KORSK'S HAVEN, Deep Space.Roaring laughter filled the dingy tavern inside of the asteroid. All sorts of strange xenos were packed into the tight space. Booze flowed from the three separate bars that ringed the walls. The tables and benches were packed shoulder to shoulder. The cacophony of voices pissed Lute off as he stood, back to the wall. No others dared approach him. Perhaps most of these folks could sense the aura of malice. Or, if they couldn't the scowl on his face told the story enough. He was looking for a very specific smuggler among the crowd, both of his dark eyes scanning the diverse population. That was until a burly Saiyan in dilapidated armor slammed into him, an entire cup of ale splashing against his bare green chest. In one swift motion, Lute grabbed the Saiyan by the back of the neck, his crushing grip forcing the bulky mercenary to his knees. "I see why the Emperor hunts your kind down without remorse," he said. With a growl of irritation he hurled the Saiyan clear across the room. Except, it wasn't that simple. There were dozens of people between him and the next wall. The sheer kinetic force of the throw dragged them all with Lute. It was like the Earthling game of bowling, everyone crashing to the ground. Silence fell over Korsk's Haven, dozens of angry eyes set upon him. Blasters were drawn, weapons were brandished. Lute crossed his arms, a fanged grin crossing his face. "Where the fuck is Hargo Red? I'm sick of waiting around with you lot of cretins," Lute said. They descended upon him, all at once. Bolts hissed through the air, battle cries sounded. He held his hands out in front of him and leveled the crowd with a single precise concussive burst of ki. It crumpled those close enough to him, breaking bones and folding bodies. For a moment, Rai had been relaxing. Enjoying his drink, winding down from his embarassing string of defeats and misadventures. He had even been drafted forcibly into the Empire's forces after his most recent loss. Raijin sighed a breath of relief, despite the seedy bar he had chosen. Little did he know he was destined for a string of bad luck whilst drinking. See, Raijin was from Earth. Despite his ignorance to most things in space, he knew one thing from home: Bowling. To be fair, he had never seen it done with people. So, when a crowd of people were demolished like bowling pins, Rai couldn't help but clamor to his feet, ready to fight. He could feel an incredible energy in the bar, and he sifted through the many powerlevels in the immediate vicinity as he searched for the one it belonged to. It was easier than he thought. An impressive strength, one reminiscent in pressure to Emperor Polaris' had entered the establishment, scattering and tossing people like ragdolls. Now they looked pissed. The crowd charged at a singular green man, with a malicious aura. Lute crushed the crowd with a burst of concussive energy, even knocking Raijin off balance. He regained his composure and eyed the alien man, approaching him, still holding his stout. "...you know there are people drinking here, trying to relax. In one swift attack, Lute had turned Korks's Haven a mess. The lights overhead flickered and buzzed, groans and screams of pain sounded from the entangled mass of xeno bodies. It was a good thing Lute was well acquainted with the owner. Despite his frustrations, he would make sure to leave the man a nice tip for the troubles. Those that survived the concussive blast began to filter out the many exists, grumbling in distraught and howling fear of the Namekian and his malice. Lute's rage wasn't quenched, in fact the look of bewilderment on their faces solidified it. So far he had been on a wild hunt to find the hidden city of Hollow. All of his leads wound up at a dead end. Each reliable source he spoke to, had no idea how to get there and back. Others that had visited the place, remembered going to towards a nebula and some days later waking up with no recollection of their visit--drifting through hyperspace. They didn't even have data on their nav-computer about where they had gone, it was wiped completely. If Hargo Red were in Korks's Haven, he was going to make himself scarce now. That meant another failed lead, and this time it was his own fault. He was about to approach the bartender and ask for Korsk to come down and talk to him, when a fool dared quip up. "...you know there are people drinking here, trying to relax. You're a little too strong to be kicking around these neanderthals." Lute took in the man approaching him with ale. A pretty boy, long hair and sharp elfin ears. Reminded him Xell ( Van ) and that alone tossed another can of gasoline of the flames of his fit. Raijin was struck in the chest by a searing bolt of ki, getting knocked back about a foot and spilling his drink all over himself. He grabbed at the tear in his clothing formed by Lute's bolt of malicious energy and cursed loudly, a slight burn forming. "Really? Really? I was gonna buy you a drink, but you're really pissing me off now." Electric energy crackled around his wound as his skin returned to its' normal, healthy tone. Rai cracked his neck, glaring daggers at Lute. It would be smart of him to walk away, Raijin knew it. But, after his brush with death against Polaris, Rai didn't feel all too scared. He was less intoxicated now than he had been then, so perhaps this would go a bit better. As he thought this, he looked around at all the groaning injured folks and the destroyed bar. It was about to get a lot worse. Rai had really learned his lesson when it came to holding back. This time he wasn't willing to. Even if winning looked unlikely, he was a soldier now. That meant looking death in the eye. And this guy? He looked like death to the halfing. The hybrid outstretched both his palms, energy crackling. He had an idea. He began preparing a technique in his right hand, a violet energy gathering in it brilliantly. It shimmered with the intensity of lightning. His left hand still crackled with energy, but he held onto it for a moment. "Shocking Slash!" he yelled. He prayed the technique would land as he fired it off, an arc of thunderous energy tearing the place up and frying some of the electrical equipment. Hidden behind that blast, he released a second streak of energy, hoping at least one lands on the alien. In the end, those were both distractions. His real idea? Rai unclipped a flask from his waist and grinned. He unscrewed the top with his teeth, and pointed it towards Lute, cackling. Strange tendrils of magical energy outstretched from it, clawing at the Namekian, threatening to sap his strength. "We could've tried being civil, you know!" Rai exclaimed, frustrated. BATTLE TRACKER

Lute watched, incredulous that this knife-eared weakling had survived his attack. The man unleashed a swift counter attack, hurling a crackling arc of electrical ki his way. Lute stood fast as it cut into his torso, coursing and crackling up his body. Purple blood sprayed into the air, his bare chest marred by the assault. The second one struck his shoulder this time as he turned his body, not wanting to take the full brunt of it. Despite that, Lute still remained standing, not having been moved an inch. Ethereal tendrils wrapped around his arms, siphoning away his aura. He glared at the eerie magic, both dark eyes rising to meet foe's, a fanged grin spreading across his face. With a jerking motion, he ripped away from the spell. A moment too late, as its effect had been done. "You're going to regret that."Lute vanished with a fluid swiftness, materializing beside the mystery fighter in an instant. His hand crackled with buzzing ki as he swept it down, aiming for a vicious neck chop. His right foot kicked off the floor of the asteroid tavern, springing him up with his knee stretched out. IF its trajectory stayed true, the knife-ear would find it crumpling his jaw. Lute landed from the strike flat footed and drew back his neck, inhaling a second before unleashing a sizzling beam of amethyst ki. It lit up the room in its glow as it plowed towards his foe. Rai grinned tenaciously as his attacks struck. For once, he was doing alright. The hybrid saw the powerful Namekian block his second strike, and he crossed his fingers that his spell would be a success. When he felt his power bolster and his expelled energy returned to him, Rai knew it had worked. Power like he had never felt flooded his body, his strength bolstered by the alien's. Rai didn't have time to feel proud of his success. Lute vanished from view, materializing right next to Rai. Rai had just enough time to shift his weight and dodge a devastating neck chop. Focusing his borrowed strength, he phased a few steps back, barely avoiding a vicious knee. For a moment, he felt cocky. Like he could win. But his confidence wouldn't last. A flash of amethyst ki directly struck the halfling with incredible force, shattering a few ribs. Blood spewed from his mouth and he went flying backwards, reeling to regain his composure. Sapping Lute's strength had been intoxicating, almost distracting. It had led to an opening that the Namekian was able to utilize. Struggling to find his balance, Rai allowed his magical energy to flood his body. It wasn't perfect, but his injuries began mending themselves slowly. Got him a little closer to fighting strength. Rai smirked as he began fiddling with the ring on his right hand. A malicious energy filled the room, exacerbating any effect Raijin's magic had caused the Namekian. A nifty little trick, but nothing that could end the fight. But it might distract the alien warrior enough for the magician to figure something out. Rai prepared a bolt of electricity in his hand and threw it with incredible force at his opponent. He followed up with his special technique once again, lightning arcing towards him. "Shocking Slash!" he proclaimed, not sure why he felt the need to announce the move. BATTLE TRACKER

Lute felt a strange sensation in his chest wound, as though his blood had begun to boil beneath the surface of his skin. The lightning arc had opened up a laceration, but it was only skin deep and superficial at best. Still the bleeding had stopped, until that moment. It came with an ache and more sticky purple bubbled fort, rolling down his abdomen. That irritated him even more. This warrior used a strange combination of magic and ki, much like himself. This made him unique among the rabble the Demon Clansmen usually fought. He could accomplish similar things through the spells he learned as a member of the Dragon Clan. But, typically he only resorted to using those in the most opportune moments. A crackling bolt of lighting struck his forearm. He had raised it at the last second. "I am impressed with your conviction, but don't think I'll go down that easy."More buzzing electric laced ki raced towards him. Before it could make impact, Lute flickered from sight. The arc dug into the back wall of the tavern, sparks and molten metal scattering everywhere. The typical tactic was the appear behind a foe, catch them off guard. Lute did the opposite, appearing in front of the knife-ear, all seven feet of him looming at once. He brought his foot up and tried to slam the unsuspecting warrior he stomach with a front kick. Bouncing off the balls of his feet, Lute barreled full force forward. He would stop at nothing as he tried to headbutt the knife-ear straight through the metal reinforced wall behind them and into the bigger hangar area outside. To compliment the headbutt, he glared and both dark irises shimmered into two twin points of amethyst. From the radiant points emerged a duo of thin eye-beams that could easily burn straight through flesh, like a laser-cutting tool. BATTLE TRACKERSUMMARY

Despite his assault being largely ineffective against the Demon Clan Namekian, Rai at least felt a burst of pride at the compliment. This guy was the real deal when it came to ass kicking. Which was why despite feeling prideful, Rai tried not to let it distract him. Especially when the massive green alien dissappeared from view, phasing to the one place Raijin didn't expect- right in front of him. The fiercesome warrior planted a tremendous kick in Rai's gut, sending him reeling. It took all of Raijin's self control to get a handle on himself in time to react to the next onslaught. Lute had followed up his kick with a headbutt, Rai barely having time to evade. As he narrowly avoided the headbutt he watched in fear as twin beams of energy came arcing out towards where he had just been. This guy was a real beast of a fighter! The hybrid felt outclassed for a moment. But now wasn't the time to lose focus. Hoping that the attack left his opponent open to a counter, Rai's fist began to crackle with electricity. He was in a bit of pain and felt hesitant to engage the vicious fighter in close quarters. Raijin wasn't the most experienced there. But now was as good a time as any to learn. He phased from view, even going so far as to copy a move from Lute's playbook. He appeared directly in front of the Namekian with a smug grin, his palm outstretched and sparking with ki-generated plasma. "I think you know the words here." he stated, lightning unfurling from his fingertips. Raijin wasn't sure how effective this was gonna be, but he felt the need to play the part. BATTLE TRACKER

The condensed beams of ki shooting from Lute's eyes raked across the wall of the tavern, carving bright red lines. He realized a moment too late perhaps that he lost sight of his target. The knife-ear appeared directly in front of him, unleashing another crackling slash. Ah, so he is learning from he as he goes. Interesting.The attack hit an invisible wall of willpower as Lute exerted his aura against it. With a grunt and a roar the energy dispersed into thousands of sputtering fragments. The guy had talent, that was for sure. That made Lute wonder just who he was. The more they fought, the more he began to suspect this foe was holding back against him. Maybe it was just like he was holding back. Lute liked to toy with his prey. Also because he didn't want to completely obliterate the asteroid bar. It was a favorite hangout of his, after all. Dragging the eye lasers in a wide arc, he brought them back onto their target to try and finish the job. Finally needing to blink, he cut the flow of ki and lunged, his fingers curling into a solid fist. With it he went for a full force gut punch, saving not an ounce of strength at his current suppressed level. The young hybrid's eyes widened in shock as he saw the majority of his attack dissipate when coming into contact with Lute's flaring aura. "Shit!" he cursed, knowing what was about to come next: Pain. Rai managed to evade the eye lasers as they came back around, singing some of his flowing hair as he avoided them just barely. The eye lasers extinguished and Rai let out a sigh of relief, catching his breath. But this wasn't meant to be. Lute appeared and buried his fist into Raijin's gut, knocking the wind from him and re-breaking his ribs. Rai coughed up blood as he felt one of them poke into his lung, pain emanating from the injury. Not wanting to experience any more pain at his agressors' hands, Rai phased from view just in time to avoid a fearsome backhand from his assailant. The hybrid clutched at his chest and drew in a ragged, pained breath. "That one hurt!" he yelled, gritting his teeth. The halfling's blood was starting to boil. But, he knew he was spending energy at way too quick of a rate. He shouldn't keep firing off the same move. So, he began making preparations for a little mixup in terms of his next big move, firing off a bolt of searing electricity at Lute. "You can dodge all day, if you like. But, you're only tiring yourself out," Lute said. He chuckled as the game continued. So far the knife-ear had proven to be nimble and clever. Lute had never anticipated a good fight, not here. He had seen dozens of bar fights within Korks' haven. Most were slap fights between drunken fools who had little skill in martial arts. The power gap between Lute and this bastard was deep as a chasm. But he still leagues above most other spacers. That alone made this an interesting training experience. Since Lute's mission was ruined, he let himself enjoy a little violence. Another crackling bolt of ki splashed against him. He moved forward, a trail of smoke from the impact flowing off of his body. It hurt. He was leaving himself open on purpose, to conserve energy and for maximum intimidation factor. He could have unleashed some of his true power, but that wasn't any fun. It was far more entertaining to be someone at their level, then show them afterward that they never stood a chance. Focusing ki into his hand, he materialized a whip made out of ghostly blue flame. It curled and snapped, as if it had a life to his own. This technique he had picked up from Kuueru, after sparring the demon within the Demon Realm. She had used it with nimble grace, allowing her to attack in rapid succession with little effort. Swinging it up, the whip trailed through the air and lashed out with sudden violence at his foe. If successful, it would curl around him, siphoning away his life force while also throwing him into the wall. Lute then flickered from sight, appearing above the knife-ear. Raijin grimaced as he was lectured by Lute about expelling too much energy too soon. The Namekian was right. He was dodging too much and burning up his strength far too quickly. It was this word of sardonic advice that led Raijin to truly believe he was being toyed with in this fight. This train of thought was confirmed when the alien simply allowed one of Rai's attacks to singe his flesh, advancing towards him. This wasn't demotivating in any way. Rai felt as though this was the perfect opportunity to push himself a little further. Clearly the savage warrior of the Demon Clan was an impressive and talented fighter, whose experience outweighed Raijin's. When a crackling whip of ghastly flame was summoned into existence by the warrior, Raijin knew he had to react quickly or risk evisceration at Lute's hands. Somehow by either divine grace or extreme luck, the first swirling arc of energy curled just around Raijin as he barely sidestepped it. From there, he tried to predict where the alien's assault would continue. He knew from firsthand experience he loved to take his enemies off guard. But would it be from the left? The right? Behind him? What he hadn't expected was the reality: above him. When the namekian phased into view directly over Raijin's head, aiming to stomp both feet into him, Rai panicked. He threw himself to the side, dodging one of the stomping feet. The other? Not so lucky. The alien's left foot landed heavily on Rai's ankle, crushing it with a horrifying cracking sound. Raijin howled in pain and fury as lightning began to really crackle and burst around him. This would be his largest onslaught yet, as he fired off a massive burst of shocking magical energy. Lute felt the sickening crunch of the knife-ear's ankle and couldn't help the fanged smirk that crossed his lips. Lightning began to crackle up beneath him, so much that he could feel the heat and the pressure far before the burst. As it surged up at him, he flickered from sight. The blast continued on its way, smashing into the reinforced metal ceiling with resounding force. The explosion shot out into the larger cavern of the asteroid, raining debris across the rest of the colony. Sirens wailed overhead and the fire suppression systems kicked on, raining down sticky foam into the bar. The damage costs were racking up, but Lute didn't care. This was a good way to blow off some steam. So far the knife-ear had proven to be anything but a push over. "I am Lute of the Demon Clan. What is your name warrior?"The words left his lips as he materialized behind the man, the whip of ghostly flame trailing behind him. He snapped it forward and attempted to wrap it around the throat, squeezing tight and pulling his foe close. As he did, he conjured a ki blade black as midnight in his free hand. It hummed quietly, swallowing the light in the room around it like a black hole. The trapped photons would bleed into the edge, making it shimmer bright like the event horizon of a black hole. He slashed at Rajin's back not once but twice with the deadly blade, trying to open up a set of deep lacerations in an X formation. BATTLE TRACKERSUMMARY

Lute asked Raijin what his name was, before phasing from view, materializing behind the youth. The Namekian had effortlessly dodged Rai's last attack, and between expelling all that energy and the injury he had sustained, he needed a moment to regather himself. Not that the Demon Clan warrior would allow even that. Rai felt an intense heat against his back as he painfully put weight on his injury, phasing out of the range of the whip at least temporarily. When the strange black-hole blade materialized, the Namekian fired off two slashes, them hurtling towards the hybrid. The first of the pair caught him off guard, sending him flying away from the second slash before he could regain his balance. Rai's armored robes had been tarnished over over the course of the fight, and the halfling had sustained multitudes of cuts all over his body. He felt a bit dizzy, too. Shaking his head to regain his focus, Rai cracked a tired grin at Lute. "Demon Clan, huh? Sounds pretty impressive. Me? I'm just some drifter named Raijin. Nothing out of the ordinary here." he stated, despite his unordinary appearance. He allowed his injured ankle to crack back into place, at least giving him a fighting chance with his magic. If only to postpone his demise, Rai began gathering more energy, hoping to release it in an impressive display. He fired off the first of his attacks, a lesser bolt of electricity from the front before appearing besides Lute firing off another Shocking Slash. "You're starting to tire me out!" he complained, wishing he could finish his drink, "That blade of yours is awfully intimidating!" BATTLE TRACKER

"You've put up a good fight Raijin. For a weakling," Lute said as he snapped his ghostly whip and raised his abyssal blade. "But, you're starting to teeter on the brink."Another bolt of electricity. Lute barely had to try with this one, simply lashing the whip out to intercept it along its path. It fizzed and crackled as it dispersed. The buzzing arc came flying in, again. Lute leaped to the side, rolling across the floor, before rising to his feet sporting a smug grin. "You need to learn a new attack or two. It's so easy for me to predict exactly what you're going to do next."He flickered from sight, appearing above Raijin with little warning. Hopefully catching the foe off guard, Lute attempted to jam the blade down into the meat of his shoulder. After the thrust, he let himself fall with gravity while trying to drag the edge across Raijin's back. If successful, it would cut a deep line from shoulder to hip. Whip still in the opposite hand, Lute skittered back with a burst of his aura. The whip coiled behind him and he snapped it forward with a flick of the wrist. The tip shot wide and curled back around, attempting to encompass Rajin's throat. Once wrapped, Lute would yank him down into the metal floor with immense force. BATTLE TRACKERSUMMARY

Those words repeated in his head as he stared at the Namekian, sweating and teetering. The alien was right. He was on the brink of defeat here. Unfortunately, Rai hadn't realized the worst part. It was already over.
"But, you're starting to teeter on the brink." the Demon Clan warrior continued, nullifying Raijin's pathetic attacks. The alien continued to lecture Rai, instructing him to learn a few new techniques. Still, all Rai could register was just how weak he really was. Even after everything he had been through, it just wasn't enough.
Lute vanished again, and the knife-eared halfling was not quick enough to see where he would be coming from. The swirling ki blade of his opponent buried itself in Raijin's shoulder, blood spurting out from the areas that weren't cauterized from the heat. The hybrid cried out in pain, before it shifted to a bloodcurdling scream. The Demon Clan warrior dragged the blade down, slashing from Rai's shoulder down to his hip.
The halfling tried to mend his flesh desperately with magic, but he barely managed to slow the blood flow. In fact, he began to waiver in consciousness as he was violently pulled to the floor. Somehow, he held onto his faculties just enough as he bled on the bar's destroyed tile to come to an awakening.
This man couldn't be allowed to leave here. Everything he had done had been on the verge of instruction... Rai, though broken and beaten, had learned from this. Not only that, he had seen how vast the difference between him and someone with real strength truly was. Luck had been on his side. As well as mercy. The youthful halfling looked more like a boy, as his bloodied hand grabbed at Lute's pant leg.
"W-wait...!" he croaked out. The last time he had stood at the feet of someone this powerful, he had been forced to join forces with them. The last time he had nearly died it had been effortless, and he could do nothing to stop it. This time? The savage warrior before him, though seemingly merciless, had opened up a path to the young man.
Having gone through life without a father, he found it difficult to look up to anyone. To ask for help. Rai had blundered through life blindly, stirring up trouble that usually ended like this. Him groveling. This man... he would never grovel, or beg. When Rai looked up at him, it was like the towering black shadow he cast completely encapsulated the youth. Rai gripped his pant leg tighter, gritting his teeth. It hurt to breathe, much less speak.
A small puddle of red blood had pooled around him. It crackled and sizzled with magic, electricity jumping off of it. Rai's essence was slipping out of the wound. Still, he didn't care. Raijin needed to find someone who would open doors for him. Now, perhaps at death's door, he saw opportunity.
An avarice filled his gut, one that if he knew his lineage could be traced to his father. But as far as Raijin knew the lust for power and materialism was all his. "I-I don't care if it k-kills me... Make me stronger! I'll kill for you! Die for you!"
That was the second oath Raijin had made to an ominous figure. A dark conviction shined through Rai's bloodied visage as he grabbed onto Lute for dear life.

Lute dismissed the whip and reached down, gripping Raijin by the throat, lifting him into the air with little effort. He carried the knife-eared weakling and slammed his back against the wall. No doubt the grinding of the open wound against metal wouldn't feel pleasant. Both of the Namekian's dark irises shone with the slightest whisper of scarlet. An amethyst aura seeped out of his pores like black smoke, flowing into wispy strands in the air. All of the ki had been suppressing during their little scuffle came leaking out, with a hint of more--of something even further beyond. The aura itself was like staring into a fire in the black of night. Lute held a fury in him like none other. The very rage that would challenge the gods and cast them down someday. The malice and hate within him was unbridled, like a thick poison gas that choked and wilted anyone who breathed it in. He raised his dark blade and brought the point to Rajin's face, pausing there for a moment. And then he released him, letting him fall to the ground. The blade dissipated with a flick of his wrist and he leaned over, staring down upon Raijin. How could he kill the man? He wasn't begging for mercy, or even resolved with his fate. No, he was asking for help to get stronger. "I have an important task ahead of me. Meaning, I have no time to teach you now. However, I want you to meet me on Tritek in a month's time. I fully expect you to have grown stronger by then. If not, I will dispose of you."CURRENT PL: 212,175 HP: 45/70 | KI: 55/115 | DEF: 70 | DMG DIE: d12 | ACC: +40 Tora

One month. That was like the blink of an eye. But, with all the blood pooling around Raijin, one month seemed like an eternity. He focused his magic, trying to seal the heavy wounds he had sustained. The youthful magician managed to barely stop the bleeding, rolling over and breathing heavily as he laid on his back. He had been spared, and offered a chance. Rai was making a dangerous gamble, offering himself to two different warriors, each fearsome in their own right. One an Emperor, the other of the Demon Clan. Each seemed malicious, but the rage that oozed out of Lute was... intoxicating.
Rai could associate with it. A similar rage bubbled in him, a frustration with the world and his position. Always stepped on, always overlooked. Raijin intended to follow Lute to Tritek in one month's time. If he could become powerful enough to prove of use to the Namekian, things would be looking up. Focusing his magic, he materialized a long, simple walking stick as his wounds slowly sealed themselves. It would be sometime before he'd be fighting fit again, but there was a gleam in his eye that hadn't been there before.
When he had seen Polaris power he had been afraid. Lute's presence was more inspiring. "One month? How will I find you? ... or should I follow the bodies?"
The last part Rai said only half-joking as he struggled to keel keep steady.

Raijin valued strength, above his own life. He saw it as more important than his indoctrination or his beliefs. That alone made him worthy of the Namekian's help. A chance fate, but perhaps another ally? Lute had already trained Marte--the kid having gotten quite stronger. He unlocked Kuueru's potential, allowing her to reach new heights. He was beginning to see a pattern here. No longer was he the lone assassin. "One month? How will I find you? ... or should I follow the bodies?" "You've felt my aura, haven't you?" Lute said as he started to walk away. "I'm sure you won't miss it."If he wasn't a beacon of darkness and malice, there was a problem. Lute hoped by then that he would have the city of Hollow secure in his grasp. Also it would be ideal if the book he gave Hachi were translated and his ascension to Demon King completed. Yes, that would be ideal. Raijin had much chasing to do, if he were to impress Lute. Korsk, the chubby little alien owner peeked out from an overturned table he used for cover. He seemed like he wanted to say something, his lip opening but snapping shut. Lute glowered at him. "Put the damages on my tab."It wasn't the first time Lute had caused a ruckus here. Korsk nodded and slipped away, scampering upstairs into his office. Crossing the hangar, Lute found the space yacht Marvel where he had left it. Marte was standing on the ramp, a dour look on his face. "You got into a bar fight, but didn't invite me.""Get the engines fired up. We're leaving.""A message came from Hachi. Something about meeting him on New Namek?"Lute strode past his pupil, up the ramp and disappeared into the bowels of the ship. Rai watched as Lute left him, heading off to a space craft. The hybrid clutched at his wound desperately, his breathing ragged and heavy. Yet, his heart still beat. Grabbing a bottle of red wine that had fallen and miraculously not broken during the fight, he forced it open and began drinking it. Heavily. Despite knowing it would thin his blood, he took a few more swigs, turning to the complaining Korsk. "Put this bottle on my tab." he said, tossing the bottle away, it shattering.
At this point he hardly cared what anyone thought. Raijin was following a malicious figure to some strange planet, risking his life just to prove his worth in the universe. Nobody would stand in his way. Leaving the bar on unsteady feet, his brow furrowed with a deep concentration. A crooked smile stretched across his face as he toyed with the old amulet he wore across his neck.
It was a keepsake from a father he had never met. The only thing he had to connect him with a past he had never known. He clutched it, growling lowly under his breath. Hate welled up inside him towards his absentee father...
"I'll get strong enough that I never think of you again. I'll kill my old self if I have to."
