Amatricina's endless quest to uncover the secrets behind her mystic five stared orange gem had led her to the far flung corners of the planet earth. From the frozen peaks of the Tsumisumbri Mountains to the tropical jungles of Bunbuku Island. However, no matter where she ventured her journey yielded no results. Her leads constantly came up empty, and she was left with only fakes and forgeries to be crushed by her hand, and the mortals who so foolishly led her to them were swiftly slain in cold blood. She tired of coming up empty handed, perhaps the ancient scrolls had been wrong about this planet. Perhaps it was not the origin of her relic, and did not contain its secrets. Her pride would not let her leave until she was certain so Amatricina begrudgingly marched onward with grim determination. That was, until something curious caught her senses.
The demoness felt it as she flew overhead, returning from a venture in North City that had proven fruitless, as they all had. Something gave her pause, as she detected what felt like demonic ki. But that was impossible, wasn't it? Were there other demons somewhere on this misbegotten rock of a world, living among these mortals. She had to know, even only to satisfy her own curiosity. If others of the demon races were hunting down her relics she'd slay them herself and cleave their skulls from their spines. Amatricina headed towards the city where the demonic energy was coming from. It was a modest place, situated at the edge of a forest resting along a riverbank. Idyllic, as many human cities seemed to be. Amatricina landed with graceful impact on a rooftop, scanning the bustling city streets below. It was close, and it was far stronger than a mortal human... though vastly weaker than herself. Good, she preferred her demons that way. Amatricina was in no mood for a challenge, not after her string of ill luck.
Like a spider in her web the demon darted gracefully down the length of the building, leaping and bounding in the alleyway between two large buildings until she came to land on the ground. She was keeping a low profile, and deigned to simply land in the middle of the busy streets and send the humans scurrying in a panic. Amatricina snapped her fingers, and her body was sheathed in a pillar of flame for but a moment. When it faded away in a cloud of cinders her demonic visage was replaced by her human guise. A tight red top, sinfully low cut and showing her bare midriff replaced her usual crimson and gold metal brassiere. The garment exposed a more than generous display of cleavage, a symptom of the fire demon's great vanity. Figure hugging black leggings covered her lower half, only further accentuating the voluptuous fire demon's curvaceous figure. Amatricina's great crown of black horns were hidden away, replaced only by a simple black headband in their place. Meanwhile her normally wild mane of ruby hair was fashioned into a long braided ponytail that trailed down to the small of her back. Her knee high armored heels exchanged for common black heels, and the normally ostentatious amount of jewelry the demoness wore was replaced by pair of simple ruby and gold earrings with matching gold bracelets on her wrists. Last, but perhaps most important, Amatricina's normally crimson gaze was exchanged for soft blue eyes. Her mortal guise complete, the demoness slipped out of the alleyway and into the bustling streets.
She had a demon to find, but the demonic ki it gave off was an easy enough calling card. Amatricina simply walked through the crowded streets through the hustle and bustle of usual weekday traffic as she homed in on her target. It was slightly irritating having to walk, and no fly, as that made this considerably slower. But it was a price willing to pay to maintain her veil of secrecy, or so Amatricina had thought. She spotted her quarrel on the opposite side of the street, the only being walking alone. Most humans gave it a wide berth, repulsed by its appearance and seemingly shielding the eyes of their children. She could see why, the demon looked mortal... from a distance, but on closer examination it appearing to be drenched to the shoulders in some kind of... secretion that seeped from its face at various points. Nonetheless Amatricina was curious, against her better judgement, and approached the being, walking casually along side it. "If that is supposed to be your mortal guise, it could do with a great deal of work." She said in a hushed voice, though still betraying her usual haughty tone. "If you haven't bothered to notice, these humans do not bleed out of their eye sockets until you strike them hard enough..."
