It's been too long.
This was the thought that kept coming back to the forefront of Ishmael's mind. It had been literal centuries since the assassin had taken a job. Nothing tricky, just fight this person until they're unresponsive and drag them back to the client or put a sword through their heart. It was a throwback to simpler, better times. Such went the carousel of his musings as he sat, crouching atop a roof in the vast city known as Space Vegas.
The city had hit the ancient man like a continuous flash-bang; lights sparkled and flashed at all hours of day and blackest night, massive billboards blared messages in blinding columns that rose into the forest of skyscrapers bristling towards the stars. A never-ending torrent of beings that quite often didn't even faintly resemble a proper human flowed in and out of the various establishments and through the streets, talking, laughing, shouting. A million different scents wafted on the breeze- alien spices, exotic foods, and some fare that hit closer to home - frying meat, alcohol, and vegetables.
Not to mention the damned thing was bigger than most of the nations he'd overthrown.
Space Vegas sprawled over miles upon square miles of land, the end of it invisible despite the massive, razor-straight streets that cut across it. Cars and hoverbikes roared their cacophonous song. Discordant music blared into the endless void, flying up as if racing the buildings to break orbit. Ships were constantly flying through the airspace, personal hovercraft and inbound freighters alike.
Despite the downpour, the city was still clogged with people. The sidewalks were actually even more congested, tourists not willing to postpone their vacation days for a little flooding and residents with pressing matters alike. Most huddled beneath umbrellas or a rainbow of ponchos in a diverse array of sizes and shapes tailored to the many different species present. Cars pressed on slowly, headlights cutting yellow swathes through the grayish dark. Even the signs kept going, oblivious or uncaring to the fact that no one could make out what they said.
Ishmael shook himself, having let his attention wander to his environment. Rather, his focus should've been on the task at hand: scanning the building across the narrow alleyway for the target.
A tip from a shady informant - some things never changed - told him the marked would be here. Ishmael thought he'd spotted them, moving past a pale yellow pane of glass in the stained glass window at the top the Museum of The Lord Satan. Perhaps, perhaps not. There were three meters of rain-soaked air and a slightly distorted pane of colored glass in the way, after all.
Ishmael produced the client's device from his cloak and clipped it over his eye, the scouter's heads-up display blinking on. They had coded it to automatically scan the area for the signature of the target. All he needed was to wait a moment to see if he'd been right.

Ras shook rivulets of rain from his hair and exhaled out his lips. This was going to be interesting. The winnings from Ras's little Battle Royale victory were gone. They were spent, as he often did, on excess. Lots of booze, lots of girls, lots of good times and laughs. In the moment, it was an exhilarating feeling. But, the day after--dread sank in. Ras had spent the majority of the day plotting how he could land his next score. The whole fighting for money thing was a fling. A thing he tried, but wouldn't go back to. It was just too risky in a way he had little control of. Plus, the amount of attention it grabbed was dizzying. People were still buying him drinks for being the Super Saiyan Slayer. Whatever that meant. He emerged from the alley and walked along the marble clad path outside of the museum. The place had an archaic look to it. Steep stone walls, daring buttresses, and immaculate stained glass windows. Each one held an artist's depiction of some ancient holy battle. Ras knew a lot about history, but not much about Earthling history. Apparently they worshiped a hero turned God named Satin. Kinda weird, as he thought it to be a type of fabric. It didn't matter, there were expensive relics inside. And he was about to steal one of them. Some sort of Champion Belt. It plagued him. Here he was, a man had everything since he was a child. Ras had grown up rich, disgustingly so. Kabocha was one of the most wealthy planets in the entire galaxy. Yet, he was about to steal a holy artifact from Earthlings to make a quick buck. There wasn't a lot of security. Kinda strange. An uncomfortable feeling ran down his spine, like he was being watched. The Royal Armament of Kabocha on his hip thrummed as his fingers curled around the corded grip. Glancing left and right, to make sure no bystander was watching, he leape top the roof in a single bound. The blade slid out of the scabbard silently as he took in hand, approaching a skylight. The weapon was sharp enough that it cut the glass with ease and precision, as if it were a laser. Ras removed the cropped section, setting it gently beside him. A shiver down his spine warned him of danger. Both of his amber irises flicked back and forth as he scanned the surrounding buildings, nooks, and crannies. There were so many lights, sounds, and people he couldn't make anything. A frown etched his face as he dropped into the museum, wanting to get this over with fast. Before landing, he formed a cushion of ki beneath his feet, barely stirring a mote of dust. Instinct took over as he assumed a fighting stance. Light peered in through the windows, but also caused the shadows to cast over atop of each other. There were pools of deep midnight all over the room. Glass cases contained an array of objects, which looked like wicked monstrosities, making his heart thunder in his chest. Fear was getting to him. He took a deep breath an exhaled in a slow methodical way. Think. Just think.Based on the map he memorized, he was in a section of the museum dedicated to Mister Satan's childhood. That meant to get to the object he wanted, he had to move to the next room over. Except, the way was barred by double reinforced doors, each one blinking with a crimson light. There was a bit of a security system here. Opening them would no doubt trigger an alarm, so he needed to be clever on how he got through. BATTLE TRACKERSUMMARY

A green circle formed on the scouter’s HUD, moving across the screen with something on the ground level of the building. A cheery confirmation signal chimed in his ear.
That’s my man.
Without hesitation, Ishmael gathered himself and sprang across the alleyway. Wind coiled around his limbs, torso, and head, whirling faster and faster until suddenly he was wrapped in several hundred pounds of katchin armor. Weapons changed into place at his belt. Two huge projections, six feet in length, sprouted from the assassin’s back as his boots hit the stained glass, shattering the window into oblivion.
The winged hussar flew in amidst a storm of multicolored shards, wings of katchin feathers spread to either side, and plummeted to the ground hard enough to crack the stone. Ishmael slowly rose to his feet. His saber slid from its sheath with a metallic hiss.
It was dark inside, even more so than the stormy outside. The room itself was filled to bursting with paraphernalia of this person - explanatory posters sprawled beside glass cases with strange items inside them. Most of them were cast in shadow too deep to make out what they were, but Ishmael was distinctly sure he'd seen a stuffed animal in one of them.
The target was the only other person in the room, poised before a locked door, appeared to have some sort of weapon sheathed by their side.
Behind the leaf-shaped faceplate of his mask, Ishmael's eyes narrowed. The target wasn't a weakling by any stretch; he was in for quite a fight.

A dazzling array of prismatic lights drew Ras's attention above. Also, a sudden and rather powerful presence as the source of the shine. He winced, rather disappointed that he had been spotted already. The security of this place had certainly been deceiving. Now he needed to make a break for it, before things got worse. Clad in some gnarly winged armor, the silent man cracked the floor with his landing. He then drew a curved sword from his side. Ras's own crescent blade was rattling in it scabbard. He drewthe Royal Armament, if only to silence its warning and kept it lowered at his side. "Caught me, I guess," Ras commented. His feet shifted with a smooth grace as he strolled across the room, passing behind a few of the displays. It was always a good idea to put obstacles between yourself and a threat. The guy didn't attack, at least not yet. He seemed to be idle, waiting for something. Big mistake. "Your boss probably won't be happy that you busted the floor."Ras pointed with his free hand at the spiderweb of cracks beneath him. Despite the dense shadow of the room, the light the armored man emitted was more than enough to bring them into illumination. A distraction. Ras swept his blade up and with it a ghostly silver line of energy shot from the edge, speeding straight for the armored man. It would easily cut through him and the wall behind him before dissipating. Ras then blinked from sight, appearing above and behind the foe. He wielded the Royal Armament much the way a lumberjack would, swinging it down with all the felling power he could muster. And then, he bolted straight for the window and smashed through it, raining stained glass across the plaza outside. People gasped and gawked. The Kabochan Prince was a mere yellow blur through the rain and haze, gone before they could catch sight with their sluggish eyes. Unfortunately, there plenty of security cameras were able to track his movements. The AI systems manning them also informed the police. BATTLE TRACKERSUMMARY

Ishmael's eyes followed the target as he sidled sideways. Each time he passed behind one of the displays, the assassin's grip on his saber tightened an infinitesimal amount- at any moment the man might take the obstacle's opportunity and escape.
The cases came and went without incident, however. Though he knew it was a trick, his eyes couldn't help but follow Ras's outstretched hand for a flicker of a moment.
"I don't work fo- "
His reflexive reply was cut off metaphorically and very nearly literally by the razor-sharp line of energy racing across the room towards him. The hussar raised a sword crackling with energy. Though he couldn't really manipulate ki as others did, the natural application of it as he cast lightning around the blade was just enough to disrupt his foe's own attack. The central section dissipated, wire-thin energy flashed through stone on either side of him like light itself.
A beat, and a bisected painting's bottok half dropped to the ground. The cut was perfectly smooth, not a single thread of the canvas out of line with the others. Ishmael was sure that the same story had invisibly repeated itself all along the wall.
No time to gawk, however. The mark was unrelenting, immediately disappearing and blitzing right behind Ishmael. The assassin grunted, barely raising his own sword in time to counter the other's crushing blow. Even as he was recovering for a lunging retort, his foe had disappeared through yet another of the windows, shards of Mr. Satan's birth showering to the cold marble.
Right on cue, the alarms flared, a high, sweeping whine. In case he didn't get the message, a squad of security guards smashed through the door, brandishing taser staffs and laser pistols and roaring at the tops of their lungs.
They seemed rather surprised by the presence of a winged hussar in their exhibit, and did little aside from stare as a powerful wind swept through the gallery. The wind intensified, growing stronger and stronger until the guards had to grip the exhibits to keep from being blown away. A massive rattling cacaphony rose, a metallic replication of the pattering rain outside, hundreds of katchin feathers catching thr draft and ricocheting off each other in their frames.
Lift. Despite the half ton of armor hanging from his limbs, Ishmael actually floated upwards, then with a final blast of wind, hurtled upwards and through the shattered window to give chase.
The sky outside was dark. The rain parted like a curtain in a channel before him, revealing the rapidly receding speck that was his target. Heedless and ignorant of the cameras swiveling in their sockets, Ishmael drew a flintlock with his free hand, leveling the mouth of the barrel and firing at Ras.

Click. The cascade of rain and glowing lights didn't make for the optimal conditions. Ras glanced back over his shoulders through the haze, the winged Hussar looking like some sort of haunting spirit chasing after him. The man had run the thief from the museum. So, why would he follow? Perhaps a strange sense of justice carried him along. Ker-pow!Ras had never heard a weapon with such thunder before that before. He was used to the fizzle and thrum of blasters or the chatter of automatic slug-throwers The musketball, infused with strange magic, clipped his brow opening up a line of crimson. "What the hell?"The rooftops of many buildings in this section were covered in private gardens and patches of greenery. The entire planet was a composite of gigantic buildings, green-ways, and even street platforms. Earthling technology was quite impressive. Ras had visited Arcose, a similar planet, only to find that it was polluted and disgusting in comparison to this place. He didn't see the koi pond as he scampered through a crowded garden, his entire left leg splashing into it up to the hip. Soaked now, he grunted with frustration and used his ki to launch himself like a missile from the rooftop. The rogue prince landed atop hover-truck carrying a cargo container, which swayed slightly from his weight. Like most of the vehicles in the city, the thing was automated so it corrected its course immedately. It wasn't even phased by his hitch-hiking, moving a hundreds of miles per hour through the winding grid of the city. Ras wanted to deter his chaser as much as he could. He guy was strong as hell, so he probably would catch up before long. The Royal Armament shimmers with sliver light as he summoned power from it. He swung it out, sending a half-moon of cutting energy. It wasn't aimed at the prismatic hussar, but rather a signal tower across from him. The cutting energy severed the support struts and the thing tilted. A tangle of wires went with it, snapping and popping from the bands that secured them to the sides of buildings. Not only would it come down on the foe with crushing weight, but also serve as an ensnaring mess of an impedance. Ras spied an automated fuel tanker a few hundred feet higher, in a different sky lane. A smirk crossed his lips as he swept his blade. A sliver flash emitted through the air and the front end of the vehicle exploded. It careened hard, black smoke rolling from it as it descended towards the fallen signal tower. It hit and the fuel inside ignited into a ginormous conflagration. Windows blew out of the various buildings surrounding. Lights and holo-advertisements flickered. Sirens began to wail. Ras sheathed his ancient weapon, thinking he was home free. BATTLE TRACKERSUMMARY

The mark was fast, nothing but a bolt of veritable lightning darting across the terraces and gardens. Ishmael gritted his teeth and forced the winds to yet greater speeds, trying to catch up.
But moving too quickly could be dangerous.
A fan of that silver energy flashed through the dark, passing through a monolithic, skeletal structure to the right. Ishmael's eyes widened as it began to topple, tons of steel falling sideways towards him. Trailing lines connected to floating advertisements and a complex network of interior support wires loosened and tangled, causing it to turn slightly to the side.
The assassin's boots dug hard into the turf, carving twin furrows through beds of flowers and hedges alike. It was too late to slow down, though, and even as he watched, a bright silver dot found its way to one of the vehicles crowding the skies. It careened into the plummeting mess of metal, and tanker and tower bloomed into a terrific fireball that faded to reveal a burning colossus falling forward. Its bones were visibly growing thinner and thinner, magnesium marrow igniting in brilliant flashes. Its single, great eye, a crimson orb of glass, trained pleadingly on Ishmael.
The first drops of molten metal began to spray around him, hissing in the puddled water and eating holes into brickwork archways. The remains of the bullet that had executed the tower hit the ground, a burned-out husk of a chassis. Somewhere in the distance, a person screamed.
Then the tower hit.
The earth reverberated with the colission, jagged pieces of white-hot metal spraying in all directions. A wall of flame rushed out in all directions as if to mock the pouring rain, searing the greenery black in a forty-foot radius around the tower. Trees were crushed sideways into so many splinters. Steam from incinerated water features was devoured by the roiling smoke, adding moisture to the cloud of soot as it poured into the sky.
This was going to be rough.
Ishmael braced himself, ducking his head behind an armored forearm and the buckler strapped to it, and shouldered his way straight into the fire.
Heat clawed its way into every crevice of his armor, painfully searing his skin and singing the hairs off of any exposed part of his body. The assassin diverted some of his energy from keeping up the wind, trusting to his already-massive momentum to get him through the debris, and began to constantly generate a thin coat of frost over himself, the only reason he wasn't roasting alive in his armor. Metal crunched against his leading side, building up quickly to a decent solid piece before breaking apart and being lost in the firestorm. Ishmael's saber darted around, slashing through any wires that might tangle him and prevent him from getting through as soon as was humanly possible.
Then he was out, cool, welcome wind rushing into his helmet. His old friend rain had returned, evaporating on his helmet and filling his field of view with a fine mist. Deciding he needed to get out of his armor, Ishmael swiftly dematerialized it, leaving himself in his refreshingly light regular outfit.
The assassin plummeted in a shallow arc over the edge of the building, hitting the top of a public transport and rolling over.
The mark was gone now, lost in the all-consuming gloom, and he needed a moment to recuperate. He dropped into an alleyway and looked at the world of spirits. The city was a river of luminescent souls, some dimmer and some brighter, but all of them relatively small in size. Weak.
On his third sweep, a squadron of police jets screamed past overhead, and a pair of helicopters descended to street level with a steady, mechanical rhythm. A pair of spotlights switched on, aimed directly at him.
"Sir, you are being arrested. Please drop your weapons or we will be forced to attack."

There was something satisfactory about the giant fireball Ras had made. But, his excitement faded when he realized that it had been a bit overkill. He hoped too many innocent folks weren't caught up in the blast. There was little he could do to justify collateral damage at that scale. Then again Ras was selfish to a fault. He would go out of his way to protect and help people, only if he benefited directly from it. That was the culture he grew up in, apart of the moral depravity that the Frieza Force and Planet Trade Organization spread into the framework of galactic culture. Kabocha had just been another cog in that machination for centuries. A police drone made a hard cut, banking through the lanes of air traffic, maneuvering jets pulsing and flaring hot. It lined up with Ras. He wasn't sure what to expect. Were they going to ask him to stand down? To turn himself in. He doubted the police could catch him. The weird prismatic hussar had a better chance at. It didn't announce anything. Instead, it blasted him with a high frequency sound-wave. Ras winced against the reverberation that washed over him. Immediately blood began to trickle from his ears as the drums were ruptured. Crouching low, he sprang from the back of the cargo-carrier and landed atop the police drone. His weight caused it to bob and sway. Wreathing his hand in raw ki, he shoved it through the armored plating, grabbing hold of the first thing he found and yanked hard, tearing out some section of its flight motor. The thing careened hard. Ras used his ki to fly away from it before all hell broke loose. It bucked not once, but twice as its engines misfired and it plummeted into another another automated cargo-carrier. More explosions ensued and Ras flew up and out of the rolling band of destruction that spread through the dense area. Other vehicles in the sky lane were affected by the concussive burst, flinging them into the sides of the buildings and causing collisions. This chain of chaos and fire spread for nearly a mile section of the sky lane. Inadvertently, if Ras's foe were close by, he would have to deal with that all of that as well.Other automated flight vehicles further away were able to adjust, changing lanes to avoid even more devastation. It had been millions of zeni worth of property damage done in the blink of the eye. Ras floated above the pillar of smoke and the flicker of flame, a grimace on his face. He crossed his arms. Blood ran down his neck from ruptured ear drums. "Fuck," he said. A piercing shrill filled his head from his damaged ears, and he couldn't even hear his own voice through it. More police drones and jets would be on their way, so he decided to instead fly up and out of the shit show. He pushed through the curtain of rain, soaked to the bone, and up out of the cloud-layer. High above the stars twinkled across the dome of black, he spied the shine from of the mesosphere luxury platforms and made his way towards it. BATTLE TRACKERSUMMARY

Ishmael stared, unblinking, into the cruisers’ harsh glare, trying to marshal his thoughts. They were a far cry from the garrisons he’d evaded in his youth, but that tone and pattern of behavior that spanned continents and ages told him that he’d just been confronted by the authorities.
Watery sheaths formed over the spotlights, the glow wavering with the fluid.
“H-hey!”
The water hardened, freezing and continuing to drop in temperature until the spotlights’ casings cracked under the expansion of the opaque blue ice. The blast of illumination was reduced to a manageable soft, azure glow.
“Stop or we will not hesitate to use force!” The megaphone blared again, the voice shaking slightly, and Ishmael made out the outlines of large steel cylinders sliding out of hatches in the sides of the dropships – missile tubes, all trained on his position.
His sword sprang from its sheath in a silvery flash, suddenly there in his hand and slanted towards the lead cruiser.
A beat.
The man on the megaphone drew a breath.
Hellish flame erupted several leagues down the road, hanging in space for a hair of a second before rushing outward. Vehicles of all manner careened into buildings, hurling shattered glass and broken bodies into open air. Cars hit each other midair, their shells fusing together into a single lump of superheated metal, and came crashing to earth alongside their brethren. Floating billboards exploded and fell as massive, smoking hulks from the skies. A chain reaction of ricocheting and destruction raced down the densely packed track like a lightning bolt.
Ishmael hurled himself sideways a split second before the burned-out chassis of a garbage truck tumbled end over end, tearing chunks from the asphalt, and crushed the right helicopter into a blackened starburst from behind. Everyone inside died instantly, flattened into a centimeter of space against the front end of the cabin before a burst of flame cleansed the tissue from their bones. A single blade sliced through the air, slashing through nothingness before burying itself into a pile of stones.
The assassin quickly sized up the situation. The target had just loosed a clear-cut trail to himself, which meant the chase was back on. All that remained was to get through the maze of flying brimstone.
He took a running start, planted a foot on the hood of the remaining helicopter, slashed through a blade, batting it upwards with a forearm, and vaulted straight over to land on another of the incoming wrecks.
With a wild, adrenaline-soaked rush, Ishmael ran against the flow of the river, sprinting along the side of a truck full of soda cans before jumping forward to the next car, rolling over the top and jumping off the end to a burning drone, leapfrogging from vehicle to vehicle and making his way towards the source. A flying car door nicked him in the shoulder with a jagged end, causing him to wince, but though the blood flowed profusely, it wasn’t a fatal injury and he pressed on.
Finally, he reached the end of the trail of destruction – a clear spot in the freeway, with a pileup of horrified onlookers across the gap. Ducking his eyes into the realm of spirits, all he saw was a crowd of weak specks, flickering with fear and excitement. His mark was not among them.
Frowning, the assassin turned his gaze to the skyline, scanning buildings and alleys. There were quite a few interesting individuals, but not a single one with the power of his target. Had he simply vanished?
Then he turned his gaze to the stars, spying a soul with power that outstripped all the rest flying towards a mammoth platform floating in the sky.
Ishmael summoned the winds, flying into the sky after him. The air felt good on his face, but he remembered just how sharp the man’s sword had been. He wasn’t taking chances.
Piece by piece, his armor formed on his body, all the while maintaining a blistering speed. The same clattering of metal feathers emerged now, an ugly noise meant to inspire terror in the enemies of the Holy Alliance, now a world apart from the one in which they had been forged. It was the sound of a bygone age, striving its utmost to do well in the modern era.
Gritting his teeth, the assassin summoned a massive cavalry lance, nearly seven meters in length, and aimed to spear Ras through the small of the back from below.

It was a hell of a lot chillier this far up in the sky. Ras's teeth chattered and he gasped in the frosty air, short for breath. There wasn't a whole lot of atmosphere to be had. Still, he pushed along through the sky with his ki, a faint white aura flaring up around him. He was half-way to the mesosphere platform when he felt the armored man's presence catching up to him. With a grimace, he whipped around only to nearly be run through by lance. It wasn't able to make purchase against him, as Ras pushed the flat of his blade with his off hand into the tip of it, sparks flying. The lance glanced hard, whipping past his head. If he hadn't been so quick, it would have surely skewered him. Persistent, aren't you?The Kabochan Prince curled his fingers around the lance and jerked hard, both trying to pull it from the Hussar's grip and also hurl himself closer. In now, the curved blade descended in a quick chop aimed at the neck, wreathed with the ghostly sliver ki he had been launching from it the entire time. Upon his foe, he launched himself up with a burst of ki from his feet and flipped around him. Behind, he took the sword in both hands and went for a single horizontal stroke from head to waist, using all the strength he could muster. BATTLE TRACKERSUMMARY

The man was nearly in reach. Ishmael could practically taste victory on his lips, straining a bit harder...
In a lightning-fast motion, the Kabochan whirled, putting a hand against the flat of the blade and levering it sideways against the lance’s iron tip. The weapon skittered sideways, missing its target and utterly useless at close range.
Surprisingly enough, Ishmael’s opponent actually reached out and grabbed the lance just behind the head, giving it a hard yank. Thought the lance dissipated into wind the moment it left the assassin’s hand, the job was done; Ras was now sailing down towards him.
He never actually saw the sword. There was just a flash, burning with silver energy, and the next thing Ishmael knew, the blade had bitten a chunk of metal from his buckler, hurling sparks into the midnight wind and jarring his arm painfully. The assassin grunted as his enemy shot upwards, turning and greeting him with a point-blank blast from his flintlock.
Whether or not that connected, he was instantly back on the defensive. Ishmael hurled a desperate left hook into the sword with his buckler as it dropped like the blade of a guillotine, deflecting it from its intended path and into a diagonal stroke that still managed to find its way into the gap between his breastplate and cuisse. Hot blood poured out, and the assassin roared in pain at the gash in his side.
He flicked his flintlock in a quick spin, holstering it by his belt, and drew his saber on the way back up. Lightning crackled in the clouds around them, then a bolt of it snaked through the air and snapped at Ras in an attempt to put him out of comission.

Ker-pow!Ras flinched as the musket ball grazed his right shoulder, splitting his jacket. Warm blood sprinkled the icy air. The Winged Hussar's buckler crashed into Ras's blade, the force of the blow driving his own arm into his gut, knocking the air from his lungs. The Kabochan Prince had sparred a thousand times in his days, in the court of the King. He had learned to fight, had excelled at it. But, this guy seemed to have been through a world more. He was strong, fast, and relentless. Wicked fingers of lighting crashed into him, seemingly from out of nowhere. Ras couldn't scream as his entire body was seized from the volts coursing through his muscles. He started to fall back down towards the metropolis below. From this high up, it looked like a grid of lights and lanes, hardly recognizable. His sight blurred. He wanted to sleep... Something stirred in him as the air whipped and roared in his ears. The will to fight, the will to win. Grimacing, he snapped the Royal Armament back up and flickered from sight in a blur of motion. He appeared again directly in front of the Winged Hussar, sword outstretched in a violent thrust. Swaying back, his bright azure aura dazzled to life around him as he shot into the sky. His fingers tightened around the weapon's leathery grip, face twisted in a grimace as he charged it the ancient weapon latent ki. It vibrated with raw power as he swung it down, sending a sliver line, a mere flit and a flash, at his foe. On impact the thread of ki would easily bisect, if his foe's guard was left down. Ras touched down on the mesosphere palace's landing platform, the eyes of bystanders glancing at him with suspicion and confusion. They were no doubt used to people flying in aircabs and other hover vehicles, not simply flying as though they were a bird. Ras gave them as shrug, reaching up to wipe the frozen blood that clung to his cheek. He was freezing. His teeth chattered as he glanced back over his shoulder to see if his foe had lent chase. The guy wasn't there and his ki signature was fading. Had those last two attacks done him in? Ras didn't know, but he somehow doubted the Winged Hussar would have been taken out that easy. Maybe he had chosen to fall back for now. Maybe his bosses were chastising him for getting in the way of the police. Ras had gotten a little carried away. It was kinda hard feeling like a bull-lizard in a glassware shop. Space Vegas was a marvel of engineering, but it was a clusterfuck. Inside, he was glad to feel warm air rush over him. It was a fancy restaurant with an ultra modern look to it, all smooth flowing lines and strange abstract decor. The bar itself was made of glass and glinting chrome. The bartender, a straight-backed android with a bowtie waved. Ras sit down. "I'll have the biggest drink you have on the menu."CURRENT PL: 66,085 (69,900) HP: 24/50 | KI: 69/115 | DEF: 125 (95) | DMG DIE: d12 | ACC: +30 Ishmael
