MOTIVATIONS:
Cyte is obsessed with the idea of growth, both physical and beyond. The idea of growth in terms of power because he wants to grow stronger and exceed his limits through dangerous and violent means. Growth with knowledge learning all there is of the universe so he may never be naive. Growth even in terms of height, feeling he was created to be too short. Cyte wants only growth and stagnation is unacceptable. This leads to his secondary motivation and goal: to grow so he may rule. Cyte works through his creator, Dr.Gear, and unlike the Bio-Android he was modeled after, wants to see his creator's goal come to fruition. The goal is to establish rule over the galaxy and create a dominating presence with the power of the universe's best warrior.
QUIRKS:
Short Temper: Cyte is really good about keeping his cool unless someone makes a jab of his height. Unlike the Bio-Android he was modeled after, Cyte was created with a small stature and this is one of the few things that will make him lose his cool.
Napoleon Complex: The Bio-Android has a very high and mighty sort of attitude, even if he does not have the ability to back it up. Cyte is very arrogant and can overlook many factors that can effect his overall situation. This leaves him very vulnerable and unguarded at times if he is getting the upper hand.
BONDS:
Dr.Gear: Dr.Gear is probably the only person Cyte is close to and would be defined as a "father" due to his role in Cyte's creation. Dr.Gear was trying to relive Dr.Gero's glory and surpass it by creating a similar android in this era's Neo-Renaissance of android robotics and creation. Though his creation does not look like that of Gero's model, he believes that Cyte may carry out his goal of galactic domination.
BACKSTORY:
Dr.Gear was a graduate of West City University with a doctorate in Robotics and Biology. Gear was inspired by many greats in the world, but his overall inspiration was to exceed a scientest he calls the "Father of all Robotics", Dr.Gero. Gear was obsessed with Gero and his ideologies to the point he even grew out the mustache like his idol. Gear wanted not only to be like Gero, but to exceed him in every possible way. This led to the conception of his magnum opus, a Bio-Android that will be greater than Gero's. Gear spent the next ten years developing and gathering the genetic makeup to create his invention. It contains the very same genetic makeup Gero had used, except the sources were different, and soon began development. In a tube in Gear's private chambers of his prestige position in West City, the Bio-Android had been in development. Unlike Gero's, however, it would take thirty years to develop due to gaps in notes of replication.
Thirty years pass and from the tube the larva emerges. Gear is disappointed that it is not the "perfect" being, but he believes that this is part of the creation's evolutionary process. Gear, now into his seventies, was using is position and funding to feed and sustain the larva form. He calls the creation "Cyte", in reference to the cells of immune systems. This was a jab at his idol, Gero, feeling his creation was immune to the imperfections that Gero's was. Though that might be farther from the truth in current comparison. Cyte, after 3 months of being a larva, finally emerges from the shell as a small boy like android. Gear thought that Cyte would be much taller and menacing, but looks can definitely be deceiving. Afterall, this is a comparison of something 500 years prior, so there were bound to be a few things off.
Cyte did not know what to think of Dr.Gear, except that he had allowed for his creation and survival. This is the only real bond that the Bio-Android has, and it is strong for necessity's sake. Cyte had emerged with the ability to speak, write, add, and all sorts of complex methods. Cyte also has basic knowledge of the races that were used for his genetic material, but knew nothing about the prominent figures in the universe. Other than tests for his mental capacity, Dr.Gear also spent several months testing his combat abilities. With everything set, Gear finally decided it was time for Cyte to commence his first real test. This was to go out in the world and see what it had to offer. Work with those who share similar goals and rise to power.
CALL TO ACTION:
Cyte wants to grow stronger and exceed new limits while gaining a foothold in a position of power so his creator may act through him for some form of galactic rule.
