| Though her time in the mortal realm had been brief, Kuueru had already found the most enjoyable spots that the planet Earth had to offer. She had clung to the cities--those being the easier to blend into as a spawn of evil. While her magical abilities had improved exponentially since her encounters and partnership with the Namekian Lute, she could only maintain her disguise for shy of an hour. Anything she chose to do in this time had to maintain the strict agenda as well--or else…
The lightest of pink locks rested upon her head, a braided crown adorning the hair style. Her clothing was odd, but not unheard of amongst the aliens and off-worlders. She wore tunics and shorts, even some rhinestone boots that came to mid-calf.
“Hnn. I’ll try one of these, ‘White Russians’.” Kuueru pressed a fingertip to the sticky drink menu of a mid-priced bar called ‘Good Times’. She came her nightly when she had the opportunity to leave hiding. Lute had told the her to lay low until he finished his off-world tasks with the mysterious magician Hachi. While it was an adequate down-time for the woman to practice wielding her magic more effectively, Kuueru took a little time to decompress from the aches that wracked her body from training.
“Here ya go.” The bartender hastily set the small glass of milky colored liquor on the mahogany bar top. It was neatly coddled by a napkin below and a modest red straw sprouted from the coffee-flavored pool. Kuueru carefully removed the straw before tossing it aside to the grubby bar floor. Then, down it went, ice and all. She shivered from the feeling of the frigid cubes slowly descending her esophagus, it almost took her breath away.
When she had arrived to the bar, Kuueru’s eyes were intently aimed on the clocks of the room. She calculated how long it would be until the spell of camouflage upon her normal appearance faded. But in the meantime it was handy for achieving Kuueru’s booze quota--Sooo, she kept drinking.
8, 9 --9:30!? Her eyes widened as she looked at the empty glasses beside of her the bartender had been too busy to remove. She felt the rumbling in her stomach, and in a poof the once cheerful looking pink-haired lady was replaced by a scantily clad figure. Her skin was desaturated and devoid of the color of before. Her pink threads of hair were replaced by cool blues and purples. Onyx horns, wings, and even a forked tail forced a stereotypical demon look on Kuueru. Armor hugged the woman’s appendages, her chest, and her lower half; it contrasted greatly with the glowing tribal-esque tattoos upon the woman’s skin.
“S-Shit.” She mumbled, the folks around in the bar suddenly staring in disbelief. Kuueru bolted, an angry mob forming behind her as she skirted out of the bar’s entrance. Hurriedly she bolted through the air, the bystanders unable to follow, but she couldn’t help but feel she was running into more trouble by running.

More visions. They flood the mind, mere waves of pictures, blurring between eachother. Not one detail could be retained, but it always depicted one greater picture. A demon. Riko's eyes shoot open, sweat flowing down his face in rivulets. Yet again, his meditations had been disturbed by sights of the future. First the other Namekian, and now this. Was his life coming to a major junction? Or had a greater being bestowed upon him a celestial quest, with these more frequent divinations to the future being their way of guiding him? He was unsure, and likely never would truly know. Still, while he did not know where this would lead, he felt a compulsion to meet this being he saw, and he knew that they were somewhere on Earth.
Riko wandered the streets, his eyes glowing with a soft blue light as they sifted through the various energy signatures of this planet's denizens, and his ears carefully listening to everything around him, even as far as the outskirts of the city was crystal clear to him. If they were a simple, non-otherworldly race, this search wouldn't even need to occur, but Demons always were tricky to track down. By a stroke of luck, or perhaps fate was smiling upon the Namekian this day, it had been a mere hour before he began to hear a large congregation of people, screaming about some unholy being a few dozen blocks to the south. Pushing past a group of Xeno thugs, Riko made his way into an alley, and would walk straight into a wall there, his body seemingly merging into it, leaving no trace of him behind. Namekian hands would emerge from the roof of a building, pulling the rest of his body forth just in time to see a being flying nearby. A forked tail, horns, and a corrupt air around them. Indeed, this was a demon. Pointing his right hand at the being, he'd force it to rapidly begin extending from his body, reaching to clasp around the ankle of the demon to try and drag them back towards him. Sure, they'll probably dislike the treatment, but it would be a problem to try and speak with the being in the presence of so many Humans. Being associated with a devil would make it rather difficult to perform missions in this city, after all. Words: 394 Queen Kuueru

A wicked forked tail whipped behind wildly as she glided through the tight knit alleyways and passed many a storefront. The city was dense with people, over the centuries the populations had only increased steadily. Fortunately, there was always the usual villian who comes and kills off half of the population.
“W-Whoa!? WATCH IT!” Kuueru belted at a small child she almost decapitated. Perhaps it was better to take to the skies, but flying higher would only bring more attention to herself. It wasn’t until she began to break the rooftops that the woman felt in the clear from the mob behind. However, a compelling green hand grasped at her ankle. She felt the fingers coil around her icy skin and immediately attempted to pinpoint where it stemmed from.
In the distance amongst a roof a man similar in appearance to Lute held her in place firmly. Perhaps her studies of the mortal realm were correct, one of the Earth’s biggest races were Namekians. With so much interuniverse trading and commerce many species spawned different planets and became slightly nomadic in nature.
“Really? Now?” In an instant the demoness was reeled in like a fish, she didn’t fight the man for she was curious about what he had to say. If he intended to kill her, he would surely of sent a ki blast and not an appendage.
The gap was closed rather quickly and left Kuueru floating before the viridian alien with a dissatisfied look upon her face. Brows furrowed to emphasize her discontent. She quickly sat up, before notioning towards the ground in a quiet attempt to ask the man to allow her the decency to stand, instead of being harassed by a tentacle monster.
“A Namekian? What do you want? I ju...just wanted a drink. Wait? Lute? Why are you back so soon?” A slur in the speech gave away the stench of alcohol. The woman’s lazy red eyes locked onto the antennae of the stranger. They blew in the breeze and almost made the girl chuckle, she found such amusement out of the simplest of things while inebriated.
“Oh, I don’t know you. Look, I was just trying to get home is all, promise! No one down there is hurt.” It was true though, Kuueru didn’t think maintaining secrecy in the mortal realm would be so difficult. She had made plenty of mistakes thus far and was sure Lute would be unhappy upon his return. But, this time--time just expired on her disguise, perhaps the demon should look into other means of discretion.

Feeling his hand clasp around the Demon's ankle, Riko would retract his limb, quickly bringing them back to his location with no struggle on their part. Were they fine with a stranger roping them in? Or perhaps they commonly had a similar method of grabbing done to them, so it felt natural? Whatever it was, at least it made it easy on Riko's part. Finally having her before him, Riko looked them over, seeing if they were holding any objects, though nothing came to view. So the angry mob from before had not formed due to some thieving mischief, it seemed, just a general disliking of her kind. Noticing her obvious cue to wishing to stand beside him, the Namekian would step aside, allowing her to touch to the ground. With her this close, Riko's nose was attacked by the stench of alcohol, something the woman clearly partook in recently. Well, that was just great. He could have had divinations into the future with anybody else, and it ended up being a demonic drunkard. At least they happened to know that Lute fellow. Probably a good place to start in their chat. Waving a finger behind his back, Riko would cast a simple spell, making it so the pleasant scent of New Namek's plains would instead occupy his sense of smell. Much better. "I don't doubt that anybody's been hurt, demon. If they were, I would have likely noticed, and this meeting would be far less friendly. However, now that you're here I'd just like to ask a few questions. I've been searching for you, after all. Afterwards, to save you the trouble, I can create a portal for your usage to wherever it is you wish to go, and maybe even something else you could ask for. Being a mage, it's no bother to provide you with simple things." Explaining his ability to view into the past and future would probably not be an easy thing to convey to one under the influence, so it would be best to just see if she would spill anything particularly interesting before they left. "Now, firstly, I noticed you mistook me for Lute. I recently have come across that man, actually, so I'm guessing you're friend of his? I'd be interested in meeting him again in the future, so I'm a bit curious. Next, I hope you don't mind me asking, but why are you in your natural form in the middle of a city? That's very dangerous to do, so I'm assuming it wasn't voluntary?"Words: 426 Queen Kuueru

Kuueru was quickly allowed to touch base with the physical ground again. Her lips curled into a smile, shaking the leg which the Namekian gripped so firmly. Getting out the kinks of an already sore and worn body only flared up the waves of pain. She may have been pretty intoxicated, but between the pain and realizing this Namekian was not Lute, she sobered up quickly.
Kuueru ducked behind a billboard which sat with them on the building. She couldn’t allow some human to see her from the ground and interrupt their conversation. It seems if Kuueru had of stirred up drama, his reaction would have been far more negative. Was he one of this galaxy’s heroes? She shrugged the thought as Riko mentioned he had been searching for her. Why her? How did he even know she existed when she only just appeared as a spec in the realm a week earlier. Something about this Namekian worried her, she had to chose her words carefully for the duration of her itnerations with him.
“Why would you want to provide those things for me? What would being a giver all the time do for you?” What was the last sentence he said? Kuueru’s focused intently at the man’s lips. He said mage. Apparently this Namekian, like Lute was a user of magic. Perhaps the entire race of Namekians were the same? She would have to conduct more research later.
“Yes. Lute is a Namekian I met within the demon realm, I scratched his back and he scratched my own; though I would say his situation was a much worse poison ivy.” The demon’s voice spoke earnestly. The tone of her words sounded of a fully matured woman. She didn’t carry the child-like exaggerations on words like most girls her ‘age’ on Earth. They were another cult of terrifying beasts.
“You’re smart, I can say that much Namekian.” The words hissed between her teeth.
“I’m not exactly---the best at this whole magic thing.” Kuueru admitted the truth to the man, she had only recently even attempted to try and harness the energy within. Needless to say after a few centuries of letting yourself rust away, controlling the energy would be like training a child to fly. She was slowly learning more and more daily, but sometimes the surplus of power made it hard for her to dial it down to produce an actual attack or spell.
“Right now I am making use of a camouflage spell I picked up, however I can only maintain it for so long. I guess I just lost track of time….in the bar.” She whispered the last bit of the sentence in shame.
“You, you’re a mage? Amazing. I have yet to meet someone who dedicated the title to themselves. But--Maybe this building---.” Kuueru looked around, it was obvious she felt nervous in her own skin. With no power remaining to maintain the disguise, it was similar to being in enemy territory unarmed.

Nodding along as the Demon answers his questions, Riko gets a pretty good picture of the reasoning for this demon to be here at this moment as they are. They came to the mortal realm thanks to a deal with Lute and are trying to blend in with the assistance of the other Namekian's limited magical potency. They lost their sense of time while drinking away, and here we are. There are some things there that he would have hoped to know more about, as that could explain this woman's importance, but he'd relent for now. "Well, it seems like you've been given a sub par method of concealing yourself. Before we go any further, allow me to remedy this." While saying this, he extends his right hand forward, a small sphere of wood suddenly appearing in his palm that would rapidly grow outwards, changing in shape and coloration leaving an oddly angular mask in his hand. "Now, with this you can disguise yourself as anything of a similar size to yourself, the only real limitation being your imagination. Just remember, it is just an illusory spell and nothing more. Also, to power it, you must allow it to feed on your own arcane energy. Being a Demon, I doubt you'll be lacking in that, and it doesn't require you to have any talent in using magic. If, say, one were to put you in a field that disrupts magic, you could also feed raw ki into it, though that would be far more taxing." Riko himself had no use for the object, as if he ever needed to disguise as something else, it'd be a simple matter to just actually change his physiology or cast an advanced illusion. The mask itself was created years ago merely as a method of practicing his ability to enchant objects, but the Demon would likely be grateful for this small bit of charity. Words: 320 Queen Kuueru

A defeated sigh escaped from azure tinted lips, it seemed that the woman felt insulted by the Namekian calling the method ‘sub-par’. In fact it was actually her own doing and nothing of Lutes. Her brows furrowed with childish annoyance; the demon acted like a spoiled pre-teen at times when she probably shouldn’t have.
“S-Sub-par…” Kuueru mumbled while folding her arms over an ample chest.
“What even is this though? Why does it look like it was a quest reward from a druid in a forest??” The demon judged the gift from the Namekian, but mentally she was curious what this ‘mask’ could actually do. Anything to allow her to let her guard down and remain incognito around the mortal scum would surely aid her cause.
Kuueru reached out and took the mask into her own hand. She flipped it over and noted all of the indents and grooves upon its surface. She wasn’t quite sure how to send her energy to a specific area well, but her magic energy was subconsciously drawn towards the hand holding it.
“Whoa!” In a flash seven different personas and disguises seized her body hostage. Wild arrays of hats and weapons adorned her frame, only to be replaced by something as simple as a revealing tube top the next. It finally ended with the demon hidden beneath her normal tunic and boots. She patted the butt of her beige shorts. Sure enough her body was not gray and creepy! Quickly she checked behind to assure no tail was in sight.
“Holy Hell. That was intense. I thought I didn’t know how to use it; but somehow it just knew exactly what I wanted. Tell me! Do you have more of these magics and illusions!?”
Kuueru seemed like a metaphorical dog groveling over dinner scraps. She slowly leaned in between the conversation and chit-chat. Eyes taking in the man down to the threads covering his body from viewing. He appeared a typical Namekian, but with such powerful trinkets on hand? Why was he just handing them out to strange demons? She could use it for evil, or even against him in the future. Yeah, it was a simple illusion that probably wouldn’t matter in the midst of battle, but Kuueru appreciated any kindness she could collect in this wretched realm.
“I’m sure you sought me out for a reason, I’d be dumb to think we would both end up here by mere coincidence.” The demon waved a perfectly trimmed nail at the Namekian’s midsection. This stranger already had mentioned that he was searching for her. Her cheeks flustered at the thought, she had to shake her head to return to sweet reality.
“What even is your name Namekian? Like anyone who helps another they solely do it for reward, not selflessness. I assume you want something from me? I don’t do bachelor parties anymore, it’s too wild man.” Kuueru winked at the man to ensure him of her ‘joke’.

Shortly after the Demoness took the mask into her hand, she unintentionally filtered through a variety of different appearances, all variations of what looked to be a Human. It seems that the mask was still functioning perfectly after all its time of no use. Good. It would have been very embarrassing if his gift didn't even work. Immediately, the Demon questioned him, asking if he had more magical things such as the mask, enamored by the ease of use and immediately obvious abilities of the mask. He, obviously, did, but while most of his magical artifacts are expendable, there was a limit to his charity. After all, he may need to butter up other people in the future to make them not distrust the mage. "Hahah, of course I do, of course, just the mask is probably the object best suited for your purposes. Perhaps another time I could show them off, but for now let's keep them at that. Ahh, and my name is Riko."When questioned about why he'd seek out the demon, Riko realized that his behavior could be seen as rather bizarre. Suddenly catching her and immediately helping them out rightfully makes him seem suspicious, or at least seeking something specifically from them. "Well, no point in keeping it a secret, I suppose." From the palm of his right hand, a large crystalline orb would phase into existence. Something was off about the object, though, as it appeared to warp and flow around like a fluid below its surface without any external movement from Riko. "You see, I have the ability to divine into the future, though it is not as amazing as it sounds. I can get very, very limited visions, heavily obscured and giving me no real insight into what I'm really looking at bare a few minor details. The reason I bring this up is that I've recently had visions...of you." The orb would suddenly begin to glow faintly, and an image would begin to appear inside of it, depicting a Demonic-looking woman resembling Kuueru, though with how blurry the image is, it is hard to tell. "I am unsure why you've come up, but I have two ideas as to why. The first would be that you're important to my life in the foreseeable future. The problem with that idea is that, if it were not for this meeting, we likely would never meet each other. Thus, my second hypothesis is that you're going to achieve something very important at some time in your lifespan. Perhaps its a warning to me of a possibly universe-altering event you'd commit, it could be that you kill the entirety of my race, you could bring an era of peace, an era of fear, whatever. I've no clue, but that is why I came to meet you. To see if I'd gain any insight from this, or if it's merely something to happen in the future that happens to involve you."Words: 496 Queen Kuueru

Kuueru gazed down to her once more peachy hands while reassuring herself that she was indeed disguised. How could such an item make something so complex so trivial? She huffed at the mask and held it close to her chest. It would seem that the Namekian before her had quite a bit to say, however he started with his name, Riko.
“Ahh. Riko, I wonder, do all Namekians have such short names?” Kuueru proclaimed aloud before introducing herself to the now former strange. “I am Kuueru, obviously a demon as you know. “
He then elaborated his ability, and began to explain everything to the woman. Kuueru had been around fortune tellers and those who claimed to see the future in some way or another. Unlike in the mortal realm, someone claiming to be a mage and a farseer would be highly regarded in her home world.
“So these visions are a warning, but also vague. So, you try your best to quell the situation before it becomes; bigger.” Kuueru speculated her grasp on his explanation. She did have some things she wanted to achieve in her already stretching lifespan. But who’s to say that she didn’t kill the entirety of the Namekian race the next day.
She didn’t feel she would be so brash, nor did she have anything against mortals without a properly warranted cause. Sometimes things happened though, people turned evil all the time in the movies she watched during her time on Earth.
“I came to the mortal realm to explore, Lute just happened to be a tool at my disposal for the time being.” It wasn’t a lie. The Namekian of the demon clan were chained to a rock withering away when she found him. It was only fair he allow her a ride through his portal in exchange for his life.
“I’d like to conglomerate with other mages and magic users to hone my own skills. Perhaps that may affect the future as well? It’s a complex web I’m sure.”
“However, I presume that you are like a sentinel eh? Watching out for any major overreaches in power? Things that might hurt those who are innocent?”
Her suspicions had began to lower about the man. He seems cautious more so than threatening. She didn’t feel he would lash out at her to end the potential of her future self. The one that maybe one day would be wiping out a planet or releasing a demon infestation upon the land.

So this Demon's name was Kuueru. A bit odd to say, to be sure, but infernal creatures usually are odd in general, what with their seemingly barbaric attire and inclination towards being less virtuous. Still, she didn't seem quite all that bad. Going out for a night of drinking in the place of mortals actually seems rather Human.
"Well, I suppose that's a way to put it. Again, I've no true idea about what the visions could mean, but I am unsure why else I'd receive them other than to serve as some type of warning." That is the part that irritated him the most. Seeing the future was such a powerful ability, and yet he had next to no control over it. So much could be revealed to him if only it was as simple to grasp as all other magic. And yet, all he was left with were scraps, a handful of pieces to the puzzle that is the future.
"So Lute is merely helping you, likely for some goal of his own. Yes, he did seem like the kind of person to do such. I won't pry any further into that, though to think that that's the sort of situation he's in..." During their fight, Riko learned that Lute was quite a bit different from the others of his race, but to be a tool for a Demon? This interested him, but it was not relevant at the moment.
"Do not think that I am some great protector. I am merely a loyal soldier of the Galactic Empire. These visions are merely a phenomenon that I think is worth investigating. After all, if I found you attacking an Imperial base or an unguarded city, then the purpose of them would be obvious to me. For now, though, I just know of you and I shall not interfere with your business, as this could merely be a fluke." Riko very much doubted that last statement of his. However, the visions are not entirely clear, so while they may be a scourge, they could just as easily be a tool to reshape the universe for the better. Only time would tell.
Raising his right hand, Riko would motion to the space beside Kuueru, a violet void popping into existence. "Well, unless you have anything more you wish to ask of me, I suppose I better fulfill my promise. If you step through the portal, you will be instantly sent to wherever it is you wish to go. Make sure you have the location clear in your mind, as well, as not focusing on it could bring about unexpected results." Leaving his statement at that, Riko would await what the Demoness was likely to say.

They had finally exchanged names, the pair seeming content in believing the other for now. The demon couldn’t help but feel wary of the Namekian before her, and as he continued talking her suspicions only grew.
“I see. Well, perhaps your visions will one day be of great use to the galaxy. I’m sure you will do good work for the Empire either way.” Kuueru mumbled to the man, her eyes glazing over before she turned towards the dark horizon. The sun was completely gone now, and they were left to part ways soon.
“Yes, Lute is but a help to me, and I assume I am his tool as well. We both work mutually to achieve our own selfish goals.” She hadn’t done anything crazily evil yet. In fact, it were quite the opposite. Kuueru had laid low and managed to avoid trouble during her time thus far in the mortal realm. She even had plans to join the Galactic Empire herself down the road.
“I understand mage. You’re just cautious and wary. You can never tell when someone with power might stray down the path of darkness and chaos. I know it’s hard to take word of a demon in those terms, but I do not plan on causing any trouble, anytime soon.”
Her lips curve into a smile as the mage opened a void in front of the pair. She marveled at it, thinking he would use it as his own escape, but no--he offered her use of the thing.
“Well, it was nice to meet you Riko, perhaps one day our paths may cross again?” Kuueru waved a hand before stepping through the portal. It would of course take her back to her den for the night, where she would rest and recuperate for the next day. Etohn WC: 301 TWC: 2,641
