H-How is that possible?! How could he survive such an assault? I threw everything I had into that!
Aubus watched in disbelief, his confidence waning with each passing second. This android was far surpassing any of Aubus' expectations. He understood that Kaijin Vex could not be allowed to live. But a seed of doubt had been implanted, and it was rapidly blooming. A harsh realization Aubus did not want to admit to himself.
He was losing.
He was not powerful enough to conquer this android. How then could he shape and guide the fate of the very universe, if he could not subdue one enemy?
T-This can't be!
Kaijin launched himself directly at Aubus, plowing a fist deep into his stomach. Gobs of spit flew from Aubus' gaping mouth, eyes bugging at the force of the assault. It was the first direct hit he'd taken from the android, and if that were the peak of its strength, he could not survive this ordeal. Aubus staggered backward, arms wrapped protectively over his stomach as he fought to regain his breath.
He would be offered little time to recover as Kaijin unleashed a powerful blast of energy at point-blank range, looking to sweep Aubus up in the aftermath. It was pure instinct that Aubus managed to dodge it, the ground exploding at his feet, the momentum sending him surging backwards through the air. He landed roughly on the ground, skidding to a harsh stop and sweeping up a trail of disturbed sand in his wake.
His arms trembled as Aubus lifted himself slowly from the ground. He squeezed his eyes shut, letting out a grunt of frustration at his inability to end this foe. Rising gingerly to his feet, shoulders heaving and falling as he sucked in each agonizing breath, Aubus glared fiercely at the android.
"There is no longer any doubt in my mind. You must be erased. I don't believe for a moment that there is a seed of corruption within you. I will not allow you to cultivate that seed. I will destroy. Mark my words."
Aubus raised a hand, igniting a brilliant flash of bright energy. It worked similar to a flashing strobe, affording him a moment to turn and blast off into the sky, flying at top speed as he made his getaway.
He would regroup, and recover.
And the next time he encounter Kaijin Vex, he would utterly destroy him.

Kaijin felt the satisfying crunch of metal upon flesh as his fist connected with Aubus's stomach, the Kai surprised by such a powerful blow. However, he was disappointed to an extent that Aubus had managed to dodge the Ki blast that may or may not have spelled the end.
But Kaijin was feeling himself right now, loving his newfound power. Aubus's energy was amazing....he wanted more of it. He needed more of it. He truly felt like a god now, a god amongst gods. He was even more pleased to see that Aubus was beginning to weaken. The unwavering hubris was beginning to break, and the exhaustion evident on the Kai's face. Exhaustion that Kaijin could not feel. Pain that Kaijin could not feel. Kaijin was a machine, one hundred percent synthetic. He was built to continue his efforts until he was completely destroyed. His power output in the beginning would be the same as his power output at the end, unless he wasn't going all out of course. Aubus was fighting against an opponent who can not and will not tire. To Kaijin, there was no way he could possibly lose. Aubus had proven a worthy opponent, but even a God could not compare to one who was painstakingly worked on for years, with the intention of being perfect, with the intention of being able to tackle and destroy anything. With the intention of being greater than Gods.
Either way, Kaijin was reveling in Aubus's desperation. It was nearly sadistic. He couldn't help but laugh. Even through the bright flash, Kajin continued to laugh. Even as Aubus flew away....
He was still laughing.
This proved it. Kaijin was perfect. A machine capable of beating gods. He was better then even divine beings. He was bound to become the best fighter in the universe. And this Kai, if he chose to get in the way, would simply die. '
He would make sure of it. Soon...very soon, the world would know the name Kaijin Vex. And would tremble in terror. Kaijin would wait until the man had flown away, to fly back in the direction of North City. His plan was to return to Dr. Janus, undergo serious repairs, and then head back out.
For he had a Kai to hunt.
