A light at the end of the proverbial tunnel. Though perhaps more literal than one might think. This last flurry of action by the team, a countermeasure to the resurgence of attacking spiders, was a glorious demonstration of the third law of motion, in a twisted way. When every action has an equal, opposite reaction, sometimes, the opposite reaction is simply overkill. The arachnid hordes that just moments ago, charged the group of living fleshlings with complete gusto, crumpled like a paper tiger under the weight of the cross counter. So much that only a few stragglers remained. But unlike living, or at least intelligent entities, these mindless drones did not care for their own self-preservation, only the destruction of those that intruded on 'their' territory. Spiders scurried forth, what little of them remained, at any rate, and assaulted everybody. The beachhead horde continued to pursue their agitator from behind, although the giant's reaction broke down the remains of a Satanic Cathedral. The tarnished silver figurehead of Earth's Savior, Mr. Satan, fell over and blocked the path, preventing the beachhead horde from advancing any further. With this distraction out of the way, they proceeded to focus their attention on advancing through the remains of the arachnid mess. If one had tuned their ears, they would hear the sounds of distant gunfire, and energized explosions. Not from the beachhead soldiers behind, but from somewhere further up ahead. And if one had good eyes, they would see flashes corresponding to these sounds in the same direction. There was hope. Someone was fighting on the other side. The crackling of spotty transmissions would filter through the earpieces provided. "...yone ou... ere? ... Thi... GIS-02... Houn... ds imme... vac! Rep... ound nee... iate eva...!"Another transmission rang through, this time from outside. "Can you... firm? Trans... y REGI...? Repe... n... you co...? ... miss... by RE...?"

The eye lasers that Lieutenant Horn fired left behind smoldering trenches in the city ruins. He pushed off the rubble of the cathedral and rose back to his full height. Few buildings around him towered beyond his height, rather a majority stopped at shoulder or waist height. This allowed him for enough vision to scope out what was happening across the rest of the infested ruins. His chest heaved up and down. He didn't have much practice in the Great Namekian form. It gave him increased strength, size, and power but at a small cost. The collision with the cathedral had also come with a large statue landing in the middle of the alley, cutting them off from the horde swarming the beachhead. That meant they could continue forward and push deeper. Still, not wanting to be attacked with his back turned, Horn decided he would be the last one out. "Push forward," he grumbled. "I will cover our rear."There was some distance between him and the beachhead, but it was still vaguely in line of sight. He opened his mouth again and a bright purple beam sizzled from his throat. It cast all of the ruins around them in its eerie glow. In the distance it exploded a few dozen meters from the protective shield. Reaching to his left, he tore off the flaming roof off of a crumpling building and hurled it after his beam. The roof broke into three smaller sections along aerial fight arc, raining down like meteors upon the remnant of zombies and spiders. Horn wasn't really sure what to make of the scrambled signal in his earpiece. He was sure that it would become clearer as they grew closer to their objective. SUMMARY

Will watched as the efforts of not only himself, but of the people he was forced to fight alongside have rendered an army of bloated spider zombie monsters, which is again something Will would ever thought he would see in his life and wish he never did, and dwindle their numbers down so greatly that only a few remained that were foolish enough to want them dead. The stragglers chased after Will scurrying across the walls with their freakish arms and legs but Will managed to out run all of them. He sees Lieutenant Horn using his gigantic size to literally stomp out the rest of the horde and lets him do so. And then Will sees the flash up ahead and can hear gun fire and voices. Not only is it the king who needs to be saved but also more survivors up ahead fighting against the infestation. They were probably the ones that were sent out to try to save the king or were with him guarding him before everything changed when the zombie nation attacked. Will blitzes forward into a sprint to go and rescue the king and his guards before the zombies get to him. The adrenaline causes him to power up while running giving more energy then earlier. Now he feels ready for what may come next. Word Count: 222 BATTLE TRACKERSUMMARY

Odd. A signal was coming in through the earpiece he had been given for the very first time apparently. This new-fangled piece of equipment had some use after all. Back in his hay-day, people used handheld transceivers; more commonly known as ‘walkie-talkies’; while crossing enemy lines. The thought of having to manage such an item along with radios caused Cheese to shiver lightly between hops across a barber rooftop.
Tapping on the earpiece, he held down on it’s surface to send his own voice through as he spoke. Yet, this was only the beginning of his ploy. Telepathy was added into the mix- should he succeed in sending the message through to the incoming squad, it would sound almost akin to being heard over the receiver.
A simple message would do the trick.
“Do not give up hope.” Cheese both spoke and thought. “We are on our way. Over.”
Hopefully, it would be right in the nick of time. Accelerating his pace, the butler sped on towards the destination. If what he pieced together from the fragments of their speech was correct, they were in trouble. Immediate evacuation. That certainly was a phrase he had not heard in a long time.
He had to work all the more swiftly in his approach.
A reaper from above. An angel closes in. The devil may watches from wherever he may be, but it was far too late to stop.
Cheese plunged straight down from a nearby roof and down into the battlefield at the end of the alley. With the impact of his landing came flecks and lines of ruby red light from around his person. His knees bent lightly before being straightened as he adjusted his posture. Both hands were promptly placed behind his back as should be when not in use.
“Good afternoon and please forgive me for keeping you all waiting.” He examined the surrounding area with a hint of glee.
“I believe the figurative calvary has arrived.”

The demon was quite impressed with the group effort of the newly introduced strangers. Each of them had taken massive chunks out of the overwhelming horde of zombies. They carved forth a path through their corpses and ultimately ended up on the other end of the maze and closer to the final checkpoint.
Her head jerked back towards Lute, or Horn as he was calling himself. He had cleared the path for the rest of the group, as well took his position in the rear. If anyone was watching their backs she was glad it was the freakishly large Namekian.
“Aye aye.” She mumbled to the man.
As she drew closer to the end of the tunnel the faint voices picked up on her earpiece. They were distorted by some kind of static-filled interference. She could catch that the message was directed to anyone out there, and they were certainly that. The ‘butler’ in the group had already relayed the message better than she could have, so she chased on after the feline.
“Whoa, what is he…?” The demon mumbled as her eyes darted ahead. The weird machine gun wielder had decided to introduce himself. She picked up into a full sprint, her body moving with incredible speed as she ran to Cheese’s side.
“What….” Her eyes shifted to the scene around then, waiting to even comprehend what awaited her.

The Imperial Titan's mouth spewed hot purple death upon any that would stand in his way. What remained of the arachnid swarm fell apart, whether vaporized by his wrathful breath... or by the seemingly divine judgement that fell from the sky. Massive burning chunks of metal-infused permacrete that crashed down and crushed whatever unholy creatures dared to stand still. The horde at the beachhead remained, if a shell of its former self, trying desperately to clamber over the fallen statue of Earth's Mighty Savior. Perhaps to those of the Satanic faithful, this would appear an act of his loving providence, as he watched over them from the Otherworld and arranged for his blessed image to save them from danger. Regardless, falling chunks of giant debris and wrathful beams of oral energy were enough to scatter them so that they would have to regroup before attempting another assault... They alley was clear, for now.
| | MAJ Grayze, REGIS-02 | SGT Hattowicz, REGIS-02 |
HM Ches I "Reloading!" Sergeant Hattowicz brought down his fist on the actuator, the massive weapon ejecting a burning hot converter cartridge with a loud hydraulic hiss. In the same moment, he had used his free hand to reach behind him and slap a fresh new one into place. Major Grayze took that time to cover for his subordinate by hopping over the makeshift barricade and punching the heads off of anything that got over... though it was getting harder and harder to tell which the real heads were, considering how each successive wave became more and more... unusual. "Man... feels like my stomach is chewing things out..." -The unfortunate schmuck that serves as its mouth The cannon revved back to apparent vitality, its earlier red and low pitched synthesizer tone replaced with a blue glow and a higher pitch. Music to the sergeant's ears, as he held down the trigger and the weapon charged up another massive sphere of ki that launched into the horde after a few seconds, incinerating anything in a twenty metre radius. He hadn't learned how to fly or even do fancy ki modulating martial arts before joining REGIS, but that didn't stop him from being hard as nails during the tryouts. His mental toughness outlasted those of many fancy martial artists who wanted in on the program, and boy did he get in. More of a traditionalist than anything else, the sergeant preferred a good old fashioned gun to fancy ki shots. And so the unit had requisitioned Capsule Corp to come up with something that could both satiate his 'old fashioned' preferences while making the most out of his voluminous ki reserves. The result was the BFG-4000 "Phaeton", a heavy weapon that converted ki into something more tangible, serving as the channeling system in lieu of martial arts technique. It also very quickly became Hattowicz's pride and joy. And it was easy to see why. Standing behind both, atop an APC with shredded treads, and manning its plasma turret was a little foxy fellow who, by the way he dressed, seemed oddly out of place. What was a civilian doing with these military types anyway? It shouldn't have been hard to guess, really. "Major! The reserve core's down to 5 percent!""And you still want to go save those people?" The Major called out from the front lines as he hopped back over the barricade and fired a ki wave at the abominable horde. "You heard the transmission," the fox answered, pausing to pull on the trigger. Hot blue balls of death shot out of the turret's muzzle and vaporized even more of these things... "And the explosions! Standish has people headed here!""For your extraction, Sire! It's been almost three hours. There's no way anybody could survive for that long without your kind of security!" And of the entire detail, only two remained. One would think that it wasn't possible, considering his guard detail consisted of an entire platoon of crack troops, armored vehicles, and a team of five ki users. But perhaps it was that same incredulous thought that led to overconfidence... and that overconfidence to their downfall. The fox opened his mouth, but before words could come out, something landed behind them, creating a small crater in the process. Instinctively, he swung the turret around and almost fired, when the figure - on closer inspection a one-eyed, many gunned man - spoke. His voice was recognizable, the one who transmitted reassurance earlier. And his words were clear. These were the assistance. He sighed in relief. "Oh, thank Kami." The butler was soon followed by a little cat person, a demoness in a rather tight spandex suit reminiscent of Galactic Patrol uniform - but not quite the same - and bringing up the rear, a veritable titan. "Standish really knows how to put together a rescue party!""About damn, time!" Sergeant Hattowicz's deep voice reverberated through his vocalizer. He was a man of few words, but when he did speak, it tended to get a lot of attention. "Why don't you boys and girls mosey on over and get His Majesty outta here? We'll hold the line for a fightin' retreat.""No, no." The fox waved his hands almost frantically before swerving back to face the horde and open fire. He turned his head around to speak to the newly arrived party, though. "We have to go back and save who we can!""Sire, we're the only ones left. There's no way anyone else could survive after what happened! You saw it yourself on the scouter, the Sergeant and I can feel it right now, and I'm sure the cavalry here can feel it too! That... thing... is dominating all of the power signatures toward the center!""Felicia is back there!" This brought an odd stillness in the air. "Sire..." Grayze obliterated another abomination with a backhand as he chose his words. "With all due respect. We've been running this mission for over a year now, and the princess still hasn't turned up. What makes you think she's in this specific camp? Maybe you saw someone els-""I know what my own daughter looks like, Major. I saw her back there, I spoke to her. Now, we are going to get her, and that is an order."The Major looked back at the group. "If we want to get technical, the King's life comes first above any order he can give. But I would hate to be the man who breaks his heart by leaving his daughter behind to get eaten by these things. The Sergeant and I are spent. You folks have a better assessment of the situation. So it's your call."WC: 1131
The Princess is not in another castle? King Ches doesn't want to leave his little girl behind, but his guards would rather you get him out of here. This is a free turn to use healing items and decide your next step. The choices are open. Drag the King out while he kicks and screams? Save the Princess? Split up and do both? Do something else? Combat with the Abominable Horde begins next turn. Roll 1d20. If 3 players roll 12 or higher, the team gets the initiative. BATTLE TRACKERBeachhead Horde

As Horn's footsteps thundered through the blasted out ruins, they grew quieter and quieter. He shrunk, his body deflating like a balloon as he walked. By the time he caught up with the butler and the rest, he had resumed his normal seven foot size. Still, he was taller than the lot of them. Dark eyes beneath a viridian brow studied the King of Earth. A diminutive fox, not very powerful yet revered none the less. The Earthlings and the Namekians were much the same. Both revered the weak and the helpless. A monarch should be strong. Horn felt that deep inside of his being. If one were to rule over men, they must be both strong and wise. It was the way of many beasts that lived in packs. Even the wolves of Earth hunted along side their alpha leader, the biggest and baddest wolf in the pack. The old and venerable were left by the wayside, replaced by the vigor and tenacity of youth. Despite all his mental protest, he said nothing of the effect. Horn couldn't be Lute at this moment. He was here for Polaris, a man he had agreed to serve and help. Doing Polaris this favor of earning reputation with the King of Earth meant they could more easily be secured in an alliance. If Polaris called upon the Earthlings, they would be hard pressed to deny the fact that the Empire was there in their darkest hour, having pulled their leader out of the wreckage. The King refused to come back, not without his daughter. Horn reached out to feel the presence among the ruins, hoping to detect some other faint glimmer. The unsettling sensation of thing there washed over him like cold water. It was uncanny, unique and also... frightful. It wasn't the same as sensing the chaos and negativity within a demon lord. No this thing was depravity and detachment at its finest, out of the scope of sentient emotion and thought. Horn didn't like it, not one bit. "Your Majesty," Horn spoke up, the words dripping with acid. He couldn't help it. Honorifics towards such a paltry creature were... hard. "I am Lieutenant Horn of the Imperial Patrol. I offer a suggestion. I know you claim to have seen your daughter. But, whatever is here--causing all of this--is not from our world. It may have been an illusion or a trick. I think it better that we get you out of here and our team go investigate."INITIATIVEGDRjDkst1d20SUMMARY

Well this was certainly a predicament that Cheese had not prepared for. Earth royalty was not to be touched without permission in his eyes. Old fashioned values conflicted with his perception of the situation. The king was of utmost importance, but what of their heir? Why should he be the one to judge whether his safety was paramount instead of the life of his own daughter?
What should he do?
How can he-
Thunder roared from the air overhead.
What? How? Right Now Clouds. Darkened clouds from up above swarmed to create a single hole in the sky. They circled around ominously as the sound of thunder filled the air. From out of that hole poured a torrent of flame which burst down onto one of the nearby piles of rubble- utterly disintegrating it in the process. Right in the middle of the fiery pillar stood a lone figure standing upon scorched Earth an stone. His jet black cloak waved ever so slowly in the wind as the ignition came to fade.
“Yap yap yap, yap- yap.” He said while walking on and in front of the crew to face the horde.
Cheese’s eye widened. “You can’t just-”
The air turned cold. If one were to breathed out through their mouth, they would be able to see a white fume from the sudden chill. A change in temperature that came as abruptly as the person who decided to show up all of a sudden. Yet, it was not a feature that lingered around to wait for others to decide how they felt about it. Once more, it was warm. Flash frost.
“If I wanted find an opinion, I would have landed in the trash.” The stranger stated directly in prose.
Both of his hands darted were lowered slowly into his pockets nonchalantly. “Pick one other person.” He commanded while cricking his neck. “Choose your strongest now to fight alongside me- I’ll take no blame if others get caught in the crossfire.”
“You have five seconds to decide and leave.” T looked over his shoulder for a moment.
Everything about the person’s presence felt off. Everything from his no-nonsense attitude to his very aura. Sensing his energy could be compared to dunking one’s head under a pool of water previously thought to be as shallow as a puddle, only to find out that there was another person waiting on the other side. Another face staring back through a hollow mirror who was very aware your presence.
And even then, it was one that seemed to be placed behind an additional layer of restraints.
“Five seconds. After that I’m killing everything in the immediate area except for the princess and the elected warrior.” Battle Info - Cheese Defence Phase None

Will managed to reach the king after T, was surprised that he beaten to there first considering he was the first to leave to heads towards the king's location. He is thankful to see the king alive and some others as well, but is disgusted and horrified by the putrid and disturbing abominations of the next demon horde that lay before him. As if the smell of the last few hordes wasn't enough seeing people warped to this point and their corpses being used in such a way that Will had to turn around and throw up in sheer disgust. After wiping away what was left on his mouth and his fur he made his way to greet the king who was not quite what he expected but is no doubt a god individual considering how much those two men seem to respect him. "Your majesty, my name is Will O. Wisp of the Turtle School. I am glad to meet you and I will be happy to help you save your daughter. Lieutenant Horn! You and your ally take the king to safety. The alley is clear so it will be easier to get the king through them but the beachhead horde is still active so be careful. Me and Cheese will stay here and-" and as Will is talking he is caught off by a new arrival that Cheese seems to know and due to his power he might be his boss. Will could feel his anger and unsettling aura and yet. "I see, so seeing the warped visage of all of the victims of this mysterious event. To see the corpses of innocents desecrated and made into mindless beast and mockeries. Very well I shall stand by your side and if that means finding who or what is responsible and killing them then that is fine. It may not destroy or kill of the rest of the zombies but truthfully, it will make me feel better." Will said. Will has never been this serious but after seeing these abominations his patience has worn thin and he is ready to find and stop the source of this atrocity to the natural order. Kuueru finally arrived on the scene of the King and his crew fighting off the stranglers of the horde. Loud echos of rounds being fired off filled the air around the crew.
There was a certain stench to manifested ki, and it bothered the demon’s allergies. Her watery eyes looked around at the battlefield and how desolate it seemed without as much unified movement from the parades of dead.
Still, she could feel at ease that she made it this far with only a few scratches and ruined clothes. There were others, Like the King who were missing much more. Though she didn’t particularly care for the King nor his daughter, she felt a pinch of irritation rise within as the feline ordered her around.
“Aye aye cap’n pussy.” She mumbled with sarcasm.
Lute had arrived, however, in a much more appropriate size thankfully. She could feel the angst pouring off the Namekians, but soon she would be sated.
BOOM!
With a tremendous explosion, delicate pyrotechnics, and a heavy duty fog machine a new player arrived. “What the fuck?”
Kuueru waved a bit of smoke from her face and squinted her eyes at the man who threatened to blow up the entirety of anything except a few select folks. She wasn’t on that list according to Will; not that it mattered anyhow. The demon wouldn’t miss any of em if they were dead anyway.
“Well, we got Osama Bin Laden over here ready to blow up people…” She directed her attention to Lute while pointing at T. She quickly turned her finger towards Will. “...and the cat giving commands.”
“You also look like shit, maybe that’s why we get put on escort duty...stop looking so weak.” The last bit was to mock the man’s own obsession with rooting out the weaklings. She tossed him a vial, the liquid inside red. It almost resembled something out of a video game use to restore health.
“Drinks on me!”

HM Ches I "Standish really knows how to put together a rescue party". These words echoed in the King's mind, a quote that came back to proverbially bite him as the unusual collection of rescuers revealed how they were even more unusual. One Lieutenant Horn from the Imperial Patrol - and presumably his subordinate, given her uniform. He had of course been informed of them despite his status in this 'quarantine', of the events surrounding this massive reform. Of course, it was indeed quite the tragedy that the Galactic King would be assassinated in such a cowardly fashion. Though from what he understood of Saiyans, it didn't really seem like the Dominion's style. Nevertheless, Lieutenant Polaris was a celebrated hero of the galaxy. And whoever it was who put the aged Octo out to pasture was most unfortunate that the Lieutenant was there to ruin their day. One had to wonder why he didn't settle for the title of 'King', and instead crafting that of an 'Emperor'. Perhaps it was not the most appropriate term? That wasn't to say all empires were evil, but in this galaxy at least, those who rose to call themselves such tended to possess, err... somewhat unhealthy levels of ambition. In fact, one need not look further than Earth's own history. The self-proclaimed Emperor Pilaf, who was probably more of a petty king of a little kingdom than a real Emperor, and attempted to take over the world with the power of the Dragonballs, before disappearing into the mists of time. In greater Galactic history, there was also the classic example, Emperor Frieza. Why a hero like Polaris choose to take on the same title as the single most feared and hated example of his race? Was he trying to prove a point? Or was it as some of the general staff said, that he merely 'showed' his true colors? That said, if the Empire sent patrolmen to come to his aid, it could be nothing less than an act to their credit. The motives would have to be dissected later. He owed them his life, right about now. The butler seemed to have gone quiet, especially when this... flamboyant fellow showed up like some vengeful angel throwing down fire and brimstone. The Satanists would love that one. Finally, the little cat fellow - littler than even the King himself, a martial artist named Will, who declared himself to be a student of the Turtle School. The legendary Master Roshi's Turtle School? Didn't their style die out centuries ago? Perhaps he was someone who had studied the records, and attempted to reconstruct it? Another possibility was that he too had been resurrected by the Dragonballs. Now introductions aside, that Lieutenant Horn talked a lot of sense. The way he spoke, on the other hand, was like someone who was barely trying to suppress some sort of disdain. What could have caused that? He wondered. "When you put it that way, Lieutenant Horn, then I can't say I can rationally disagree." It was a moment of emotion, and understandable one. At least, there was some agreement to be had, though. Mr. Wisp and this fiery fellow intended to go get Felicia. The King sighed in relief. "Then you have my thanks, both of you. Please bring her back safe." He drew a phone from his pocket and slid to a map of the camp, with a certain part marked - the remains of a park, now a dead burned field - relative to their current location. "I met with her here. I doubt she'd still be there given what's happened, but it's a good place to start looking." The little foxy fellow handed the phone over to the catty martial artist. "Sergeant, charge up for something to remember us by!" the Major yelled out as the King stepped toward his new escort. "It should buy us enough time to retreat into the alley, and for the Princess' rescue team to get some starting momentum on the advance!"Hattowicz only chuckled with a certain amount of glee. "Sir, yes Sir." He held down the trigger for a full ten seconds, bright red ki ball growing in size until it reached the size of a small vehicle. With a loud yelp, he finally let go, lobbing the sphere at the center of the horde. It detonated with fury, clearing out a path for the Princess' rescue to use. Job done, the two REGIS troopers backed up to join the King alongside the Imperial Patrolmen. It was time to get moving... With a nod at their rescuers, the King gave the word. "We're ready."On the other side of the barricade, the abominable horde began to swarm once again, like water filling up a crater after a meteor struck. Not quite fast enough, though. It would be significantly easier to punch through this. WC: 816 Let's Split Up, Gang!King's Escort: With the alley cleared up, it should be smooth sailing back toward the beachhead. The Statue will still require 1 Standard Action to destroy, however, and once done, the Beachhead Horde will resume the attack. 2 Turns to reach the statue.
Which face is the face again? Mario Team: The Princess was last sighted at the ruins of a park 2 Turns away. Before you is a horde of utterly abominable creatures, unnatural shapes utilizing the dead in the most... creative... ways possible. Fortunately, you get the initiative. Be warned, however, that the park is getting dangerously close to the center of the camp. Stuff is starting to get weirder there. Abominable Horde has 4 actions, reduced to 3 actions for 1 turn, because of disorientation from Hattowicz's parting shot. It regenerates 10 HP. In that brief look back he took previously, T came to two conclusions.
A young Jeeves was currently here in the city for whatever reason, and that he was not at the grocery store in the Otherworld at all. He was enraged earlier for one reason and one reason only- he had been teleporting all across the universe to find a store that stocked his favourite brand of potato chips. Now he just felt silly for the threats dished out. They were not even direct at the right people. That is unless they all simultaneously happened to be cashiers, warriors, and princesses at the same time.
There was nothing he could further do except play it off like he meant to make this overly angry entrance. Hence, the man clasped his hands together before placing them rrrrrriiiiiight back into his pockets.
Fleshy abominations stood all around and far ahead. In his eyes, they were mere golems of flesh- soulless beings without much of any use but to feed and carry on feeding. T would give them a swift, yet entirely painful death for whatever their atrocity upon the world was. They had already committed the fatal sin of looking not too unlike a post-modern art project either way.
His left hand rose up at shoulder height. Only his index and middle fingers were held skyward straight, and together. In that moment, a command was given- a test of his own dominion over the world he existed in..
“Decay.” Ordered the stranger.
If his adjuration was possible, abominations for miles would begin exploding, melting, or decomposing altogether. Whichever route they took out of their debatable ‘lives’, rapid putrefaction certainly followed the horrid process. It was something that T ignored as he walked on to their destination in as cool a manner as he could possibly manage. Where was he supposed to go? They said something about a supermarket? He decided to continue sauntering onward while paying attention to where the cat was headed.
He was trying his best to look really cool.
Meanwhile, Cheese was busy standing by the King's side- ready to leave. Battle Info - Stranger Defence Phase None

Will looked at the map on the phone telling them where the king saw his daughter at earlier. "Thank you your highness. I will do my best to go save her." Will said. Now the stakes are even higher because now they have to save the king's daughter from the horde. And also must get her to safety as well. He cannot let the king down or anyone for that matter cause so many lives are stake for this. Will can feel the strange energy coming from the center of the origin of these zombies. Will wished he would be able to summon his vengeful flame spirits cause the strange magic affecting the area seems to supersede his own and messes with his own magic especially being so close to the center. So he can't be able to burn these zombies alive. But since he was able to summon Dragon Soul earlier he tries to again and is successful. "Damn these things keep getting uglier and uglier!" Dragon Soul said. "At least you didn't see the spider ones from earlier." Will said. "Spider zombies? What kind of weird ass necromancer had the idea to make these? Well whatever, punching them to oblivion would sure piss whoever did this off." Dragon Soul said cracking his knuckles. Dragon Soul then unleashed a powerful barrage of punches to punch the horde of abominations into splatters of blood and gooey red masses of mess. BATTLE TRACKERSUMMARY

Kuueru tugged at the tattered uniform that still managed to fit to her body. It was rather hot, and uncomfortable. Not to mention the stench of pestilence coated her from head to toe. Maybe once she got back to base she would use all of Lute’s zeni for a nice spa date. She lingered on the thought for a moment, her eyes nearly rolling back into her head to escape the currently dreadful situation.
She motioned towards the King, while putting on her best smile. She had to make sure he felt comfortable if he was going to trust them and come along without issues. He did, shuffling along the bloodied streets and towards the nearly desolate alleyway. Of course, there was always the straggler who she would have to punch in two before they could pass further down towards their initial starting point.
“Why do we get put on the escort duty? I figure with matching uniforms we seemed more capable than a cat and anger-issue firecracker.” Kuueru mumbled towards Lute who seemed to be progressing along beside the girl. All that she could hear in the back of her ear was, ‘Why can’t you just teleport us there?’ or ‘This is too much effort.’. Kuueru blocked the Namekian out and pushed on regardless.

A tingle went down Horn's back as he felt a new and different aura. One of a stranger that arrived in the pillar of flame. This was the sort of tingle that told Horn of danger. Even more danger than the thing lurking deeper in the ruins. They were clad a dark cloak and sported flamboyant sense of disregard. Who are you? Horn said, narrowing both eyes. A hint of scarlet appeared in his irises, a flash in the pan. Horn took a moment to get a full sense of the essence of the stranger's aura. It was abnormal, and also heavily suppressed. Despite slavering curiosity, the posing Imperial Patrolman wasn't a reckless as a Saiyan and could control himself. Maybe he would meet his fellow again, and then see what he was all about. “You also look like shit, maybe that’s why we get put on escort duty...stop looking so weak.” The demoness' words snapped the Namekian back to reality. He took the vial, popping it with a nailed thumb. It went back, the taste crude and metallic. Yet, he could feel is easing his suffering and bolstering his energy. "Let's move out," Lute said. He motioned for the King and his entourage to follow. They started down the path of the alley, stepping around the dozens upon dozens of body. The stench was sickening. Lute suddenly regretted resuming his normal form. At least up high, he was able to get plenty of fresh air. "Why do we get put on the escort duty? I figure with matching uniforms we seemed more capable than a cat and anger-issue firecracker." "Let the cat die and the stranger die for all I care," Lute whispered back. "The mission is to return the Earthling king. We don't get extra credit for killing whatever is in there."He let Kuueru take the lead of the procession and dropped to the back. It was a better tactic than staying bunched up and vulnerable. At least they had eyes and ears at the ready from each angle. SUMMARY

| | MAJ Grayze, REGIS-02 | SGT Hattowicz, REGIS-02 |
HM Ches I It really was a downer experience once the adrenaline wore off and you were drawn back into the normal world. Reality in all her cruelty would wipe away any vestige of exhilaration and energy, and you would be exposed to the results of your handiwork. Grayze cringed at the foul stench emanating from the strewn corpses and pieces of corpses in the alley. Not that he would wish for some trouble to show up, considering all of them were just catching a brief respite, but adrenaline was really helpful. Traveling through one cleared area to another infested one, however, just upped some anxiety. Soon, they would be fighting through another horde. He and Hattowicz remained silent. King Ches, for the most part, did not seem so worn out as one would expect. This was somewhat embarrassing to admit. Though perhaps it was because he was still seriously concerned over the Princess... if that actually was her out there. One thing to be thankful for, was that they were now receiving an escort outside. The surreal three hour nightmare was almost over. Just one last hurdle of what had been referred to as the 'beachhead', and they would be out. "Oh dear," the King thought aloud as he saw the toppled statue of Mr. Satan lying up ahead. "The Church would likely have a conniption over that...""Hail Satan, baby." Hattowicz traced a circle over his belt buckle, an ancient gesture dating to the early years of the Church, denoting the Hero's famed Championship Belts. Many of these had become regarded as holy relics as the years went by, and it was now used as a prayerful reminder whenever someone was in the presence of a church structure, or the Hero's image. The sergeant was a quiet one with a certain sense of humor. So it was hard to tell whether he was serious, or making fun of it... "The terrible state of this place is the least of their worries..." Grayze dryly commented. There were far more important things to do than fix up a broken church. Like fixing the rest of the city first. His ears tensed as he began to hear gunshots in the distance, and a familiar, bothersome groaning. "I'm guessing you brought that statue down to keep them off your tail, huh," the Major addressed the group of two Patrolmen and one-eyed many-gunned butler. "That was a pretty smooth move."It was now a matter of how to make the transition. Destroy the statue? Or perhaps go over, and use it as elevation? Either way, the Beachhead horde awaited them on the other side, poised to swarm at first notice.
Amalgamations of corpses, mockeries of the living... whatever put these things together, either had a wicked sense of humor, or lacked any empathy whatsoever. Regardless, however, they were not invincible. Far from it. A few succumbed to the inflicted injury caused by the one-eyed fire lord. Carnage of various sorts, not necessarily fire related, wracked some of their number, while the two-time combo by the cat and his guardian dragon swept away significant numbers of the swarm, even if it was slightly wild and hit less than it could have. Still attempting to regroup, they would attempt to charge directly, without any regard for tactics or strategy. Why care about that when you had... strange, unearthly, ichorous fluids flowing out of every orifice. Ichorous fluids that would cause problems for a person if they so happened to get covered by enough of it. In the cat's pocket, the King's phone would begin to beep as a built in tracking app began to ping. Resonance with another nearby phone. Whoever owned it, or at least the phone itself, was nearby... up ahead, on the other side of the horde, was the dead, empty remains of what was once a lush park. Only the charred black husks of what were once trees remained. Standing like skeletal guardians over dead ashen plains. A veritably dead forest, surprisingly useful for hiding in. And beyond that? It was... difficult to fully digest. From some directions, it would appear to be a mountain of flesh nestling in the ruins of buildings. Immense in mass and power, rising up like an organic spire of monolithic proportions. From other directions, it might appear to be nothing more than a gigantic blob of slime. Something about this amorphous nature perhaps tapped into the mortal subliminal consciousness of ideas regarding... bacteria... protozoa... prokaryotes... slime... algae... scuzz... Yet at the same time, on as close a possible inspections... its outer layer, covered in a collection of mortal parts. Limbs. Organs. Spread out across an organic, fleshy surface. Deeper inside, unknown... perhaps unknowable... At the summit, something vaguely resembling a 'head'. Fin-like protrusions taking the place of 'ears'. A dull yellow 'face', hosting nothing but what seemed to be a simple purple eye... If that was indeed what it was..... Standing beyond the horizon, it wasn't quite possible to tell from this distance what it looked like a ground level... but it was perhaps best not to know. For from its direction came inhuman screams and noises of legion. It was clearly the source of all this abominable miscreation... It's... some kinda... thing. WC: 878

The horde's reckless clawing and scratching at whatever it has managed to make a few gashes into Will. He tried to harden his skin this time with Ki so that they wouldn't cut through it but they still managed to cut through the hardened skin. These guys are a lot more tougher then the last two hordes no doubt but they still have the thinking capabilities and attention span of a dried trout. If they played their cards right they could be able to get to the king's daughter and bring her to safety to the others and also take care of that gigantic thing that appears to be the source of the zombies. Will did not know what it could be or where it came from, but it reminds him of this one evil woman he met named Shale who was an Earthling cursed by a strange book that did not seem to be of this universe. Both the creature and Shale are not aliens nor are they demonic. They are both indescribable in nature and motives. And that's probably one of the reasons these types of creatures are so dangerous due to how unpredictable they are and are basically chaos given form. Will powered up to bring out as much energy within him as he can. Dragon Soul left so he could conserve energy. And Will then proceeded to get out his staff and beat as many zombies as he can with it. BATTLE TRACKERSUMMARY

“Did I miss?” Mentally mused the Lord Breaker to himself.
He missed.
He missed so hard that he did not notice the creature that had charged up behind him. When he finally did, it was a little too late. It had sunk it’s teeth deep into his back, chomping down until the man could not be seen any longer. He had been enclosed fully by the beast’s gigantic maw. Neither a care, nor a bother was to be had by T. The man proceeded to walk right out of there as a set of teeth lowered like the ramp of a tow-truck.
Dusting off any dirt that had accumulated on his coat from the ordeal, he continued to his right hand in his pockets. ‘Why is he doing that’, you ask or did not ask? Because he was using his left hand to clean off the dirt. Also to kill the abomination that tried to eat him.
Maybe they misunderstood his words. Going with the usual phrase may have been better overall. Once more, he left his left hand up in front of himself as two fingers remained raised. An archer’s taunt if you will.
Then he gave a simple, understandable request. “Die.”
All the same as before, but now he seemed to notice the large structure far away. It struck him as oddly familiar for whatever reason. Maybe it was just the amount of red on it. T liked the colour red. Nevertheless, he would try his best to get to it next. Though other matters had to be addressed first- namely, the cat.
When he specified ‘another warrior’, he thought the strongest of the lot would join him. Instead he was given an oversized kitten. That or a talking cat. An undersized kitten? He did not know which one to categorise the teammate as. A cat. He was given a cat. That being said, T decided to give the cat a temporary power up.
“Lead on, noble warrior.” Ordered T as he snapped his fingers. Just like that, fatigue had the potential to leave one’s bones. Battle Info - Stranger Defence Phase Indiscriminate Swarming (Area Attack) - 114 Attack vs 90 Defence - Hit! - 5 Damage

The escort group arrived at the giant fallen statue of Mr. Satan that blocked the alleyway. Horn started at it for a long moment and sighed, pushing his way to the front of their little marching order. His annoyance was clearly due to the weakness of the people he was forced to protect. Both he and Kuueru could have jumped over the statue with ease and been in the clear. These others--some marble was enough to block their passage. There were ways around, more than likely. They could head into one the ruined buildings to the left or right and found their way through. But, that was also a waste of time. So, the Namekian cocked his arm back. "I don't get the obsession you Earthlings have with this noodle headed man. Based on the historical videos I've seen of him, he looked like little more than a buffoon and a charlatan."A gloved fist shot out like a piston, smashing through the statue with an immense crack. The marble was obliterated into motes of dust, along with half the street for several dozen yards. Horn glanced back and motioned with his hand for everyone to continue on their merry way. "The lot of you should consider training your ki energy, especially you Your Majesty. You would be able to do things like this. Earth wouldn't be so helpless against alien invaders either. It's a miracle you lived through Lord Glacio's onslaught. He was known as the World Breaker for a reason. Emperor Polaris killed him nearly single handedly, with only the help of a few mercenaries. Imagine if you had strength like that. Good thing the Empire is a stalwart ally of Earth."SUMMARY

Post by Queen Kuueru on Aug 31, 2018 11:34:36 GMT -5
Kuueru wasn’t expecting as much company as they had alongside the king, so much so that it made her question her entire role in this operation. Not only did the Demon not care much for the king, but even branding herself under the faction of the Galactic Empire seemed fake. Her allegiances were almost always fleeting, until she milked what she could from them at least.
She listened to Lute rant, over and over he spoke on weakness like some sort of obsessed animal. She let him give his lecture, it was partially true. If the king wasn’t so helpless, perhaps he wouldn’t even be in this situation. Then, the pair of trouble-makers wouldn’t have to resort to helping grant them freedom.
“Anyhow, I don’t think they care to hear your demeaning words Horn.” Kuueru hissed while watching the Namekian blow the fucking dumb statue into a million pieces. A bit of relief fell over her as she looked at the horde of zombies waiting. She shrugged towards Lute.
“Suppose we have to get passed them to ‘save the king’.” Her words seemed unenthusiastic at best. If anything it would arise worry within the men and their King.
“I don’t feel like it though. Why don’t we let them attack first?” Kuueru chuckled, the Galactic Empire uniform shifting to her normal ‘day-wear’. She grew tired of the formality of things, and the embarrassing outfit Lute conjured.
