Thast has had his abilities for nearly six months, and over the course of the last month he had managed to gain a relatively large amount of control. Previously, he had just been like any other earthling, but after being tricked by members of the Red Ribbon army, he was injected with the powers of two ancient martial artists. The spirits of the two legendary combatants now dwell within the soul of Thast, and the ki of all three of them had become intertwined. Recently however, the young man had managed to gain the respect of one of the spirits. This spirit was none other than Yin, a female martial artist in life who used light energy in combat, and wields an aura of snow white ki. At first Yin viewed Thast as a simple victim of circumstance, but after viewing his intense attempts at training, she gradually grew to respect his resolve, and reasoned he would use her powers for good rather then selfishness. Though there was one thing missing. Thast could now wield the power of pure radiant energy, but he was not properly trained to where he could use it at peak efficiency.
Though he had trained under a master in the past, little progress had been made in the realms of Thast's ki control and overall martial arts skill. Yin reasoned, that the boy needed a proper teacher. A proper teacher such as herself. If she could somehow manage to escape, his soul, then perhaps she could train him in the ancient ways of combat. This was only if she could manage to escape his body however, and at that point in time she lacked the means, but she did gain an idea. Thast could still hear her, and if he could hear her perhaps he could see a vision of her as well. By using her ki, she may have been able to appear before him, but it would likely take a large toll on her strength.
After giving the subject some further though, and considering how the dark one would react to her teaching the earthling, Yin decided that Thast should train under her. He was clay to be molded, and she would not allow his spirit to fall to Yang's point of view. Though in most situations Yin would be quite calm, and manage to maintain her composure, she felt this matter was urgent and would speak to Thast then and there as he slept.
--------------------
Thast stood before a large expanse of black nothingness, he was asleep. In his mind however, he would have the most vivid dream he had ever experienced. An orb of light would pierce the nothingness, its radiance lighting the floors of a white room which the earthling stood upon in his mind. The orb of light would begin to mold itself into various shapes, until it would form the golden silhouette of a woman. "Thast. We must speak." these were words that Thast would immediately recognize as Yin's. As she spoke, the silhouette began to approach Thast as if walking towards him. "You have been with us for some time now, and as you know, you have my trust." With a shake of his head the mesmerized earthling would respond "Yin. I don't know why your here, but what do you mean? and where are we?" Yin's golden silhouette would begin to loose color, until it became white as the room the two stood in. Black lines would form around yin, as if an artist was drawing her into existence. Within a few seconds, Yin's shadow would become her body.
The previously unseen reclusive spirit of goodness would appear as a female human with a massive amount of curly dirty blonde hair, fair skin which light would radiate off of, and yellow eyes of pure sunlight. She would continue: "I was saying, you have my trust, but you do not have my skills. You need proper training, and that is why we are here. On the physical plane, you are asleep, but in here, inside your mind you are much awake. To put it simply, I have brought here to train you myself." This would all be a lot to take in for the earthling. Thast had never seem what Yin looked like, a creature of pureness and beauty, he hated to imagine what Yang looked like if he was her opposite. Training sounded like a good idea to Thast though, after all, in life Yin had these powers. If anyone could teach him how to use them, it would be her. With a quick nod he would reply "Alright, I'm ready for any training you wish to put me through."
Yin would smile, and give a sigh of relief. Truth be told, she did not think he would have actually agreed to her terms. Despite this, he had indeed agreed, and vigorously at that. The only matter was what to teach him, and how. In the past Thast had been outdone by foes much stronger then himself. This would mean he needed improvement in all fields, but the first and foremost should be his power level. If he could manage to match the energy signatures of his foes, then his chances of victory would be much higher. "Very well. Your first lesson starts immediately. Your task is to fire a beam of your own ki. For this lesson, you may not draw on my, or my brother's power. This must be your own power."
Thast would understand that he had been basically leeching of the ki of Yin and Yang to fuel his combat techniques, but he did not know if he could manage an energy attack of any kind without their help. There was one thing he did know, Yin would never set him up to fail, therefore he should at least try to deliver some sort of result. Thast would give his new master a bow, and begin to sit on the floor of the white room focusing his power, rather than the powers of those he lived off of.
