Yoroshu aimlessly drifted among the infinite void of space, no particular goal in mind. Just, drifting. He sat in the pilot's chair, a bored and unamused expression upon his face, he was desperate for something to do, something, anything. And then he saw a planet in the distance, one moon, it had looked like it was mostly covered by jungles. Yoroshu shrugged, why not? He flew towards the planet's atmosphere, after riding through the clouds he nearly wrecked his ship in the trees, barely managing to maneuver his way to safety. Finally, he landed. Yoroshu hopped out of the ship, his body met with the enhanced gravity of the planet, he stumbled. Taking a moment to adjust before looking at the vast landscape. "I wonder if this place is inhabited. Looks empty, besides all these damn trees." He remarked, smug tone as usual. Still, he took a relaxing stroll amidst the vast and dense jungles.
He had his little travel pack, which contained a canteen, some rations... okay a lot of rations. And a control pad for his ship in case of emergency getaways. But there didn't seem to be much on this planet besides a lot of jungles, after a while, he was ready to set sail back on the stars. His lust for adventure, somewhat sated. But, he found himself lost in the large jungles. He had no idea where he was. No!
"Now, where am I? I'm about thirty seconds away from just leveling this entire damn jungle!" He yelled. After the outburst, he heard rustling in the bushes. Each time his head darted to the location of the sound, and each time the location changed. After a brief silence, something short, green, and feral leaped out of the bushes, catching Yoroshu off guard and clawing a wide slice across his face with its three razors sharp claws.
Yoroshu stumbled back, blood seeping from the wound. The creature landed on the ground. It was vicious for sure. He wiped the blood from his cheek. "Oh, you're dead." He said in an eerily calm tone of voice. His aura flared from his body, rocking the entire area, with its force and knocking the creature into a tree, as it tried to pull itself out, Yoroshu extended one arm, fingers splayed. A blue orb of ki formed in his palm, and a fierce beam of energy shot out of his hand, the creature's eyes widened, overtaken with fear. BAM! The creature's last screech of life-ending pain rang throughout the jungle. When the smoke cleared, the creature had a hole in its chest from which smoke rose, it slid off the tree and fell to the ground, dead. "Well, whatever you are, you're dead." He said, turning his back on the corpse and readying to be on his way when from the trees, from vines, from bushes, more of these creatures appeared. Surrounding Yoroshu. They wanted blood. There were about twenty of them, give or take.
Yoroshu took his fighting position, albeit scared, they all lunged at him, he threw punches, kicks, elbows, and energy waves but they never stopped, these little things were persistent if nothing else. Finally, he was at his wit's end. Claws and punched, the creatures cornered him. Their faces screaming endless misery. However, just as he was about to be killed by these amalgamations of every child's worst nightmare, five of them descended to the ground, but something was different about them—they wore capes. Each a different color, except for one who remained capeless, they seemed stronger than the other ones.
"Is this how it ends? Murdered by caped green monsters on a jungle planet?" Yoroshu bellowed as he backed into a tree. One of the creatures straightened his green cape, before launching an energy wave straight at several creatures knocking them back. He yelled something in their language, which seemed to consist of screeches and such. They spread out, each incapacitating a group, individually, they weren't stronger than Yoroshu, combined they weren't stronger than him. but they seemed to have the advantage of numbers. While Yoroshu helplessly watched, these caped crusaders felled the vicious natives of this hellscape. When it was over, the one who wore green approached Yoroshu, extending his three-clawed hand towards him. "It's over, human." He said in a scratchy voice as if he was adapting the native tongue into English. Yoroshu grabbed his hand and the creature pulled him up. "What are you? What are these?!" He questioned, ridding himself of his own blood. The one in green cleared his throat. "Allow us to introduce ourselves." He said, darting his hand over to one in a yellow cape. "Hayaiman!" The one in yellow roared, sharing the same voice as his comrade. The one in green darted his hand to another one in a red cape, "Tsuyoiman!" yelled the one in red. The one in green darted his hand to yet another one, this one wore a teal cape, "Sumatoman!" yelled the one in teal, the one in green darted his hand to another one, who had no cape, but a silver emblem on his chest. "Choman!" he yelled, his voice was the same as the others, but his posture was energetic and full of life. The one in green's hand pointed to himself. "Shuryoman!" he had a weirdly innocent smile.
"We are the Saiba-Rangers!" He yelled. Yoroshu stood fully up, dusting himself off. "The Saiba what...?" He asked. Sumatoman answered Yoroshu's question before the others could even breathe. "These unconscious primitives are Saibamen, the same race as us. Except we are more intelligent, we were genetically modified during our creation, you see. But we're a crimefighting force for good." Yoroshu nodded, pretending he understood. Choman's hand darted up "And we're five hundred years old!" He shouted. Yoroshu's eyes widened, Sumatoman opted to explain. "We technically are, we were in stasis for over five hundred years." Yoroshu nodded his head before yelling the words "What?! FIVE HUNDRED?!" Sumatoman scratched his head. "Here, sit down, we'll explain." Around an hour later, Yoroshu finally understood their backstory.
After spending the night on the planet, the Saiba-Rangers explained the terrain and how he could find his way back to his ship.
Yoroshu shook their weird hands before beginning to set his way off. "See ya Saiba-Rangers, it was nice meeting you, but I gotta split." He waved goodbye, but as he took his first step, Yoroshu's jaw was met with the swift clawed foot of a Saibaman, he flew into a tree, bits and pieces of bark stabbing against his back, he was seemingly unconcscious. The Rangers looked at the Saibaman responsible. He seemed... unstable. He was far stronger than any of them, lighting sparked around his form. This Saibaman was breathing heavily, twitching occasioanaly. "What the hell...?" Said Tsuyoiman, stunned. This eery Saibaman lunged towards Tsuyoiman, elbowing his his gut and then smashing him into the ground, Sumatoman rushed from behind, the Saibaman didn't even deign to turn around, simply striking the teal-caped Ranger to the ground. Shuryoman and Choman desperately launched an amazing barrage of ki blasts that lit up the jungle, but each and everyone was slapped away like they were nothing. "It's like a Super Saibaman!" yelled Shuryoman before this Super Saibaman launched towards him, kneeing him in the gut and blasting him into a small group of trees with an energy wave.
Choman burst with pure rage and energy, holding his own as the Super Saibaman clashed with him. Yoroshu awoke, his vision was hazy but when it cleared, he saw the incapacitated Rangers, and Choman barely staying in the fight. The Super Saibaman kneed Choman in the gut, and began brutalizing him, a savage flurry of strikes and kicks. It was monstrous. And then the Saibaman shoved his fist into Choman's gut, opened his palm. Yoroshu's eyes widened. A wave of energy perforated Choman's gut, the silver Ranger gasped in shock, and fell, landing on the ground with a bang. "NO!" Yelled Yoroshu, his voice booming throughout the jungle. Shuryoman awoke. His heart sank as he saw the smoke rising from Choman's seemingly lifeless body. He ran over to his fallen compatriot. "Choman! Choman! Wake up, buddy! Come on, damn it WAKE UP!" He yelled, pushing Choman's body. Yoroshu stepped behind Shuryoman, something off about him. He unzipped his travel pack, digging through it before pulling out a bean, not any bean. A Senzu Bean. He tossed it to Shuryoman. "Feed him that." He said, as he focused on the erratic Super Saibaman. Shuryoman glared at Yoroshu. "Is this a joke? Some sort of sick prank?! My friend is dead! And you throw me a BEAN?! I shoul-" Shuryoman's words were cut off by Yoroshu's words. "Do what I say, now." Shuryoman compllied feeding Choman the bean. After a few seconds, Choman's eyes returned to life.
Shuryoman began giggling like a child, hugging the confused Choman as Yoroshu approached the Super Saibaman. "You... despicable, heartless, fiend of nature... I'LL TEAR YOU LIMB FROM... FROM.." Yoroshu began teeming with uncontrollable rage before it finally broke, he exploded with anger, his aura was every bit as vicious and feral as the Super Saibaman's. The aura masked Yoroshu's body, it appeared as a wolf. The Spirit Wolf. The Super Saibaman began giggling, before lunging towards Yoroshu, who slapped the beast into a tree, and began unleashing an uncontained assault, each fist slamming into the Saibaman, crashing into its frame. Blood flew from its everywhere. It was crawling on the ground, spitting blood. It glared at Yoroshu, who had a palm outstretched, ready to end it. It wasn't going to go down alone. It leaped onto Yoroshu, latching itself around him. It began glowing with an unstable color, before detonating completely.
The explosion rocked the forest, destroying miles of land, the Rangers were terrified, was Yoroshu dead? No, the opposite in fact. When the smoke clared, Yoroshu's aura was gone, and his clothing was destroyed, but he looked relatively unharmed, the attack barely scathed him. He stood inside a deep crater, the twitching hand of the Super Saibaman going motionless. Yoroshu dusted himself off.
Hours later, Yoroshu was prepping to leave the planet. He said his goodbyes to the Saiba-Rangers, and his ship set off to the stars.
