UNKNOWN SECTOR - SOUTH QUADRANTThe Black Fleet vessels cruised along in tight formation. Each one was a spade-shaped war cruiser, sleek in profile, but bristling with rows of plasma cannons and missile bays. In the center of the formation was a rather large mining rig--a much slower ship needing escort. The entire cluster was flanked by smaller fighters and corvettes, which spread out in a much wider net. They acted as the eyes and ears of the expedition. Asteroids loomed in the distance, some mere specs in the distance, other gargantuan chunks looming close. Lute stood on the bridge of the Vantage, his new flagship. They were close to the enemy territory here. Dominion vessels could appear at any moment. Of course, they had taken the proper precautions necessary to ensure that they didn't run into any threats. But, there ware far too many factors that could lead to their discovery. Also, it probably didn't help that they were searching for katchin, one of the most coveted materials in the entire universe. An alert went off, the holo-display showing a 3D model of their surroundings flashing between amber and crimson. Other vessels were close. The IFF information on the ships indicated they were apart of some corporation local to the South Quadrant. As the data cycled in, Lute noticed that the corporation appeared to be apart of a larger chain owned by the Crusher Corps. It appeared Cam was buying up everything he could these days. Their probes brought the vessels into view. A mining rig twice the size of the one the Black Fleet escorted hovered over an oblong asteroid. Based on the extrapolation and signals, it appeared the thing was in full operation--mining lasers cutting into the crust and extraction modules siphoning the debris. Based on the pattern of the excavation--they had been mining for days. At least that meant that there was still katchin left--more than likely. "What should we do my lord? It looks like they're gotten to our lode before us." Lute lingered for a long minute as he contemplated the situation. He then shifted to Lord Commander Renvi--one of the senior of his Aetherguard. They were the elite of Hollow--each one a powerful wizard in their own right. "Cast the Veil of Abyss Walking on me."The Lord Commander nodded, and raised his intricately carved obsidian staff. He uttered deep guttural words as he made an incantation over Lute. A bright azure light swarmed over him for a second, then faded as the spell was finished. The effect behind it caused a sharp pang of discomfort, as Lute lungs filled with a mystical substance. It was a strange sensation, somewhere between drowning and choking.. He grimaced through it, one agonizing second at a time. The Veil of Abyss Walking was the magical solution to a vac suit. Except--far superior in many ways. The spell and binding would remain so long as Lord Commmander Renvi kept his fullest concentration. Due to Renvi's latest promotion and vow he swore, Lute very much doubted the Aetherguardsman would betray him. Even so--Lute could survive for a few minutes in space--enough to retreat to safety if he needed to. "What do you intend to do my Demon King?" Ship Captain Harvo said. He was a burly xeno with a frog face and a rotund belly. "I am going to steal the asteroid from them," Lute said, simply. "I hope to avoid military conflict if possible."Their faces were slack with confusion. "Y-You can do that?" "Watch me. Ready the nearest airlock."BATTLE TRACKERSUMMARY

This rock was boring. Why exactly was he brought here? Oh right, because he could survive indefinitely in a vacuum. He nearly forgot about that Lieutenant Kamui Solaris wondered exactly how long he would be assigned on these shitty jobs before the real action started. Backwater worlds and backwater....space rocks, seemed to be the norm for the Frost Demon these days. Of course, such assignments were shrouded in sweet words and promises of how "vital" Kamui's role in the Confederacy was. And Kamui didn't dispute it. The mining of Katchin was super important to the cause. But the Confederacy wasn't exactly short on able bodies. In fact, there were more than a dozen officers that could defend the mining site from the space pirates and raiders that loomed close to these parts. Perhaps that was it. The painful irony of a former pirate stopping pirates from raiding the facility for already mined katchin. If so, then Emperor Carambolis was truly a dick, hidden behind smiles. The Mining Center was mostly occupied by automatons, their tireless work and....lack of oxygen, made them perfect for high productivity in the field. However, there were organics among them. Some of them could survive the vacuum of space, as Kamui could, yet the majority of the small presence on the asteroid wore sealed suits. At least he was only here for a few days before another commando took charge, and Kamui could be transferred to the next planet, which would most definitely hold more..excitement. How it could hold more excitement than an Imperial military presence, no one knew. "Lord Kamui! Lord Kamui!" A Xeno soldier yelled as he ran down the hallway, banging vehemently on the door to Kamui's small, pristine, clear white cubicle office. Sighing, the Cyborg Frost Demon rose to full length, his metallic chair swishing slightly behind him as he moved to open the door. Faced with a rather young looking Brench soldier, Kamui's harsh, scarred metallic face stared straight into his eyes. "What is it, Private?" Kamui inquired, rather annoyed at having been disturbed. "A vessel has arrived within orbit! Perimeter Scanners identify it as an Imperial Vessel!!"Imperials? Here? Shit. Kamui hadn't been expecting an Imperial presence. However, this was an official mining operation. The Empire wouldn't exactly have cause to invade such an operation with intent to kill. At least, not yet. Nonetheless, it was something to look into. Shouldering past the Brench soldier, Kamui's metallic feet banged against the white tiling as he made his way outside. "Private, do me a favor and establish a link with the Omnipotence. Alert Emperor Carambolis to this. It may be nothing, or it may be something. I'd much rather be safe than sorry, in order to avoid another incident. I will meet with our lovely Imperial friends." Kamui instructed as he headed towards the nearest exit seal. The energy he was feeling was something else, alright. He wasn't sure who it was, but the numbers flashing across his built in detection system was insane. A power level of above one million? And...it seemed to be descending towards the surface. "Tsk...." Kamui grunted as he felt his own energy levels rising, a teal colored aura enveloping him as his energy slowly increased to one hundred percent maximum output. "My lord...what are you doing?" One Xeno called to him. "You know...when people flashing numbers like that descend upon a random asteroid in space, it isn't to ask for directions." Kamui grunted out, as his aura hardened around him, weaving itself within the very metallic armor in which he dared call his skin. Lute shot through space, clouds of floating debris parting and dissolving as he passed. From a distance, his form looked like a twinkling purple star shooting cross the midnight curtain of space. The asteroid loomed closer, it's sheer girth becoming more evident. It wasn't a small hunk of space rock, perspective had proved tricky. Lute wasn't often intimidated, but he realized as he got closer that it was more akin to pushing a continent around than a mountain. Still, he was confident that he had enough power to accomplish the task. It wasn't often he got to let loose like this, and really test his limit. More often than not, he was holding back a little--to avoid as much collateral damage as possible. Out here in the black--that didn't matter nearly as much. He curved around the asteroid and swept back behind it--so he could move it towards his own fleet. Upon impact his fiery aura shredded layers of rock away and carved out an enormous crater big enough to fit a city into it. Veiled inside a cloud of dust and debris, the Demon King surged forward with both hands and began to push the asteroid. At first, nothing happened. It was kind of silly looking. A great tail of ki vented behind him, lashing outward like a solar flare on the surface of a star. Second by second, his momentum and kinetic energy increased until he had "picked up" the asteroid and started to move it. Inches grew to feet, and then to entire miles. BATTLE TRACKERSUMMARY

When he saw shooting stars, he didn't quite expect them to be capable of moving so quickly, and at angles.
He figured he had more time. But it seemed as if the figure that boasted the largest power level had done one of two things. First, he either didn't notice Kamui's presence amongst the masses of organics present on the asteroid mining station, or didn't care. Nonetheless, the figure skirted around the floating asteroid, only to latch upon it from the back. From there, using what could be considered tremendous force, augmented with his fiery Ki Aura, it didn't take long for the asteroid to begin hurtling towards the Imperial Fleet.
"Sir! Sir! We're being attracted towards the Imperials!"
"You're joking...." Kamui muttered as the asteroid gradually picked up speed, moving from a few inches per minute, to hurtling through the vacuum of space, covering miles by the minute...and slowly accelerating. Even from here, Kamui could feel Lute's demonic energy...it was drawing from him...sapping him. He had never felt such a powerful aura....it was even more potent then Amatricina's. But he couldn't allow himself to be distracted by such a fact. He had to stay on task.
So it seemed as if the Empire wanted this asteroid too? And apparently the presence of the Kabochan Confederacy didn't exactly mean much to them either. Very well then. He just had to get the asteroid away from them.
A teal aura swiftly enveloped the individual, spiritual energy filling his body, empowering him. With a loud grunt, the cyborg Changeling went flying away from the asteroid, leaving the rest of the space station in the dust.
As Lute had swerved around the asteroid to push it forward from the back, Kamui did the same, but from the opposite direction. Racing ahead of the fast moving asteroid, Kamui shot back towards it, his cybernetic arms and legs crashing into the side of the asteroid first, his aura exploding outwards as a crater formed upon impact. His aura exploding outwards as an opposing force. Gradually, the asteroid slowed its' approach to the Imperial ships.
The fight over the asteroid became quite literal, as Kamui and Lute were in a rather interesting feud over the black space rock. Both forces pushing against each other with extreme force. A modified version of Tug O' War perhaps?

Lute felt resistance from an asteroid--in zero gravity. Which made no sense. He wasn't an expert in physics, but he had come to understand enough to realize there was no friction in an empty vacuum. Things were able to move freely and even kept their inertia. It's why planets didn't stop rotating their stars. So, what was going on?He reached out with his senses--and detected another power level. It was a considerable one. He frowned. Things were never easy. One of the Crusher Corps stronger officers were here no doubt. Lute had been hoping that none of them aboard the mining ship were strong enough to offer resistance. This just meant he had to get his hands dirty, anyway. Lute stopped pushing and shot across the surface of the big rock at immense speeds. The landscape was a blur beneath him as he accelerated to full speed. Approaching the ki signature he held his hand out beside him and forged a long spear of ghostly purple ki. And then he vanished. When he appeared he was above his foe. For a moment he froze, as he recognized the body shape and body. He was a member of the Frieza Clan, although with some serious cybernetic augmentations. There was no air in space, therefore sound didn't carry. Using his telepathic powers, he spoke directly into his foes's mind. You made a mistake. Should have just let me take the rock.Doubling down, he launched himself at the Frieza Clansmen and attempted to impale him straight through the lower back with the tip of the ki spear. After the first thrust, he withdrew the weapon and went for a second strike, this time highe at the base of the skull. BATTLE TRACKERSUMMARY

It was easy to predict the Demon King's arrival. First of all, there was an alleviation of pressure. With the absence of friction in space, there weren't a lot of things capable of exerting pressure on an object, so Lute's sudden disappearance was like a beacon shot into the air, one that Kamui did not fail to recognize. The second indicator was Lute's aura. When you had such a dark, suffocating presence, it made it rather easy to detect. Thus, when Lute appeared behind Kamui, the cybernetic Frost Demon was prepared. At the last moment before direct contact, Kamui raised a single finger in the air, summoning a sphere of psychic energy to envelop him, the psychic energy acting as a barrier against Lute's savage blows. Upon impact, the barrier would bend and fold, as if one were punching against stretchy rubber. Not long afterwards, the barrier would bounce back into place, the psychic barrier absorbing all the kinetic force and energy from such a blow. Throughout Lute's assault, this continued, the psychic barrier bending and bouncing back into place, absorbing the kinetic energy from energy spear as it made its' impact. All the while, Kamui stood safe inside his protective bubble, sparks of energy fizzling off the psychic barrier as the last vestiges of Lute's attack were sucked into the energy sphere. His eyes riveted on Lute, Kamui's cybernetics immediately began to scan the Namekian, committing his image to memory within his computerized brain. In tandem, the Changeling redirected the psychic barrier, the bubble around him lowering and coalescing into his right hand instead. Closing on in, Kamui would place his fingers outwards, marking a spot on Lute's skin, right above the right breast, before making a light punch. At the moment of contact, Kamui would send the psychic energy, complete with the absorbed energy from Lute, outwards into pure impact force, the likes of which would act as a Kiai meant to send the Namekian flying from the combined impact force of the psychic energy being exerted outwards, as well as the absorbed energy of his own attack being reflected back upon him. However, that wasn't the only part of the attack. The psychic energy had another purpose to it. Upon sufficient contact, the psychic energy would then move to seep into the Namekian's skin, releasing itself throughout the body. From there, it would then move to attach to the muscles and restrict them from properly acting, making it harder to move and respond in accordance to attacks. When faced against a significant threat, Lute would find his body responding properly to his commands with a much greater time gap then what was considered normal, and even then, his movements would be slower. I didn't see your name on this hunk of space rock. This is wild space.The blow to the Demon King's chest had shot through his dense aura, because he allowed it. Practicing the demonic arts, he had experienced that taking a few blows really got the blood flowing. Suffering fueled his dark powers. It was a risky fighting style, but it had proven to be quite effective. Lute twirled the ghostly energy spear around in his grip and pointed its sharp tip towards his opponent. A declaration.I am Lute the Demon King of Hollow. I am no mere Imperial, rather a sworn sword to the Glorious Emperor Polaris and his First Galactic Empire.Sure, that was a bit of an understatement. Lute and Polaris had... interesting relationship that went far beyond that. The first few attacks he launched had just been to test his foe's reflexes and skill. Lute narrowed his eyes. It was fascinating to see a psycho-kinetic fighting style. He had never fought a warrior like that before, most were brute strength or raw magic. In fact, until recently the Namekian hadn't bothered training his psychic skills. Good thing he started. Being able to tap into minds as a leader made for an invaluable asset. It was a bit unfair and invasive at times. But, so was life. It also helped him ward his own mind and body against the psychic presence. And he lunged again, this time with a feint to the left. He had never figured Namekians for demons. As far as his planetary records showed, Planet Namek was a rather peaceful planet, in which most of the Namekian populace consisted of subsistence farmers, sages and the occasional warrior. Their participation in the greater galactic affairs were rare at best, to the point where most galactic armies would be considered of note to even have a single Namekian within their ranks, due to the planet's isolationist practice. So not only was there a Namekian with a power level leagues beyond the recorded average of the planet's inhabitants. But he claimed to be the Demon King of Hollow. At least he had a name to attach to the face, now, something that he could provide to Carambolis once he made his report to the Crusher Corps Commander. If he survived this ordeal after all. Deadmen couldn't tell tales, after all. Kamui hadn't expected his opponent to fall after such a small offensive, so it wasn't necessarily surprising to find his enemy still standing tall. It just meant that Kamui had to exert a bit more force upon his foe. Lute was certainly more than just a pawn to Polaris. If Kamui was any other person, he may have even found it bad luck to be faced against such a tough foe. Instead, Kamui saw it as a perfect opportunity to test his own capabilities against someone with more experience and potentially more firepower than the Changeling himself. Perhaps it was even his chance to rectify a loss against someone of lesser strength, who had managed to capitalize upon the cyborg Changeling. Once more, Lute charged at him, that rather dangerous energy spear of his once more posing a threat. The weapon had the reach and the lethality to pose quite a problem for the Frost Demon. Thus, maneuvering around it had to take some creativity. As Lute switched hands and lunged forward with the right hand, Kamui directed a finger up in the air, channeling psychic energy through his fingertip and outwards, exerting an energy force upon the spear and Lute's right hand. Seizing control for a brief second, Kamui made Lute's hand jerk suddenly to the right, making an otherwise guaranteed hit (for Kamui made no attempt to move) a wild miss as Lute's attack went too wide. A pleasure to meet you, Demon King Lute. Since you were kind enough to proceed with introductions, it is only fit I shall reciprocate. I am Kamui Solaris, Lieutenant of the Kabochan Confederacy. An honor...truly.A tactic meant to distract the Demon King, Kamui strategically answered the man as he went on with his offensive, the telepathic invasion meant to throw him off guard. The Frost Demon closed in, gently placed two fingers upon the Namekian's abdomen with next to no force behind the blow. As if he were simply touching the man. However, a moment later he exerted a rather powerful psychic force upon the man, shooting outwards from the fingertips, sending not only an outward force to blow Lute away, but sending a psychic force rippling through the Namekian's body, in an attempt to disrupt Ki flow. The burst of psychic energy was like electricity flowing through water. Lute felt his muscles seize first, the ki that laced their fibers giving way and seizing up. He visibly doubled over and gritted his teeth, showing fangs and rage. The pain subsided quickly, but Lute felt himself sliding closer to the frenzied point he sought. It was a knife-edge style of fighting. Most of his training he had learned to protect himself, to make sure he wasn't left vulnerable. This was a very different mindset and style. Still, as sooner he was able to tap into it--the better. His aura erupted outward, illuminating the space around them with its sickening black and purple glow. It peeled away rock from the surface of the asteroid, turning most of the dust on it surface into scintillating shards of glass. The Demon King hefted his energy spear up, cocked his arm and threw it like a javelin at Kamui. As it was on its way, he charged ki into his fist, causing it to ripple and pulse and vanished, appearing in front of his foe. The limb shot forward in a deft and ruthless uppercut--at near point blank range. The Demon King hoped changing up his fighting style here would prove beneficial. BATTLE TRACKERSUMMARY

Creating distance ended up saving Kamui from a worse fate.
As Lute doubled over in pain, Kamui's body flickered out of sight, the Changeling's impressive speed causing him to reappear a few meters away almost immediately after he vanished. Lute was an impressive fighter, and fighting the Namekian in too close quarters wouldn't end up in the Frost Demon's favor. Not unless he had managed to seize the upperhand, like he had before in that instance of time.
Kamui couldn't get over that aura, however. It hung in the air like a dark shroud, seeping into his very body, rooting itself in his bones. He couldn't help but to feel a bit intimidated, and his teal aura flared about himself in an attempt to ward off the cold chill than ran up and down his spine. Even with his own power level proving a match for Lute's, Lute was still able to strike fear into the Changeling.
It was a feeling unlike he had ever felt before. He had felt many things during a battle. Frustration, Pride, even fear to a degree. But this was something else. He was feeling near complete terror. The type that seeped into your very psyche. The type that made one want to run for the hills. Kamui knew this feeling was not his own, but merely an aspect of Lute's ever present aura, implanting an unsettling feeling of terror in the Changeling's mind.
He had to concentrate. He had to win.
Ever since he was a child, his movement speed had always been something to be admired, something that didn't change even in this cybernetic form he now inhabited. His capability to cover large distances in short time, and to be able to travel faster than one could follow was always a talent of his. One that he was proud of. His variation of Rapid Movement, known as Sonic Warp, was merely his speed exemplified, allowing him to blur out of sight, and reappear at a moment's notice.
Out of the blue, the man quite literally vanished from sight, his body flickering and leaving an ethereal afterimage which soon faded into nothingness. The Changeling's impressive speed only increased when he was powered up, the man proving to be a whirlwind of movement, unable to be tracked unless one's senses were truly heightened to their peak.
His body racing so quickly it could almost be seen as a form teleportation, Kamui flickered into existence right in front of Mynia, the Changeling crouched down at an angle, before shooting off the balls of his feet, launching himself near point blank into Lute, his elbow tucked and angled at a point where his elbow would directly crash into Lute's chin with crushing force.
As if on cue, psychic energy rushed through Lute's body once more, moving to disrupt his bodily functions and Ki flow. Grunting in effort, the Changeling put his hands together in one final offensive against his powerful opponent.
"KIAI!" The Frost Demon yelled vehemently.
Discharging his Ki violently from his palms, the Ki rocketed outwards in an invisible expression of force shooting forward at Lute with crushing impact force, the blast itself capable of hitting Lute in a manner similar to your normal, everyday human being hit full on by a truck. Lute's blood trickled from his mouth, forming into frozen globules in the vacuum around him. The blow to his chin had hurt, quite a bit. But, he was edging closer to that sweet spot. Where his anger and hatred burned through, and lent him strength and ferocity. Just a little bit more. He warded against the psychic assault, his mind resounding with a firm NO!But, it had proven to be a distraction as he was clipped by a wall of invisible ki force that sent him hurtling back. He hit the asteroid with cataclysmic force, cracking its surface for hundreds of miles in every direction. Great sheets of rock broke away and tumbled through space. He grunted as he peeled himself out of a Lute-sized cavity in the center and shot back into space--chasing after his foe. Kamui was fast and very clever. But, those weren't the only things you needed to win a fight. Sometimes just being more tenacious and unrelenting could seize the day. Lute had always been that way. It was just how he fought. Upon his opponent now, he hooked a leg around in a wide arc--a moon kick aimed for the head. Ki rippled from the blade of his foot like raw plasma and would erupt on impact. It was much too late to retreat now. Kamui's fighting style was a cautious one. Swift, well timed barrages paired with internal assaults meant to disrupt one's equilibrium, in order to disorient and capitalize upon his opponent's weaknesses, that only became more apparent with a bit more prompting from his psychic abilities, or his Ki Parasites, which he hadn't found an opportunity to use just yet. However, it seemed his greatest foe proved to be those capable of pushing straight through those attacks and persevering. The type to plow through onslaught upon onslaught, and still come out okay. It was a trait that the speedy Changeling didn't have, and frankly didn't want. However, it proved most annoying. It was present with Mark I, and it was present in this case as well. Once more, Lute redoubled his efforts, except this time with more vigor, more force, and more speed behind the attacks as well. Forced on the offensive, the Frost Demon was only able to dodge the moon kick through pure battle instinct alone. However, in his doing so, he opened himself up for Lute's follow up attack, and in no time the Changeling found himself reeling from the right hook that plowed into the man's center mass, the teenage Changeling's body rocketing outwards. Damn him....Kamui thought to himself as he righted himself, the blow sending him flying previously. He didn't expect such a fierce counterattack from the Namekian, and he had to admit that it hurt. But he could not allow that to disrupt him. Instead, he had to disrupt Lute. If he couldn't gain a leg over the Namekian, there would be quite a few attacks like that in the near future. Placing his hands together, Kamui closed his eyes briefly, opening his psyche to the world around him. The spiritual energy throughout the galaxy, within him, the waves of darkness practically pouring off of Lute in waves. He extended a psychic hand to that darkness. Kamui's body began to glow yellow as psychic energy overtook him and he exerted a powerful force over Lute, intent on enveloping the Namekian overlord in psychic energy, once more in an attempt to throw the man off his edge, to send his bodily systems into overload. You won't get anywhere attacking my mind. It is resolute, it is anchored by pain and it has endured worse than this, been on the verge of cracking and splintering apart.The attack pressed in and attempted to erode Lute's novice psychic defenses. It made him pause. Which was a lot, seeing as he was typically a relentless foe. One thing he did learn in his limited training is that a psychic connection was a two way street. Kamui could be reached, just as easily as he reached Lute. So, the Demon King sent his thoughts back, and in this case very vivid memories. Of suffering. Lute showed Kamui his time in the Demon Realm. The two years he spent chained and bound by magic to a pillar in the middle of a desolate wasteland. Of the creatures that nibbled on him. Of the terror and horror of slowly withering away, surrounded by a field of corpses. Kamui would feel his muscles sinking, his flesh drying. His mouth dry as a desert. He would feel time slip away, of consciousness melting into madness. Water, he would crave it. How Lute had missed it during those days. The one substance that sustained life, the one that was nowhere to be found. It never rained, not once down there. Kamui would endure a thirst unlike anything he ever experienced in his life in that memory. Meanwhile, Lute charged ki into his gullet and loosed it out of his mouth in a purple streak. The beam sizzled in towards the Frieza Clansmen. It was followed up my a veritable machine gun barrage of smaller ki bolts, each one thrumming and buzzing as they left his grip. They would explode like a flak cannon around his foe, trapping in in a series of explosions. BATTLE TRACKERSUMMARY

So, it seemed psychic attacks were no longer the way to go. It was worth a try, at least. Kamui didn't bother responding to the Namekian, the time for talk was long past, and he preferred a resolute mind, free of distractions, then risk compromising himself by discussing the weather with his opponent. As Lute suspected, psychic connections were rather risky, and Kamui had underestimated his opponent's prowess in such a craft, allowing the man easy pickings when it came to assaulting him in return. In a rush of psychic energy, Kamui found himself overwhelmed by the man's mental assault, the hypnotic illusions whisking his consciousness away into a dreamlike world of Lute's creation. It was horrific, to say the least, the depictions almost becoming real when Kamui felt his body affected by the illusionary effects, the depictions even affecting his prosthetic limbs, almost as if his lost limbs were returning to him, only for him to feel pain. Drawing on his immense mental fortitude, Kamui managed to snap out of the illusion just in time to become aware of Lute's impending Mouth Blast, too close for him to adequately dodge completely, if he were to rely on his speed alone. So, he didn't. Using Lute's massive aura as a beacon to focus on, Kamui laid two fingers on the center of his forehead, before vanishing, the Changeling utilizing the rare and ever handy Instant Transmission to faze from view, this time not through movement but through teleportation. This allowed the Changeling to both dodge the Mouth Blast, as well as the subsequent energy barrage, only appearing to Lute's left flank after the energy barrage. Vaulting forward on the offensive, the Frost Demon's body would glow yellow once again before a paralyzing force of psychic energy was imposed upon the Namekian, the Changeling being careful this time to focus on shutting down the exterior rather then invading the mind and opening himself up to reciprocation. Kamui moved to then unleash a rapid stream barrage of forceful attacks upon the man's various pressure points. The Demon King froze dead in his tracks, right in the middle of his wild barrage of ki blasts. Kamui moved in and unleashed a blisteringly fast combination of pin point strikes. They didn't hurt, but Lute knew far better than to underestimate such an assault to his person. The Frieza Clansmen had proven to be clever thus far, so that probably meant he understood the chakra points in the body and what they could do. With a surge of energy, he shattered the psychic grip and began to unleash his furious barrage of ki blasts once again. The flow of energy in his body was affected, that was for sure. He could feel himself bleeding unnecessary ki, as each point Kamui struck was busted open like a collapsing dam. He had heard of warriors who knew the right combinations and spots to pin-point to cause a warrior to bleed out or swell with ki until they lost consciousness or exploded. Such techniques always interested Lute, especially during his days as an assassin. But, he learned from countless fights that antics like that were pointless. It was far better to break your opponent before they broke you. He wondered how long it would take for Kamui to run out of gimmicks and have to fight him like a man. After his barrage was finished, the Namekian lowered his arms and waited, drifting back across the debris littered vacuum. BATTLE TRACKERSUMMARY

With his luck today, he half expected Lute's tenketsu points to be located in totally different areas then the ones he studied constantly to shut down. But thankfully, Lute had just proven to the world that he was in fact, capable of using Ki when Kamui successfully located and punctured pressure points. To him, combat involved a calm mind and moving to shut down his opponent as swiftly as possible. If an opponent proved stronger than him, or capable of outmatching him in pure combat, perhaps it was the time to weaken and batter his opponent to a level more fitting for the Changeling. Lute was one such opponent. If he allowed the Namekian too much of an opportunity, he was sure the Demon King could and would destroy him. Thus, everything that Kamui had done up to that point, and was continuing to do was in an attempt to level the playing field, or even tip the scales in his own favor. Had Kamui reverted back to the brutal method of fighting he was so fond of in the past, both him and Lute would've butted heads in a brutal show of force amongst the stars. However, pure brutal force was why he had so much cybernetic material grafted to what remained of his body. Thus, he had to adapt. Kamui's main advantage laid in his ability to tire opponents out, and outlast his foes with a combination of intense natural speed allowing him to avoid getting hit, while still conserving his own energy, and acute Ki control allowing him to release devastating attacks with little cost to himself. However, his opponent seemed to be capable of taking dozens, perhaps even hundreds, of attacks and still persevering. Eventually, one of them would hit a wall. And whoever hit it first would be the victor of this battle. It was a scary prospect. As Lute unleashed his Ki barrage upon him, Kamui found himself in a rather dangerous dance as he twisted his body at various angles to avoid the onslaught, his reactionary speed proving quite impressive in allowing himself to either dodge or deflect the Ki blasts that threatened his form. Finally, Kamui vanished from sight, relying once more upon his Sonic Warp to speed his way to what could be considered a safe distance. Upon reappearing, Lute would notice Kamui with both of his hands outstretched. Within the space of his two hands, a small, compact ball of red energy would begin to coalesce, red electricity crackling along the surface. Then suddenly, the energy sphere would bulge outwards, doubling in size, then tripling in size after that, until it had become the size of a large beach ball. Lifting the large energy ball over his head with one hand, Kamui would suddenly faze out of view, utilizing Sonic Warp once more to close the massive gap between the two combatants. Lute grunted. His leaking ki wasn't a good thing. He had unleashed a bunch of flashy and destructive attacks against a foe that had been dedicated into making this a war of attrition. If he wanted to survive this fight, he needed adapt--or run out of energy. That wasn't a good thing. Having seen Kamui wield his adept psychic powers, Lute had registered the tricks in his mind. This was his first time facing such an adroit psychic. It was a bit bewildering. Each time he thought he had the tricks figured out, Kamui would throw something else at him. This time it happened to be a big crackling crimson blast. Lute lunged into the blast head first, fist cocked. He hit it with all the force he could muster. The thing blew up violently in front of him, and he escaped through the flare and smoke left behind, wheeling around to face his foe again. Instead of launch a full force attack, he paused and glanced around him, thinking. Rock from the splintered asteroid floated everywhere--cluttering the void. Each one was a weapon to be brandished and one that wouldn't require as much energy from the Demon King to wield. Focusing his telekinetic powers, he reached out with a phantom hand and tried to grab Kamui--pinning him in place. And then with another telekinetic hand he began to flick the rocks at him. Each one was like a sabot round shot out of a tank, enough kinetic force to puncture flesh and armor with ease. BATTLE TRACKERSUMMARY

It was time to rear this battle back into control. As it stood now, his pressure point attack proved the most effective so far, the bleeding Ki seeming to halt Lute's effectiveness. At least temporarily. If he could keep this up... Well, that was the question, wasn't it? Could Kamui keep this up, or would he eventually fall before his opponent could? All the psychic prowess at Kamui's fingertips couldn't answer that question. At this rate, this battle could go either way, and that was what worried the Changeling most. The unknown nature of it all. The gray area that represented the outcome of this battle. Kamui's attack, unsurprisingly, was knocked to the side, forced to detonate in the far distance, casting a brilliant red light over the pair. He fully expected his foe to once more close in for another brutal assault. However, he didn't, and instead took a page from Kamui's book, moving to ensnare his foe and ensure that his attacks would land. Initially, it seemed to have worked, Kamui's body suddenly enveloped in a golden light as paralysis took hold, the Changeling hopelessly suspended. However, the Changeling was simply playing up to a role. Lute's telekinesis, while strong in its' own right, was not tough enough for the Frost Demon to wriggle out of. And wriggle out he did, for as the rocks shot towards him like oversized bullets, the Changeling broke free from the paralysis and responded rather quickly, directing two fingers out towards each rock as they approached, shooting a rather thin beam of energy that would implant itself within the respective rock, only for the rock to explode into tiny, harmless pellets before they would even reach Kamui. We can fight amongst ourselves for eternity, and it will not solve a thing. Demon King Lute, I implore you to surrender and retreat. Every moment you waste is another moment granted to surrounding Kabochan fleets, as they rush to assist. You will not survive, even if I cannot defeat you."Kamui placed his hands together, as if in prayer, and began concentrating, allowing his Ki to be channeled throughout his body. This time, his aura took on a more potent, demonic feel to it, chaotic red and black Ki being released from his tenketsu pores, into a visible sign of power. But do not believe I won't try. This is your last chance, Demon King! Or I will destroy you!" Kamui said telepathically as his aura shot outwards, filling space with its' potency. So much so that the mere feel of it would draw out one's exhaustion, and feel as if one was being suffocated. Lute stood resolute against Kamui's attempt to smother him with his own demonic energy. Did the Frieza Clansmen know who he was up against? Did he realize that such attempts were foolish. It seemed not. The Demon King wasn't about to yield. Not this day. He knew when to retreat, knew when to hold his chips. But, this wasn't one of those moments. He would bide his time, force his foe to waste energy attempt to beleaguered him. And then, he would move in for the kill. He just needed to get control over his bleeding energy. But, before doing that he needed to quell his foe's attempt to assert dominance over him. His own aura flared out of his body in a blinding purple flash, a stiff rebuttal that sent waves of an even darker and more corrupt essence back. Lute held firm, back straight as an arrow and one fist clenched. He focused his telepathic energies on the drifting debris and pointed with the finger of his free hand--flinging more rocks, one by one. They sped in at tumultuous speeds in an attempt to pepper Kamui full of holes. Lute barely moved as he launched them, his eyes locked on his foe, his expression twisted with fury and malice. Would his opponent's downfall prove to be due to Kamui's oppressive and ominous aura? Of course not. Would his enemy in turn waste energy to assert dominance and to ward off Kamui's effects in an attempt to prove himself superior? Most certainly so. However, little by little, his own attacks were beginning to take their toll. Kamui could feel his energy wane little by little. He could feel something similar in the Demon King, but at the same time the man was like a tank. Everytime he was knocked down, he kept getting back up and pumping out intense energy with almost no sweat at all. How much longer until Lute reached his limit? How much longer could he himself keep up the struggle. This was becoming less and less of a strategy and more and more of a gamble. He was gambling on his own opponent's reserves, yet it seemed like his opponent had enough reserves to go around several times over. When Lute would hit a wall, Kamui could only hope to assume. Hope that there was some sort of clear indicator. But more often then not, life didn't run that way. He would just have to keep fighting. As the rocks shot at him at bullet like speeds one by one, the Changeling made no move to dodge, instead allowing the rocks to come into contact with his aura, the intense Ki moving to disintegrate the rocks upon contact, acting as a shield of sorts from Lute's offensive. Outstretching one arm, Kamui's chaotic red and black aura began to coalesce in his right arm, gathering and gathering in that one focal point, the main coloration of the energy sphere shifting from red and black to a bright pink. As he was busy charging that attack, Kamui furrowed his brow in concentration, utilizing the power of telekinesis to grip two large asteroid formations (albeit smaller than the one they were fighting over) and forced them to come together, closing in on Lute from both flanks, threatening to sandwich him in the middle. With that attack serving as a distraction, Kamui allowed himself an extra moment to gather his energy, before discharging a wide and powerful pink energy wave upon his opponent. Upon contact, the energy wave would phase past Lute however. It would feel less like a solid wave of energy burning him (albeit it would burn upon contact) and more as if he were lit aflame with a flamethrower.
