MOTIVATIONS: Once, it was apparent that he was a pampered demon child, from his garb and walk. He still does not deign to wear the rags of ogres, but much about him has changed. No longer does he dress in the loose and spacious gi bearing his family crest, but in a new uniform, leading no hint of identity beyond its flamboyant nature. His return to the Demon Realm, and now his second expedition from it, has made all the difference in his life. His dream of a Demon Realm spread wide across the mortal plane by the Demonic Queen who sired him has faded, and a new light appears in his eye. The light of a thought, that perhaps it is he who shall be the Demon God. Loved and pampered as he was, favored by his mother and adored by his siblings, it was his own ambition that drove them away, and now drives him forward.
QUIRKS: He is a queer one, that is for certain. His odd mannerisms, his jingling gait, and his lazy speaking. But it is not all he is. Like all of his kind, he harbors streaks of sadism and vile ambition. Perhaps a tad muted by his carefree and loose attitude, but he still desires the crushing of opponents, and the subjugation of the good. But as it has been said, he is not as bad as some might be. Perhaps there is hope yet for this naive wandering demon.
But with every passing day of his return, that hope if any may have it, has grown fainter and fainter. His discovery and commandeering of a Demon Portal, and its expansion into his world shifting ship have done little to quell his self centered heart, and much to encourage his heartless and driven nature.
BONDS: Formerly he was loved by his Demonness mother, who believed herself the ideal picture of a Demon God. Formerly he was adored and respected as the strongest of his siblings. But while he believed his excursion to the mortal world would have launched him even further ahead of them, it did in fact the opposite. While he scraped together scraps of power, his siblings were engaged in a demon war, that drove them to new heights of power. And upon his return, seeing them as they were, a seed of jealousy and resentment buried itself in his soft bosom.
So his discovery of a stable portal was kept from them, horded to himself, and the socialite demon retreated into a quiet hunt for items and power, prepared to return alone to the mortal realm, leaving his kin locked behind.
BACKSTORY: Born to a beautiful mother, demonic and powerful, into a pile of siblings, ambitious and privileged. It makes sense he would want to grow better than they, like they. With they. It just so happens that he was fortunate. Fortunate enough to discover a portal out. A way to the next world, one where he would not be bound to the sickeningly small confines of the demon realm. A place where he could really stretch out his legs. And perhaps conquer, in some form or another. Maybe a tiny bit, wouldn't want to get too ahead of himself, risk the wrath of someone blessed by the kais above.
He's grown far bolder in his self imposed exile of self discovery, of self betterment. He fears the Kais less and less, likely foolishly so. It is only a matter of time before he is put back into his place again. Until it is made clear that he is small enough to fit into the box the demon realm promises him. A box, full of those he has neglected. The day will come when he will have to beg for apology, he knows not that he should be hoping they will be open minded.
CALL TO ACTION: To stand astride a world is a lofty goal, and one slow to act upon. So it is easy for them to fall behind, rest on their laurels, kick it back. Take advantage of those weaker than them, et cetera et cetera et cetera. But, it occurred to them at a point... that they were incredibly alone, weren't they? Without their loving family. Sad, isnt it? Growing strong no longer seemed such a goal to achieve without a competitor, so perhaps it is that their new goal is to no longer go at it alone. There are more portals yes? He had been brought by luck, but they would be brought by destiny! And perhaps it had been destiny in the first place, that had stumbled he and that portal together?! His azure claws would drag his kin into this world, and together they would do what he thought was better done alone! Of course... knowing them they may get too busy caught up bickering to do all that much. But it should be a fun adventure all the besides. Notably less so for those in their way.
He still seeks family, he still seeks power and the companionship to wield it. But his trust in his family has been lost. Perhaps it was more than power he saw in his return. Perhaps it was more than being left behind that kept him from sharing his delightful portal with them.
