So. Much. Booze.
That was all Raijin wanted. He had been drinking for... Well, a few days. He thought. Currently he occupied a dimly lit, dusty old bar. Perfect. The drinks were cheap-- not that he intended to pay-- and the girls were cute. The knife-ear waved playfully at one of the waitresses, who came over to his table and brought him a large flagon of ale. Normally Rai drank hard liquor or wine. Today, he was into some really hoppy beer. Sometimes you just want a change, you know? It got boring doing the same thing day in and day out. In fact, Raijin wished he had some good company. Somebody really, really interesting with like, a weird backstory or something. Or someone who liked to start bar fights.
Or... Well, pretty much Rai was good with any type of company. He was bored! It was time to do something. The youth rose to his feet, walking over to the bartender and finishing off his beer. That was fast, huh? Had he even taken more than one huge gulp to down it? It was hard to tell. As he walked, he lit a rather fat joint. They had made it apparent that they didn't care what people did, as some strangers were snorting a strange white substance in the corner of the room. Cocaine? Crack? Not sure. The first, Rai would sample generously. The second? Not so much.
Arriving at the bar, he eyed the barkeep and slammed his empty cup down. Then, he began to speak, his voice tinged with just a hint of drunkenness:
“Listen, listen. I'm... Well, I'm bored. I want you to put some music on. Or call some more girls. Or call someone who's interesting. Or, do anything that isn't standing there and looking tough. I get it, this is a shady bar! Everyone's doing drugs and drunk and sketchy. Let's just focus on what matters, though! I'm bored. So, make something happen or I will not pay another cent at this here establishment!”
Not that he intended to pay in the first place. Thank God the universe was so big. He owed a massive tab at almost every watering hole in the galaxy at this point, yet he still managed to find new drinking spots to swindle nightly. It was nice that the people of the universe liked drinking as much as he did. However, the bartender didn't seem to happy with Rai. But, he had heard of him. The fearsome warrior who had defended Earth alongside the Saiyan Cipher against a trio of demons. The 'Hero'.
So, the bald, aged barkeep played along. Old rock music started playing in the bar, and he got on the phone. Nobody picked up, so he grinned at the Shinjin shaking his head. “No dice.” he stated, coolly. Then he poured Rai another drink. The halfling sat there, looking glum as he drank and smoked. Was tonight destined to be dull and uneventful? Filled with disappointment and failure? Raijin genuinely hoped that he would find something, or someone interesting.
This was getting old far too soon. Like Benjamin Button.

The doors of this shady little bar swung open, causing some of the patrons to look that direction. In came Sanjugo, the mask that had possession over a powerful female body. It’s appearance was definitely a sight to see: it wore a pink sweat with various dark stains and a pair of black slacks. The liquid that was flowing from its mouth is also an odd sight. The onlookers stared for a few moments more before It paused to look around the room, catching a glimpse of the lone man at the counter.
‘That guy looks interesting. Maybe he’ll be able to keep up with me!’ It thought to itself before walking over to the bar, taking the seat next to Raijin.
“Eyy, barkeep!” It exclaims in a feminine voice. “Get me the strongest alcohol ya got, and make it snappy!” Sanjugo demands of the older gentleman, soon turning it’s head to look over at the larger man. It has a big grin on its face. “You look like you’ve been here awhile. How’s the drinkin’ going, friend?” It asks before extending a hand towards the other. “Name’s Sanjugo. Nice to meet ya.” Sanjugo hopes that this guy will actually be a good sport. It’s much more fun to drink with someone else than to drink alone.

A strange demonic presence filled the room, the energy thick and malicious like a strange ichor. Rai immediately perked up, grinning from ear to ear as he noticed a masked female enter the room. The girl itself didn't seem all that special... but, that mask...
It felt living. The energy around it breathed, and Raijin was interested to say the least. Perhaps a possession from some spirit? It didn't matter to Rai, he just was happy not to be bored. She made her way over to the bar, barking orders as a strange liquid frothed from her maw.
The figure introduced itself as 'Sanjugo', extending a hand in greeting. Rai shook it vigorously, grinning from ear-to-ear.
"The name is Raijin. And yes, I have been here a while. The drinking was getting dull until a... character as unique as yourself appeared before me. It's a pleasure, Sanjugo." As he said this, the bartender pulled out a questionable bottle. It read "Olde Arcosian Moonshine". The translation? Poison. Rai's favorite kind.
Two tall glasses were poured by the bartender, who sported a wicked grin. Clearly he was trying to intoxicate the two at a rapid pace. Rai remembered the last time he drank this particular blend, remembering the potency and taste of the drink.
Raijin downed the moonshine recklessly, his stomach burning as he did. It felt like he had been resuscitated, his entire body perking up. The alcoholic beverage had floral tones hidden beneath its icy cool burn.
"Drink up, Sanjugo! To long lives, deep pockets, and the infinite pleasures of the universe! Cheers!" With that, the bartender poured a second drink for Rai, the half blood holding it up in excitement. Today was becoming more interesting very quickly.

Sanjugo was glad that he responded the way he did. This mean that it has a drinking buddy, and this makes it very happy. “You think I’M unique? Yeah right! I’ve seen more interesting creatures in my lifetime.” It remarks, watching as the bartender got the mysterious bottle out from under the counter. “You’re the unique one here. You’re actually interacting with someone who looks like this--” Sanjugo casually points to the mask, then to the old stained clothing, and then it casually pulls up it’s sweater a few inches to expose… it’s spinal cord. Yep. No meat there. “Most people would be running away from me. I’m terrifying!~” It exclaims before pulling it’s sweater back down over it’s non-existent stomach.
It watches closely as he easily downs the first glass of alcohol. “Wow. You’re pretty good!” It remarks, grabbing a hold of it’s first glass and downing it in with a few seconds. With the fact that it’s basically a corpse, and that it has no stomach… where exactly is the alcohol going? Who knows. Sanjugo might not even know.
A second glass was poured for Sanjugo as well, and when Raijin offered a toast, it happily cheered along with him before downing their second glass of strong alcohol. The strength doesn't really bother him that much. It’s had rougher stuff while down in the Demon realm. “So. Tell me about yourself, Raijin.” It watches as the bartender pours it a third glass of alcohol.

Sanjugo revealed that it was, in fact, rotting. Somehow, Rai managed to just... Brush over it. Really, he didn't find anything that surprising. The youth was too high to really care about strange things such as this. Perhaps once sobering up he would care to mull over the why, or how this being came to exist. But, for now, he assumed it was a demonic mask that could possess and animate corpses. Sounds pretty cool, actually. Rai wished he had one of his own. In fact...
He thought about taking the mask for a second. A flicker of greed filled his eyes, and he sated it with another hearty gulp of liquor. It was official. He was wasted. Belligerent. Not black-out. But close! Oh so close. This mildly insane talking mask was great company. Great! Sanjugo was the type to make company great again! That seemed like a great slogan, one that could brainwash a nation into letting someone as trustworthy as Raijin lead them into a new world o-... Where was he going with this thought process?
She wanted to know more about him. Odd, considering he actually now wanted to know more about the soul-binding process he assumed was taking place. That was the only logical explanation. Unless the body had its' soul devoured by the mask... Hm. Strange. Sincerely an odd entity. About him, about him... Well, he was a drinker. There was that. Raijin figured his best bet was to just start talking, hope he said something interesting.
“Me... Huh, er... Uh. Yeah. Me. Well, I'm kind of an oddball. I'm half Shinjin, half human. Descended from one of the core people, if you catch my drift. But my dad was a little whackier than your average Kaio. Found out he's what's called a 'Makaioshin'. Between me and you? He was crazy. Filled with greed, obsessed with materialism. I got a little bit of his personality. That's why I'm flashier than most, and can't stop drinking!” he said, laughing at that last bit. “Now? I pal around with a demonic sort, am indebted to some of the most dangerous beings in the galaxy, and I think I'm sort of teamed up with the Empire or something. I don't even know half the time, I'm just kind of drifting through life. I was a pirate for a bit 'til some blonde pretty-boy killed my crew when I went out for a smoke. Or a drink. Or... Drugs? I don't even remember, honestly. I've been on a bender for months now.”
Creating a telepathic link with the demonic mask he added one more thing. “Haven't paid once. Watch, at the end of this we'll just walk out of here like kings! Just you wait! When you're with me, we don't pay a fuckin' zenni!” he bragged. When his mind touched the mind of the mask's for a moment, he was lost in the depths of madness in the creatures'... Brain? What was it? Also, now that he was thinking about it, was this thing even capable of getting drunk? This was interesting. Yeah, now some questions were coming into his intoxicated mind.
“So, uh, what's your story? Anything good? Please tell me it's something wild. I need a good tale of debauchery!”

Sanjugo listened to his story intently, grinning the entire time. The black fluid continued to drip from it’s maw, some of it dripping onto the floor below it. It doesn’t have any effect when it does this… will Sanjugo ever explain what it is? Maybe, maybe not. Who knows.
A low, yet maniacal chuckle escaped Sanjugo as the other spoke about not paying. It wasn’t going to pay either! It whispers to him: “If anyone tries to stop us, we’ll kick their ass.” It isn’t good at telepathy, so… this is the only thing it can do to reply. It’ll get better at it eventually.
“That’s an interesting story ya had there! Never would have guessed you are half-Makaioshin. Those guys are more like Demons in their ways.” Sanjugo remarks before downing yet another glass of the exotic moonshine “You’ve been through a lot, that’s for sure. Glad to see that you’re holding up alright!” Sanjugo doesn’t see the endless drinking as a problem. “Now ya want to know about me? Alright, alright.” It takes a moment to clear it’s throat before starting the story.
“Many decades ago, I terrorized this little village. I was having the time of my life until this bitch of a woman came and ruined it for me! She buried herself with me in this cavern underneath the village. I only awoke a few weeks ago. Once I awoke, I took over her corpse. It’s a strong corpse, if you can’t already tell.” How in the world could Raijin tell how strong a corpse is? “I haven’t done much since I woke back up. This is the most interesting thing I've done, actually."
"That's really all there is about it, Raijin. Sorry that I'm not as interesting as you. You're a cool dude!" Sanjugo remarks before giving him a pat on the shoulder.
