Assuming one does not live under rock or in a remote island somewhere, one should be familiar with the news of an assault on Galactic King by a mutant frost demon. Supposedly, this frost demon was a mere puppet instigated by the Saiyan Dominion in an attempt to take him out. Of course, anyone who knew even a little bit about the Saiyan race would be able to tell right off the bat it's false. The paper-thin lie was quite laughable and to be quite frank, has as much holes as a swiss cheese. Of course that did not automatically mean that the Saiyan Dominion were innocent of the assault. Something that Audrey had learned during her previous career as military was that things are rarely as black and white as the news painted them, moreso a shade of grey. And while Atreus and Pricota voiced their concern on allying with the Saiyan dominion in any manner, personally she wanted to give them a fair shake before dismissing them entirely. The first person she wanted to meet on the list was Commander Taro, whom she had the pleasure of fighting some time ago. While his strength was enviable, it was moreso his integrity and how he carry himself that earned the android's respect. However, recent rumors about his death reach her ears and her military connections didn't bear any fruit either. Thus she reach out towards one of his students, a half-breed Saiyan named Etohn. From what she had read on this person, the achievement he made was nothing short of amazing. Part of the Queen's guard, winner of the tournament and savior of the Namek planet? He certainly sound like prime Valkyrie material. Thus she decided to send him an email for a meeting on Planet Katchin. With her companion, Cipher, she had hoped that this Etohn would open up to them easily. There was just one little thing she had to address towards her partner before they walk out of the ship to the rendezvous point. "Do you think this will be enough for me to blend in?" Attached to the android's rear was what appeared to be a Silver Saiyan tail with the same colour as her hair. Thanks to miracles of advance technology said tail look and felt like a real one and even move in response to her thoughts or feelings. She just hoped that there was no secret Saiyan tailshake with these....she would be find out in an instant. Cipher Etohn Total WC: 415 words.

Other than her remote family based on Earth, Cipher rarely experienced meeting other members of her race. She always wanted to encounter more people with Saiyan blood running through their veins. Though a myriad of marital artists dwelt within her native land, they seldom exhibited the same tendencies and thoughts as her tailed brethren. The nomadic and often mercantile nature of her race resulted in her growing up without much interaction with other Saiyans. She heard stories about them from her father and she fought Ipomea within Space Vegas, but they remained her lone experiences with other members of the warrior race. Instead of distancing herself from the Saiyans, she yearned to meet more of them. Most of her allies expressed grievances about allying with the Dominion. Cipher disdained their approach on the matter, and though she remained quiet on the matter, she heeded a rift between herself and members of the group not named Audrey. Everywhere she ventured, she felt people’s general disdain towards her lineage’s culture and way of life. Having directly inherited the lust for battle from her full-blooded father, she understood and wanted to meet other Saiyans and drink in their perspective and ambitions. Finally, she acquired the opportunity to fraternize with her people. Audrey told her about bringing a half-Saiyan like herself, named Etohn, alongside them on their campaign. Rather than qualms, Cipher expressed enthusiasm about meeting someone like herself and working alongside them in hopes of not antagonizing their mutual people. She received tidbits of the storied history between them but lacked information beyond that. He boasted an impressive resume to his name, and her blood warmed at the idea of joining up with the strong. Before departing from their ship, Audrey posed Cipher with a question. She wondered if she possessed a hint of actual concern about her makeshift guise or if she meant it in jest. Crimson eyes fixed on the silver tail, Audrey brought attention to Cipher’s own tail. The woman curled her brown tail around her waist in a manner she assumed Saiyans employed. She remembered her Dad doing that a lot, and she mimicked him since she started walking. “…Wrap it around your waist, like a belt,” Cipher started, crossing her remaining left arm under her chest; she lacked a right arm, her shirt tapering off into a hollow sleeve. “It’s endearing, but ensure you wear it with pride.”

"Sir, are you sure about-" was all the timid Saiyan cadet could get out before yet another table was smashed against the wall besides him. A pile of debris laid in the corner of the room, made up of a variety of furniture with a poor Saibaman buried beneath it all. "I don't wanna do any more negotiations, dammit! Why can't somebody like Onyon, or Quash, go!? They don't have anything better to do!"This childish attempt at avoiding responsibilities came from Commander Etohn, who had currently barricaded himself in a fort of loose furniture inside of his room. The humor of the situation did not escape him, but it was much more fun to throw a tantrum than to go through with another meeting. Ever since he was promoted, Etohn has acquired a very intimate knowledge of his responsibilities, and a lot of them don't involve training, eating, or fighting. The fact that Taro could even stand such mundane activities such as filling out piles of paperwork and visiting the various training centers to show the new recruits the ropes was baffling, and clearly showed that he had a much stronger willpower than the youth. "Captain Etohn, sir, Commander Onyon and Captain Quash have both been very busy with the preparations for Abbayor, and the message specifically asked for you to go there." The poor newbie could only try and explain this to Etohn, hoping that the man wouldn't get even angrier and snap him in half like a twig. While he wasn't as mature as his compatriots, there was no doubting how powerful he was. For a short time, no sounds came from the hand-made fortress of solitude. Slowly, one of the bookcases holding up the side of it was pushed aside, and Etohn would begin stepping out of the gap. Turning towards the assistant, he glares at them, his eyes sullen and cold, chilling the Saiyan's spine. "...get me a beer. No, two beers. They better be by the door before I'm done with my shower. By the time I count to three, you will leave my room and start getting them for me. One." No further counting was necessary, as all that was left of the Saiyan was an afterimage created in their haste to flee the scene. Words: 382 Audrey | Cipher

Upon hearing Cipher's advise, the android began to wrap her newly acquired tail around her waist like a belt. She wasn't quite sure how the Dominion would see them in first place as they were working under the same body of government until Polaris decided to rename it as his Galactic Empire. More likely than not they would attract ire from the Saiyan thus the reason needed to blend in. Of course, she wouldn't be opposed to keep it for a longer period of time as well. It presented a proverbial middle finger to Polaris and her solidarity with the Saiyan Dominion, not to mention her connection with her significant other. "Got it. Alright, are you ready? Katchin's gravity is a lot more stronger than Earth so brace yourself." Audrey warned Cipher, needlessly perhaps but she wanted to let her know all the same. Once Cipher had given her confirmation the hatch would open and the android would step out first to look at her surrounding. Merely a few step outside of the ship and she can feel the gravity kicking in. It was almost twice the strength of gravity on earth but thanks to her experience in gravity chamber she manage to take it with stride. Inspecting their surrounding, Audrey can see that they were surrounded by sand desert as far as the eyes can see. The harsh environment almost reminded her of Venus, except she cannot hear or see the constant lightning storm in the area. Their ship had landed near one of the Saiyan settlement so when they walked out of the ship, their sights were immediately greeted by the local populace. Homogenity came to mind when Audrey eyed them, their hair mostly black though not all of them are in possession of tails. At this moment Audrey felt a slight pang of regret...perhaps she should have dyed her hair black instead of taking the expensive tail surgery. No matter, they weren't here for long anyway. Trying to locate the area of rendezvous was difficult, as the signs and the streets were quite confusing. Not wanting to waste any time she went to approach the first Saiyan she see in the area. A woman who was holding a longsword, dressed in a blazer jacket with which ended with white frilled skirts. The white headband ribbons attached to her head gives her the impression of the rabbit, but her expression was anything but gentle. The whole time she was quiet while listening to their quesion before she nodded and gave them direction towards the street where the military base would be located. After expressing her gratitude to the swordswoman, the android nodded towards her once before making her way there immediately. Cipher Etohn Post word count: 450. Total Word count: 865.

A small smile ghosted her lips while she watched Audrey fasten her tail around her waist. Cipher possessed very little knowledge regarding how other members of her race took imitations, whether they deemed it flattering or not. However, part of her hoped the android decided to keep the attachment. Removing it devalued whatever surgery she endured to stick it onto her body, and she considered it a great addition. Simple logic guided her regularly convoluted thought processes. Think of it like your girlfriend wearing your favourite team’s jersey. Or something. Anyway, she nodded in response to Audrey’s warning. After spending countless hours in the gravity chamber, Cipher felt confident in her ability to handle increased levels of gravitational pull. She trained under pressure dwarfing Earth’s own by several hundredfold, and it honed her ability to cope with the natural field of foreign planets. Her mind possessed enough caution, however, to still brace herself for the difference when disembarking from the ship they landed on the planet within. Her crimson eyes fixed on the hatch as it opened with a mechanical hiss. The half-Saiyan took a step outside and seemed hardly affected by the effects Audrey cautioned her about. For some reason, she felt her heartbeat accelerate upon scanning the vicinity. Excitement got the better of her when she took in the sight of people resembling her in more ways than their dark hair colour. Amidst a climate resembling the harsher planets she trained on in the past dwelt tailed and non-tailed denizens of her race. Until now, she never witnessed so many fellow Saiyans in one place. One look at her face revealed her surprise, crimson eyes wide as she drank in the sight of people she yearned to meet since she could think clearly. While she followed Audrey, Cipher kept her remaining arm tucked under her chest. She remained unarmed to deter others from interpreting malice on her end, and because she boasted the capability of summoning her arm and weapons to her at a whim. Audrey asked a woman for directions, and Cipher fixed her eyes on the fellow swordswoman the entire time. Shaking her head, she sobered her expression and reacquired her composure. She needed to remain resolute, calm and of sound mind to keep her judgment unmarred. They ended up venturing to the correct location, and the sight of a military base greeted her. Apparently, the spot they intended to rendezvous at sported enough significance that the locals knew of its location. Inhaling and straightening her posture, Cipher stayed behind Audrey, allowing her familiar face to lead them near without altercation. It seemed out of place for the Saiyan to do it, not having prior experience with their contact.

With the other Saiyan out of his hair, Etohn finally had a moment to himself. Stepping towards his door, Etohn presses his hand to the scanner by its frame, causing the sliding door to close and lock itself in place, preventing anybody else from coming in to nag at him. All he wanted was a bit of peace and quiet before this meeting, and he would prefer to not have the Dominion's higher-ups send more errand boys to try and ruin that. Pulling out his PDA, Etohn fiddles about with the device as he walks towards his bathing room, the door automatically opening up as he stepped towards it. With his device, he had already turned on the lights of the room and set the shower's temperature to his preferred level. God, technology was great. Without wasting any time, Etohn tucks his PDA away again before reaching into his right sleeve. After a few clicks, his entire right arm comes lose, which he places onto a nearby table. The thing was supposedly water-proof, and he's used the thing in combat, but apparently showering with his prosthesis was "not recommended." Oh well, at least it gave him a reason to take the thing off. Having a working right arm again was amazing, and having two hands to punch stuff with was so much better than having one, but Etohn always disliked the thing. With his training on Shizen, he was forced to adapt to surviving with only his left arm to rely on, since the metallic one he had at the time didn't last long on the inhospitable planet. With what was nearly a year he spent there, he had grown accustomed to his crippled body, so getting this new prosthetic put on just felt...unnatural. It looked like a real arm, it felt stuff like a real arm, it worked like a real arm. If only it were still actually real. "Aggh, gotta stop thinking about stuff like that. It's not like I can just wish it back..." Shaking his head, Etohn gets to preparing for his shower. He needed to look presentable for whoever it was that was coming here, after all. Captain Etohn's Office - Some Time Later"Man, why did I ask for these, again?" Etohn was currently seated at his desk, two bottles of beer dangling from his hand in front of him. Since this meeting was taking place that very day, he probably wouldn't be getting any favors from the higher-ups by being openly intoxicated in a professional environment. He didn't even enjoy alcohol all that much, anymore. Living off of giant grubs for months and months on end would change anybody's tastes, after all. His attention returned to the present as a beeping sound comes from the communication device laid on his desk. Quickly, he shoves the beers into one of his drawers before taking the call, which was just a Xeno saying that two people were here to come see him. After giving his approval to letting them in, he turns off the machine. Whoever these people were, they were here now. Hopefully this wasn't another waste of time. Thanks to the swordswoman's advise, they managed to arrive at the military base without much trouble. After stating their business to the guards and filling the necessary papers (to which the android realized was quite simple compare to Earth Kingdom's military or Galactic Patrol's...) they were both issued visitors cards which allow them to visit only certain areas of the military base. Passing one to Cipher, Audrey clipped hers on her jacket to make sure it was visible for everyone else to see before she made her way to Etohn's makeshift office. Not that she expected to see plenty, the Saiyan's dominion soldiers were not quite as decked out with techs as her previous affliations from her observation. She chalked it up to their mastery of ki manipulations and inhuman strength which allowed them to be on par with the other faction even without them. Tails and her silver mop aside, their outfit made them stood out like sore thumbs amongst the other soldiers stationed there. Her ears caught words like recruit or transfer thrown about as they speculate the reason for the both of them being here. Funnily enough, the former seems to be thrown more towards her direction than her partner from their line of gaze. After navigating through the complex, they find themselves in a hall with multiple doors. Taking out her mobile where the number to the meeting room are stored, the android scanned the door numbers as she muttered, repeating the ones on the door and comparing it with the one on screen. It was slightly frustrating to have to search through them all manually but she swallowed her complains until she finally reach the right door. Exhaling, she checked the time once more even while her hovered in front of the door. They were right on time but for the android, it was unacceptable. One should always arrive at least 10 minutes earlier before rendezvous. Strict perhaps but it was how she was taught back when she still served. "Well, here goes nothing..." She shot a quick glance to Cipher's direction, nodding towards her before she knock. Only after Etohn prompted her that she entered and open the door, her habit make her stand at attention but she caught herself not to salute the young officer before her. Her nose caught whiff of alcohol but she couldn't see one near them...odd. She wondered if the Saiyan military were a bit lax when it comes to liquor on duty. "Commander Etohn?" a slight pause as she waited for Etohn to affirm before she continued. "Pleasure to meet you. We're part of the Earth kingdom's Resistance Force. My name is Audrey and this is my partner." The android turned to Cipher to introduce herself. She didn't wish to reveal to Etohn they were Valkyrie members just yet. Resistance was a neutral term coined for ex-galactic patrol members who fled to Earth after the change of regime, the Empire would have call them terrorists instead on the news. When Audrey passed her one of the visitor cards, Cipher took and glanced over it. It was reminiscent of other protocols the Saiyan had been through. Reacting very little to the gesture, she replicated the other woman’s means of displaying the card by attaching it to the front of her kimono-like vestment. Hearing the soldiers they passed by speculate their reason for being there filled her with an odd contentment. Being regarded as a possible transfer filled her with something akin to joy. Many days had passed where she longed to be reunited with the other members of her race and fight alongside them. Had she not been raised on the Kingdom of Earth, she would have been a proud soldier of the Dominion. Cipher did not know how her kind would perceive her, but she hoped it was in a positive light. As though upholding a vow of silence, Cipher followed Audrey through the complex quietly. Her crimson eyes dart between the series of doors welcoming them. She waited while her partner looked for the correct one to enter, her face primarily expressionless while she continued her pursuit. After locating the correct door, her partner directed her attention towards her. Cipher gave her a quick nod in response, a weak attempt at acting reassuring. Focusing her attention ahead of her while Audrey rapped her knuckles against the door, she waited for their contact to provide a cue. Once it was given, she entered in after Audrey. Her gaze detoured for a moment, the Saiyan examining her new surroundings. A desk, a nameplate denoting its owner, along with other technological implements did not grant her ample insight towards the Commander’s personality. She noted the vicinity seemed minimalistic, and she enjoyed that detail. Her partner went ahead and introduced them as part as the Earth Kingdom’s Resistance Force before passing the conversational torch to her. After a wayward glance to the silver-haired android, she fixed her resolute gaze on Commander Etohn. Cipher was a woman who exuded a dignified air, but not pompous. Her expression was stoic, but the way she carried herself suggested an ample supply for respect for those who deserved it. She earnestly provided the Commander with that respect with an acknowledging nod. Surprisingly like the individual before her, she was missing a right arm. Without the help of her own prosthesis, she felt the phantom pain encroaching. Her tail remained wrapped around her waist, denoting her Saiyan lineage. “It's an honour, Commander. I'm Cipher, a member of the resistance effort as my partner mentioned,” Cipher paused for a moment before continuing. “Other than my father, this is my first time having the privilege of meeting other Saiyans.”

A clicking sound comes from the door as it unlocks, allowing the pair of interest to enter the room. A few things immediately stood out about the two, causing him to briefly raise an eyebrow. The first to come in was a silver-haired woman. Clothed in a simple dress and coat, they seemed to be a Human, though there were a number of problems with the idea. The first was that their energy felt very, very odd. They seemed like a regular person, but something just felt wrong about their energy signature. The other problem was the monkey-like tail currently wrapped around their waist. The only people that should have tails are people with Saiyan blood that injected themselves with the Oozaru serum, something the Dominion usually didn't just give away. All signs pointed to them being a Half-Saiyan, but something about their demeanor made that hard to believe. Maybe it was how stiffly they moved. The other person, also a lady, immediately stood out with how they followed all of the other person's body cues. Clearly, the first woman was the leader of the group. Like her friend, she had a tail, though their typical Saiyan-like hair made it seem far less out-of-place. Her clothing seemed like the kind you'd find by East City back on Earth, what with how oriental those people were, so perhaps she, too, was a Half-Saiyan to come from the area. Or, at least she dressed like it. Hard to tell with how varied the planets are, yet how similar they can be. One odd part of their garb, however, was how there seemed to be a lack of anything within their right sleeve. Likely an injury resulting from combat, so she was definitely a fighter. Still, Etohn couldn't help but hold his prosthetic limb with his other hand. Another person that understands that pain...The first woman wastes no time, quickly introducing herself as Audrey and that the pair comes from the Earth Kingdom's Resistance Force. The man had never heard of such an organization, though there were rumors of a group on Earth forming in order to combat the Galactic Empire. It was just a guess, but such a title did bring the idea to his mind. Nodding to her after she finishes speaking, his eyes dart towards the other arrival. Their name was Cipher, and she very easily proved his earlier theory. If the only other Saiyan she has interacted with was her father, she had to be a half breed. Nodding his head at her, Etohn pushes himself into his chair, slumping back into it and loosening his expression. "Alright, so first things first. I ain't Onyon, the name's Etohn. He's the big shot commander, while my title's captain, and if I was a more serious guy, I'd probably be very offended. Now, since ya got that wrong, my only guess is that you're some groupies who want my signature or a t-shirt or something, and if that's true, I'm frankly terrified that you knew that I'd be based here. If that is the case, then please leave me alone. If not, then why was I the person you lot asked to meet with?" Etohn was completely calm as he spoke, not displaying any real emotion as he addressed the two. Please let these people have something actually important to talk about. Words: 561 Audrey | Cipher

For a second the android's expression turned blank. Normally she was quite on top of things when it comes to intel but it appeared that her informant was quite sloppy this time. Mentally, she pull up the military ranks between the Saiyan Dominion and Earth Kingdom before making a brief comparison for a brief second. It appeared that the Dominion switched around the difference in rank between Captain and Commander for some reason which cause the android to mentally sigh. She wasn't sure why they did that in first place, maybe it sounded cooler to them or something. At least Etohn's attempt at humor...if it was indeed humor, caused her to crack a slight smile on her face. His charming visage was indeed the type that would turn many heads and she would not be surprised if that was the case. Allowing herself a small chuckle, the android relaxed slightly while still remaining at attention. "My apologies Captain Etohn." The android rectified, emphasizing on his rank. "I was slightly confused with the difference in military ranks. In Earth Kingdom Military and the previous Galactic Patrol the rank Captain lay underneath Commander. I've been told that your position outranks my previous one, Major, as such I have made such a mistaken assumption." The android explained. Had this been in Galactic Patrol Etohn would have been lower ranking compare to her though that was neither here nor there as she no longer work for the Galactic Patrol. "Rest assured, we are not here for you autograph or pictures. Both our parties possess neither the time nor the luxury to wast time on such things." With that the android's expression sobered slightly. "The Galactic Empire had been spreading news that the Dominion was behind the assassination of Galactic King through a ruse. I would like to believe that was a mere propaganda spread by Emperor Polaris to justify his rise to power. However the Dominion had yet to release a statement denying involvement of the attack which cause Anti-Saiyan sentiments to spread even among our group. Dispelling that require a proper official statement of one of the ranking military officer of the Saiyan Dominion."Audrey took that a moment to pause, letting Etohn to absorb or reply to her statement. Only then she proceeded with her next choice of words while keeping her eyes locked with Etohn. "Should this anti-Saiyan sentiment be dispel we can then move forward to a mutually beneficial relationship between the Resistance and Saiyan Dominion. As we are now, we lacked the military force Galactic Empire's Armada and pardon me if I'm wrong..." at this the android straighten up slightly. "The Saiyan Dominion lack the intel and the personnel to take them down from the inside. As such cooperating together seem to be the best move to ensure a regime change to one that has a more favorable opinion of the Saiyan Dominion." the android explained. "To be quite honest, I was hoping to meet Commander Taro for this discussion as we have been acquainted in the past but I've been informed he was not available. Instead, they gave me your name and even mentioned that you were his student once." The android's eyes focused slightly to see how Etohn would react to Taro's name. If her intel was true, then simply mentioning his name would be enough to bring out a visible reaction of sorts. Cipher Etohn Post word count: 560 Total Word count: 1925.

While listening to the conversation, Cipher’s face reflected Etohn’s expression – devoid of emotion. The only anomaly came in the form of the Saiyan glancing towards Audrey with mild irritation ghosting her eyes as the Captain debunked whatever information she gathered alluding to him being a commander. With a sigh, she leaned against the wall near the doorframe. Lifting her hand, she tangled her finger with one of the dark locks of hair bordering her face and started to idly twist it while listening to the discussion go on. Had they met anyone else, the negotiations might have ended right there. That was not the kind of first impression she wanted to leave. Audrey went on to explain the confusion, while Cipher continued her repetitive gesture. To some extent, she managed to save face. On the other hand, she was not sure how much Etohn cared. In fact, judging from the tone, idiosyncrasies and presumed half-joke, she doubted he possessed enthusiasm for the alibis or the dwelling on it. She supposed it was the thought that counts. She revealed their reason for being present. Cipher’s jaw tensed when she heard mention of the Galactic Empire, but her expression remained the same. The android elaborated on the assassination, the ruse, the propaganda, and the lack of a statement by the Saiyan Dominion. Cipher possessed opinions of her own she wanted to express, but instead of interrupting Audrey, she waited for her to finish. Anyone paying attention to her even remotely may notice her brow furrowing and her lips curling into a frown with the mention of Anti-Saiyan sentiment. She concluded by mentioning a name Cipher was not familiar with. Rather, she heard of the name but failed to meet him personally. Having heard a little about him from Audey, she deeply regretted not being able to have the luxury. At least now she received her opportunity to add to the explanation and proposition. She turned her red eyes towards Etohn, discontinuing her habitual hair twisting. “I have no such anti-Saiyan sentiment,” Cipher started, her voice firm. “I may have been born far away from my people’s home, but I am a proud Saiyan warrior nonetheless. I haven’t forgotten my pride, nor my people, and I have finally come before them. I will do everything in my power to help usurp this regime that would see us antagonized.”Pausing for a moment and closing her eyes, she opened them once more and continued. “I can vouch for these men and women. The allies I have made – they are warriors true to their cause. A united front would be the bane of this oppression. However, for me, this is more personal, beyond just a potential alliance,” Her expression softened, and her lips spread into a small, rare smile. “Should the Resistance and the Dominion work as a cohesive unit, I would finally be able to achieve my goal of fighting alongside the Saiyan Dominion. I would like to lend my power to the Dominion directly.”

Audrey's hasty apologies for her mis-ranking of him brought a quick smirk to his face. She definitely seemed the type to get flustered about formalities, the exact opposite of the Dominion Captain. Etohn really didn't care about their mistake, but the fact that they tried to apologize meant they took him seriously, at least. Quickly regaining his composure, he allows the woman to continue. As she drifted to the main topic of their chat, however, he quickly began to regret this meeting. They wanted to know about whether the Saiyan Dominion was behind the Galactic King's death. Now, this was a very difficult situation they put Etohn in. As he wasn't actually physically in the Dominion at that time, that meant that all he knew about the event was from what his superiors mentioned, which was very, very little. He could probably piece the situation together, but it was not only not his concern, nor his place to say stuff about it willy nilly. For this, he'd remain silent, his composure still in check. Of course, the point of it all was to combine their forces with the Dominion's to increase their collective odds of taking down the Empire. Not a bad proposition, but she clearly underestimated the Saiyan's resources. "I would not go as far to say that the Dominion is in any bad position against them. As you can imagine, I really am not allowed to talk about much of this sorta stuff to ya guys, but I'm not going to turn down the idea of your assistance. Your friend over there seems pretty strong, so y'all don't seem like chumps." Giving a small nod as he finished saying his piece, he motions for her to continue. He was perfectly composed, waiting for her to finish her words. She couldn't have much more to elaborate on, by this point, and he was about ready to call it and file the papers to get such a proposition to Radia. And then Audrey mentioned Taro. While his face maintained its previous mask, his prosthetic right arm, set off by the pure emotion rushing through his mind at the name, clenched down onto the top of his desk, the digits of it embedding slightly into the wooden surface. "Ahh...my mentor...The reason you can't meet him..." As he speaks, the prosthesis continues digging itself further in, the sound of the desk slowly breaking apart growing. "...is because he died. Since you seem to know so much, you probably know why that is, too." A tear leaks from the corner of his eye, prompting him to relinquish his grasp upon his furniture and wiping it away with his right arm. Then, he leans back into his seat, the only sign of his emotions being his distant stare. While giving Cipher spoke, Etohn hardly was able to focus upon her words. Something something proud Saiyan. Something something this is personal. As she finished giving her input, Etohn lets out a sigh. Slowly, he begins reaching his right sleeve, shortly followed by the sound of buckles unlatching. With a twist, his right arm pops right out, revealing the extremely realistic recreation of the limb as a fake. Placing it upon the table, one could really tell how high quality the object was. Pores dotting its surface, hairs of the same coloration as his actual hair interspersed over it, and some mesh to serve as skin that actually morphs slightly as its set down, like actual flesh. Towards the top of it, however, one could see the notch for some blunt object to be inserted into, with multiple pods within it to collect the brain's inputs that flow to it. Pushing back his sleeve, Etohn reveals the nub that remains of his right arm. Extending maybe half the length of his forearm down from the elbow, it ends in a mess of scarred tissue, some of the skin nearly pitch-black. Tilting his eyes towards Cipher, a cold gaze falling over her, Etohn mutters, "You talk about this being personal to you, but did you have friends in the Dominion? Maybe an acquaintance? Since I'm the second Saiyan you've met, I'm gonna assume not. So, how about you imagine your best friend. Now, let's say another one of your close friends stole something from you. Something real important. Something that, if you didn't have it, you wouldn't feel like a whole person anymore, and it's only worsened by the fact that somebody you trusted was the one to take it. Now, while you're crying about that terrible thing that happened to you, since that's all you could feel like doing in that situation, that old friend then killed your best friend. There was nothing you could do about it. It's not your fault. Aside from the fact that you know both of those people, you have no real connection to it happening, either. Yet still, it makes you feel even worse than you already did. It makes you want to die." These last words come out in a snarl, vitriol lacing his every syllable, though it was clearly not stemming from what the woman said. His past was what fueled this anger. With a huff, he covers his injury again and equips his prosthetic back in place. By now, all semblance of hiding his emotions was lost, a furious flame burning in his eyes. Leaning forward to look back to Audrey, the mix of fury and sadness almost visibly clashing within his gaze, he speaks. "I can't say anything about the Dominion. I can say, however, that Polaris was definitely the one to kill the King. He...has been insane enough to do something like that for years now."Words: 954 (Total: 2422) Audrey | Cipher

Hearing and seeing his sigh in response, the brief instance of a smile she donned rapidly dissolved from her face. With a sobered expression, her crimson eyes watch as he reached for his right sleeve. The sounds of unlatching and the subsequent twisting and pop induces a feeling in her own stump on an arm reminiscent of when she first lost it, causing her to wince slightly. The gesture managed to fracture the collected mask she wore, her eyes widening while witnessing him reveal the scars of his past. The prosthesis differed from her own, incredibly more realistic and made with sophisticated technology, but served the same purpose. The quality aside, the revelation genuinely surprised her. Witnessing him pry his sleeve back and display the extremely familiar nub paved in a layer of darkened scar tissue, her mouth felt dry. For a moment, she felt utterly at a loss for words. Knowing the pain of losing a limb well, she felt a surge of sympathy. She met his frigid stare with one steeped in surprise. However, as he started to speak to her and she listened to his words, he successfully peeled away the stoic mask she spent months moulding to protect her wounded heart. From what she heard from him, along with his words and reaction earlier, tragedy riddled his past. The tale he described felt eerily familiar to her. It felt familiar to the point that it opened the scars on her heart and let them bleed freely once again. The story encompassed the relation between three individuals, and one of the triad’s subsequent betrayal. Even the slowest individuals could deduce the meaning behind the stealing, given the Captain’s allusion to his arm. While ensnared in a familiar episode of pain, the other close friend robbed his best friend of his life. Cipher’s tail unwound from her waist and swayed behind her, drooping slightly as she lowered her head. Her bangs cast a shadow over her eyes, and the look of surprise morphed into anger. She clenched her teeth loud enough to be heard by every individual in the room, a dull ringing in her ears as her own emotions burst free from the ironclad prison she placed them in. Looking back up, she appeared on the verge of tears herself as she glared back at Etohn. Though her eyes burned, she endured while she spoke. “Imagine my best friend…?” She spat in return, her own tone drenched in venom. “He’s already dead.” A pause, her remaining hand clenching into a fist. Unlike her practiced tone from before, her voice sounded raw with emotion. Even Audrey probably had not seen her like before. “Both my mentor and my best friend. The person who, when I was just a rat on the street picking fights with everyone who looked at me wrong, no idea what to do with myself, brought me in and taught me martial arts. Showed me better ways to use my strength, teaching others how to protect themselves, helping people. Never killed anyone, never asked for a damn penny. And then all of a sudden it comes crashing down. A fellow student goes ahead and kills my best friend and teacher. Wasn’t there when it happened but was too weak to prevent it anyway. Don’t even get the luxury of knowing the reason why at first. Chase him down, next thing I know lose something and it makes me feel like half a person.”Cipher grabbed her own right sleeve and peeled it up. The nub where her right arm used to be was not as grisly of a sight as Etohn’s, however she lost it did not seem to be relevant to burning. However, the thick scarring seemed almost surgical in nature, as though a hefty armament had cleaved it off. “The feeling that I could have done something, the knowledge of my own weakness eating away at me from the inside out. The urge to just give up. Yet at the same time, founding my obsession with power, to never have to experience that feeling again. But I was naïve. The phantom pain, both physical and mental, they never ago away. We all have our scars.”Using magic materialization to summon her prosthetic limb from her private cruiser into her grasp, she squeezed it in her hand tightly. It was a lot more robust, metallic, and primitive looking than Etohn’s, looking as though it belonged to some kind of robot, but she cherished it. Her eyes narrowed, fire kindled in her own eyes. It was the synthetic limb Audrey helped her acquire in her moment of weakness all of those months ago. The part that attached to her arm looked considerably less refined as well, the hooks and other wicked implements meant to connect with her nerves medieval in comparison to the Captain’s. She still pushed it onto her own stump without wincing, uttering one last thing before turning her gaze away from Etohn. “But we’re not alone. It feels like it all of the time, but we don’t have to shoulder the shit alone.”

Well it looked like Captain Etohn was not the kind of guy to worry about such things. A stroke of luck on her side....but she's definitely gonna give the informant who nearly cost her the meeting a good tongue lashing. Either a lower cut on her next hopefully accurate intel or a good slap. Or both. Yes, both sounds a lot better now. Etohn quickly denied that the Saiyan were in any position when it comes to taking care of the Galactic Empire through subterfuge though if this was his pride as part of the Dominion speaking or he genuinely believe that was hard to be ascertain. Of course her only reference at this moment of time was the battle that was rumored to claim Commander Taro's life...she would need more data before she can form conclusion on the strength of the Dominion. Fortunately, said pride did not turn away potential help much to the android's delight. It was the reason why she had bring Cipher along for this trip, having known the warrior's desire to make contact with her own people. That they weren't picky with their help was a good thing as well, she had feared that they would trust no one else but a fellow Saiyan. All in all, she had said her piece and it was just a matter of checking how accurate the intel about Eothn's relationship with Commander Taro. Audrey had expected multiple reactions but tears was not one of them. Clearly the relation between the two of them were very close.... The android's eyes drifted towards the detached prosthetics, quite realistic in design like the kind one can get in a high-end cybernetics shop. The craftsmanship was quite something else...which made the android wonder if the Dominion have their own cybernetic shops or whether Etohn had imported the arm from someone else. Her attention drifted back to Etohn as he began to regale his story, using anecdotes and not mentioning which one is which. It wasn't until the end of his story she can somewhat figure out the identity behind them...and though her face maintain a stoic expression a slight pang of sympathy can be felt in her heart. Finally he confirmed that the one who kill the Galactic King was not one of them but Polaris himself....which was all that she needed to know. The Captain doesn't look like he would be lying nor did she see any benefit in him lying to them. Whatever that person before this matter little to her, he always had a poor view on the android and frankly the feeling was mutual. Said revelation brought out Cipher's in return which cause her eyes to widen in surprise. Never had the Saiyan mentioned about her past in such detail and with such raw emotion...not even to the other members of Valkyries. That she would reveal such thing here would mean that Etohn's story strikes too close to her. The venom in her voice, the fury in her eyes....but more importantly the pain behind them. Were they alone she would have pulled her close to try to ease the pain but now she could only content herself with a sympathetic stare. Her hand twitched slightly as she consider putting it on her back before she decided to refrain from doing so. She would need to save it until after the meeting so the Saiyan can retain her toughness in front of others. When her friend said they need not be alone the android nodded before turning towards the young Captain to add her own remarks to the situation. "She's right. Trying to shoulder all this by yourself is not a sign of strength...what's important is for you to find people that you can trust." the android paused slightly. To have Etohn divulge such thing with such emotion...she was certain it could not have been easy for him. "Still, that you chose to share such sensitive subject...we are honored. We won't speak about this with the others and though needless to be said, I hope that you would keep what my friend had revealed under wrap as well in return." One's past can easily be a weakness one can hold over another...she rather not have complication to arise on how their enemy knows of their past. The android's then took out a card to which an email and a number was printed on one's surface. "Should Her Majesty desire to witness or procure our services, you need only contact us with the details written on that card. That's my private contact detail so you may expect swift reply." With that the android pushed the card across the table towards Etohn before awaiting whether the young Captain have anything further to say in return. It seems as though his tale struck a cord with the Half-Saiyan woman, her calm demeanor gradually breaking down more and more as he continued. Their shock at the sight of his injury. The sadness that clouded them as he continued on with his story. The anger lacing her vision as he finished. She felt something because of what he said, and whatever it was, it was not pleasant. Etohn was merely having an emotional outburst at the mention of Polaris and Taro, but unluckily enough, Cipher happened to be put down memory lane due to that. It finally proved too much for them, and he could only sit there in silence as her turn for breaking her composure was now. Just like he thought, it was almost a parallel to his own life. Living on their own, just getting by and fighting to pass the time. Then they met a mentor who changed their life, who gave them a new path, who was truly a good person. Then a friend killed that important person. Oh, and they took away an arm. A really weird coincidence, but Etohn was far too flustered to consider that. After her piece, however, Cipher was not quite done. She said something that briefly caused his glare to falter. That everybody has their own scars. It's not as though he's never thought about other people having gone through hardships. That was just a part of life for everyone. The reason it gave him a pause was because of his recent encounter with Polaris. The young Captain learned a few things about the Frost Demon during their momentary skirmish, and it shed some light on their point of view. There was definitely something from their past that pushed them to the lengths they've gone too, and maybe, perhaps, it was on a similar level to what happened to the Half-Saiyans in this room. If that was the case, could Etohn himself end up the same way if he lets these "scars" hold him back? Finally, he was told that to that handling it all alone wasn't required of him. Steeling his gaze once again, he nods to Cipher before listening to Audrey's words. Not so subtly following up on their ally's statement, it was crystal clear that these people were intending on having him work with them. It's not as though he disliked the idea, just it was clear that these people wanted to have his, and the Dominion's, aid against Polaris. Audrey also made it an effort to assure him that the words shared here today would be kept quiet. Given the nature of what he discussed, that was definitely for the best. He acted unprofessionally, and now these two have some information about him that could be used to take advantage of him. Of course, Cipher also did the same, but she also wasn't a Captain and well respected member of the Saiyan Dominion. "Alright, so long as you do not reveal what I've said today, I can do the same. And I mean it. Everything spoken of here shouldn't pop up in some tabloid, aight? I'd rather not get demoted because stuff I said was taken out of context." The idea of losing his rank didn't concern him very much, but disappointing the Queen was a bit of a harder thing to just be okay with, given her connection to his mentor and the trust she put onto him. Taking Audrey's card, he briefly casts his gaze down towards it before pocketing it. "If that's all, then I think we're done for now. Was nice chatting with you two."Words: 606 (Total: 3028) Audrey | Cipher

Audrey exhaled in relief after hearing the young Captain agreed to keeping things under wraps. The outburst was unexpected but at least they managed to take the necessary measures for damage control...she didn't even have any plans to reveal Etohn's background to any media outlet but she would not hesitate to do so if she find out her partner's history getting leaked to underground by the Captain. "Of course. The only tabloids I read are occult related one anyways and I highly doubt they are interested." Audrey replied with a smooth smile. It may sounded like a joke at first but for those who knew her personally would be able to tell it was the truth. Ever since that trip to the underworld the android had develop an interest in them and even paid a yearly subscription to one. Not to mention having a couple of actual demons who associate with them at one point or another. As neither party have anything further to add on the matter, the young Captain concluded the meeting. Nodding slowly, the android stood at attention once more though she caught herself from saluting him. Old habit die hard she supposed. "The pleasure is ours Captain. We look forward to receiving your favorable response." The android waited for if Cipher had anything to say before finally leading her away from the meeting room. Their meeting had conclude earlier than expected and the android knew that Cipher had long look forward to a chance of mingling with those of her kind. So what comes next to her was quite obvious. "Well then, it's not everyday we get to visit a Saiyan's planet. Should we do some sightseeing Cipher?" Audrey asked, flashing her a smile. Should she agree, she would then bring her partner to taste the local cuisine, visit the local attractions and perhaps do a little shopping in the area. Interestingly enough, Katchin weapons and armor were cheaper here than other places...perhaps due to the abundance of material on this planet. Other than that, they spent most of the time getting acquainted of the culture and history of the area before they finally head back to her private war cruiser. Cipher EtohnPost word count: 360. The Captain asked for confidentiality, to which Cipher nodded. The more she lived, the more she started to cultivate more secrets with every passing day. It did not bother the Saiyan, and she did not desire to see Etohn’s position effected by something she perceived to be petty at best. She did not harbour any anger towards him, she merely felt her scars ache in response to the alarmingly similar chain of experiences. In turn, she had nothing to gain from haphazard exposure. Even during his initial elaboration, she did not think him out of hand. Others seemed to disagree with her, but she knew what it was like to be in that situation. Those who have not felt despair of that level, in her opinion, did not have the right to comment. Still, having spent the majority of what was on her mind and trying to assure the fellow Saiyan that he had allies willing to help him, she lacked much more commentary to add and remained silent. Besides, if she did not uphold the oath of secrecy, she would lose credibility and people would discontinue telling her valuable things. No matter how she looked at it, she lacked both desire or reason to try to compromise anything. With the meeting concluded and hopefully a favourable response in waiting, Audrey decided to oblige the rendezvous’ conclusion. She gestured towards Audrey to let her know she would be following shortly, before facing Etohn with a couple of departing words in mind. “Apologies, by the way. Memory lane’s never been a pleasant walk,” She started, turning partially and glancing at him in her peripheral. “If you ever wish to converse about anything, don’t hesitate to call. Never met anyone who’s been through what I have before until now.” The ghost of a wry smile emerged upon her lips, a nonchalant wave in his direction. “Take care.”With those conclusive words, she made her way outside alongside Audrey. She proposed they continue sightseeing around the place. Still fairly shaken by her inadvertent throughput of bottled emotions, a weak nod was delivered in response. Since she yearned to mingle with other members of her race for a long time, getting more familiar sounded like a pleasant experience. She hoped it would drown out her bout of unprofessionalism a couple minutes ago. Besides, food always improved her mood. No matter how obsessive she became over strength or how warped her thoughts became from exposure to ill-advised influence, Cipher still loved her food. And she bet the servings were gigantic given the appetites of her lineage. Throughout the day, their potential ally – the fellow one-armed Saiyan – still hung in the back of her mind.
