At least she managed to get some good last licks in before the Kabochan called the end of their little bout. She could admit that this was the most she had ever pushed her strength. Taking on an emperor however, probably wasn’t the best test of the demoness’ power. She could only assume that from now on, she would have to keep her head down around his empire and people.
“Let this one go?”
Kuueru took in a deep breath, having taken the first break in combat for a bit. It was extremely fatiguing to push that much power out of your body in such a short time period. She ached all over, blood and cuts battered her body, but was what really hurt lay under the skin. Ribs floated freely, completely broken through. The odd-colored bruises had begun to welt on her exposed skin.
“I’ll keep that in mind, trust that. I'm sure this won't be the last time we cross paths.” Kuueru narrowed her eyes and shot Cam a sincere smile. With the grimoire carefully tucked under her arm, and the man’s approval she was ready to leave. Luckily, Cam’s men shouldn’t have found her ship, for she came without one.
The man turned, limping off with his men. Something about him seemed as if he was seething on the inside, however it was all covered with a calm outwardly demeanor. This man was an odd one, she would make sure to meet with him in the future.
