Planet Vegeta
Western Badlands: Beet Town
A humble beet farmer
"H... hello? Is this thing on?" She never was good at technology in general. Sure, she learned how to use a phone and a computer. But beyond calling people, chatting on Spacebook, or looking things up on WikiSpaces, there wasn't anything else she used them for.
Capsule Office Suite? What was that?
And now, it was doubly so that she had brought much of this same equipment back to her home planet. Farming wasn't hard. Time consuming, sure, but it brought something of a fulfillment that kept her working the fields in the day, training at night, then going to Space Vegas on Sundays for the occasional match.
It had become routine over the months, but routines were something she was accustomed to. She grew up in a small world, spent a few years exploring the wider galaxy, helped reclaim her home from invaders. But farming never stopped calling to her. And it was farming that now drove her to venture out and make a live broadcast using software that she didn't really understand how to use.
"Yes, hello. I am a farmer on a deserted planet. And I need help with my crops." Nobody came to Planet Vegeta. Things were bad enough since it "mysteriously" reappeared almost six centuries after Frieza destroyed it. Few ventured, including one Lord Glacio of the Frieza Force. But ever since he "mysteriously" never returned, the rumors spread like wildfire that the planet was haunted. Presided over by a demonic Great Ape that represented the collective grudges of the ancient Saiyan clans. A force of nature that ravaged any foolish enough to tread on its path.
That was why she didn't really name it. The name terrified most people. But she would give the coordinates. And from there, only the courageous would venture down to the haunted planet. They would have to be.
"It's almost harvest season, and some pests need to be cleaned out. I'd do it myself, but there are just too many of them this year. Focusing on them would distract me from tending to the crops." That was the... simplest way of putting it. Not because she was trying to dumb down a complex situation, but because she too was of a simple mind, and thought of things in simple farmer terms.
"Help me out, and I'll pay you right! A fair wage for a fair job." These were more things her father had once said, and they still rang true to her. "These are the coordinates. And... um... that's it." As one would expect in the technologically illiterate, the camera continued to roll as she fell back into her chair and exhaled a sigh of relief. It was finally over. At least she thought...
The camera continued to run even as she stood up and left the room, to go back out into the field. As the device wasn't plugged in, the batteries eventually ran out.
