That handy button you use when your opponent is about to beat your face in, and your natural reflex is to tuck in a ball and hope something remains of your meat-suit after its over...that.
By sacrificing all bonus and standard actions, you can use a Block action; which I assume would reduce the damage taken by a certain margin. Obviously piercing attacks would ignore it, and by blocking; you are open for the next round of attacks without dealing any damage to the opponent that turn.
It's a little different than deflect in that the cost is high, and I could foresee problems with weaker characters not being able to land a scratch on a high level opponent who is just using it because the opponent scored a lucky roll.
I can see it helping out the really weak characters in a multi-battle scenario too, but could also slow down the battle speed. Your thoughts?
