How long has it been since Will had been in actual combat? He is unsure, but he has been taking a break from combat for a while to continue his meditation and finding inner peace. After all rest well is a part of the mantra of the Turtle School which Will takes to heart. Just endlessly training and fighting would put too much strain on the body. It's important to take breaks to let the muscles develop and enjoy life when you can.
So Will has been spending time in the Sacred Land of Korin surviving off the land ever since. Not to say that Will hasn't been doing absolutely nothing. He has managed to perfect the After Image technique which he embarrassingly was unable to use before. Thankfully his battle with Arashi managed to help him figure out how the technique work. Funny, Will wanted to have him as a student but yet the student taught him something. Perhaps that's not a bad thing though for a master and pupil relationship.
That would mean both of them would be able to grow equally. That could also be an important reason to be able to remake the New Turtle School, not just so he could grow, but so that he can help others grow as well. While he hasn't unlocked any fancy transformation Will has already broken through many of his limits and is one of the strongest people on Earth. Right now he is one of it's greatest defenders, but for now he is relaxing at a moment of peace.
But in the back of his mind something is wrong, whether it be instinct or just some paranoid thoughts in the back of his mind. As if something is lurking nearby. Something unnatural that could disrupt the balance. Whatever the feeling is Will is always ready to defend himself from whatever is coming. Even if to the untrained eye he seems to be completely oblivious to everything around him.

After having beat Legume, Red Herring was curious about how powerful of an opponent she could actually stuff into her Dream Dimension. While she was ki-blind, she could deduce that the time-traveller was insanely strong by how hard his attacks hit her, and if it weren't for some last minute luck, she would've lost, she believed. Although, despite that, she had confidence. Even if it was for the last minute luck, she had still won entirely on her own accord. She had noticed that there was a certain martial arts master around - one with the gi of the legendary Turtle School. After further snooping around locally, it didn't take much for her to find that this cat was actually immensely strong and renowned as one of Earth's Defenders. And someone that powerful would do perfectly as yet another test subject for her experiment. The girl tracked him to the Sacred Land of Korin, although her presence might've become obvious to him as she approached due to that she is unable to conceal her own ki signature. The former Kai would approach him straight-on, apparently not caring about any bystanders or spectators, and unsheathe her blade in front of him with a loud metallic sliding noise. "Will!" she would call out, and point her hooked sword at him, attempting to show to him that this was a clean, albeit overly aggressive, challenge by not trying to covertly ambush him. "Prepare yourself, for I have here today to defeat you in battle." "Let me introduce myself. I am Red Herring, child." she would then state and putting herself into a swordsman's stance, holding her blade in front of her. "You can consider me a fan of yours, Will." "Now - have at you!" she would declare and pounce towards him, attempting to slice him with her Ki-enhanced blade that seemed to 'glitch' in and out with its time-based enhancements. BATTLE TRACKER

It was then that Will could immediately since someone coming towards him, as if the sound of them unsheathing their blade wasn't bad enough. They then found themselves being called out to by this long haired girl with a sword. They also seemed to have known about Will which is why they wanted to fight them. Makes sense since Will did save former King Ches on two occasions though he didn't realize he was making a name for himself. He wasn't there just so he could get recognition or glory he was there cause there not many people able to help. Although what did bother Will was being referred to as a child. "Little lady I'll have you know I am over 400 years old, I'll appreciate if you referred to me with the appropiate honnorifi-" Will was cut off from his explanation as Red Herring immediately started the battle. Will managed to back up, but managed to get a slash from the blade. Although no actual damage was given as it barely scratched Will's skin. He begin to feel strange as he finds everything around him from his point of view beginsto "glitch". However his lucky coin begins to shine as he finds as that he is normal again. Although he makes note that despite being more then twice stronger then this goal she has a very odd ability that Will must watch out for. "I'm really glad I bought this lucky charm, I would rather we take this fight somewhere more desolate then to ruin this beautiful landscape again. Follow me if you want to fight me." Will said. He then zoomed off into the sky and flew to the nearest bleak and barren valley they could find to fight. Will began to do some stretches before. He then decided the best way to finish this was quickly, she didn't seem to be an ordinary girl something was definitely off with her so she would definitely survive this. Will begin to sway his arms and cup them together before jumping up in the air against the Sun. His muscles begin to bulge as his small frame gets slightly bulkier as he surrounded by a blue aura. "KAME...HAME...HA!" he yells out as he launches out a Kamehameha using all of his power behind it. The impact would leave a massive crater even if she manages to dodge the full blast and would perhaps get caught up in the explosion of the attack. BATTLE TRACKERSUMMARY

Considering how obscenely old Red herself was, she didn't bear any mind to the cat's complaints - 400 years old wasn't much at all when compared to her various hundreds of millennia of age, although most of that time had been spent doing the most boring and routine of tasks that Heaven could offer. Until she became a Kai of Time that is, when things got a lot more interesting. "...Follow? Heh. Very well, cat. Let's go." she replied with satisfaction and a nod. If he was this open to a fight then she felt like things were going to be a lot more easier to have this be sporting rather than overly deadly. She had little interest in actually killing this little creature, after all, if he was dead, she wouldn't be able to test her Dream Dimension on him. "A Kame-hame-ha, eh?" she then said, once she saw the critter start to charge up the beam attack. She shook her head and wagged a finger at him. "That won't do." she replied, and once the attack went flying, she intercepted the attack with the blade, taking on the main brunt of the attack but then making a powerful slash to send part of the blast right back at Will. But, using that return of his attack as a distraction, she zoomed towards him with ridiculous speed, attempting to slash him with her katana that was blazing hot from the velocity, with the echoing of clock ticking surrounding her, evidencing the time magic that this technique was using. Just as Will anticipated she managed to survive the attack, although she also managed to deflect some of it in the process. Will attempted to dodge but then seemed to glitch again like earlier and suddenly the attack managed to hit anyway. Thankfully it didn't do as much damage as Will was expecting. Although he doesn't think his body would be able to prevent damage from anymore attacks. This be troublesome, she is quite a tricky opponent. Also she most likely has some ulterior motive for attacking Will. Something other then wanting a good fight. Her aura doesn't read one that loves the thrill of battle. In fact a lot about her aura is off. He can feel it but something about it is strange, as if she isn't actually alive. He tried to dodge the burning blade but it ends up hitting as the blade manages to hit. It burns into him, but he begins to strange echoing sound of a clock. That seems to be coming from Red Herring. Will then realized what type of powers she has. "So you have the ability to manipulate time? I suppose I might have to use my own magic against you." Will said. He then placed a protective spell on himself in order to prevent himself from being affected by her time magic more. He was then surrounded by a blue bubble of Psychic energy as he launched forward towards Red Herring in it in an attempt to hit her. BATTLE TRACKERSUMMARY

Red Herring was pushed around by the psychic attacks that the feline was sending at her, but she endured and finally managed to get on her feet again. "You have magic as well? Interesting. It's not common for people to have it." she chuckled. "Quite different from ki now is it? But I find that knowing some ki abilities to be useful as well - 'the best of both worlds', as to say." "For example..." she started off, to then float towards him with her hands on her head. "Solar....!" But then, she rapidly moved in front of him to get a better aim for her attack. "FLARE!" she then declared, making a blast of light surge forth from her body in an explosion of energy. Then, attempting to take advantage of his (expected) sudden blindness, she would attempt to slash him with her blade, having read time itself in order to make her attacks uncannily accurate. "So, cat." she would then start off, making a smug smile. "I'm sure you have better attacks than these, no? You are quite the famous little being, what happened to the Kame hame ha of before? Got no more ki for it? Cat got your tongue?" The little girl would then gesture with her hand towards herself tauntingly. "I'm ready for whatever you've got. You don't need to hold yourself back against me - consider me a worthy opponent. I may not have your fame, but I believe myself to be quite the capable combatant, chil- cat." BATTLE TRACKER

It seems that even with his psychic abilities he was able to push Red Herring around with his Psychic Rush attack Red Herring received no damage. All Will needs to do is to keep her on the defensive. Her time magic can't last forever. There must be a limit for how long it can last. Therefore once Will is feeling "normal" again then he can proceed to go all out, but not yet. He just needs to use weaker attacks in the mean time and give her a false sense of security. Will finds himself blinded by Red's use of the Solar Flare technique. And find himself hit by several more sword slashes giving him more scars from her attacks. And Red proceeds to be cocky and mock Will for not using any of his bigger attacks. He's only conserving Ki cause she messed with him with time magic, and now that he has been blinded it's going to be even harder to hit her. And Will certainly didn't appreciate that wordplay she used to belittle him. "You seem to enjoy mouthing off to your opponent more then you do enjoy fighting? Tell me, why did you decide to fight me? Due to your name I am guessing probably Neo Red Ribbon or someone affiliated to them. Or is there some more personal reason you are fighting me? Cause everything about you is off, including your aura." Will explained. He then casted a spell which would summon a strange mercurial slime that would begin to stick to Red as Will then proceeded to telekinetic-ally pick up every single small pebble and strengthened them with psionic energy and fling them towards Red Herring. Will's anger is starting to build up from this fight with the way his opponent is acting and the frustration of losing again to an opponent weaker then him. In order to prove himself he is worthy of becoming a master he must be an example of how strong one can be when they train hard enough. Will may have had his victories but his failures outweigh them, and he doesn't want another one added to the pile.

"Aha. I enjoy both to be honest." she replied with a smug grin. "But just for the sport of it."
"And, I wanted to fight you because you seemed like a worthy opponent" she said, not saying the whole deal of it, such as that she wanted to see what happened when she locked him into her Dream Dimension, because that would ruin the purity of the experiment. Of course, it would be suspicious that she would've attacked him at all, but she hoped that her excuses would do. "I'm actually not affiliated with Red Ribbon." she then stated to then make a shrug. "I just like the color Red too." "And, my aura? Off?" she wondered as she tilted her head, not sure what he was talking about. She was currently ki-blind, so she had no idea about how other auras were like, not even her own. "Might just be your imagination" she chuckled, not wanting to admit that she was clueless, but suspecting that he might be picking up on her true eldritch nature, that she was a Shinjin without its core essence - divinity, some kind of bizarre ungodly abomination.
"But this won't be your imagination!" she then declared, as she shone the sun into his eyes again to then dash past him with extreme speed again.

"Almost everything you said was a lie, I don't need to read your aura to know the telltale signs of a liar. Subtle shifts in how you were you talking, and moving were all I need. Although you were telling the truth about not being with the Red Ribbon I could tell that and that answers that question, but you're keeping something from me. Something that you don't want me to know as if you came to fight me specifically for some reason only you know. You really shouldn't lie so much, after all the stress from lying so often can give you stress wrinkles and stress could also give you acne problems like that zit on your nose." Will said. A record screech could be heard as he rewound herself to repeat what she had said, to then return to the present, in sequence, to explain what she had said before. "Prepare yourself, for I have here today to defeat you in battle." "You see Will, I am indeed here to defeat you in battle."

"I actually am a fan of yours. I wouldn't have bothered to be here today to fight you if I weren't adequately impressed by who you were."

She hasn't told him why she wanted to fight someone powerful like him in particular, but that didn't take away that she did in fact wanted to fight someone strong, just like he was. It was true, albeit overall she was being very technical about what was a "lie" - uttering something that isn't true, ignoring how misleading she was being, preying on that lies and fallacies are different things to mock the cat.
She shrugged. "Would that do? Or do you need me to humiliate you a bit more with how you are incorrect?" she chuckled, before putting herself into a combat stance again towards the time-bound cat, who was visibly halted and impaired by the lingering effects of her time magic.

Admittedly the whole rewinding herself to say things she said earlier was very creepy. Although she is right that why she is here has to do with Will's skillset, but for what ulterior motive? Whatever the reason Will regains his composure and pushes back the frustration he was feeling earlier and remains calm and stoic. She is just trying to play mind games with Will so she would be regain the upper hand. However the fight is far from over for Will. It was then due to her time magic messing with Will's body that he was struck by several more blows as the burns starts to get worse. He finds his vision coming back to him just in time too. He reaches into his bag to grab out a Senzu Bean and pops it in his mouth and crunches it. The healing effects begin to kick in as most of Will's scars and injuries disappear. And he managed to regain some energy too. He began stretching for a bit after this pick me up gave him a much needed boost. "Yeah sorry about the pimple thing by the way, must've been my mistake. Honestly with all of the red you are wearing it must've messed my eyes up a bit. Almost like you're a walking sit." Will said. Now Will would normally never insult a woman. Although since this girl keeps insulting him, came to attack him from his peaceful break, and is most likely evil. He is willing to make an exception here. Plus if she gets angry it will most likely throw her off. A calmer mind would make fewer mistakes. After burning Red Herring just as hard as she burned Will he proceeds to use telekinesis to lift in his staff in the air and move around with his mind and proceed to have it attack her as if he was wielding it.

I'm not too sure if my zits or not are quite important right now." she chuckled, before glancing at her face in the reflection of her blade, worried if what he had said was actually true or not, having been paying more attention to the fight than if he was lying or not. She then re-sheathed her blade as the cat ate his Senzu bean, ready to take on a revitalized foe with a different approach..
The little not-Shinjin then cartwheeled in the air to avoid the now-incoming staff, being able to nearly predict where the staff would be next - after all, she was quite the dodging specialist, and she did her moves with her hands held behind her back. "That won't do, cat." she replied, to then take advantage of the concentration that was necessary to perform psychic powers to get closer to him and kick him in the torso unexpectedly. After flying away, the girl would then rotate her shoulders a bit and hold her hands on her hips. "Cat. You seem to be in a lot worse shape than I am - that Senzu has only delayed my inevitable victory. Banter aside - you have been a good foe until now, and I respect your strength." she mentioned. "If you wish to surrender to me now, I will honor your decision and let you go. I do not wish your death, and you cannot rely on Senzu Beans forever to keep on fighting me." After being beat up by the cat, she doubted that she would be actually able to perform a good experiment even if she did manage to defeat him and send him to her Dream Dimension. She wasn't going to outright admit that though, hoping that the cat would just leave instead. And she was indeed proud and didn't want to just surrender herself and leave - she stubbornly, and quite childishly, wanted to win. BATTLE TRACKER

Will was able to noticed when she looked into the reflection of her blade and let out a grin knowing that she actually fell for that. Even though she managed to dodge Will's attacks Will remained composed and calm. Even after receiving many more sword slashes and only being able to dodge a few. It looks like as if this woman is going to be winning this. Will has noticed that the time curse that was placed on him was begging to wear off, signalling that it was time to enact his plan. "You're acting extremely cocky, thinking like you have already succeeded even though I still have much fight in me left. And all of this time you never considered multiple factors. Like how come I haven't been using much Ki when I still had much left. Either you were ignorant of that or you are unable to sense Ki for one reason or another. All of this time I could've launched another big attack but you never asked why, and never considered that I was perhaps waiting for the right moment. And that moment was coming sooner then you think." Will said. He then used his magic to increase the amount of Magic Slime currently clinging on Red Herring, of course this wasn't his strategy as it was just an extra precaution since Will noticed she was slowly healing her wounds over time and needed something to counteract that. No, his strategy was coming right on schedule. Near where Will and Red Herring was battling he arrived, Will's guardian spirit Dragon Soul. While Will was suffering the time curse Dragon Soul has been building up and charging up energy and managed to completely dwarf the energy Red Herring has in comparison. And if she is truly unable to sense Ki then Dragon Soul has an even greater chance of hitting her. Dragon Soul looks at Will's opponent with a large orange flame like aura flaring around him. After scowling at her for a bit he disappears for a bit before reappearing behind her with blazing speed. He then unleashes a powerful barrage of punches with each punch packing a lot of energy that he has been charging up while Will was distracting her.

He was right, she actually couldn't sense ki. But she wouldn't openly admit that. "I see you'd still got tricks! Good, good. I find your health to be more of a concern though, but if you wish to continue, I will take that invitation to." she replied, as she braced herself for his next attack against her, unsheathing her blade and putting herself back into her swordsmen stance to be ready to take on anything that he would throw at her. And there it came, a barrage of strikes came right at her, and she deftly used her blade to block every single strike - taking on the impact but preventing it from doing any further harm to her. Her eyes widened, this amount of damage was insane in comparison to what he had been tossing at her before, but she wouldn't let this dissuade her from the fight. Rather, she made another observation about him. "Remember that barrier you had?" she mentioned, after the hits. "It's gone. You see, cat. I have been waiting too. It would've been pointless for me to toss this spell before, but now, I know that the defenses you had for it are down. And so will you be cat! Behold!" Her blade started to shine with time power, echoing clock-ticks started to loudly crescendo from it as she charged up her final blow. "You could've gotten away, but you've chosen to stay, cat. Will thought he had the upper hand, even when Dragon Soul overpowered her and made some damage against. He ended up caught in her strange time magic. Will found himself in a strange void. He tried to clear his mind hoping to think of a way out. But one thought in his subconscious was made. "I miss the old days." Will then found himself on a sunny beach, the sounds of seagulls squawking in the air. He turned around to think a pink building with the red letters Kame on the side. Kame House it's here, as if nothing happened to it. What trickery is this? Will then heard the laughter of an old man he knew all too well from inside the house. Master Roshi, no it couldn't be. Did the woman sent Will back to his own time? Is he as strong as he was before? Could he prevent the death of Roshi and his fellow students. He ran towards the door and was close to opening. But then he hesitated, is this truly what he wants, what if he ends up messing up the future, is this even real? "I...I don't want this." Will said. And as he said this everything breaks around him like glass as he is back in the void he was in previously. He knew this was too good to be true. It was all a hoax made by that woman's magic. A lie just like everything that comes out of her mouth. Tears run down Will's face as he realizes this. "I don't know what you were trying to accomplish but I don't give a damn. Master Roshi is dead and there is no way back to the past. Even then perhaps it's for the best, what happened has happened. We can all look back at the past and want to change it. But what everyone needs to do is look towards the future to make the present better. Now if you don't mind, I would appreciate if you let me out of this place."
