Khoshai was beginning to run out of steam. His regeneration and active uptake of magic was draining his stamina in leagues. The only reason he didn't burn out earlier is because it is a known fact by this point that children have seemingly endless levels of stamina, and Khoshai was about as over excitable as kids got. But even children got tired, and Khoshai was hitting his limit. Luckily, the more he fought, the more he was able to recognize this feeling of intense fatigue and what it meant.
It meant that his regeneration would be slowing down. So it was best not to let things just cut him up anymore. Well, he had to try, at least. However, such was hard when his opponent most of the time simply phased into existence. As Legume timeskipped his way into an attack this time, Khoshai could hardly react in time before the hilt of the blade smashed into his forehead, causing it to cave in on itself, before the magic applied to that area began mending the point of injury. However, Khoshai was rather good about defending himself against the remainder of the attacks, weaving in and out of the man's rather wide and strong sword strokes, before his tail shot forward, extending and wrapping around Legume's neck, tightening within seconds to cut off the flow of oxygen. The boy yelled out a rather loud battle cry as his aura enveloped him, his power level increasing even more than it had before. How much stronger could the kid get before he reached his limit?
Vaulting forward, Khoshai moved to strike Legume in the center of the abdomen as hard as he could, enhancing his fist with magic and the Ki that he had managed to scrounge up. Not pausing for a moment, Khoshai would leap into the air, cupping his fists together before slamming them down upon the head of his opponent, in a similar manner of swinging a sledgehammer.

Khoshai's tail was too weak to push out any amount of oxygen from Legume's neck, the Saiyan slowly pulling the gummy appendage away - but the following heavy smash straight into his abdomen certainly left its mark. Legume flinched, the power of the blow rolling across his entire body and forcing him to make a weak step backwards. Not only that, but Khoshai wasn't even finished - already, a heavy double axe handle was heading straight towards him.
If he yields and lets himself get pummeled, there may be no end to Khoshai turning around the fight, not until he is beaten to a pulp. That won't do. And if he's going to be trying to win this bloody thing, then he cannot hold even a single technique back.
Suddenly, Legume ripped the Majin's tail off his neck and raised his forearm to block the incoming axe handle, the shockwave of the attack rolling across the battlefield and the momentum of the technique passing to the Saiyan, who immediately turned around and sent a kick straight towards Khoshai's cheek as a counterattack. Continuing on his combination, Legume activated his Time Skip, charging forward and throwing his fist straight towards the flying Majin's guts. He probably couldn't get the Majin to throw up his lunch, but it's still going to deal some serious damage.
Give up, damn it!
Legume did not wait even a second after the Time Skip technique faded to strike again, this time releasing dozens upon dozens of slashes with his greatsword to try to cut Khoshai up into a pink salad.

These were the final moments. Despite his intense power up, it was more out of desperation than anything else. The boy was running on fumes, and it was beginning to become apparent. His movements, while as forceful as ever, were beginning to grow sluggish. His movements were no longer as fast, and if they were, the boy seemed to only be exerting more energy to retain the same level of power.
This Super Saiyan's energy reserves seemed endless. Shouldn't there be some usage limit to controlling the fabric of time? It was almost impossible to trace the movements of the man. He was in one place one moment, and the next in a different location. As frustrated as Legume was with the Majin's resilience and body anatomy, Khoshai was frustrated with the man's speed, and his own inability to track him. The last straw was the counterattack. As his fists slammed against Legume's arm, the Saiyan was quick to go back onto the offensive, and within moments the boy was reeling back from a roundhouse kick across the face. Before he could even recover himself, he felt an intense pain in his midsection as Legume used a Time Skip to skip ahead and plant a rather forceful fist into his stomach, causing the boy to double over, gagging several times, falling to his knees.
His Majin Regeneration was fading quickly. The pain was lasting. It wasn't going away. To Khoshai, he was no stranger to pain. But usually, the pain was only present for an instant. He would feel pain whenever he was compromised and obliterated, but the magic present within his body would instantly soothe and numb it, as he began to piece back together. He was used to that kind of pain. What he wasn't used to was the lasting pain, and the soreness after that most organics had to deal with. He hated it. As Khoshai fell to his knees, Legume wasted no time continuing with his offensive, the dozens of slashes coming his way forcing Khoshai to continue to act, pushing through the pain.
Forcing his magic to work for him, the boy had no choice but to diced and chopped up, but he swiftly changed his body constitution, liquefying into a gooey state, allowing the blade to cut through with relatively no resistance, only for Khoshai to mend back together afterwards. However, even that brought about quite the stamina drain.
But he had to push through it. He had to win this. He had to win.
Steam shot violently from his pores, the accompanying sound echoing through the hall, sounding somewhat like a train whistle. A moment later, however, the boy was gone, his body phasing out of view via Rapid Movement.
Appearing a few meters away, Khoshai began to get into a stance in midair, grunting as his body struggled to amass his power, and focus it into a more offensive form. In the air around him, golden energy orbs the size of volleyballs began to take shape, floating in air around him. The energy orbs would continue to form until the orbs dotted across the ceiling of the arena like stars in the night sky.
"Raaaaaaaaagh!" The boy screamed as he pointed the energy orbs downwards. As if controlling the orbs, like in a video game, the energy orbs would rain down like cannonballs down upon Legume, directed by Khoshai's Ki.Post Count: 12 | Legume BATTLE TRACKER

It was either now or never. For the first time in the entire fight, Legume could tell that Khoshai's regeneration was starting to struggle with rebuilding the Majin's body, over and over and over. Unfortunately, this window of opportunity only arrived at a point where it was a do-or-die situation for the Super Saiyan. Off the top of his head, he could tell that his body was only going to allow a single Time Skip stop before his stamina finally gave in.
One last shot. Khoshai chose to not hold back even the tiniest bit of his strength, so it is only fair that Legume does the exact same. He's got a risky technique to put to use the first time in his life, after all. And with that pouring through his mind, the Super Saiyan suddenly charged forward, flying straight through the energy blasts peppering down on him. With every single Rapid Cannon blast striking him directly, it took a toll upon his already fragile energy reserves - Legume, however, could not afford getting himself distracted by dodging or flying around. What he was about to try to pull off required extreme concentration.
The first thing one is taught while studying the Time Skip technique is that, unlike energy blasts, unlike punches, unlike anything else on this planet, your muscle movements for the Time Skip technique must be more precise than a surgeon's. You need to flare your ki in such a sudden and violent manner and in such a short moment of time that it only stops time and nothing else. Do it too slowly or not flare your ki intensely enough? You simply won't activate it. Overshoot it with the intensity? Horrifying shenanigans take place. You might accidentally form wormholes, or break apart the fabric of space-time. And thus definitely, unquestionably die - hell, that's a fate even worse than death, you won't go to the Other World or anywhere if you vanish inside a wormhole or cut yourself to pieces with space-time rifts.
And this is exactly what Legume was trying to pull.
Because if he understood the way technique worked... and ignores all of that advice, flaring his aura even farther than what is required to dip into frozen time... but in such a precise manner that he instead breaks through space rather time...
NOW!
A powerful screeching sound rolled across the battlefield. Time did not freeze - instead, space did. It was the unseen twin brother to the Time Skip technique. Spacial Rend.
In the following fraction of a second which Legume had available before the spatial dimension restored itself to normal, Legume sent dozens upon dozens of sword slashes across the air in Khoshai's direction, each one manifesting itself as not an ordinary slash, but instead as a split in the spatial dimension itself. As gaping rifts, tears in a piece of paper, splitting apart everything in their path, until finally the Spacial Rend broke apart.
The hundreds of spectators of the match returned to normal, all of them stopping in awe, having just realized that everything, including themselves, had just completely frozen, except for the Super Saiyan. As if the Universe had briefly pressed a pause button, or they somehow witnessed the insides of the Time Skip in action. Molecules split apart by the Spacial Rend detonated in energetic explosions instantly, covering the entire battlefield as well as the skies above, through which the dimensional cuts continued.
Legume landed on the floor of the arena, falling down to one knee and breathing heavily.

And like that, it was over. A battle that had rocked the very arena, that had startled and stunned the crowd throughout...was over in an instant. For a moment, the crowd was confused as to what had happened. Legume's movement was so quick that they couldn't even register what had happened. Well, they couldn't even begin to comprehend the level of control over time that Legume boasted.
And for that matter, neither could Khoshai.
The poor boy didn't even understand how he lost. All he felt was a flash of intense pain as the slashes in space itself proceeded to cut into his frame, dozens of them compounding, one after another, before. He felt himself being torn to shreds, and then those shreds being torn into tinier shreds. This fight had escalated past the confines of an arena match, and in that single instant, using such a powerful technique against a young boy's whose magical regeneration was already on the fringes, was almost a death sentence. In fact, it nearly did kill the boy. If Legume threw a few more attacks in there, the boy would've been torn beyond what he could possibly mend with the magic he still had in reserve.
Khoshai's near obliteration was hidden behind the spectacular fireworks that the explosions from Legume's attacks caused. A wonderful view for the spectators served as an excellent and effective distraction from the horror that went on behind. But eventually, the explosions would fade, leaving a thick black smog in its' wake. There were no lumps of pink flesh left behind this time. Nothing to indicate the boy had even survived the ordeal.
And for a horrifying three minutes, not even a speck showed itself upon the battlefield. Only smoke.
Then, as the fourth minute began to drag on, something began to happen. Tiny specks, smaller than even confetti could produce, began to piece together, floating down from where-ever. Each speck so small that it was almost impossible to see separately, unless one truly had top notch eyesight....and was standing right there intentionally looking for something pink and small. The specks of pink dust would fall into a relative pile, each speck sparkling with a little magical charge. Then, it began to fuse together slowly.
Ever so slowly. Painfully slow, in fact.
But eventually, the boy was restored to normal. Well, as normal as he could possibly regenerate himself back to. The boy was unconscious, completely prone, lying on his back. His breathing was shockingly shallow, and several bruises adorned his body. He also appeared smaller than he already was, as if the magical regeneration had done an incomplete job, and had temporarily regressed the child physically in order to ensure the child remained whole, before exhausting itself entirely. His power level had plummeted to near negligible levels, and the same could be said for his magical reserves.
But the truth of the matter was as clear as it was undeniable.

Legume's lungs were burning and his muscles were on the verge of giving in for good. Fighting Majins and all of the abilities which their species entailed was always a chore, especially for someone like himself, who did not use energy blast techniques at all - but Khoshai, despite being a kid, was a triple chore and a cherry on top. Legume could have listed at least five times during the entire tournament match when Khoshai could have easily tipped the scales in his favor and he would have had little to do in response. But, thankfully, despite all adversity, the Super Saiyan prevailed.
And for some time, it wasn't even clear whether he was going to walk away from this unscathed. Khoshai... didn't seem to be anywhere. As if he had vaporized or vanished into the void completely. Wouldn't that count as illegal according to the rules of the match?.. Thankfully, Khoshai eventually did show up. Recollecting all of its pieces of matter into a single heap and... remaining knocked out. The Majin was down for the count. The voice of the announcer roared out, declaring Legume to be the victor of the match.
The Super Saiyan pulled himself back up on his feet and walked up to the unconscious Majin, looking down at the child for a few seconds, before finally turning away. He sheathed his weapon, his golden hair receded to the usual pitch black, and he raised a thumbs-up as he slowly walked out of the battlefield, surrounded by cheers coming from the entire arena.
Hope the prize money's enough to buy me a really really damn good bed. And twenty hours of uninterrupted sleep.
