MOTIVATIONS:
Appos only has one goal in life: Serve the Continuum. He was born to serve, trained to serve, and he will die serving. Other than that Appos holds a great deal of affection for his Squad mates, who he considers to be his brothers. He would rather die than let one of them get killed. Like other MELON Troopers he was bred to kill Saiyans effectively and efficiently. So long as such conditions are met, he will be content with his life. For complaints only result in a shot to the head in The Continuum.
QUIRKS:
Unlike his other comrades, Appos has quite a bit more individuality. The cause of which will be explained in his backstory. It has served him well throughout his tours against the enemies of the Continuum, though some higher officials may feel it to be stange a somewhat risky. He holds a great bond with his squad members and is rather passionate when it comes to protecting them. Aside from those unique traits Appos can be described as a Loyal and dedicated MELON Trooper. If an Officer asks him to jump, he asks “Which Saiyan do I land on?”
BONDS:
MT-333 “Three Piece”
Three Piece is the heavy weapons specialist of S-341 “Lemun Squad”. After serving in several battles against The Saiyan Dominion, Three piece has become a solemn and brutal killing machine. He despises Saiyans more than some Tuffles and has even taken to collecting the tails of his fallen foes as a trophies. Three Piece holds one of the highest kill counts in Lemun Squad, with a preference of high yield explosives and stationary HMGs.
MT-045 “Kiwi”
Kiwi serves as the combat medic of Lemun Squad. He is perhaps the most loyal member of the squad, even being nicknamed “Uncle Continuum” by some other MELON Troopers. Even going as far as hanging up Continuum propaganda posters along his Barrack walls. He is willing to give up his life to not only save his squad, but any Continuum member in need of help. Two high ranking officers and at least 3 MELON troopers owe their lives to Kiwi, though he accepts no thanks or rewards, simply stating “I’m doing what I was born to do”
MT-867 “Honeydew”
If you see the glint of his scope, you won’t see anything else much longer. A crack shot and wise ass, Honeydew serves as the Sniper/Scout of Lemun Squad. Honeydew is one of the more light hearted MELONS. Though he is not disrespectful to any officers by any account, he does have an issue with cracking jokes at inappropriate times and just being an all around asshole sometimes. Especially when he hits his marks. Some famous lines include: “Did you see that? His head went up like Planet Vegeta!” “Shhh, I’m aiming for his Widow's Peak” or “One hell of a final flash, eh?”.
BACKSTORY:
MT-772, or Appos to his squad, is a highly elite MELON Trooper. MELON troopers are a genetically modified Saiyan Super Soldier who serve as a counter to the Saiyan threat to the Continuum. Appos was vat grown and artificially aged by age 13, brainwashed into believing that he must serve the Continuum with absolute loyalty. Appos however is a bit different from his fellow MELON troopers. He has a great deal of individuality compared to other MELON Troopers along with a wider array of emotions, something almost considered a glitch among the other MELON Troopers. This abnormality is caused by a specialized gene, implanted in Appos at creation. In an attempt to fully improve the MELON Troopers to Saiyan levels of power Project Legend-Slayer was created. Scientists of the Continuum had managed to isolate the Super Saiyan Gene after thousands of trials and errors. It was “Improved” upon and eventually ready for testing. With this, they took 20 of the 700 class MELON Troopers at creation and implanted it within. Out of the 20 only 5 managed to survive. The unintended side effect of this operation was the development of greater emotional range, given that the Super Saiyan form required Emotions in order to achieve. Appos and the other four subjects did not obtain any Super Saiyan form within the estimated time, and were thus released back into normal MELON Trooper populations. The project was deemed a failure and shut down. Appos was assigned to S-341, better known as Lemun Squad. Together he and his squad have led at least ten combat operations against The Saiyan Dominion with most being regarded as successful.
CALL TO ACTION:
Appos has no real Call To Action, as he has alway served the Continuum in the War against the Saiyans.
