A whirlpool of sheared space. The phenomena raced towards a helpless, airborne Ghost for not but a sliver of a moment ago, he had been tossed towards it; from the arms of his guardians and into a circle of carved-out space. Prior, so recent that, for Ghost, it was still the present, emotions ran high and he? Why, Ghost found himself in a state of mental paralysis, a state of shock. He felt the tug of both arms, one parent upon each, before his vision was consumed by gyrating chaos.
His vision went black as he fell from the portion of folded space behind him. He felt an impact upon his front as he came into contact with the ground. However, it all happened as consciousness left him. Time escaped him and the state of derangement and confusion he began with is exactly what he awoke with.
‘They threw me through a FUCKING portal! Husks of stinking garbage! Twisted, daft SHITS!’ His thoughts stormed his head as he held it in one supportive hand. His facial features - they were obscured by a large, white mask; but they certainly betrayed his inner monologue. His unseeable expression was pained and fatigued. He drove his sword into the ground before him, rested the majority of its weight upon it as he used that time to gather himself. ‘Attain power. Venture back. Kill them… Pull their entrails out. Choke them with it. Watch them choke on their own shit.’
“But…” He spoke aloud for the first time within his new-found environment. “That’s just doing exactly what they want me to do…” His words were, seemingly, cast towards nobody. He was in his own company - at least, as far as his speech was concerned.
‘No. Strength for yourself. Strength to use on them. Don’t be so weak and pathetic…
Ghost.’
“Ghost?” He asked within the fog encompassing him, submersing him. It gradually cleared, leaving the floor of a forest at his feet. Like a face drained of its colour, the soils sported nigh monochrome paints. The rotting cadavers of trees were all around, albeit ostensibly spirited away for their hollowed-out stumps were all that remained. They possessed a melancholic lean, a listless sag and the silence was nearly deafening.

“Four-thousand nine-hundred ninety-eight...”Sweat trickled off of her face in a rivulet of translucent beads. Somewhere around twenty-five hundred Cipher switched from regular one-handed handstand pushups to two finger handstand pushups. Bearing the burden of a cybernetic arm, there was no use in using it as a crutch to help her with her training. In that moment, she worked within the confines of a sophisticated facility. Like most of her and her team’s acquisitions, she trained within a room with the highest technology meant to push the body’s limits to the utmost pinnacle. Her breaths grew rugged and her body burned with the desire to stop. Cipher’s mind disagreed with the urge. She needed to keep going. I am a saiyan. This is nothing for me...The room multiplied gravity by many times the planet’s natural pull. Over a hundred times, in fact. Coupled with her impossibly weighted clothing, the workout was spartan in design. It demanded everything from her body and more. A robotic voice croaked something about how many times the gravity surpassed the logical limits of the human body. Irrelevant. She did not possess a body that could be described as anything close to human. She needed to press on. She completed another repetition, and felt her body demanding she stop. Hesitating for a moment, she pushed herself up slowly one more time. “Five-thousand...—”Cipher managed to complete the motion before her words concluded, however, before she could utter the last breath of words the atmosphere shifted. The saiyan’s eyes widened as she hit the floor and slowly pushed herself up. Turning around, she noticed a hole. Not in the ship, not in any material thing in the room but rather in the air itself. A cyclone vacuumed in what little things she kept in the vicinity into a shimmering black rift. Out of instinct, she struggled to grab hold of a random mechanical pillar in the centre of the room displaying the current amount the gravitational pull was amplified. As much as she wanted to resist the pull, she knew it was impossible in her current state. Fatigued and suffering the effects of higher gravity, she was pried into the clutches of the twisted anomaly. And was spat out into the middle of nowhere. Skidding across the ground in nothing but boots, gloves, shorts and a tube top, she took laboured breaths as she opted to clear her mind. Blankets of mist and severed trees littered the area around her. Fuck, what now? She thought to herself, grabbing a nearly empty bag of beans that were vomited out of the hole alongside her. Popping one into her mouth and chewing, she regained her vitality in a heartbeat. Following that, she brought herself back up to her feet and groggily turned her attention to her surroundings. Cipher never seen this place before. Didn’t look like it was anywhere on Earth. Just how far had she been transported? Where was she? It seemed like a planet and not a moon. Whatever the case was, she needed to get off of there and back to her home fast. Ghost | 520/520 words

No answer.
Generally when the fey creature posed a question to himself, an answer was prepared. However, none came. He was left there to endure a chilling breeze that swept his modest figure over, furled the humble cloth adorning his neck and shoulders. The silence was less than inviting. What his eyes caught sight of did not present him with any idea as to how to proceed. He knew not where he was still. So, he remain silent and still until a sounding caught his ears.
He turned a glance over his shoulder. The holes in his helmet, filled with depthless black, peered towards a body that while once was not standing there, currently was. A rupture in the air itself ostensibly sealed itself back up; a phenomena resolved of its own accord. Its origins were still fresh in his mind and, doubtlessly, his assumption of his guardians involvement was more than an educated guess. It did little but bring tears to his seemingly non-existent eyes. The prospect of somebody, falling within a tanglement of family issues, appearing was ineptly pushed to the wayside.
So, while Cipher had the opportunity to gaze downward at a crying black figure wrapped in a cowl and hidden away behind a white, ghostly mask, the briefly absent voice took its rightful place, or rather the exact opposite of what could be considered its rightful place, back inside the demon’s head. ‘Do you not see…’ it began with a dramatic, serious tone. ‘The hotness before you!?” Its tone became more accusive, loud, desperate and demanding; so much so that Ghost himself winced. To onlookers, it was an unmotivated action. ‘A girl appears before you, with a TAIL even and you don’t assert your DOMINANCE?!”
“I-I don’t know where I am…” Ghost whined. Where were his words directed? This time, they appeared to be aimed towards both the new arrival and his inward companion - or nuisance; a twisted guide driven by primal, selfish, and hateful desires. And then suddenly, abrupt, he started wailing. The awkwardness knew no bounds. The crying erupting from him was just as overwhelming as the pulse of all-consuming black that exploded from beneath his feet. The environment was swept over by a sheet of black. Now, his environment was nothing but blackness. Those within it could see each other somehow; but as for where they were - if they were curious as to where they were before, they no longer possessed any hope of determining it by sight.

What manner of creature was this? She found herself staring at a diminutive figure enveloped in a cowl. It was difficult to decipher its exact form; it seemed to be comprised of darkness itself. The mask it wore reminded her of some kind of apparition. Normally, she would have thought this was exceptionally cool to look at. Things that were eerie and as malicious seeming as herself were always alluring, resulting an interest in the horror genre. However, given that she still was in the process of groggily figuring out just what was transpiring, it and its sorrowful gesture only fuelled her confusion. Her brow furrowed. Could it be that this entity pulled her there? She heard of things like portals and dimensional travel. The manner of which she was pulled into the area seemed reminiscent of it. Before she could express her befuddlement in word form, the entity spoke up, revealing that it could talk, and that it seemed to be just as confused as she was. For Cipher, who didn’t have any clue what was going on, it was nothing shy of a miracle for her now empty bag of senzu beans to be sucked into the strange portal alongside her. As her heart beat faster, she knew that she needed to be on guard at all times. When the being began wailing, she took a tentative and preparatory step back. ”What the hell...” She muttered, but was cut off by the sudden all-consuming blackness that shrouded the area. Her muscles tensed and her eyes narrowed. Instinctively, she took to the air and hovered there as her attention remained fixed on the supposed culprit. Now on edge more than ever, she wondered just what in the name of all that wasn’t holy was occurring before her eyes. First she was moved to an area she didn’t know, in a strange forest that seemed to be stripped of all life, and now there was a tormented apparition of some sort claiming the area around them in nightly colours. Instead of a look of horror, a grin spread across her face like wildfire. Tilting her head to the side, she waited in anticipation towards just what kind of development was about to occur. Despite being on edge, she felt thrilled by the possibility of something chaotic and unpredictable happening. It would break the monotony of her training and maybe even find a way to bolster her power more. An opportunity to push herself, an opportunity to get stronger, and opportunity to fight. Her excitement roughed the very edges of her irises as she appeared unhinged. ”Heeeeey! What are you doing? What’s going to happen? Are you some kind of ghost or something? What’s all of this black shit?!” Ghost | 458/978

He stopped.
Tears began to trickle to a halt. Sniffles and the beginnings of recollection of one’s fractured self ensued, seemingly, as the saiyan’s hollar and initial question took full hold of the demon’s attention. The following inquiries appeared to wash him over as he stared towards her; a deer caught in headlights. “I-I dunno…” he answered following the passing of a fleeting moment.
‘Idiot,’ the voice spat inside his head. ‘You ‘dunno’ if you’re a ghost or not? That’s your name now…’ Abruptly, Ghost spoke in union with his inner voice… but what Cipher heard was two voices at once.
“WE WILL NOT GO BY THE NAME GIVEN TO US BY THOSE PUTRID SWINE.” It was a tone unbefitting of his form, but despite the lack of threat the creature truly was, something chilling managed to cling to the distorted words nonetheless. The nonsensicality of it, a response unprompted, could only confuse, put off. “I-I’m a demon. My name’s… Ghost.”
All the while, slivers of white collected to Ghost’s front. They were silent and intensely visible, but went unnoticed by the preoccupied, shaken creature. The lines of white gathered, climbed each other in a whirling, intricate dance; the spinning of a silken form grew ever-the-more apparent. It stopped, leaving a seven-foot figure standing there. All was obscured by the hooded, white cloak it wore and its face - none could be seen through the veil of black obscuring it.
Power pulsed from it, but not perceivable by sight. However despite this, Ghost only turned to face it. It was a strength between the pitiful demon’s and the saiyan’s, but he appeared completely unaware. It rose an arm casually, slowly, and allowed a hand to slide out from the large sleeve previously harbouring it. Its long, boney, pale fingers unfurled, uncurled into a gesture that beckoned the small creature.
“If you are lost, come with me,” it began. Its voice was deep, fathery, albeit raspy. “I can show you the way.”
There was a pause, but it was not one that lasted very long before Ghost started forward with cautious steps that eventually would bleed into a skitter.

“I-I dunno…”Cipher’s brow creased under the heavy weight of her confusion. Her ecstatic expression momentarily sobered while she waited with patience for the creature’s next response. As fate would have it, the duration that elapsed before the ensuing exclamation was exceptionally brief. When she heard the eccentric bellow, indisputably ill-suited for the entity’s form, her eyes widened and her brow heightened. Her wide grin mirrored a crescent moon, her svelte frame leaning back in the air before laughter erupted from her plush lips. It was not of something like audacious mockery, but spirited enjoyment—though that hardly masked the malicious and fickle air each subsequent expulsion of air was riddled with. Cipher was still painfully unaware of what was going on, but she was enjoying herself to say the least. After a few moments, her laughter ebbed and she dispensed a chain of words that nearly concluded before something else occurred. ”A demon, eh? Sounds like my kind of company. My name is Ci...” Before she could finish, she quickly noticed another anomaly forming before her very eyes within the ocean of darkness she hovered in the midst of. Its formation reminded her of the formation of a spider’s web, the level of meticulous detail put into weaving each intertwined alabaster sliver the predominant culprit. The most her honey-coloured irises were able to deduce about the creature was it was tall, dwarfing her by at least two feet. In spite of that, the saiyan was not known to intimidation. Not feeling any immediate threat, she decided to lower herself to the ground, her boots soundlessly landing on whatever questionable material the ground found itself comprised of. Sliding her hands into her pockets, the look on her face, volatile as ever, dulled once. She suppressed whatever monstrosity of a personality lurked within her own soul, until her expression seemed uncharacteristically sober and dull once again. When the duo started off in another direction, she leaned forward and furrowed her brow. She narrowed her eyes, her lips curling downward into a distinct from while she started to march forward with weighted footsteps. ”Hey. I’m lost, too. And if you know the wretch who brought me here without my consent, I advise you tell me, Salad Fingers.” Ghost | 375/1353

‘I like her.’ The thought was both simple and brief. Her laughter caught Ghost off-guard, both the external and internal variants. However, interruption befell the both of them. His thoughts were dominated by the discovery of a person of interest, but Ghost - he was transfixed by the white figure beckoning for him to follow after it. So, he followed in silence with Cipher in his wake.
There was a raspy breath expelled from the mysterious figure; long, tired. It served as his response, but it did little to enlighten anybody on anything. Meanwhile, Ghost kept his gaze at its feet with assistance from his short stature. He could see none with the furling fabrics curtaining what he imagined would be feet. He did not that he was drifting just above the ground.
The cloak it wore started to singe at its ends. The space they entered warmed up with each progressive step. Ghost stopped as he watched the white cloaked figure do the same. As it turned, already did fire start to creep up the cloak. It consumed the clothing, leaving a flaming construct of bones staring towards them with not eyes, but empty sockets.
He was floating over a lava pit.
Ghost and Cipher had yet to reach it yet. What environment they were in before had left them, fading to reveal their location at the foot of a volcano. The sky possessed pink and blue hues. It was truly an alien atmosphere.
“...Huh?” Ghost uttered, taking a step backwards and turning an eye to either side.

As she followed behind the duo, she noticed the taller entity’s response to her antics. Keeping both hands in her pockets, her expression sobered once again and her lips curled into a deceptively serene smile. In spite of the curvature of her lips, there was an ocean of malice contained within her honey-dyed orbs while she drilled her gaze through the creature. “Your choice, love.”Seeing the fringes of the cloak begin to singe, she tilted her head to the side. Her expression remained mostly the same—neutral and ambiguous. When the others came to a stop, she halted in turn. Heat from a then unknown source brushed against her skin and Cipher already started to look around for the source of the change. She snorted when flames spread across his makeshift canopy like a virus. Even when she ended up looking into the empty eyes of a resolute statue of infernal bones, her composure seemed undisturbed. As though she found the sight quaint, she smiled and rectified the posture of her neck. Then, she raised her head and continued looking at it as soon as her attention was drawn to the igneous pit he floated over. An attentive glance towards Ghost before she fixed her attention on the entity once more. Narrowing her eyes, she started to individually crack each finger on her remaining organic hand with the use of its thumb. The periodic popping of bone and cartilage emanated throughout the vicinity. “Oh?” Ghost | 245/1598

The skull, sitting atop a tower of charing vertebrae, fell upon a gradual tilt as it looked towards the stalled pair. Like before, a droning, elongated groan escaped it while the soundings origins specifically was an eerie thing to ponder. “Saw through…” Its words were grating, slow and world-weary as if they always escaped it during a lengthy sigh. “Too early…”
Ghost decided to take a few more paces backwards while his mind screamed at him to tear the threatening being before him limb from limb. The divided mind proved rather paralyzing for the demon. It appeared as if he could only watch as the skeleton rose an arm, and then in a dismissive gesture, caused the majority of the lava pool to rush outwards. It rose up and lunged forward with the intention to come down and wash them both over.
At the last second, Ghost grabbed the sword at his back and swiped forward. There was power within it, power enough to bring with it a sharp, lava-parting gale. It opened up a gap enough that none touched him. The little creature was nigh impossible to read, but it stood within the finishing pose of the action, unmoving.

As the entity drew its arm upward, Cipher narrowed her eyes. In spite of that, she maintained her smile while her golden eyes kept the presumed demon under lock and key. She was already suspicious of the being since she first looked at it, and the gesture and rise in power weren’t making it any better. In truth, she hoped that conflict would arise from the event. Cipher would get her wish as she noticed that, with a familiar dismissive gesture, he sent the majority of the lava sitting within the pool flying towards the two of them. That eliminated the possibility of the more diminutive creature named Ghost not being on its side, that was for sure. It also cemented the fact that it most likely had a little of a clue what was going on as she did. In biblical fashion, she watched in her peripheral as Ghost parted the sea of red with but a motion from a blade once mounted on his back. She had little time to think on the subject herself as there was a deluge of molten rock heading her way. But before it could get to her, the encroaching, seething liquid death was halted by something imperceptible. The more observant may have noticed ripples extending over the surface of something in the air where the waves were halted, but its duration existing was exceptionally short-lived. It seemed as though there was some kind of imperceptible field around Cipher at all times, and some of it seeped over to Ghost and guarded him against whatever residual lava he failed to part if any at all. In an equally dismissive gesture, Cipher raised her hand and shooed the lava away. Roughly half of the molten rock rushing towards them abruptly made its way back towards their aggressor. That wasn’t at, however. While the lava was hurdling back towards its original user, she collected emerald ki into her palm. It could be described as elegant the manner in which she apathetically tossed a small sphere of ki towards the entity. Cipher used the molten rock to her advantage, letting it obscure the existence of her energy sphere until, hopefully, it was too late. With her lips curled into a soft smirk, she watched as the orb detonated, resulting in an all-enveloping green explosion that would quake the eerie expanse for miles on end. Inevitably, it would quick up a torrential cyclone of crimson from the pit, if not eradicate the majority of it. Cipher ran her tongue over her lips, slurping her saliva. She didn’t know why the entity was attacking her, but she would assure that it regretted it. Ghost | 445/2043

“Huh?” Curious was the sight of fragments of molten rock impacting a force that while absent before, was very much present around the demon after fending off some of the entity’s attack. The evoked phenomena appeared to be a display of telekinetic ability - seemingly. If it were not lava, but unbridled energy instead, Ghost may have not been so lucky.
He watched the lava reverse direction and then turned partially away from the explosion the saiyan created. Of course, Ghost did not possess much idea of the scale of power the two harboured, but what he did see as the smoke cleared was their aggressor. It was missing in arm, broken away more than halfway up the appendage.
It looked as if stone had been broken away. It was difficult to tell from looking at the piece that had broken away for it already fell into and beneath the surface of the molten rock underfoot.
‘Dangerous. Stay back, fool. Can’t you see what’s going on here?’
“O-okay… I’ll stay back,” Ghost replied aloud to himself. All the while, what existing arm the being had left, it used it to reach forward after a speedy relocation to Cipher. It reached forward with the intention of grabbing a hold of her be it her shoulder, her arm, and really wanted to throw her into what lava remained in the adjacent pool.

”Mmm, that’s it. Enough of the foreplay...”Fighting, to say the least, was no sexual thing—but her soft tone was as sultry as it could get. Her words left her while the dust and debris cleared and revealed the entity’s maimed form. The saiyan tilted her head to the side leisurely, cracking her neck with a satisfying pop while she kept her eyes focused on her target. She was a little bit surprised it was able to survive her Eraser Cannon, and because of that, she ended up respecting it significantly more than before. ”Don’t ruin it for me and finish early, love.”As usual, her reason for being there and the actual objective slipped her mind. The only thing she truly cared about at that moment was being able to savour yet another contest of wills and strength. When she looked at its form and noticed that she significantly damaged its body, the lone thought in her mind pertained to taking its leg next. She felt grateful for its resilience and willpower because if it hadn’t had some kind of motivation to get itself killed or worse then she would be deprived of the delectable combat she almost entirely lived for. The entity relocated in an instant. While she turned around to face the source of power, she felt a malefic grasp on her shoulder. Her brow wrinkled under the weight of her momentary confusion and partial amusement, the imperceptible hairs on her body all standing on end with the continuous thrill of battle. Rather than attempting to avoid the attack, she allowed the creature to throw her towards whatever molten rock remained within the ransacked cavity. As Cipher flew in the direction of what certainly would be a painful experience, she continued smiling at the figure from ear to ear. Before she connected with the lava, she came to an abrupt halt. She levitated in the air and brought herself to a stop just before impact. The heat alone was enough to singe away at her clothing, though the weighted material comprising it seemed resilient enough to remain intact despite the alarming temperature. To compare, it felt like someone was focusing a giant magnifying glass against her back. This time around, she didn’t launch an attack in retaliation. Cipher seemed less than serious at that moment, either that or the Earthling part of her wanted to know just what was happening. Maybe this creature just didn’t like saiyans? “I’m going to go out on a limb here,” She paused, because that pun was funny, “Because I like the dark and gritty races of this universe and give you a chance to explain why you’ve taken me on this little play date. Fragments precipitated from the broken appendage. It idled there as the saiyan came to an abrupt halt and did the same as she inquired as to the purpose behind its assault. It did not seem entirely interested in crafting a response; but instead, its body dissolved at a more rapid pace. The whole of it disappeared and not but a mournful groan escaped it as the last of it evanesed.
Without further input from each, there would only be silence with the company of a subtle breeze. Ghost appeared content with breaking the silence if he had to. “...Thank you,” he said as he reached out to touch whatever force had surrounded him - that is, if it still existed. “I don’t know why my parents sent me here all of a sudden… maybe they’re tired of me.”
‘Strength.’

While tilting her head to the side quizzically, Cipher watched as the entity dissolved away. She briefly wondered if it had something to do with her attack or if it had something to do with the strange environment they were placed within. The saiyan was certain she recognized this planet to some extent; she recalled at one point it was associated with Hoax, at least from the look of it. All too aware of how wrong she could be with the number of planets in the universe, she decided to not jump to conclusions. Besides, it had little impact in terms of figuring out what was going on. Deciding that it was time to get away from the infernal pit, she hovered away from it. Thankfully, she had wrapped her tail tightly around her waist in order to avoid any painfully singed hairs. Floating away from the dangerous cavity, she made her way back towards the demon known as Ghost. It reminded her, somewhat, of Hoax. Obviously, the latter was less demonic, but in terms of size and stature, the similarities were blatant. Everything else was laughably distinct. Cipher’s footwear clapped sharply on the ground as she landed. For the time being, she decided to suppress her power level down to a meager one in order to establish some element of surprise should something else points its fury in her direction. As she did this, she heard Ghost express his gratitude. Before she could answer it, she raised her brow once she heard the entity express grievance towards its current level of strength, and the opinion of his parents. She sported an ambiguous expression that was difficult to get a read on. “No problem. But don’t you know? Everyone is a weakling,” The saiyan said, her grin spreading across her face. “No matter how strong you become, there’s always someone stronger. But that perpetual desire for power is what makes it fun. Without it? It’d be boring...” Cipher raised her hands in resignation, her grin diminishing for a moment as she closed her eyes. “Or some shit like that. I’m not into the philosophy game much, yeah? Fight, fight, fight, fight and fight some more. The most important thing to keep in mind is the only thing that matters is fighting itself.”Finishing her spiel, she beamed another smirk in Ghost’s direction. Even though she was half earthling, saiyan ideologies were strong with her. The tail she boasted was a physical representation of that, but the way she carried herself and lived was by far superior evidence. With that said, she directed her attention around her, gauging how much the environment changed since the dissolution of the entity that blighted them before. As much as she would enjoy staying there and beating up anything else that decided to launch an assault on her, she was painfully aware of the fact she needed to get back less she draws the worry and or ire of the people waiting for her back at home. “I think a guy named Hoax is familiar with this place.” Ghost | 509/3019

‘Do you hear that?’ questioned his other self. ‘She has generously given you purpose - never-ending purpose!’ Ghost stood there after her words were spoken. His head moved subtly as if he were hearing something, but the words were destined for his ears only - or rather, his mind. ‘Seek power! Slay them with power! Seek more power! It’s so simple. Understand?’
Ghost snapped to. His attention was obviously upon the saiyan once more. “Seek power. Okay,” he echoed, summarized. “A guy named Hoax? ...Could this person be contacted by any chance?” He plunged his sword into the ground before moving to rub his hands together slightly as he awaited a response.
For the moment, however, it seemed as if everything was in a lull - perhaps one in preparation for more to come. “I- I’m not familiar with this place. I thought it was still Hell, but I’m getting the impression that… it isn’t at all. I haven’t heard of a place like this before. It looks… strange.” Ghost looked about, upwards at the alien sky.

As Cipher listened to the demon talk, she ascertained that he did not know Hoax. Then again, it would be odd if the koalajin shared company with something of demonic origin; he didn’t strike her as the type. Whether or not he could be contacted would depend on how much of her stuff was spat out of the portal alongside her. If she had at least some of the gear she transported around through convenient capsules, it may be possible to establish a connection with Hoax through a communicative device. From there, they would be able to obtain more information on their whereabouts and hopefully find out a way to escape its clutches before it was too late. While the promise of combat sounded alluring to her, she also had specific people she needed to slaughter. And it seemed like she had a window of time, too. After she took a look around, it seemed as though nothing was happening at all. A period of tranquility. It bored her and left a feeling of nausea in her gut. As a member of a race who nearly exclusively enjoyed dying bloody on the battlefield, her feelings were caught between getting back and track and just standing there and waiting for more entities to come along and get beat up by her currently unrivalled brawn. If Hoax could supply more information on the cotton candy rock, then perhaps it would be possible to milk it as an area she could utilize for training regiments. It seemed extreme enough, and she was looking for extreme environments to push herself in… After she listened to Ghost help narrow down what locations this place wasn’t, the saiyan crossed her arms beneath her chest. Closing her eyes and furrowing her brow, she sifted through the information within her mind. “I’d be fucked if it were Hell, not sure I can survive there without some means. This place could be useful, though. Seems like it could really push you if needbe…” Cocking her head to the side, she proceeded to shrug and rummaged around the ground. Rescuing a small capsule she dropped earlier, she threw it on the ground and barely batted an eye towards the ensuing cloud of smoke. The saiyan picked up something that resembled 80’s technology but was much more advanced by a good five hundred years. It wasn’t quite a phone; it was something significantly more powerful that could transmit hologram-based video calls from across space. She dialed in the tone that would connect them to Hoax and waited. Ghost | 429/3448 words

Hearing she would not be able to survive normally while within his home realm, it became fairly obvious that he was among mortals in the realm of the living. “...Huh, I’m among the living.” Ghost uttered to himself, which was an occurrence likely becoming more and more familiar, commonplace. He said many things to himself, ostensibly having full-on conversations with himself.
While he just closed in on the Saiyan with a curious slew of footsteps, he took a step back as the cloud of smoke erupted from the small capsule. ‘What kind of demonic sorcery is this!?’ The voice in his head received no answer. It was within its own company, after all; at least for the moment. Ghost watched as the device, left in the smoke’s wake, was picked up and utilized.
Meanwhile somewhere on Earth, a blue-furred alien with black eyes, antenna - the whole nine yards when it comes to alien appearances - from its mid-torso to its head, the hologram popped up for both Cipher and Ghost to view. “Hello?” He asked, although Cipher’s appearance was more than enough to wave away the need for such a cliche greeting. “Oh, hey. Cipher. What’s going on?”
Hoax’s attention shifted about, assuming he was able to view the surroundings - hopefully in colour. If so, he would comment without hesitation. “Are you… Are you on Oneiri?”

Fortunately, reception was possible even on the eccentric planet they found themselves on. After she called, the holo-call was received by Hoax and she quickly found herself looking at the sapphire-furred alien. After he asked her what was going on, her lips spread into a momentary smirk while she shot her immediate vicinity a glance of her own. “Well…” Hoax beat her to it. She knew the name of the planet sounded familiar, but she couldn’t remember it for the life of her. The most she knew about the planet was that her alien friend knew about it and that its atmosphere seemed to appear blue and pink from a range. Granted, she never was able to see that today because of the circumstances. The exact properties of the planet, what lived on it, and other characteristics were completely unknown to the saiyan. “That’s the one. Seems like me and a demon by the name of Ghost were suddenly transported here. I’m currently seeking the wretch responsible. I was in the middle of training, after all,” Her voice did not fail to express her malice towards the culprit even despite her soft tone. It was unclear whether or not she cared about being brought to the hellish location, or if it was just the lack of consent issued that pissed her off about it. Still, her irritation, as always, seemed to be conveyed in the most eccentric of ways. “I have no idea how we were brought here. Some kind of wormhole swallowed me up and before I knew it, I was spat out here…”Pausing for a moment, she placed a hand under her chin and turned her attention upwards. “Saw a lot of dead trees, and then everything changed. Could barely see anything but ourselves and others. A skeletal entity of sorts attacked us but seemed to relent after I attacked it, dissolving away. I can’t ascertain what’s with this planet, could you shed some light on it? Free fights are amazing, but I’ll need to get off of this rock at some point.” Ghost | 358/3806 words

“Demon?” Hoax’s face loomed closer to the nearby entity. It did not separate itself from the communication device, but it became rather evident that Hoax’s attention was upon Ghost. His eyes narrowed at his silently scrutinized the being, but he said nothing towards it. Hoax’s observation came to a halt with Ghost noticing and stepping backwards in retreat of his black, judging eyes - though, it almost appeared as if it should be the other way around since one would think Ghost had nothing but empty sockets, but saw nonetheless.
“Well, that’s certainly odd. I can’t shed any light in regards to how you got there, but that planet - you said some variety of skeleton attacked you?” He placed a contemplative finger to his chin. His gaze fell elsewhere momentarily. “Hm… Well, that planet has no life on it. The only life it has is the life that it temporarily creates. It’s a fairly nasty planet I wasn’t able to find a use for…
“It probes the minds of those who visit it and fashions scenery and monsters from its resources into literal living nightmares in the hopes of subduing and consuming visitors. It likes to take in the lifeforce of living organisms.” He paused. “It… would take most, if not all of its own lifeforce to prepare something that had the potential of besting you - likely something it would only do if it felt the whole of it was threatened… but I’m rambling. I can swing on by if you need a ride.”

For a moment, Cipher shot a glance back towards Ghost when Hoax’s attention seemed to have shifted towards him. The entire exchange warranted silence from the woman. She could understand the alien’s suspicion; it was a being that literally originated from Hell, after all. Over the last little while, even though she could not confess to having that good of a read on the entity yet, she came to the conclusion that it did not seem to harbour any malice—yet, at least. Needless to say, she held off on commenting on that unless it would become more relevant to the subject at hand. As it turned out, Hoax did not have any leads on how they may have arrived there, which lead Cipher to believe it may not have anything to do with the actual planet itself. There was the possibility that there was life on the planet tucked away somewhere, but the koalajin disproved that assumption. A lifeless planet that harboured nothing but the entities that it created. While listening to Hoax explain the situation, she kept her arms crossed underneath her chest. Plunging a forceful hand into the mind of those residing on it, the planet would forge monsters and scenery according to their very nightmares. It sounded like something straight out of a horror flick, and even though she could potentially be subject to it, she practically salivated at the idea of it. Fights, after all. There was a twinge of excitement beaming in her eyes when she heard it could fashion something with the ability to beat her, though it would take all of its lifeforce in order to accomplish such a thing. Raising one hand to scratch her chin, a few moments of heavy silenced ensued before she conjured a response and channeled it through parted lips. “I think I have a purpose in mind for it, you might have already come to the conclusion.” She started, her eyes moving towards Ghost, before returning to Hoax once again. “Fighting and training. I wonder if the planet could be somehow enhanced in order to make the process less taxing on it. A globe that forces you to overcome your own nightmares in a bout of heated combat sounds like a paradise for anyone who wants to fight and get stronger, both mentally and physically.” She concluded, taking a look around once again for emphasis. “...But, that would require equipment I currently lack, and a means of getting back. Since it just fucking threw me in here, I don’t have much of my stuff with me. I’d owe you one if you swung by with your ship,” Tapping her lips for a moment, her eyes darted towards Ghost once again. “Would you mind if Ghost boarded the ship, too? It looks like he was stranded here like me.” Ghost | 471/4277 words
