It was a calm, tranquil day on the blue planet known as earth. Leaves rustled in a grassy field where a singular human sat meditating under a small tree. This human was none other than Thast, a young martial artist who had made it his lifes goal to become the strongest man on the planet, and his world's sole protector. In this daunting journey he would not be alone however, for two souls were linked to his own. One such soul was the ancient martial artist Yin, a being of pure goodness, radiance, and light. The other soul dwelled within the dark depths of his stomach, his power was vast but dark and dreadful. This other being was known as Yang. Together, the two of them would try to make Thast as powerful as possible, all the while trying to persuade the man to pick a side: Light or Dark. The earthling had contemplated this in the past, but decided not to take a stance as of yet. While Yin offered him considerable power, she was not quite as strong as her brother. And while Yang offered him his power, he was a far darker man than his sister. These would be the very thoughts scattered throughout his mind as he would rest in the flower filled field. Thast would stand up from his meditation, it would be time for some light training. His master Dain wouldn't approve of lollygagging, and to many Saiyans meditation was a time waster. He would close his eyes for a moment and speak to the spirits locked inside his mind, "Well. We have work to do you two. Time for a bit of training..." two yawns could be heard inside his mind as he woke the twin spirits. The dark one would grumble, "I suppose it's about time we got back to the action. Who are we going to kill...?" The other voice would be light and feminine "We're not killing anyone Yang. Thast is going to train in this field. It's as simple as that." Thast did understand what yang meant. Having a training partner would have helped him become much stronger, even Dain would have agreed with this, but no one seemed to be around when he needed them. The young man would look up into the partially cloudy sky and take a deep breath. He knew how he needed to train. Dain taught him that much. A blue aura would explode around his body, blades of grass would begin to tear themselves out of the ground from the sheer shock of his energy. The earth would rumble as Thast charged up as much ki as he could muster. This was the way he needed to train, like he was fighting, to push himself to his limits and beyond. Inhaling deeply, we would direct both his arms into the sky and begin charging an orb of blue ki in between his hands. Locking his eyes on the nearest cloud, he would fire a mighty energy blast into the stratosphere. The sky would seemingly clear itself in the fallout of the man's attack, but this would only be the start of his training. "Looks like the sky is clear. Time for a bit of acrobatics."

Lettice curled up in a ball. She was tired. Perhaps that is what that strange creature was, just a figment of her imagination. Her pod, just like every other one, was tiny but it fit her perfectly. As it reached up into the sky it dangled for a moment just before it went through pre-flight checks. "Maybe that orange thing was a spirit. Perhaps it was sent to warn me? A sword in his stomach? Quite odd." she thought for a moment "Was it even a he? I mean, it had a boys voice" shrugging her shoulders Lettice decided it wasn't worth the fuss. "ALL SYSTEMS NOMINAL PREPARE YOURSELF FOR DEEP SLEEP DEPARTURE IN T-Minus 10 SECONDS" the robotic voice chimed in her ear of her slightly broken scouter. Yawning, she continued to lie there, waiting for inevitable lift off. Her small pod was littered with junk drinks and wrappers from food. Otherwise it didn't smell. It was just how she liked it, on the border of tidy and small disaster of a mess. "3...2...1... LIFT OFF" The robotic voice chimed. She could feel it in her body, the pod was blasting off into space and hitting the various barriers of this planet. It shook... it was like rocking a baby to sleep. Her blue eyes closed. It shook... a bit rough but that is pretty normal. IT SHOOK... and suddenly a huge crash as if a train had hit her pod. A blue light. Parts of her pod flying every which way. Was the blue light ki? Was it the sky? She couldn't tell. The seat in her pod ejected, or rather the pod was so blown up that her seat was all that was left. Strapped to it Lettice tried to unbuckle as she hurdled towards Earth. She could see very clearly the blue streaks from a ki blast below. Her military training kicked in. Lettice did a front spin, still seated in this metallic chair she was stuck in "Screw it" she said to herself. Putting her hand between her legs she ki blasts with a bright yellow flash and blew her pilot seat into pieces. Lettice levitated for a moment. The kind of moment one needs to catch their berrings to really collect what the hell just happened. It was quiet... no longer the loud bangs and explosions from her pod. However, she watched from a distance as it blew up into small enough pieces that even the best engineers couldn't fix it. Turning around she faced the area where she saw the blue ki blast came from and flew directly towards it. It was in the field. On the ground. She could sense the beings energy and she slammed down ten yards away from him in something akin to a super hero landing. Standing up in her weighted clothing that doubled as her official Saiyan military garb she reached into her pocket and pulled out her identification "You have tampered with an officially sanctioned Saiyan vessel! Who are you and why have you attacked the Saiyan people!?" she yelled with as much authority as she could muster. It was... partly a show. She could feel his power... she didn't want to let him know her limits.

As the earthling was about to ascend into the air to continue his training, he noticed something strange. The explosion caused by his energy wave looked as though it was still in the air. He watched as he saw distant miniature explosions around where he had fired his blast. Had he hit a satellite? No, what he hit was far too small to be a satellite. That was when he sensed something, a decent power level was in the sky near his blast. Maybe it was just his imagination? As he thought this for a moment, he would watch a woman fall out of the sky and land a few meters away from him. What had he done. Thast's jaw would drop as the woman would explain he had accidently assaulted a member of the Saiyan army. Thast would stammer a bit, though Lettice did not appear that fearsome to him, she still had some political power. The last thing he wanted was for his home planet to go to war, and against the Saiyans of all people. "Umm, I can explain. First of all, sorry that happened. My name is Thast Rowens. I was just training out in this field, I didn't think anybody was around... and uhhh…" as he continued to poorly explain the situation, he would hear the dark one whispering in his ear yet again "Hmph, I say we kill her and be done with it." Yin would try to combat her brother saying, "Are you crazy! That would only make things worse, and would be down right evil!" Thast would try to better explain what happened with a demonstration, "Look I didn't mean to hit your pod, this is all a big coincidence. I'm just out here training, see" Thast would demonstrate his ability to use ki by reaching out with one hand towards a tree, and then firing a smaller blast of blue ki. The large oak would be lit aflame by the bolt, and then tumble to the ground a few seconds later. "See just some harmless training."

Lettice wanted to be upset. She wanted to punch something, hard. But after hearing the explanation from Thast she breathed in deeply. Watching him portray the blue ki blast showed he was indeed the one to blow up her ship. She could not however, let blowing her ship just go. I mean, how was she supposed to find another one? Lettice thought for a minute and finally from the dead silence she spoke "Section 6e of the Saiyan alliance with Earth states and vessel damaged or otherwise destroyed must be repaired and or replaced by the assailant on either planet." she spoke with clear authority, she was however making this up but didn't give too much of that away. She had a badge and she looked official. Yes, this could work. "Furthermore said assailant, whether by accident or no under Section 6d of the Saiyan alliance with Earth should house the injured parties in direct equal accordance by law." Lettice continued rattling off. She took a moment to let all of that sink in and hoped it was convincing enough before finally stating firmly with her fists at her hips "So. It looks like at minimum you have to find a way to get me off this rock and also pay for lunch." It could work. Free lunch. And maybe a new vessel? The pod was old anyway.

So he may have just prevented war between all Saiyans and earthlings, but apparently there was more to the story than Thast had expected. Not only did he need to give Lettice a ship, he needed to temporarily house her as well? What a strange agreement earth must have signed. He didn't know the specifics of the deal, but something did sound off. He decided it would be best not to ask questions at the moment however, considering Lettice had all the political power here. The earthling would let out a sigh and explain, "Look I can get you a replacement ship that could get you back home, but it may take some time. This will take even longer if my organization doesn't agree to help me, so... Let me make a call." Thast would then tap on a communicator until he would hear a signal. "Hey General, this is Thast... Look I've got some bad news..." Thast would the explain the situation over the communication device, to which General Thorn would eventually respond "You what! Well get her over here, and we'll see if we can provide a new ship for her. As for you, your rations are being cut as of tomorrow!" The punishment was harsh, but not as bad as it could have been... The earthling would turn around and explain to the Saiyan solider. "Alright, I may be able to help you after all. What's your name anyway?" Thast would look up at the sky and begin to ascend into the air, it was getting colder. "Alright, if you would follow me I'll take you to the organization I work with. We'll have a ship ready for you soon..."

Lettice tried to not show the surprise in her face. It worked. She certainly thought she would get something out of this situation being as he was the one that blew up her vessel, but she didn't think she'd get a new ship! Excitedly Lettice replied "My name is Lettice" she stated formally and gave a sigh "Look, I'm not trying to bust your butt on this so yes if you can find me a way off this rock." with that she blasted off just as fast as Thast towards whatever destination they were headed towards. After some time the wilderness eventually gave way to their destination, or at least it seemed like their destination as all the trees started to change to more civilized environments. "So where is this place anyway? And... where did you say you were from? What organization do you belong to that will grant you a ship?" Lettice certainly had more questions then answers. She knew plenty of Earthlings with powers such as his, but she was curious if Thast belonged to a team or something. Maybe she had gotten in over her head demanding so much. Time would tell if this were true.

As Thast flew through the sky he would hear the many questions of Lettice, where to begin. "Well first of all, we're headed to a bunker in the wastelands near south city. That's my groups home base so to speak." Then next question had surprised the earthling a bit, no one had ever asked where he was from before. Even still he would respond, "I'm from Satan City, here on earth... I use to be part of the military here." The final question was the most predictable, who did he work for, that would be easy enough to explain. "The group I work for is a paramilitary rebel cell called the Red Band. We've dedicated our lives and careers to fighting an organization called the Red Ribbon Army. My people have decent technology, two androids work for us, they will be able to whip you up a ship in no time." As the two of them continued to soar above, the metal bunker in the wastes slowly came into view. From their point of view, it looked like nothing but a manhole in the middle of no where, but on the inside would be a sprawling military base. Thast would land a few feet from the hole, and shout to Lettice "Alright Lettice, after you."Thast would take the female saiyan down the manhole, underneath would be an elevator shaft which would bring the two of them down into the bulk of the base. At this time of the day, the place would be sprawling, soilders would be marching, and guarding the place. Scientists would be at computer terminals viewing data. On a balcony, above every thing would be a small dog-man dressed in a suit. This man was general Thorn, the leader of the operation. He would greet Thast and his guest promptly "Ah welcome to our humble base kind Saiyan, please take a seat while we find a spare ship... As for you Thast, you nincompoop! You need to be more careful! What ya trying to start a war or something!" The general would continue to scold Thast harshly, and fling various insults at him

Lettice would listen closely to all of Thast's explanations. They all sounded fine to her and to be honest she was trying to just fill the void with small talk. Though it was interesting where he came from and his purpose and even more so that he was so forthright about it. Perhaps he wasn't concerned about a Saiyan working for the Red Ribbon Army for if she was I suppose this would be a bad way to tell the enemy where they lived. But who knows, perhaps the enemy already knew and couldn't do much about it. That is when she saw the manhole as the south of the city gave way to more of an open area. Thast requested her to go down the manhole and at this point Lettice thought that perhaps this whole thing was a bad idea. I mean, he could be trying to have her go down there to kill her and bury the evidence! But, against her better judgement she decided to jump down anyway. Taking the elevator down she whistled a a bit before landing and meeting the general. She could tell he was military by how he walked. The Saiyan woman saluted briefly out of respect "Morning sir, yes Thast did destroy my ship..." Lettice paused, realizing she shouldn't get this man in trouble for something that was after all an accident. She wasn't that upset about it if she was getting a new pod "I need only a basic ship, a standard pod if you have them will do." Then suddenly Lettice had an interesting thought. She was heading home out of frustration, but she came here for a reason and that was yet unfulfilled "And... I'd be interested to know what your plans are here on Earth..." she sheepishly let out "I.. may be interested in assisting somehow". Lettice wasn't interested in the Earthling's politics, but if it was fighting... that was fun. And that was something she could stay for.

The general looked up from his soldier scratching his chin before explaining "Well, now. You've come to help us? Even after our man nearly killed you? That is true kindness. Allow me to introduce ourselves. I am General Thorn, the leader of this operation." He would point over to a woman with blonde hair sitting at a computer terminal, "That is CPU, she's an android who defected to our side and now serves as mission control. The grumpy fellow with the brown hair next to her is Dynamo, her brother. He designs our various weapons and armaments. Of course, you've already met Thast, the muscle." He would begin to walk down a set of steps until he was on the ground floor standing only a few feet from them. "As for a job while your ship is being worked on, I may have just the thing. We'll compensate you of course." the diminutive dog-man would clear his throat before explaining, "The Red Ribbon army is back at it again. This time, an android was detected in South City, not too far from here. Your mission is to discover who the android is, and then destroy them. It is as simple as that!" Thast would give a nod at the general's orders. It seemed like a solid mission, nothing out of the ordinary. It would be tough to find a single android in a massive city however, moreover it wouldn't even have a Ki signature to search for,
"Alright Lettice, I'm sorry for any trouble I've caused, but it seems we have a mission. If your willing to come along that is..." Thast had hoped she would agree to come. If she did, he would feel more at ease from the whole 'almost killed you' situation. Then again, this was a lot to ask of someone who just showed up at their base. They hardly knew her!

Lettice shook her head at the general, respectfully "No. I'm interested in a good fight is all, but I am after all half-human so I suppose I should help to protect that half of myself" she said matter-of-factly. It was a fact that Lettice often forgot since she was born and raised on the Saiyan home land, but it was true. She was only half Saiyan and to that end she had two true blooded homes. Looking at Thast she nodded "Well, alright then lets go, since we know where its at it shouldn't take too much work for us to go there and beat up this android. Especially seeing your power earlier it should be easy." Walking out of the base and jumping out of the manhole she stated "We should try to limit the amount of destruction that we can, we can't have the enemy win through our battle's destruction". Lettice jumped into the sky and then blasted off giving off a white aura streak towards the place the android was destroying everything. They flew towards and got to South City pretty quickly as the general suggested they would. Scanning for power levels she couldn't sense any "Errmmm we can't sense androids can we? Harder to find them. Any thoughts how we'll find this thing?" She said while floating in the sky above South City.
