 AM Tomorrow. Thanks.”“Of course…” Asuka replies. Asuka hangs up the phone and lets out a heavy sigh. The television then begins going into further detail on the death of the Captain, which Asuka continues to watch. LATER STILL Asuka finishes making breakfast and leaves the plate on the table only to call out to Zam. “Zam I made you breakfast. The shop is closed for today. So enjoy yourself okay I'm going out for a moment.” Asuka the exits the shop leaving behind a plate of fried eggs and extra bacon on the counter along with a glass of orange juice the food was nice and hot. However before leaving the house, Asuka had failed to turn off the television and the news report continued on repeat, with the headlines "Department in mourning at the death of beloved Police Captain." Showing several different officers speaking out about what the captain had meant to everyone in the department with even a small snippet of an emotionally stone-faced Officer doing his best to keep his composure. "The Captains Death is a big hit to the department and he will be missed dearly." "His death was the result of a rogue agent "Arcann Roth." who is said to have handed the Captain over to the white dragon Clan members aboard the Capital Space Station, that orbits the Earth's atmosphere, he is currently awaiting trail." They then show an image of Arcann on screen as he is held in police custody. The broadcast then continues to speak on other newsworthy events throughout the day. Majin Zam WC: 800 TWC: 12,374

Blissfully ignorant about the cold and ugly truths of life, Zam was simply happy to get pizza. Even better, she got to get her all time favorite. Grandpa only let her have this kind when she had been especially good. So she must have done everything right today! Listening to Miss Asuka all day, being a big girl at the hospital, helping the puh-leese people... Oh and punching lots of weird guys too! Yup yup, it made sense that she got a delicious reward for it. With her tummy full and mood soaring, she had no protests about going to sleep. Especially not when it was sweetened by wonderful head pats. After giving Shinny some sleep well fluffing, she headed to her room as well.
Lights out... Goodnight.
Eventually morning arrived. It always did. As the martial artist’s summoning call echoed through the silent corridors, it received just a deep rumble in response. Something shifted... Rolled onto its side actually. Incomprehensible words were grumbled, translating roughly to: five more minutes. Only the sacred scent managed to stir the ancient creature from her eternal slumber... The scent of... fresh breakfast. Golden eyes flashed open in the darkness. She... hungered!
While the television droned its sad story, the bright blur zoomed into the room. She landed right onto the couch with eggs and bacon in tow. After fiddling with the remote for several minutes, she managed to switch the channel to cartoons. Her favorite show Wyvern Orb X was about to start. In the last episode, the evil eating robot Nomm challenged the world’s greatest gluttons to a super eating tournament. Calling it the Nomm games, he threatened to eat the whole world if he won. Just reminiscing the stuff made the pink powerhouse bounce on her seat from sheer excitement. She couldn’t wait to see what would happen next! As the theme song started, she happily hummed along while munching her breakfast.

As Zam continues her show Asuka head out to a small local shop picking out clothing for herself and the young Majin. As she enters inside, she looks around at all of the robes that have been stitched together. “It’s a shame, I’m not in here for a happy reason.” she says as she heads to the counter. The older woman looks to Asuka with a polite smile. “How may I help you, what is the nature of your occasion?” Asuka goes quiet for a moment. “A funeral.” the heart of the seamstress sinks and her smile fades. “My condolences...Just one?” Asuka nods her head. “Two actually one for me and one for a child.” After the brief exchange, there is a silence as the seamstress works diligently. “The smaller one...is it for a sibling?” Asuka overheard her words and looked up at the woman. “You could say that. To be honest... I .still haven’t told her what’s going on. I don’t know how.” the seamstress continues her work stitching together the robes “Explaining death to a child Is always a hard lesson to learn… just remember to be patient with them.” Asuka nods. “Thank you…its unfortunate how these things are.” after some time had passed the seamstress had finished crafting the clothing and Asuka tries hers on. After being satisfied she pays for her things and stops by one other store and returns home. Back home where she sees Zam watching television in the kitchen. Asuka enters inside where she is greeted by Shin’yu whom she pets with her free hand. “Hey boy.” she then looks over to Zam swallowing hard, still unsure of how to explain the concept of death to the child. After a moment she stands up and looks to the young Majin. “Zam-chan, do you have a minute? There’s something very important I need to tell you, would you mind giving me the remote?” Asuka places the bag beside her on the counter. And holds out her hand waiting for the child to give her the remote, a very sorrowful look on her face. It was hard what Asuka was about to do, but the Majin had to learn eventually. Internally she dreaded the conversation but knew it had to happen, for both their sakes. Majin Zam WC: 390 TWC: 12,764

Action! Comedy! Things going boom! Zam’s favorite show had it all. She was practically mesmerized, too drawn in to even notice a small somebody vying for pats. All too soon the ending tune started playing and the narrator pondered what would happen in the next exciting episode. The Majin sighed wistfully. Why couldn’t real life be more like Wyvern Ball X? Flopping lazily onto her back, she closed her eyes and daydreamed. In her dreams she soared over the landscape, fighting off weird, dancing villains. She wanted to be a big hero too! And help a group of colorful friends blow up bad people!
However, the wistful thinking was cut short today. The little Majin rolled onto her side, staring at her friend with big, quizzical eyes. Her cheery smile immediately twisted into a petty pout. She was quick to whine and protest the request. "But but! They are gonna show reruns of the original Wyvern Ball soon!" Sure she had seen all the episodes more times than she could count, but she still wanted to watch them anyway. Because it was fun! Plus whenever adults told her they needed to talk about something very important, it was always something super boring...
Eventually though Zam relented. "Aw, fiiine..." Her arm stretched as she dropped the remote into Asuka’s lap. The martial artist now had something very rare... Erm, no, not the remote... She held the little trickster’s undivided attention. Though the pink child shifted in her seat, squirmed a bit to get comfier, she still looked up to the teen with keen curiosity. The golden eyes shined, eager to understand. Perhaps deep down she sensed that her friend had something very serious to say... After all, her senses were supernaturally sharp at times... Or maybe she could just see that her friend was being unusually serious. She was simple, not blind. Words: 315 [Total = 5456] Hanzo Medjikara

Asuka takes the remote and turns off the TV in doing so a hush comes over the room after placing it down on the table Asuka then matches Zam’s gaze. And as Zam looks to Asuka, with her undivided attention Asuka gently grabs the young Majin’s hand and looks to her with a calm but solemn look in the eye. “Well, Zam...You remember Detective Darui right? The nice man who gave you those donuts at the police station yesterday? Well...he called me this morning and asked us if we wanted to go see Mr. Foxy tomorrow at the park.” Asuka then pauses and rubs Zam’s hand, slightly hesitating. “For the last time…” Asuka then looks up at Zam making sure to speak clearly to get the message across. “This is what’s called a funeral...and here on Earth it’s how we say goodbye.” Asuka stops for a moment to let her words sink in giving the Majin the chance to process what she had just been said. Death was a difficult subject and much less to understand as a child. Asuka wasn't certain how the girl was going to react but was ready to answer any questions she may have had. Prepared to offer any form of consolation she may have needed, as she gently held the young Majin's hand. Majin Zam(WC: 227) (TWC: 12,991)

Listening closely, the little Majin nodded at the name. "Mmhm." Yes, she remembered the nice man who had given her donuts. At first her expression brightened, sparking with the same hopeful excitement that so often burned within her. Going to see Mister Foxy at the park sounded amazing. They could play tag, hide-and-seek and all other fun games! However, that spark soon died. Hearing Asuka’s grave tone wiped the smile away. The black eyes turned hollow. This funeral... Didn’t sound fun at all...
After a moment of heavy silence, Zam lifted her head and asked the most difficult question any child could ask. "Why...?" Short, simple and solemn... She was trying her best to understand. "Why do we gotta say goodbye?" For the last time meant forever and ever, she knew that much. She just couldn’t understand the reason. "Why doesn’t Mister Foxy want to see us anymore?" The last time she had seen him was back at the weird space thingy. On the screen. There had been so much red stuff... But... It was okay, right? He could just regane... regi... heal. Like she did. ...Right?
In a rare moment of clarity, the little girl tried to think for any possible reason. There were people she didn’t want to see anymore because... um... they had done bad things to her. Thus the events of the fateful day flashed through her mind. The realization stabbed deep. "Did... Did I do something wrong...?" Her voice wavered. Tears glimmered in the golden gaze. Miss Asuka had been very angry with her yesterday. Was Mister Foxy mad at her too? But but... She didn’t mean to upset anyone... It was an accident! Honest! "Cuz if I did, I’m s-sorry!" M-maybe if she said she was sorry a hundred times, then they would forgive her. And Mister Foxy would not go away. Words: 315 [Total = 5771] Hanzo Medjikara

Asuka seeing the young girls face welling with tears, causes her to hastily speak. “No….no Zam it wasn't your fault. Mr. Foxy isn't mad at you...He's...dead.” Asuka stops letting the words hang in the air for the young girl to absorb. After a slight pause, she continues “And unlike Majin's...Earthlings can't regenerate...and unfortunately, when we die, there’s no coming back.” Asuka feeling she’s being a bit harsh places a hand on the shoulder of her young friend in an effort to reassure her. “But he’s in a better place now…” Asuka looks Zam in the eyes sincerely, her pupils shook with nerves and she continues to speak. “And tomorrow everyone who loved him is going to gather around to tell Mr. Foxy just how much he meant to them…and even though we didn’t know him long we’ll be there too, to pay our respects.” Asuka tried to make the situation sound slightly less morbid by focusing on the positives but could only do so for so long, as her voice then returned to its serious but comforting tone. “So tomorrow when we go to the park to meet Mr. Darui I’m going to need you to be a good girl…okay? Can you do that for me…? It’ll be hard...and I know you’re gonna miss him...” Her voice began to break and her grip tightening. “Trust me...I know.” She too seemed to have a hard time keeping composed, heartbroken by having to tell Zam such harsh news. Asuka's eyes began to well up with tears as thoughts of her mother resurface. Her dead body on the ground, the local police taking her body away. And the trauma of seeing her laid to rest the 2 days later. “But I promise...it’ll be okay.” Asuka caresses Zam's cheek. "It just takes time...okay?" Tears begin to slip down Asuka's face as her emotions overcome her, the trauma of losing her mother and explaining such a brutal reality to the young Majin bringing her to tears. Zam’s confusion and sorrow deepened with each word. Dead. For such a short word it was really difficult. Grandpa had tried to teach her what it meant, but she still wasn’t sure she fully understood. Asuka’s explanation cut so deep that the child couldn’t even muster her usual protests. She was getting too choked up in her tears. "That’s... so unfair..." Healing was so easy. It just happened without effort. Hearing that someone couldn’t do it baffled her. But... Miss Asuka wouldn’t lie to her, so she believed it. This dying thing sounded super awful.
When it came to the martial artist’s solemn request, the childish creature lowered her gaze. Being a good girl was hard. So many rules and do not thingies to remember... But she would try her best. "I’ll be good..." For Miss Asuka. And Mister Foxy too. Unfortunately crying was contagious. As Asuka teared up, Zam’s dam broke completely. The shattered girl sniffled, sobbed and soon bawled. Streams ran down her cheeks and nose. She lunged at her friend, quivering arms reaching for a tight hug. It was fortunate the martial artist had grown so strong, because the sorrow in the squeeze was crushing... Literally. The girl’s raw strength was unreal.
Eventually though the sniffling Majin managed to let go and nod weakly. "Okay..." She wiped the tears and snot on her sleeve, but the sadness just kept flowing. Placing a hand over her aching chest, she summoned glittering sparks. But... For some reason it felt like her healing wasn’t working either... She could only hope that it would stop hurting soon. However, oftentimes the most painful lessons were the most valuable ones. This would definitely dampen her chaotic, violent impulses and keep the certain crimson-eyed monster in check. For a while at least. Words: 310 [Total = 6081] Hanzo Medjikara

As the majin wrapped her arms tightly around the girl. Asuka places a hand atop her head and cradles her so. I'm sorry Zam. I know it isn't fair and it probably hurts more than you can care to imagine, I know exactly how you feel. But death is, unfortunately, a part of life...and one day. I'll be gone too. But you have to be strong okay.” Asuka pats the small Majins head and wipes the tears from eyes, giving her a small peck on her forehead. And as Zam pulls away Asuka then reaches for her bag of goods and bring it forward, inside was a uniform more specifically a gi. It bore a close resemblance to Asuka's but was darker in color and was accompanied with a robe that was meant to be worn over it. Along with it were two letters that read "to the family of the deceased." “Here Zam in Asuka's culture its customary to wear black clothing at a funeral.” After handing the garments to the young Majin she also hands her a small envelope. “And this is called condolence money its given to the family of the deceased, we'll give this to Mister Foxy's family tomorrow.” Asuka then placed it atop the young girls lap still seeing the tears in her eyes. In an effort to cheer her up Asuka stood, only to kneel down to eye level with her friend. "I know it's a lot to take it but we can talk about it over dinner. I'll make you something my mother used to make me whenever I was upset. If you have anything to ask me or want to get anything clarified I'm here for you okay?" She gave her one last reassuring hug and then prepared to whip something up in the kitchen. After a long conversation after dinner as the night drew to a close, both Asuka and Zam returned to their rooms to sleep. The following morning the two dressed in their robes ate breakfast and prepared for the day. As they walked out the door Asuka petted Shin'yu on the head. “We'll be back later okay boy?” She then shut the door and put up a sign on the shop that read "closed." She then looked to Zam and held her hand. “Ready Zam?” As Asuka and Zam head towards the funeral they pass by a shop where a news broadcast can be seen playing out. “And in other news, A memorial for the lives of those lost in what is being dubbed the North City tragedy is being held alongside the death of Beloved Captain Osus Kay this morning after the latter was killed in action during an investigation of an intergalactic drug ring. Police from around the planet will be gathering in East City today to mourn the captain and the lives lost in the destruction of North City police are still looking for the perpetrators believed to be a majin and another alien of unknown origin." The two pass the shop by ignoring the report just before Zam's likeness flashes on screen. LATER As the duo arrives at the park a sea of officers all in black, aside from the security detail, can be seen all stand about speaking with their fellow officers some in tears others attempting to hold them back with light-hearted humor about cherished memories they shared with those they loved. The park a place of joy and merriment carried a rather somber atmosphere made even more depressing as the photograph of Captain Kay along with a framed copy of the North City flag sit on a pedestal. The North City flag meant to honor all who had passed in light of recent events, a black plaque with the words "This flag was framed in honor of those who lost their lives in the North City tragedy." As Asuka and Zam walk through the crowd out of the corner of her eye Asuka spots Captain Darui, who stands respectfully honoring the memorial from afar. She walks towards him and taps him on the shoulder. “Darui-san!” she says. Darui who seemed to be lost in thought turns upon hearing the sound of his name. “Asuka-chan, glad you could make it.” Captain Darui sighs as he looks over to the stand that holds the frames of dozens of people all of whom were killed in the north city massacre. “The Captain really was what held our department together, the galaxy lost one of it's finest yesterday. Him and his late father were two of the most kindred souls I ever had the pleasure to work with. And seeing him in action was like going back in time...And now I've lost two friends to the same demon. And that is a damn shame. Not to mention the lives lost in the destruction of North City…” Captain Darui shakes his head, he then looks to Zam and pulls out a small bar of chocolate. “But hey at least they're not all bad.” Darui says as he hands Zam candy. “You'll find that Majin and show her what for right Zam-chan?” Asuka then kneels down beside Zam. “You see Zam this is why the world needs the Z force. It's our job to stop senseless tragedies from happening. It's our job to stop bad people who do things like this.” Darui who over hears the girls talk notices the small bag Asuka brought with her and the items inside. “Asuka...is that condolence money?” Asuka hearing the Captains voice looks out in his direction. “Ah, yes its only proper, did the Captain have any family?” Captain Darui nods. “That he did. An older sister and a young brother They're over there paying their respects beside the memorial photograph.” Asuka takes Zams hand once more. “C'mon Zam, let's go give the money to Mr. Foxy's family.” As the two make their way across the park a member of the security detail noticed the Majin. He had witnessed the destruction of North City first was able to identify her as the Majin from the attack on the city. He then looks to his partner and whispers to him in order to alert another member of the security detail. “Hey...I think I see the Majin who destroyed North City. Over there look.” The security officer says gesturing his head towards Zam who stands beside Asuka. MEANWHILE Asuka and Zam make their way toward the two fox creatures a blue female fox and a red male fox. “Excuse me are you the family of the late Captain?” The two look to them both with sorrowful looks on their faces the blue fix having wet streaks in her fur her eyes filled with grief, as she nods. “Yes I'm his older sister. Kyla.” The red fox, on the other hand, seemed a tad more upset though he seemed to express his grief through anger. “I'm Kylo...please...we're just trying to grieve...Ozzy he was my older brother.” Asuka then places her hand into bag and pulls out a small envelope with the words “To the family of the deceased.” written on them in a black fint. “My sincerest condolences on behalf of my family. I was there the day your brother died. I'm sorry I could not do more.” Asuka bows before the grieving siblings. Asuka then looks to Zam gesturing for her to do the same. But just before the Majin could move a voice calls out. “Freeze!” One of the officers pulls out a gun and aims it at Zams head. “Wait...Zam what's going on!?” “Miss you are under arrest for your involvement in the attack on North City! Please come quietly…!” Asuka appalled looks to her Majin friend. “Zam is this true…?” The members of the audience gasp and clamor at the commotion. Asuka looks to her Majin friend desperate for an answer her eyes confused and her heart racing as if on the verge of breaking the weight of the disbelief that has come over her. “Cuff her…” the security detail agent says as another two member proceeds to hold her at gunpoint whilst he applies handcuffs. As much as Zam loved Earthlings, sometimes she didn’t understand them at all. Why did they have to die? Where did they go when they died? ...And what was up with the black clothes? Still, she questioned none of it. Whenever she asked difficult questions from Grandpa, he would either tell her things that went way over her head or just say that she would understand when she was older. Both were boring... Over the dinner, she tried to prod Asuka with questions that were simple to ask. Little did she know that they were hard for mortals to answer. She asked about death and this place called the Other World Grandpa had once mentioned, but the answers only left her with more questions. This Other World place though... Maybe she could find more answers there?
After a night filled with tossing and turning, the little Majin donned her depressing clothes and followed her caretaker. The funeral had a dizzying amount of people. Just trying to glance at them all was making her head spin. At least she recognized Mister Darui, the man who had shared his donuts with her. He was a nice man. Snatching the chocolate bar, she munched happily while adults talked. She did raise a curious brow at the mention of another Majin, but her mouth was too full of candy for an answer. So she just nodded.
Gulping down the treat, the curious creature followed along. Here was another thing she didn’t understand about Earthlings. Money. It was supposed to make people happy, but she wasn’t sure how exactly. What good was some paper you couldn’t even eat? Well, she kept that thought to herself while the martial artist tried to console the grieving foxes. After giving the money, she wanted to give them patpats too. Those always made her feel better and she wished to share the feeling.
Just as Zam was about to follow Asuka’s example, someone rudely interrupted the solemn moment. She looked up at the man aiming a gun at her with an annoyed pout. Neither the accusations nor questions received a response. Against all odds though, the girl didn’t struggled or resist. She simply lowered her gaze and a shadow covered her features. The cuffs clicked as they tightened around her wrists. Only when the officer went to drag her away, he realized the creature wasn’t exactly compliant. She didn’t even budge. With a slow and strained groan of metal, the cuffs broke. Ruined pieces clattered onto the ground. Deathly silence suffocated the scene.
When the girl raised her head, red embers burned within the black pools. "Mister... I don’t like you very much." The calm tone heralded a storm. Her strange energy flared into pink wisps, dancing around her frame like wild flames. Usually this would have been the part where something exploded violently. However... Asuka’s choices thus far had left a mark on the impressionable girl. "But I promised to be a good girl today. So please go away before I make you go away." She really didn’t want to break her promise, but didn’t want to follow the mean adults anywhere either.
Needless to say, the small destroyer wasn’t going to cooperate with the officers. She shook her head vehemently. "I don’t know anything about any attacks." Yet in the same breath came the confession. "I just went to North City with a nice, huge lady who promised me all the candy I wanted if I made things go boom. So we played games and ate delicious things. Honest!" Indeed, it was all true. Every horrid piece of it... Tension crackled in the air. The powder keg was only missing the infamous spark. One wrong move and... boom. Words: 635 [Total = 6716] Hanzo Medjikara

Upon hearing Zams confession. Asuka was shocked to hear her speak of such atrocities so dismissively as if it were so simple. Her casual tone made Asuka's stomach turn. She looked to the memorial flag and watched as Zam broke free of her restraints. Hearing the sinister way she addressed the officer and casually prepared to keep walking as if she'd done nothing wrong. Zam had gone too far and she knew now that she had to be one to intervene., she didn't want to but Asuka knew that it was what needed to be done. “It’s up to me.” And so Asuka walked up to the Majin looking to the police officers, holding out her hand as if to tell them to stop, urging them to calm down as their interference would only serve to further agitate the Majin “I'll handle this.” Asuka states. She then firmly grabs Zam's arm and enters into the Shouten state, And after a brief exchange between the two they both vanish. A MOMENT LATER Asuka and Zam reappear in the sky, high above in the clouds. "Zam, you're not supposed to use your powers to take things that don't belong to you especially if it involves hurting other people! We're supposed to be helping people! Like Mr. Darui and Mr. Foxy.” Asuka chided. Asuka was livid with her young friend, But set aside her emotions in an attempt to calmly hear her out in order to encourage her to turn herself in and perhaps convince her to see the error of her ways the last thing she wanted was a fight. "What were you thinking?" Asuka then loosened up her grip letting go of the Majins arm, pausing to allow Zam the opportunity to speak. Now awaiting an answer, Asuka stood before her majin friend arms crossed like a parent who had just scolded a child, a look of disappointment etched upon her face. Before the spark could land, the martial artist moved to defuse the situation. In the nick of time too. Any longer and someone would’ve certainly crossed the line. At first the little Majin resisted, struggled. Her aura flared. She didn’t want to go. However, she quickly relented. It didn’t seem like she had any choice here. As the two vanished, suspicious whispers spread among the crowd like ripples on water. Some accused them of running away... Others questioned why the young fighter would protect a murderer... Few even surmised the duo were in cahoots... Misinformation was a terrible plague that spread quickly.
Meanwhile above the clouds...
Confusion, disbelief, palpable fear... The golden gaze glistened with heavy turmoil. Zam couldn’t understand why the person she thought as her friend, the person she looked up to, was shouting at her. She recoiled defensively, hands balling into fists and power spiking into a blaze. "B-but but...!" Protests bubbled within her. She had done nothing wrong! However, the overwhelming adult aura (yes, it was totally a thing) kept the childish creature at bay. She swore she could see a flash of Grandpa standing right besides Asuka. Arms folded and wrinkly face in a deep frown, he stared her down. She had really messed up this time, hadn’t she?
By the end of the harsh chiding, the shaken child was in tears. She barely managed to stammer an answer between the sobs. "I... I was t-thinking... t-that adults don’t l-lie..." Now she wasn’t so sure. Her hands rose to rub her watering eyes, desperately trying to stop the flood. It was pointless though. "The big lady told me... t-that strong people c-can do anything... they w-want..." Of course she had believed it. Stronger people had bullied her the same way. So now that she was strong, she got to do it too. "And if I d-didn’t play her game... t-then I wouldn’t get any candy and and..." That’s finally where she broke down completely. Her explanation turned into incoherent bawling. Words: 345 [Total = 7061] Hanzo Medjikara

Asuka seeing her majin friend breakdown places a hand on the young girls shoulder. “Zammy-chan...you can't do that. There's more to life than candy, and in your pursuit of it you did a very bad thing. Just because you're strong doesn't mean you can do whatever you want." She then removes her hand from the majins shoulders and stern crosses them once more. "You have an obligation to protect people, I'm very upset with you Zam you've been a very bad girl."
Asuka swallows hard knowing that what comes next will be tough for her to say but she knows that it's what needs to be done.
“And I need you to do the right thing. Turn yourself in. I know you don't like the police but its their job and you owe it to the families of all the people you killed during your rampage. The police aren't trying to stop you from having fun, they're trying to stop you from hurting people. Just like you and me are supposed to do. They're the good guys like us.”
Asuka begins tearing up., overcome with emotions at seeing her friend walk down such a dark path but at this point she could only hope that Zam would understand.
“And I don't wanna see you turn out like a criminal, please if you won't do it for them then do it for me. I promise I'll be there for you every step of the way. But please Zam...do the right thing.”
Asuka then wipes a tear from the little Majins eye, before getting eye level with her and giving her a tight squeeze.
“I love you…”

Much too shaken to actually answer, the little Majin kept crying. She had never meant to be a bad girl. It just... happened. Candy and fun were her whole world after all. She only did like an adult told her and somehow that got her into trouble this time. None of it made any sense. Even now she wasn’t sure if she could trust Asuka. Of course she tried to listen and tried to understand. Tried her hardest. She wanted to believe her friend. But... Dark little doubts bubbled in the addled mind... Her arms rose to return the squeeze. Hugs were nice. They made the pain go away, at least a little bit.
After several minutes of sobbing, the girl finally managed to get out a weak whine. "I’m scared..." Her hold tightened as she desperately sought any kind of comfort. "I don’t want to be locked up again..." Yes, again. This wasn’t the first time she had run into trouble with the law. She knew what those puh-leese people did to others. When they caught someone, they shut them all alone in a tiny room with no food and no fun. It was the worst kind of timeout ever.
Clinging to Asuka, Zam looked up with a faint glimmer of hope. "Miss Asuka, will you come with me? And stay in the awful room too?" Unfortunately the child couldn’t understand that with her crime history, she was looking at a long and harsh sentence... No sensible judge would let an unpredictable murderer run free. Perhaps ever. Had she known that, she wouldn’t even consider. But maybe she didn’t need to know... It was a precarious moment. Would Asuka tell the cold truth? Or a comforting lie? As Asuka listens to the majins pleas, she holds her close and rubs her head. “I’m afraid I can’t go with you Zam.” She looks her young Majin friend in the eyes and clutches her. “But I promise you I will do everything in my power to make sure you are safe you understand me. I promise.” Asuka then begins to tear up as she holds her majin friend close, her voice creaking. “But you have to be a good girl and go with the police, they won’t hurt you. And i’ll visit you in that big scary cell everyday okay. And when they let you out we can get all the ice cream and candy you want. Ms. Asuka won’t let them keep you in there forever.” Asuka was promising a lot to the young girl almost the impossible. Asuka had no idea what would transpire between now and the next few weeks and given the countless lives that were lost during Zam’s rampage, It was really an open and shut case. But Asuka was confident that she could find a way to get Zam out but before the worst could transpire. But for now It was time for Zam to do the grown up thing and face the music. It was what neither girl wanted but for a crime so steep it was the price that had to be paid. "You ready...? We can go together but once they take you, you'll have to go alone. But not for long." Asuka holds her together one last time. "I think it might be time Zam." Asuka was terrified for how her Majin friend might be seen, and didn't want to let go but Asuka knew that giving her up was the right thing. She had only hoped that her Majin friend would go peacefully. Majin ZamWC: 311 TWC: 15, 617

Something shattered. When Asuka dropped the harsh truth, Zam’s hopes were crushed into countless, twinkling shards. The sound may have been entirely imaginary, but the piercing pain felt all too real. Even the hug was beginning to feel spiky. The adult she trusted and admired the most wanted to lock her away. Just like all the others. Disbelief filled her soul. Fear grew stronger. The little, red-eyed monster sitting in the darkest corner of her mind grinned.
When the martial artist suggested it was time to go, the little Majin hesitated. "I... I don’t want to..." Suddenly she broke free, pulling away from the embrace. "I don’t want to go into the scary room all alone." There wasn’t enough candy and ice cream in the world to make her change her mind. However... The tiny hands balled into trembling fists. "I’m... I’m gonna fix it. Magic can fix anything, yus..." She lifted her head and fiercely wiped the tears away. "I will fix that killed thing and then tell people I’m sorry a thousand times!" Her eyes were burning with a golden glow. "But... I will never ever go into that room again!" This vow... It filled her with determination.
Some decisions had fostered great growth...
Encouraged by the sudden idea, the stubborn creature pumped her fists and blew a whistle of steam. She wasn’t sure how she would do it, or where to even begin, but she earnestly believed it was possible. Her lip trembled briefly, but she managed to hold back the tears. This was the first one of the thousand. "I’m sorry, Miss Asuka... Please don’t be mad..." In the same breath, her pink aura flared into a dancing blaze. "...and please don’t make me break my promise." Her usual singsong voice got unusually serious. She didn’t want to hurt her best (and maybe only) friend. Unfortunately, sometimes there was no choice. Life was unfair like that. Words: 332 [Total = 7688] Hanzo Medjikara

Asuka felt the surge in the Majins energy and had realized that her words hadn’t reached her young friend at all, Asuka broke from their embrace and witnessed the little pink creatures golden eyes ablaze with fury it was hard to watch but as a defender of the Earth Asuka knew what needed to be done. She shook her head and glared toward her friend. “Zam…I don't want to fight you...” she said as she gripped her fist, her fingertips trembling with anxiousness “But I will if I must...!” Just then as she finished her sentence the youth's shouten ki surged from her body creating a blinding white light. She then begins charging toward her young Majin friend. "Alright Asuka steel yourself, you have to focus here, Zam can be a bit of a loose cannon I need to coordinate my attacks carefully and shut her down." As Asuka analyzed the Majin with her eyes she mentally devised a plan playing each different scenario in her head. "My first should be something unpredicatble no doubt Zam's seen me fight countless times and is probably expect me to use some sort of palm strike, I've got it a throw. I can make it look like a feint and then grab her when she leasts expects it." Asuka then envisions herself charging in feigning a palm strike only to grabbing the Majin by her neck and tossing her over the head causing the majin to violently spin in mid-air " Once she's out her tail spin from the throw, she'll most likely be trying to regain her bearings. That's when I'll strike with a powerful kick to the head, that'll be sure to disorient her." Asuka then envisions a tuckered out Zam looking around only for her to be bombarded by Asuka's head kick. “And for my final attack, I'll combo the head kick into a vanishing attack, getting behind her and hitting her in the neck, and if I hit the right spot, I should be able to disrupt her bodies connection to her Ki stunning her, just like I did with Yuujin-kun." She then has a final vision witnessing herself vanish behind the Majin and smash the edge of her open palm into the girls neck, causing an electrical spark throughout the girls body. "If this works properly then her body should be forced to overexert itself and maybe then I can get her to tire herself out.” Asuka then proceeds ahead with her strategy hoping that her plan works to perfection. But as she performed each strike of her calculated combination, Internally she was conflicted each blow to her friend hurt her just as much as it did Zam. But with Zam's wily nature Asuka was left with no choice. It was Asuka's job to bring Zam to justice even if neither of them liked it didn't like it. The cold wind howled... In stark contrast to the martial artist´s calculative approach, the little Majin had no clever plans for the imminent fight. Maybe she would start with a punch first. Or a stretchy kick. Some boom would be okay too. Miss Asuka was also super strong, so she didn’t worry much. "I’m not gonna hold back, you know!" Yeah, up here she could make big booms without breaking stuff. She was still hesitant to break her promise though...
Thus the faster fighter got the first move.
Naturally, the untrained and careless girl was caught completely off-guard by the sudden assault. "Eep...?!" She barely had time to squeak and flail her arms. But it was useless. The throw sent her spinning wildly, just as planned. No chance to retaliate. With such superior quickness, landing the nasty combination was effortless. Guaranteed even. Unfortunately the kick only made her head sink into her squishy body. With a pop she snapped back into shape, like the attack never even happened. Beating a Majin was not an easy task. Her bouncy body resisted all kinds of damage.
When it came to the stunning strike, however, the reaction was outright violent. A massive blast of unstable energy erupted from Zam. It clashed against the palm, nullifying majority of the impact and causing heavy recoil. Neither of them were getting out unharmed, but... One of them was rapidly regenerating... Worse yet, the blast carried a spark of malicious magic. If Asuka’s fortitude failed, she would feel crippling agony coursing through her veins and draining her stamina. Afterwards, the Majin’s frame was left crackling with leftover energy. If the foe continued to attack, hostile bolts would lash out. Then each blow would really hurt them both. As Asuka's arm collided with the hard skin of the Majin, Asuka feels a pain shoot through her hand and up her arm as Zam sends the shock wave back through Asuka’s body. "Gaah" she cries as the shock ring out across her body. The tremendous sting coupled with the heat of the lightning forces her to clutching her hand in pain. Realizing the danger presented to her and wanting to create space to give herself time to think Asuka vanished away to a safe distance. She had forgotten how unruly a Majin can be and peered out at her foe contemplating her future battle plans yet again. “This won’t be easy, Zam really packs a punch.” Asuka calming herself once more, she then placed her hand into her palm which caused the bandage to explode from her body, each bandages stacking on top of one another like bricks being laid and within a few moments beside her stood a clone who’s eyes shined just as brightly as hers and matched her appearance in shape and size. She nodded to her clone “I’ll keep this as simple as a can, my clone and I can fight her together. She can’t hold us both off.” she thinks to herself, as she looks out at the majins slowly regenerating body. “I need to plan my steps accordingly, that healing factor is no joke, I need to go for maximum damage here.” Asuka contemplated the many options afforded to her based on the situation. “I could always go for a similar tactic...” she thinks to herself.. However as the clone also examines her she contemplates the opposite outcome. “However…” Asuka then envisions Zam guarding the attack and retaliating in full force with her bright burst technique. “She might see that coming...I’ve got to stay unpredictable.” As she looks at the Majin even more she notices that her healing process is a tad labored. “And after the strike i just threw out something tells me time isn’t of the essence...If I don’t seize this chance right now I might not get it again.” Asuka then comes to a conclusion, as she and her clone take a combative stance one after another. “I’ll restrain my Ki and attack using just my fists. Maybe not the most hard hitting way to bring her down but, maybe she won’t expect it if I change my attack pattern in mid combat. Besides her neutralized state she can’t do much to physically fight back anyway.” With the wheels turning and a plan in motion, Asuka just needed to figure out how to pull it into action. “My first move can be some sort of grapple like last time, but instead of throwing her my clone would instead hold her in place.” She glances over at the clone as she takes the time to devise her strategy. Asuka then envisions her clone appearing behind Zam in order to hold her in place, it’s arms and legs partially transforming into bandages in order to restrain her. “With the clone holding her in place, I can launch my first move.” She then envisions herself launching at her foe and kicking her in the abdomen with a powerful blow. “After the first hit lands, the clone could then revert back to it’s bandage state and allow for a follow up.” As the Majin is struck the clone would disappear back into it’s bandaged state engulfing Zam. As the young Majin is trapped Asuka would then grab hold of her by reaching out and telekinetically grabbing hold of the bandage cocoon, unraveling the young girl until the tight Bandage gripped one of her arms and clutching her tight. Asuka would then Yank the girl toward her and smash her palm into the child's chest. “After that attack connects...just when she thinks it’s over I’ll send in the clone once more to deliver a clubbing blow, I'll place the clone right in her path forcing her to collide with it during her mid air tumble." Continuing her battle visions, Asuka's thought process picks up right after smashing Zam with her impactful palm strike. Where the next final phase sees Asuka’s clone reappearing at the exact spot where Zam would land holding out her elbow which Zam would crash into it. “That should just about do it, and even if she manages to break out of the combination, she won’t be able to to craft any suitable offense. I ought to be careful not hurt my hand against her skin however.” Asuka says capping off her last thoughts. The full combination, when put into practice would effectively serve to debilitate the young girl. “Now then, on me.” She says as she nods to her clone who begins phase one of her assault. Golden spirals swirled in the black pools. Poor Zam was still too dizzy to properly retaliate. She just wobbled in place, an easy target for the imminent assault. For a moment there, she could’ve sworn she was seeing double. T-two Miss Asukas...? Each attack came at such speed that they couldn’t possibly miss. However, her bouncy body withstood the merciless pummeling. Particularly the savage kick met rubbery resistance. Like hitting bubblegum. With every strike she gave back a painful jolt as well.
While small creature was busy imitating a rag doll, her ki went wild. More and more bolts gathered around her as the energy condensed. Crackling intensified. The final crash against the elbow lit the fuse. Whistling steam rustled the messy hair. She shook her head furiously. "Hnnngh... That...won’t... work!" Suddenly an enormous pink explosion briefly filled the sky with glittering light. It came out much too fast and furious to be avoided with ordinary techniques. The shock wave alone blew a round hole in the clouds below.
Once the raging blast passed, the little Majin turned her golden gaze towards the foe. With every passing second, her boundless power kept rising. Her aura was starting to dance. Stunned no more, she cocked her head. One last steam puff escaped between her lips. "Hey..." An ominous question rode the wind. "Wanna see something COOL?" Her fingers coiled in anticipation. Energy gathered in her palms. Hesitation disappeared. Words: 241 [Total = 8224] BATTLE TRACKER DEFENSE PHASE. Asuka Attack 1: Zam 50 vs Asuka 130 = Hit! 5 - 2 (Indomitable) = 3 dmg!
