"Man, this is a really dumb idea," a lone Half-Saiyan whispers to himself, and it was true. This plan of his was one that he immediately recognized as terrible as soon as he had actually decided to try and go through with it. There was almost no good outcomes from this. To even consider going through with it after having this revelation must mean that he was mad. What is this plan, though? What is it that is such a terrible idea, yet the man decided is worth doing anyways? Well, it's fairly simple. He is going to invade the dreams of a madman. The man who decided to go through with this, Etohn Verstoss, had found himself in the tranquil bamboo forests of Earth that surround East City. He had grown up here, and now, 2 years after having left this locale, he once again was brought back to the place of his origin. Of course, it wasn't for the sake of visiting him family. They'd probably be livid with him for running away in the night and refusing to contact them. No, he was here for a simple Dominion mission he took on just before, to capture a runaway traitor. With how quickly that was done, however, now he really didn't have anything to do aside from collect his reward for that task. Even then, the post where he received the mission from wouldn't be open for another hour or two. Thus, ideas on how to spend his time came to the forefront of his mind. And now, he's at the point where he had fully decided on what to do. He was going to enter a special state of mind through meditation that he managed to learn during his time on Planet Shizen. The part that was so special about it was that it allowed him to enter the dreams of other people. The main purpose of it was to allow him to communicate with other people if he had no method of speaking to them otherwise, though with the obvious limitation being that they need to be asleep, and Etohn has to not be sleeping. When you're on the same planet, it's not that difficult to account for since you physically know when it's night time or day time. On other planets, though, it becomes quite a bit more difficult to try and narrow it down. The Half-Saiyan's usage of this technique of his would not quite be the ideal one. For now, he intended on entering Polaris' dreams for a few things. He wanted to know how the Emperor was doing. From the rumors he's heard, it seems like they're not doing particularly well in the mental department, so he wanted to see that for himself. Since he'd be in his mind, as well, that also meant that they could do whatever they wanted, as it's just a dream. A perfect chance to see how strong they are now, he reckoned. Seating himself amongst the foliage, Etohn collects his thoughts briefly before allowing his mind to wander. Slowly, he'd feel his conscious thoughts drift away from his body, and before long he'd be lost in a blur of lights skirting around the edges of his vision. If Polaris was awake, he'd be sent right back after trying to enter their mind, so the moment of truth would be coming soon. Either he could meet them again after all this time, or he'd just have to find a better use of his time. Legume

In Polaris's dream world.Dreams suck. For Polaris, they were almost always some obscure metaphors for whatever terrible thing he was thinking of at that time. Before the coup on Abbayor, he had dream after dream of failing, getting destroyed, or worse - being reduced to a minion. When he fled the Frieza Force for the Patrol, he had constant dreams about his father hunting him down, the Patrol denying him, and, again, being reduced to a minion. When he lost against Heimdall, the Earthling's face haunted his dreams for a good few weeks. Oh, and they were always lucid. So Polaris had to make up his own entertainment. Maybe this is one of the reasons why he had been sleeping less and less recently. That and the weight of ruling an empire, of course. This time, his dream world was nothing more than a long and wide corridor of mirrors. Some were broken, some were twisted, but none showed reality. Polaris didn't do much more than take a few glances at the "walls" of the corridor as he walked forward to find out what was in the end, but the sight did not encourage him much - some twisted the upper body, making him appear a lot more muscular and tall than he actually is, some showed him as a poor, dirty beggar, some - with the eyes of a madman on a rampage and blood splashed across his body. Had Polaris stayed and analyzed each of the mirrors more, maybe he could have cracked what this dream was trying to tell him, but he couldn't possibly care less. Thankfully, the monotony of the corridor of mirrors was upset by the appearance of a humanoid figure in the distance. Oh thank goodness, it didn't resemble Heimdall. As Polaris approached, he could make out a few more of its features. It looked Saiyan or Earthling - one of the two - with dark hair, and, get this, a metallic arm. Was this supposed to be someone Polaris knows? Or just a random figment of his imaginations? As the Frost Demon walked closer, enough to make out the man's facial features, the former turned out to be the answer. Does the face not resemble someone to you? That Saiyan who once used to be Polaris's rival, before losing an arm to him and vanishing, presumably dying somewhere in outer space in the process. Etohn Verstoss. Well isn't this an unexpected sight? "I didn't think my dreams would resolt to terrorizing me with dead men." Polaris muttered, smirking slightly, and stopped about ten meters away from Etohn. Light, then Darkness. A perfect metaphor for many aspects of life. Conflict, ambition, power. This wasn't some proverb, however. It was just what his surroundings changed to. The warm feeling of meditation and peace of mind replaced suddenly was ripped away, and before he could even attempt to try and return to his body, he felt his soul snatched up and dragged into the void. The void that was the Emperor's dreamscape. His body was suspended in the nothingness, his body feeling trapped. What could have twisted his mind so much? This was completely unnatural, and Etohn had never heard of something like this happening before. He felt like prey in the grasp of a predator, powerless to his surroundings. Could he actually...die here? "No...no, I can deal with this. I'm going to meet him, and I'm not going to have some shitty dream beat me." Slowly, he'd force his body to move, folding his legs together and clasping his hands together. Though it was a struggle, he finally resumed a meditative position. Etohn would focus on his breathing, slowing it down to the beat of his heartbeat. A white glow would begin to come from his body, breaking apart the shadows surrounding him on all sides. A room, no, a hallway began to build itself before his very eyes. On the wall to his right, a series of mirrors would run down the seemingly endless expanse of the space, with what seemed to be windows running along opposite to them. The one closest to him actually reflected him, as well. Rising from the ground, Etohn gazes to it, and is taken aback by the sight. It was him, but not as he was currently. It was him when he was younger, likely shortly before he left to train on Planet Shizen. The part that shocked him, however, was that he was not the only one in the reflection. The Namekian he defeated all that time ago, Lord Trombone, held him up by his neck, and the color from Etohn's own eyes were gone. A reflection of what could have been, it seemed. Gazing to the opposite wall through the window, a very different sight came to his vision. It was him as he was currently, though rather than the cheap clothing that he wore currently, he was clothed in a full suit of Saiyan armor. This Etohn was also seated upon a throne made of wood, Saiyan soldiers bordering the edges of the room. All of them were saluting him. "Hmm...is this what it would be like if I was the ruler of the Saiyans?" he mutters, gazing downwards as he ponders the idea. While looking down, he notices his right arm had been changed. Rather than the realistic prosthetic he acquired after finishing his training, this one was metallic and glistened in the unnatural light of this space. It was the same replacement limb he got right after losing to Polaris. Fitting, he supposed. Etohn caught some motion out of the corner of his eye, and after turning towards it, realized that it was the man of the hour. Despite how long it had been since they met, Etohn could never have mistaken them for anybody else. That blue skin, the azure gems decorating their body, the malign sensation they give off. "Polaris."Almost unintentionally, Etohn's gaze steels itself as he gazes at them. He didn't want to hold any ill will towards them, despite all of their terrible deeds, though it was far more difficult controlling himself when face-to-face with them. Corrupting the Patrol, permanently crippling him, killing his mentor... "It's been a long time. To think that I'd see you again here of all places..." Etohn had to be careful with his words. If he made it very apparent that he was not part of this dream, then it would begin to be torn asunder, and he would have to return to his body lest he die along with the dream. "You know what's going to happen here. It doesn't have to be this way, though. You can turn it all around." Slowly, his right hand would rise upwards, though it was not an aggressive gesture. With care, he'd bring it through his hair, brushing it backwards. As he does this, a faint golden light would begin radiating off of his body. Gradually, it increases in intensity, growing to a blinding degree. Cracks begin forming in the nearby mirrors, breaking apart the images before moving onto the next one. The deafening sound of shattering glass rings throughout the hallways. The entire hallway would also begin to shake, cracks slowly forming along all along it as the tremors worsened. When it felt like everything around them would completely break apart, though, all of the noise, light, motions, everything would stop. Their surroundings would appear just like before, as though nothing bad happened to them in the first place. The only difference now, however, was Etohn. His locks appearing to be made of gold. His eyes narrowed, a green light radiating from them as his gaze piercing through Polaris. Surely the Galactic Emperor would recognize it as the form of a Super Saiyan. BATTLE TRACKER

In Polaris's dream world. You know what is going to happen here. It doesn't have to be this way, though. You can turn it all around. It might not have been exactly what Polaris expected Etohn to say, but it was certainly in the same ballpark. This particular Saiyan has always struck him as a goody two shoes type, in opposition to his manipulative, pretending persona. Etohn made sure to not make this appear like just an empty threat, however - he followed this statement with a sudden transformation into the legendary Super Saiyan form. Now this did get Polaris to raise an eyebrow and slightly cracked his act. And not just because this raised the number of Super Saiyans he has witnessed in his lifetime to six. "I suppose this means you achieved that dream of yours, didn't you?.." the Frost Demon muttered, his voice a mix of surprise, bewilderment and interest. It's quite odd, isn't it? Polaris hadn't seen Etohn ever since he crippled him in that battle on Planet Mitra, after which the Saiyan travelled off into deep space and presumably died, as he hadn't heard of him since. You'd imagine that his mind would thus generate an image of Etohn as Polaris saw him last, not as this mature. Super Saiyan self with a mechanical arm. Unless this all was some weird fantasy nightmare his mind cooked up for whatever reason. Either way, Polaris was not here to quit. "I have nothing to turn around, Etohn. I didn't do anything I have done out of malice. Just like you, I was chasing after an unachievable dream, and caught it in my hands. And with this dream of mine, I will beat yours." Suddenly, a powerful purple aura burst to life around the Frost Demon's body, while his muscles bulged and grew in size, additional sets of horns growing on his head and shoulders. With a face mask snapping on his mouth and a powerful burst of energy, shattering mirrors all around the two fighters, the Fifth Form transformation was complete. A thin, purple aura continued to flow around Polaris for a few seconds before fading away. Without further hesitation, Polaris clenched his fist, sending shards and pieces of the broken mirrors around them towards the Super Saiyan. An energy blade suddenly burst to life around the same fist, and the Frost Demon lunged forward, releasing a barrage of attacks at the opponent. (407 words) Defensive Phase

"I have nothing to turn around, Etohn. I didn't do anything I have done out of malice. Just like you, I was chasing after an unachievable dream, and caught it in my hands. And with this dream of mine, I will beat yours." Somehow, Etohn expected Polaris to say something of the sort. He knew that it was the man's dream, his drive, that caused him to rise up from an amateur in combat to surpassing Etohn to such an extreme degree. Even now, Etohn realizes that his training hardly gave the results he imagined. He nearly doubled in power since before he left, but for most of that time he lacked the motivation that the Frost Demon before him had. Now, he knows what to work for in life, just like he did as an aspiring prodigy, but it was no wonder that Polaris was as powerful as he is, even within his own mind. Before Etohn's very eyes, his old rival went into the form that beat him previously. The main difference was, now, he could get a good look at it, though he almost wished he didn't. Their muscles bulged abnormally and the shelling on their body would warp itself, forming new horns and coiling around his face, like a mask. Before, they looked relatively normal, but this was truly a monstrous form. Very fitting for someone double-faced as him. With his power shattering the mirrors around him, they are sent flying at Etohn, though they achieve very little as his aura burns most of them up before they can touch his skin. A few manage to nick him, though. As Polaris rushes at Etohn with a blade of ki formed around their hand, Etohn would pull a similar maneuver and materialize his own energy blade around his metallic hand. He would not use it to defend himself, however. As the Frost Demon's blade arced towards him, his left hand would shoot out towards it, and just before it could cleave through the limb, the ki manifestation would dissipate. Nothing visually jumped out from Etohn's hand, and yet the energy making up the attack would be broken apart systematically and shattered apart, rendering the attack null and void. With the opening created by essentially disarming his opponent, Etohn lurches forward, attempting to drive his left elbow into their gut, followed quickly his left hand snapping upwards to strike them in the jaw. Irregardless of how Polaris dealt with the attacks, the Half-Saiyan hops backwards and slashes forth with his ki blade. While it was a small sheath around his hand before, it quickly quadrupled in length to reach Polaris before shrinking back down. Landing softly a short distance away, Etohn widens his stance and keeps his left arm raised in a guard in front of him, his right pointed forward almost like a spear with the golden energy crackling around his hand. "Do you have no doubts in your path? No regrets? Was the shaman from Hera not correct about your dark nature?" Hera. The only time when the two actively worked together, and when the idea that Polaris wasn't a good guy first came into the Half-Saiyans mind. What a different time, that was. BATTLE TRACKER

In Polaris's dream world. In response to Polaris's energy blade barrage, Etohn went for a fairly professional counter - using his left hand to destroy the incoming blade through some unnatural means, which Polaris chalked up to this being a weird dream, before going for an uppercut-energy blade combination strike. The backfist dispelled the Frost Demon's defensive stance just enough for the energy blade to strike him directly and send him stumbling away for a few meters. Clever little boy... A new energy blade formed around Polaris's right hand at the same moment as Etohn begun to talk yet again, pointing out the meeting they had with a shaman on Hera all those years ago, and asking if he has any seeds of doubt in his mind. For a few seconds, Polaris just stood there, staring at Etohn, the only sounds echoing across the corridor of mirrors being the sound of the aura around his energy blade. " I have no doubts." the Frost Demon finally spoke. " If that shaman thinks I'm evil, if you think I'm evil, if everyone thinks I'm evil, I couldn't possibly care less. I'm beyond that oversimplified, illogical compass of ideology anyway." Immediately after, Polaris charged forward yet again, this time with considerably more speed behind his movement, and went for a yet another flurry of energy blade strikes - however, this time, with every single slash, cut and stab thrown, his barrage grew more and more ferocious. Polaris answered Etohn in an expected manner, saying how he has no doubts and that it was a bit simplistic to declare Polaris to be evil, something he disagreed with though would rather not push on. If he really thought he was right, no dream would change him. In a blur of motion, Polaris struck out at Etohn with his rekindled ki blade in a barrage of blows. He hardly had any time to react to one attack before five more were already on their way. However, the Half-Saiyan was no slouch when it came to speed, either. He'd whirl around, narrowly deflected stabs and clashing against slashes with his own blade. A few hits got past his guard, and the wounds from such attacks felt quite painful, but he was still standing. When the opportunity presented itself, Etohn hopped away from the assault. Clearly, he had not expected such a vicious barrage of attacks from Polaris, even despite the power difference. He now knew of what they were capable of, but it was tough to say whether or not he could handle something like that again. Only time would tell. To try and better account for future attacks, Etohn cloaks his body in a thin layer of golden energy. His body glowed brightly, sheathing the hallway in his seemingly holy light. Charging forward, he spins about on his heel to deliver a roundhouse kick to his ribs. With his left hand, at the same time as that attack, he thrusts his palm forward to send out a small explosion of ki point-blank to the Frost Demon's torso. Finally, he follows up by jumping up with foot on the ground to soar over Polaris, flipping upside down to slash at them with his ki blade before landing a short distance away, facing him. "What is it that made you go this far? Many people despise you and wish to kill you," Etohn says. "What made you give up the life of a Patrolman to instead become an Emperor who's the public's enemy?" Hopefully some insight would be revealed about Polaris. Etohn knew he had an incredible drive, but what could fuel the hatred behind it? BATTLE TRACKER

In Polaris's dream world.Etohn got taken by surprise by Polaris's barrage of energy slashes, but did not receive much damage in the end regardless and even began to adapt to the Frost Demon's fighting style, by generating a golden barrier around himself. After the brief light show, the Super Saiyan charged at him yet again, opening with a swift roundhouse kick. Though Polaris successfully avoided it by stepping back, the subsequent point blank energy blast and ki blade slash caught him off-guard. Etohn trying to speak to him yet again didn't, however. As soon as Polaris regained his senses after the battering, he suddenly threw his left hand forward, releasing a series of energy chains from his hand which would try to wrap around the Saiyan and drain his energy. Hopefully, in a tied up state, he'll think less about running away. And give Polaris a bit more time to respond to what he was asking. What is it that made him go this far? It's odd for a dream to question him like that, given that it is, well, a dream. A figment of his imagination, thus holding all of the memories and knowledge that he has. But, ignoring the lack of better judgment, Polaris decided to indulge a little in this questionnaire, anyway. " Good question, Etohn. Why do people go out of their way to give up their comfortable life and immerse themselves in the world of danger? Why do they become heroes, overthrow nations or charge headfirst into battle?" the Frost Demon spoke, his voice growing somewhat more condescending, as if he was lecturing an idiot. " In all my experience, I have only perceived two reasons why. Either they are a complete idiot, or they have something to prove. Something which they believe that, if proven, will be worth the people they abandon and limbs they lose." The energy blade around Polaris's right hand intensified, more and more ki poured into it every single moment. " Your call on which side of the iron curtain I fall into." The Frost Demon suddenly charged forward, resuming his barrage of energy blade slashes. (359 words) Defensive Phase

While Etohn spoke, Polaris caught him off guard with a set of ki chains firing off from their hand and spiraling around his body. His energy slowly was pulled from his body into them. A type of sapping technique, it seemed. Still, it didn't seem like the Frost Demon was following up immediately after using them, so he too would pause, despite the affliction put upon him. After hesitating for a few moments, Polaris, in a roundabout way, said that they merely wish to prove something by doing what they are. Asking any further would likely just result in the dream seeming completely unrealistic and breaking apart, but Etohn desperately wished to know more. What, exactly, does he want to try and prove, and more importantly, to whom? As Polaris charges in once again, Etohn forms ki along the underside of his right arm, cutting apart the binding chains. He raises this arm and braces it against Polaris' attacks, bright bursts of light coming from every impact. While on the defensive, Etohn's aura springs to life around him, bringing out more of his ki. After another one of Polaris' relentless strikes, Etohn grabs their forearm with his left hand to pull them in closer to him, his right leg rising up to strike them in the ribs. After this, he'd slam his leg to the ground and swing his head forward to headbutt his opponent. Finally, his right hand is quickly raised up into the air. The ki blade around his arm would break off and begin multiplying in the air before a dozen golden beams of light hovered above the pair. The set would shoot downwards, but rather than aiming for Polaris, they'd aim to strike into the ground all around him, positioned to limit his movement while cutting him on their descent. In Polaris's dream world.Etohn once again responded to Polaris's barrage of attacks with a professional counter - this time by grabbing the Frost Demon's forearm and using the intimate position between the two fighters to dish out a couple of powerful attacks, complete with a golden shower of energy beams. However, while they did slash and cut at Polaris as he tried to break free of Etohn's grip, the beams didn't go in deep and only resulted in shallow wounds, so as soon as the barrage dispersed, the Frost Demon went to a counteroffensive, sending his tail to wrap around the Saiyan's wrist. " You've been too silent lately, Etohn. Cat got your tongue?" Polaris muttered, smirking. If his tail was wrapped around Etohn's tail, he would try to strengthen the grip in an attempt to crush his wrist. Do dream monsters feel pain? Can they be tortured? He's about to find out. " Or have you forgotten what you're here for? Aren't my dreams supposed to torment me, not let themselves be defeated so easily?" Behind the arrogant facade, however, the Frost Demon could tell that he wasn't going to last her dealing little to no damage to Etohn forever. Even in dreams, he still had his limits, and exhaustion was one of them. (216 words) Defensive Phase

While Etohn still had a grasp on Polaris, the Frost Demon decided to wrap around his hand with his tail, a crushing force being exerted on him. His brows furrow as the pressure increases, his discomfort obvious, though that wasn't purely due to the pain. While he will probably get his arm broken like this, he also didn't know if the dreams of the Emperor involved pained expressions or more robotic features. Some variance from the norm probably wouldn't ruin everything, but Etohn felt as though he was already pushing it. As Polaris spoke, the only words of his that were really surprising was the fact that he knew he was in a dream. That meant that he knew that fact before Etohn even entered, and that this was a lucid dream. His mentor never told him what would happen if he entered a lucid dream, and that fact caused a small ting of fear to overcome him. He was in uncharted territories, in a way, and these were the kind of territories that could end up with his soul sealed away. The thought of retreating briefly passed through his mind. "Are you sure it is not yourself that you torture? If your dreams only consist of such, is it not due to your own mind?" A small burst of energy comes from his arm, freeing it from the crushing grip on it and likely damaging the tail. Lunging forward, Etohn sends his left hand careening forward to strike Polaris in the jaw and quickly follows up with another barrage of ki blades striking down all around them. BATTLE TRACKER

In Polaris's dream world." My dreams are just an another challenge I have to overcome." Etohn didn't seem to be listening to what Polaris has been saying, however, as he suddenly broke out of the wrist squeeze with a ki burst and followed it up with a sudden and strong strike to Polaris's jaw, which forced him to stumble back a little bit. The subsequent energy blast barrage, however, struck nothing but air, and a slightly winded Polaris snapped back into reality behind the Super Saiyan, his back faced towards his opponent. " Just like how I eventually overcame you." the Frost Demon muttered, taking the few seconds of time he had to catch his breath and recover some of his energy reserves. This fight was starting to seriously tire him out - so the plan now was to defeat this dream monster Etohn as soon as physically possible. A series of energy constructs began to form around Polaris's right hand, folding, bending and changing shape while trying to form a singular machine. That machine turned out to be a massive spinning minigun, which Polaris, immediately after turning around, opened fire with, releasing a spray of energy bullets at the Super Saiyan. Etohn's head whips around as Polaris appears behind him, and he catches a glimpse of the Frost Demon's obvious exhaustion. The Half-Saiyan wasn't feeling in tip-top shape, either, but the fighting was clearly wearing down his opponent. There was little time to think of how the battle was going, though, as Polaris unveiled a minigun constructed from ki which he immediately got to wildly firing off. Thrusting his left hand forward, once again Etohn would disassemble the energy, rendering it worthless before it could even touch him. Unlike last time, however, his hand was shaking as he did this, and it would twitch more and more as the attack continued. Clearly, this task of his was strenuous to perform. When the pain in his hand grew too great, Etohn would clasp his hand, now seemingly defenseless against the barrage. As a final act of defiance, however, his other hand would shoot forward, the ki blade formed around it greatly increasing in size. As it extended towards Polaris, some of the ki bullets were eaten up by it, though that obviously wasn't what he was going for. No, the blade was extending forward, and as the hail of shots sent Etohn falling to the ground, it would slash out at Polaris, and continue extending even further past that, cutting a large gouge of the wall behind him before dissipating. Now laying on his back, Etohn clutches at his chest, futilely trying to stem the flow of blood from the holes marring his chest. He's endured far worse wounds before, but these hurt way more than they have any right to for seemingly no reason. He could only cry out in pain as the assault on his senses overwhelmed him. All he could seemingly do is writhe on the ground as his crimson life essence stained the ground below him. "Say, what are you doing here?" A voice rings out from behind Polaris, one that would seem very familiar. If they were to gaze there, they'd see a young boy, clothed in a simple button-up with black jeans. Their head had a mess of black hair atop of it, seemingly going in every direction, and below that, the wide, dopey grin that could only belong to that face. It was the spitting image of Etohn around a year ago. The dream doppelganger points to the man laying on the ground, chuckling to himself as he speaks. "Man, what a loser. Seriously, he really can't even beat ya, even when you're so weak and dumb? So close, and the idiot can't even get back up." Hopping out of the hole in the wall, the apparition confidently struts towards Polaris, his right hand rising slowly upwards. As he did so, the limb would slowly begin to grow covered in a layer of dark fur, the curls of which were matted with filth and grease. Suddenly, the appendage begins extending outwards, reaching out and clasping around Polaris' throat. With a crushing grip exerted on them, they begin to reel in the Frost Demon. "Say, now that you're like this, I should beat ya up again. For old times sake, y'know?" the Fake-Etohn chortles, as he begins swinging at the Polaris with his left hand, mercilessly trying to beat them down. BATTLE TRACKER

In Polaris's dream world.Fucking... finally! Etohn has gone down! Though his final act of defiance in the form of a massive energy blade slightly weakened Polaris's barrage of attacks, the Super Saiyan collapsed on the ground regardless, staining the floor with his pretty, pretty blood. The Emperor, having avoided the sudden ki blade lunge, began to laugh out of his heart. Only to realize that his struggles were far from over. A new Etohn arrived. This one much more resemblant of what his dreams might try to pull on him. Looking exactly like the Etohn Polaris remembered, but not necessarily acting like him. Suddenly transforming and changing shape into an even dirtier monkey than before. Berating Polaris instead of trying to learn more about him, hinting that this new Etohn is omniscient much like dream monsters are supposed to be. But if this Etohn is definitely a part of his dream, then who is the first, different, Super Saiyan Etohn? Polaris had a hint, but before he could flesh it out, the new Etohn lunged at him with a barrage of blows. In response, the Frost Demon generated an energy shield around hi, softening the Saiyan's incoming attacks and helping him deflect the disgusting, greasy monkey arm heading at him. However, Polaris did not respond in kind. Not that he even had the energy to continue. Instead, after the last of Etohn's heavy blows dispelled the energy shield entirely, the Frost Demon suddenly leaped back, getting a little bit of a distance from both Etohns. " I understand what's happening here now." Polaris spoke, then descended back into his base form. A series of scratch marks and concussions, given to him by the first Etohn and hidden by his Fifth Form, could now be seen. The Frost Demon turned towards the bleeding Super Saiyan. "All the evidence points that way - you aren't supposed to be a part of my dream at all. The fact that you try to squeeze information out of me, the fact that you look nothing like the Etohn I remember..." Polaris snickered. He hadn't heard of dream infiltration before, but with such a vast Universe before him, it's not far-fetched that some magician somewhere has worked out a spell to do so and lent the Saiyan a hand. However, there is an even bigger fact to get out of this... "So you aren't dead after all, Etohn." (404 words) Defensive Phase

Post by Etohn on Sept 8, 2018 1:11:41 GMT -5
As the Dream-Etohn fought Polaris, the blood leaking from the real one would begin to change to a jet black coloration. As this pooled out from him, the pain would slowly begin fading, allowing him to focus less on that and more on what was happening in front of him. After seeing what went on before him and Polaris' words, however, he wished that he was still in too much agony to understand what was going on. It seems like an actual copy of Etohn formed in Polaris' mind popped up, and with that, the Frost Demon realized that the Super Saiyan he fought was actually the real deal. Immediately, Etohn gazes down to his right arm, and as he thought, the metallic limb was quickly beginning to turn to dust. With his true identity revealed, that meant that he was just a foreign invader in his mind, and just as easily as he could forget something, their brain was trying to erase him. Looks like his time was up. "Heh, ya got me. Well, this was fun and all, but I guess we can't play around anymore. I'll just be on my way, then." And just as he said, he began fading from his position, his body slowly growing more and more transparent as he yanks himself out of this dream realm. (Spar Concluded) Legume

Polaris rose up from his fancy royal bed with widened eyes and a burned image in his brain. For a few moments, he sat there, on the sheets, trying to parse what had just happened. Well, one thing could be understood for sure, at least - this wasn't just an ordinary dream. This was a mind attack, or an infiltration.
You have to wonder, though... what were Etohn's plans with this dream invasion? To try to convince Polaris to change his ways? He couldn't be that naive - this was no fantasy world where a single dream could completely change the way a person acts. To discover any of the plans or motives Polaris had, or to plant seeds of doubt about the success of the war against the Dominion? Maybe...
1-CE's hologram body materialized in front of the Emperor's bed and the feminine Frost Demon opened up with a question:
"Something wrong, Your Majesty?"
"A dream... it was just a dream..." Polaris muttered to himself, trying to avoid eye contact with his software maidservant and staring into the distance. "And also a premonition."
So Etohn is not dead after all. And, knowing who his master was, and what said master's fate was, he was probably not on good terms with Polaris, even if they hadn't met ever since that clash on Mitra. He's also a Super Saiyan, and has a mechanical arm... and it wouldn't be out of the left field to say that he is still in the Dominion, too.
"Ice. What information does this planet's database have on Etohn Verstoss?" Polaris muttered. 1-CE's face slightly lit up, with a faint, barely visible grin, and the feminine Frost Demon replied:
"If you are interested in Verstoss, Your Majesty, then you might want to hear this report from Tech-Tech."
