In regard to Cam's hair, it was currently pulled back into a ponytail and a golden band was clasped in a ring around it, he treated it with some designer products likely and he was certain to bathe near every day. His hair was so well cared for and the unique prismatic additions that his race had to their hair made his dusky locks look almost like a corvidae's feathers, the mixture of teal, purple and opal sheen catching in the light whenever his head turned. He could see Meiku wanted to do the right thing and help his people, there were thousands if not millions of people who were in crisis on the planet, and if they could be saved that would only help cement solidarity under Cam's rule. He reached down to the chain hanging around his neck, a lustrous red gem dangling from it, "Well, it wasn't so much thrust as I was the first one in five hundred years to recover this," he took the amulet off and offered it over to Meiku to look at. Should she touch it, instantly a pulse of erratic energy would rush through her fingertips, "The Emperor's blood. said to be worn by every legitimate emperor this planet has ever had. It's a symbol of leadership for our people. It's said that were someone unworthy of it, if they're not strong enough the Amulet will eventually crush them under its own strength," he shrugged once, "It's imbued with some kind of power, though It's never hurt anyone. Some legends are just that: Legends." When she was done looking at it he would replace it around his neck, "As for responsibilities, that's up to you. I've yet to for a cabinet or true command. If you cared to take a place in it and had the abilities--which clearly your raw power is enough as far as fighting goes," the Kabochan pointed out, "But a fleet will need to be repaired. Armies outfitted, built, fed, maintained. Crusher Corp and my people need help now more than effort. You're not beholden to me in any capacity outside of a professional one though, if that's what your asking. I won't make you take any oaths or limit you with some sort of fabricated politicking. You do good work, the only responsibility you'll have is the people who will rely on you." Cam stated succinctly, "Of course we would pay you. Outfit you with gear, armor, weapons, ships, really anything you needed. Truth be told I had a pod readied for you before you came, as I wasn't sure what you would say." He offered the mechanic a genuine smile, not one meant to convince Meiku of anything but rather a display that the Kabochan was pleased with Meiku's choice, "I imagine your stealth technology if it could be replicated on a larger level would be something I would want my fleet to have. Though let me ask you... Are you comfortable if your technology is used to outfit my armies?" the tone of his voice one of genuine concern, Cam didn't normally concern himself with the ethics of the matter, but he wanted to appear as noble and thoughtful as he could to the mechanic. Perhaps if she saw that he was making an effort she would be all the more certain it was the right choice to give him her technology, "It'll be used as an advantage, make no mistake, but it could also be used for our medical evac ships, on our space installations to keep them more safe, but with this I can make some decisive victories against the Dominion and Ikondans." And he could. With a fleet of stealth attack pods Cam could rain shocktroopers completely undetected on his enemies and wipe them out without so much as a warning, in that scope it sounded savage, but it wouldn't be used on civilians, the Crusher Corp as well as Cam had done well to maintain a reputation that they weren't hired killers but rather a unified army that would fight to the standards given by the entity hiring them.

The rather pleasant lighting of the room lulled the woman into a trance. Her eyes glimmered while eyeing the gold that decorated the Emperor’s crown. It was fitting, and to be frank--Cam didn’t look all that bad tonight despite his earlier sand bandit attire. A bit of salsa dripped down her chin as she gawked at the Kabochan man quietly. Besides the sound of crunching chips filling the air.
Meiku wouldn’t have told you a single boy she liked in school, she were much too reserved and often kept to herself. Many a man called Mei their friend, but never would they have considered the woman a romantic interest. She could care less for it too, but her passions laid elsewhere. Helping accomplish tangible goals was what set her soul on fire. Figuring out solutions for immensely tragic problems so you can be the sole one regarded with praise and notoriety. That was her sin.
She grew bitter on the fact that her career didn’t quite take off the way she had planned it all out at nine years old. She didn’t get that dream job after graduating and had been stagnant in her progression since. This power had been the greatest gift at the worst moment in her life. She finally felt that not only her mind could make a difference, but her body had the power to benefit the masses as well. She daydreamed about being a fictional ‘hero’ for a moment before snapping her attention back on the man beside of her.
Cam brought her attention towards the amulet that dangled from his neck, even offering it to her to study. She did, her calloused fingers running over the surface of the trinket. Immediately it snapped to life in her fingers. Just holding it sent shivers up her spine. She handed the amulet back and nodded quietly as he continued on. To Meiku, the man appeared to be in the beginning stages of establishing a form of government.
“Gotcha, I could teach your current men too. Perhaps that will help the technology I produce get manufactured at a hastier rate.” Meiku nodded and kicked the shoes off of her small feet. It was only fair she get comfortable when having conversations about plans and politics.
“Anything? Anything that I need? That is quite the offer Cam. I appreciate your hospitality. Everything here so far seems really nice.” Meiku answered earnestly.
Cam shot that smile. She averted her gaze until it was gone, her face now visibly flustered, or perhaps the alcohol caused that.
The Earthling listened intently to Cam as he spoke, concern plagued his voice in every word. He spoke of how her technology would be used, making sure she knew of what cause she were supporting. She were very much aware however. The Earthling bellowed a chuckle before her eyes grew narrow.
“Be you use my technology to save, help or start the next major war---I really don’t mind. It’s not as if anyone in this galaxy knows who I am.” Meiku grew bitter, her brows furrowing at the thoughts of her past failures.
Sure, she had some nice projects here and there. But no substantial money, work, or breakthroughs. She was unable to pay her student loans with mere chump change so reluctantly, Meiku returned to her family’s mechanic job to gain the funds. She had big aims for her future that only got shot down over and over again. At least by helping Cam she knew his people would no longer suffer.
Be it helping her own planet or another, she didn’t care. Meiku just wanted the notoriety for that.
“I would like to see you in action one day. I need to make sure my boss isn’t a shrimp.” Her face was all smiles and laughs now, she did want to know how powerful someone like the Kabochan was. She was just now getting into training her body and needed the motivation of someone stronger than her to aim for. Perhaps even eventually closing those gaps.

The Kabochan laughed at the implication, "Go ahead and check my power level with your scouter if you like," Cam took no measure to hide his power and he boasted a current power level over one hundred and ten thousand, a power level that was nearly rivaling that of the once legendary Captain Ginyu, and if Cam powered up his abilities likely got even stronger, though he didn't have the ability to swap forms, at least as far as anyone knew. "There's videos out there, I'm sure. That or you can talk with some of the regulars. I don't care to brag about my abilities. Let others make their judgements," indeed there was footage out there that had gone viral of Cam with a Shocktrooper squad, taking over an independent space station and ruthlessly slaying two Saiyan Dominion guards with an energy blast, then a mob of them charging the Kabochan, only for him to defeat or kill each and every one of them on his own. That wasn't to say he made it look effortless though, if Meiku searched for the footage she would see it was quite a scuffle, lasting nearly three minutes back and forth, Cam was stabbed and slashed with a sword at one point, shot with a bolt of ki several times, and punched or kicked quite a few times as well, though he guarded just as many if not more attacks. It was a brawl that not only outlined the ferocity he had, but one that would reveal just how resilient as a species a Kabochan could be. The finale came when another squad showed up down the hallway and opened fire. Each and every bolt of ki they shot was either deflected, absorbed, or sent right back at his the one who fired it, in a matter a five minute video, Cam had killed twenty Saiyan soldiers and wounded an additional seventeen. Two occupying squads meant to hold the space station as a listening outpost for the Saiyan Dominion. Now it was a Kabochan empire installation. Though assuming she didn't look up any of that, Cam would show off a power that had yet to be captured on video. He lifted his palm, his glass rising off the table in front of the couch and levitating over to his hand, "I have my parlor tricks and what you would call trade secrets to be certain. Don't go and underestimate me. I almost count on my foes to make that mistake, though these days it seems people consider me a legitimate force to be reckoned with. I count that as a blessing. Though if you really are the fighting type... Our planet will be under attack soon. You'll see what I can do then."

“Check your power level eh?” Meiku chuckled before leaning forward in her seat. She grabbed the purple lens scouter before locking in onto her head. A slender finger pressed to the button, and the generic calculating sounds chimed for a second before the numbers manifested on the screen. He was stronger than her, that was for sure---but there was hope she could still catch up to such a level. To think she could rival the power of that of an emperor, that was mind blowing to the Earthling.
She noted the number, the smile on her face unfading as she removed the scouter once more. It was good that she were not serving under someone who was less capable than herself. She enjoyed having someone to rely on while she still focused on her own combat skills and training. Cam went on the talk of the videos documenting his strength and moves in action. She could make sure to watch them later once she returned to her quarters; that is--since she were now not planning on taking that pod to New Namek after all.
Meiku chuckled before folding the scouter and setting it back on the tabletop before the pair. She rested an elbow into the back of the couch before propping her chin up with her palm.
“I see, so you’re quite the strong man I see.” Meiku didn’t praise him too much, leaving the man’s ego struggling for more.
She watched on, it appeared that the Kabochan still wanted to display his power despite her compliments. She paused, watching as he telepathically moved the glass from off the tabletop and into his grasp. It seemed that Cam had quite the arsenal of tricks, and now Meiku was interested. It reminded her of her own power when it first manifested. Random items would fall from her skin like magic. Now that she finally were able to hone this power she herself could perform such parlor tricks.
“I would never underestimate you.” Meiku eyed the glass on the table of her’s that was bone-dry. She reached and picked up glass before raising it to her face. There was nothing for her to drink, instead however her cheeks blew up with what seemed to be air. She spit into the cup, a pool of water and a small frog plopping into the clear container. It were like a trick seen on television, but it was all Meiku could think of at the time.
“Voila.” Meiku mumbled, waving a hand before the glass was empty once more. Of course, she would allow the man to observe her trick more closely first. One he were satisfied she returned the empty cup to the table and began laughing to herself.
“Seems you’re not the only one with tricks.” Meiku mumbled, noting that Cam mentioned a future attack of his planet. She could only wonder how he could sit so calmly while preparing for a threat. The Earthling could only speculate that on Earth, the governments would work tirelessly to defend their people and assets. Perhaps Cam already had a plan of protection for his own people.
“So, you know of an attack, and you’re sitting here looking cute with a woman? Seems like you’re unworried.” Meiku could feel the power pooling off of Cam. She would be there to witness the attack, and her boss in action. She wondered about his particular fighting style and techniques. So far she had learned much from watching others in combat, and taking quite a few ass beatings.
“I look forward to seeing it, perhaps I can be a bit of aid to your cause in that region too. I have been known to get into quite a few scuffles.” She bluffed. Yeah, she had been in fights with many of normal power. But only one since her new-found explosion of abilities. Audrey had defeated the girl on Earth a while earlier. Since that interaction Meiku were left groveling for more experience and abilities of her own. Cam

Cam wanted to tell her she had no idea, but truly, for what was about to come, Cam had no idea himself. "Eh, I'm not impressive. I can weave nearly any energy I can see though," he paused, "Ah, you should know. My race doesn't have the normal perceptions that the majority of sapient species tend to have. You see in three spectrums of color, and only on that prismatic spectrum. While I do see all of that, Kabochans see more," he sipped from his glass, he knew exactly what the process of Meiku's trick with her energy was, though that didn't make it any less bizarre, the Kabochan laughing softly at the display, "Just put that anywhere," he muttered. "I can see in infrared and microwave spectrums, as well as two other color spectrums," Cam explained, "As such, I can see the energy in your body like a seeing a candle flame through a piece of paper. A glow under your skin that even you can't see," truly what the emperor was trying to explain was not so easily done, how did you explain a color to someone that had never seen it? How did you explain sight to someone who had been blind all their lives? As such it made Kabochans a hard species to catch off guard, and one of the few species where nearly everyone in it knew about the energies they could manifest and use. Sure not everyone was trained to fight, but many people knew how to fly or augment their strength with energies. Those who trained in it quickly learned to manifest ki orbs and beams, how to use it defensively and offensively, and learned martial arts styles, both native and what was known of the training of other large armies that were threats at the time, "It's like... I can see all the little lights in you. Like veins of your human christmas lights that flow through your body. I can see them in everyone. I can also see some colors you can't, energy distortions from ships before and after they make a jump across space," the Kabochan shrugged once, "It allows me to read your strikes even before you make them. It's a sort of telegraphing, even if you don't actually move your arm, I can see your body's energy moving to your palm as you get ready to strike. No species has developed a counter to such senses as far as I know." Finishing off his glass he walked forward and set it down, "Past that any strength I have comes from my training and the people around me. I hardly consider myself a champion given the people I've fought in the past. Some are..." He shook his head, "There's truly evil and powerful things out there. I'd rather see us all stronger and ready for it. I'm here talking with you because if the Saiyan Dominion attacked right now," he snapped his fingers for emphasis, "I would be ready for it, and I am," his voice every bit as sincere and honest as it could be. Cam had two massive anti-space craft guns that could disable flagships with just a single shot. He had not one, but two fleets guarding the planet in a nearly perfect blockade. He had armies on the ground waiting for invaders, and he had people putting civilization back together, people who would no matter what, always fight for their homeland. "Kabocha is ready. When the Saiyans arrive, we'll crush them. I'll take their leaders prisoner as I have thrice times before, and I will draw Radia herself out." He looked impassioned now, his plan so close to fruition he could nearly taste victory. The future for both himself and his people brighter than ever. He shook his head as he entered a long pause, eventually just laughing sheepishly, "Sorry, I get a bit worked up at times. It's... Is it strange to say this is the best moment of my life?" he asked, "I'm not under anyone's thumb, I've more friends and allies than ever. That seems like stuff worth fighting for." He paused before giving a devilish grin, "That or a large, large sum of money."

She listened to the man brag, but then rescind his ego for a moment. His species were certainly exceptional fighters, especially with such a skill. Meiku could only imagine the spats between Kabocha and its enemies. The Earthling felt a semblance of safeness among Cam and his people. Not that she were really worried about being harmed, but on a war-torn planet anything was possible.
Perhaps her trick were a bit more abrupt and bizarre than Cam’s, for she immediately felt her cheeks glow flustered from his awkward response. Yeah, he laughed--but she couldn’t help but be the butt of the joke with her silly frog in a glass. As quickly as it appeared it were gone once more, and Cam elaborated more about how useful his race could be. She couldn’t tell if it was gloating or a threat at this point.
Meiku narrowed her gray eyes, looking at Cam for a moment. If she were ever to be on his bad side,----let’s just not get on his bad side. Meiku internally monologued her fears of being killed in montage of different images of her getting killed. A ki blast to the head, no head. Eye lasers to the gut, eviscerated. The Earthling had better play her cards right from here on out, that is if she wanted to keep her head. She were allying with major factions at this point, that put her up for risk for helping them, hell--even being around them.
Cam stood after his explanation, he walked away for a moment to set down his drink. He spoke of his training, and all of his ordeals of the past. It seemed that he wanted to make Kabocha as a whole stronger more so than his own body. She could admire it, she would probably do the same in such a situation. The group collaboration and inciting of legislature to push his planet forward were positives for Kabocha.
The emperor worried not though. Despite many an enemy against him, he did not cower in the face of fear. He had resources, allies, and himself. He could handle whatever got thrown his way with ease. Being on top was like that, you had worries yes, but dying lingered in the back of the mind.
“I don’t think it’s strange at all. Hell, in the past month for me, things have changed dramatically.” Meiku stood before slipping the black shoes upon her feet. She stumbled her way towards the man, nodding her head at him and shooting him an appreciative glance. She had enjoyed her evening of talk, business, and drinks--but it was late. A sleepy expression played on the Earthling’s face.
“Money isn’t everything though. You have a good night Cam. I’m sure we will be in touch.” Meiku chuckled, the rest of their conversations were nothing but last minute tidbits and conversation about future plans. Meiku let herself out, and returned to a living quarters the man had prepared for the evening. It seemed like in the morning, she wasn’t going to board a pod for Earth or New Namek--but instead begin a new chapter of the Restoration of Kabocha. Cam TWC: 7670
