A spherical rotating spaceship was flying through space heading towards Mitra. Dr. Nikolas Grey watched in awe at this magnificent technological fortress that was once a barren moon converted into a giant space fortress and made into the throne world of the Galactic Empire. While Abbayor is still the galactic hub of commerce and intergalactic consumerism Mitra was made the headquarters for the emperor's most powerful soldiers the Ultramarines and where the emperor himself stayed. Makes sense for such an important figure to stay at a more well guarded area especially one as heavily fortified as this. Of course getting here wasn't easy cause it took them a while for this ship from Abbayor to Mitra since this martian spaceship is actually a much older model. Thankfully cause of Dr. Grey's chance meeting with Lilith Nevermore he managed to get a recommendation by her for an audience with the emperor himself as a position to be a scientist, and since they would no doubt no of his arrival before hand they will not have to worry about any Imperial Patrol interference or any-
Just then a booming nervous face yelled over the comm-ink.
"ATTENTION UNIDENTIFIED SPACECRAFT! THIS IS A SECURE RESTRICTED AREA! YOU ARE FLYING TOO CLOSE TO MITRA! IDENTIFY YOURSELVES OR BE BLOWN OUT OF THE SKY!" an Imperial Patrolman yelled.
Morton, Dr. Grey's martian assistant, was absolutely terrified at this announcement and freaking out. Dr. Grey on the other hand sighs and just calmly walks over the comm-link to talk with the man while trying to keep his calm.
"Uh hello there I am Dr. Nikolas Grey from Earth. I believe a Lillith Nevermore sent a message to Legume himself that I would be arriving to meet with him so that I can request to serve under him. I am sure if you would talk with the emperor himself he would tell you that-"
"WE ARE IN THE MIDDLE OF A WAR WITH THE SAIYAN DOMINION! WE ARE ALWAYS ON HIGH ALERT TO DEFEND THE EMPEROR AT ALL COSTS AND YOU EXPECT ME TO BELIEVE THE KING IS WANTING TO MEET WITH YOU! SOME HACK DOCTOR FROM EARTH I DON'T HAVE ANY TIME FOR WHATEVER SHIT YOU WANT TO PULL TURN YOUR ASS AROUND OR WILL BLAST THAT SPACESHIP AND YOU INTO DUST!" the Imperial Patrolman yelled out.
This Imperial Patrolman in question suffers from a severe case of post traumatic stress disorder. It was during a battle against the Saiyan Dominion and of course they still managed to win and the Saiyans retreated, but the Imperial Patrol still lost a lot of men and one being this particular patrolman's best friend. He been on edge ever since and is paranoid that sooner or later Mitra might get attacked by the Saiyan Dominion. Or even worse Abbayor where his family is. Dr. Grey is of course annoyed with this man and how loud and obnoxious he is. But he breathes in and out a few times to regain his composure to speak again.
"I can assure you the emperor should've received a magic messenger cat Lillith sent with a scroll to him and if you ask him he would tell you." Dr. Grey responded.
The Imperial Patrolman then goes silent for a few seconds and then simply responds with "...what?"
"I know it sounds crazy but I saw it with my own eyes. I didn't even know she was an actual witch at first, but that's besides the point! The point is the emperor should be expecting me and I would kindly ask you to give me the right of way and let me pass." Dr. Grey responded.
"Man I don't know what kind of substance you are on but if you expect me to believe that story you must be too out of it to see straight. Go back to Space Vegas and go gamble your money away and stop wasting time with this elaborate prank call!" the Imperial Patrolman retorted."
"Trust me I been to Space Vegas and it was...an experience. But I can assure you that I am not intoxicated or insane and that I am not leaving until you let me through." Dr. Grey

The Emperor of the Galaxy
Oh boy, another day, another meeting with some of the most random and weird people in the Galaxy. The years of political alliance building and backroom deals which marked his life before the establishment of the First Galactic Empire had reasonably prepared Polaris for dealing with this, but despite that, the Frost Demon still felt like the types of people he has been recruiting as his allies has grown weirder and weirder. He's making deals with demons, magicians and building himself an army of Frieza clones, and that's just the most important of the alliances he has made.
And today is marked by one more - this time by recommendation from one of his subordinates, and that subordinate was Lilith Nevermore, one of the Empire's most competent mages and his personal advisor and supporter in that field. A few weeks ago, the Earthling witch sent him a note informing him that she has recruited a mutated Earthling by the name of Doctor Nikolas Grey and he should be coming to visit sometime soon to iron out the contract and similar negotiations. So that's what the Emperor was waiting for, sitting in his throne in the largest room in his palace, awaiting any news from the outside. Even though he could be doing a million better and more important things right now.
Suddenly, the hologram projector at the side of the room flashed to life and the body of a female Frost Demon formed on the red carpet in front of the throne. 1-CE, Polaris's personal servant and an artificial intelligence responsible for the operation of all of Mitra's networks and computers.
"I'm sorry if I might have interrupted you, Your Majesty, but there's some commotion happening in the planet's airspace which you might be interested in." the artificial intelligence explained, her holographic hands held behind her back as always.
Polaris raised his eyebrow. Oh, thank goodness, finally some activity. "What's happening out there, Ice?"
1-CE paused for a few seconds, her network processing the information and preparing an answer. "A ship is requesting permission to land in the Spaceport and the Patrolman intern got into a verbal scuffle with them. Neither side wishes to back down."
"Who is the head of the ship's crew?"
1-CE stopped for a few seconds, processing the recorded video call between the Imperial Patrolman and the pilot of the incoming spaceship, before she continued yet again:
"The pilot of the spaceship has introduced himself as Dr. Nikolas Grey, Your Majesty."
Thank you.
"Let him through and tell him to come here." Polaris spoke without hesitation. 1-CE raised her eyebrow and asked:
"Let him through and tell him to come here?"
"Ice, your recording software can perfectly perceive words spoken at frequencies even bats couldn't hear. You heard what I said."
"I know, I know. It's just that you normal creatures repeat the statement if you didn't understand the reasoning behind it, so I figured I'd try the same thing."
The video feed of the angry Imperial Patrolman which Doctor Grey's spaceship received from Mitra's spaceport would suddenly, without any prior warning, rupture and vanish for a few seconds before being replaced with the smiling bright face of a Frost Demon female.
"Nice to meet you, Doctor Nikolas Grey of Earth, and welcome to Mitra, the Throneworld of the First Galactic Empire. I am sorry for the previous miscommunication, the issue has been resolved. You may continue and land in the planet's spaceport without inhibition - Emperor Polaris I has requested that you immediately make your way to the Palace and meet him there. Enjoy your stay!"

The Imperial Patrolman then found his communications cut off by the emperor's personal AI assistant 1-CE. He was upset that he would have to let the Earthling pass but it's not like he has any say in the matter. He shouldn't upset the king by stating his opinion. The king has other things he needs to be focusing on. After all it won't bring his friend back who died on Tech-Tech. Those damn crazy monkies, but Polaris is at least happy that Tech Tech decided to join the Galactic Empire after that disaster. After the female Frost Demon told them they were clear for landing Dr. Grey found Morton and put him back in the pilot seat to bring the ship to Mitra. Morton hesitantly does so and slowly goes to the spaceport and true to the female Frost Demon's word they land safely there with no guns or anything pointed towards them. The door opens and a ramp comes out for Dr. Grey to step out of. "Okay Nick I am gonna stay here in the ship." Morton said. "Now now Morton you are coming with me. It would be rude not to introduce my assistant to Emperor Polaris." Dr. Grey said. "Oh geez Nick I don't know about that after that witch woman I am not really feeling like meeting more Empire people you know. Like I dunno but like I am getting pretty anxious just being here so I can just being here. Are you sure joining the empire is a good idea I mean we can still go join one of the other factions." Morton said. "It's far too late to turn back down Morton. We have no other option but to go forward with this. Now calm your tentacles or what ever it is you call your sensitive body parts and follow me." Dr. Grey responded. Dr. Grey then made his way to the palace with a reluctant Morton trailing behind with his tentacles. As they made their way to the palace Dr. Grey stopped to admire the architecture before knocking on the door waiting for a response. He brought with him an extensive resume of all of the degrees in the many fields of science he has obtained and also his past job experiences with Capsule Corp, and it's rival company Parasol Inc. He left out having had worked for Neo Red Ribbon cause he didn't want to put something that blatantly put out that he worked for a terrorist organization on it. The Emperor of the Galaxy
As the Doctor and his Martian assistant made their way across the surface of Mitra, occasionally admiring the architecture as they came closer to the Palace, a few of the installations attached to the walls of the buildings and structures they walked past flashed a few times, scanning the biological and internal structure of the two new arrivals, transmitting all the received information directly to 1-CE's processing strewn across the planet. The information received was... interesting, to say the least. Much like the artificial intelligence initially presumed, Nikolas Grey was an Earthling, however, his DNA was a complete mess, a mishmash of various modificiations and mutations which only made one wonder how such a person would even stand in front of them right now. It was basically a living, walking, talking tumor, wasn't it? The small creature next to it was a lot more simple to digest - it was just a Martian, an inhabitant of the planet closest to Earth in their star system. At least the genetic information of the two beings confirmed the Doctor's story of being from Earth, even if it was still really, really weird.
As soon as the duo approached the massive front doors of the Imperial Palace, with two Ultramarines standing on each side, the doors suddenly began to open without any input from either the soldiers nor the Doctor and his assistant. It was, once again, 1-CE fondling with the mechanics of her planet-sized body. The inside of the Palace was eerily quiet and surprisingly somewhat empty, if you ignore the beautiful decor and the collections of precious paintings put up across the walls for any visitor to lock their eyes at. Every single door inside was closed - and while there was no navigator to guide Grey and his assistant across the Palace, what 1-CE decided to do was to guide them simply through opening specific doors to lead them closer towards the Emperor. If they were as smart as they claimed to be, they would realized that there is something in control of everything on the planet and it was opening doors to guide them towards where they're supposed to go.
The last door to open was a fancy double door leading to a long hall with red carpet leading up to a gilded throne, a single Frost Demon waiting on the seat. Usually, the Emperor's Throne Room would not be as empty as it is now - however, today was a slow day, not much was currently going on, so there was only Polaris inside.
The Emperor would remain on his seat, looking down on Dr. Grey and his assistant for a few seconds before speaking:
"Introduce yourself in detail, Doctor. Who are you, what can you do and what brought you here."
Sure, the man had a CV with him, but Polaris was more interested in a conversation than reading a bunch of papers about what testing the scientist did on lab rats or whatever.

Grey certainly knew a thing or two about artificial intelligence so of course he recognized the doors opening on their own guiding them to the emperor being opened by an artificial intelligence. In fact that female Frost Demon early had a voice that seemed more digital and too perfect to be an actual voice so that must be the AI in question. In fact all of Mitra could be run by this AI, he is interested in learning more about it at another time. He of course noticed the flashing scanners on the sides of the walls. At first he thought they were to detect weapons or something, but then realized they could read the mutations of Dr. Grey's body. That would require some explanation. "You of course already know my name Emperor Polaris so there's no need to introduce myself. The person next to me however is a Martian from the planet Mars. I call him Morton but it's an acronym to shorten his real name because it's far too long. I come from Earth and I simply wish to join the Galactic Empire to expand my knowledge and learn even more about the universe that I don't already know. I have mastered many fields of Earthly science. Chemistry, technology, biology, and many others. I have created many different devices and am also able to create clones as well. And if you're wanting something more in the weapon's department." Dr. Grey said. He then reached into one of the pockets of his lab coat and got out a small device that projects a hologram showing a digital demonstration of some of his weapons. "First I made an actual working Freeze Ray. By manipulating moisture in the air to freeze things on contact. Second of course the Ring Laser. A binding energy ring made to be able to even hold down strong adversaries. Both can be very useful to subdue your enemies and also for the Imperial Patrol to catch any miscreants or lawbreakers. But if you want something more interesting or out there." Dr. Grey pushed a button on the projector and it showed a strange meteorite. It seems to have eyes inside it. "This meteorite gives out a strange energy. It appears to be alive as well. Made out of many micro-organisms compiled together. Seemingly inorganic and rocky but alive. I have likened it to be similar to coral from Earth. I have done much research from the books I rented from the library at Abbayor and I found no information at all detailing information on this meteorite. As far as I know I discovered something entirely new. The reason I didn't bring it here is because it's energy has some odd effects on inorganic beings. It gave me various mutations to my genetic structure and aged me backwards. So I built a device to be able to securely contain the meteorite for study." Dr. Grey explained. He then changed the hologram of the spaceship he came in. "This was Morton's spaceship, he crash landed onto Earth long ago and was in suspended animation until I found him. It took me about a year to repair for it be able to work again. That is how I was able to come here to be meeting with you now. So I can very well be able to adapt to learn the inner workings of your alien technology. In fact I noticed that this entire planet is run by an artificial intelligence. Probably is the one who ran those scanners too and most likely noticed the abnormalities of my body. I can assure you I am as healthy as they come." Dr. Grey said. He then politely waited for Polaris response. Word Count: 621 Total Word Count: 1,740 Legume

The Emperor of the Galaxy
The first thing to note about Doctor Nikolas Grey is that, to put it bluntly like a some sort of commoner, this was a very wordy guy. The Earthling doctor took Polaris's request to introduce himself in detail as an offer to begin saying paragraph after paragraph about his minion, all the inventions he has brought here to introduce to the Emperor and all the information about how he is a mutant, he knows that he has been scanned and that there is no reason to worry about his health despite his unnatural appearance. Okay, okay, we get it. He's enthusiastic.
Not necessarily the best trait to have for a subordinate - overly enthusiastic soldiers or subjects tend to either turn towards unwanted radicalism to maintain their enthusion or become outright disillusioned with the workings of the society around them and turn against it completely. However, Doctor Grey over here seemed innocent enough to not be too suspicious. He seemed to only care about technological advancement and learning more about alien societies, and as long as he paid his dues to the First Galactic Empire, Polaris could tolerate that goal of his. After all, the Empire also holds high ranking officers who seek to destroy all the gods or something similar, this is nothing in comparison.
With his head leaning on his right hand, Polaris sat and listened to the Earthling doctor explaining himself and finally stop, awaiting an answer. The Frost Demon waited for a few seconds, however, spending this time formulating an answer in his mind. Despite the unnecessary length, Nikolas Grey at least was concise enough to state both why he was here and what he can bring to the First Galactic Empire.
"Alright, thank you for your answer, Doctor." Polaris finally made an answer, rising from his hand, though still remaining on his throne. "I have a few questions to ask you, however."
Well, less of questions and more like requests, to be fair. Or demands. The second one was a demand, for sure. The first could be interpreted as a question, although someone with a sharp enough mind could tell that it was also a request.
Aaand Polaris was spending a bit too much time thinking over what he hasn't even said yet. What else can he do, it's a bad habit of his.
"First of all, I understand that you seem to be a man of all trades when it comes to science, but I have to ask - how proficient are you at genetic engineering, more specifically. If possible, there is an ongoing project which I might be interested in you lending your knowledge to."
This being the ongoing secret project to produce an army of Frieza clones as an elite and extremely powerful shock force for the Galactic Army. There's been some struggles recently with wiring the minds of the produced clones to complete loyalty, and if Dr. Grey could offer some advice there, that would be much appreciated. After all, Earthlings have been experts at genetic modification for many centuries, after all.
"Second of all, I would require you to make an oath of loyalty to me as your sovereign. Would I be able to expect that from you, as well as to follow it?"
Though, Dr. Grey was probably already aware that he would need to express undying loyalty to the Emperor if he wants to have a future here. Earth was definitely not isolated from information about the inner workings of the First Galactic Empire.

Dr. Grey noticed Polaris' unenthusiastic expression during his detailed explanations. He overdid it didn't he dang it he needs to learn tact. Dr. Grey isn't usually the social type which is why talking to someone in this way was very difficult for him. Which is why he was hoping this would be more of an interview type thing which is why he brought a resume. This could hurt his chances. But he asked for something that the doctor can provide. "I dabble a bit in genetic engineering. Made the odd creature here and there. I did mention I could make clones after all. If it's bio-organic weapons you need or even genetically engineered soldiers then I can assure you I am the man for the job." Dr. Grey said. And then Polaris asked for Dr. Grey's undying loyalty. Dr. Grey paused for a moment thinking of how to express it. "Morton, you can leave now. I need to talk with Polaris myself." Morton then did as the doctor asked. When the martian was far enough away out the door the doctor was giving off sinister vibes that Polaris would be able to feel since he is able to sense Ki. The doctor then turned with a calm face and demeanor. "I can assure you Emperor Polaris that I will be loyal no matter what. You could burn Earth to the ground or destroy the entire human race and I wouldn't even flinch. They already gave me all that I could give. And I have no doubts that you are not are only capable of doing that but would probably do so. I read up on you Polaris, how many senators were conveniently missing during the voting to give you majority control, how no sightings of any Saiyan Domnion ships were shown during the day the Galactic King died, I am not like the ignorant masses I was able to figure it out simply using logic and thinking of how so much you benefited from this." Dr. Grey said. After he was finished he gave a toothy grin that would make crocodiles flinch. "Now I know you can kill me without a second thought and are probably thinking about doing so right now, but I can assure you I am not trying to blackmail you. I didn't even wrote what I figured out down or told Morton or anyone about what I figured out. In fact I respect what you did because instead of using brute force to get to the top like the Freeza Force tried to many times and failed doing so you made yourself a hero to the people and won your way to the top with power and wit to match. I admire you for you great power and your interesting biology, but I admire intelligence above all else and if anything someone who was able to fool so much of the universe earns my utter most respect. You are definitely a more deserving king then the last one." Dr. Grey said. Through his words, facial expressions, body language, and even his aura Polaris would read that every word Dr. Grey said was genuine. He is not just being a kiss up or anything he truly respects Polaris as a person and his species as well. After all it was two certain events on Earth that caused Dr. Grey's descent to his obsession with aliens that were caused by none other then two Frost Demon lords of the Freeza Force Lord Snow and Lord Glacio. With Lord Snow's genetically engineered plant monster he used to attack West City and Lord Glacio leaving Central City as a crater both events left an impression on the "good" doctor. And Polaris himself is the one who managed to kill Lord Glacio which goes to show Dr. Grey how big of a deal this Frost Demon is when compared to the others. The Emperor of the Galaxy
...
...What is this guy on about now?
There's got to be something weird about this doctor, because more than one thing was genuinely puzzling Polaris here. Sure, he knows all about the nefarious ways Polaris went through to get into the position he is now, including the fact that he was the one who eliminated the Galactic King - fine, that's understandable, it's probably less of a secret on Earth than it is among the inhabitants of the First Galactic Empire, Polaris can live with that. But why in your right mind would you ever consider to reveal that right in the middle of swearing an oath of loyalty to the Emperor you are about to serve?
Sure, you could make the case that Earthlings such as himself don't have as much of an idea of how tyrannical rulers across this Galaxy can be. Their nation is a free state, a constitutional monarchy. so they might not even imagine the idea of, say, getting executed for speaking out against their leader in front of him. Which Polaris could definitely do and was certainly considering to, much like Dr. Grey imagined himself. But that wouldn't make sense. The Doctor was clearly not your average Earthling. He knew what he was signing up for. He knows Polaris's true nature, after all. So why would he compromise his chances of getting accepted like that?
Only the gods would know the answer to that. And even then, that might not be the case anyway. Polaris was sure that if he asked, say, Xell about it, he'd be just as puzzled.
Anyway.
Dr. Grey may have done the unthinkable and presented himself as a potential threat to the regime, but his portfolio seemed to be more or less perfect otherwise. And while Polaris was far from a trustful person, he could tell that Dr. Grey was a person with a one track mind. He cared about tinkering, knowledge and learning more about aliens, interfering in galactic politics or putting his knowledge to use one way or another didn't seem like him. That was the impression which Polaris got after the Doctor introduced himself to him and explained himself and his goals.
Sure, let's accept him. We'll put him under somewhat higher surveillance than normal and make sure he always has a some sort of job so he doesn't trail off to any other faction, but leave him to his own devices otherwise. The Frost Demon gave a soft nod and spoke:
"That sounds fair. Well, there is little else I can request now tat you gave such an extensive answer. I'll have 1-CE deal with your official paperwork, you can consider yourself to be an official member of the First Galactic Empire from now on. Or, more specifically, our Science and Research Development Division."
There was one more thing to check out on before they call call it quits, however.
"I can tell that you've done your research on me and my nation beforehand, but if there is something you would like to ask me, don't hesitate."

Doctor Grey knew the risks of telling Polaris this. There were many reasons he did so, one was to show his intelligence. While it could be argued an idiotic move to some Dr. Grey figured from Lilith Nevermore that the empire is full of such people and had a hunch that some of them also already knew about Polaris' true nature. So Doctor Grey shown his true colors in hopes of showing how well he would fit in this empire. But also if the emperor truly does need someone like him he would be hesitant on killing him right away. When Emperor Polaris told him he was an official member of the now he knelt down on one knee. "I am thankful for your acceptance Polaris and I do have something to ask. You see I am the type of scientist who likes to do experiments that others would say are unethical. But I feel that morals need to be ignored in order to advance further when it comes to progress. Risks need to be taken in order to obtain more data. But you are one to seem to understand that the universe is more gray then black and white. So I wanted to know if you would be okay with looking the other way while I did such experiments. Now I am not asking for any soldiers or anything as guinea pigs although if you do have a few corpses from battles lying around I would be very interested in dissecting them." Dr. Grey said. As he was talking about the dissecting he began breaking in a sweat and his eyes widened and he got out a handkerchief out of his pocket to wipe it off. "Sorry for getting too excited there and overstepping my boundaries. That was probably too much to ask out of you. If you still want me to go by the book when it comes to how you do Science in the empire I understand. After all an emperor must uphold the rules of his empire. I apologize for making such a request." Dr. Grey said. As he said his apology he bowed his head down and his two hands on the ground. It was as if he became a completely different person. But his apology is certainly genuine and Polaris would definitely sense the fear he now has. Although at this point Polaris probably figured out there is something wrong with this doctor's mind. So Doctor Grey internally curses in his thoughts thinking he just screwed himself over. Word Count: 424 Total Word Count: 2,815 Legume

The Emperor of the Galaxy
After the somewhat uneasy discussion on the Doctor's questionable loyalty which nevertheless ended in his favor, the mutated Earthling moved on to other matters, and much like Polaris hoped, he did have an interesting question to put on the table. This being his interest in something which a lot of scientists are associated with nowadays, unethical human experiments and whether Polaris would give him the green light on that.
Right, this is one of those things which would draw a scientist to the First Galactic Empire instead of, say, Earth. The Kingdom of Earth has laws regarding human experimentation and fairly harsh punishment for caught offenders, this drawing from the horrifying experience of Doctor Gero's unethical human experiments on kidnapped twins to create the perfect symbiosis of human and machina. You can't deny that his work was successful and paved new ground in bioengineering and genetic engineering - perhaps even too successful, knowing what happened to him later - but once it came to light, it also shocked Earth society enough that real experimentation laws were soon enacted by the Earthling parliament.
The First Galactic Empire, obviously, also has laws on ethical research and experimentation, many of them drawing from the tenets of Galactic Law - but what it also had was an absolute monarch unimpeded by any limits, either constitutional or moral, who could freely disregard any of the laws of his nation if he believed that it would leave him in a better position. Not that Polaris ever really respected Galactic Law in the first place, even while he was still a lowly Patrolman. You don't build a reasonable power base and a business empire standing on illicit wealth while following any laws, after all.
As such, Polaris's answer to this question was clear from the very beginning.
"I'm going to answer you simply, Doctor. What I desire from you or from any other scientist in the Research Division is tangible results achieved with the most effective use of resources and funding available. Everything else is up to you to decide. If you believe that dissecting prisoners of war, dead or alive, is going to give you important insight in whatever project you are working on, then do not hesitate and do what you think is necessary.
Unless you are interested in asking anything else, then I believe we are done here, correct?"

Dr. Grey then raised his head up with a smile on his face upon the news that Polaris would let such experiments slide. "I am truly honored Emperor Polaris that you would let me work unhindered and don't worry about the alive ones I prefer dissecting dead specimen, but if I would like to run some less dangerous tests on some of your most powerful enforcers. Just collecting combat data, testing how much gravity they can withstand, the limits of their special abilities if they have any, and a bit of DNA for study. I like to think of those as...very special physical exams." Dr. Grey said. When it comes to testing on alien species and creatures Dr. Grey is more reluctant to do any experiments that he feels would ruin their already marvelous physiology. He is willing to at least dissect dead corpses of aliens at least so he can be able to learn more about how alien organs work. Would certainly help him be able to create cloned organs for transplant in case any soldiers need it or creating new lifeforms with alien DNA. Luckily if he ever does have that itch he still has the DNA samples of the many human subjects he experimented on back on Earth with which he can clone copies of them to continue further experimentation and testing. Speaking of which, that reminds him of something crucial. "Speaking of unethical experiments another reason I left Earth is because I temporarily worked for a human terrorist group on Earth called the Neo Red Ribbon Army and the Earth military came to my doorstep. So they view me as a criminal, I apologize for not bringing this up earlier but if I am gonna work here I should not keep any secrets from you Emperor Polaris. I could work in the empire under an alias, but they never did meet me in person they only met and killed my clone. I could construct a fabricated sob story that I was forced to work for the Neo Red Ribbon Army and that a clone of me I made rebelled me and went mad to paint myself as a victim. Humans are usually gullible for such creation overthrows their creator stories." Dr. Grey said. He began sweating again, that news probably did not make Polaris happy. Especially if he brought it up so late instead of starting out with it. He needed to say something to lighten to blow. "Oh and one more thing Emperor Polaris, I am not a general or anything but I have a strategical idea you might find interesting. You see Mars was once a thriving planet before a war between the Martians left the planet barren and they were forced to live underground. Earth prefers to stay away from Mars after a failed colonization of it caused the humans to retreat and they had to sign a treaty promising that they would stay away from Mars so any knowledge about what goes on there on Earth and other planets is none and it is thought to just be a dead rock. I have been working on a way to terraform Mars and make it lively again by melting the polar ice caps of Mars, if I could do that and we were to make a pact with the Martians they would join the Galactic Empire no questions asked. Cause of Mars closeness to Earth it could provide a tactical advantage to launch a surprise attack from if you ever decided to take over Earth. And if the Earth Kingdom base on Venus were to be taken over by some of your other forces then Mars and Venus could launch a pincer attack on Earth making taking over the planet so much easier." Dr. Grey said. He is not sure if Polaris is interested in taking over Earth but he hopes so. Not just because the strategy would please him if taking over Earth is his goals, but he believes that Earth would be much better in Polaris' hands. If they became a part of the Galactic Empire then Earth could finally advance instead of being stuck in such a stagnated state for so long. And perhaps any human prisoners of wars or unwilling human participants he can experiment on and make them more suitable. He is getting goosebumps just thinking of all modifications he make to the human genome with alien DNA. Word Count: 741 Total Word Count: 3,556 Legume

The Emperor of the Galaxy
Ohh no, apparently Doctor Grey still had something to ask. This time, the topic of the conversation revolved around one of the planets near Earth in the same star system, Mars, which, if Polaris recalled correctly, was also the planet from which the Doctor's assistant came from. He explained the geopolitical situation down there, Mars's apparent neutrality and resistance to Earth and the possibility of bringing the planet in the fold of the First Galactic Empire with little difficulty. While that was certainly an interesting idea, especially since it came from a scientist who himself explained that he was no expert in geopolitics, Polaris didn't really find much interest in throwing a glove to Earth, which the annexation of Mars would certainly be interpreted as.
The war against the Dominion was far from a one sided affair, and Earth's neutrality in this conflict was already tenuous, fostered by their desire to profit from both sides as well as internal political chaos, but if they were to mobilize and join the Saiyan side in the conflict, it might just be enough to turn the tide not in the Empire's favor. As such, it would be best to not trigger a harsh Earthling response for the time being.
"You can deal with the problem of the Earthlings trying to hunt you down your own way, it's your problem and you are the one who comes up with a solution to it." Polaris spoke, responding to Dr. Grey's first point about being a fugitive and thus potentially compromising his position in the First Galactic Empire. If he allowed Lute to join the ranks of the Imperial Patrol, then one more useful fugitive won't hurt. "As for annexing Mars... It is an idea, but it is not in the interest of the First Galactic Empire to strain our relations with the Kingdom of Earth any further. Our main priority right now is defeating the Saiyan Dominion, only after that it dealt with can we turn our eyes towards Earth and the rest of the Galaxy."

When told that he would have to handle the problem with the Earthlings he was relieved that he did not anger Polaris with that statement. But still wanted Grey to handle the problem and not have Polaris hold his hand. Understandable, the emperor is far too busy to be able to help the scientists in the empire. They should be helping him and achieve his goals. Plus with the doctor's IQ he should be able to handle the situation himself. "You're right, I shall make a public statement announcing me as an official member while using the story that I was forced to work for the Neo Red Ribbon Army and my clone betrayed me. And that I escaped from my imprisonment and used the spaceship to get away along with a Martian prisoner that I befriended, and that I left Earth out of fear that my reputation would be forever stained by my clone so I left Earth to find a new start with the Galactic Empire. If Earth does have any problems once the news reaches them or any suspicions they would probably think twice about doing so. Cause that means they would have to bring that up with you and that could put themselves into a corner. I'll be sure to add how merciful and generous you were to hear my story and let become an official member of the Galactic Empire when I had no one else to turn to." Doctor Grey said. After saying that Polaris then mentioned that Earth must remain neutral at the moment and they most focus all efforts on the Saiyan Dominion. Makes sense since the Saiyan Dominion is a huge threat. Dr. Grey respects them for their biology and great power as well, but find their barbaric love for battle to be a major hindrance. Sure they have been shown to be resourceful and able to learn how to use many hi-tech equipment such as spaceships or scouters. But when compared to the cunning of the Frost Demons there is no contest over which is smarter. And Polaris is one who doesn't let the power go to his head like Freeza of the past has and be complacent and let his soldiers do most of the fighting while he himself barely lifted a finger cause he kept underestimating his enemies. Dr. Grey still has much to learn about the universe and the state that it is in. "Very well I understand. Sorry for being ignorant about the current state of inter-galactic politics. But I do hope still we can add Mars into our empire. Not to help takeover Earth, but you see they have something you maybe interested in. The weapons they developed that made their planet barren were bombs with the ability to destroy all organic matter leaving only people protected with metallic armor, robots, and other things considered inorganic to not be destroyed by the weapons. The Martians still hold those weapons and much more just in case they ever get invaded by a force that they could not beat easily, but if we come with the promise of restoring their planet and add the Martians to the Galactic Empire's ranks then those weapons could also be ours." Dr. Grey said. What he said was definitely true as Morton told him all about what happened to his once great planet. And Dr. Grey also hopes to restore this planet for the Martians sake. Even if they still are able to live and thrive in underground things are still quite miserable. Some Martians even tried to invade Earth to capture Earthlings as sustenance, but ended up getting killed by powerful Earthlings as a result and thus never went to step on Earth again. If Dr. Grey is successful he might be able to save an entire alien species from extinction. "I have nothing more to add now Emperor Polaris. I shall go gather my things and bring to my new lab which I shall be working at from now. I look forward to helping you win this war." Dr. Grey said. Dr. Grey then makes his leaves and meets with Morton along the way out to begin setting up shop at their new facility. Word Count: 705 Total Word Count: 4,261 Legume

The Emperor of the Galaxy
The last thing Dr. Grey saw important to mention before his departure which hadn't been said before was that Mars was fairly well equipped for a planet, and held an arsenal of something which sounded like biomass destroying weapons. Apparently, they usd those weapons on themselves, either accidentally or on purpose, and that's how the world ended up barren and lifeless save for a few lifeforms equipped with metallic suits. Interesting. Not something groundbreaking, simply destroying the planet would be less of a hassle, but if a planet willing to join the Empire and so close to Earth was equipped with such weapons, then that's definitely an interesting possible advantage should the Empire and the Kingdom of Earth ever come to blows.
Which they won't for a while, though, so there was little reason to worry about this. When the time for war against Earth comes, then they can start considering whether or not to reach out to the Martians and try to bring them to Polaris's fold. When you're fighting a planet which is rivaling Abbayor on establishing itself as the capital of the Galaxy, you would have to pull out all the stops. Their range of powerful martial artists is honestly intimidating, even if Polaris was sure that he could take on most of them without a problem.
Some, like Xell, would be that problem. But, again, what's the point in worrying about something which probably won't come up until years after we're talking?
With his last words said, Dr. Grey requested his leave, content with the answers he has received from the Emperor and resolved to serve the Empire from non on. Still sitting in his throne, Polaris nodded and followed the departing scientist with his eyes.
"I hope to see great things come from your laboratory, Doctor." the Emperor spoke as a last goodbye. "It's rare for a scientist to seek the approval of the Emperor himself, and those who do have much, much greater expectations to fulfill than their peers."
