This is a world where magic and monsters are all too real. Thus the Reaper -yes, the one- has gathered promising people for the endless task of keeping the world together. They are called the DWMA, Death Weapon Meister Academy, and alone they stand against creatures who desire destruction. Kishin Eggs are monsters that consume pure souls in a mad attempt to become Gods. Of course, there are regular monsters as well: werewolves, vampires and so forth... just as bad, hunt humanity as food. And Witches? Oh don’t even get me started... They are the worst of the lot, seeking to shove the whole world into chaos. For fun.

Then again, the hope of humanity isn’t exactly helpless either. You see, this is also a world where a person’s soul is everything. With proper training it’ll grow and grant power beyond wildest imagination. What kind of power, hm? That is determined by desire. Weapons and Meisters are the greatest example, teams of extraordinary humans who resonate with each other. If their desires match, they both grow stronger. Simple, no? Those who seek peace and balance will find great strength in cooperation. And those who don’t? Heh heh heh... Well, you’ll see.

Now, what can you do? More than you think. You see, a mere year ago, the DWMA won a grand battle by the skin of their teeth. Their resources are stretched pretty thin at the moment. They’ll need all the help they can get. After all, it would be a shame if someone struck them at their weakest... Hey, don’t go getting any ideas just yet! There is one more thing you need to know... Strange rumors murmur that the Coven of Witches has split into two factions with a new queen to boot. Witches are chaotic enough without dragging the whole world into their civil war. Someone has to win before everyone loses.
