After a week or two of solid work, Colonel Pricota, deep in her cover as Lieutenant Murowski, was able to examine some of the Galactic Patrol files that were now hers after Gadon transferred command. It took a bit of doing, but Murowski was able to pinpoint the transponder codes that belonged to a mighty war cruiser that had been code named Yggdrasil, in the style of ancient Earth mythology. The Yggdrasil had been the home base of the Dark Ops, an elite group of Galactic Patrol members that engaged in questionable tactics. The Dark Ops members had been highly trained, possessing specific skills and elite talent. Several months before Polaris had initiated his takeover, however, rumor had it that the Yggdrasil had gone dark, and no one knew why. In the file, Murowski, you find additional notation by Gadon. He had apparently intended on finding the Yggdrasil himself and investigating, but with the fall of the Patrol, he had been unable to. In the file, now that you have unrestricted access, you have a list of the information and resources that were on board the Yggdrasil. Apparently, the ship had; Dossiers on politically important figures all over the galaxy. Dossiers on the most powerful ki users in the galaxy. Operational accounts that are nigh untraceable and contain vast wealth. Intelligence about the location of other Dark Ops and special forces units and bases. Advanced cloaking technology. Experimental drugs and training methods designed to increase strength and skill. Bleeding edge equipment and armaments. Schematics for all kinds of advanced technology. Food and material fabricators capable of sustaining the ship for months on end without needing to refuel or resupply. Operations intelligence for dozens of raids and strikes that were planned but never executed. Intelligence on the majority of the major players in the galaxy, including infiltration plans and secret routes into the Dominion, the Crusher Corps, the Kingdom of Earth, and the Galactic Patrol itself. Murowski knows, though, that more than likely, the Yggdrasil will be a hostile location, and that being able to obtain all of those resources is probably not realistic. Other than that, however, you have no information about what will be awaiting you there. Caffey and Liang Bai, you are fellow members of the Valkyries, and Murowski, in her guise as Odin, the General of the Valkyries, has called upon you to assist her in reclaiming what you can from the Yggdrasil. What do you all do? Where do you meet? How do you get there?

<<We've had run-ins with Dark Ops before, Colonel,>> the President's thick North Plantian accent rang in Pricota's head as he transmitted directly via QUENT. Planet Plant's southern hemisphere was more arid, as compared to the relative greenery of the north. As such, where the south relied on industry and urbanization, much of the north was a piece of agricultural work and raw material extraction. The two had fed each other in a symbiotic cycle, with the north shipping food and material south, and the south sending machines, manufactured goods, and educated people north. <<As you are probably aware by now, they are... compatible with us to some degree.>> Quantum Entanglement... a fascinating phenomenon where two 'entangled' particles affected one another, even at vast distances. Having studied and mastered this effect and integrating it into their technology, the Continuum was capable of performing untraceable, interception-proof communications. After all... the process literally involved stimulating subatomic particles inside the recipient's head through quantum entanglement. It wasn't something that could be caught by a psychic screen, since that was a completely different parapsychological principle. That being said, due to their not unreasonable paranoia, these messages were also encrypted, and those making use of this technology needed the proper decryption software installed in their minds as well. Of course, it was software, not hardware. When your brain died, the app died with you. A lot of thought had gone into developing this technology and protecting it from external access. QUENT itself was a minute genetic modification rather than a piece of equipment, and as such, one had to have access to a biofacturing facility to even consider getting one. There was no QUENT communicator to steal. To the degree that it was all contained and maintained, one might even say that it was... 'telepathy' without the use of psionic energy. Pricota, or well, Murowski, holographically disguised as her new identity, Odin, stood at the bridge of the patrol corvette, Swift Justice. A small, sleek vessel that just barely qualified for the term 'ship', it had a small crew of a handful of patrolmen. Well... Valkyries, now, they were. It also had enough room for half a platoon of field officers, in her case, those of Blue Unit with their special equipment. But they weren't present here. Nor was the crew. Instead, the vessel was being flown by a personally crafted AI, 42 Blameless Retardant. This mission required utter privacy. Of course, not even the AI knew the truth, that its superior was a fake patrolman. Thus, the use of such secret communication methods as QUENT. <<Didn't that make it easier, then? I thought we had operatives active within Dark Ops.>><<We do. However, the organization is, much like our own, highly decentralized. Their laboratories underneath Earth Command, for example, were but a subset of their Metagenetics Department.>><<Really now?>> Pricota's eyebrow rose. <<Surely, you didn't expect Captain Tetsuo to be their only guinea pig, did you? There are many others.>> The President cleared his throat, as if to steer the subject in a different direction. <<Now then, as you are the military officer here, I expect you would know which of these assets must be prioritized to ensure the proper functioning of your rebellion.>><<I already have my priorities set, yes.>> Pricota stared out at the inky blackness of space, waiting for the other craft to rendezvous with her own. Once she joined up with Caffey and Atreus' apprentice, Liang Bai, then the three of them could make the jump to the Yggdrasil's present location, and proceed with the retrieval of the assets. <<Excellent. We shall be waiting for your report, then. POTTK out.>>He never did answer her question on why they had ordered her to remain undercover. She didn't exactly preempt him, and yet his explanation that they wanted to ensure that the Continuum received the satisfaction of influencing the annihilation the Saiyan menace seemed offhand, rather than deeply thought out. Had they really become so focused on the idea? Did the Empire really take them so far off guard that they didn't have agents operating within the Ultramarines? But no... If they had wanted, they could have told her to jump ship. She could have been the operative within the Empire, and not... whoever was in there right now. It still didn't make any sense. Pricota shook the thoughts off and turned to the holoprojector. "Any word yet, Blame?""All quiet on the front, All-Father!" The cheery, high-pitched ancillia responded, clearly digging into its role as a servant of Asgard. "The operatives are not yet late, however. We still have five minutes before the designated rendezvous time."Murowski nodded. "That's fine, I suppose," she crossed her arms and reclined into her seat. While she had found the ordeal rather sudden, Caffey’s induction into the Valkyries was something she now saw as an opportunity. Sure, part of it was a duty, and she wanted to help those afflicted under the tyrannical rule of the Empire. While initially conflicted about the idea, in part because it meant Earth would no longer be her primary focus, she had since embraced the idea. She had used her brief downtime between Planet Pepper and now well, having finally selected her Valkyrie codename – Sigrun – as well as hunting down the powerful Potara earrings. She hadn’t tried it yet, but these earrings should allow her to fuse with one of her teammates, creating a new being. Obviously the best case scenario would be if they never got in enough trouble to need to do that, but she would rather have the option in case they needed it. Atreus had told her to meet with one of his friends, another woman named Liang Bai. There sure were a lot of women on this team, weren’t there. She idly wondered if Atreus had intentionally set things up like that somehow, then laughed it off. That was a silly idea, things had just worked out that way, right? She assured herself that it must be the case, otherwise Atreus was a very… Different person than she’d made him out to be. Regardless of how the mainly-female populated team had come into being, Atreus had told Caffey to meet with Bai, and that’s what she was on her way to do. She’d never met Bai before, and didn’t know what to expect, but apparently this was her ride to the meeting point with Odin. Caffey cautiously approached the designated meeting area that she had set up with Bai, nervous but eager to meet another ally. Atreus Colonel Pricota Liang Bai

Though she had spoken at length with Atreus about the matter and been an official member of the Valkyries for a short while now, this had been the first time she was operating as one, and this made her slightly anxious. She had little time to think on it, however, and decided to accept the assignment, knowing that if she were to fight the menace that was the Galactic Empire. She did have time to decide on her codename while she was at it, though, and decided on Hlín, goddess of protection. She had made her way to Planet Plant as quickly as she could on her ship, fitted with the most cutting-edge navigation and detection technologies, it allowed her blind self to actually see through the eyes of the ship, and she would likely never get tired of just looking at the various planets that she passed by. The concept of colour was still a wonder to her, as well as the concept of dressing properly. Speaking of dress, she had decided to go for a change of wardrobe after meeting a stylist who decided she could dress more… stylishly. It was certainly lighter and less ornamental, which was a good thing seeing as she was now a fighter. She’d also changed up her hairstyle after growing it out a bit, and since she was blind, she didn’t have to worry about it getting in her way. She idly wondered if her mentor would like the change. Slowly, Planet Plant would come into sight, the place Atreus had told her to go to. Staring at it, she took note of the look, as she did with all planets, but also decided to download the layout of the planet’s main points of interest, the information allowing her to accurately pinpoint exactly where the rendezvous point was. From the outside, it would just look like a tourist wanting to know where to go, so this was the perfect cover. After doing this, she’d enter orbit and land her ship, doing the necessary procedures for entering the planet as the paperwork came up on her ship’s HUD. After a short while, she landed, exiting the ship while someone quickly made way to help. She merely smiled and shook her head before making her way out of the station with little difficulty. Echo-location was a wonderful thing. She’d navigate through the city, occasionally asking directions from people, who were more helpful to her due to her blindness and allowed her to make her way to where this Caffey girl was meant to be, and five minutes from the agreed meeting time, she was there, a rather inconspicuous place, not in an alley, but away from prying eyes. Caffey would notice a blind girl dressed in modernised robes, who quickly ‘looked’ in her direction and tentatively asked, “Excuse me, would you happen to be Caffey?”

Caffey’s boundless energy often caused her to fidget while idle, and it was even worse than usual today. She couldn’t seem to stop moving at all while she waited for Bai at the meeting place. Constantly shifting from one foot to the other, idly fiddling with the Potara earrings she kept in her pocket. While she was grateful to have the Potara, wearing them was a bit much, and didn’t really match what she wore at all, so she’d decided to keep them in her pocket until a point where they were needed. Besides, they would ideally never need to use them anyways, no reason to advertise that she had the ability to use them, right? Her thoughts wandered as she fidgeted, waiting for her teammate. She was always like this, but it was worse when she was meeting someone new, then it was anxiety and energy together, rather than just an overabundant energy alone. She wished she was fighting, at least then she could direct that energy that flowed out of her somewhere constructive… Or destructive, as her fights tended to go. She nearly jumped when the girl matching Bai’s description spoke. She’d been so caught up in her own thoughts that she hadn’t sensed or heard her approach. She turned around with a smile on her face, trying to appear as friendly as possible. She knew Bai couldn’t see, Atreus had told her that much, but it was more of a habit than anything to appear open and friendly whenever possible. She’d probably picked that up from her hero act, if she was honest to herself. She responded to the girl, energetically greeting her. “ Yeah, that’s me! Caffey! Pleased to meet you. You must be Liang Bai, then?” She was still fidgeting, but at least now it was down to her normal level of shuffling from foot to foot, not at the exaggerated level she’d found herself at before. Having finally met her teammate, much of her anxiety had melted away. Atreus Colonel Pricota Liang Bai

From quite some distance, she had already sensed Caffey’s energy, though she hadn’t known it belonged to her at the time. Now that she finally did meet her, she saw now what that source of nervousness was, and she also sensed as source of considerable power, definitely stronger than herself. Why was everyone stronger than her? She inwardly sighed. No point in getting angry about her strength when she could very well do something about it. Bai herself had been a bit anxious, though not to the point Caffey had been. She was more than a bit self-conscious about her power, or lack thereof, so she feared she might’ve been met with disapproval, but meeting Caffey and greeting the girl, she saw that so far, that wasn’t the case. From what she sensed of her ki now, Caffey was affable and pleasant, if not still a bit nervous, and so Bai decided to try and alleviate at least some of it by being as pleasant as possible. When Caffey answered and greeted her, Bai smiled amicably and bowed, as was ingrained into habit despite knowing hardly anyone did that. Rising from her bow, she spoke, “I am indeed Liang Bai. It’s nice to meet you, Caffey.” She said to her, now extending her hand for her to shake.

Aboard the Ragnarok, one of the most powerful war cruisers in the galaxy, Atreus steepled his fingers. Dozens of data feeds sprawled across the holographic display that hovered in front of his command chair. His AI, Friday, sifted through most of it... and eventually, Friday drew his attention to one bit of telemetry in particular. Atreus' eyes lit up, and he grinned widely. He'd finally found it.
A quick group message. Friends and allies gathered and brought together. It took a couple of hours, and then Atreus, Audrey and Murowski converged on the location of Liang Bai and Caffey, who were meeting for the first time. "I'll take point, if you don't mind, All-Father," Atreus said. At Murowski's nod, he continued. "Friday, my Artificial Intelligence, has managed to find the location of some of her parent systems. I think this might be a lead to something big. The All-Father agrees, so we're going to go scout out the lead. Freya, here, has been briefed on the situation, and will substitute for Odin as the mission lead. I'm counting on both of you... and I hope that, when you get done, we'll have something incredible to share with you."Audrey, Odin has entrusted you with command of the operation and given you the information contained in the files she had deciphered. The mission is now yours to organize. What do you do? Audrey Liang Bai Caffey

Audrey was on her way back from New Namek with her private cruiser Tempest as she had an errand to run there in first place. What she had thought to be a relaxing cruise back towards earth become a race against time as her superior suddenly assigned her the mission due to unexpected circumstances. Fortunately she was given the file for briefing so at least it didn't mean that she had to lead their new recruits blindly. The android's eyes gleaned through file which contain the list of information of Ygdrassil. The only time she read something highly sensitive like this was when she was part of Talos group, her eyes practically light up upon reading potential intelligence on Dark Ops and special forces units and bases. This was exactly what she needed, especially if she needed to pull dark ops for the Valkyries. That said the sudden change meant that Audrey was not as prepared for the mission as she would have preferred. Already the android had informed the duo beforehand that she would be late and when she finally arrived it was already 5 minutes past the time they had agreed upon for rendezvous. It's a good thing she recognized Caffey's energy signature thus making the task to locate the rendezvous area easy even when she's new in the area and pressed for time. "Sorry I'm late Sigrun. Odin had some urgent matter to take care of so I'll be leading the mission now." the android turned towards the female monk. "I assume you're Liang Bai? My name is Audrey but my codename is Freya. Hopefully we'll be able to work together well for this mission." the android nodded towards her before turning to them both. "Since we're behind schedule let's cut to the chase. Our task is simple ladies. We'll be locating Yggdrassil and we'll be extracting information from the area. We have absolutely no bloody clue on what to expect from the region which means we're going in blind. Keep your wit sharp and be on alert for anything."The android paused slightly as she waited for the two to respond so she could address those first. Once she was finished, she continued. "There are various useful information on board the Yggdrassil but what we're looking for are something that would give us the edge over the Galactic Empire. Dossiers on important figures, untraceable operational account that will give us fund, advance cloaking technology, food and material replicators as well as infiltration plans and secret routes into various major players of the galaxy are amongst some of the intel I would like us to get our hands on. If we can't get that, any other intel will do but I stress that we make those our main objective."the android finished. "Any questions?"WC: 467 Atreus, Liang Bai, Caffey

Caffey wasn’t quite sure what to make of Liang Bai yet. It was still very much a foreign concept to her that a fighter could be blind and still be as strong as Bai was. She knew it shouldn’t, at the level they were at your sight was pretty far down on the list of sense that mattered. For now, Bai was too reserved for Caffey to make any measure of judgement about the type of person she was. Caffey simply shook her hand and resumed waiting, somewhat awkwardly, for Odin’s arrival. Freya speaking up made Caffey jump. Not being able to sense her power level always caught Caffey off guard. She had become so used to being able to know when someone as powerful as Audrey was approaching, she’d come to rely on it without even meaning to. Caffey quickly offered a friendly wave and energetic smile in greeting, genuinely happy to see Audrey despite the mild concern she now felt relating to Odin, if something was important enough to miss such a mission.. “ Freya! The only upside to Odin being gone is having you instead!" Caffey quickly became more serious and focused, ready to start the mission now that everyone was accounted for. “ Sounds like we have what we need to get going, then. Information, a plan, and everyone’s here. I don’t have any questions." As they were now ready to go, Caffey pulled the Potara from her pocket, putting one of them one before returning the other to its previous place. Better to be ready to go if she had to use the Potara, after all. She looked to Bai expectantly in case she had any questions.

Bai didn't really think much of her blindness on her day to day life, whether that be fighting or otherwise. She had lived with it her entire life, after all. In a fight, it might as well be non-existent, seeing as her other senses were honed to the point where eyesight was negligible. Still, that did not change the fact that she was the weakest link of the group. She was less experienced, less powerful, and less travelled. She wanted to become stronger, and she definitely had the drive and tenacity to act on that desire, but that did not change the current reality. She was comparatively weak, plainly speaking. After the greeting the girl, she merely stood there. Like Caffey, she wasn't quite sure what to do other than to await for the arrival of Odin. She felt a little bit awkward, subconsciously catching on to the atmosphere as she waited, though she was a bit distracted from that by the warning that another person would be arriving in Odin's stead. Their codename was Freya. It made her wonder what Odin needed to do that was more important than the mission, but she didn't think much on it. The mission was the priority right now. Hearing a voice speak made Bai yelp and jump rather pathetically, looking around for the energy signature that she somehow hadn't sensed until... "Oh. She must be one of those androids Atreus told me about." She thought. She had never met or even heard of androids, and the idea of a person who was absolutely undetectable to her was slightly unnerving. Still, she swallowed down the nervousness and regained her composure, perfectly aware of how she looked just now. At Audrey's greeting, she smiled in the same amicable way she had with Caffey and spoke, "It's nice to meet you, Freya. I am in fact Liang Bai, styled Shiming. My codename is Hlín." She said. After that, she listened to Audrey's debriefing, making sure to keep mental note of absolutely everything that was being told. She nodded slightly as she was told of the information they needed to prioritise. It made sense, seeing as they absolutely could not face the Galactic Empire head on. They needed to focus on gathering information and ensuring their movements remained undetected. By the end of it, she spoke, "I have no questions, Freya. I think we're ready to move."

It was interesting, was it not? Audrey seemed to rub off on her the closer to her she became. Lately, the saiyan felt like she was becoming half-woman, half-machine. From her myriad of cybernetic implants, integrated A.I systems, her robotic arm and now her most recently acquired acquisition—the Hatchiyack Serum permeating her veins—while she was a saiyan warrior through and through, she was starting to feel almost like an android herself. And was that so bad, really? The most important person in her life was one, resulting in her caring little how many similarities she shared with the prosthetic kind. The brown tail at her waist was a badge presenting her dominant saiyan heritage, and her mechanical arm, which she received courtesy of Audrey, perhaps symbolized their everlasting bond. Boarding her own space freighter Veritas, she dwelt in open space. Her location earlier could have been described best as ‘nearby Audrey’. She intended on converging with her prior to receiving the important call in the first place. Of course, she was glad to postpone any other thing she had on her agenda that day in order to oblige a mission. After all, missions entailed combat, and there was only one thing in the galaxy she enjoyed more than fighting. Thus, when one combined those two factors together, it sounded like a blast to her, regardless of how serious the issue was. But she definitely had the capacity to take things seriously, promise! Once she got the gist of it, and was impromptu told she would be needed in the operation due to some changes in the arrangement, she complied and was on her way. ’Master. Shall I set course for the provided coordinates? I recall your orders to be as punctual as possible with all operations pertaining to burning holes in meatbags around the galaxy.’ Said the isolated prosthetic voice in her head. “Mmhm. Let’s get this party started...”——— The extent of which Cipher could suppress her power level may not have been to the absolute extent of being incapable of being sensed Audrey boasted, but she could still get it down to about one without issue. The mischievous nature she hauled with her wherever she went resulted in her listening to the entire explanation from a discreet spot in the vicinity, before finally popping out the moment Audrey finished talking. In that moment, she stopped suppressing her power level. The energy signature was similar—Liang Bai probably would be able to recognize it—but it was notably more than double what the monk would have remembered it being in the past. To say she improved since the last time she was around the others would have been a gigantic understatement. ”Think I’ve kinda sorta met everyone here, yeah? Cipher reporting in, but for those who don’t know my own snazzy alias, it’s Thor—” Pausing, she licked her lips while narrowing her eyes slightly. ”And Mjölnir is hella thirsty.”Indeed, there was some kind of implement on her back. It was entirely concealed by some form of satchel or casing, however, obscuring its exact form. All in all, she enjoyed the task at hand from a pragmatic point of view, too. While she would not inwardly repeat the information funnelled into her brain, she noted that securing this information would be highly useful for them in the future. A solid cause and suspected action, that was all she needed to stow in her mind to know the day was going to be a good day. She just hoped that she managed to startle her allies more than they already had been over such a short span of time... Atreus Audrey Liang Bai | 612 words | 2/2 SM

Cipher Liang Bai Colonel Pricota AudreyOOC: Since Ipo is now back, we're going to have Pricota rejoin the event. We're going to sort of hand-wave the last few posts; all of you are in on the operation and Pricota (who you all know as Murowski) is the one running it.
Most of you have powerful vessels capable of interstellar travel. With such resources at your disposal, making the trek to the Yggdrasil is not completely onerous. What is notable, and different, about the journey, is that your destination is well away from inhabited planets. Your sojourn takes you out into the black, into the void between the stars. The only sound is the hum of your ship's engines and small talk from one another. But that constant bustle of activity, of wind rolling through the plains and cars rolling down streets, the sound of life, is simply gone. As the hours pass and your ships travel faster than light, eventually you slow to normal cruising speeds as your onboard navigation systems determine that you have reached your destination. Looking out of your view ports, you see a gargantuan, circular structure. Lacking nearby celestial bodies to exert much of a gravitational pull, it is drifting further into dark space currently. Your onboard systems are easily able to locate the docks and begin docking procedures. Umbilical tubes extend and form pressure seals, protecting you from the vacuum of space as you venture forth into the facility that the Galactic Patrol had dubbed Yggdrasil. As you emerge into the docking bay, you immediately are struck by the fact that the entire area is bathed in red emergency lights. You can see that several smaller craft, both for transport and combat, are still in the bay. There are several empty spots where it seems that ships left their dock in a hurry. As you approach the large blast doors that bar the way deeper into the facility, a pair of sentry guns pop out of the wall. Red dots light up your bodies as the guns aim towards you. A robotic voice issues from some nearby, hidden speaker. "Transmit secondary security clearance codes."Colonel Pricota, you have the last set of codes used by the Galactic Patrol for Yggdrasil. However, if anyone has remained in Yggdrasil and bothered updating the codes since the rise of the Empire, the codes may no longer work. Make an RP post, and roll 1d100.

Murowski disembarked from the Swift Justice as the little corvette was anchored to the docking bay. Red emergency lights filled the area, a slow rotating ventilation fan in one well-lit duct casting an eerie revolving shadow along the hall. She had only seen schematics of the vessel before, incomplete pieces that didn't tell everything. As expected, with its intentionally sectionalized organization, no one group knew much about the others past a certain level of command. Except perhaps for Yggdrasil itself. Dark Ops' late Director, a man who had been known only as "Father", was likely the only one to truly know all of its secrets... "Alright then," the one-eyed "wizard" cautiously led the way towards the sealed blast door, her eyepatch-cum-tactical scouter scanning the hall carefully. "If I'm not mistaken, we should be coming up on a security checkpoint right about..."Murowski took one last step forward, her foot visibly crossing a virtual line displayed on her HUD. Before her boot even hit the grated floor, the walls slid open to reveal a pair of sentry guns. Laser sights trained themselves in a given pattern on the group's bodies, as the menacingly large barrels swayed with alert precision. "Here," she finished with a certain deadpan tone. "Right about here." Security protocols prompted a clearance code challenge. Murowski didn't even need to vocalize a command. Blame was already a step ahead, flashing the code she'd gotten from the Basement Lab onto her HUD. "A word of warning, everyone," she started, fingers by her waist flexing as if preparing to draw a sidearm for a duel. "These codes are pretty dated. There's a chance that they won't work, and cause these things to fire at us, so get ready to fight if that's the case."Instead of reaching for a sidearm, her thumb found its way to a micro tablet clipped to the left side of her belt, tapping the command to transmit the clearance codes. Bits streamed through the ether toward the nearest code receptacle, inputting the encrypted hexaform clearance code that she had dug up underneath the Earth HQ. This was it... the moment of truth. 9sO0vPWA1d100 | LORD OF STORMS AM I IN HEAVENS HIGH AND CAVERNS DEEP |

Colonel Pricota- Your code goes through without a hitch. The door opens, revealing a hallway bathed in the same red light as the dock. The guns recede into the walls. You see what seems to be some sort of a reception area; counters and desks dot a wide corridor that stretches into the distance. There are signs of struggle here; bullet holes riddle the walls and many of the desks and other furniture has been damaged. Old bloodstains smear some of the walls, but you see no bodies. What do you do? Everyone please make an RP post.

Murowski arrived back from whatever she had been doing, and though Bai was glad that she had managed to deal with the emergence without a hitch, she knew she had to move. They had already wasted enough time staying here and talking, so nothing was said as they went to their ships and headed for the designated location. The sensation of going further and further away from other ki signatures unnerved her. Feeling life just not exist around her left her with a sense of dread, and the only reason she did not feel terribly lonely was because of the others that were around her. They were essentially the ones making sure she was actually anchored to the world, and not in some weird limbo like her mind conjured up in the darkness. She would not speak unless spoken to, content with taking solace in the ki signatures of he companions. And then, they arrived. It had seemed much shorter a trip to her than it actually was, probably because she let her mind wander, or made small talk, or both. She manoeuvred her ship and set it at the docking bay, exiting her ship and taking a few moments to centre herself. She didn't take note of her surroundings, but did take note of the ki signatures of her allies, so she approached them. When within earshot, she would speak, "There's a problem. I rely on echolocation to navigate, but that means tapping my staff on the ground and making noise." She said to them, "I could either continue to use echolocation in spite of the risk, or I could trail behind one of you and the person in front make sure to steer clear of any obstacles. I apologise for being a hindrance, but... I don't see another way." With that explained and out of the way, she waited on their verdict. After saying that, she followed them to the blast doors. She heard things that sounded like weapons, causing her to jump a bit before pursing her lips in irritation. It was very clear to her that this place would be her worst nightmare, especially if the enemies were robots, or anything automated. She then heard the robotic voice coming from a speaker asking for the code, which to her understanding, Murowski had. Then came Murowski's warning. Though she dreaded the prospect of fighting what was essentially an invisible opponent to her, she merely nodded and held on to her staff more tightly, preparing herself for combat. Combat never came. She let out a silent sigh of relief as she heard the doors open and the guns retract, relaxing a bit and waiting to follow their lead. The smell of old blood was there, though... It wasn't pleasant.

When they arrived at the destination the android could not help but notice the stark contrast between their original location and their current position...that was the amount of life signature that surrounded her. As someone who lack such thing, it can be a little suffocating sometimes especially in cities where she was surrounded by millions of people. Now that she's far away from all those and surrounded by the only people that mattered somehow she felt oddly at ease. "Seems to be deserted...if you only count purely organic life forms. There could be androids or machine based lifeforms nearby." The android remarked as she surveyed the area. From the looks of it, whoever owned this place had evacuated the place in an emergency. What prompted such measures was unknown but perhaps the answer could be gleaned from looking further into the base. Of course, a new piece of information came to light that one of their members was actually blind. Certainly Atreus had told her of Liang Bai but her disability, she was quite unaware. So understandably the android glanced at the woman with a look of concern. "Hold on, so you're legally blind? Shouldn't you be feeling us up then?" Humans usually use their eyes to identify another and where visual fails, their voices comes next. Granted she heard that Bai had a martial artist background so she would be capable to sense their ki...however that does not apply to the android in question. She could be knocked out and unable to respond to her calls during this mission, making identifying her difficult. The sudden appearance of the sentry bots requesting clearance code cause her to pause as she prepared herself for battle. While trying to hack the machine was an option she considered, it would require some to attract the attention of the bots she considered. So instead she prepared a defensive shield in case things went south. It didn't, thankfully enough. The door opened to reveal a scene of battle, one where there were signs of struggle everywhere. Bullet holes and bloodstains, judging by how they were dried up by this point, they indicate that whatever transpired here had happen a long time ago. Oddly enough there were no signs of bodies though. "There appeared to be plenty signs of battle but no bodies. Think the survivors dragged the corpse somewhere?" the android posed the question to the group. Atreus Cipher Liang Bai Colonel Pricota WC: 400. (+1 SM)

The door of her personal freighter, Veritas, opened with a mechanical hiss. What a boring, uneventful trip that was. Accompanied by nought but the hum of their engines and their allies’ energy signature, there was nothing to do besides navigate and wait. Emerging and following the leader, she took note of her surroundings and the red light washing them over. Quaint. Liang Bai revealed her inability to coordinate without essentially announcing to area they were there. Fantastic. Cipher’s eyes were drawn to heavy clicking and clanking. Huge sentry guns stared back at her before she looked at herself, noticing crimson dots lining her figure. Judging from her apathetic expression, the weapons failed to scare her. Cipher turned an eye towards the boss, and then back towards the door itself. Murowski alerted them that they were running dated codes, and should those dated codes prove insufficient, they would most likely all be turned into Swiss cheese. The saiyan cracked her neck, cracked a knuckle, and waited for the worst case scenario. No gunfire, no combat, no death. Despite the positives, tension hung in the atmosphere and Cipher stayed on guard. Audrey flirted with the idea of the bodies being dragged, but they needed more information than what they received at first glance. Instead of entering the room, Cipher kept behind Murowski. Charging without a modicum of knowledge of the place seemed stupid and she possessed little interest in triggering something unfortunate. Therefore, she stayed put and instead offered her two cents without investigating the room until the operation leader deemed it safe. ”Maybe, but if they were dragged or moved, I’d imagine there would be some form of residual spatter on the floor, and it seems isolated to the walls. I think we need to take a closer look, see if we can find any tell-tale signs.” Atreus Audrey Liang Bai Colonel Pricota

The welcome wagon consisted of a bloodbath, with one major difference: the ones who should have been bathing in blood weren't there. There was plenty of evidence to match internal struggle, though. Liang Bai pointed out that there was the problem of her visual impairment, and how going about on her own way would be noisy. The alternative of following behind someone likely limited her effectiveness as well. Still, that was nothing a little modern technology couldn't help with. "No worries. I think I've got something. Give her a hand, Blame," the one-eyed "wizard" said. An orb of blue light flitted out from beneath her cloak, a virtual construct hat would serve as the blind warrior's guide. This orb fired a low-visibility beam into her forehead, where it would give her appropriate sensory data. Essentially, it would serve as her 'eyes', much like a guide dog. Utilizing its own sight, and then relaying what it saw to its user, translating it into something she could comprehend. By default, it assumed congenital blindness, and so stimulated the parts of her brain that would react to other input - in this case, auditory. "It should serve as a stick for you, but keeping the sounds to you alone. I hope that helps." Murowski turned her attention back to the issue at hand: the mystery of the missing bodies. "I don't like the looks of this." Machines could still be lurking here. The machines might even be under the control of some organic. If nothing else, it was safe to assume they weren't alone. "Let's proceed with caution."And by caution, she meant running a preliminary scan. "Blame, see what you can spot out for us," another blue orb rose from beneath her cloak. Odin muttered a brief command phrase. "Huginn to the hanged, and Muninn to the slain." So did the orb split in two, each half taking the form of a miniature virtual raven, to fly into the room and provide a quite literal bird's eye view of reconnaissance. Virtual programs were useful, realized data that didn't normally interact with most sensors. But this being DarkOps, it was best to be wary nonetheless. Careful flight paths that kept an eye out for cameras, laser tripwires, and such... Worst case scenario, they could serve as canaries to take the fall instead of anyone here who was important - that was to say, alive. "Let's see if we find anything. Once we get the all clear, we move in." | LORD OF STORMS AM I IN HEAVENS HIGH AND CAVERNS DEEP |

As you continue into the labyrinthine facility, you come across a large, sturdy blast door. The amount of power it would take to break through this door might well blow a big enough hole that it invited in the vacuum of space. Thankfully, Murowski has sufficient access to Yggradsil's systems to bypass the security, which she does, entering in a command to the computer. As the door slide open, something happens. A hologram springs to life in front of you. It's a full color rendition of a humanoid male in his middle years. It begins to speak to you. "Hello. If you're reading this, I have to warn you, you already can't trust anything that I might say or do. My name is Captain Mills. I was one of the leaders of the field agents here at Yggdrasil. Everything... everything went wrong.
The Patrol fell. The Empire took over. We were isolated... we didn't know what to do. Some of us wanted to cut and run and hide. Some of us wanted to fight. But the information we had... the technology, the bio-weapons... it was dangerous. There was debate over what we should do with them.
That debate turned to violence.
There was a fight over what should be done about Serenity. Serenity was a chemical that had been in development; it was a bio-agent designed to completely alter the behavior of the inhabitants of aggressive worlds, making them calmer, docile. It had about a fifty percent success rate. However... if it wasn't successful, it did the opposite. It increased the aggression and ruthlessness of those affected by exponential values, removing their normal moral code and societal inhibitions. It turned people into monsters.
In the fight over what should be done about it, a vial of Serenity was broken. We were infected.
It became a bloodbath almost immediately.
I was neither made docile nor aggressive. I did what I could to save all I could. As soon as we were away, the ones that were turned aggressive began fighting among themselves. I stayed to try to save them...
At least, that's what I told myself.
The truth is, it looks like I'm just slightly resistant to Serenity, but I am infected. I have become more ruthless, but slowly. I hope that what I'm telling you now is accurate, because I've begun to doubt my ability to trust my own mind and emotions. If you find this message, I urge you... destroy Yggdrasil. Anyone remaining on this station will be little better than a sadistic madman bent on breaking you.
Please... I don't want to hurt you."The hologram fades. The complex lies open before you, bathed in crimson light, seeming to beckon you into uncertainty. What do you do? Audrey Cipher Liang Bai Colonel Pricota

Bai waited on the other three to give a description of the place. Though she could smell old blood, it didn't tell her much other than the fact that there was combat here. If she wanted to find out more, she'd have to use her hands and touch everywhere, and she'd rather not touch old blood or maybe even a bone. Fortunately, her two partners were rather articulate in their description of the place or at least of what was causing the smell, so she wasn't left in the dark. She hated being left in the dark. How was she meant to do anything if she didn't know what was in front of her? Audrey was the first to speak to her, surprised that she was actually blind and suggesting feeling them up. She thought on it for a moment, before saying, "Yes, I am legally blind. I can't see anything. As for feeling people up, I usually don't need to, because I can easily single out ki signatures and associate them with people. I can't do that with you, though, so I may actually have to do that..." She trailed off. She didn't want to just feel Audrey up out of the blue, and right now didn't seem like the best moment to do it. She'd still leave it up to the android's jurisdiction, though. She continued waiting for the verdict of her teammates, but Murowski seemed to have come up with a suitable alternative. She waited for whatever the woman would do, but did not expect a beam into her head. She flinched slightly before she received a dump of information in the area in the form of auditory input. Realising this was Murowski's doing, she smiled and said, "Thank you, Murowski."After that, it was time to adress the concerns of Audrey and Cipher in regards to what could've happened to the bodies. At that, she spoke, "I could track the smell of blood with my nose, if there is any. I hear a lot of things escape the naked eye, so I might be able to find something." She suggested. Though Bai's auditory and ki senses were the more obvious enhancements, it was easy to forget her nose was also great. How else would she know if food was rotten or something of the sort? Murowski did something else with her AI, scanning the area and allowing them to continue with less fear of being killed by some sort of trap or automated defence. She stopped as the visibility beam indicated a wall in front of her, likely a door of some sort. She was proven correct as the door opened, likely Murowski's doing. She heard something come up. A transparent person she couldn't sense... a ghost? No, wait. It was one of those hologram things. Ghosts wouldn't show up here, would they? The hologram then began to speak, and she thought he sounded a lot like an actor who's name she forgot. Not like she was interested in movies. But movies were the least of her worries as the man relayed information of just what had happened. By the end of it, she frowned, doing her best to mask her concern. "I don't think this will stop us from completing our mission, but this also poses the risk of us being infected as well. Unless the vials were all destroyed and had their chemical makeup decomposed by now, it could happen to us as well, not to mention the people we might need to fight..." She said to them.
