BACKSTORY:
Born to a small sect of Saiyans on New Sadla, he was the offspring of a Saiyan mother and father. He was the second of his four siblings, though his younger brother and sister came long after Nasch and his older brother, Okaran did. Nasch was judged at his young age for what he may qualify for in the strata of the Saiyan lineage. He was just under the threshold for even a Low-class Warrior, and that he should be expelled to a nearby planet in order to test his strength though conquering. Then, and only then, would Nasch be allowed to return as a Saiyan warrior. His elder brother, Okaran, sought to petition the release of his brother, and with enough strings pulled, was allotted a meager amount of time to train and procure enough power to be allowed to stay on New Sadla and train as a warrior there. With much needed assistance from his brother, he was able to reach the threshold necessary by the deadline, though not without a serious conditioning to the brutality of Saiyan competition. Okaran was one of the higher-bred, likely to enter the class of the elite before long.
Amply whipped into shape, Nasch grew up among those of his race though not as an equal. Deliberation of his acceptance was spread among the major cities and as a result he was often seen as a lesser than others. His Power Level was indicative that their statements were true and this only served to further dampen Nasch's image of himself. Many Saiyans fought one another to train though Nasch struggled even against the Saiyans of his own age and some even younger, forcing him to often make the effort to train alone just to keep up with his class. Years passed this way into adolescence and eventually young adulthood.
He had barely made it into the lower ranks of Saiyan warriors, with some further nudging from his elder brother and voracious training regimens that put Nasch into near death scenarios on multiple occasions. Okaran even threatened that if Nasch did not improve soon, he would find him and kill him personally for wasting such precious favors on a weakling like him. Nasch took this threat to heart, believing his life was at stake and so he rose in power quickly with each passing day, until he was finally assigned to a squad. He was stationed with four others on a carrier ship heading toward a planet called Raiven far off in the Western Quadrant. The goal was to tame the wildlife of the planet and colonize it as to increase the borders of the Saiyan Dominion, as it was now being called under the rule of Queen Radia.
The squad set out onto the planet with a vicious intent. The locals were at first welcoming, assuming the Saiyans had come as pilgrims to this spiritual world of theirs. Temples carved into the faces of mountaintops using acid-water carving techniques built sharp and precise edges on their walls. The Saiyans there were astounded at the beautiful culture of the Raivenian people. One of their squadmates, Celar, reminded them of why they were there, and motioned to destroy the temple as a sign of power. Nasch disagreed with this approach, believing there was a diplomatic solution to the plight, but his notion was thwarted by most of the group and they attacked. A massacre ensued over night as the Saiyans leveled what must have been an entire city plus its outerlying croplands. Nasch partook of the slaughter, only to coat the fact he was in fact sorrowful for these people and that if he were to show empathy, he too would be carted to death by his own people.
The night after the slaughter, one of his squadmates named Treska approached the forlorn Saiyan. He tried to cheer the man on though nothing would break through Nasch's outer walls. Only when Treska jokingly threatened Nasch did he flinch, appearing to take this to heart. Treska was seeing from the outside what kind of damage the man inside was facing. Over the night Nasch and Treska stayed up, staring at the planet's four swirling moons over the sky as the slowly waded round and round in their revolutions, talking of home, love, passion, strength and courage. Though Treska was very much a bread and butter warrior to the core, he too understood the doubts one may harbor for killing innocents, and believed it must be looked past. For if Nasch did not, he would never understand what a Saiyan truly was.
Their mission continued for several more days, Nasch working under the wing of Treska and his own close friend, Cashla. Treska and Cashla grew up sparring together for years, competing to be the strongest of their respective city, though neither would budge an inch from the other, always toppling their power with every day that passed. Nasch was maybe half as strong as them, at the time. Though Nasch had admiration for Treska's ability and prowess, he was dazzled by Cashla's bravery and beauty. She leaped into battle like a dancer the way she fought, showing both brutality and elegance intertwined in her style. It was almost as if the bloodshed could be cornered away into the recesses of his mind if he could watch Cashla be the one to dish it out each time.
About five nights into their mission, Cashla one time joined Nasch and Treska for their evening talks. She entertained the boys of their foolish notions that strength must be found through war. She believed that one did not have to look past the bloodshed to be able to deal it, but that you must understand why you do it and believe that it is for a good reason. Nasch questioned how bloodshed in any capacity could be understood, to which Cashla told him that it was unity she believed would put this universe to rest and would allow Saiyans to not only reign supreme, but so that they could finally find peace. Treska disagreed, believing that once unity was met, Saiyans would grow weak and tired from the lack of war they would see in their lifetime.
Two weeks into the mission was the day that all had finally gone wrong. After essentially razing half the globe of Raiven, the Saiyans split up to cover an equatorial boundary and to speed up the process. The leader of the expedition and three rookies went westward and Treska led Nasch and Cashla to the east. The dense jungle biosphere they encountered was warm and thick with fog that slicked their skin before they were even sweating. The trees were laden with dew drops even deep into the afternoon as the atmosphere of the planet was grossly over saturated with water this far at the equator.
Within the jungle, the Saiyans met a guerrilla unit of tribals in the jungle who strayed far from the cities, attacking without warning. The three Saiyans were expertly split apart and Nasch was the first to dodge out of the fight knowing they were entirely outnumbered. The sounds of blasts and attacks trailed behind him as he trailed around the outer brush to come from behind and deal with the remaining ambushers. As he dispatched of the few still hiding in the backlines, the sound of battle had concluded in the clearing they were originally attacked. When he got there, horror struck him as he saw a mostly petrified Treska and a mortally wounded Cashla. Nasch rushed to Treska's aid, trying frantically to figure out how to stop the process but only to the realm of futility. Treska did not cry as he turned to stone, telling Nasch that a warrior's death was the most honorable. Nasch did not believe a single word of it, and as footsteps in the brush came from behind him, more of the tribesmen appeared.
Nasch, infuriated and now at the mercy of his emotions, powered-up an unbelievable amount in an instant, nearly doubling his power level in an instant as he rushed out and began to destroy the tribesman an incredible pace with the help of what remaining energy Cashla could support him with. After another hour of battle, the two sit atop a metaphorical throne of corpses and the statue of their close friend. Nasch began trying everything he could think of to reverse the petrification process, to no avail. Cashla tried her best to pry Nasch away for hours, consoling, cajoling and even threatening him to make him move, with similar results. She eventually left in the night to find the other four squadmates and see how they fared on their mission.
Four days followed in which Nasch ate nothing, drank nothing, and slept scarcely. His body shook itself awake in its primal state to defend his life, but other than that, he stayed vigilant at Treska's side awaiting for his stone form to turn back to flesh and to thank Nasch for his aid. But no such miracle took place. Cashla and two of the other four Saiyans returned, alerting Nasch that they were going to leave the planet for back-up and that they met similar circumstances elsewhere. Nasch had to be pulled away by Cashla and one other with their full might to keep him still as they flew back to the ship. Nasch fell limp in their arms about an hour of struggling, screaming and almost breaking into tears.
As they took off and began to break the system's atmosphere, a barrier sprung over the sky that would lock the ship from escaping the planet's outer system and be destroyed if they made contact. Someone had to leave the ship and destroy whatever was generating that barrier so everyone else could escape. Unfortunately, the numbers were few. Four were aboard the ship and two had to pilot the ship. Cashla, now missing a limb, made the executive decision that she would go. If they could return for her, she would fight for her life til' they did. If they could not, she would die an honorable death. Nasch held her tight in his grasp, screaming for her to stay and that her death was not worth it, and that he should go instead. Nasch, in that moment, believed held no meaning anymore.
Cashla kissed him on the cheek, telling him that even a gentle soul can be strong when it must be, and that he must live to see it grow into a proper Saiyan warrior. She left the ship, sacrificing herself to destroy the generator so the two piloting the ship could send them off. They returned to New Sadla down four men. Their failure was seen as a stain on their pride as warriors and they were to be banished, though Okaran had different plans for Nasch. He brought him to trial for his crimes of abandoning Cashla and Treska when the fight started, believing that this was a crime punishable by death in Saiyan culture. Nasch was ready to accept such a death, then Okaran believed that was too easy. He would get what he wanted. So Okaran banished Nasch naturally, telling him that he must prove his worth as a Saiyan before he can die a Saiyan, and that from that day on he was no more than another Off-worlder to them. Nasch was sent on a pod from New Sadla out into the world to find his own path, and that he may only return when he had found the strength to be a tried and true Saiyan, whatever Okaran deemed that was.
CALL TO ACTION:
Having been essentially excommunicated from the Saiyan Dominion for his insolence and weakness, he seeks a purpose, a cause, or a people worth serving until he has found the true meaning of what it means to be a Saiyan warrior, to which he will then return to his home in hopes of serving his own people once more with true vigor.

NAME:
Nasch
RACE:
Saiyan
AGE:
27
GENDER:
Male
HEIGHT/WEIGHT:
5'10''/225 lbs
APPEARANCE:
Nasch appears to have tan skin laden in scars from prior battles. He wears a variant of the Saiyan armor from years past, as well as purple leggings and a light-green fur sash that covers his tail, which he keeps wrapped around his waist. Also, Nasch wears a steel neckband and steel bracers to protect himself. He has dark eyes and black, spiky hair as is reminiscent of most Saiyans.
MOTIVATIONS:
- To reclaim the pride lost by his weakness in his upbringing as a Saiyan warrior.
- To garner the attention of his peers and be venerated as a worthy comrade.
- To bring his strength to new levels that he can one day take pride in having accomplished.
- To bring back his loved ones lost years ago, if it is possible.
- To protect that which he cherishes most: those he considers his family, and to destroy all that which opposes his and his peoples' values.
QUIRKS:
- As a Saiyan, having lost much of his arrogant and seclusive, independent nature and striving to work with others.
- Struggles to convey his thoughts and emotions verbally, often making him frustrated.
- An errant desire to help those in need, often veering on charitable nature that stems far from his natural culture.
- Unnaturally loyal to those who aid him, often indebting himself to that person or people permanently.
- Penitent to an extreme, often taking up fasting and deprivation of sleep in order to atone for what he feels are the wrongs he has done.
BONDS:
- Treska - A close friend of Nasch's, turned to stone on the planet Raiven in the far western quadrant. Nasch and Treska were as close as two Saiyans could be in terms of brotherhood, sticking out their necks for one another. Treska was far more competitive than Nasch, often calling the green-armored Saiyan "a gentle soul, unfit for the wars we wage." Regardless, Treska pushed Nasch to be stronger so that the day he returned to New Sadla, he could show pride in his strength.
- Cashla - Nasch's first love. Despite love being a somewhat obsolete emotion in the arsenal of Saiyans, Nasch's heart was full for this woman. She was a resilient force that helped keep Nasch on his feet when even Treska's competitive brightness did not stir him quite from his stupor. She sacrificed herself on the getaway from Raiven, causing Nasch incredible grief.
- Okaran - Nasch's older brother and superior in all things in the domain of combat. He is stronger, faster, and even has a surprising aptitude for cunning and strategy. He is an elite-warrior of the now-called Saiyan Dominion. Nasch at one point idolized his brother's merciless outlook on conquest and war, though with the loss of his closest comrades, this has warped his view of his brother's ideals to be questionable.
